This chapter will have a lot of dialogue in it. We will also get some Luke and Mara in it as well. Hope you all enjoy it. I'm not sure when I will get another chapter out for this story. I'm going to try to get some chapters out for some of my non-Star Wars stories next.

The four Jedi masters were in the room where Lynn Jade was being examined. They had been at it for about 2 hours when they finally finished.

"Master Cilghal, we got the results, and she seems healthy. The only thing we saw that was not expected was she is pregnant. The fetus seems to be alive, but we are unsure of its health."

"Thank you, Doctor Davis. I can see if I can determine is the baby is healthy."

Cighal put her hand over the womb and opened up with the force to see if she could feel how the baby was.

"She feels confused and scared. I have calmed her down and she is sleeping. I cannot tell if there are any medical issues with the baby. My best guess she is healthy."

"Is Lynn Jade well enough to wake up?" Master Windu asked.

"From what we can tell yes, she seems to be healthy. It will be better to wake her anyway because she will need to eat and drink fluids since she is pregnant." Cilghal stated.

"OK, lets wake her up. I ask that only Doctor Davis, Masters Windu, Tano, Cilghal and I remain."

Everyone else left. They needed to start getting ready to unfreeze the children. Once everyone was gone Doctor Davis gave Lynn Jade a drug to wake her up. They watched as she took a breath before sitting up in a panic.

Cilghal sent her smoothing feelings through the force. "Relax you are safe. No one here will hurt you or your unborn child."

Lynn looked around seeing those who remain. See most of them with lightsabers she started to worry.

"Where am I. Where are my children?" She started to get up set again so Doctor Davis gave her something to help keep her calm.

Master Windu walked over. "You are safe on Yavin 4. Do you know who I am?"

She nodded. "Yes Master Windu, you were part of the Jedi Council before the fall. I thought you were dead."

"No frozen in carbonite like you. I can tell you my story later. What is your name?"

"Lynn Jade, I was a Corillian Jedi Master. I was in hiding with my husband before he was killed and my two daughters. What has happened to them?"

Luke walked over and stood by Windu. "I am Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. We found you, Master Windu and 8 children frozen in carbonite on Mustafar. What are your daughter's names?"

"Lacey and Mara. Lacey is two years older than Mara. They were 7 and 5 when we were found."

"We are not sure what happen to Lacey, I'm sorry but as for Mara. She is alive and doing well. She is here, but she doesn't know that you are the female Jedi frozen yet. I wanted to make sure before we told her."

"Mara is here, can I see my baby girl?"

Windu spoke. "Master Jade, before we let her know, you should know that you have been frozen for years. Mara is now 31. You have been frozen for 26 years."

They watched as Lynn Jade broke down and cried. Doctor Davis gave her something so she could sleep. He then hooked her up to an IV so they could give her some fluids and nourishment. Luke and the others left so Cilghal and Doctor Davis could look after her.

"I need to go see Mara. I'm not sure how she will take all this. She has resign herself to never knowing what happen. Now we have the answers to some of the questions, but we still don't know what happen to her sister."

Luke found Mara and Tyria walking around the grounds of the temple. They both look happy and were laughing. When they saw him coming, they stopped and waited on him.

"Luke, I did it."

"I knew you would. While I don't know what happen, Kam did say you did well in not reacting to Kyp. I will review the video later with I'm sure Cilghal. She said she was sorry not to see you beat up Kyp. So, congratulations. The ceremony is planned for two days from now."

"Thanks, I owe you. If it was not for you, I would not have got the chance."

"You did it on your own. Like Tyria here, you worked hard when you had the chance to achieve something great. I am proud of you.

Now for some other news. We unfroze the other adult Jedi. The female. We know who she is now. Mara it's your mother."

Mara almost collapsed but Tyria caught her. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, they found a holo cube on here that had pictures of her family. When Cilghal saw it, she brought it to me. I recognized you, even if you were around 3 or 4 when the picture was taken.

We ran test on her for two hours to see if she had any medical issues we needed to treat. She was health as can be for someone frozen for so long.

