A semester isn't really that long when it's seen from a different perspective. Four months to work around courses, internships, and other college-related activities take up a lot of time and not a lot of people realize how fast the days or weeks go until the time comes around. Midterms had already come and gone which means they were nearing finals and graduation. Seniors who scrambled to get their last credits in and try to gear towards walking the stage were all in chaos as they met with their advisors and professors.
Nothing was more annoying than hearing the words: "What's next after graduation?" Because what fucking sane college student who just went through four years of hell wants to hear what's fucking next? It's always what's next and never how are you or what a lovely day we're having.
Natsu would much rather hear about someone's traumatic life experience than have to sit through another fucking meeting or have someone ask him what's next because he doesn't fucking know what is next. Life is unpredictable that way and Natsu was not a planner by all means. That's all Lucy.
One plan he does have is to of course wed Lucy and get the fuck out of MU. He would love to have a cute adorable home with his wife and Happy and possibly four more cats. That's what's next. That was what he was happy to plan for, not hunting down a job and doing god knows what for the next fifty years of his life.
His future father-in-law did say he was willing to find something for Natsu to do in his business and it didn't sound entirely awful so he had that on the back burner.
This internship is seeming to look like they like him enough to keep him even after graduation and if he had been calculating correctly, he would probably stick around even after graduation to build himself some credibility. It gave him a couple months to work and be around Lucy and then she was to graduate and then they could figure it out from there.
He had no idea what Lucy had in plan for her future but he wasn't going to bombard her with the same idiotic questions everyone asks him. She is a fucking heiress to a multi-billion dollar company, she didn't even have to come to college but yet here she was like the rest of the lot.
Natsu had been spending a lot of his time lately wondering the same thing. He wasn't ever a romantic type nor was he someone who truly saw himself being in a serious relationship this early in life. He thought he would be partying it up and being reckless with Gray until they were at least reaching their thirties. He had plans on getting a bachelor pad with Gray after graduation and then moving on from there till he met the love of his life.
But the love of his life had other plans and was the first to come knocking on his door before he was prepared for such a change.
Well, more so she was delivered to him tied up in his bedroom but the logistics of it didn't matter, she was still brought to him.
Now with Lucy messing up his future plans (he was a bit grateful honestly), he now had to plan a future with her and not just with Gray. Gray had his own shit anyways with him and Juvia basking in their newly found titles (all of it is so confusing and not worth the headache in Natsu's eyes to dive deep into their weird relationship) and he was sure he would probably move to Hargeon to be with Juvia afterwards.
He was sure if Gray asked Juvia to marry him and pop out a hundred kids today, she would definitely do it. Or at least try.
Lucy on the other hand? She was a bit harder to crack on this. He's been trying to put a baby inside of her, ring or not, and he definitely wasn't complaining when Mirajane was trying to wed them off secretly.
He was still a bit bummed about that because he truly did think Mirajane did all the hard work for them and he didn't have to worry about the damn marriage license nor certificate.
And as much as he joked around how he wanted to put a baby inside of her, all he is doing is just manifesting for the future. He knows it's not ideal to get pregnant when Lucy is in her last year of university and even if she did and decided not to keep it since it wasn't their time, he would fully accept her decision. He wasn't going to shame her for making a decision she thought was best, especially if it meant they could be successful in the end.
He could wait for little mini Natsu's and Lucy's running around because he knew they'd come one day. Just not now and not too soon. He'd love to spend a couple more years with Lucy before it had to revolve around little ones.
While Natsu had looked over a million fucking ring at this point and discreetly looked up proposal ideas, he still had a good half a year left before anything were to happen. He had to graduate and get his foot through the working world first and then Lucy had to graduate as well. He thought about proposing at her graduation but the idea of doing it in front of a million fucking people also made him want to shit himself.
Natsu is a usual fireball who loves attention from anyone and everyone but thinking about asking Lucy to marry him in front of the public's eye made him squirmish.
What if she said no? (He knew she wouldn't… right?)
What if something went wrong? What if Lucy doesn't want to be proposed to this early? What if Lucy doesn't want a public proposal? Then he would surely have to work around that, too.
But for now, he was fine with the idea that Lucy will be his wife for real one day and he still had a couple months to figure out a nice proposal and find a nice ring.
"Luuucy," he whined for the hundredth time, his words dragging out as he rolled around on her bed. "Play with meee."
"For the last time, Natsu, I have to finish the Friendsgiving schedule." The blonde hissed at him from her desk while the rosy-haired frat continued to whine. "Don't you have daddy duties?"
