(Chapter 8: Time for an Overhaul: Part 2)
The month of June would soon come and with it, did Izuku's continued tearing through the Shie Hassakai like a psionically powered meatgrinder; that had soon reached out to and begun to employ the aid of the Vigilante's and others of that sort to aid him in his crusade against Overhaul. Seeing it as nothing but simple logic to employ the aid of others who more than likely wanted the same thing as he did, to stop villains and criminals from running rampant and to protect others in the best way he began to know how to do…peace through superior firepower.
(June 8th, 998. M41, Zenthon, Nagasaki, Japan, 9:33 Pm)
It would be late into the summer night as Izuku was currently was with one of the vigilantes who had answered his call who went by the codename of Jotunn; came to assist him in destroying the last of Shie Hassakai's warehouses in the city of Nagasaki.
"Thanks again for helping me out, it is honestly really appreciated." Izuku said to a white-haired, blue-eyed individual in their late 30's to early 40's who was dressed in armored apparel similar to a Viking berserker
"No problem at all lad, besides I'm just glad that someone is takin' the fight to these bastards." Jotunn said with a grin full of teeth like sharpened icebergs "So how're we doin' this?" Jotunn questioned
"Shock and awe, we hit them as hard as possible and no matter what happens we do not let up. They cannot be allowed to leave here no matter what." Izuku answered back determined to make sure that any member of the Shie Hassakai would leave only in a body bag for their crimes
"That's what I like to hear, let's get this party started!" Jotunn exclaimed as they stamped their feet as frigid winds erupted from their form all the while ice and permafrost began to cover their body
With said vigilante turning into his namesake as he became an 18 foot tall blue-skinned giant, bright frigid crimson red eyes, his mane of shoulder-length white hair extending to his mid-back in a cascade of razor-like icicles, as his musculature was now much moreso akin to a hulking titan of muscle and frigid might. All the while his attire that had grown along with him was covered in plates of ice and permafrost all across his body that lended further to him looking like the Nordic giants of frost and death of old, as he let out a mighty bellow as a 20 foot tall and 180 foot wide wall of ice encircled the area making it so nothing or no one would escape.
All the while Izuku would fly into the middle of the warehouse that's inhabitants were wondering what the hell was going on, as Jotunn with a mighty bound came crashing into the area as he roared once more and began stamping and slamming into anything in sight with fists covered in sharpened chunks of ice; that ploughed through everything in sight like condensed icebergs. Wherever the massive minivan-sized fists landed did blocks of gnarled ice with erupt from ground with each strike landed, and each harsh stomp made by Jotunn everything in a 20 radius around him erupt into jagged and spiraling spikes of frigid ice and snow, impaling any caught in its grasp.
Meanwhile, Izuku crashed into the the warehouse itself, the green-haired Psyker covered in psychic lightning and dense Warp energy that made him look more like a cannonball of pure destructive might; that upon colliding with the building itself. That roughly 2/3rds of the large building was utterly eviscerated in a raucous explosion that annihilated anything caught upon its radius causing shockwaves of otherworldly might to erupt from the epicenter of sudden attack.
From there Izuku began flying, running and dashing throughout the wreckage of what was once a great munitions and arms production warehouse for the Shie Hassakai; turned distorted and almost cartoonishly warped and electrified ruins. The green-haired Psyker rushing through the area as a green and dark silver clad blur of pure aggression, who made sure that each and every punch, knee, and elbow landed with nothing but lethal intentions, as he left nothing to chance against any of the opposition in question.
As such the duo begins to run roughshod against the Yakuza in their line of sight, be it Quirk user or not they were met with a swift obliteration on either end; given that between Jotunn's immense strength and cryokinesis causing either mass devastation in the form of either massive fists destroying everything in sight, or tremors that erupted with gnarled pillars of frost and snow. In addition, to Izuku speeding about the battlefield in any manner possible with strikes of inhuman strength that punched through their bodies like wet tissue paper, or scorching them outright with streams of Warp fire so intense that it made the air itself scream bloody murder from the intense heat.
The sight made all the more of a meatgrinder given that any potential method of escape was locked down by the multiple walls of ice constructed and raised by Jotunn's brute-force cryokinesis, or Izuku intercepting their vehicles with his telekinesis and flinging them into the pavement with such force they crunched inwards like a beer can being ran over by a steamroller. With Izuku making sure that their weapons were rendered null and void by using his abilities over warp fire to melt their firearms before they could fire, or crush them outright into scrap with his raw psionic might.
