Chapter 17: Melting the Hearts

7/6 5:26 PM Amano Household

Yukiteru was in his bedroom, sitting on his bed, looking down at the floor for a second. A small smile was on his face. Next, he was getting dressed thinking about the past hours when he went to see his family at the police station.

Yukiteru's POV

Mr. Amano was talking with Nijishima and Akise in the interrogation room

"My dad was put into protective custody, he would volunteer to do some community service to help pay off his debts. Well, it was suggested by Gajeel and the other dragon slayers."

Ms. Amano had a conversation with Gajeel in a conference room. "Gajeel and the other wizards revealed their identities to my mother. She was quite surprised, and I thought she'd faint. However, she was happy and grateful that they stood by my side for the next months."

Tsubaki was working with several officers. "Tsubaki has gotten a lot better, and her Diary has been upgraded to keep tabs on her friends. I heard she's got Akise's number. I asked him if he thought of dating her, and he said, "Honestly, I never thought of dating a girl, at least not yet."

"Honestly, Tsubaki is also learning about katana sword play, if she masters it well, she can join in the battle. She also seems to get along with Kagura and offers to share her kimono attires."

Rea Amano and Kurou Amano talked with their son and Yuno in the conference room after Gajeel and his friends were done.

"My mother and dad, we all talked about how I felt. I revealed that Dad told me about what he did that caused them to get divorced. My mother felt somewhat bad for not telling him sooner and I had some false hope. Honestly, words can't describe that I was a little heartbroken, but, mom said...

"Yuki, I know this is painful, but, your father will still try to make up for what he did by doing community service until his debt is paid off." Rea Amano said with assuring look on her face. "No matter, what happens, you'll be always our little boy, dad will visit us when he gets the chance. As for your wish, I'm not sure if there's a chance of us getting back together."

Yuki was silent until he looked at his parents and smiled at them. "I see...well...I...I...have to go get home, but, I'll call you guys later." He walked out without making a fuss or complaining. "Honestly, I hoped they would get given a shot, even though, their chance of getting back together was slim. At least, they were honest with me."

"Yuno had something to say, at first, I thought she'd get mad or something...but..."

"Mr. and Ms. Amano I know that Yuki is feeling down at the moment. Though, I will stand by his side and make sure he's on his feet and...I'm sure the others will help him through this."

"Honestly, Yuno's words made me happy. Sure, she's a stalker and crazy, but, I can't describe how much her words meant to me." Yuki took out his picture of her and him together in that wedding rehearsal. "Yuno...thank you."

On the road, Yuno was taking a cab. "To think, I would spend time at the bathhouse with girls. I suppose it's not too bad. Good thing, Ms. Amano rented it out for us for the night." She then looked out the window. "Mom...dad...I wonder how you'd react if you saw I had friends...would you be proud or belittle me like you always did." Her parents' face flashed into her mind like a terrible nightmare.

"Miss...are you okay?" The driver asked noticing her upset look.

"I'm fine," Yuno growled quietly startling the driver. "S-sorry..."

Gajeel and the male earthland wizards were having another chat with each other in the police conference room.

"So, one of the demons was defeated," Rogue spoke.

"Yeah, I believe it was the demon Puppetina the one that killed Keigo," Gajeel answered who was leaning against the wall.

Sting was quite surprised by what he heard from Chelsea. "To think the demon was able to use magic and a curse power all together,"

Lector agreed with his best friend. "Yeah, a demon that uses magic tools as if it was Holder Type Magic. Talk about insane."

"I think so too," Frosch commented.

Lily was sitting on a chair with his legs crossed. "Yeah, so far, the only demon we encountered in the past month was the one Torafuzar." Gajeel narrowed his eyes upon hearing that name. "Not only that, there are still four demons left and that Machias who kidnapped Yuno."

Ace had his arms crossed looking down at the floor. "It shocks me that there's a machine that has affection for Yuno Gasai."

Hibiki brushed his hair with a cool expression. "Why wouldn't he, Yuno's cute face is more than we can imagine even her cute smile can melt a man's heart."

"Seriously?" Ace, Gajeel, and Sting retorted comically.

Lector had one more question. "Speaking of, where is Yuki's father now?"

Sting decided to answer that. "He started his community service at the shelter. It might take him years to pay for his debt." He looked a bit concerned. "Besides that, Yuki had a talk with his parents. Right now, the chances of his parents getting back together are quite slim to none."

Rogue looked down feeling somewhat unsure. "I'm sure that must've shattered Yuki's hope in some ways. I hope the guy isn't going to take it too hard."

That was a good point, considering the timid teenager left in a hurry back to his household, he'll need some encouragement. Sting put his hand under his chin and had an idea. "Guys, perhaps we can cheer him up with a boy's night out at his home."

Lector liked that idea. "Yeah, Yuki is our friend and he's so down at the moment, so, let's cheer him up."

"Shall we give Akise and Kosaka a call too?" Rogue asked.

"They're busy at the moment with the investigation on those corpses," Gajeel informed. "On top of that, he's looking into Yuno's parents' background." He had additionally thought but kept to himself. "Some for reason, I got a bad feeling about this."

Green figured that was the case. "Figures they were, I mean some things weren't adding up to the third corpse they found."

Sting and Rogue had their thoughts on the investigation as they were lost in it. "True, the third corpse is a mystery, and after smelling whatever scent was barely left..."

"The scent was faint, but, it smelled like Yuno like the one we know."

Ace took a deep breath shrugging his hands. "Ah, we can worry about that later, for now, let's see Yuki. Ms. Amano left a lot of money for us as a repayment for looking after her son. So, we can order pizzas and drinks!"

