Here's the next chapter! This is a sequel to The Winter Dance! I don't know how long it's going to be, but it might not be a short story. This is going to be more about Kirishima, but with other classmates here and there. I highly recommend reading The Winter Dance, Class 1-A's Sleepover and A Beautiful View understand what's going on fully. Other than that, Enjoy!
Kirishima and his classmates followed Kendo all around Class 1-B's dormitory. Kendo could swear that she was in the common room, but then she remembered her leaving to go take care of something. She didn't say what it was, but it was definitely something important to her. One of their classmates said that they saw her leaving her dorm room, but didn't know where she went after that. Kendo let out a long sigh and kept going.
"Where could she have possibly gone running off to?" Kendo asked more to herself, "It's not like her to be doing this since I'm the Class Rep."
"Are you sure that she didn't mention anything to you about the love letter?" Uraraka asked her.
"I'm positive. She wouldn't go keeping these things a secret. She isn't exactly one to keep things bottled up," Kendo said to them.
"Oh. I've noticed," Ashido said back, remembering her poetic speech during the Sports Festival.
Kirishima was trying not to freak out as they followed Kendo all around their dormitory. Even if it was Shiozaki, he didn't know what he'd say to her. She seemed like a nice girl, but she didn't seem like his type. He barely ever talked to her so he didn't understand why she'd ever gain a crush on him. Maybe TetsuTetsu talked to her about him. He shook it off for now and kept going along with this new development.
"Hey Tsunotori," Kendo said to their pony like friend, "Have you seen Shiozaki? She better not have left campus."
Kirishima peeked over Ashido's shoulder and noticed how Tsunotori looked a little bit nervous. Whatever was going on, Kendo wasn't suppose to know about it. Tsunotori looked down at the floor, barely able to look at Kendo in the eyes.
"Tsunotori. What's going on? You've gotta let me know," Kendo said back to her, "As Class Rep., I need to know these things. Remember?"
"I-I'm sorry, Kendo. Shiozaki left the dormitory," Tsunotori said to her, "She told me not to say anything. Shiozaki looked like she was in a hurry."
Kendo looked like she was about to throw a punch at the wall. Even if this was about the love letter to Kirishima, she was still upset about Shiozaki leaving without permission. Kirishima could tell she wasn't someone that usually does this sort of thing.
"Please tell me where she is. This is important," Kendo said to her as she tried to stay calm.
"Shiozaki just told me that she was heading over to Gym Gamma," Tsunotori said back a little nervously, "She looked like she was in a hurry to see someone. Maybe a boyfriend or something?"
Kirishima's eyes widened as everyone else glanced at him. Now they were all confused.
"Boyfriend? Shiozaki doesn't have a boyfriend," Kendo said, pretending to laugh it off.
"I'm sorry Kendo, but I'm only talking about what I heard. She said something about having a crush on someone," Tsunotori said back.
Kendo was so confused, but let Tsunotori go. Once she was left, Kendo turned around to see everyone else just as confused as her.
"It can't be her. Why would Shiozaki be meeting you at Gym Gamma?" Kendo said to Kirishima, "You didn't even know about this, did you?"
"N-No! I barely even talk to her," Kirishima said to her.
"Whatever the reason, we still need to figure out what's going on exactly," Kendo said to them, "Come on. Shiozaki needs some explaining to do."
Kendo grabbed her jacket from the dining room that she left behind and left the dormitory. They all followed her towards Gym Gamma, and Kirishima was ready to see what was going on. Whatever it was, he could tell that Ashido was really enjoying this. Kirishima smiled, seeing how happy she was now that things were in motion. Luckily, it wasn't snowing and it was getting pretty warm out now compared this morning.
"Do you really think Shiozaki gave you that love letter?" Uraraka asked Kirishima.
Kirishima could feel the love letter tucked into his pocket. He pushed it down even more and tried to keep going with it being so windy and all.
"I-I'm not sure yet. Right now, it just seems like Shiozaki is keeping a secret from Kendo," Kirishima said to her.
"It is a little weird," Ashido said to them, "Why would she even keep a secret like this? There's gotta be a lot more going on with her or something."
"Whatever it is, Kendo is not going to be happy with her leaving without permission," Midoriya said to them, "She may be nothing like Iida, but she can definitely throw a punch when she wants to."
Kirishima was just lucky to have her helping them figure this out. Soon enough, Kirishima found himself right in front of Gym Gamma. Something about it felt bigger than usual for some reason. They all didn't see Shiozaki anywhere, so Kendo opened the door. It was a little heavy, so she used her quirk to make her hands bigger and swung it open. It caused the door to go flying by accident, making everyone jump.
"Oops. My bad," Kendo said as she watched it fall to the ground, "Mr. Sekijiro is not going to be happy with me damaging school property."
