It was near midnight in Royal Woods when Lincoln had gone and decided to take a midnight stroll by its countryside, near where his friend Liam lives. He was wearing a brown hoodie to keep warm as he was coming close to a stone bridge that went above a flowing river.

Lincoln:"(sighs) The town is so peaceful at night. Can't imagine how it could get intense."

But almost immediately after he said, a noise was heard in the distance and Lincoln looked to see what appeared to have been a black car turning from the corner from the road and began driving over to the bridge. The sight of it made Lincoln go and hide somewhere since he was aware that vehicles like that aren't used by a friendly bunch of people. It came to a screeching halt when it was on top of the bridge, right at the edge of the side. That is when the backseat window came down, and whoever was inside was trying to force something big out of it. Looked like some kind of bag with something moving around inside it. The bag may have been a little too big for the people to simply try and push it out as it was bulging through the window and was even starting to bend and fold the car door at an unusual angle. But, after a little bit of struggling, the bag was pushed out through the window and fell right into the river as the car sped off.

Lincoln saw everything, and it was a pretty intense moment. But, what caught his attention after that was the movement coming from the bag that was floating up the river. And there were even sounds of...muffled screaming? Whatever it was, it was enough for Lincoln to start rushing over to the river and stop to see the bag coming his way. Knowing that he had to act quickly, he turned and grabbed a huge branch from a tree next to the river and placed it on top of the bag to try and drag it to shore. The thing was extremely heavy, as Lincoln pulled with all his strength. Through sweat and gritted teeth, was he able to bring the thing onto land.

Lincoln:"(panting) ...I hope those aren't animals in there."

It definitely didn't sound like animals, as the panicked screaming coming from inside seemed to have calmed down now that the bag was on land. Getting close to the bag, Lincoln found where the opening was tied shut and began to undo the knot.

Lincoln:"Don't worry. I'm gonna get you out!"

Untying the bag, Lincoln opened it up and stepped back as a bunch of kids out in front of him, seven in total. Much to his surprise, it was kids of different ages as the first he noticed was a girl at 16 years old, has white skin, and flowing dark brown hair that reaches her butt. She wore a white shirt with pink sleeves and a grey shirt with black shoes. Her name was Debby. The next one was a boy of 10 years old boy with tan skin, and short black hair. He wears an orange and grey striped shirt, as well as blue cargo pants, with white shoes that have light red stripes. Not to mention he was also a tad bit chubby. His name was Matthew. The third was a boy, about Luna's age from what Lincoln could tell, having skin as pale as Lucy and her friend's, short black hair with a purple streak in his bangs, similar to Sam's, wearing a grey shirt, black pants, and black shoes. His name was Rufus. The next girl looked to have been Lynn's age and had orange hair in a short ponytail, tan skin and she had on a red windbreaker over a plain white shirt. She also had on greige jean shorts and brown shoes. Her name was Gina. The next boy was about Lana's age and had fair skin with Brown hair, a striped light green shirt, and grey baggy pants with blue shoes. His name is Archie. The next girl was another as old as Lynn with dark blonde hair tied in a high and wavy ponytail, also had fair skin and she had on a navy blue tank top, torn blue jeans, and black shoes. She also had on a light pink fluffy wristband. Her name was Kelsey. The last was a boy at the age of nine who had Dark brown hair that reached his neck, with tan skin, and wore a long-sleeved shirt that is white with blue sleeves, black jeans, and red shoes. His name was Aaron.

After seeing all of them begin to recover, Lincoln was left in shock by the sight of them. What were these kids doing here? What was going on with them in a bag? Who could've done this to them? These were questions he would need to find the answers to later as the one known as Debby seemed to have fully recovered and walked over to Lincoln, who stepped back, not sure what she was going to do. He wasn't prepared for her to get down onto her knees and wrap her arms around him, grabbing him up in a hug. As this happened, he could hear her saying something.

Debby:"(ecstatically) Thank you...thank you, thank you."

Lincoln wasn't sure what to feel about this at first. But he did save her life, so he found it understandable as he began to slowly return the hug. After they break off the other kids approach from behind Debby and looked towards the white-haired boy.

Archie:"Who's this?"

Lincoln:"My name is Lincoln. I'm the guy who saved you. Now with that out of the way, would any of you like to explain what the heck happened?"

The kids all looked at each other nervously, not wanting to relive what they just experienced until Aaron just decided to go and blurt it out.

Aaron:"We were...just about to get killed before you saved us."

And that response left Lincoln even more shocked.

Lincoln:"How did all this start anyway? What happened to all of you?"

Debby:"...We were all Orphans living at Dinkley's Foster Home. Me and Rufus were looking after these kids when those people and their black cars came and started wrecking the place, kidnapping others. We tried to fight back, but when they got a hold of us, they just decided to go and try to get rid of us."

Lincoln:"So they decided to dump you into a river?"

Rufus:"Yep. But before they stuffed us into the bag you saved us from, we overheard them saying that they may have gotten more kids from the Orphanage."

Matthew:"I refuse to believe that."

Debby:"Well, we're all safe now. We need to hide someplace before we can try and head back to the Orphanage."

Archie:"Uh...where are we gonna find a place like that?"