"Yuki's mother rocks!" Lector beamed as everyone looked at him strangely. "What?"

"Yeah!" They suddenly roared.

"That was fast," The red exceed said with a sweat drop.

At the holy hall

DEUS was having a chat with Muru Muru. "To think those wizards were able to accomplish so much in the past months. They save a lot of people during Ninth's bomb assault. They helped Keigo's son by curing him and getting him to apologize for his dying breath. Third, help Yuki get back on his feet after Yuno drugged him. Fourth, the wizards helped Yuki become strong and brave a little. Now, his parents are safe and sound, they're creating all kinds of miracles even though those things happen only once."

Muru Muru had other thoughts. "Damn it...those wizard asses are going to put a hole in the plan. Perhaps I should make things more interesting." She glanced at the God of Space and Time. "He'll be out of commission soon considering his state." She saw that the right side of his face was cracking. "So far, ninth, eleventh, first, second, sixth, and eighth are the only ones left. I guess I'll chat with the demons to create a new plan...once DEUS is asleep, I'll arrange a quick meeting."

Yukiteru was in his kitchen getting some apple juice. "Guess, it's quiet here once more without Yuno. I wonder if she's on her way to the sauna with the girls now."

Knock Knock

Yukiteru turned in the direction where the front door was. "Ugh...I bet she's here to check on me." He walked toward the door and expected to see Yuno, but, instead, he saw Sting and the other male Earthland wizards. "Hey, Yuki!"

The timid teenage boy was taken by surprise. "Sting, Rogue, Gajeel, everyone, what's going on?"

Sting smiled brightly. "We came here to have a party with you." Yukiteru was puzzled. "What for?"

Bonk

Ace's fist met with Yukiteru's head. "C'mon, you know what we mean, it's about what happened with your parents." Yukiteru opened his eyes while holding his head as he looked at the male wizards. "Well...I..."

Gajeel approached the teenage boy. "Look kid, it's alright, as long as they're alive, you still have a family. You consider yourself lucky that you still have parents."

Rogue had his to speak his piece. "They're right, plus, your mother is giving some thought still, but, in the meantime, let's party to forget about your troubles!"

"I want to party too!" Frosch beamed.

Lector grinned happily. "You heard that Yukiteru, right?"

Hibiki gave a smile. "Yes, a party will surely relieve that stress and pain that's troubling your heart."

Green chuckled slightly. "We also ordered about 9 pizzas using our own money and some that your mom left for us that included drinks. So get your party shoes on. We will need a lot of trash bags."

Yukiteru never felt so excited and happy. "They're right, my parents still could get back together, even if they don't I still know that they're alive and will be there for me." He nodded with a big smile. "Sure thing!" He ran off to find some trash bags. "The Survival Game is about to draw to a close plus the demons and that Machias will return to fight, so, I might as well enjoy this day before the battle resumes."

6:00 PM Spa LaQua

The place was a hot-spring complex that had indoor and open-air baths, and a low-temperature sauna.

Yuno arrived there, she approached the front desk and counter lady. "This way miss." She gestured to the girl's door changing room on the right. She got inside changing into her clothes. "Guess, they decided to leave me." After she was undressed wearing a towel over her body and walked outside to the outdoor bath. The lights were out for some reason, on edge she felt a sense of nervousness. "What is this?"

The lights came back on and there was Wendy and the rest of the female Earthland wizards greeting her with big and small smiles on their faces. "Surprise!"

Yuno was stunned as she saw all the female Earthland wizards.

Wendy, Carla, and Chelia were bashful of being naked. For Wendy, she felt left out due to her chest being flat. "Such a big bath."

"Yeah, it's good we get to relax after a hard battle and running around." Carla giggled with a big smile.

Chelia took off her towel. "What are we waiting for, let's get in!" Her boobs were exposed leaving Wendy to sulk on the floor. "Big boobs...mine aren't...no fair."

"This again..." Carla muttered with a sweat drop.

Kagura, Minerva, Jenny, and Leone were sitting on the inside of the hot water with her boobs pouncing on the surface. "Such a hot warmth!"

"It's so relaxing..."

"I bet Lucy, Erza, and Cana would like this."

"This is embarrassing being naked...but refreshing..."

Leone had a sneaky smile as she splashed the girl's shoulders with the hot water making her yelp. "Eek!" Leone chuckled. "C'mon lighten up."

Splash

Leone's head including her hair was drenched in water. "This is war now..." She started splashing the other woman back. Minerva and Jenny got caught in the crossfire, rather than water. "Hey, cut that out, you getting me wet!" They barked comically with shark teeth.

Chelsea and Akame were splashing each other while smiling. "Brings me back when we were on the mission to lure the Jaegers out."

"Sure does."

Levy was on the edge of the hot spring water, she had a waterproof bag and was reading a book about Lucy's novel with her feet in the hot water. "Good book."

Yuno was speechless as she had never seen such an atmosphere in her life. Suddenly a memory of the orphanage flashed before her eyes like a video album. "I was left at the orphanage as a newborn. I grew up and then..." Her adoptive parents came to her mind. "I was being adopted, I was so delighted. My parents were bankers and my reputation as doing my homework intrigued them. Though, they were kind and loving parents that gave me a home." Their smiles popped in her head. "I did great proving my skill as a straight A-student...but...when I broke curfew, I was locked up. I couldn't take the training my parents gave me so I locked them up to give them a taste of what I felt. I thought they'd realize their mistakes and go back to the loving parents they were once before."