The green-haired Psyker having also made it his personal mission to hard target any Qurik users in the vicinity, having ploughed into them like a freight-train on PCP via a Detroit or Colorado Smash, that turned them into a bloody mist on impact, before flying to the next one to fry them with a miniature storm of psychic lightning until they were ash. All the while anyone in range of Jotunn as he stomped and sashed his way through the gangsters were either flattened on impact due to his large size already amplifying his inhuman strength, or his strikes sending out spikes and pillars of frigid ice that both freeze them to the marrow or crush them into a frigid slush.
Therein it was a brutal affair that turned the area into absolute nightmare that was covered in ice, brilliant green flams, the electrified and blackened corpses of those killed by Izuku, that hadn't been turned into a bloody pulp. As well as Jotunn leaving in his wake crushed and splattered remains of Yakuza gangsters who had been punched and stomped into what could be called 'flesh pancakes' for a lack of a better term, and those who weren't turned into a bloody mess were frozen into slush, or encased in ice as they were partially crushed into pavement.
"Again, thank you for your help Jotunn. Your Quirk is incredible, I'm surprised that you aren't a Pro-Hero already." Izuku said as the viking like Quirk user shrank down as his ice-like armor flaked off of him
"Thanks, but Giant's Blood isn't really the best for being a superhero. It is better suited to destroy and crush my enemies into the ground as a colossus of war...Something that I have grown perfectly happy with. Fighting is in my blood no matter which way I go about it." Jotunn replied once he fully returned to his normal size
"No, the fields of battle gainst crime and villainy are where I'm best suited. I would rather be out there fighting where I can show my strength being unrestrained by being a fancy-pants Hero in spandex. I like being a warrior who fights against villains and evil, its as plain and simple as that." Jotunn further spoke in knowing that his warrior mentality was better suited towards being a vigilante than a Pro-Hero
"Fair enough, not everyone can walk the path of being a Hero. That being said, I am glad that you came to assist me tonight against the Shie Hassakai." Izuku thanked the wielder of the giant Quirk "
Of course, I would be a poor warrior to not fight alongside someone who seeks to battle against evil! Especially someone who has a great warrior spirit and wants to channel that towards crushing evil; wherever it may lie. The ancestors would think poorly of me if I did not lend a hand." Jotunn said slapping Izuku on the back who nearly fell over
"I appreciate it all the same, Mr. Jotunn. Anyways, I gotta get back to Tokyo. Evil may not rest, but I have too and it is a long flight back even if I can fly at the speed of sound." Izuku said back with a sheepish chuckle
"Aye, well good luck and good night to you, Midoirya. You are a fine warrior and if you ever need the assistance of the great Jotunn, I am a message away." Jotunn told Izuku who nodded before launching himself and away into the night to fly back to Tokyo
'Its a good thing I listened to Mr. Twice about getting the vigilantes who follow me to help out. Especially, with setting up the Discord server to make this a lot easier…Now all I have to do is make sure I can keep coordinating with everyone to take down everyone involved with this Shie Hassakai, and I can add taking down a criminal organization to my U.A transcript.' Izuku remarked to himself as he continued to take flight through the summer night
(3 days later, June 11th, Baal, Arx Angelicum, 2:10 Pm, 998. M41)
Meanwhile, Dante was being met with by Mephiston who had informed him of another new development with their Primarch; that being that even in his unconscious state was he beginning to manifest further psychic powers.
"Not only is Lord Sanguinius's revival quickening by the day, but he has also begun displaying new powers?" Dante asked in order to make sure that he was hearing this correctly
"Yes, as one of those standing guard had found personally. When as of last week he had manifested the ability to generate torrents of blood and psychic fire, and as a result put one of said guards into the medical ward…Luckily he will recover in time, but he has sustained a large number of burns across his body that are being treated." Mephiston informed the Chapter Master of the Blood Angels
"This is both surprising and good news to hear. Especially given the nature of our genesire having never displayed an affinity for offensive psychic powers." Dante said in seeing this as both good and slightly worrisome on either side
"Has he developed any other psychic abilities in the time since his recovery?" Dante further questioned
"No, although one other development that has been surprising to see…Well, I think that it is better that you see for yourself." Mephiston answered back as he gestured to have him follow to Sanguinius's room
"This had better be worthwhile to see, Mephiston. Otherwise, I am going too…are…are those a second pair of wings, and are they red?" Dante asked in surprise of seeing a 2nd albeit slightly smaller pair of blood-red angel wings appearing out of their Primarch's back
"They are, Dante. Apparently, they are part of his revival and his newly forming psychic powers." Mephiston informed the elder between them
"How did we miss this? I would have thought that Corbulo or one of the apothecaries stationed would have caught sight of this?" Dante wondered looking at the secondary pair of blood-red wings "I had asked Corbulo the same thing. Much to our and Corbulo's surprise when he found them and begun his tests on our Primarch as per normal, these had begun growing a month after we had found Lord Sanguinius. While small and insignificant at first, the faster he has begun to revolver and heal; the faster they began to appear…By the time, we had noticed them growing they had become too durable and too interconnected to Lord Sanguinius to remove them. At least not without causing permanent damage to him." Mephiston answered back "