Kendo ran ahead into Gym Gamma along with Kirishima and the others. They found Shiozaki looking really confused and frightened by the door flying open. Kirishima noticed that she was in her gym uniform as if she was getting ready for some hero training.
"K-Kendo! W-What're you doing here on this fine day?" Shiozaki asked her looking a little nervous.
"Save it, Shiozaki. The question is why are you here? You didn't even ask permission from me to come out here," Kendo asked back.
"W-Well... I-I was just feeling a bit under the weather so I thought I might enjoy some hero training all to myself," Shiozaki said to her.
"You don't have to lie to us, Shiozaki," Ashido said back, "We know that you're out here waiting for someone. Tsunitori told us what is going on."
Shiozaki's eyes widened in shock and held her hands to her chest in defeat. She looked so upset, like she could cry at any moment.
"So, you know?" Shiozaki asked back, "You all know what's going on?"
Kendo was about to step in, but Kirishima stopped her for a moment. He smiled at her and felt like he could talk to her. Whatever she was going through right now, he felt like he could at least help her out somehow. Before he could take out the love letter however, someone came running up behind them.
They all turned around to see Tokoyami looking a little bit out of breath. Everyone dropped their jaws, shocked and dumbfounded to see him.
"T-Tokoyami?!" They all cried out in unison.
"Wha-What are you doing here?!" Ashido cried out.
Tokoyami looked so embarrassed to be there and didn't say anything for a moment. He walked into Gym Gamma, knowing that they would just run after him and keep bugging him about it. They could all see him blushing through his dark feathers and none of them understood what was going on. He walked up to Shiozaki who was just as embarrassed and shy as him.
"Shiozaki... What're you doing with Tokoyami?" Kendo asked with a confused look.
Shiozaki was really having a hard time trying to find the words to talk. Even Tokoyami was a little speechless as they all waited for someone to speak.
"T-Tokoyami and I have been... hanging a lot lately... Actually, ever since The Winter Dance.." Shiozaki confessed with a slight blemish across her face.
They all dropped their jaws at this shocking reveal. Even Ashido didn't see this coming.
"Y-You and To-Tokoyami?!" Kendo cried out, "B-But what exactly do you mean by, hanging out?!"
"We found out we have some things in common during The Winter Dance. Our dormitory can be a bit... public, so we've been hanging out here whenever we can. Whether it's just hero training or poetry and writing," Shiozaki tried to explain, "Kendo, you know how crazy our class is. This was the only way we could get some time away from them."
Kendo was absolutely speechless, and she couldn't stop staring at them. Even Ashido couldn't believe Tokoyami would do such a thing. She could have sworn that he liked Asui.
"B-But Tokoyami... A-Are you two...?" Ashido asked, a little nervous to even ask it.
Tokoyami seemed to understand what she was getting at based on his reaction. His blushing only got redder and brighter, and he even stepped away from her.
"To-Together...? N-No way, Ashido. S-She's just a good friend and a wonderful poet. We just couldn't have each other over without so many people assuming otherwise," Tokoyami tried to explain, "I'm sure some of you would understand that."
Kirishima understood what he was getting at. The love letter stuck out of his pocket, and he wondered what to do now. Then he realized that something about this didn't seem right. He took out the love letter and walked up to Shiozaki.
"Shiozaki. I just wanted to ask you something," Kirishima said a little nervously.
Shiozaki noticed that letter, and he noticed her recognize it. He felt something weird once she spotted it and knew that something about this felt like he might've found the right person after all.
"I-I found this love letter in my locker yesterday. Was it you who gave it to me?" Kirishima asked as his cheeks turned red like his hair.
Shiozaki's eyes widened, but she didn't react the way he thought she would. She laughed at him, making him blush even more.
"Y-You thought that I wrote that love letter to you?" Shiozaki pointed out, "Don't be ridiculous! I never had a crush on you!"
They all walked up to her, now feeling even more confused. Kirishima didn't understand what was going on, but something about this felt off. Even Ashido noticed Shiozaki and the way she worded it.
"Wait a minute. You said it as if you knew about it already," Ashido said to her, "That means you know who sent it to Kirishima. I bet you even helped write it."
They all looked at Shiozaki with a slight blush around her face. Kirishima realized right then and there that Shiozaki might not have had a crush on him, but she knew who started this whole thing in the first place.
"So, you wrote this for someone?" Kirishima asked her.
Shiozaki couldn't take it anymore and let out a long exhale in defeat.
"No. I didn't," Shiozaki confessed, "I just helped. I gave them some tools to write calligraphy. They even asked for some tips on writing poetry."
"So, you helped write the love letter?" Kendo asked Shiozaki.
