A big family gets even bigger

Chapter One: Lori and her sisters learn they're getting step-sisters and a step-brother

Lori Loud was the oldest of the five daughters of Lynn Loud Sr. and his late wife Ruth. With Ruth's passing a few years ago, Lori had to more or less be the leading female authority figure in her family, a task that became more challenging when Lynn Sr. was able to achieve his dream and open his own restaurant, which ate into Lori's free time as she had to watch her younger sisters Luan, Lynn Jr., Lola, and Lisa more.

Luckily for Lori, her Bobby Boo-Boo Bear was frequently available. Lori was concerned when she heard that Bobby's family, which was himself, his mom and his little sister Ronnie Anne, might have been moving to Great Lakes City. But rather than the Santiagos moving to Great Lakes City, Bobby's grandparents who lived there moved to Royal Woods instead. That meant that Lori wasn't going to be away from her Boo-Boo Bear.

Granted, when Lori heard from Bobby WHY his grandparents decided to move from where they lived in Great Lakes City to Royal Woods where Bobby's family and Lori's family lived, Lori not only was aghast at what she heard Bobby's grandparents had gone through, she immediately asked why the rest of Bobby's family who lives in Great Lakes City didn't come along as well. Bobby said that his aunt and uncle were both confident that they could handle things in Great Lakes City.

Well Bobby's grandparents apparently didn't share that confidence. It's why they moved here to Royal Woods, where Bobby's grandfather reopened his bodega store which proved to be quite the hit in Royal Woods, forcing other similar stores such as Flip's to have to scramble to try to keep up with the wildfire popularity of Bobby's grandfather's store, where Bobby has had his most steady job to this day.

Speaking of Bobby, he was over right now at the Loud family house, and of course Lori was excited to have her Boo-Boo Bear over. Lori came down from her bedroom up on the second floor because she had to grab her phone, but she saw to her mild annoyance that Lisa was sitting next to Bobby on the sofa in the living room. "Uggh," Lori said, "Lisa, please quit annoying Bobby! He didn't come over just for you to bother him!"

"Heh heh, relax babe," Bobby spoke up, "Your little sister was just being sweet is all. She reminds me of Ronnie Anne when she was younger."

Turning to look at Lori, Lisa said, "Your boyfriend is the closest thing that I have to having a big brother. Can you honestly blame me for wanting to spend time with him?"

Lori rolled her eyes at that; Lisa had come to view Bobby as a big brother due to two reasons. One, Lisa at four years of age, getting close to five, is the baby of the bunch among the five Loud sisters, and two, there is no Loud brother period, not even a younger one for Lisa to be a big sister to. There is no doubt that Lisa is at hyper-genius level, but she's STILL a kindergarten age girl. There's a very big difference between being smart and being mature.

Lola had also occasionally dragged Bobby into doing things a big brother would do for a little sister, but far more rarely, and it's always some sort of playtime thing, usually with Lola being a princess and Bobby being either a prince or a knight. At least Lola got the idea that Bobby comes over for Lori and not for any other Loud sister.

Sighing, Lori said, "Anyway Bobby, I need to take my sisters over to our dad's restaurant because he wants to talk to us about something important. I literally suspect that it'll be about that Rita woman that he's engaged to, maybe they decided to move up the date of the wedding."

"Oh, you want I should drive you girls over?" Bobby half asked half offered.

"I'd ask to sit in Bobby's lap, but then I remember that it isn't a safe place in a car for a child of my size to be in," Lisa remarked.

"Lisa, you'll probably sit in Luan's lap in the backseat," Lori replied.

"If that gag flower of hers squirts me, I'm going to secretly rig it to fall apart the next time Luan tries to use it," Lisa said flatly.

Lori couldn't blame Lisa for saying that, Luan's pranks could get a bit haywire sometimes. Lori then let out a loud, "EVERYONE GET IN HERE NOW! WE'RE GOING TO DAD'S RESTAURANT!" Within a few moments, Luan, Lynn, and Lola all came from within the house and over to where Lori was standing in the living room.

"Why'd you have to be so loud?" Lola complained.