...At the very least, it is nothing harmful to him, at least not at the current moment. However, the fact that they are blood-red wings is an odd sight to see." Dante spoke finding it strange that in contrast to his stark white ones that these were a violent blood red
"Perhaps, it is to coincide with our father's revival. After all, in these trying times, we may need the Great Angel to return to us as something more, something different than what he once was." Mephiston replied his golden eyes staring at his Primarch
"You and I both know that in the 41st Millienium; that we are in dire need of a unifying force. A force that can stand against what our treacherous brethren who have embraced chaos have become, a force that can stand resilient against the evils of the Xenos. As such, what our genesire comes back as, may be different in its totality, but it may be all the same what is needed to triumph over these dark and wearisome days…Days that grow bleaker by the moment it seems." Mephiston further spoke knowing that in whatever fashion Sanguinius changed in once he fully awoke that it would be needed
"But what if he comes back as something darkened and foul?...While I am and would be joyous to see the return of our Primarch and have him guide us through these bleak and blackened days. A part of me would not be without truth in telling you that I do worry for what he may come back as. Especially, when I must tell him of what has become of the Imperium and the God Emperor, since his apparent death…throne-damnit is this becoming more and more troublesome." Dante wondered with a sigh as he once more felt the seemingly endless years weigh upon him
"Whatever form he may return as, I know that he will still be the great man we have heard tales of during our respective years as Neophytes. Next to the arch-traitor he was and still is the greatest of the God-Emperor's sons…Therefore, I hold hope that regardless of any physical or psychic changes that may come of him; that he will remain a good man." Mephiston said "How is it possible that you are able to hold so much hope, brother? In spite of everything that has happened, you remain as one of our most hope-filled battle brothers." Dante questioned in finding the Chief Librarians steadfast optimism to be both refreshing and almost inspiring
"Because, I have lived through and overcome the Black Rage itself, and become all the stronger for it. As such after having to endure something that overwhelming and nigh-insurmountable. After all, when you can survive that and fighting on that nightmare world of Armageddon. Having hope in even the bleakest of hours becomes a pre-requisite to survive." Mephiston answered with a grim smile
"How you survived that hellhole, and overcome the dreaded curse of our Legion on top of that, I will never know." Dante said
"It is one of the many secrets, that I hold close to my chest, since that day. Yet I know this one important thing, Dante, and it is that our genesire holds that same indomitable spirit; that allowed me to conquer our Legion's accursed rage. An indomitable spirit that regardless of what changes may happen, he will be the hope that both the 9th Legion and the greater Imperium will know once more. That much I am sure of, brother." Mephiston replied his grim smile never wavering for even a moment
"Given the strength of what you are, I cannot hold doubt nor see falter in your words. It is often times like these, that I am glad to have your counsel." Dante said back glad to have the Chief Librarian as an uplifting source of hope and someone he could genuinely call his friend
"But of course, for we are all that we have as the galaxy sinks further into madness. I would be a poor brother and comrade-in-arms, if I did not lend my own wisdom and strength to others. Especially, when they shoulder a burden as heavy as yours, Dante." Mephiston spoke giving the elder Astartes a comforting pat on the shoulder
"My psychic might, my skill with Vitarus and as a veteran of the 9th, as well as my experiences and more. All of that is at your service to call upon should you need it, we are brothers in all but name…I care for you greatly, and nothing will change that." Mephiston further spoke causing a rare smile to cross the elder Astartes wizened features
"You have my sincerest gratitude for that…But as much as I would like to go into further details of such things, we have more pressing matters to attend to. The Tyrannids and now even the World Eaters followed by Khornate daemons have been spotted as of late." Dante replied as his expression turned from a brief moment of happiness to sour at the reminder of the treacherous dogs of Khorne barking at their doorstep
"Perhaps if we are lucky, we may be able to put an end to that bloody-handed monster Kharn once and for all. Those raging mongrels would be further frothing at the mouth, if one of our own managed that feat. Could you imagine it, a World eater somehow more of a raging lunatic…the thought is almost humorous to think of." Mephiston joked with a bit of dark humor in his voice
"...I wouldn't mind such a thing at all. Maybe that will suffice as a worthy present to Lord Sanguinius upon his awakening." Dante said as he headed off to convene with a war council on how to handle the issue at hand
"Indeed, brother." Was the response of the immensely powerful Psyker as the two headed off
However, within the medical room of the Great Angel whose arms still cracked and arced with crimson fire; that despite his slumbering form packed enough power to fry an Astartes even within their Power Armor as he slumbered still in his comatose state. However, as he did so and his now 4 angel wings fluttered as though trying to achieve flight as they fought against centuries of atrophy, as they grew more and more vibrant and full of strength by the passing day.