Mara she was pregnant when she was frozen." Seeing Mara's worry. "The baby girl seems to be healthy. I'm sure more tests will need to be given to make sure."

"Can I see her?"

"Yes, but Doctor Davis put her back to sleep. She was a little upset when we informed her of how long she had been frozen. There is also another thing that up set her. You had an older sister, named Lacey."

Mara was crying by now with Tyria hugging her friend. Tyria turned to Luke. Master, could one of the children be Lacey?"

"We don't know. We had to explain to Master Jade that we didn't know what happen to here."

"Is there a chance Luke?" asked an upset Mara.

Taking Mara's hands in his. "There always is a chance. Mara, I wish I could tell you yes she is one of them but."

"I know you can't. Thanks, Farmboy for coming and telling me. I would like to go see my mother."

"Come on, I'll take you. Then unfortunately I got to go see my sister and Cracken about another issue."

Luke was back in his office waiting on his sister, Cracken and Fey'lya. He had sent one of the students to ask them all to come to his office and meet with him.

When they arrived, he indicated they should sit. "Thank you for coming. On my return to Yavin, Tionne showed me a folder from the data we got from the Jedi Vault on Mustafar. It was labeled 'Darth Sidious's Atrocities'. I of course notified you Leia and General Cracken."

Fey'lya spoke before Luke could continue. "You found a document about Caamas."

An angry Leia turned to Fey'lya. "You knew."

"Leia, let him speak." commanded Luke.

A remorseful Fey'lya replied. "Yes, we knew Bothans were involved but not who. The Clan Leaders have long sought this information."

Cracken then spoke. "Master Skywalker asked me to check our copy of the data to verify the information. We couldn't find anything with the main data we found but did find it with our copy of the data from the Jedi vault. The question now is what do we do."

"Senator, could any of them still be alive?"

"Yes, Bothan's life span is much longer than humans, so it is possible. If the names are given in the document, then I can see if any are still alive. Then the Bothan Clan leaders will want to dispense justice."

"Senator if they are still alive you cannot coverup this up. I know you want to take care of this quietly." Leia argued.

"Leia is right. If we found a copy, who is to say another does not exist. If it exists it will turn up."

"What would you suggest we do, just hand over our citizens."

Trying to stop an argument from starting between Fey'lya and Leia. "I have asked Corran Horn to contact Senator A'kla. Both are friends. Corran is bringing him here on the Pulsar Skate. He has been informed of why I asked him here."

Fey'lya nodded, "He is fair. Also, if any should have a say it is the Cassas people."

"So, we table this till he arrives." Leia suggested.

"That would be a good idea, it will also let those upset cool off." Luke looked at Leia when saying this. "I do have some other news. We woke up the other adult today."

"Master Skywalker, has this one gone as well as the other?" Ask Fey'lya

"She is healthy. Healthier than Master Windu. There were some issues that had her upset when we talked with her. So, she is sleeping at the moment."

"What happen when you spoke to her?" Leia asked.

"When she was captured her husband had already been killed. She had two young daughters with her though. We know what happen to one of them, the younger of the two but not the oldest. We also learned she is pregnant."

"And the Baby?" Cracken asked.

"Healthy we believe. More tests will have to be run."

"What of the child you know of?" Fey'lya asked.

"She took her trials to become a Jedi and completed them today. The Corillian Jedi Master we unfroze was Master Lynn Jade. Her youngest daughter is Jedi Mara Jade."

They all sat there in shock. Fey'lya spoke "I may never have fully trusted Mara Jade but even I can be happy for her. Family is important and I am aware of her history as many that sit on the Ruling Council. I assume you have informed her."

"Just before our meeting. She is with her mother now."

"What of the children?" asked Leia.

"We are getting ready to start unfreezing them now. We will probably wait a couple days to start."

"Admiral, we have a report that Leia Solo and the Ruling Council of the New Republic are on Yavin 4 at the moment."

Pallaeon looked up from his desk. "What?"