"Gray is with them," he said before he went right back to whining. "But Luuucy, I've been gone all day and I just want to cuddle." He gave her a pout and tried to reel her in with his puppy-eyed but she merely shot him a glare. "What are you even doing? Isn't this an everyone type of thing and not just you?"
"I have to work out the schedule with the dean to see when we can get the football field reserved for our Friendsgiving potluck. I also have to work around the sororities schedule to see how we can rotate with decorating and setting up since we were picked for that one this year. Not to mention the Turkey Trot that is this upcoming weekend I may or may not have to forcibly volunteer sisters to go to." She let out a frustrated sigh at the sound of the many things she had to do. "And on top of it all, I have you on my back whining about wanting to cuddle."
"Why can't we cuddle and do this?"
"Because you're distracting."
"In the best way." He gave her a cheeky grin and she was rolling his eyes. "Come on, I'll help you."
"And what can you possibly do?" She raised a brow at him and he gave her a nervous look back. "You know what? Why don't you volunteer your own for the Turkey Trot and on the way there why don't you work your magic and ask some of my sisters to do so?"
Natsu groaned out loud, throwing his head back on the pillow. "This is not what I meant at all. I just wanted some Lucy time," he whined into her sheets, rubbing his face into her pillow while she let out a sigh again.
And without Mirajane here to dictate everything, Natsu wonders how this year Friendsgiving was going to be.
Seeing how anal Lucy was being over it, he could already tell she was going to be Mirajane 2.0.
Usually whatever his wife tells him to do something, he does it without much thought or hesitation because he loves her. But usually his wife was with him when things like this happened and he wasn't happy to find out that he's already agreed to do this and not know Lucy wasn't going to be in the picture. He was hoping he could sit at the water station with her again and flirt with her shamelessly while runners ran by but this year, that was not the case.
It was pretty fucking annoying that he had to be here doing this for the second time in a row with nothing to gain from it. Especially when it's not a hot blonde beside him and he was stuck with step-daddy of all fucking people.
When he said that he would help, this wasn't what he had in fucking mind.
"I don't know why I got stuck with this," Romeo said in a flat tone as he poured water from a pitcher into paper cups. "I didn't even do this last year."
"Exactly. That's why as a rookie, you must pay for your time." Natsu said as he pushed the cups forward in a perfect line. "Besides, would you rather help set up Friendsgiving or do this?"
"Set up Friendsgiving—"
"You're delusional if you think setting up Friendsgiving is better than pouring water for these crazy idiots." Gray said as he returned with a pitcher of lemonade in his hands. Even with the low temperatures and winter approaching rather quickly, he still wore a thin t-shirt and jeans. "Lucy is in charge and you do not want to get in her way."
"She's not as bad as Mirajane, I heard."
"Nobody is as bad as Mirajane."
The three of them exchanged looks before a shiver rushed down their bodies.
"Is that how you got roped into this?" Romeo asked, an eyebrow quirked towards the ink-haired one. "Because it's either this or Lucy's wrath?"
"No, I'm not afraid of Lucy," Gray scoffed but the slight wobble to his tone made it unbelievable. "But if you're speaking technically, yes, I'd rather pour water and do this shit than sit around and get yelled at by Lucy. And also, Juvia is participating in the double T."
"I didn't know Juvia ran," Natsu said and Gray shrugged while he was pouring lemonade in the other cups on the left while Romeo filled the ones on the right.
"I didn't either but she said she wanted to do it so I figured I'll come and support her."
"Support her my ass," Natsu snorted as Gray shot him a glare. "Just admit you just wanted to see her."
"Well," his cheeks grew red with embarrassment. "That, too." He grumbled and Natsu smirked triumphantly at his submission. "Fuck you."
"Nah, I already got a hot blonde back at home waiting for me," Natsu waved him off casually and Gray was now snorting. "How are the kiddos doing? Anyone fucking up?"
"How can you fuck up pouring drinks into cups?" Romeo muttered as he lined up the cups towards the front of the table. "You're just pouring liquid into paper cups."
"You'd be surprised, Rom," Natsu sighed while slapping a hand over his shoulder. "You'd be surprised."
"Jack and Mike are being fucking idiots over there. Had more water on each other than in the cups when I checked up on them earlier."
Natsu clicked his tongue in disapproval while supervising the task the two were doing.
"Rin and Max are holding up pretty well. Also helps that Nab is there but they don't realize how lazy Nab is."
The occasional runner would come by and snag a paper cup from their station, cheers and the sounds of feet stomping against the concrete echoing within.
The three frat brothers wouldn't bother with anything else, counting down the time so they could return back to MU to kickstart yet another Friendsgiving in the Greek community.
