Yu-Gi-Oh New Generation
Hey there guys, Today, it will mark the start of a new story called Yu-Gi-Oh New Generation that will be a original story where the characters will duel with cards but with the rules that is based on the OCG game, therefore, there won't be any "anime" rules in that series.
Once again, this series might be slow because I am a slow writer so please, be indulgent in case I would delay that series because I am writing another story.
Now, enjoy that story and it's first chapter.

It was a eventful afternoon at Neo Domino City graveyard.
A young girl, Alexia, was standing before a tombstone, her mother's, Athena, who was recently killed by an unknown assaillant.
But before she died, she has given to her daughter, her legacy, her Blue-Eyes deck.
"Hi mom, I'm sad that we have to leave that way, I wish that you will still up here, now, my life is gonna be hard without you but don't worry about me though, with your deck, I'm sure I am gonna be get better and better at dueling, maybe one day, I'll be good as a duelist as you were, maybe in better, I'm sorry I'm gonna leave but I promise that I will be back soon, bye mom" the sapphire-haired girl said to the tombstone before she left the graveyard with tears on her eyes.
She will uphold the legacy of dueling with her mother's deck, she has to, in order to honor her memory.
Chapter 1 : A newest kind of dueling

At Teppen's bar, the hightest profiled bar of Neo Domino City, the customers were drinking and chatting with the other persons who were in the place.
Until suddenly, a door opened, revealing Alexia who came at the bar to which everyone in the bar begins to look at her.
The young girl never stepped on a bar before and the customers of the bar doesn't seems to know her personally.
The sapphire-haired girl walked on the bar as she looked for the bartender of the place, she eventually sees a man wearing glasses behind a counter, she decided to go to him so that she could speak with him.
"Excuse me sir" Alexia asked to which the bartender heard her and he decided to see her.
"How can I help you miss?" asked the bartender.
"Well, my mom just died and I've decided to have a small drink before I leave to my house" said Alexia.
"How old are you miss? You don't look like the type of person that should drink a beer or whisky" asked the bartender.
"I'm sixteen sir" said the sapphire-haired girl.
"You're pretty young to come in that bar, I'll give you a bottle of lemonade, what do you think?" asked the bartender.
"That will be good, thank you sir" replied Alexia as the bartender left his counter so that he could search for a lemonade bottle.
But when he was searching for her bottle, the young girl discovered a man that was drinking a beer alone on a table, it was a man who was sporting a side-swept hairstyle and he was wearing a black t-shirt on him along with a pair of black jeans, but what caught her eye was the large burning scar that he has on the right side of his face, the sapphire-haired girl instantly recognized the man.
"Spence?"
Spencer was her brother, well, actually, her former brother as her family has disowned him after an incident that he caused when he was younger.
The bartender eventually come and he gave her bottle of lemonade to which she took it while she was still looking at her brother.
"I see that you are eyeing this guy, a friend of yours?" asked the bartender who noticed that Alexia was still looking at Spencer.
"Yeah, he is my brother" replied the sapphire-haired girl.
"Interesting, he never talked about you, you see, this guy is a regular client of my bar, he usually come here every Thursday and Saturday in order to have a drink" said the bartender to which it piques Alexia's curiosity, why would her brother would come at this bar in order to drink? In order to remove the sorrow that he was diwsowned by her family?
Once she reached her brother's table, the man looked at the newcomer at his table and he widened his eyes with surprise as he never expected to see her in Teppen's bar.
"Alexia?" asked Spencer.
"Hi Spence, never thought that I will see you here" replied Alexia.
"Same here, what are you doing here?" asked Spencer.
"Well, I needed to clear my head after the funeral, mommy died Spence" explained the sapphire-haired girl to which her sentence caused the young man to be a bit saddened.
"I'm sorry to hear that, first our dad, now her" replied Spencer.
"Except that Dad died naturally, someone killed our mother" said Alexia.
"And did the police has found the killer?" asked the young man.
"No, not yet" frownedly said the sapphire-haired girl as she was saddened by her mother's death.
"I see, I'm sure that they will find him eventually" said Spencer before he noticed that the young girl had a deck box with a picture of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon on its surface "I see that you inherited our mom's deck".
"Yeah and I promise that I will take care of it" replied the sapphire-haired girl as she looked at her deck box.
"I see" said Spencer before he rose up from his seat as he prepared to leave.
"Spence, where are you going?" asked Alexia.
"I...I think that it will be better for you that I don't stay too much with you, you have already a crappy day, I don't need to make it more miserable" said Spencer as he begins to leave the bar.
"Spence, wait!" pleaded the sapphire-haired girl but her pleas fell on deaf ears as Spencer left the bar much to her sister's confusion and sadness.
Spencer was her best confidant when she was younger but when he was thrown away from her home, she felt all alone despite her parents who were there.
Then, her father died of a heart attack and several months later, it was her mother who died, killed by this assaillant.
But she was taken away from that thought when a boy was pushed into the bar much to everyone's surprise, especially Alexia who wasn't expecting that, did her brother beat up that kid?
But when she looked at him, she noticed that he was wearing a duel disk on his arm and when she looked at the entrance, three men entered the bar, they were all wearing black leather jackets and one of them (the light blue-haired man) was wearing a duel disk, it seems that this boy was defeated by that man.
"Please, I beg of you, don't hurt me!" pleaded the young boy but the leader of the group cut him off and he took his deck.