That for the first time in 10,000 years since his slaying at the hands of the arch-traitor Horus Lupercal; did the comatose form of Sanguinius utter words; that despite coming out ragged and almost hoarse from severe under use of his vocal cords. That those words all the same came with a clarity but also somberness that could not be understated, as they escaped his throat to break up the silence as his face twitched in trying to awaken and open his eyes.
"Father…Horus…Fulgrim….I-I am sorry, I am sorry…to all of you that I could not…save you…Please forgive me, for what….I could not do." Came the hoarse yet sorrow-filled words of the 9th Legions' Primarch as he lay still in comatose slumber
(3 days later, June 14th, 998. M41, Zenthon, Tokyo, Japan, 4:20 Pm)
That being said in the days to follow, as Izuku would come home did he see Twice downstairs playing and watching T.V with Eri, while Toga was changing out of her blood-stained clothes, as one of her knives was across the bed.
"Should I be concerned, worried, or prepare for the worst?" Izuku questioned
"No, everything is fine for the most part. It's just that when Eri and I went out for ice cream, there was a little bit of a problem." Toga as she continued to change out of her bloodstained clothes
"How bad was the problem?" Izuku asked back "
As it turns out Eri got spotted by the leader of the Shie Hassakai and he tried to scare her into coming back with him…I didn't take it very well when he tried doing that." Toga told him as she went to her dresser to get her shorts and t-shirt
"So I may have gotten angry and stabbed him over a dozen times; with the knife you gave me for Christmas, and then booked out of there. Which is why my clothes are covered in blood and Eri is downstairs with Twice." Toga further spoke in regards to the incident at hand where she turned Overhaul's stomach and face into Swiss cheese with the fury of a honey badger on meth
"The only thing that matters is that you two got out of there safely. Granted I am concerned that Eri witnessed you stab a man nearly to death. However, if it means being able to keep her safe; then that is an acceptable risk all the same." Izuku responded as he used his psychic powers to take her clothes to the laundry room to be washed for later
"Also, the good news is that other than me having put him on the sidelines. My infiltration work has been going well, turns out that you've been putting him and his buddies on the ropes. So much so, that I heard that they're going to hire someone to try and assassinate you." Toga informed the green-haired Psyker
"Wait, I'm having a hit put on me so soon?" Izuku asked actually surprised by this information
"Mmhmm, they would have tried it earlier. But with how much trouble you have been giving them left, right, and all over the place. You haven't really given them any breathing room, better yet, I'm pretty sure that you've made some of them consider just giving up all together from you nonstop attacking them." Toga told him of how due to his relentless attacks that were downright smothering that many had considered leaving outright due to them losing numbers, supplies, and resources at a terrifying rate
"So if I were you, I would be on the lookout for a creeper waiting to getcha, apparently this guy is supposed to be a high B maybe an A-ranked villain." Toga warned him of whom the assassin could potentially be
"That may be a very big problem, but I doubt it isn't anything I can handle. Besides, a hero is expected to face any and all challenges that comes their way. So all that I need to do is just keep my head up, and I will be just fine." Izuku responded in full confidence that he could and would take care of the issue at hand
"By the way, I'm going to be heading out tonight to get rid of one of Overhaul's right hand men. So I will not be back till later on tonight." Izuku told the manic blonde "Really?! Which one is it?" Toga asked Izuku "Someone that you mentioned was his personal assistant, so in order to deal with him and those protecting him. I have enlisted the help of a few people from the Discord serve we made. Both of whom were more than happy to help out." Izuku informed her "Ok, well good luck and happy hunting!" Toga said as she went up to hug her powerful Psyker of a friend
"Don't worry, Toga. Everything will be just peachy, I'm sure of it." Izuku replied as he returned the hug
With it being hours later before Izuku accompanied by Lady Nagant and another vigilante that went by the name of Ursus Major who was a former Russian vigilant, were currently outside of the home of Hari Kurono a.k.a Chronostasis. Wherein Izuku had been quick to form the Mind Radio to connect everyone for the mission at hand, as Lady Nagant immediately used her Quirk to swiftly take out any of the guards patrolling the small mansion that Chronostasis called a home.
The shots even while being fired from nearly a quarter mile away struck with pinpoint accuracy, piercing through skulls, impaling their way through ribs to eviscerate lungs, hearts, shattering spines, livers, and kidneys with ease and leaving gaping bloody holes in their necks as she blasted through their carotid arteries, jugular veins, and windpipes with ease. The process taking little if anytime to accomplish with bloody precision before she finished eliminating the targets in question that protected the exterior of Hari Kurono's home, before Izuku nodded to Ursus Major who began to activate his Quirk Ursine Menace.
