"Let's go on a picnic date together!" Komaru suddenly declares out of nowhere, her eyes shining so much brighter than the sun as she takes Jill's hands in her own.

Jill can only blink at that, her mind still processing it all. She's only barely managed to catch up with that new information her brain got for her, just enough for her to say, "Huh? You want to do what now?"

Saying that out loud now, Jill still can't believe what she's heard just now. Where and why and how did Komaru get the idea of a picnic date from? And not only that, but also do that picnic date with her too? Did she get that from one of Ms. Gloomy's novels or something?

Komaru then gives her a look, like she knows exactly what's going on in her mind right now. "Come on, it'll be fun! Besides, I want to try it and see what it's like, even if it's just this once. So, Jill, pleeaaaase?" And then she looks at her again, with really big puppy dog eyes.

Ridiculously huge puppy dog eyes.

Jill may have been a murderous fiend for all her life, goddamn, Komaru just had to hit her right where it hurts the most. There is no way even someone like her can say no to this now, not without feeling like she's committed the worst thing ever after.

"Okay, okay, okay, I'll do it!" Jill puts her hands up.

And just like that, it's like a switch got flipped.

Komaru's eyes brighten up even more, and she's happily bouncing over the place while kissing her in the cheek again and again. "Aww, thanks, Jill! I promise you won't regret it!"

Oh well.

Besides, there's no harm in trying it just this once.

Jill may not be as much of a shut-in as her other, dull, boring, and huge-ass killjoy self is, but lord from heaven above, this sunlight is so damned blinding! If this is what Ms. Gloomy had to go through with every single day, then it's no wonder she keeps wanting to stay in that cave she calls her room all day long!

The only reason why she hasn't run back inside is because she just had to love that dork too much, just like how Ms. Gloomy loves that same dork too much too. Curse her for making her have the same feelings as she does too, damn it!

"Come on, Jill!" Komaru calls out to her, sounding as sickeningly sweet and adorable as she always is. "I've found a good spot here!"

She isn't even able to say something witty to that. She doesn't get the time to do so even if she really wanted to, as Komaru quickly runs out of there, just like a squirrel on crack would, but Komaru is somehow even faster than that.

Keyword, somehow.

It's actually kinda impressive to see.

In like less than seconds or even less than that, Komaru has already gone off to claim that spot for themselves. She's already laid the picnic blanket thing down on the grass. And then, after that, she takes a seat and starts waving at her, while patting down the spot next to her.

It'd be rude to decline that obvious invitation to sit down with her, and Jill has standards.

Which now leads her to here.

Sitting down right next to Komaru on the picnic blanket, and now Komaru's hand-feeding her some sandwiches too. Which Jill just eagerly took all of that in her mouth like she's some eager baby animal getting lots of tasty treats.

Also, it turns out that Komaru is right. This is a pretty good spot, and the sun isn't so goddamned obnoxiously bright here, so that's a plus too. And the weather's pretty decent here too; it's windy enough to cool them up a bit, but not so much it freezes them up.

And now here she is, letting herself lie down on Komaru's lap. It'll probably give her indigestion later, but screw it, who doesn't like getting pampered by their girlfriend like this?

Though, now that she's thinking about it...

Isn't it so funny that someone so murderous like her would participate in this kind of ridiculously average, normal activity that ridiculously average, normal people do? Who would've thought that something like this would happen? Completely ridiculous thing to even imagine, isn't it?

Though, Jill supposes this isn't a bad thing.

It does...feel nice.
