Rupertinia and Regalus prepared for Sirius' release from Azkaban for good behavior. Sirius would be on parole with a dementer. Thinking of Sirius strolling through London with a dementer was an interesting thought for Rupertini.
Rupertinia's own reputation tanked with Sirius, and as a result so did Regalus, as Sterlinge. As Sterlinge was bethrothed to Rupertin. The newspaper column spaces were filled with stories about Sirius, Rupertini, and Sterlinge.
Rupertinia and Sterlinge's own sentences, inclduing community service just made them easier targets to the public criticism, that they were influenced by Black.
Most people thought the trial was a farce, but the same people didn't question Lucius. But solid evidence was brought up that Peter's body wasn't found there, and Sirius wasn't tied to whatever happened to Peter. So Sirius was on parole for 12 more years.
Rupertinia had her own problems. She married Regalus when he was under another disguise due to pressure from Arcturus and Cassopia. Then she divorced him.
She went through 3 unknown surnames she just made up, but kept noted at the ministry to prevent someone from ever poking in.
And remarried him under the next disguise. She did this so no would be able to guage any future offspring's genes. Girls would be 1/3 leprechaun, 1/3 genie, and 1/3 fairy after looking very Weasley for the first few years.
But finally she offciated her and Sterlinge's marriage, right before a grand wedding. She did this from the country side of the Black estates, near her clan land. Not that the Blacks were involved outside of her being Lady Black Proxy. They didn't know Sterlinge was Regalus.
As she glanced out of the temple gazebo at her clan, and planned details for her upcoming grand wedding with Kreacher, Narcissa, and Lina Patil; she was glad she was laid off from her 2nd to last job.
In her newest job, while she dealt with vendors, it was on the event dealing side. She was happy to be on that side while planning her own wedding.
Cassopia and her fairy clan, seers, forsaw she would have triplets, 2 girls and one boy in the future. So she did the reasonable thing and picked out names: Pearline, Blairie, and Blaise. Also Rupertinia was legally changing her name to Rupertini.
But now Rupertini Zambini nee Weasley had bigger issues. She just found out she had Whistleblower Protections, but due to the whirlwind of toxcity, she was past the 30 day limit. But can call NLRB, they might take the whistleblower complaints better than OSHA. She preyed filing a magical charge with the NLRB went through. She hoped her time limit was within the time limit. Fingers didn't get a patrnous or owl reply with a letter, that was marked with the seal of authority of the central government. She didn't have a union but she did engage in protected concerted activities.
Maybe she might not even need to regular-report her former workplace to OSHA. She tried to hire someone to do it, as the last magical PI organization charged for 4 hours which wasn't cheap.
On top of that, Rupertinia changed her name to Rupertini. She sighed and stood up to take a walk in the garden lined with fairies from her clan.
With Sirius coming out, she realized they might need to keep Harry. The Potters' situation was a hot mess.
The Evans were all rude and lashed out or attacked in extremely petty, powertripping ways.
From what Rupertinia and Regalus noted down for Sirius, Harry seemed to be kept from normal baby outings. Compared to many other babies who were taken on such outings.
His didn't look quite 100% alright, a little attention deprived, but she couldn't place her finger on it. She almost felt he was labeled, and had to follow very specific rules. But he wanted to be around his parents at hte saem time. And that was all since before he got the scar.
Rupertin was dealing with the Blacks as in-laws, she couldn't handle Harry's special caring, or the Evans' never ending drama/mess.
They never even wanted her or anyone to play with Harry before. From her experience Lily just liked to lure people in with her polar mood swings, then slowly take advantage of them. She has seen Lily take advantage of Narcissa a few times, when Narcissa was head girl and Lily was a prefect. Narcissa had to learn to avoid that situation. Which she didn't as far as Rupertini could see.
Yet Lily out of the Evans liked to have Potter interfere in the Black matters, especially after Rupertinia was bethrothed to him in her 4th year, before Regalus went to the cave. Lily was bethrothed to James.