The Quirk causing him to transform into a 9-and-a-half-foot-tall humanoid black bear, that was a lumbering mass of thick fur, heavyset dense muscle that made him look several times wider than Izuku, claws the size of shortswords, teeth that could rend flesh and bite through concrete with the greatest of ease, and piercing reddish-gold eyes. Wherein Izuku after grabbing onto Ursus Major grabbed onto his right arm and together the two flew towards Chronostasis's house at breakneck speeds, ready to destroy any and all opposition in their way.
Meanwhile, on the middle level of the house in question the guards assigned to the right hand of Overhaul's home, were trying to make sense of why all of their guards outside currently had bullet holes in their bodies. With it being minutes of searching to see who or what could've done so, as each Yakuza member of Shie Hassakai began searching high and low to see who or what the culprit could be…at least until they saw the massive outline of a humanoid bear rocketing towards them from the window.
The sight that caught them off guard being even moreso as Ursus Major and Izuku crashed through the window with a raucous thud, before going to work as the former of the two started the fracas off by biting the head off the nearest Yakuza member before slamming another into an adjacent wall with such force his ribs were caved in in an instant. All the while Izuku was stopping any bullet fire from reaching his new comrade in arms with his telekentic prowess, before retaliating with lethal forks of lightning that within seconds of contact would electrocute them into a charred blackened corpse, their flesh and clothes being burned away into ash in the space between a blink and a tear.
As such the two were quick to begin laying waste to any and everything in sight, as they began to make their way towards Chronostasis; the Yakuza falling one after the other; given that their was only so much that even with high calliber rifle fire from assault rifles, sub-machine gun fire, and shotguns could do against the ferocious two-man assault. What with Izuku's lightning blasts and use of summoning tendrils of Warp energy to lash and strike out at their bodies with such malefic power that their bones and flesh melted within their bodies, reducing them to hunks of melted bones and flesh that could only writhe and gurgle from no longer having bones to support their bodies.
All the while Ursus Major would run forward either lumbering forward to slam his paw-like hands to rip out entire chunks of flesh the size of watermelons away with his hooked claws, sending gore and viscera flying across the area, him swinging outwards with his paws and in doing so either dismembering Yakuza on contact or decapitating them outright from the neck up. Then there was the moments that he would run on all fours to leap onto 2 or 3 at a time to maul them with tooth and claw, his large gaping maw biting through flesh and bone as though they were beef jerky, the sound of muscle and bones being chomped and clawed apart being heard amidst their screams of pain.
With this being made all the worse, given that Izuku would use his tendrils of Warp energy to grab Yakuza by the legs and send them flying into the furry death-machine that was Ursus Major who would swipe, claw, and bite his way into them as were ripping through dummies made of tissue paper. The duo leaving either charred electrocuted corpses in their wake, dismembered bodies who were turned into bloody smears on the wooden floors, or those with holes punched in them with Izuku having grown thick knuckle spikes on his fists to punch through them with the force of a Bolter shell.
"Ursus Major, I got an idea to have you clear the stair way." Izuku told the ursine vigilante
"What do you have in mind Comrade Midoriya?!" Ursus Major questioned as he found himself soon floating into the air
"To put it simply, I hope you like being a living rocket because that is what is happening...Good luck, you've got this!" Izuku answered back as he used his telekinetic might to hurtle him like a nearly 10-foot-tall missile of death
'Lady Nagant, have you managed to get rid of the targets' means of escape as planned?' Izuku asked the former Sniper hero
'Yes, as all of his cars have been neutralized. I doubt that any of them are going to be able to work with their tires or engines; having bullet holes in them.' Lady Nagant reported back to Izuku
'Excellent, and thank you so much!' Izuku thanked her as he saw that Ursus Major had in his impromptu flight had turned the stairway into a carnage-filled nightmare of eviscerated bodies
'Of course, Midoriya. Anything to make sure that evil stays where it belongs, in the dirt.' Lady Nagant responded as she began to fire off more shots to eliminate more targets within to better clear the way
From there, Izuku followed close behind Ursus Major ready to ensure that no survivors were left to tell the tale of what happened this night, nor allowing anyone to run to warn Chronostasis of what was happening or attempt to escape. Anyone that Izuku had caught trying to make a break for it, did he either fry into ashes with miniature storms of Warp lightning, cause large portions of their body to explode with blasts of psychic energy, or send them reeling backwards into the blood-stained maw of Ursus Major; who roared in the slaughter of the Shie Hassakai.
