A/N I am new to this fanfic thing but I wanted to give it a try. I love reading fanfic and thought why not write one myself

Callie Torres was in a nice dream state, thinking about what her team is going to do this year to win the state championship. It's Callie's senior year before college and she really wants this season to do well. She's a straight A student and is involved with many activities at school.

Her favorite things about school other than science and soccer and the drama club. Callie is a big drama freak and essentially always will go out for the lead role. Most people at school adore her and are practically in love with her sense of style. Girls want to be her, and guys (and some girls) want to be with her. Callie Torres is bisexual and came out at school in her eighth-grade year.

She loves her school and has some of the greatest friends by her side. She's grateful for her friends and lucky to have a strong support group at school. It wasn't always like that for Callie but she's glad that she has one now.

She has challenges in school that are taught for her. She struggles in Geography and doesn't enjoy doing history.

I mean seriously who enjoys learning geography when she rather does chemistry and biology. And it doesn't help the fact that her partner in both These classes is her best friend and first boyfriend (from like the seventh grade) Mark S. She and Mark have been friends forever and she's grateful to have him in her life. Mark plays soccer as well and is a good striker. Whereas Callie is a goalie.

Callie has other great friends and an ex that likes to linger even if it's unintentional or not. Her friends Addison, Cristina, Derek, Owen, Meredith and Miranda also play soccer. Their school is a big soccer school, so they play a lot. Their school is similarly big where they have a Varsity and a Junior Varsity team. And for freshmen they can participate in internal soccer during the school year.

One person that Callie is not looking forward to seeing this year is Arizona. It's not that she hates Arizona. No, obviously not. They are very close friends and have known each other since the end of primary school. It's just over the years since they were in middle school Callie has had a crush on Arizona and can never seem to spit it out. It went away after freshman year, but over the summer they got close again working at the arcade together. And Callie saw her in the same light she saw when they just ended middle school.

Arizona is funny and sweet. She's so cute when she gets made fun of and she likes to play games with Callie a lot.

Working with her was a dream and it brought everything back to Callie. They would hang out together all the time after their shift and talk about everything and anything. Callie has always noticed when Arizona was around at school because she hated the fact that they weren't close anymore.

It also made no sense cuz they have the same group of friends.

Hmmm. She needs to fix that.

It's not like she wanted to, but it was always different directions with Callie doing either soccer or softball and Arizona doing threats and volleyball. But man… being in the same space really brought back all her feelings.

As Callie was finishing getting ready for school her phone buzzed from the side table of her bed. She looked at the phone and saw that it was Mark calling her. She smiled and picked up her phone.

"Hey, I was just getting ready." She told him. She was so excited for this year.

"Torres, you ready to kick ass. It's our final year and it's going to be great." He says while driving towards Callies house to pick her up.

"Mark, yes, I am almost ready. I'm just going to talk to my family, and we'll be ready to go." She hung up on him and went downstairs to the kitchen.

Entering her kitchen she sees the chef cooking breakfast.

"Good morning Ms. Torres, are you ready for your first day of school?" The cook said to her.

"I am good. I am and can't wait to see my friends." she said.

"Well I have a nice breakfast sandwich for you." Maria, the chef said. Handing the food over, Callie quickly ate her food and thanked the chef for the tasty sandwich.

"Where's mom or dad?" Callie looked around the kitchen where her parents normally are in the morning

"They are out back by the deck eating before work."

Okay thanks." Callie walked outside to see her parents talking about something. Probably their business that they ran together.

"Good morning Daddy." She said looking at her father, then she turned to her mother and said "Good morning Mom."

"Good morning callie. Ready for your senior year?" Carlos, Callies dad said.

Callie's parents are both very rich. Her dad Carlos Torres owns hotel chains all around the world. Whereas, her mother Lucia is a highly sought out criminal justice lawyer here in Miami.

"Yes, can't wait to see everyone again. I am so nervous but very excited for the final year." she says smiling

"When are you leaving?" Lucia asked her daughter.

"Soon, Mark's going to pick me up. I just have to finish packing my bag with my stuff."

"Well I sure hope you have a great first day. I will see you later with a request of what food you want for dinner." Carlos says.

It's tradition that on the first day of school Callie and her sister Aria get to choose what they want to eat for dinner when school starts.

"I will call you." Callie says and then hugged her parents before heading back inside to gather her things.

Callie lives in a nice house and lives a comfortable life. People at school know that she's loaded and is always trying to be her friend. Sometimes it was hard to figure out who was fake or not.

One time in freshmen year a guy in her class tried to date her because he found out who her father was. His name was David, and he was sweet at first. He was Callie's Bio partner in class, and she tried to always make her laugh and smile.

Over the semester, the two would become good friends or acquaintances that would bring a bright smile to Callie's face. He was like none of the other people she'd dated before. Sadly, it didn't last long.

George, her ex-boyfriend, was quiet and had low self-esteem. But he was nice and sweet and showed Callie what a great guy he was. Until there were rumors going around school that people saw him kissing his best friend and that pretty much ended their short-lived relationship.

Callie had some other notable ones. But her hardest one was Erica Hahn. It wasn't because the relationship ended, not rather because of how bad Erica was dismissive of Callie and her friends. When they were together Erica hated how close Callie and Mark were with each other.

She was also jealous of how close she was to both Addison and Arizona.

No matter how many times Callie would tell her that she and Addison were like sisters she would never listen.