Tears started to form in her eyes her adopted mother's angry voice echoed in her mind. "I curse the day you were born! I curse the day you were born! Why...why...didn't you change back...for me...why...I was meant to suffer..."

"Yuno...Yuno...Yuno..." Yukino's voice called snapping her out of her trance as she saw the others looking at her with very concerned looks.

"What's wrong...why are you crying?" Carla asked shocked.

Chelsea weren't expecting this. "Tears...what is making her so sad..."

Akame could see something was wrong. "She must be remembering a bad memory."

Wendy took the middle school girl's hands looking at her with great concern. "Yuno...what's wrong...tell us, why are you crying?" Yuno looked at the sky dragon slayer seeing small tears in her eyes.

Yuno's lips curled as she broke down in tears sobbing loudly placing her hands on her eyes. "Sob...sob...sob..."

"Maybe this hot spring wasn't a good idea..." Chelsea whispered to Akame, who thought otherwise. "No...I have a feeling her tears aren't from fear of water, it's from something horrible...a nightmare that she probably remembers."

Kagura walked over to her got on her knees and hugged the teenage girl. "It's alright, you're with friends now..." Yuno's sobbing calmed down a little. "Kagura..."

Minerva didn't know why, but she could tell something terrible was making her cry and it wasn't the hot spring sauna. "Yuno, I know this is a lot to ask, but, can you tell us what is making you cry like this?"

Yukino had to agree. "Yeah, you'll feel better, plus it might help us understand a little more about you and it could improve your relationship with Yukiteru."

Carla agreed a little but decided to say one thing. "Of course, you don't have to tell right away, just when you're ready."

Yuno was hesitant about her secret, if she told them about her parents, it could leak to the police's investigation which is the one that Akise mentioned to Yuki so she wasn't sure if she could tell them or not.

"Here blow your nose," Carla handed over a tissue which the other teenage girl did.

Yuno wiped her eyes with another tissue. "Sniff...sniff..." She never broke down like this, not even much when Yukiteru turned away from her and he couldn't trust her much after she drugged him. This breakdown she was having now was the hell she went through with her parents. "I never wanted to kill my parents...I just wanted them to realize how much they made me feel...until it was too late. My only reason for living was Yuki...the man I promised to go stargazing and marry when we got older...yet..." She looked at the female wizards looking at her with great concern. "Here am I... surrounded...by people...that call me their friend...I never had any...in my life...not even when my parents were around."

She felt a pair of hands on her shoulders glancing to see they belonged to Chelia. "Yuno, it's fine, you can tell us, what you have to say will not leave this room." She didn't know why but she felt a certain warmth coming from the sky god slayer and the other female wizards, the same she felt during the past months.

"I'll tell you about my parents and they were like..." Yuno replied sniffling as she began to explain her history, only a little about her parent's character and what she did for a living. When she revealed the part when she was locked up in a cage in the dark, the Earthland wizards were horrified that she locked up to teach them a lesson hoping they would come around and turn back to the parents they were once before. Only to find she snapped and killed them.

Yuno didn't know why she revealed that last part, she felt like crying. "Believe...me...I never meant to kill them. It happened so fast and I wanted them to see how much she hurt me I wasn't expecting them to turn their back on me completely. If you want to leave me then go...I won't expect you to stay here."

Most of the female wizards didn't know what to say until Yukino and Minerva looked at each other with a nod. "We went through the same pain..." The others including Yuno looked at the two Sabertooth wizards.

Yukino decided to start her backstory first. "Yuno, you don't know this, but, when I was a little girl in the village, I lived with my parents and my big sister. However, I was quite a clumsy girl that it got me into so much trouble..." She had a bitter look on her face. "My parents would always get angry with me and would say I was a bad luck charm of the village." Yuno was shocked to hear that. "However, I had a big sister who would stand up for me."

Sorano's words echoed in her mind. "Leave Yukino alone, it's not her fault!" A tender look was replaced on the second Celestial wizard's face. "My sister is so sweet and beautiful...honestly, I don't have many good memories of my pants. Then one day, a cult that worships the black wizard invaded our village killing my parents and taking away my sister." Yuno's eyes were filling with tears again. Yukino felt tears in her eyes fill her eyes. "Then about a year ago, I finally met my sister, who denied me because of the horrible sins she caused but she is willing to atone for them and I know I'll see her again."

Minerva's turn was next. "Yuno...as you know I'm a member of the Sabertooth like Sting, Rogue, Lector, Frosh, and Yukino. Back then about two years ago, the Sabertooth guild only cared about strength and winning. Plus, my father Jiemma Orland was the guildmaster before Sting took over. When I was a child, he would train me harshly and abuse me whenever I cried..."

The memories her father was coming to her in a flash including the horrible things he said to her. "How long will you shed those worthless tears?! Tears are the ultimate apex of weakness!"

The others looked at her with sympathy. "One time, my father had me train with a guild member, I was able to win but my father ordered me to kill him because the weak are like insects to him." She clenched her hands. "I refused and you can imagine how my father reacted to that so he left me in the dark forest where a bunch of wild beasts ambushed me but I managed to kill them all." She took a deep breath. "My point is, my father hated weakness, he would always treat every guild member as if they were foot soldiers instead of family and sadly I became just like him until Fairy Tail's faith and trust in each other opened my eyes."

Carla decided to speak her piece. "Listen child, killing someone is something we won't approve of. However, it seems that you were trying to survive." Yuno wasn't expecting to hear that.

Wendy had to agree as she crouched down in front of Yuno. "Listen, no child deserves to suffer like that not even you, Yuno Gasai. I mean I don't approve of you killing them, but, it looks like you tried to hope they would change even though it wasn't the right way. I can tell you regretted your decision."

