Now that he knew Isabella Swan was Isobel's daughter, Alaric couldn't help but mentally point out similarities between the two.

To be honest, the similarities slapped him in the face.

They were always present, popping up at the most inconvenient times.

He couldn't help but stare, making the girl terribly angry and uncomfortable.

And she was not shy about letting him know it!

'Stop following us!' She hissed to him one day; it was a few days after the funeral of John and Jenna. It was in between classes last week of school.

She was standing between him and the door; she wore a red top and blue jeans that day.

'What?'

The confrontation caught him off guard for a moment, but he knew it's what Isobel would have done.

Both girls inherited from her.

'Stop following us! You're making both my grandmother and me uncomfortable!'

'A millennia-old vampire is lurki ng around, and you're worried about discomfort?!'

'He's not lurking around me!'

'You don't know that!'

'Even if he was, he needs another doppelganger, and I'm the only way he can get one!'

She raged and stormed until Alaric shouted, 'He could harm your grandmother.'

She was quiet for a while, and Alaric hoped this quelled her, but she muttered quietly yet defiantly, 'I'd kill myself before I let him hurt her or anyone else!'

He scoffed off her claims of sacrificial suicide and turned away. 'You're acting like a child!'

'Stop following us!'

Alaric didn't stop.

He couldn't stop, wouldn't stop; she had to know that, right?

Klaus was a threat to Elena and her, and once he found out that Elena was still alive-

She was an idiot!

She is a child!

A child, barely older than Jeremy!

She didn't know what was best for her; none of them did.

'Bella,' Gran said as she jumped up, 'how did it go with Elena?'

Furious tears spewed from my eyes. 'Elena Gilbert is the most selfish person in the world!' I stormed as I stomped up the stairs.

I understand that she's dealing with a lot right now with Stefan gone and her aunt and uncle dead, but she could be our last chance to get closure with Isobel.

Maybe she doesn't want it.

What?

Maybe she believes she's getting one over on John, Isobel, and perhaps even me.

What do you mean, Bella?

Maybe she's doing this to hurt them or you.

That's the most childish thing I've ever thought of.

Maybe, but Elena Gilbert is behaving like a child.

What should I do?

Go it alone, Bella.

Alone?

You offered her several chances; don't let her stubbornness keep you from the truth.

Youre right! I won't let her stand in my way!

She really needs to get over herself!

I know, right?! She acts as if she's the only person who lost someone!

Just ignore her; you lived 11 years without her, and you go on another 100 as well.

Right. I was right; I would tell Caroline and Gran I would see her.

After a bit of reading, I settled into bed.

'Bella? Bella.' called my mother's voice.

I turned to see my parents and grandmother smiling at me; they were in tears.

'What's wrong?'

Charlie put his hand on my shoulder. 'I'm proud of you, Bells.'

'Great, but that doesn't answer my question.'

'Like we'd miss your big day.' Renee sobbed.

'You're so beautiful.' Gran sniffled.

'Thanks, but why are you here? Mom and dad are dead.'

'Isabella, don't be some morbid.' Gran chided.

'Are we late?'

I turned to see John and Isobel walking up; Isobel was in tears.

Everyone looked super excited to be here, but I was confused, happy, but still confused.

'I don't understand,' both Isobel and John gave me hugs,' what's happening.'

'Your wedding day, silly.'

'Pardon?'

I looked at John and Charlie; they were wearing fancy suits. I glanced at my mothers and Gran; they were in blue dresses.

I looked at myself in a nearby mirror.

I was wearing Renee's wedding dress; it was an ivory sun dress with a long train and no shoes.

Charlie and Renee got married on a beach in California.

My hair was up in a curly bun with white flowers in it.

'You looked fantastic.' Isobel replied as Renee handed me a bouquet of sunflowers.

'We're glad you invited us.' John said, kissing my cheek.

'Of course.'

Who was I marrying? I wondered.

'Bella!' called Caroline's voice.

Caroline sauntered to us, wearing a yellow sundress and holding a bouquet of sunflowers; the dress matched her hair.

'Everyone is waiting!'

Isobel and John followed Caroline outside of ... I want to say tent. Both Renee and Gran told me that they were proud, then hurried after Caroline.

'Are you nervous?' Charlie asked as I locked my arm around his.

'Yes.'

We walked out and saw everyone I knew: Jessica, Lauren, Angela, Mike, Jacob, and the kids from the reservation. Angela and Jesse were dressed like Caroline, and so were Bonnie and Vicky. They were standing in front of everyone. I noticed Jeremy, wearing a tux, standing up front with Caroline.

Was I marrying Jeremy?

I saw Tyler, Matt, Mr. Saltzman, and... Damon standing behind Jeremy.

Why would they be at my wedding?

I saw Elena sitting beside her aunt Jenna, wearing a white sundress.

Why was she wearing white to my wedding?

'I'm giving you my only child,' Charlie grumbled as he unlinked our arms, 'Please take care of her.'

'Don't worry, sir,' Stefan took my arm, 'I'll keep her safe.'

Stefan.

Stefan was my groom.

That would explain why Elena was wearing white.

'You look so tasty,' a voice behind me cooed.

I turned to see Victoria wearing red.

'Stefan!' I turned to but...

But it was...

'What's the matter, love?'

I turned to my wedding party and guests and saw bodies.

Bodies and blood...

'Nik?!'

'Why so glum? It's our wedding day.'

Bella began thrashing in her bed, calling for someone named Nick, Victoria, and finally me.

I rushed to her window, opened it, and started to enter, but I couldn't.

Bella never invited me into her home.

'Bella,' I called.

'Stefan, they're coming!'

'Wake up!'

'Stefan, help me.'

'You have to wake up!'

'He's killing Gran, Stefan, help me.'

'Can I come in?'

'Help me!'

'Can I come in?'

'Come in! Help me!'

I leaped inside and shook her awake. 'Bella. Wake up, Bella! Bella!'

She looked around the room momentarily when her chocolate brown eyes settled on me. 'Stefan.'

The darkness made her hair seem almost nonexistent.

'Are you alright?' I asked.

'Are you?'

I could scarcely hear her tiny voice over the pounding of her heart.

'I'm surviving.'

'Same.' her heartbeat returned to its average rate. 'Where have you been?'

'I don't want to talk about it. What did you dream about?'

She shook her head. 'I don't want to talk about it right now.'

'Well, what were you trying to warn me about?'

'Huh?'

'Your playlist. You were trying to warn me about something what?'

'Vampires, I think it's one of your tomb vampires.'

'What?!'

'She calls herself Victoria. She's about Elena's height, has

red, almost orange hair, and green eyes, but she looks witchy but sounds golden curls and pink bubble gum.'

'Why didn't you tell me before?'

'I was faking it.'

'How do you know she's a vampire?'

'Isobel told me.'

'What was your dream about?'

'Where have you been?'

'This is the hybrid, Klaus.'

She turned red and looked away. ' We got married.'

'I'm sorry?'

She relayed her dream in one breath. When she finished, I asked, 'Would you have said yes?'

'What?'

'If I'd asked you to marry me, would you have said yes?'

She turned red. 'Would you break up with Elena for me?'

Who's Nik?'

'What?'

'You said I turned into someone named Nik; who is he?'

She grabbed her phone and showed her grandmother and Klaus at the grill. 'This is him.'

'Bella, this is Klaus.'

'What?'

'This is the hybrid, Klaus.'