"Dad wants to talk to us about something very important at his restaurant," Lori said, "I suspect it has something to do with that Rita woman he's literally going to marry."

"You mean that woman who'll become our step-mom?" Lynn replied, "What kind of a lady is she?"

"I literally have no clue," Lori began, "But there's a few things I need to go over with all of you before we go. First off, no pranks or jokes or anything like that. Second off, no sports or being competitive like that. Third off, no spoiled bratty behavior. Fourth of, no science." When Lori's younger sisters all cried out in complaint, Lori shot back, "Girls, this is serious! We may potentially meet the lady who will become our step-mom! We literally can't afford to screw up, especially as this means a lot for dad! So let's hold back on ourselves at least until our step-mom is used to us, alright?"

"I just hope she's not a wicked step-mom," Lola said, "Those are super common in fairy tales."

Rolling her eyes, Lori said, "This is real life, I doubt Rita is going to be wicked." Once everyone was ready, Lori and Bobby led them out of the house, locked up behind them, then everyone piled into Bobby's car and took off for Lynn Sr.'s restaurant.

The Loud sisters had no idea of the surprise in store for them.

Later over at Lynn's Table, the restaurant owned and operated by Lynn Sr., Lori and her sisters walked in with Bobby. "Remember girls," Lori said to her younger sisters, "If we do end up meeting our future step-mom, you all need to be on your best behavior."

"You went an entire sentence without saying the word literally," Luan replied with an amused smirk, "That is literally a new record!"

"Do not test me, Luan," Lori scowled, "I just don't want dad to be-"

"Hey babe, it's Aggro's girlfriend's mom," Bobby cut in, pointing to a table were a lone woman was seated, eating lunch.

The woman was blonde haired, wore a red long sleeved blouse and brown pants, and black slip on shoes. The lunch that the woman was eating looked rather big, but then again the woman herself was wide and round, easily clocking in at over a quarter-ton. She was bar none the fattest woman that any of the Loud sisters had ever seen.

"OMG, that really is Mrs. Alverson!" Lori said, a hint of amused excitement in her tone as she led her sisters and Bobby over to where the large woman was having her large meal.

When the group reached the table, the large woman sensed that she had visitors so she looked up and was delighted to see two familiar faces. "Oh, Lori and Bobby!" the woman greeted, "I wasn't expecting to see you two here!"

"I wasn't expecting to see you here either, Mrs. Alverson," Lori replied.

Looking up at Lori, Lola said, "Hey Lori, you know this woman?"

Gesturing to the woman, Lori said to her sisters, "You girls know how I talk about by best friend at Royal Woods High, Leni Alverson? This is Leni's mom."

"I bet she must be the restaurant's best customer," Luan said, "If you know what I mean."

"Lemme guess, young lady," the now identified Mrs. Alverson said dryly, "That was a comment about my weight."

"How is your chair even supporting your weight?" Lola asked. Running around to look, Lola said, "Wait! She's using two chairs!"

"Luan, Lola, I will literally turn the both of you into human pretzels!" Lori scolded, "The both of you apologize to Mrs. Alverson right now!"

As Lola came back to where her sisters and Bobby were waiting, the Loud sisters and Bobby were surprised when Lynn Sr. came walking out from the kitchen, carrying a plate with a dessert item on it. He sat it down at Mrs. Alverson's table while saying, "Here you go Rita, a sweet for my swee-"

"Dad, you know Mrs. Alverson?" Lori spoke up, making Lynn Sr. turn and see his daughters and Bobby were all there.

"Oh, girls!" Lynn Sr. said, "Bobby too, but I guess he drove you here. And before you ask, yes I do know her." Gesturing to Mrs. Alverson, Lynn Sr. said, "Girls, this is Rita, the woman who is going to become your step-mom later this summer."

"These are your daughters you told me about, Lynn?" Mrs. Alverson, or rather Rita, spoke up, "Huh, who would have guessed? Oh, by the way and with all due respect, the one in the white sleeveless top and yellow skirt and the one in the pink dress both made rather rude remarks about my weight."

"Luan, Lola, both of you apologize to her now," Lynn Sr. said firmly.