As such as the two closed in on their target, did the attempts of those standing vigilant guard become more and more futile, as Izuku's use of his psychic powers to defend himself and Ursus Major from gunfire proved to be both impressive and terrifying to behold. Given that he would either simply stop them in mid-air, use his pyrokinesis to melt them before they even reached an arms-width of their direction before directing the molten slugs back to sender; sending molten led into their eyes, ears and mouth. Causing them to scream bloody murder as molten bullets flooded their every orifice, and seared their vocal cords and eyes shut, or redirecting them at such speeds that it looked more akin to them being shoved through a woodchipper.
All the while even those that did make it past Izuku's telekinetic bulwark of a defensive, did they act as the equivalent of bee stings to the Russian vigilante who would simply charge forward on all fours to pounce upon his opposition, and rip their heads off with his gaping maw, slam and rip their backs open with his literal bare hands. Turning their, ribs, spines, and flesh into a slurry of crushed bone, pulpified gore and visecera, as well as crushed innards that when he would slam or use a clawed backhand, would crumple their chest cavities inwards, as though they were beer cans being ran over by a Honda Civic at full speed.
The deafening roar of Ursus Major and the constant barrage of psionic attacks from Izuku that would reduce their opposition to ash, melt their bones and flesh into a slurry within their very skin; to leave them as gurgling blobs of flesh and muscle; made for a terrifying scene to behold. For all that anyone could do as they saw their comrades be torn asunder was hide in any opening they could find, with flesh being either ripped, shredded, and bitten away by the hulking behemoth, or them being turned to ash, or watching as they had holes punched in them so large they may as well have been bifurcated. Then the worse coming when Izuku and Ursus Major would double-up on a target to unleash combos either with Izuku uppercutting them into the ursine vigilante's maw to be bitten in half, or being soccer kicked into the ground, only to be pummeled and mauled into a bloody gore puddle.
As such it was a matter of mere minutes of what felt like unending carnage, before Izuku and Ursus Major would reach their target who was struggling to stand after having a bullet in his stomach, and one having blasted off his lower right leg to a gorey mess. With Chronostasis having tried to hide away in his closet in the hopes that his would-be-killers would think that he had long since ran away, but it was for naught given that the enhanced sense of smell allowed Ursus Major to quickly find the right hand of Kai Chisaki. Who without any speeches or words of glory simply tore into him as the namesake of his Quirk would do, the screams turned gurgled cries of agony were heard, as massive powerful jaws and large clawed hands ripped, tore and crushed Chronostasis apart.
Wherein Izuku looked away in not wanting to witness the display of carnage, as chunks of skull, bones, internal organs, and even fingers were sent flying across the room, before the ursine vigilante stopped obliterating what was once Overhaul's assistant…Rather what was if it could even be called such as all that was left was a skeleton that had lumps of meat, and nerves hanging onto its body, as a bloodstained Ursus Major transformed back to normal whilst Izuku blasted apart the nearest window for them to fly out of and back to Lady Nagant.
'Lady Nagant everything went as planned. Chronostasis and all those protecting him have been eliminated.' Izuku informed the former Sniper Hero
'Good work, Midoriya. I will rendezvous with you and Ursus Major soon enough.' Lady Nagant replied through the telepathic link as she went to do just that
"This was great fun, Comrade Midoriya. Thank you for allowing me to join you in the great hunt against villainous scum." Ursus Major said his grinning visage covered in gore and viscera from numerous kills
"I am thankful for the assistance, it is incredibly nice to have help fighting evil. It truly does make the difference against villains wherever they may be." Izuku replied thankful for the help
"Of course, and I hope that you will call upon my strength in the future to come. The hunt against villainous scum is always a great and welcome one! It is a shame I could not continue in my home country, their scruples getting in the way of true justice and hunting down low-life wretches!" Ursus Major requested in enjoying the hunt of vanquishing evil
"Trust me, with villains running rampant across the country. I have a feeling that your strength will be incredibly welcome. In fact, I think I know a way you can help me out soon enough." Izuku said getting the ursine vigilante's attention
"What did you have in mind? I long for the thrill of crushing villainous scum between my fists and claws!" Ursus Major questioned in bloodthirsty excitement
"How do you feel about taking down an assassin?" Izuku asked back as the two flew to rendezvous with Lady Nagant
(1 week later, Wage of Sin, 998. M41, 1:45 Pm, June 24th)
Meanwhile, on the Wage of Sin; Eidolon was currently conversing with his comrade turned Daemon Prince Julius Kaesorron in regards to the 3rd Legion being sent to scour the stars for something called a Crone Sword that had gone missing in the months since the distortion within the Warp several months ago.