"So, Rom," Natsu said suddenly as he was leaning against the table, facing his little and roommate. Romeo raised a brow at him as he sipped from his own cup of lemonade and Gray sneakily pouring in a shooter into his own. "What's up with you and Wendy?"
Romeo choked on his drink at the sudden question. He began to pound on his chest, sugary liquid spilling from his gaping mouth as his cheeks dusted rosy red. Natsu watched in amusement, a smirk crawling on his lips at the sight of his little being so flustered over some girl.
Gray raised a brow at this as he tossed the empty shooter into the trash and he came closer to stand beside Natsu, hand shoved into his pocket while he sipped on his mixed drink.
"The blue-haired one in Zeta? The one that pledged with you?"
"Yep," Natsu popped the P with a wicked smirk on his face. "Romeo has the hots for her."
"I—I do not!" He shrieked but the way his entire face was growing red didn't convince anyone. "We're just friends!"
"I see the way you look and talk about her," Natsu winked and it only made Romeo grow even more flustered. "That's how I was when Luce and I were starting off."
"I wouldn't say that much…" Gray gave him a side glance while Natsu gave him a warning one back.
"Look who's talking." Natsu scoffed as he crossed his arms across his chest. "Anyways, so what's the deal with you two? Just hooking up?"
"Um, no," Romeo furrowed his brows, feeling himself start to fidget in his spot as his big brother tried to pry into his life. "Wendy is… shy."
"Oh, so you two aren't hooking up?"
"We haven't gone far," Romeo didn't know why he was feeling so jittery and so awkward as his two older brothers gave him a look. "She, uh, we are, um, waiting."
"Waiting for what? Marriage?" Gray asked in confusion and Natsu laughed as he elbowed him.
"No! Well, we're just kind of getting to know each other right now. Wendy is… shy, like I said and we're just taking things… slow." Romeo dipped his chin down so he wouldn't be seen with the heavy blush on his cheeks. "I'm planning on asking her to be my girlfriend soon."
"Hey! Why don't you look at that! My little has bigger balls than you!" Natsu barked out in laughter as Gray shot him a glare.
"Not true! Romeo is like me where he's waiting it out! Getting to know her! There is no rush, don't let anyone peer pressure you." He turned to look at the younger brother who nodded at him. "Don't let this hothead think you need to rush into things."
"You and Juvia literally fucked the first time you met. At least Lucy and I waited!"
"That wasn't by your choice! Lucy had you on a leash since day fucking one."
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"Uhh… Natsu? Gray?" Romeo tried to get their attention but they were too busy screaming at one another and smashing their foreheads together.
"I have full faith that Romeo will be able to make me proud in this aspect. Wendy is an excellent partner for you!" Natsu turned to look at his little, a wide grin on his face while he thrusted two thumbs up at him. Romeo gave him an exasperated look in return. "You should be having fun, too, Romeo. Don't chase after a girl you don't see a future with."
"O—oh, no worries," Romeo offered a shy grin. "I am having fun."
"How much fun could you possibly have when you two haven't even hooked up?" Gray let out a yawn as he nursed his spiked lemonade.
"Not everything is about hooking up, asshole," Natsu hissed at him who scoffed back in return.
"Says the fucking asshole who can't even keep his dick in his pants and fucks his girlfriend on any flat surface he can find. Do you not remember how the pledges walked in on you?"
"Or the brothers." Romeo piped up and Natsu rolled his eyes.
"It's not my fault you decide to walk in at the wrong time."
"You shouldn't even be fucking on the kitchen table, idiot!"
"You're just mad you can't fuck your girlfriend the way I do." Natsu gave the gawking male a smug smirk while Gray looked entirely offended and stunned by his comment. "Maybe you need to up your sex game."
"I do not have to up anything!" Gray was beginning to grow red from embarrassment and anger. "Juvia and I have a great sex life!"
"Maybe we should not be talking about this here," Romeo's eyes were darting around nervously as he could see the couple of people who ran by them eye them weirdly. But of course he was ignored because he wasn't loud enough nor did the boys care enough to listen to his advice.
"Probably not as great as mine but sure," Natsu shrugged and Gray was now full on gawking at him in offense.
"What makes you think you have a better sex life than me?!"
"Bitch, I know so. You've walked in on us a couple of times, tell me I'm wrong." Natsu had a shit-eating grin on his face making Gray's face pop red in embarrassment and horror. Romeo could only dart his eyes back and forth between the two, eyebrows raised and highly invested in this.
"T—That doesn't mean you have better sex than me!" Gray was screeching like a little boy who just got told they weren't tall enough to hang around. "Juvia and I have plenty of good sex!"