Akame, Leone, and Chelsea could understand, it was like in their world, it would was kill or be killed whenever facing an enemy from the empire.

Chelsea felt somewhat bad for not trusting the teenage girl. "I guess I misjudged the girl."

Leone gritted her teeth. "Those asshole parents, how could they do this to Yuno?!"

Akame could understand when Gozuki put her through the same hell but he regretted his mistreatment despite how his loyalty to the empire was.

Levy felt bad for the teenage girl. "Poor Yuno, she was mistreated and abused by her parents because they were so strict and that caused her to snap. Killing them wasn't the answer, but, she didn't seem to have a choice. This world was just like Akame's." She began to think about the corpses again. "We know that two corpses were Yuno's parents, though, that only leaves the third corpse. Well, I suppose Yuno won't talk about it, so, I won't pressure her into getting that information out."

Yuno bowed her head. "I...I...I'm...so happy..." She cried again but with happiness. "But, how can I explain to Yuki...if he finds out what I did then, he'll leave me again and never stay by my side..."

"Not true..." Levy stood up as she walked toward the girl. "Yuki is a reasonable guy, I can tell I mean think about it, he was able to reason with you back at the tower and wanted to believe in you once more. I'm sure he would realize that he needs to support you and be by your side so you can have a normal life."

Chelia had her word to say. "Anyway, for tonight, let's forget our troubles, we should party while the night is still here." She held out her hand as the others joined in. "Yuno, we want to help you through this Survival Game, we know it won't be easy to help change this world. But, as long as we don't give up hope, we can do anything. So, what do you say?"

Yuno looked at each one of them smiling brightly, their smiles made her feel as warm and safe as Yuki did. "You guys..." She felt her heart melt. "Y-yes...I will..."

They continued their night at the hot spring bath, enjoying the night splashing and relaxing. They all took hot baths playfully washing each other's backs. For the first time, Yuno felt as happy as ever, she had friends, though, she knew it wouldn't last long due to the rules of the Survival Game, so, if Yuki and her became the last competitors in the game. They would have to fight each other to the death. She wondered how her new friends would react to that, though, she would have to wait until then. She then texted Yuki a message.

6:45 PM Amano's Household

The pizzas were delivered to the house. Some were cheese, pepperoni, bacon, meatballs, and veggies. The drinks that were served were water, booze, soda, and herbal tea.

Sting and Rogue were chowing on four slices of bacon pizza. "So yummy!"

"I never had food like this!"

Lector and Frosch were eating achiove pizza. "Hmm...not bad," Lector said. "Not raw, but, it's good."

Frosch was eating a slice. "I think so too."

Gajeel and Ace were playing the combat video game. "I'll win!"

"Fat chance, man!"

Lily was sitting on the floor meditating.

Green was reading a book while eating a pizza and booze. "I have to admit these books are cool. Nothing like in our world." Yukiter was getting another pizza when he heard his phone vibrate. He looked at the entry and saw the message from Yuno that read. "Yuki, I need to talk to you tomorrow about something. Do you know the Sakurami Temple, I'd like to meet you there tomorrow at noon." He was surprised to hear this kind of text from his stalker. "I have no plans, so, I suppose it won't hurt, though, my mom will be here tomorrow in the morning." Sting walked over to the Future Diary Holder. "C'mon, buddy, join us in a drinking contest!"

"I don't drink and I'm underage!" Yukiteru whined comically.

"He was just joking," Ace laughed while holding a mug of red wine and tossing a cola can. "Catch!"

"Geez, stop teasing me," Yuki pouted as he caught the can but smiled. "Anyway, thanks for cheering me up, I'm happy to have good and loyal friends."

Gajeel smirked. "C'mon, let's not get sentimental here, just enjoy and relax for the rest of this party." Yukiteru smiled. "Right, cheers!" He raised his soda can as he and the others raised their drinks.

At the Cathedral of Causality

Muru Muru was so conflicted and puzzled by the emotional scene she saw at the spa. "Those wizards are getting on Yuno's good side. How is that possible, Yuno is a psychopath and obsessed human girl who only cares about killing those who would harm Yuki! How were those wizards able to reach her?" She put her finger to her chin. "Perhaps, those do-gooders might be able to make this game more entertaining at least for me."

The next day

7:55 AM 7/7 Amano's Household

Yukiteru woke up earlier to have breakfast watching the news about the destruction of the SAKARUMI Tower. "On the latest news, the Sakurami Tower was destroyed and explosions were heard according to witnesses. The police suspect it was the work of the Minene Uyruu but she wasn't found yet."

Knock Knock

"Come in..." There came his mother. "Hello, son of mine." Yukiteru went over to hug his beloved mother. "Mother!"

"Oh, son..." Rea cooed with a sweet smile. "How was the party last night?" Yuki lifts his head smiling brightly. "It was great, I had a lot of fun."

Rea saw the joy and happiness in her son's eyes as tears fell down her cheeks. "Son...I've never seen you this happy before." She closed her eyes tears falling down her cheeks. "Honestly, I was worried about you last night. I know was a terrible mother for not being here for you due to my work. However, I never stopped loving you and your father didn't either. You will always be our little boy."

Yukiteru felt like crying again but he kept his composure. "I understand, but, you know I don't mind if you get back together or not, as long as we're still there for each other, that's all that matters." Rea was happy to hear that. "I'm glad to hear that. By the way, I talked to your father at the shelter, he's doing great so far. if this keeps up, he'll be able to keep working to pay his debt."