When Lori rarely fails to bring her sisters in line, Lynn Sr. can do the job. Both Luan and Lola meekly apologized to their future step-mom. "Wait, I literally just realized something," Lori began.

Looking curious, Rita asked, "What is it, Lori?"

"Not only are you going to be me and my sisters' step-mom, but Leni will become our step-sister," Lori replied.

"Oh yeah, your best friend at Royal Woods High," Lynn said.

"Girls, trust me when I say that you all will literally love having Leni as a sister," Lori said, "Oh, her younger siblings will also become our step-siblings."

"We're getting step-siblings?" Luan said. Looking to Lynn Sr., Luan asked, "Hey dad, don't you think that it would have been a nice heads up to let us know we were getting step-siblings?"

Shrugging, Lynn Sr. said, "Rita and I wanted to surprise both you guys and Rita's biological children. But yeah, Rita has five daughters and a son who will be your step-sisters and step-brother."

"We're getting a brother?" Lisa asked, her interest piqued instantly.

"Oh yeah, Leni's younger brother Lincoln," Lori said, "I met him a few times. I also regularly see Leni's younger sister Luna as she's also a student at Royal Woods High. I know that Leni has three other younger sisters, but I've never met them. I think their names are Lucy, Lana, and Lily, though."

"Uhhg," Lola said, disgust clear in her tone, "One of them is named Lana? I hope she's not like that mud rolling pig in my class named Lana."

"Well regardless I hope you and your sisters will get along with my daughters and son," Rita said, a hint of firmness in her tone.

Looking to Lynn Sr., Lori began, "So I guess that you wanted us to meet our future step-mom? That's why you called and asked me to bring the others?"

Shrugging, Lynn Sr. said, "Well it's that, and also the fact that Rita and her children will be living with us a bit sooner than expected."

Lori was instantly suspicious. "A bit sooner than expected? Like how soon are we talking?"

"They're moving in later today," Lynn Sr. replied.

"Later today?!" the Loud sisters exclaimed in unison.

Chuckling a bit nervously, Lynn Sr. explained, "Yeah, remember the storm from last night? It caused some damage to Rita's house, to the point it's best that Rita and her children move in with us now. She can still get the house fixed, but it'll be a while and by then she and I will have gotten married and she and her children will move in with us anyway. Sorry it's a bit short notice, girls."

"I understand that things sometimes cannot be predicted," Lisa said, "Like that storm from last night."

"Didn't you wake up and yell up a storm in the middle of the night last night?" Luan asked.

"So the storm last night scared me," Lisa replied dryly "Big whoop."

As the Loud sisters aside from Lori and Lisa laughed, Lynn Sr. said, "Girls, don't tease Lisa. And you had better not tease any of your future step-siblings when you meet them."

"Hey dad, how will we help mom and her biological kids with the move?" Lori asked.

Lynn Sr. and Rita both smiled gently, touched that Lori was already referring to Rita as mom. "I got some men to cover for me here, so I could go and help get things ship shape for Rita and her kids," Lynn Sr. began to explain, "I was gonna ask you Lori to take your sisters back home and then meet us over at Rita's place. You know where it is?"

"She should as she's been over a few times," Rita replied.

"Hey yo Mr. L," Bobby began, "I'm free to help out too if it's okay."

"Well an extra pair of hands wouldn't hurt," Lynn Sr. replied, "What do you think, Rita?"

Rita gave a gentle smile. "Bobby is as good of a young man as that Aggro boy who's dating Leni. Aggro said that he would have helped with the move, but because it was moved up suddenly due to storm damage to my house, he isn't available."

"Oh yeah, Aggro and his twin sister have to watch their younger siblings tonight because their parents are out of town on business," Bobby said.

Lori said that she and Bobby would take the younger Loud sisters home to wait and get things ready for receiving their future step-mom and future step-siblings, then they would drive over to Rita's house and help with the move. The younger Loud sisters were curious, and a bit excited, to get to meet their future step-siblings.

Most of the younger Loud sisters, however, hoped that their future step-siblings won't take TOO much after their larger than life future step-mom.