"Why don't we ask and find out?"
"What? We are not calling Juvia—"
"No need. Hey Juvia!" Natsu's face turned into a wide grin as he started to wave his hands up in the air. Gray whipped his head over to where he was looking and the color drained from his face as he saw his lovely girlfriend jogging over to where they were. She looked so fucking good in those leggings and the turkey trot t-shirt and her hair in a pony tail. He couldn't wait to wrap his fist around those locks when he gets a chance—
"Juvia! Over here!" Natsu waved his hands at the woman who spotted them, beaming in joy.
"Natsu, don't."
"Don't what?" Natsu had an innocent smile to his lips.
Gray glared at him. "I'll fucking kill you."
"I'd like to see you try."
"Don't you fucking dare." Natsu's face gleamed with amusement, giving the seething ink-haired male a smug smirk. "I will end you and then I'll marry Lucy just to spite you and the kids you want so badly will call me daddy you fucking piece of shit."
"Fuck you!" Natsu nearly shouted, clearly heated over that. "Juvia—!"
"Natsu!" Gray lunged for him and Natsu was quicker to move aside, cackling evilly. "Get your fucking—"
"Juvia!"
"Natsu! Romeo, get him!" Gray looked at Romeo in a panic who had just simply moved aside for the two to try and brawl it out like usual. Romeo shrugged, offering him a sheepish smile as Gray fumed. "Natsu, I'll fucking kill you!"
"Hey, Juvia!" Natsu swung an arm around her shoulder as she approached, the blue-haired woman huffing slightly. He thrusted a cup at her, seeing how she gratefully accepted. "I didn't know you were doing the turkey trot."
"Yes," Juvia offered a wide smile. "I used to run a lot in high school so I figured I should but it might have been too soon," she let out a large sigh of disbelief. "I feel like my entire body is on fire."
"Don't overwork yourself," Gray scolded worryingly, coming over to run a hand down her back while she smiled.
"I didn't know you were going to be here. I was going to come meet you afterwards," She beamed as she leaned in to plant a kiss on his cheek. His cheeks bloomed crimson at the snickering Natsu and smiling Romeo.
"Hey, Juvia—"
"Natsu." Gray hissed but the rosy-haired frat ignored him completely.
"Do you think you and Gray have a good sex life compared to mine and Lucy's?"
There was a pregnant pause as Juvia's eyes widened and darted over to look at Gray who was red to the face. Romeo awkwardly kept his wide eyes elsewhere, sipping on his drink while Natsu had a wide shit-eating grin on his face.
"I'll kill you!" Gray screeched, lunging for the cackling male again as Natsu dodged and ran around the table. Romeo and Juvia stood idly by the drink table while the two older men chased one another, both of them sharing a flat look.
"Well, that is my cue to go," Juvia offered a polite smile at the younger DT brother. "If Gray asks, it's a no but if Natsu asks again," she turned to look over at the brothers who had managed to tumble to the ground before looking back at Romeo. "Tell him I one hundred percent think Lucy and him have a spicer sex life." She winked at the red-faced sophomore before she grabbed a water cup, drank it all in one gulp, and ran off to finish her race.
Romeo could only stand there in complete shock, his jaw slack and his cheeks dusted red.
Just what the fuck did Natsu and Lucy do that made it spicy?
—X—
Lucy was so glad that this position was not permanent and she was to graduate next semester because this job was not for the weak. She had no idea if Mirajane and Erza did it just for the fun of it or they genuinely enjoyed working around all this but she would like to say a huge fuck you to both gals for nominating her to this and forcing her to be the bad mama of everyone.
Even though they got the easiest position for Friendsgiving this year, that didn't mean planning was. She didn't even know why she got stuck into this position of navigating pledges on how to properly set up (how fucking hard is it to place tables and chairs together?!) and setting up the football field.
She had lost her shit more times than she would have liked and she had made two pledges cry (to be fair, it wasn't her fault, they shouldn't have been lounging around and drinking behind the bleachers) and to make everything fucking worse, they're calling her Mirajane 2.0 and or Erza 2.0.
And she knows that isn't a fucking compliment.
"Mommy," Lucy hated herself for turning at the sound of the title and she came face to face with one of the Delta Tail's pledges. His cheeks were slightly flushed as he came holding a bag of balloons. "Um, do you happen to know where the air pump is? And where do you want these balloons hung?"
Lucy let out a small sigh and the younger lad tensed up, eyes widening as he prepared himself for the screaming that would surely come from his mommy.
But instead, she gave him a pinched smile and spoke to him in more of a condensing tone (he'd rather much prefer that than getting screamed at). "Why don't you go check and see if Samuel has it since he was on balloon duty."
