Here is another chapter. I seem to be on a roll with the writing and have enjoyed having the time to get some done. Luke will have more things to deal with and the identification of the female Jedi will be revealed. I will only say that one of the reviewers listed the name as a possibility in a review.
Luke had arrived back on Yavin 4 a couple hours ago and was facing another problem. When he got back, he asked Cilghal and Tionne to meet him in his office. Mara had gone and said she was moving some of her things to his room. Luke had been a little surprised, but he figured that she had got comfortable sleeping next to him.
"Tionne, how sure are we about this information?"
"It came right out of the computer files your father had stored in the vault. The folder it was found in was labeled 'Darth Sidious's Atrocities'. My guess that he kept these in order to overthrow Palpatine if he was ever in a position to do so."
"OK, I will contact Cracken and let him know I need him here. Hopefully he can get away soon. I rather get this taken care of before someone else finds out, because if my father had this, then it's possible there are other places it is located."
"The way your luck runs Luke it is a safe bet." joked Tionne.
"Cilghal, how is Master Windu doing?"
"He seems to be coping better than we could have hoped. He has been walking around and has spoken to several of the Jedi here. He has also taken part in some training with the younger students."
"Tionne, have we had any luck in finding out if he still has any family?"
"We have, he had a younger sister who has a family of her own. She will be taking a trip out here to see him. They have not seen each other since they were small. I explained that our order does not follow the way of the old order, and we encourage that our Jedi stay connected to their families."
"Good, hopefully this will help him. Medically how his he?"
"Since we put him in a healing trance and Bacca right away, we have found no medical issues. Master Tano and he have had several talks since he woke and that has helped a lot I believe."
"OK, I need to contact Cracken and my sister about what we have discovered. Also, several members Senators have requested permission to come here to see how things are going with the Jedi we recovered. I told Leia I would have to think on it.
Also, there are those who question our rights to hold the ship's crew and passengers. I told Leia that I would let one news crew come when we decide on the trial."
Tionne spoke up "Regardless of what others think, I believe you made the right decision. This may be the first step in your idea of making us independent."
"That may be, but we are not ready yet. I do have some good news on that front. My father left us some funds in hidden accounts. I have moved all the credits to a private account under my name for now.
Mara has spoken to Karrde and he will be getting some of the funds to help us get ships and other material to help us reach our goal. He also said he would look into where we could invest some of the funds, so we have a steady income."
"How much did we receive?" Tionne asked.
"Over a billion credits. I will call for a meeting of the Masters so we can discuss everything once things quiet down around here."
"That will go a long way in helping us." Cilghal replied.
"It will. When will you start with the other Jedi?"
"We are looking at reviving the other adult first. Then once she is well enough, we will start with the children. I only want to revive a couple of them at a time. Master Windu said that he most likely knows them so he has asked to be part of the team."
"I have no objections to that. I would like to talk with him at some point soon and Ashoka. I was hoping to already have spoken with him, but things keep coming up."
"I will inform him and Ashoka. I am sure they will wait to speak with you when you have a moment."
OK, that's all for now. Tionne, if you have time let's see what the holocrons we have recovered. I am hoping we can gain a lot of lost knowledge in different fields."
"I will get some of the older students to help. I believe it will help them a great deal."
"OK, I got to get to communications and contact Cracken. I will be on planet for a while it seems. So if you all need me for anything I will be around."
"Is Mara Jade staying?" ask Tionne.
"She is. I will be helping her with her training. She informed Karrde already that she was starting a new chapter in her life."
"I am happy for the two of you. I look forward to her being knighted. Though you could do it already. She like Tyria, she has been learning on her own for years. We could test her and see how far along she is. I have faith she knows enough to be knighted."
"I will talk with Mara tonight."
With that the two Jedi Masters left. Luke headed to communications. Once he arrived, he asked everyone to step out for a second before contacting General Cracken.
When the General answered Luke explained what was discovered and asked the General to search for any other records that could confirm the information. Cracken said he would, and he would head that way in a couple days.