Lincoln:"You know...maybe I could offer you a place to stay until you could head back."

Debby:"Oh, you don't have to do that. We don't want to be a burden."

Lincoln:"It's the least I can do after saving you. Believe it or not, I'm used to this kind of stuff happening."

Rufus:"We do need a place to lay low and the kid is offering."

Debby:"...I suppose you're right. Thank you...Lincoln."

Lincoln:"It's no problem at all."

And once again, Lincoln was caught in an unexpected hug, this time by all the kids. But he did appreciate it as soon after, he began to lead them home. As he did so, did he get to know them better.

Debby:"I'm Debby, by the way. (Gestures to the other kids) This is Rufus, Matthew, then there's Gina, Archie, Aaron, and Kelsey."

Rufus:"Hey."

Matthew:"Hi."

Gina:"Nice to meet ya."

Archie:"What she said."

Aaron:"Thanks again for saving us."

Kelsey:"Yeah. Real thanks."

Lincoln:"Nice to meet you all. And once again, you're welcome. We're almost at my house. It's just down the street."

Heading to the house, they could see outside, a ladder was leading up to the window of Lincoln's room.

Gina:"Uh. Why is there a ladder leading up to that window?"

Lincoln:"It's up to my room. The ladder got left there for some reason, and I used it to sneak out when I went on my walk. You guys go up first, and then I'll meet you inside."

Debby:"Thanks, Lincoln."

The teenage girl was the first to climb up and through the window, with Rufus, Gina, Archie, Aaron and Kelsey right behind her. When the got inside of Lincoln's room, they were a little taken back by how small it was, since it was a spare closet reconfigured into a room, but at least they had spam to breathe...barely. Matthew was the last to go in with Lincoln right behind him. But, the moment he tried to climb through the window...he got stuck.

Seeing this, Lincoln knew he had no choice but to start pushing Matthew with his hands on the outside, while on the inside, Archie and Kelsey were trying to pull him in.

Matthew:"(struggling)...Not again."

Back outside, Lincoln was still pushing, this time with his shoulder. But since that didn't seem to be working, he gave up and tried a different approach. Leaning back and pulling the ladder back with him, he had it balancing it on the two legs before leaning forward with some speed and with his left shoulder, rams the ladder into Matthew's behind, sending him through the window. The pudgy kid landed on top of the others, forming a pile that Lincoln stood on top of once he got inside.

Lincoln:"You guys okay?"

Matthew:"Yeah...thanks for pushing me through."

Lincoln:"No problem. But what did you mean by "not again"? Has this happened to you before?"

Matthew:"It wouldn't be the first time."

Archie:"Yep."

Gina:"It's happened before."

Rufus:"Too many times."

Kelsey:"So, Lincoln? (Looks around the room) Are we going to sleep in here?"

Lincoln:"Well, no. I'm not comfortable with roommates after the incident with my sister. We'll head down to the basement."

He opens the door to his room very slowly and quietly as he looks around the darkened hallway.

Lincoln:"(whispers to the kids) The rest of my family's asleep by now. We'll have to be quiet."

And with they, does he begin to lead the kids down the hallway and downstairs, tiptoeing throughout the house. Lincoln was leading them with Debby and Rufus behind him, and Matthew, Gina, Kelsey, Archie and Aaron behind them. They soon pass through the dining room, and the kitchen until the reach the basement door, which Lincoln opens and leads the kids inside. Too bad they could barely see anything with how dark it is.

Matthew:"It is pretty scary."

Gina:"Are we really gonna have to sleep down here?"

Lincoln:"You get used to how dark jt is down here. I know my sister and I are. But don't worry. I'll get you guys some sleeping bags so that you're comfortable."

And as Lincoln headed back upstairs, Rufus pulled out and lit up a lighter so that the kids could see a little in the dark.

Gina:"Do you guys think we can actually trust Lincoln?"

Debby:"Well, he does seem pretty nice. And he did save us."

Aaron:"Yeah. I say we owe him."

Archie:"Agreed."

Kelsey:"Yeah."

Rufus:"True. But we still can't stay here forever. We're gonna have to head back to the orphanage."

Matthew:"But what about those people who put us in a bag? They may still be out there."

Debby:"Then we'll just have to keep our eyes opened. Until then, we'll just have to stay with Lincoln for the time being."

They then heard the door open again, and Lincoln came down with a stack of sleeping bags in front of him that made it hard to see where he was going. He got them from the attic, and they were in the colors of dark green, ochre, and magenta.

Lincoln:"Here you go, you guys."

He passes one down to each of them, magenta for Debby, Rufus and Kelsey, dark green for Matthew and Archie and ochre for Aaron and Gina.

Lincoln:"I hope those are comfortable enough.

Debby:"Yes, they are, Lincoln. Thank you."

Lincoln:"Alright. I'm gonna head upstairs now. See you guys in the morning."

Debby:"Thanks again, Lincoln."

Matthew:"Yeah, you really helped us out."

Archie:"Thanks."

Kelsey:"Good night, Lincoln."

Gina:"Thanks again."

Aaron:"Yeah, thanks again."

And with that, Lincoln heads upstairs while the kids get themselves ready for bed.