The freshman merely nodded and quickly rushed away so his luck didn't run dry and Lucy let her shoulder slump while a loud sigh came out of her mouth.
"Wow, I applaud you for not screaming at him." Levy came over while Lucy was busy pinching the bridge of her nose.
Not even turning to look at her best friend, Lucy let out a frustrated noise. "Tell me about it. I can see why Mira and Erza were so… unapproachable."
Levy let out a laugh as she came over to where she was, nudging her on the side to ease up the tension in her body. Lucy dropped her arms and gave the bluenette a thankful look, nudging her right back as the two stood on the giant football field to watch the scatter of pledges helping around.
Some of them were also at the Turkey Trot and others were helping their respected organizations get ready for the eventful day. But those who didn't have a single skill in their bodies to help cook were on decorating and preparation duty which meant they were to be setting up the football field and the Saber Tau house for their annual Friendsgiving banger.
The Delta Tail house was still trashed after their halloween bash and Saber Tau was second biggest when it came to homes in Greek life.
"Try to enjoy it, Lu, it's going to be our last."
"You mean mine considering you're staying to finish up your masters?" She quirked a brow at her friend, a small sly smile curling her lips. "Or should I say for other reasons entirely?"
Levy rolled her eyes but the pink that dusted her cheeks didn't do her justice. "Well, Gajeel is a plus side." She tried not to sound too excited about the idea of staying back in Magnolia because of said mechanic. "But I decided to do my masters before he and I became anything serious, anyways."
"Right," Lucy dragged the words out and she giggled while dodging Levy's small fists.
"Don't do that with me, what about you?"
"What about me?" The blonde asked, blinking stupidly at her huffing friend.
"What's your plan after graduation? Are you staying in Magnolia?"
Lucy shrugged her shoulders. "I guess that depends entirely on Natsu and what he wants to do."
"I didn't take you for someone to chase after a man, Lu," Levy teased and now it was Lucy's turn to be rolling her eyes.
"It's not chasing after him, it's supporting him. God knows that I don't have to work or need to but Natsu is going to want to try and support us in his own way so I think it would be best if I just followed and supported him in his way." Lucy could feel the soft smile curling on her lips as she thought of her fiery boyfriend. "And besides, we're going to get married and have plenty of babies together." She shrugged nonchalantly and Levy's jaw dropped.
"Excuse me," the blue one grabbed at her to turn her to look at her. "Why does it sound premeditated? Are you and Natsu—? Should I be—?"
"No!" Lucy held her hands up, face growing red. "No, no, Natsu and I are not—!" Her voice was growing shrill and high and her eyes darted around to see some of them glancing their direction. She lowered her voice and leaned into hiss at Levy. "We're not pregnant and we're not talking about stuff like, well," Lucy rolled her eyes as she thought about the many times Natsu asked her if he could impregnate her. "Yes, we have but," She ignored the way Levy's jaw dropped in disbelief. "We're not pregnant and we're not going to be popping kids out so soon!"
"But you've talked about it?"
"Yes, of course we have," Lucy scowled while fanning at her blush. "Have you and Gajeel not?"
It was Levy's turn to blush and she was gaping at her sorority sister in shock. "Um, I—I didn't think we're supposed to… we're not… it hasn't even been a year."
Lucy could feel her heart racing inside of her chest and while it made her nervous as hell to think about moving so fast in her relationship and in life, she knew that Natsu was the one and she didn't want to think about anyone else being her husband or the father of her kids for that matter.
"I don't think it really matters how long it has been," Lucy said softly, her body feeling warm at the thought of her man. "But how strong the connection is and… I like to think Natsu and I are pretty strong."
The smile she had on her face was warm and large, the love inside of her chest blooming tenfold at the thought of her loving boyfriend. She never thought she would have reached this level of gross but she didn't mind it when it came to her and Natsu. She was unashamed to admit that Natsu and her were madly in love.
Looking over at her best friend, Levy looked like she was in pretty deep thought herself. Considering her and Gajeel met around the same time her and Natsu did, she wouldn't be surprised Levy felt the same way for him like she did for Natsu. Though, they definitely showed it differently and while Gajeel would never admit out loud how obsessed and in love he is with Levy, she could see it from the way he looks at her and treats her.
"You think Gajeel will take us to Taco Bell again?" Lucy asked, grinning at the one who blinked stupidly. "Last year he did but only because we were begging and crying."
"I'll be completely honest, Lu, I have no memories of that night whatsoever."
The two were laughing out loud, leaning against one another as they needed the support while they were toppled over with laughter.