When the Loud sisters and Bobby got back to the Loud family house, Lori drew up a game plan on how the living arrangements will be set up. "Okay, this is literally a rough draft idea," Lori said, "But I'll be sharing a room with Leni, Luan you'll share your room with Luna, Lynn you'll share your room with Lucy, Lola you'll share your room with Lana, Lisa you'll share your room with Lily, and we're going to convert the big spacious linen closet into a room for Lincoln."

"Seriously," Lola scowled, "I hope this Lana is nothing like that gross girl Lana in my class who actually likes getting dirty."

"There's multiple Lanas in the world, so who can say?" Lori replied. Lori and Bobby then took off to Rita's house to help with the move, leaving Luan as the oldest in charge of the other younger Loud sisters. Knowing that they had an important job that they had to do, the girls got to work.

...

"Not that I'm complaining about getting a new mom," Lola began as she and the others took a break from working, "But does she really have to be so, well, you know... fat?"

"I can see why you'd say that," Lynn remarked, "I mean, she's basically spherical."

"Aww, come on girls," Luan began, "I bet that she'll be a ton of fun! Ah ha ha, get it?"

"I estimate that our future step-mom to weigh at most five-hundred and thirty-six point seventeen pounds," Lisa said, "Barely above a quarter of a ton. I highly doubt it's possible for any lone human to actually weigh a ton."

Looking surprised, Lynn said, "You can estimate how much a person weighs like that? How?"

"Simple mathematics, older sister unit," Lisa began to explain, "Judging by her height, combined with her width, I was able to quickly calculate her approximate weight. But then again I only saw her while she was sitting, so my calculations may be a smidgen off."

Shrugging, Lynn said, "Well regardless, I just hope our future step-siblings won't be fat like our future step-mom is."

Scoffing in annoyance, Lola said, "That reminds me of how that mud rolling girl in my class Lana is also a total fatty. Seriously, our future step-sister Lana better not be anything like that gross girl Lana in my class!"

Lisa arched a curious eyebrow as she regarded her older sisters. "I fail to understand how having overweight siblings is so unfavorable. They're human same as us, aren't they?"

Lola would have spoken up, but was cut off by the sound of a car horn going off outside. "That's Lori's boyfriend's car," Lynn said, "They must be back!"

"So let's see what our future step-siblings are like," Luan remarked as she led Lynn, Lola, and Lisa outside. They saw Bobby's car in the driveway as Vanzilla and a moving van could be seen pulling up to the scene. Bobby got out of his car's driver seat, followed by Lori getting out from the front passenger seat.

Emerging from the back seat behind Lori was a girl with long light blonde hair, wearing a sleeveless seafoam green dress, a pair of white framed sunglasses worn on her head, and sandals. To the shocked surprise of Luan and her younger sisters, this mystery girl was rather obese, looking to be roughly as big as Rita.

"Girls, this is Leni," Lori said to her younger sisters while gesturing to the fat girl next to her, "Leni, those are my younger sisters Luan, Lynn, Lola, and Lisa."

"Hi girls!" Leni greeted excitedly as she waved at the younger Loud sisters, her plump arm jiggling as she waved, "I'm, like, totes excited to get to know all of you!"

"So... " Luan said, a bit taken aback out of surprise by how big her future older step-sister is, "...So you're Lori's best friend at school."

"Oh yeah!" Leni went on, "Lori is totes nice, and it's really cute how my boyfriend and Lori's are BFFs!"

Lola scoffed in an incredulous tone. "Pfft, yeah right! Like a girl your si-"

"Hey guv!" a teen girl's voice called out in a practiced but very convincing British accent, "Where can I put me axe?"

"Just set it down next to Bobby's car, Luna," Lori said, "And please drop the British accent for the time being. My younger sisters aren't used to it yet."

Lori's younger sisters then saw another teen girl walk over and set down a guitar case. She had brown hair in a pixie cut, wore a sleeveless purple shirt with a white skull on the front, purple skirt with belts hanging around the waist area, and purple boots that reached up close to her knees. Every bit of this girl screamed rock music lover slash player.

This rocker girl was also, similar to Leni, incredibly fat but not to Leni's considerable level. The rocker girl looked at most to be four-hundred and fifty pounds.