It was always the same, Lily couldnt be looked at the wrong way, or her bossy desires had to be acknowleged. Super narcissic vibes. But Regalus was expected to be nice to James, as if Reg was a bully. But Regalus wasn't living off the Potters, so nothing would come of that type of guilt trip especially if it wasn't reciprocated. Regalus had less ties, and less capacity to be emotionally blackmailed. In short distance from that type of agressiveness, or these days passive aggressiveness would be best.
James wasn't part of the sacred 28, he was a sacred mouthpiece for Lily. There is no way he's having inclusion in the Black affairs, because the remaining Blacks didn't even deal with many other Sacred 28 despite the ones directly married within Arcturus' line. That didn't even include the Weasleys until Rupertini's bethrothal to Regalus. Even Rupertini, a proud half breed knew this. And Lily didn't even have the gall to try to interfere herself, she was using James to do it. She sat 10 feet away from Regalus which looked very odd, overall.
Rupertine thought it was best to keep the outsiders out of her and Regalus' nuptial matters, when she was bethrothed to him. Walburga, Narcissa, Meda, and even Bellatrix wouldn't even know what to do with that type of oddity. Well Bellatrix might act up, but nevermind that.
The Evans and Potter didn't have stake in her in-laws. Narcissa told them to help chaperone her and Regalus, because Narcissa herself was busy. That was Narcissa's mistake. Lily tried to give unasked for advice, despite not taking any well meaning advice for Petunia's first child.
From then on Rupertini banned Narcissa from making fool hardy plans. Because Narcissa wouldn't, Rupertini kept her fiance and in-law matters away from outsiders, who would go on to not even like her being around their child.
Rupertinia reminded them of their attitude if she was expected anything. Now Lily was gone, but Rupertinia suspected she was turned too. She was never one for confrontning anyone without James, besides Petunia or whatever. She had good reason to believe that Lily was alive and hiding, but still not far from Harry.
Either way Rupertini would make it clear that if Lily had some new agenda to carry out on Rupertini's in-laws, Lily should try it herself without James as mouthpiece. Her new in-laws won't want Lily's husband interfering but not accepting any criticism, and without Lily. If it got to that level, which Rupertini wouldn't let it.
Lily, or Petunia(if she also felt the need, since that family had the same bad habit), would have to do it to each other, away from Rupertini's circle.
They were new to Britian so they needed a place to stay, but Rupertini didn't like the arrangements. She also wasn't interested in adopting their customs.
Lily returned a decent chunk of what she took the liberty to borrow to Narcissa, before October 31st. Rupertini didn't see it in person but it looked like a petty dealing with a lot of fine print, which Narcissa would be foolish to sign.
Petunia also gave Rup a large sum of muggle money for the time Rup helped her, which also covered the money Petunia owed her.
But Rup knew it was a game on Lily's part. She whad wanted to take advantage again. Rup didn't take the offer to eat at her place before she went into hiding, which was just her maid's disturbing food. She felt Hagrid's rockcakes had a better texture, ingredients, and food saftey over all.
Rup was just glad she was too busy with her new job to bother with bothering with Lily circle, overall. Lily couldn't carry out her agenda, especially in Rupertini's Black of all people in-laws(the ones who knew Sterlinge was Regalus), if Rup didn't visit her place. It would be harder for Lily, who would barely meet Rup's fiance.
It would also mean that Regalus would acknowledge that Lily wouldn't even invite or cook for Regalus, but have James boss Rupertini over giving her fiance water. Like Rupertini didn't know that, or was going to force Regalus to stay dehyrdated, or Lily was even politely greeting them, versus sitting in the next room.
Lily never even paid for Regalus(in disguise) when they went to a restuarant because of Narcissa. Narcissa gave them money. And Regalus at that time was dumb enough to offer Lily, a share of his order(for his friend). Atleast now they had no footing in Rupertinia's in-laws or Rupertinia wouldn't stay quiet. Or play nice.