Yukiteru chuckled softly. "Anyway, Mom, there is something I want you and Dad to do for me so listen carefully."

8:10 AM Sakurami Police Station

Akise and Tsubaki having a conversation in the interrogation room.

"Tsubaki, did you get those reports from the lab?" Akise asked.

"Only that it would take a few days to confirm," Tsubaki replied. "However, I found some juicy details regarding eleventh from Yuki's father."

Akise looked at the papers the sixth handed him. "Hmm...I admit this is quite helpful. I'll send this to Yuki and some of the others to look into." He smiled at the girl. "I have to admit your investigation skills are quite impressive." Instead of answering Tsubaki got out of her chair and walked around the table until she was in front of him. Before Akise could get a word in, she instantly kissed him on the lips taking him by surprise, and pulled back. "You know to make a girl embarrassed." She said with a cute smile. Akise was speechless for a second. "I don't think I can solve that." Suddenly he felt something in his head like hidden memories flashed before his mind. "What are these memories...what is going on?"

"Akise...what is wrong?" Tsubaki asked looking at him oddly.

The detective smiled a little. "It's nothing...anyway, are Hibiki, and Jenny here?" Tsubaki nodded her head. "Yes, they're in the main room doing some research. Sting and some of the others are at their rental apartment taking a break while three wizards are in the city taking a small tour."

"One more thing, how is Yuki doing?" Akise asked curiously.

"Last I heard he's doing fine and Yuno, the two have gotten closer," Tsubaki replied while looking at a sheet of paper. Akise narrowed his eyes. "I see...anyway, stand by and give me a call on those labs. Also, give the address of the orphanage where Yuno was raised at."

Tsubaki looked at the detective teenager with a puzzled look. "Why, do you have an idea?" Akise chuckled a little. "I believe I do."

In the area of the destroyed SAKRURAMI Tower

Minene was there seeing the giant pile of rubble. "Damn, this place is going to need a serious cleaning up. A massive cleaning crew would be needed."

"Minene!" The terrorist turned around to see Wendy, Chelia, and Carla running toward her. "It's the three pipsqueaks."

"Who are you calling pipsqueak!?" Carla retorted with shark teeth as her tail shook like a rattlesnake's tail.

"Never mind her," Wendy assured. "Anyway, nice to see you're doing well." Minene scoffed at the sky dragon slayer. "Honestly, do you have to be so nice?"

Chelia ignored the woman's question. "We were just in the city and Wendy smelled your scent so we figured we stop to talk."

"Did you know not to hear me?" Minene asked with an annoyed look.

"Speaking of, where are Hinata, Kosaka, and Mao?" Wendy asked.

"Those guys, they're doing fine, Mao and Hinata just got discharged this morning," Minene replied with a smirk. "So, for the next few days, I'll be training their ass off. No doubt, eleventh will be making his move since the world is about to come crumbling down." Her last words were muttered but Wendy overheard them due to her strong sense of hearing.

Carla placed her hands on her hips. "I suggest you watch your language around these girls." Minene gave the cat girl a dirty look. "Don't give me that look!"

Chelia had an idea. "Minene, how about we take you to breakfast, just to hang out for fun."

Minene was a little surprised. "Why, I'm a terrorist, we people don't get along."

Chelia shook her head with a smile. "Akame, Chelsesa, and Leone are assassins you know." Minene was shocked to hear those details. "Assassins...here..." Wendy decided to intervene. "Don't worry, Akame, Leone, and Chelsea aren't assassins anymore, but, they still have their skills as assassins." She grabbed hold of the Holder's wrist. "So, come, Ms. Minene let's get going, please." She almost begged which irritated the bomb woman so she refused. "Fine, no need to beg."

Yuno was at her household getting dressed. She was looking at a photo that had her with the female wizards and saw her smiling with them. "..." She smiled at the photo and felt like crying. "I have...friends..." Just then her cell phone vibrated and looked at the entry expecting to see Yuki texting her until she realized it wasn't from him or the others. "This is Chief Nishijima, I would like to have a word with you at the Library of Yumisato Middle School, please." The girl frowned but this time she couldn't run away if she did the police would be searching for her again. She wondered if Akise was part of this and was feeling her mind going to explode until images of her friends and Yuki flashed into her mind. She texted back and agreed to him.

9:00 AM

Yuki was having a chat with DEUS in the Cathedral of Casualty

"DEUS, is possible you can keep my parents safe here until this war is over?" Yuki asked.

DEUS looked at the first holder. "Sorry, but, only Holders are allowed in here. On top of that, my time is coming, without a successor this will cease to exist. I suggest your parents should get out of the city."

"I had a feeling you'd say that, but, I already did." Yuki felt scared leaving them alone. "But, as long as I know they're safe that's all that matters." Good thing, he gave a quick call to Nishjima and Akise, who agreed to have some officers escort them out of the city. The two officers agreed to have some troops evacuate the city since the final battle would begin in a few days or so.

Muru Muru didn't say a word. "So, the little brat has grown a bit. I can tell he's got a lot to learn, so, for now. We will wait." She glanced at the crumbling machina god. "DEUS's time is coming, no matter what, once he croaks the power will be mine to control.

In the unknown realm

The demons and the Machias were having a meeting about their final phase for the final battle.

"So, only six holders left," Jackal smirked evilly.

Brron was sitting on a throne-like chair. "Yes, no doubt, Fairy Tail and their friends will interfere with our plans to absorb more life energy from the remaining live ones."

Andrew was silent as he sat down with his arms crossed. "..."