That was until one of the DT pledges came back, calling for mommy (which she really had to stop responding to!) and asked her where the fucking goddamn balloon pump was.
Again.
—X—
Nothing frustrated Natsu even more than being forced to backtrack against his plans because of a goddamn fucking idiot like Gray. Of course this motherfucker had to spike his lemonades (he only had three) and get wasted at Turkey Trot. And he didn't even have the decency to fucking share that slimy greedy good-for-nothing drunk.
Not only did he embarrass himself, he embarrassed him and Romeo and practically their entire fraternity because this drunk asshole decided it would be a great idea for his lightweight ass to chug three lemonades that were spiked with at least half with vodka and not even think that it was ten in the morning and none of them had anything to eat. And with his dumbass self being the lightweight he is, he fucking stumbled and fell on the table that knocked all the drinks and pitchers off and of course snapping the cheap shit in half.
Watching it all in real time made Natsu gawk in horror as his brother laid boneless on top of the table and runners watching in shock or worry.
It did create a loud noise and the runners weren't being completely discreet about the mess considering some of them either screamed or gasp loudly when Gray took the fall. He looked like one of those poorly drawn stick figures that had mysteriously died and with his limbs thrown around.
Romeo tried his best to help the drunktard up but not soon after did Gray begin to yak and it had turned into this whole thing where the head of the organization came over and started to glare at them disapprovingly.
It didn't help that Gray was also violently throwing up and making all sorts of noise and creating mayhem and Natsu for once felt like he could finally be in Lucy's shoes.
Because honestly, what the fuck is wrong with Gray. He just had to go and fucking do this dumb shit when today was supposed to be about fun and Friendsgiving and participating in this event like good little frat boys but now he was sure they were going to be ripped a new one.
And now not only did they have to hear this shit from the director, he was sure the dean would hear about this, Loke would most likely try to rip them a new one for this (fuck that pussy cat), and the worst one: Lucy. He didn't even want to know what she was going to do because this wasn't entirely his fault. He wasn't the one to get fucked up during a philanthropy event and then break a fucking table and throw up everywhere. That was all Gray.
"You know Lucy isn't going to care whose fault it is. We're all going to get chewed out for it."
"Romeo," Natsu let out a frustrated groan, his hands pressed to his face. "Shut the fuck up."
And now as they had tossed a shirtless Gray into the car (he had thrown up all over his), the passed out fraternity brother looked too blissful for Natsu's liking. He just wanted to strangle him for putting him in such a position and while normally he wouldn't care, they were out in public and doing this for a charity event that was definitely going to be reported back to the school and dean.
To make matters worse, they just got off probation.
Lucy was so going to fucking kill them.
"Remember how you asked how anyone could fuck up pouring liquid into cups?" He turned to look at Romeo who looked at him with pursed lips. "This is how."
He was hoping Lucy was a bit too occupied to even notice Gray passed out drunk and shirtless with throw up all over him by the time they make it back to MU. Friendsgiving was to start in less than an hour and he knew how busy everyone was to scramble to the football field so he was hoping he could have Gray snuck into the DT house, hose him down, and then throw on a shirt so he looked somewhat presentable.
But of course the universe has a way of saying a big FUCK YOU because normally he would be very excited to see Lucy waiting outside the DT house dressed in her adorable skirt and her thigh high boots he loves so much. And normally he would want to run right into her arms and pepper her in all sorts of kisses and love but the look on her face made him know instantly that she was not going to accept him with lovingly open arms.
Romeo placed a hand on his shoulder and leaned over towards him, offering an apologetic smile. "Good luck, bro."
"Why am I the one to get my ass chewed out for this fucking asshole's mistakes," Natsu groaned as his grip on the steering wheel tightening, driving slower than usual to not have to encounter Lucy's wrath just yet. "If I'm going down, you all are going down with me." He glared into the rearview mirror and caught some of his pledge's wide eyed stares. "Nab, you're in this, too."
"No way, Lucy actually likes me."
"Not if I tell her you were the one giving Gray shooters."
"But I wasn't!"
Pulling up to the DT house where his beautiful girlfriend stood with her foot tapping against the concrete and her face scrunched up in anger, Natsu could only shoot her back a sheepish grin before turning back to look at all the boys. "Alright, show time, boys. Time to kiss ass like you've never kissed ass before."
Everyone gave him all different types of expressions, the majority of them looking more nervous than anything.
He didn't even have a chance to really prepare as the door swung open and the heaviness of her energy came flying at them tenfold.
"Seriously? During Turkey Trot?"