Luke asked to see if the Ruling Council and Leia could come as well. He told Cracken beside the information he just gave him that they were about to start waking the rest of the Jedi. It would give them a chance to speak with Master Windu if he is willing and to see how they were going about waking them.
Cracken said he would speak with Leia and see if she could arrange everything. Luke thanked the General before disconnecting.
Luke notice there was still a few hours left in the day, so he decided to walk around and check on his students.

Luke as watching a class on lightsaber dueling. Master Windu was walking the young children thru some light saber forms that Luke was not familiar with. He watched as the old Jedi master explain the difference in the forms and how Jedi of old choose the form that best fit them. Luke wished he had this knowledge a long time ago. He continued to watch when he felt another walk up to him.
"Ashoka, how are you doing?"
"I am well. I hear you have been busy as of late."
"Yes, it seems when I take care of one problem two more appear. I was hoping to spend more time traveling around but that is on hold for the moment."
"When you get the chance, you need to come to Lothal."
"I would like that.
"I wish so much knowledge had not been lost. There is so much I could learn still from Master Windu and yourself."
"There is much we could also learn from you. You have done well considering all you had to over come to get where you are at. Your father and mother both would be proud of you."
"Thank you. How much longer are you staying. I know you probably have other things you need to attend too."
"Ezra and Sabine can handle our little corner of the galaxy. We don't have the number of problems you do. I would like to stay and help with the children when they are revived."
"I am glad you are staying. You and Master Windu will be a great help in them adjusting to a whole new galaxy."
"Come I will introduce you to Master Windu."
The two walked over to the class. When they arrived all the students paid their respects to Luke and asked when he will be returning to teaching. He explained that he would try to help with a class or two but that a great many things were going on at the moment that required his time. All the students were a little disappointed but understood. He asked them all about how their studies were going and encouraged them to have patience, that if they continued as they were that they will be great Jedi when they are older.
When Luke finished speaking with the students he asked to speak with Master Windu. They walked for a but with Ashoka walking with them.
"I hope you are enjoying your stay with us and are able to recover."
"I am, I will admit when I woke up, this is not what I would have expected to find."
"No, I imagine not. A great deal was lost because my father made a bad choice. Had he stood by you the galaxy would not have suffered as it had."
"No, it wouldn't have. A great deal was lost but from the lose a new galaxy has emerged. One that has come out better than the one before it. While you had to start from scratch to rebuild the order, you have done so in the way it should have been before.
I was raised in the temple and believed in the code. Over the last few days, I have had a chance to talk with your former students and your current ones. The ones from your first class have told me of what all happen. While you did have failures in the beginning you have learned from your mistakes and built a strong order even if your numbers are so few."
"Thank you. I try to learn from my mistakes and having my family and friends to help me along the way has helped a great deal."
"I was not sure about your rules on attachments, but I believe the good outweighs the possible bad. Ashoka tells me that they have the same views as you do."
"Yes, from the talks Ashoka and I have had. It seems we built our orders in the same ways. Though I believe that they have done somethings better then I have. I am hoping to get a chance to visit them and see if I can use some of their methods to help improve my academy."
"Thank you, Master Skywalker. While Ezra and Sabine did have my knowledge of how I was trained, and you did not. You still did a good job. I have been thinking that maybe I should have sought you out when we heard about your academy. If I had maybe I could have given you some ideas. For my lack of help I do apologize."
"No need Ashoka. Had you offered I might have leaned on you too much. I feel that things have happen as they should. Though now that we are working towards our two different orders communicating, I will not object to any knowledge you would like to give us. I can also pass on anything I have discovered to you as well."
"We don't have any problem with that. I might also suggest that we can have our students travel between the two academies. Give them a different point of view."
"I would like that. I can let you work that out with Tionne. She runs the academy more than I do." Luke turned to the old Jedi Master. "We would also like for you to stay if you want. The students seem to like your classes."
"I will think on it. I still don't know where I fit in anymore."
"Take your time. I have never required my former students to stay with the order. If they had interest outside of it, I have always been supportive."