Rugoro was eager to fight. "I couldn't care less, I want to get my hands on those Fairy scumbags and get the information on who killed Master Ezel!"

Torafuzar let out a grunt. "Doesn't matter now, what targets should we go after, mad king?"

Brron let out an evil chuckle. "I have made arrangements on that. Also, Muru Muru will keep us updated on which of those Holder bastards will form an alliance with and their location to have their final battle. Until then you're all dismissed for now."

9:30 the gymnasium

Hinata, Kosaka, and Mao were doing some routines that Yuki and his father did.

"Gee, this is crap," Kosaka complained.

Hinata has the arrogant teenage a stern look. "C'mon, don't be so pouty. we're going to be part of this final battle. Not to mention that Yuki is too."

Mao felt somewhat jealous that Hinata mentioned the timid boy's name. "Either way, don't forget he got back to Yuno."

Kosaka cringed like something made his spine chill. "Geez, that idiot has gotten back together with her, what is he thinking?"

Hinata sat down on a chair. "Honestly, I guess things worked out."

Kosaka just scoffed. "C'mon, the crazy chick drugged that blumbering idiot, remember."

"Wow, you seem to care about Yuki," Hinata joked a bit.

Kosaka turned his head away rolling his eyes. "No, I just wonder if that idiot is doing the right thing. An earlier Akise asked about if he was still hanging out with Yuno despite his warning not to hang around her."

Mao hated to admit but she had to agree. "Yeah, I mean Akise is still investigating that third corpse and he's trying to look for other sources too that could give more evidence."

"So, what now?" Kosaka questioned.

Hinata was indeed worried about Yuki as well as the wizards from Earthland. "Well, we can only hope that things will go smoothly. Though, that might change once the Holders make their move to kill each other."

"Guys!" The three middle school teenagers saw Yukino, Jenny, Hibiki, Ace, and Kagura coming their way.

Hinata ran over to them greeting the wizards. "You guys, glad that you could stop by!"

Mao dashed over to the group but grabbed Yukino's breasts groping her as she had a dreamy expression. "Ohhhh!" She cooed.

Yukino was blushing furiously completely speechless.

Bonk

Hinata's fists whacked the lesbian teenager on the head. "Ow..." Yukino backed away a little weirded out as Hinata looked at her with an apologetic look. "Sorry about that, she can't control herself."

Ace cleared his throat. "Ahem, anyway, how is going with your training?"

Kosaka grinned. "Well, I ain't bragging, but, I gained some muscles during the past days."

Jenny observed him. "You look the same, but, it hasn't been too long." Hearing that made Kosaka almost face fault. "However, if you keep your training you might look a bit bulkier." She smiled making the teenager blush as he was about to say something until he felt a certain disturbing presence. Hibiki was glaring at him with glowing red eyes. "Careful buddy, she's my woman." The teenage boy felt sweat dripping down his forehead. "Aye..."

"Great, he sounds like Happy," Ace thought with a sweat drop but chuckled.

10:00 AM Libary of Unisato Middle School

Nishijima was there having a secret conversation with Yuno. "This is about the three corpses we dug up from your residence. From what Akise tells me those two are your parents...though, who is the third corpse, did you have a sister or brother?" Yuno looked away like the question made her feel uneasy. She walked away without saying a word, unexpectedly the officer didn't stop her, though, he didn't want to take the risk of her killing him. "Gasai...once the start of the DNA testing, you won't be able to run away or hide the truth."

Yuna exited the room leaving the inspector alone. He began to wonder about other thoughts. "Fairy Tail...I wonder if bonding with her was a good thing."

Nishjima and Akise were having a conversation earlier in the morning in Nishijima's car. "Did the receptionist overhear anything?" Akise asked.

"She overheard that Yuno confessed something surprising. Her parents would abuse her and lock her in a cage." Nishijima felt a little disturbed by the details. "Honestly, I didn't know she was suffering. Also, Yukino and Minerva shared their traumatic past of their parents."

Akise put his hand under his chin. "Either way, Yuki mustn't know of this." The inspector was surprised to hear that. "Wait, why not?"

"Even if Yuno's parents were abusive, that doesn't explain about the third corpse. She could still be dangerous to Yuki and I would be damned if I'd let her spill Yuki's blood." Akise replied with a serious expression.

Nishjima agreed a little but, he had more details to share. "Fairy Tail does trust Yuno, though." Akise had a darkened expression on his face which gave the inspector a chill. "Very well, I'll try to keep this between us."

"Fairy Tail...I hope you guys know what you're getting yourselves into." Nishijima thought hopefully. "Yuki, I wonder if it's worth being with her."

10:25 AM A Certain Terrance Cafe in Sakuramishi

Minene, Chelia, Wendy, and Carla were having small cheese sandwiches. Minene was having hot coffee while the girls drank some milk and orange juice.

"The food is tasty!" Wendy beamed while talking with the food in her mouth.

Carla cringed. "Child, don't talk food in your mouth!"

Chelia giggled. "That's love for food."

Minene scoffed. "That doesn't make any sense," She took a sip of her coffee as she saw the three wizards enjoying themselves. She smiled a little. "Heheheheh...those wizards know how to have a good time during a crisis." She realized what she just thought. "Wait, what am I thinking?" She then had a question for the girls, especially Wendy. "Excuse me, you, Wendy Marvel, I have a question." The sky dragon slayer and the other two girls looked at the terrorist lady. "Why did you help Fourth out?"

Wendy was puzzled at first until Chelia spoke. "You mean Keigo Kurusu, right?" Minene nodded. "Yes, he betrayed you and not only that, he was willing to sacrifice his son and wife to become God. What kind of reason would you need to help that bastard?"