"Hi, baby, I missed you!" Natsu flung his arms up in the air, climbing out of the car to try and throw himself at her but she moved to the side to jerk open the back door. Nab and the pledges all flinched at the door opening and seeing an angry blonde on the other side, especially when Gray was laying limply against their bodies.
"Get out the car." Lucy hissed, jerking her thumb behind her and the boys were scrambling to get out of the car.
"To put on the record, I had nothing to do with this, Lucy." Nab held his hand up to her as he slowly moved around her figure like an animal avoiding his predator.
Lucy merely flashed him a glare and a low growl and Nab was quick to hightail it out of there.
"Natsu, I gave you one job and that was to participate in the Turkey Trot."
"I did just that!"
"No, you did more than just that!" She snapped and she turned to her boyfriend who was giving her a baffled look. "I had the director of the Turkey Trot call me as soon as this happened! I am utterly embarrassed and ashamed! And not only that, the dean is going to find out and we're going to be thrown into a bigger mess!"
"It wasn't me who got wasted and threw up everywhere!" Natsu cried out, pointing at Gray who was being helped out of the vehicle. "That was all him!"
"I cannot believe you guys," Lucy let out a groan, pinching the bridge of her nose. "All you had to do was pour water into cups and all you had to do was be good boys for a couple hours but nooo, that's just asking for too damn much."
"I'm sorry, Lucy, we should have been better about this." Romeo said with a small apologetic smile to his face. "We didn't realize how many Gray were sneaking in."
The blonde sorority sister merely sighed, shaking her head back and forth while the pledges carried a very dead Gray into the house.
"And now that idiot is going to miss Friendsgiving."
"I'll have him there, don't worry." Natsu said and it only made her toss him a glare and huff. "I promise, baby, no more mistakes." He took a step towards her with open arms and a small smile in hopes she would accept him. When she didn't move away, he took the chance to come over and wrap his arms around her, pressing her into his chest. "I know how much you have going on, I'm sorry, I'll make sure everything else goes smoothly."
Lucy let out a sigh and he felt her melt into his arms, her body weight leaning into him which had him beaming. He planted a kiss on top of her head and gave her a wide grin.
"I'll help out, too, Lucy," Romeo gave her a smile and Lucy returned it.
"Thanks, guys." She looked up at Natsu who was still beaming. "Go and shower and see what your brothers need help carrying over to the field. We're supposed to meet in less than an hour."
Romeo and Natsu both saluted the blonde and she giggled at the similarities they both had.
"Aye sir!"

In the end, everything was worth it. Friendsgiving was yet another success where they were able to obtain the grand photo of everyone and then stuff their faces till people were sick. Drinks were passed around and as everyone became rowdy to kickstart their giant party tonight that would be hosted at Saber Tau, the very eventful and busy day had been forgotten about.
College students of all ages and other organizations all jammed packed into a large home with copious amounts of alcohol and loud booming music was the needed result for such a celebration.
And as Lucy lingered over in a corner with a drink in her hands and drunken hiccups erupting from her lips time to time, she found herself having fun and feeling accomplished.
She had successfully thrown a nice Friendsgiving with the help of her friends and the other organization presidents. Nobody had died or gotten hurt and everyone seemed to be having a grand old time. Even her own boyfriend who was the star of the party, getting nearly everyone to chant his name as he smashed beers left and right on his forehead.
While all Lucy wanted to do was get wasted and forget about such a hard day, she had ensured she would not be too drunk in case something else were to happen. She had to make sure her eyes were peeled, especially since Gray wanted to start that stupid shit this morning. Clearly she had her hands full when it came to the Delta Tail boys and if only Loke could step up to the plate could she have an easier time.
But with the majority of the rowdy boys (mainly Gray and Natsu) graduating in the next coming month, she knew Loke would have an easier time leading a pack of boys who aren't as crazy as the two idiots.
And in all honesty, she was beaten and she didn't blame her sisters who didn't want to come to the party or those who had left early.
She was about to be a part of that departing train because she desperately needed some sleep. And maybe some good dick as well. But seeing how plastered Natsu is, she didn't know how well that could go.
"I'm going back to the house, Natsu, you going to stay?"
"Hell no!" Natsu shouted over the music, his body jerking with his hiccups. "I wanna go home with you!" He said in a near whine and Lucy was giggling as he leaned over to her. "You look so goddamn sexy, Luce."
She planted a kiss on the corner of his mouth making him try and chase hers with his, a laugh erupting from her lips as he finally caught up with her. He tasted like beer and sin, a sultry smirk spreading across his face.
"You tryna fuck?"
"So romantic of you," she cooed as he planted a sloppy wet kiss on her cheek. "But only if you're not too drunk to."