"The ship we have in the Yavin system just reported that Home One and an escort fleet just arrived over Yavin 4. I received a report that the Ruling Council and Leia Solo all boarded a shuttle for Home One a couple days before that. There is also a report the Solo took a leave of absents as Chief of State and Ponc Garvisom has taken her place. Reason for that is unknown."

"How reliable is this information?"

"Very Admiral. There have been no announcements, but several people have commented on it."

"Do we know why they are on Yavin 4?"

"No best guess is either the frozen Jedi or the news crew being held."

"I would say the Jedi. The council probably wants to see for themselves what is going on."

"OK, Keep monitoring Yavin 4."

Luke went to medical to retrieve Mara so she could eat and get some sleep. He knew if he didn't, she would sit there a night. He walked in the room to find Mara sitting in a chair holding her mother's hand. She looked up as he walked in.

"Mara, you need to eat and get some sleep."

"I can see some similarities between the two of us. Same mouth and nose. Then there is the hair."

"I saw them too. Now come on, you need to eat and sleep."

She got up and took Luke's hand as he led her to his quarters where he had a meal ready for them. They sat down to eat. Luke watched as Mara picked at her food.

"Mara, what's wrong?"

"What if she hates me because of all I've have done?"

Luke got up from his chair and kneeled down beside Mara. "Mara, she will not hate you. Have I ever hated you because of what you have done?"

"No, but.."

"No buts. She is your mother, and she will understand. She will probably blame herself for not protecting you better."

"It's not her fault, I'm sure she did all she could."

"And it is not yours. You never had a choice."

"I know, but at times."

"I know, we all have things we wish we could have done different. We just have to carry on and try to do better."

"Is this more of your Jedi wisdom?"

"No Aunt Beru."

She just smiled at him before giving him a kiss. They finished eating than got ready for bed. When they crawled under the covers, Mara curled up to Luke. They spent the next hour speaking of Mara's trials before falling asleep.

The next morning Luke and Mara joined everyone who lived at the temple in the mess hall for breakfast. Several Jedi and students came up and congratulated Mara on her trials. When Breakfast was finished Luke walked her to medical and her mother's room before heading to his office.

When he arrived Cilghal, Tionne and Kam were waiting on him. We they were all seated Tionne played the recording of the duel between Mara and Kyp. Luke stayed calm but he would have to deal with this. Kyp was out of line.

Luke had wanted to promote him to master but it seemed he was not ready. Tionne and Kam had weighed in on the decision. Kyp was a master of the force and was very strong, but he was also very arrogant. He showed he was not ready during the duel.

"There is no way we can promoted him, Luke. His arrogances will rub off on the younger students if we do." Tionne pointed out.

"I agree Luke. He is not ready. It's this attitude, that some do not like him. It reminds some of us that were in your first class of what he did all those years ago." Kam stated.

"OK, I will speak to him. I need to head back to medical to check on Mara."

All three masters rose and left. Luke let out a deep sigh and then headed out himself.

Mara was sitting in the same spot she was last night before Luke came and got her. She didn't know how she got so lucky to have him in her life, but she was thankful. She was brought out of her thoughts by movement on the bed.

Lynn Jade let out a groan as she started to wake. It took her a minute to remember what she had just learned. She started to cry when someone took her hand.

"Relax, everything will be OK."

Lynn turned to see a redheaded young woman sitting beside her bed. One with emerald eyes like hers. "Mara"

"Yes, I am your daughter Mara."

"You have gotten so big."

"Yes."

"I'm sorry."

"You have nothing to be sorry for. I don't remember anything from my time with you but I would like to hear about it."

"You don't remember?"

"No, I got taken to Coruscant and raised in the Imperial Palace. If I had any memories beforehand, they were erased or blocked. I guess I should tell you my story but know none of this is your fault."

Mara went on to tell of her childhood or the lack of. She talked about her training but didn't go into any details. She explained some of the jobs Palatine had her do.

"There was only one job I failed at, and I am grateful for it every day. When I was 19. I was ordered to kill Luke. I was not able to and Palpatine was angry about it.

I hated Luke for years before he literally dropped into my lap. He has been a true friend to me ever sense, even if I was not nice to him at times."