"We don't need your whining, let me see what's inside of your deck" replied the leader as he looked at the boy's deck, he frowned when he scanned the deck "what? And you dare call yourself a duelist? With that kind of deck, you can't beat a single duelist!"
The leader threw the boy's deck at his feet, causing his two sidekicks to laugh at the youngster's misfortunes as he was saddened that he lost against the group.
An irked Alexia felt that her blood was boiling inside of her, who are they to bully a poor kid who didn't ask anything?
Not waiting for a moment, she put herself in front of the boy in order to defend him.
"Leave him alone you bullies! Have you no shame, attacking that poor boy who did nothing wrong?" berated the sapphire-haired girl, while the leader wasn't fazed by her lecture, the dark-green haired man (Asura) decided to intervene.
"Little girl, you are speaking to Cronos, the regional champion of Duel Monsters and he doesn't need your lecture, you imbecile!" critized Asura.
"Yeah, you should go playing with your Barbie instead of annoying the mature adults that we are" replied the light-blue haired man (Camus) to which his reply caused the two men to laugh at the young girl who glared at them.
"Asura, Camus, that would be enough!" replied Cronos to which the two men stopped laughing "I don't know why you've decided to intervene, we dueled, he lost, that's the nature of the game".
"Oh yeah? And throwing his deck at his face? I suppose that is part of the game too?" angrily asked the sapphire-haired girl.
"It was his fault to begin with, had he has a better deck, he would have won, yet, he didn't" nonchantly said Cronos before a smile drew on his face "but I see where you're going there, you plan to avenge that boy right? Well I'm always open for a challenge".
"Fine then, I'll duel you big guy!" replied Alexia as she took her deck and she inserted it in her duel disk.
"Hey, ladies and gentlemen, if you wanna duel, take it outside! I don't want any fight in the bar!" demanded the bartender.
"I don't care about the location actually but I agree that this place is too small for a duel anyway, we'll take it outside" said Cronos as he, his crownies and Alexia went outside in order to duel.
Once the four (the boy ran away when he discovered that Alexia would be dueling Cronos) made it outside, the dark-blue haired man drew his duel disk and he activated it, ready to engage the duel with the sapphire-haired girl.
"Are you ready little girl? Because I won't hold back!" asked Cronos.
"I'm ready and that would be Alexia for you Cronos!" replied Alexia.
"Fine Alexia, well then..."
LET'S DUEL!
(BGM: Kaiba theme Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories)
"Ladies first, make your move, make it count!" challenged Cronos as Alexia drew her six cards, she looked at her deck and she decided to make her move.
"I put a card facedown" said Alexia as a hologram of a card appeared on her field "and I summon Armored knight in attack mode!"
A blue-armored knight appeared on the field (A:1600/D:1200).
"I end my turn" said the sapphire-haired girl to which Cronos crownies begin to laugh at the young girl.
"That would be all? Damn, I'm sure that Cronos will crush her no problem!" mocked Camus to which his comment caused Alexia to be irked.
"I guess that you've remained under a cave for a long time, Alexia, that facedown card is a trap in order to destroy my monsters, fine, I'll bite" grinned the dark-blue haired man as he drew his sixth card "since I have no monsters on my field, I'll special summon Photon Thrasher in attack mode!"
Some sort of a robotic warrior appeared on Cronos field (A:2100/D:0).
"Then I summon Galaxy Wizard in Attack mode" proclaimed Cronos to which a robotic monster dressed in a white cloth appeared on his field but what surprised Alexia was that he didn't have any attack points (A:0/D:1800).
"Zero attack points? Then why did you summon it in Attack mode ?" asked the young girl.
"You will discover it right now! I'm now building the Overlay Network by tributing my Photon Thrasher and Galaxy Wizard!" replied the dark-blue haired man.
"The Overlay Network?" wondered Alexia as she noticed that Cronos monsters begin to transform into two fluorescents beams of energy.
"XYZ Summon! Rank 4! Rise from the light and strike those who will try to fight us, Starliege Paladynamo!" chanted Cronos as a white sliver knight appeared on the field, holding a giant sword (A:2000/D:1000).