"I still fail to see how something that is so supposedly valuable, has slipped from our gods' personal domain? How is that even possible, Julius? You would think that the daemonettes of She Who Thirsts would have such an item, under lock and key." Eidolon questioned as to how something so supposedly valued could go missing
"Your guess is as good as mine. All that I do know is that ever since that massive distortion in the Warp, the domain of Slannesh, has been damaged considerably. From the internal strife that Lord Fulgrim faces within himself, to Daemonettes having been eviscerated by all manner of destruction that feels as though the Immaterium's raw hate has come to crush them. To even rendering Hellbane a sundered shell of herself who has had her flesh flayed open as though made the plaything of Konrad Kurze himself." Julius Kaesorron informed the master of the Phoenix Conclave
"Even the great mistress of Excess has not escaped unscathed. So much so have these distortions in the Immaterium become that even she finds her ability to indulge in glorious debauchery and symphonies of immaculate pleasure lessened greatly…The halls of Slaanesh echo with screams of not pleasure from her personal domain, but of agony I have never thought possible." Julius Kaesorron further spoke much to Eidolon's surprise "It is that severe, that even She Who Thirsts does not indulge in the pleasures of her own realm?" Eidolon questioned once more surprised to hear such a thing
"Indeed, for the rare times that I visit her halls, to perfect my own craft in symphonies of pure wonder and delight. Do I hear her agonizing screams echo the halls of her realm. Often cursing the Aeldari, and their blasphemous gods attempting to crawl and tear their way from her very being; back to their knife-earred worhsippers. This among other things, such as other warbands having suffered their own fates from the backlash of the distortions, has been a troublesome affair." The Slanesshi Daemon Prince informed the once Lord Commander of the 3rd Legion
"Believe me, I have noticed. From my own men having been stripped of the ability to feel sensation of any kind, to Lucius complaining of no longer feeling the rush of his sadistic needs to prove himself in battle and even his own mind suffering the unending and deafening screams of those who have defeated him. Among so many others that it has become cumbersome and infuriating to deal with." Eidolon spoke in having suffered
"Hence why, I with Lord Fulgrim's help have come up with a sort of…solution to what has been ailing our fractured Legion. A stopgap if you will, until a more permanent solution is found" Eidolon informed the Favoured Son
"And what exactly is this 'stopgap measure' of yours?" Julius Kaesorron questioned
"Simple, really. Now that there is the addition of this Crone Sword that has gone missing from Lady Slannesh's domain, and now amidst the stars to be found. We have been in contact with a rather potent daemon, known as Vashtorr the Arkifane." Eidolon answered back
"I have heard of this Vashtorr, he is one of the forgemasters for the Ruinous Powers. While he does not side with any of the 4 in particular, he serves them equally in creating powerful weapons of war, Daemon Engines for their factions and by proxy our Legions…He is famed or rather infamous, for delivering on the deals made." The Favoured Son spoke regarding the powerful daemon
"Indeed, and as such we have entered into a deal with him. Wherein myself and various other Warbands who have agreed to this deal. Will lead assaults against the Iron Hands, and capture those mechanophiles to be sent to Vashtorr. Where he can experiment and tinker with them, to turn them a 'pet project' of his if you will…Apparently, the Arkifane has grown curious of seeing what can become of hybridizing Daemon Engines with the strength of Astartes who have by and large; done an incredible amount of leg work for him." Eidolon informed the once 1st Captain of the 3rd Legion
"As such we have been making way to lay waste to any of those of the tenth Legion we can find. From Neophyte to Veteran, it does not matter, we have captured those in abundance and trapped them within our cells. All of whom will be delivered to the Arkifane soon enough…I will say, this Iron Crusade as some of our battle-brothers have called has become quite a refreshing change of pace if I do say so myself." Eidolon further explained in having rather enjoyed hunting those cybernetic fools who rejected the experiences and pleasures of the flesh for cold hard machinery
"Exactly, how many have you collected, Eidolon?" The Daemon Prince of Slannesh questioned
"So far we have collected enough to nearly comprise an entire chapter perhaps 2 at this rate. We have been incredibly busy, to make sure our deal is fulfilled…You should see how well our Legion despite being fractured is able to come together, when the promise of pleasure returned is on the line." Eidolon answered back with a sinister smile
What with Eidolon seeing the fractured remains of the 3rd having come together to return their stolen ability feel pleasure and pain, at an astonishing rate as they waged a relentless campaign against the sons of the Gorgon. So much so was their fervor in attacking the 10th and stealing their numbers to fufil their bargain, that it almost felt as though the Emperor's Children were at the strength that they once had been during the height of the Heresy.
The Lord Commander of the 3rd Legion having even felt something akin to pride, in seeing his battle brothers both old and new come together as a unified front to eviscerate and sunder the mechanized Astartes who even as they tried to combat them, could do nothing against the ferocious determination of the Phoenicians' sons.