She went on to tell the tale of her and Luke's friendship. When she finished, she saw her mother smiling at her.

"It seems you have had a strange courtship. I am happy for you. To find happiness after so much pain and sorrow."

"I am happy. Truely happy for the first time in my life."

"I am proud of you Mara; you have had a rough life but have come out on top."

Mara and her mother hugged as the two cried. That is how Luke found them when he came to check on Mara.

Luke walked into Kyp's room and saw him in pain. When Kyp heard him enter he turned and asked.

"Can you see if they will give me something for the pain?"

Luke stepped out and got him a shot to help Kyp with the pain. "Thanks Luke."

Luke sat down and looked at his one-time student. "I watched the video, so I know what happen. I don't want to hear any excuses. What you did was wrong. This was not just some duel for fun. This was a duel to test Mara, to see if she was ready to be awarded the rank of Jedi.

What you didn't know was she was not the only one being tested. You were as well. You were tested to see if you were ready to be promoted to Jedi master."

"What, why was I not told."

"Why should we tell you. This was a test to see how you would handle yourself while working with student."

"Yes, a student that never hid the fact that she hated me and did not think I should be here. Who is she to judge me?"

"Mara never hated you." Luke raised his hand when Kyp started to interrupt. "She didn't, did she like you, no. Part of it was what happen when you both were students here together. A lot of it is your arrogances.

She is not the only one to feel this way. While she may not like you, she never spoke out against you being here. She only complained about your attitude.

Regardless of your attitude towards others and your arrogates she was still willing to work with you on Mustafar. She was even the one that suggested bringing you in on the mission.

Had you conducted yourself as you should have at Mara's trials, we would have been promoting you to Master tomorrow. Kyp you are a good man and very talented in the force. I am glad to have you as one of my knights and look forward to you being a Master. You need to look at yourself first and think about your actions.

Han came with Leia and the rest of the Ruling Council. I will send him your way. Talk with him. See what he has to say."

Kyp was angry at first, but the longer Luke talked the more he realized that there was some truth to what he said.

"I will meditate on what you said. I got plenty of time since Cilghal said no Bacco or healing trance will be allowed. Also send Han this way. I would like to speak with him."

Luke stood in the door for a minute before backing out and shutting the door. He headed to Cighal's office to see when they wanted to start with the children. When he got there she was not in her office. He asked one of the Jedi students that was studying to be a healer where she was to be told she was with the frozen Jedi children.

Luke walked to the room they were keepng them to see that she and Doctor Davis and his team were preping one of the children for unfreeing.

"Master Cighal."

"Master Skywaker, I have been looking over the children. While its hard to tell, we think this could be Lacey. The child looks about the right age. While they are all human, we think only 3 are female. She is the youngest."

"You said it is hard to tell." asked Luke

"The other two female children have already started to develope, while Lacey would be too young. We are sure that the other 5 are male."

"So you plan to unfreeze her next?"

"Yes, We plan on unfreezing one other of the children at the same time."

"When?"

"We are waiting on Master Tano and Windu. Master Tano is speaking with the Lothal Order right now. We will also be doing this in the room we have had built with an observation room. This way the Senators will be able to see how we are handling this. I only ask that you speak to them first so that they do not cause any issues."

"I will. I will speak to them when I leave here and take them to the observation room."

"Thank you. Will you be telling Mara and her mother?"

"Yes, they have a right to know but I will make sure they understand we can't promise anything."

Luke watched as they worked for a few more minutes before heading off to complete his task.

Mara has got to speak with her mother and Mara learned her fears were unfounded that Luke was right again, which you know she hated.

Luke and Kyp had a long talk that hopefully will help Kyp realize that he is wrong in the way he acts at times. Hopefully this will keep another Jedi from going down the same path as he did.

Fey'lya now knows that others have discover what the clan leaders knew. I showed Fey'lya as remorseful because the Bothan Clan leaders had no idea who had done it and they themselves neve approved of what those Bothans did.

Will the child they are about to unfreeze be Mara's lost older sister who now would be a physically younger sister. I will reveal that next chapter.