Windu had to think about that. It was a different approach then the old order. For now, he felt like he would enjoy teaching. Then there were the children still frozen. He will need to be here to help them adjust.
For the next couple hours, the three Jedi Masters spoke about their different orders. They talked about how the two new ones different from the old. Ashoka and Windu did talk to Luke about how the old order taught its students and some of the lessons. Once it started to get close to the dinner hour, they all went their separate ways for the day. Over the next few days while Luke waited for the party from Coruscant to arrive the three had many more talks.
Luke as promised did teach a class or two. Windu compared Luke to Master Yoda. Stating that they both did well teaching the younglings, and the students look forward to when they got to be taught by them.

"So, I purchased all 100 Delta 7s. I think the guy I was dealing with doesn't know enough to tell us how many can be used."
"What are you thinking Karrde."
"I think we can scavenge enough parts from some of the worst-off fighters to increase the number of ships we can repair. Picking them up and transporting them all is not a problem. The problem comes from repairing that many without people finding out. "
"Yea just fixing and modifying one is easy. But dumping 100 fighters to be worked on well, I can see the problem. I am assuming you have a solution."
"I do, partnership between you and me. I need a place to repair my ships at a lower cost. I now contract out to different shipyards. If let's say a certain planet had a large temple that was not being used was turned into a repair station."
"Say like Yavin 4."
"Yes, you want to go independent, I am getting completely out of the smuggling business. I deal more in information now anyway, with some legitimate shipping to help pay my people."
"How would this work?"
"We both pay to build the facility. My people will maintain the place and do all the repairs and modifications needed to our ships. You will just have to pay parts and a small labor charge on any ship you need worked on.
You can also have some of your students come help as part of their training. They will need to learn how to do repairs in case they are stranded. That also cuts down on your labor cost. Any of my ships they work on they will earn some extra credits."
"I can support the idea. I will need to talk with Kam and Tionne about this since they mostly run the academy now, but I don't see them objecting. The Nogori are also asked to be able to move some of their people here. They have offered to act as security for the Jedi Temple and Acadamy. You might be able to make a deal with them to maintain their ships as well."
"I will draw up the paperwork and once we have the final deal, I'll use some of the money you sent me to start. Also, I have already contacted the shipyard that built your new ship to build 6 more like it. The only difference will be they won't have the data storage area. In the place were yours is will be the armory. So they will have two refreshers."
"That's good. Though it might not be a bad idea to have a small area of the cargo hold have some data banks. Just in case they are needed.
My plan is when I have to send Jedi out, I send a small team. These ships will be the teams transport and mobile base. I also plan on having two Delta 7s with each one."
Karrde could see where Luke was going with that. It was smart. Gave them just enough fire power to be able to hold off an attack till they could escape, or help arrived.
"Now that business is over, I was surprised I didn't see Mara when I came planet side."
"Some of the others felt Mara should be tested and have come to me about it. I agreed and finally talked her into it. So, she has been testing the last few days. Once she is done and passes to the other Masters standards she will be knighted."
"It's something I think she has always wanted but never voiced."
"No, she is never one to ask for herself. The ceremony will be in a couple days. You and the crew of the Wild Karrde should be there. You're her family too."
"We will. If that's all I will get started on this so we can get your fighters fixed up. I got a couple freighters picking them all up now and I will have them brought here but not unloaded till we have a secure place to do it."
"Thanks, I will talk with you later. Leia and the others should be here soon."

Cilghal and the New Republic medical team were ready to unfreeze the second adult Jedi. Master Windu was waiting off to the side with Master Tano.
"OK, lets start the process. As soon as she is unfrozen sedate here so I can put her in a healing trance. Once that is done, we will start running test to see what shape she is in."
The tech started the process. They all watched as the Jedi started to appear. As soon as she was free a nurse gave her a sedative.
"She is breathing and asleep. No injuries that I can see Master Cilghal."
One of the doctors spoke. "OK, lets get her to a scanner and have her checked."
While they were getting her ready to be moved one of the female nurses was looking for any ID on the Jedi. In the Pocket of the jacket, she wore a small holo cube. When she activated it a picture of a small girl with red gold hair was seen. The tech handed it to Cilghal who when saw it froze.
