Manic and Scourge prepared for their fight, one more prepared than another.
"I never expected the pleasure of taking you down personally." Manic threatened, bringing up Sonic's feud with the scarred hedgehog.
"You lack any form of discipline." Scourge shot back. He crossed his arms, all but his head pointed away.
"You'll be very disciplined by the time I'm done." Manic sighed and cracked his next. "Put your money where that mouth is."
"Very well." The two staged up and Soar began announcing.
"Fighters ready? ENGAGE!" He backed away and allowed the surrogate rivals to begin.
Quickly, Manic took the offense. He ran a series of jabs to Scourge's chest and shoulders to try to disable him. Facing the pain, Scourge grabbed his neck and jumped to strike his knee into Manic's chest.
Suddenly winded, Manic called for Amy. She took her hammer and walked menacingly toward Scourge. He missed a dropkick on Amy and was struck down midair. Hearing Scourge scream was all it took for Manic to get up on the fourth count.
Scourge waved for Honey to come on scene. Although unable to fight with Amy, Manic stood beside her during the girls' impromptu fencing match. A well-timed strike to Amy's neck sent her to the sideline. Manic kicked Honey square in the face before she could strike again.
Scourge recovered after nearly being eliminated. He ran towards Manic and slid, kicking sand into his eyes after he fell. Manic waved Amy in, but immediately met the same fate.
Manic quickly rolled over and stood up. He charged at Scourge, repeating his last second slide. Scourge jumped when he saw this and stomped down on Manic's midsection as he slid by. He still managed to recover only to see Scourge charge him again. Manic grabbed his face and headbutted him. Scourge fell over and took Manic with him. Neither got up.
"…Ten! Draw game." Soar announced. "Both teams advance to their last member. The fourth and final round will be Sonia against Fiona."
The hedgehogs dragged Manic off Scourge, who Knuckles picked up. All three combatants waited with their team for the filming of the final round.
"The ladies are preparing for the main event, and we'll be right back!"