Gesturing to the fat rocker girl, Lori said to her younger sisters, "Girls, that's Leni's younger sister Luna. She same as Leni will be one of your new older sisters."

"Lori mentioned that I'd be sharing a room with whichever one of you is named Luan," the now identified Luna began, "And mom and your dad said we'd be getting a bunk bed."

"I call top bunk!" Luan said, a bit quickly and with a hint of panic in her tone.

Snapping her fingers, Luna said, "Dang it, I wanted top bunk."

"You are NOT getting top bunk," Luan insisted.

As Luna complained about not getting the top bunk of her and Luan's future bunk bed, another girl came walking up to the scene. She was pale skinned, with black hair that was long and with the bangs covering her eyes. She wore a black sleeveless dress that reached her knees, black and white stripped arm warmers that reached halfway up her biceps, similarly colored socks that reached almost to her knees, and black shoes.

This girl was clearly of a more dark personality, and gave off strong vibes of being a goth. She was also, same as Leni and Luna, rather fat, looking to be at least three-hundred pounds. "Sigh," the fat goth girl said, actually saying the word sigh rather than actually sighing, "So this is where we'll be living now?"

"Yeah, this is our home," Lori said to the fat goth girl. To her younger sisters, Lori said while gesturing to the fat goth girl, "Girls, that's Lucy. She'll be a younger sister to me, Luan, and Lynn while being an older sister to Lola and Lisa. Also, don't mind her gloomy attitude, that's common for her."

"Which one of you is Lynn?" the now identified Lucy asked, "Because I was told I'd be sharing a room with you, so I hope my dark canopy bed will fit in your room."

"You have a canopy bed?" Lynn asked.

"A dark canopy bed," Lucy specified, "It better reflects my-"

"Oh what is that stuck up prissy pants Lola doing here?!"

Lucy was cut off when a younger girl's voice called out, and in walked a girl about the same height as Lola. Blonde like Lola, but she wore her hair in twin pigtails, and this girl wore a red cap backwards, a murky green shirt, a pair of overalls, and sneakers that would not be out of place worn by a boy her age. The girl in the overalls was also, same as Leni, Luna, and Lucy, very fat, estimated to be a shade over two-hundred pounds.

"YOU!" Lola exclaimed while pointing at the fat tomboyishly dressed girl, "What are you doing here?!"

"Wait a minute Lola," Lori said, "You know Lana here already?"

"She's the very same Lana I've been complaining about!" Lola exclaimed, "Don't tell me she's going to become one of our step-sisters!"

"She is, and you literally better get used to it," Lori replied, "Especially as you're gonna be sharing a room with her."

"I do NOT wanna share a room with her!" Lola exclaimed, "She'll gross the room up with mud!"

"Pfft, it'll be a better look than pink and sparkles," the now identified Lana scoffed.

"Oh you did NOT just say that mud is better than pink and sparkles!" Lola snapped, "You wanna go, you pig?!"

Making the 'bring it on' gesture with her right hand, Lana said to Lola, "Bring it on, princess!"

Lola and Lana then tried lunging at one another, but were kept apart by Lori. "Okay, you two need to literally break it up," Lori said, clearly able to see that both Lola and Lana were about equality hostile towards each other; Lori was a bit worried that Lola would be more harsh towards Lana than the other way around, but both of the girls can give to each other as well as what they're taking from each other.

As things were settling down, Rita came walking up to the scene while carrying a rather plump toddler girl of roughly one and a half to two years of age; said girl wore a white t-shirt, light purple shorts, and had a tuft of blonde hair on her head. "Lana, were you fighting with one of your future step-sisters just now?" Rita asked, looking suspicious.

"She's that spoiled bratty princess in my class at school that I complained about," Lana explained, "Am I supposed to get along with her?"

"Yes, yes you are," Rita replied, "And she better get along with you."

"You cannot be serious," Lola said dryly.

As Rita rolled her eyes at Lola's attitude, Lori noticed that the chubby toddler that Rita was carrying was asleep. "I take it Lily's tuckered out?" Lori asked.

"Yes, and who is she sharing a room with again?" Rita replied.