"I want you all to make sure there is nothing wrong with here. If I am right that is Lynn Jade. Mara Jade's mother."
Everyone looked at her and knew they needed to get this right. They took her to start the test. Cilghal left with Windu and Ashoka to Luke's office.
"I need to talk with Master Skywalker about this right away. If I am right he will need to be ready to comfort Mara."

Luke was going over some reports when the three Jedi Masters walked in. Cilghal set the data cube down on his desk and activated it. Luke picked it up and looked at the little girl in it before another picture appeared. This time there was an older girl standing next to here and then a third picture of the two girls and two adults.
"Cilghal is these pictures of Mara as a child and her family?"
"I believe so. We found this in the pocket of the female Jedi."
Luke just watched the cube cycle threw again. "Where is she now?"
"She is being checked now to see if there is any injuries or illnesses. I told them to make they did a thorough check of her when I realize who she might be."
"OK, I want to go see what they have found so far. We need to make sure she is who we believe before we tell Mara."
"I believe she is who you thank Master Skywalker, I didn't know here but I believe I have met her before on Corillian." Windu told them.
"I hope you both are right. Question is, what happen to the other child. Was she killed, made another hand or is she one of our froze children."
That caught the group off guard, none of them considered that possibility.
Just then there was a knock on the door before a smiling Kam walked in. "Looks like we will be having a ceremony in two days. Oh, and Kyp is in medical."
He then saw all to sober faces. "What happen now?"
Luke told him what they suspect then he asked. "Why is kyp in medical?"
"Well, you know how Mara really doesn't like him, but never says anything about it. Kyp still knew, well everyone does. Kyp was the one who wanted to test her on her dueling. Mara was doing good, not being over aggressive or anything. She was being patient waiting for the right moment. Kyp started taunting her."
Luke let out a load groan. "Why must he keep pushing her. She has kept her feelings of him from getting in the way while dealing with him."
"Well, you know Kyp. Sometimes he doesn't know when to leave well enough alone."
"How bad did she beat him."
"No missing limbs if that is what you are worried about."
"I wasn't but thanks for telling me anyway. OK, Cilghal, no Bacca or healing trance for Kyp. Let him heal the long way. Maybe this will finally get it through his thick skull to quite being an arrogant ass."
Cilgaul just smiled. "I'm sorry I missed it."
"Me too but we got other things to deal with at the moment so we can watch the recording of the test later." Windu looked at him in question. "When Tyria came to us, and we tested here. She asked to have the test recorded so she could send it to Kell, her husband and her friends in Wraith squadron. So, we thought it would be a good idea to record them all. Where is Mara?"
"Tyria is calming her down. Kyp went way overboard. I won't go into any details, but it got bad when she ignored him at first."
Luke just rubbed his face. "OK, I got to head to medical for another reason. I'll explain later. I need you to be ready to meet with the group coming in from Coruscant. They should be here soon. I will meet with them when I finish in medical"
"OK, I'll get Tionne to have the younger students start getting ready for the ceremony." With that he left.
Luke and Karrde are putting together a deal that will help them both. In the Hand of Thawn books, in the end Karrde worked a deal where he would ensure that information past between the Republic and Empire. So Karrde setting up something on Yavin and forming a closer Partership with the Jedi is not out of character. It will make things easier when Peace does happen. Which will be the next part of the story.
Lynn Jade is the female Jedi and Mara's mother, so good guess Nightwing 2013. I did not pick a character from Legends or Cannon because I don't know them well enough. Mace Wandu was easier since he did get some screen time in the movies.
If any of you had read the New Jedi Order series, you will know that Kyp and some that followed his way of thinking was arrogant. He was also not liked or trusted by a couple of the Jedi Masters. Mara being one of them Corran the other. So, I can see him saying the wrong thing to Mara. While she would try to do the right thing because Luke has faith in her, there would be a point where she let Kyp know he went too far. I won't be putting in what he said but he will have to face Luke's judgment on the way he acted during the test.