Carla didn't like the woman's tone, but, Wendy put her arm out before her friend could get a word out. "First off, remember what you said when you introduced Ms. Kurusu and his son to Yuki and Yuno?" Minene narrowed her eyes. "Yes, I do, he was willing to betray his friends and leave you and those wizards out of the mission considering you weren't actual competitors in the Survival Game."

"Yet, you guys helped him, even if he might not have backed off. Imagine if he continued to hunt you and the others down." Minene continued.

"Carla sighed deeply before looking at the terrorist woman. "Look, I admit that was quite risky. Though, no child deserves to be sick like Keigo's son was." She had a serious look on her face. "That said, Wendy is the kind of person that helps people regardless. I admit I was against the idea a little, but, when it comes to helping someone in need, Wendy's too stubborn to listen."

"Yeah, that's the love she has," Chelia added.

Wendy decided to speak her piece again. "Ms Minene..." The odd nickname made the terrorist twitch slightly. "I know what Keigo tried to do, but, he did because he wanted to help his son. Don't get me wrong, Yuki must've been hurt when he was betrayed by him but once you showed Keigo's actions, he understood Keigo's reason."

Minene took one sip from her cup. "So, you did it out of pity or something?" Surprisingly she saw the young girl shake her head. "No, I did it because when it comes to the bond between a child and parent. I have a soft spot for that."

Chelia had to agree. "She's right, Keigo loves his son and thought he was doing the right thing. But, he wasn't and later felt remorse for his actions. Ms. Kurusu is around and her son is alive now, honestly..." She looked down with a sad smile. "I'm a little jealous, my mother is gone..." Chelia could see the sky dragon slayer wanted to cry placing her hand on the girl's shoulder in comfort. Minene saw an image of her as a child crying before her dead parents. "Why...am I thinking about this?" She shook the thought off. "Anyway, I can see your kindness is going to be the end of you." The three girls looked at the Future Diary Holder. "I did say that chivalry should be used on the living, but, sometimes, kind people might have a side to them that could be dark."

Carla had to admit there were times when Fairy Tail had to their heads sometimes. "That may be true, but, sometimes, people do some stupid things probably because of fear, desperation, and ignorance." She had her arms crossed. "However, we won't hold a grudge against Keigo. In the end, he was just a worried parent who wanted his son to live somehow. Now, his son is healthy and living on with his mother."

Nishijima was walking to the cafe to see Wendy and the others talking to her. "Hmm...looks like they're having a snack." He noticed Minene was acting a bit odd. "Minene...what is she-" He didn't know

Minene went silent as her eyes were covered by her hair. "These guys are too soft...yet...they remind me of my parents..." Her parent's smiles came to her mind and the warmth that she felt when she was embraced by them. "Mother...father..." Her tough girl persona was beginning to shatter as a certain pain was coming back. Quickly snapping out of her thoughts. She abruptly stood up startling the three girls. "I...I have to go, I'll talk to you three later." Without bothering to look at the three she ran off keeping her head down and ran past the inspector who caught of glimpse of her shedding a tear.

"Is she okay?" Wendy asked worriedly.

"If I have to guess, the wall around her heart is starting to crack," Chelia presumed with a smile. "Just like Yuno..."

Carla thought that could be possible. "We'll have to wait and see..."

Minene was hiding in an alleyway leaning against a wall panting. "Damn...it...why did those kids get me like this?" She brushed a tear looking it on her finger. "Damn...damn...why am I thinking about my past?" She sat down faintly sobbing in her legs. "Sob...sob...sob..." She quickly put her emotions away wiping her eyes. "I won't let this shake my composure, I will become a God."

Gajeel, Lily, and Levy were walking down the sidewalk. "Man, about time we got a little break before the battle starts."

"True, but, don't forget, we'll be escorting the citizens out of the city once the battle begins." Lily reminded. "According to the order from Akise and the inspector, they want some of us to help evacuate the city while having some stay behind in case the demons attack."

Levy had a thought to share on that last battle. "Agreed, not to mention the rest of the Holders will make their move including eleventh." The other two looked at her with a slow nod. "Plus, what will happen if a winner isn't announced or decided? What will happen to this world?"

Gajeel scoffed. "We can't worry about that. For now, we concentrate on stopping Tartaros from doing whatever they're planning. Though, I wish we knew what they were planning." Lily looked down at the ground. "Agreed, we know they're stealing Holder's life energy, but what good will that do for them?

10:55 AM Fairy Tail's rental apartment

Sting, Rogue, Lector, and Frosch were in their room checking their magic potions that would recharge their magic power.

Sting countered the remaining bottles. "Looks like we got about ten of these left."

Rogue put his fingers on his chin. "Yeah, it's still enough, and we haven't used much of our magic power in the past months."

"Yeah, it felt kind of nice relying on items that weren't made of magic," Lector commented. "Our world relies on magic, though, I heard Edolas has no magic like this world and others our other friends are from. They were able to survive."

Akame was taking a shower seemingly lost in thought as the water drops drenched her entire body. "The world...this one has more darkness just as mine." After what she learned from Yuno, it seems this world has made people more corrupted than she realized. "Poor kids are being abandoned by their parents leaving them scarred for life and unable to trust again let alone to continue living. "Yuki was the one that kept her going for all this time. I guess it takes for one person to give you a reason to live." An image of Green flashed in her mind as well as her Fairy Tail family and those still back in her world. "Najenda, Susanno, Tatsumi, Mine, Lubbock, Kurome, Wave, and Bols...my friends and I will surely win this war."