"Nonsense, I can recite you the entire alphabet." He hiccuped and she rolled her eyes as she helped steady him.
"I hope you can, you're twenty three years old."
"Twenty three and packin'," he winked at her and she was laughing as the two squeezed their way through the crowd of partiers. He held her hand tight to ensure they wouldn't be separated and even through his drunken haze, he was well aware of where he was and who was with him. He didn't think he would ever forget who Lucy was or how she felt in his arms or how perfectly she fit against his body.
"You think we can get Gajeel to drive us to Taco Bell again?" Natsu asked, eyes gleaming with mischief and excitement. It only made Lucy laugh as the two walked down the street towards their respected homes, hands tangled together.
"Maybe. We're not as drunk as we were last year but I think Levy might be with Gajeel so we might have a higher chance."
Natsu whooped excitedly and she was laughing at the way he was cheering and chanting for cheesy burritos that would surely make them shit themselves when morning came.
But of course Taco Bell was forgotten about as soon as they had made it to the front door and Natsu was more than eager to push her against the door and stick his tongue down her throat. She was giggling and trying her best to unlock the door with a horny, drunk frat boy on her but successfully they were able to stumble in the almost too quiet sorority house.
Levy felt like her whole world was crumbling right before her eyes and there was nothing in this fucking shit world that could save her. She felt as if she was going to throw up everything she had eaten and drank for the last twenty four hours and to take matters into her own hands, possibly jump off the cliff to end her life. Maybe she could ask someone to run her over to make sure she really was dead in the end.
She'd like to think of herself as somewhat responsible and smart enough to navigate around this horrible world and she's lived twenty two years without dying or going through an almost death experience. Besides that one time Lucy and her finished a whole handle together freshman year and she thought she was actually going to die of alcohol poisoning but that was different.
And as she sat here with wide eyes, a pale face, and a tickle of a scream in her throat, Levy knew she was fucked and she was going to die.
It didn't take long for the scream to finally release from her throat and as she stood there with a horrified expression on her face and heard the chaos she had created outside, she could only yank at her hair to help ease the feeling she had brewing inside of her.
In a matter of seconds, the door was kicked down and Lucy came barreling in with a frying pan while Natsu had a whole lamp. The two looked as if they were caught in the middle of trying to do something with how Natsu had lipstick and glitter smudged all over his face and his usual messy hair sticking up in all the wrong places. He only had his socks and boxers on while Lucy came in with her own lipstick smudges and hair dishevel, crazy eyes and sporting a tank top and panties.
Levy could only stare at the two who looked more comical than scary with their lipstick smudged faces and underwear.
"What's going on here?! I thought you were in trouble!"
"I thought you were getting raped," Natsu said so casually which earn him a glare from his wife. "What? It's basically the same thing."
"How—?I—" Lucy growled before shaking her head and letting out a sigh. She turned back to look at her best friend who was staring at them both with wide eyes, ignoring her boyfriend who pouted. "Lev, what's going on?"
Levy could only continue staring at them like a deer in headlights.
"Why does she fucking look like that?" Natsu asked with his face scrunching up in distaste, a small hiccup following soon after. "I don't like it."
"Natsu," Lucy hissed before she dropped the frying pan and came over to where her friend looked frozen in fear. She placed a slow cautious hand on her shoulder, squeezing it gently. "Lev, talk to me. What's going on?"
Levy looked like she wanted to speak but everytime she moved her lips, nothing came out. Lucy looked at her with such confusion and worry, her small hands coming over to grab at her other shoulder gently.
"Levy? What's wrong? Talk to—"
"Holy fucking shit," Natsu's sudden gasp caught the blonde's attention and as Levy watched her best friend turn and walk over to where he was, she just waited for what was to come.
Lucy inhaled sharply and a hand came flying to her mouth, her eyes widening into the size of dinner plates as she looked right up at her boyfriend. Natsu and her stared at one another for a very long time, eyes wide and silence slicing through in waves of heat.
They both slowly turned their heads to look right at the college student who was still frozen in shock. It felt like they were all in a staring competition as they all stood there in complete deafening silence.
Nobody dared to say anything first or even move for that matter as the air became thick with tension. Nobody even knew what to say.
"Levy…" Lucy finally spoke after a long moment of silence. "Is this… what I think it is?"
Levy could only slowly nod, still in shock and still frozen in place.
Lucy slowly turned to stare right at Natsu who did the same, the two of them looking as if they were silently communicating through their minds. After a moment longer of silence and staring, Natsu finally turned back to look right at Levy.
"So… you're laying an egg?"