"What is that? What was that kind of summon?" asked Alexia to which Cronos crownies laughed at her while Cronos drew out a smirk.
"I guess that you've stayed with the oldest format of Duel Monsters, you see, the game has rapidly advanced through the years and they added new kinds of summoning, namely the Synchro summoning and XYZ summoning, the Synchro summoning allowed us to special summon a Synchro monster as long as you have a Tuner monster while the XYZ summoning that I use allow me to summon a XYZ monster as long as the two monsters have the same level, they became XYZ materials" explained Cronos to which Alexia noticed that two circulars of energy was circulating around Starliege Paladynamo.
"So these things who circuls around that monster, those are materials?" asked the young girl.
"Yes, all that I needed what that my two monsters were LIGHT-attributes and that their levels were level 4, now, you might think that I will use my monster to attack you yes?" asked Cronos before a smirk drew on his face "well guess again, because I won't fall for such a old trick, I activate Harpie Feather Dust!"
(BGM: Wild Cyclone – Yu-Gi-Oh GX)
"Oh no!" shierked the saphhire-haired girl as she knows about the effect of Harpie Feather Dust effect.
"When I play that spell card, this allows me to destroy all of your facedown cards!" added the dark-blue man as a powerful storm ravaged upon the field and it destroyed Alexia's facedown card "and I will add another surprise for you, see, when I use my XYZ materials, my monster can lower your monster Attack points at 0 attack points!"
"WHAT?" let out the young girl as Starliege Paladynamo sacrificed its two XYZ materials and launched out a strong amount of electrical energy that struck Armored Knight to put a knee on the floor, its attack points being wiped out (A:1600-0).
"Time to end that farce! Starliege Paladynamo, BURST LIGHT ATTACK!" ordered Cronos as his monster drew out its sword and he give out a powerful slash that caused Armored Knight to be destroyed, taking away an amount of Alexia's life points (Alexia:2000) 'I think that I have done enough damage, I end my turn".

The young girl was astonished, she never thought that she will cross path with a monster that was summoned in such a way and who manage to beat her at her own game.
However, she can't give up now, she must beat him down so that he could learn about the way of humility.
"My turn, draw!" launched out the young girl to which her draw caused her to be happy "I summon Lord of D in Attack mode."
A man claded in a golden dragon-shaped armor appeared on the field (A:1100/D:1200).
"Guess that Cronos will still keep his crown after all" mocked Asura as both he and Camus laughed at the saphhire-haired girl.
"Then, I activate the Flute of Summoning Dragon" said Alexia as the flute appeared on the Lord of D hands and he begin to blow at it "with this card, I can special summon up to two Dragon monsters from my hand, and I'll summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
A majestic white dragon appeared on the field, letting out a powerful roar (A:3000/D:2500).
"What the hell? The Blue-Eyes White Dragon?" wondered Asura as he wasn't expecting the infamous dragon to appear on the field.
"I don't know how this chick got that card but the thing is that dragon is here" added Camus.
However, the summoning of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon didn't phase Cronos who remained calm.

"Now I see, you must be Athena's daughter, Alexia" remarked the dark-blue haired man to which the fact he mentionned her mother's name caused the young girl to be surprised.
"You know of my mom?" asked Alexia.
"No, I've never met the woman herself but I've heard that she was well known for her impressive duels and that the Blue-Eyes White Dragon was her favorite card, so you've inherited her deck" said Cronos.
"Yeah, I'm playing it in order to honor her memory" said Alexia as tears begin to form on her crystalline blue eyes.
"I'm sorry, it must be tough to have lost a parent" said the dark-blue haired man.
"Yeah" said the sapphire-haired girl as she wiped the tears off her eyes.
"Now, you have her deck and I'm sure that, with a lot of practice, patience and adaptability, you can best the strongest of duelists" replied Cronos to which his sentence caused the young girl to be surprised but she was happy that her oppenent has cheered her up, he wasn't condesending but he was instead comforting the young girl about the loss of her mother.