Green was reading a book taking in what had happened in the past months. "This war is about to come to its close. I wonder what I should do once it calms down a little." Akame's image popped into his mind. "Akame..." He thought with a tender look remembering her smile including her armpits. His face became red. "Perhaps, I should give her something special...food, no...guess I'll have to think of something."

Yukiteru was taking a walk down the street. He was looking at a text he got. "Akise has gotten some information from my dad about the eleventh. I admit he's smart, but, why would he send this information to me?" He began to wonder if he wanted to find out the identity of eleventh himself. "If so, why, well, I guess I'd better but I'll need some help. The others are busy, so, I guess that leaves Yuno." He had one thought about that in the back of his mind. "I wonder what she wants to discuss with me, is it about this text that Akise sent me? I guess I'll have to meet her and see."

11:20 AM Sakurami Temple

Yukiter was looking around. "Brings me back, back then the shrine didn't have this on the top. That was when Dad, Mom, and I came here when I was a child." He secretly hoped that things would improve for his mom and dad's relationship. He clapped his cheeks the moment that thought crossed his mind. "Snap out of it, I can't have that thought, I mean it's not clear if they will get back together. I need to remember that as long as they're alive and doing well, that's more than enough for me."

"Yuki..." The timid teenager jumped a little and saw Yuno behind him. "Yuno!"

"Sorry, did I startle you?" Yuno asked innocently.

Yuki recollected himself. "Just a little, I was expecting you to show up, but not too soon." He chuckled awkwardly rubbing the back of his head with his left hand. "Anyway, how are you doing today, and was your night with the girls great?"

Yuno was speechless for a second until a cute smile took shape on her face. "Yes, I had a good time. I never had so much fun in my life." She had a sad smile on her face. "Yuki, you're probably wondering about my parents, right?" Yuki had a questionable look on his face. "You see, my parents are bankers and they weren't my biological parents."

Yukiteru looked at his stalker with a surprised look. "So, you're adopted, I see...go on..." Yuno lowered her head in shame which was unlike her. "My parents would always be kind to me during those years when I was a child...one day, our money became strained which affected my parents..." Her lips began to curl up. "My mother was the most affected because she wanted me to become the perfect citizen." Yuki's eyes widened as tears rolled down his stalker's cheeks. "This led to my mother locking me in a cage leaving me barely to eat and I was forced to eat inedible materials..."

Yukiteru couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Wait, those two corpses were her parents..." Yuno continued. "What was worse, despite my father's objective against my mother's severe treatment he didn't do anything to help me. One day, I snapped and got them locked inside the cage..." She fell on her knees sobbing loudly covering her eyes. "I never wanted to kill them, I just wanted them to understand the pain I felt...but before I realized it they died of starvation." She bowed her head down. "Yukiteru Amano, I'm not expecting you to believe me not wanting to kill my parents since you know how crazy I am. But, you can see how cautious I was against your dad. Though, thanks to Fairy Tail and the others your father realized his mistake." Yuki couldn't believe he was hearing such words from Yuno, the crazy stalker that has been watching him like a hawk. Though, he never thought that Yuno was suffering at home then again he never asked about what her parents were like. He never did try to interact with her even when she had a conversation about the survey he was doing.

"Yukiteru...I won't blame you if you don't trust me now," Yuno stood up and began to run away. Until she felt a hand grab hers. "Wait!" She turned her head to see Yukiteru have his face lowered. "Yuno, I don't approve of you killing your parents, however, I didn't know about how much you were suffering. I guess that explains why you didn't like my father regardless that you didn't like what he was working one of the Holders." He walked over to her and hugged her. "Yuno...I wished I'd known you were suffering then I could've helped you perhaps I might've been able to help your parents see the error of their ways. I'm sorry." Yuno felt her heart melt like it did as more tears rolled down her cheeks.

Yukiteru pulled away a little as he put his hand under Yuno's chin. "Yuno...I promise I will understand you more...our friends will make sure that this world will be one where our friends can live in peace." He kissed her on the lips with his eyes closed. Yuno's eyes widened with surprise as she blushed pink. 'Yukiteru...Amano..."

Leone was behind the shrine with her arms crossed as a faint smile was seen on her face. "Well done, you two." Minerva was behind a tree smiling proudly at the two with a soft giggle. They left without getting noticed by the two young teenage couple.

"By the way, Akise sent me a message about some information on eleventh." Yuki showed his Diary's entry.

Yuno was surprised. "Plus, my father gave him this information." He almost forgot to tell her something important. "Also, I told my parents to evacuate the city since the final battle will be coming." For once, Yuno agreed and smiled. "In that case, let's see what the eleventh holder's identity is."

Yuno's heart was melted by the kindness of the female earthland wizards and Yukiteru got to party with his family. Yuno reveals her history with her adoptive parents to Yuki, who realizes how much the girl has suffered and why she was distrustful toward Yuki's father. Yuki reveals the message he got from Akise regarding the eleventh holder's identity.

The question is, will they find out the identity and will Yuno's psychotic side be controlled or will she snap again? when will the demons attack again, find out next time.

P.S. Those that have read and watched the manga/anime series of Future Diary, probably know that Yuno is distrustful due to the past events of the first survival game and her parent's abusive treatment(mostly her mother).

The fact that she's trusting Fairy Tail and her friends is quite unexpected, though, Fairy Tail and their friends have such nice hearts and showed some sympathy toward those had tragic pasts. Anyway, don't judge my choice. As for who will survive and die later in the chapters, that's my secret.

End of chapter.
