Sonic's "brilliant" idea was as follows.
They would take a picture of Sonic on Tails' phone and print it out. BUT they would print it out in black and white as opposed to color. Sonic would thus look more or less like Shadow.
Sonic was very proud of himself for having come up with this scheme. Tails was impressed.
So the next morning, the pair went to the office supply store to print out the new wanted posters. They imported the picture they took of Sonuc and even edited it using Microsoft Paint. So it looked slightly more professional than their first round of wanted posters. But only slightly.
Then, when they went to put up these posters, of which they printed 100 this time around, something strange happened.
"Uh… Sonic?" said Tails, pointing to a telephone pole, "I thought the plan was to print out the posters in black and white?" I know you're fast enough that I never saw you put this one up, but… and why am I in the picture with you?"
"Tails, that wasn't me who put that poster up," said Sonic.
"So, you're meaning to tell me… we're outlaws in Puerto Rico?" said Tails.
"Beats me," said Sonic, shrugging his shoulders.
Sure enough. The wanted poster on the telephone pole said "SE BUSCA" and had a close-up, slightly grainy photograph of Sonic and Tails from when they first arrived on the island. There was also various Spanish text on the poster that neither Sonic nor Tails could understand.
And just then, from out of nowhere, they were hit with tranquilizer darts in the throat. You know, like from Indiana Jones. They blacked out. A mysterious stranger than dragged them over to a suspicious-looking van and drove away.