Luckily Lily didn't even meet Regalus' 2nd to last disguise. In fact the in-laws from Regalus' 2nd disguise, said they wanted to live in a house the Weasleys inherited. They asked if Black relatives- Dorea, Charlus, or Charlus' James, neice-in-law Lily needed the house. The house was a Black house, but the Weasleys had more little more stake than the Potters.
Those in-laws were Corners, Regalus' distant relatives. The Corners had their eyes on the house, wanted to ask more information than give, didn't like being asked the same way they did, and wanted to make Rupertini adopt their specific customs. They wanted to visit Rupertini's home and stay for almost a week, to see if Rupertini adopted.
The Weasleys didn't even demand as much. And in Rupertini's case, she was bethrothed to Regalus before the cave incident. Walburga was expecting her to change her customs.
The boy was an Evans in temperment. Rupertinia would just stay on the outside of all of this. She was too busy with her new job.
Harry took to her once when she visited as she carried out her service. But it turns out he was jealous Dudely was getting more attention/carrying lately, so he wanted to be carried by her. Rupertini wasn't exactly sure what was going on in that house but she thought she one of the Dursleys compare toddlers at one point.
Rupertinia finished her parlor grooming, which she kept on top of, added genie oil to her hair, and left for work as the sun shone brightly. She skipped to work, past her clan land, basking under the bright sunlight. She passed by leprechauns on their way to create trouble, and Rupertini was overcome with the desire to cause mayham among muggles. She hoped the NLRB would reply soon. If only her last employer was a muggle, she would call the nlrb in front of him like the leprechaun she was. The orange glow of her Weasley hair, highlighted by her 1/3 leprechaun ancestry after the maledicus, would be noticable along with the leprechaun features or smirk.
Thanks to her 1/3 river genie and 1/3 fairy genes, she only had a bit of a green tint to her skin which was offset by the orange tint as a fairy. And the river genie genes gave her skin a tint closer to witches. It was good thing her 1/20 chamelon ghoul genes didn't come through, or Bellatrix would know she was a half breed. She was also lucky she didn't get long lasting wings. She could fly as a part leprechaun, as well as part fairy. Not to mention glide across water as a part river genie.
As Rupertini skipped, she flew into the air and flew outside of wizards or muggles' views. The last thing Rupertini needed as she flew near the trees, were her future in-laws, the Blacks, seeing her. Or Bellatrix hearing she was flying from Azkaban. Or the daily prophet reporting it to the world. Narcissa's husband didn't need to know. As the wind rustled the deep green everglades she flew past, Rup realized Cissy unfortunately joined the wrong side. This was highlighted during peacetime. The wind died down, and Rupertini was left with the mess of the war, tearing sisters, friends, 3rd cousins, brothers, and familes apart. There was nothing left but stillness under a burning sun.
She sent a message to Regalus to the Prewitt twins to make arrangements as Sirius was gong to be released tomorrow. Rupertinia would rather avoid the Evans. She didn't need anything from them, dealing with their neverending toxicity was ick.
Besides her cousin, Ron, and there was the poor Neville boy were all playing at the same area. Her cousin Ginny was a bit too young, and the twins were too naughty. Kids played outside and with other kids. Or their friends. She could imagine the pond at the Burrow corrugulating, and the kids around it. It was simple. She didn't get why it Evans overcomplicated it.
That made her circle back to Neville, who was almost orphaned brutally. The Lesteranges, Bellatrix, and BartyJr went too far, and that effectively destroyed Crouchjr's bid to become prime minister.
Rup was shocked not only for the poor boy but over how it got to that point. She never liked Rodolphus but she rmemebered Rab and Barty. They were just young boys.
Bellatrix was unstable but Rupertinia still couldn't believe they went that far.