"For a bully, you're pretty kind, thank you" replied Alexia as she decided to continue the duel "as you know, my Blue-Eyes White Dragon has 3000 Attack points to which it will be enough to destroy your Starliege Paladynamo, now go Blue-Eyes, WHITE BURST OF DESTRUCTION!"
Blue-Eyes let out a powerful Blueish white blast that oblierated Starliege Paladynamo completely (Cronos:3000).
"When Starliege Paladynamo is destroyed through either by battle or by an effect, I can draw a card from my deck" adds Cronos as he drew a card.
"Well, hope that it will be useful to you because my Lord of D is gonna attack your life points" says Alexia as the monster leaps and give out a punch to the dark-blue hair duelist who backed up a bit because of the blast (Cronos:1800) "so, how's that? I end my turn".
"Not bad, you know your cards kid but if you think that this setback is gonna stop me, you're sadly mistaken, as I said, you're way behind from the game as it is played today, let me show you how" says Cronos as he drew a card, a smile appeared on his face "I activate Trade-In".
"What does that Spell card do?" asked the sapphire-haired girl.
"When I activate that card, I can discard a Level 8 monster from my hand so that I could draw two cards" replied the dark-blue haired duelist as he discard one of his monsters and he drew two cards from his deck "and now, I'll activate the effect of Galaxy Soldier from my hand so that I could send one of my Light monsters into my graveyard so that I could special summon it in Defense mode"
Cronos throws one of his Light monsters into his graveyard so that he could summon some kind of a robot claded in a golden armor (A:2000/D:0).
"Something tells me that he must be planning something big" thought Alexia as Cronos continued his turn.
(BGM : Knifepoint – Dead or Alive 3)
"And since I have a Galaxy monster on my field, I can activate the effect of Galaxy Knight when I can normal summon it despite his Level 8 attribute" adds Cronos as he summon Galaxy Knight, another robot-like warrior who was claded in a sliver armor (A:2800-1800/D: 2600)"and do know this, when Galaxy Knight is summoned on the field, it allow me to summon a Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon in my graveyard".
"But there is not one in your grave...ah!" realized Alexia as she remembered that Cronos has thrown a Level 8 monster in his graveyard when he activated the effect of Galaxy Soldier.
"I see the recognition in your eyes, indeed, I have brought a Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon in my graveyard when I activate Galaxy Soldier's effect, thanks to Galaxy Knight, I can summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon through my graveyard in Defense mode!"
When the dark-blue haired duelist did that, a majectic colorful dragon appeared behind him and let out a powerful roar (A:3000-2000/D:2500).
"That's great Cronos but you forgot that aside of your Galaxy Knight, none of your monsters can attack my monsters and I've noticed that Galaxy Knight and Photon Dragon lost 1000 Attack points"
"A side effect of Galaxy Knight effect, it reduces its attack points and of Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon effect through 1000 Attack points, though it will be of little importance because I'm now building the Overlay Network!" said Cronos as both Galaxy Knight and Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon became beams of energy.
"Oh no, not again!" whined the sapphire-haired girl.
"XYZ Summon! Rank 8! From the light, your wings will shine bright across the darkness, demonstrate your beauty and your power, Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon!" chanted the dark-blue haired duelist as a dark multicolorful dragon appeared behind his back (A:3000/D:2500).
"It has the same Attack points than Blue-Eyes!" shrieked Alexia.
"That's right and do know that I can tribute one of his XYZ Material so that I can steal one of your monsters and adds it on my side of the field" explained Cronos.
"WHAT? NOOO!" cried out the sapphire-haired girl as Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon absorded one of its XYZ Materials and it launched out a electrical attack on Blue-Eyes that was suddenly attracted to Cronos side of the field "My Blue-Eyes!"
"See? Your problem is that you are ill-equipped in the world of dueling, you have a innate talent for it but if you don't train yourself in the new methods of summoning, you will never defeat a duelist such as I" explained the dark-blue haired duelist as he prepared to make his move "and to ensure my victory, I activate the effect of Photon Orbital from my hand where I can equip this card to another card as long it is a Photon or Galaxy card and since Galaxy-Eyes is part of the Galaxy series, it can increase its attack points of 500".
A robot suddenly appeared on the field and it begin to hug Cipher Dragon, its attack power rose up much to the young girl shock (A:3000-3500).
"Let's go Cipher Dragon, attack Lord of D with your Galactic Blast!" ordered Cronos as his monster opened its mouth and it concentrate a powerful blast of energy that it launched towards Lord of D, Alexia hung for impact as the sapphire-haired girl now knows that she has lost the duel.

For a first episode, you might be wondering, why did you end it on a cliffhanger ? Well, because I felt that it will be much more interesting to see what will Alexia will do after she lose and I felt that I have written a lot of stuff in that chapter.
I hope that you will enjoy, fave, follow and review that story and this chapter though I hope I didn't make any mistakes on the duel since originally, I thought that the effect of Galaxy Knight allowed Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon to be summoned in Attack mode but I was wrong and I had to change the outcome of the duel, I thought about keeping Cipher Dragon much later but I had to throw it out to compensate that mistake.