"That is incredibly impressive…Honestly, to see our Legion being unifed is almost astonishing to hear." Were the only words that Julius could say to hearing such things
"It is even more amazing to see, brother. Especially, when Lord Fulgrim in his moments of lucidity and composure joins us on the fields of battle. It is something truly raptourous to behold, as we crush and capture those malformed wretches, and show them that the power of the flesh and all the wondrous glory that comes with it. That all of it and so much more, is far greater than the cold embrace of machinery they all but fornicate with." Eidolon responded with a smile that held a small bit of sadistic mirth in what would soon befall the sons of Ferrus Manus
"Perhaps, I may join you yet in this Iron Crusade. It has been centuries since I have composed a worthwhile symphony on the battlefield. Perhaps, the music of sundering the Gorgon's sons will make wondrous music." Julius Kaesorron spoke in already imagining the scores he could make through the crushing of their bones and splitting of their servos from flesh
"Trust me, Julius. We can and will make symphonies to rival the greatest of composers both now and of ages past. Better yet, while we search for this Crone Sword that has gone missing. We can continue to crush those mechanophiles as they deserve, after all slaughter of fools and mission objectives go hand and hand in creating something glorious does it not?" Eidolon told the towering form of the Favoured Son
"You make a very compelling point, Eidolon…I will see too it, that aid of my own can accompany your crusade. Perhaps, we can even work out a further means of turning the sons of Ferrus into machines to help compose wonderful music of our own…I have a few ideas if you are willing to hear?" The former 1st Captain of the 3rd Legion said to Eidolon
"By all means share, we have an abundance of time on our hands…now that we have this additional objective to complete. Which may take time to acquire, will nonetheless be something that I will put at the top of our list." Eidolon spoke
"So tell me brother…what did you have in mind to turn these cybernetic wretches into something more befitting of your sypmhonies?" Eidolon questioned as Julius gave an inhumanly ear-splittling grin as he began to discuss such morbid and horrific details with the Lord Commander
And so as Izuku continues to employ the aid of vigilantes to help him sunder Shie Hassakai to the wayside and as such eliminate Overhaul from the picture entirely, we also see that in the greater galaxy that things on both Traitor and Loyalist sides of the Astartes bring new developments that will no doubt bring wide-reaching ramifications in the days to follow. As such with the 10th Legion being hunted by the Emperor's Children, Sanguinius's psychic potential further growing in scope, and Izuku's crusade against the Shie Hassakai continuing…How things shall proceed from hereon, is something you'll have to see in the all new installments of, My Psyker Academia!
Alright, everyone that'll do it for this one as I hoped you guys enjoyed this chapter and everything that went into it. Given that there has now grown some new developments in the story that are gonna be a ton of fun to get into down the line (cue evil laugh towards the 10th Legion). As such I do want to thank everyone for their support thus far, as every favorite, follow, and review has been a great help.
Therefore, in hoping everyone will continue to stick around for all of the shenanigans I have planned, this is Nomadic Chaos 888 using the power of our wondrous Patron, (Blood for the Blood God, and Skulls for his glorious Throne!) To give you guys great stuff to read, as next chapter will continue into Part 3 of the Overhaul Arc, and as such I can't wait to see what weird stuff comes out of that.
Prelude Theme Song: Reborn by Stone Sour
Random End Song: I Get Wicked by Thousand Foot Krutch
Now then onto the reviews of the previous chapter.
Guest: That is a possibility although how I'm going to do that I have no clue just yet.
Kourtney Uzu Yato: Glad you like it, Kourtney. Also, Izuku's following is just going to get larger because its the fact that vigilante's now have a face to put to someone who can actually get why they are a needed part in the fight against not just villains but Chaos, something that will come up later when we get to Stain and the USJ incidents. Also, Endeavor is not gonna let All Might live it down that he let go of someone who is a massively powerful psychic who is just going to get stronger. Not to mention that the idea for Hawks being Endeavor's former student made sense to me to the point that I'm surprised that other people don't use the idea more often given how much it works, when you get down to it. Also, as far as Toga's concerned Eri is staying with her forever since its like 'I now have a small person to look after and I will protect them with my life!' as far as she's concerned, and as such is going to be the main reason that every time that she goes in for infiltration missions she will work that much harder, because she now has a 2nd person to come home to. Furthermore, their will never not stop being vigilante team-ups especially once I get around to the whole Chaos Cults being a thing, and even moreso when Quirk Zombies start showing up, since Vigilante's are a needed part of what is needed to take down Chaos and their followers, and as for Stain...all I can say is Slannesh has their hooks in him, how deep they are I will save for later. And as for Shoto and Izuku's face off, all I will say is that the Battle Trial is gonna be the first of many where Izuku is going to let him know/show him 'either start using your full powers, or I'm going to show you what the world will do to you if you don't.'