"With Lisa although we can adjust things as necessary if you want," Lori replied. Turning to her sisters, Lori said, "Girls, the toddler that our mom is carrying is Lily."

"It's been a while since we've had a toddler in the house," Luan remarked, "Lisa was our last one, but she's long grown out of the toddler stage."

"Well I hope you all will be good big sisters to Lily," Rita replied, right as Bobby came walking over carrying a few small boxes. He was accompanied by a boy who looked to be around Lynn's height, also said boy was also carrying a few small boxes. The boy was fair skinned, had white hair with a notable cow lick, wore a plain orange polo shirt, dark pants, and white shoes.

He was also, same as all of Rita's daughters, rather notably obese, looking to be one large sphere of fat more or less.

"Hey, Bobby and I got the boxes of small things labled for wherever Leni is gonna sleep," the fat boy said, "Where do we-"

"We're getting a big brother?!" Lisa exclaimed, a hint of excitement on her tone, cutting the fat boy off mid sentence.

"Oh yeah, there's Leni's brother," Lori remarked. To her sisters, Lori said, "Girls, that boy next to Bobby is Lincoln. He's going to be our brother."

Luan, Lynn, Lola, and (a clearly very excited) Lisa all looked at the now identified Lincoln, but they only looked at him for two seconds before Lisa ran over and hugged him, essentially sinking into his very considerable belly. "Aww, well isn't that sweet," Rita remarked, touched by how instantly Lisa clicked to the idea of Lincoln being her big brother.

"Yeah, Lisa's literally always wanted a big brother," Lori explained, "She tends to hang close to Bobby whenever he comes over to visit me due to viewing him as one."

"And now all of us are getting a big brother," Luan remarked, "Ah ha ha, get it?"

Rita gave Luan a bit of an unamused look, as did Lincoln and Rita's biological daughters aside from the still sleeping Lily. "No, I don't get it," Leni said, sounding honestly lost and confused, "Could you explain the joke?"

"She was making a rather mean spirited crack about my weight, Leni," Lincoln explained.

Sighing, Rita said to her future step-daughters, "Look, I know that you girls are probably in shock due to the sudden change in your lives. But it's still no excuse to belittle your future step-siblings over their size. That being said, you all had better start getting used to them being around."

Lori clearly was already accepting of the step-siblings she and her biological sisters were getting, and Lisa didn't mind their sizes also she was ecstatic to be getting an older brother as she hung by Lincoln's side pretty much from the get go. It was Luan, Lynn, and Lola who weren't sure about their new soon to be step-siblings.

Why were they all so... so fat?

END, CHAPTER ONE

Author's notes;

This is something I haven't done in a while; a Loud House fic. It's at least partly inspired by immortal starscream's 'The Lard House' (check it out when you have the time btw), but this story has multiple different elements; there's no dimension hopping here, for starters. Additionally, the goal for this story is to promote and support fat acceptance, something that some IRL friends of mine could really use right now.

As such, it sees Lori, Luan, Lynn, Lola, and Lisa as Lynn Sr.'s biological daughters from a woman named Ruth who died in a traffic accident. A few months after Ruth's death, Lynn Sr. met Rita at the funeral for her husband Rodrick who was killed in an accident at work; Lynn Sr. met Rita at her husband's funeral because Rita's dad Albert hired Lynn's Table to cater the event, not knowing that he was going to have his daughter meet her first love again.

Due to damage to Rita's house, she and her biological children Leni, Luna, Lincoln, Lucy, Lana, and Lily have to move into the Loud family house earlier than anticipated. It's there that Lynn Sr.'s biological daughters meet their future step-siblings. Lori is accepting of them from the get go due to being familiar with them as well as being best friends with Leni, and Lisa is also quick to the idea of her soon to be step-siblings, especially as one of them will be a big brother to her.

It's Luan, Lynn, and Lola who aren't immediately on the idea of accepting their plus-sized step-siblings. This story will see the two families getting used to each other, as well as see some plots of episodes adapted, and probably most importantly see Luan, Lynn, and Lola get more used to and accepting of Rita's biological children.

The next chapter will see some of that in action. Until then, take care.