And with Arizona, Erica always thought Arizona had a thing for her. Callie kept on telling Erica that wasn't the case at all. It was a rough two months of Erica's jealousy and passiveness that Callie had to call quits.

After their break-up Callie started to think about her feelings.

Callie finished gathering her things, just as she heard a car honk.

Well, Mark's here.

"So, Torres, how was your summer job working with blondie?" Mark said as he was driving them towards their school.

"It was okay, I mean it got awkward at first but then we started talking again, and it brought back memories from when we were younger." Callie signed as Mark kept driving.

"Cal, how come it was awkward? I thought you were good friends." Mark said sincerely while looking at his friend for answers. He too was friends with Arizona, but not like Callie was. He likes to tease her and mess with her, whereas Callie knows all the little things about Arizona.

Well, most of the little things and secrets. She didn't know about the two secrets that Arizona hid from her, but we'll get back to that later.

Callie desperately wanted to be with the girl of her dreams but she's afraid of getting hurt.

Callie was just about to answer him when she looked out the window. They are at school. Then, she saw Arizona, Teddy, Owen and Derek walking towards them.

Crap.

Callie took a second to check out Arizona walking towards them.

She is gorgeous. With her crop top and ripped jeans.

Oh my.

Having a crush on one of your closest friends is so hard. But Arizona is different, she always knew that she was different from their other friends.

"She's coming this way; I'll tell you later." Mark looked past Callie.

"Sloan, Torres, are you guys ready for the final year of high school?" Owen asked as he hugged Callie and gave a high five to Mark.

"Hell, yeah Hunt, this will be a great year, where we will make so many memories with each other I can feel it," Mark said. Then he turned to Callie and said, "Right Cal?" Mark said.

Callie then proceeded to give hugs to Derek and Teddy and gave a small wave to Arizona and an awkward hug.

Callie and Mark looked at each other. Callie put on a bright smile and said "We totally are, this year is going to be great, and I am so excited for basketball and soccer this year"

"That's the spirit," Owen laughed.

The six friends started to head towards inside the school's gym to find out where their homerooms were going to be.

Teddy held Arizona back when the other four started walking. She whispered in Arizona's ear, "what was that?"

Arizona looked at Callie then back at her friend. "I don't know, we had a good summer and always had a fun mood in each other's presence."

Teddy asked "Did she find out?"

Arizona looked at Callie and then back at Teddy. "No, because the only person who knows is you and Alex. And you know Alex doesn't tell anyone with the secrets he has."

Teddy agreed and then just continued to walk and interact with their group of friends.

Arizona really doesn't know. Maybe Callie found out her secret right before school started. Arizona was not at work the week before school since she went to Germany with her family as a family trip before her and her twin brother went back to school.

God. She hoped she hadn't discovered Arizona's secret.

Her brother Tim was her twin brother. He is an athlete at school and what the girls called a player. He was the perfect boy and everyone at school drools over him.

Heck even her best friend Teddy has a crush on him.

It was so annoying.

Tim had it easy to find girls to date, whereas Arizona found it hard to get close to someone like that since her heart was broken by Eliza two years ago.

It's not like she was really into her. But what Eliza did to her destroyed her self-esteem and self-confidence.

Callie looking back saw Arizona and Teddy in conversation. She wondered what they would be talking about.

So, she creeped up to hear Teddy ask "So, what are you going to do about it?"

Callie stepped in and asked, "Do something about what?"

Arizona and Teddy broke apart and looked at Callie awkwardly. "Oh, we were just talking about what Teddy was going to do about her crush on my brother.

Callie laughed and said, "Altman you better do something about that, he's a catch and people probably want to date him."

"Eww, I don't want to know who wants to date my brother." Arizona said. "Except Teddy because she's been eyeing him for ages."

"Oh Altman, we have to do something about that. But for now, let's go find our classes." Callie took Teddy's hand and they walked ahead to get their schedules.

Everyone else followed Callie. Turns out they all had homeroom Social Studies together.

Walking into class they were greeted by their teacher Richard Webber. "Good morning class, have a seat class is about to start."

People sat down and Mr. Webber was able to start his lesson. "Since this is your final year of high school, I am assigning you guys in groups for the year"

Everyone looked at someone knowing who they wanted their groups to be.

Arizona on the other hand groaned. She hates group work, and she especially doesn't want to work with her work mate. She wouldn't be able to concentrate and control her emotions.

"Hahn Derek, Riley, and Montgomery" Richard started reading the teams.

Addison rolled her eyes at that and looked at Callie.

"Karev, O'Malley, Harris and Grey"

"Pierce, Shepard A, Betron, Hunt"

"Edwards, Kepner, Avery and Ross."

"Altman, Robbins, Sloan, Yang and Torres"

Everyone looked towards who would be in their groups.

"Now everyone this is discussed with your other profs, and this will be your biggest project of the year. This year I want each group to pick a topic and collect data for the end of the first term when we will present the information. Now you guys don't have to start till the beginning of October, but I still want you guys to brainstorm some ideas."

After a while everyone settled in with their groups. All the groups talked for the rest of the class until it was time for their next class. It was time to go to their next class of the day.

"So, everyone meets up tomorrow after school to talk about the project at Callie's place?"

"Yes." "Ya".

Mark smiled and walked away with Callie and Teddy towards their next class.

Callie was pleased with the group and happy she got to work on this project with some of her best friends and the girl of her dreams.

What could go wrong?