"Yes... I'm ashame to say I did..." Shiozaki confessed, "I couldn't help it. It was so romantic... To help write such a beautiful and thoughtful letter to someone that they admire and respect... I just had to help when they sent me a text..."
"Wait, doesn't that mean that you know who wrote this to Kirishima?" Midoriya asked her.
"No. I actually don't. They wanted to keep it anonymous," Shiozaki said to them, "Something about wanting to keep it on the down low and private."
Kirishima slumped his shoulders, thinking that he might actually figure out who it was. He looked at the love letter, knowing full well that Shiozaki wasn't the one who wrote it, but it did help in some way.
"Don't give up, Kirishima," Ashido said as she comforted him, "I'm sure we'll find that admirer of yours soon. We're getting closer."
"Yeah. I'm just surprised that Shiozaki and Tokoyami are friends and are hanging out together," Uraraka said back with a smile.
"It is kind of crazy that they would do all of this just to hang out with each other," Kendo said back as she turned back to Shiozaki, "But next time, let me know when you're leaving to go see him."
"Y-Yes, Kendo!" Shiozaki said with a big smile, "Besides, Tokoyami doesn't like me in a romantic way. He said so himself. Tokoyami is in love with--"
"Shi-Shiozaki! You said that you'd keep that secret between us and only us," Tokoyami interrupted.
Then his Dark Shadow came out of no where and flew towards the others.
"He's in love with Asui, heh heh," Dark Shadow confessed with a laugh.
Tokoyami felt himself blushing even more and tried to get Dark Shadow back and away from everyone else. Kirishima and everyone else weren't surprised, but they definitely didn't expect to find out so soon.
"It's about time, Tokoyami," Ashido said with a knowing look.
Tokoyami could barely look at them now. Kirishima was just glad that everything turned out to be okay.
"Pl-Please don't say anything..." Tokoyami mumbled in embarrassment.
"Of course, Tokoyami," Uraraka said with a smile, "We wouldn't want things to get out of hand. Right Ashido?"
"Hey! I won't say anything!" Ashido cried out, "Tokoyami isn't the one sending a love letter to her. We'll let him do his thing, and we'll do our own thing as long as he doesn't say anything about our thing."
"I promise I won't say anything about the love letter," Tokoyami said to them, "It looks like you have something special coming your way, Kirishima."
"Uhh... Yeah, right," Kirishima said back with a sweat drop forming above his forehead, "Well, we'll see you later Tokoyami."
Kirishima and the others headed out of Gym Gamma, but Kirishima could hear Tokoyami mumble something in the back before leaving.
"Forbidden Gardens..."
After what felt like a long morning, Kirishima was finally back in Class 1-A's dormitory. He felt himself relax in one of the couches in the common room along with Ashido. Midoriya and Uraraka went to go get some snacks and drinks while they rested. Kirishima still couldn't believe that he just found Tokoyami and Shiozaki both together in Gym Gamma. They weren't a couple or anything, but it was still weird.
Kendo left Gym Gamma to go handle things back at Class 1-B's dormitory, so they waved her off and thanked her for her help. Kendo even promised that she wouldn't say anything. Kirishima was so grateful for her help and hoped things with Monoma would be fine.
"Well, that was interesting," Ashido said to him.
"Yeah... interesting..." Kirishima mumbled more to himself.
He felt the love letter poking out of his pocket and looked around the common room. No one was around, and it was quiet. Everyone had gone to do either homework or went to Gym Gamma to do some hero training. He pulled it out and opened it. It was all crumbled up as he looked it over again. Now knowing that Shiozaki helped somewhat, he wondered who could've possibly reached out to her. Whoever it was really didn't want him to find out that it was them.
"Who the hell do you think this could possibly be, Ashido?" Kirishima asked her, "At this point, it could be anyone."
"Not necessarily," Ashido pointed out, "Let me look at that letter again."
Kirishima gave it to her, and Ashido looked at it some more. Then he noticed her pointing at something on the letter.
"See there. It says, Ever since The Winter Dance... That means it has to be a first year. The Winter Dance is for first years only," Ashido explained, "So, it's still within our reach. Nothing's really changed, we can still find this admirer of yours."
Kirishima slumped his shoulders once he realized that they were back to square one. Shiozaki didn't even know who asked for the calligraphy tools. Something told him whoever it was, it was possible that it was still someone in their class.
"Maybe it really was someone from our class," Kirishima said as he relaxed onto the couch, "Whoever it was, they are definitely careful about keeping it a secret."
Something that he said made Ashido come up with a great idea. She stood up straight, making Kirishima jump.
"Geez, Ashido! Warn a guy next time," Kirishima said to her.
"Kirishima. That's it!" Ashido said with a big smile, "We just need to somehow get the secret out. They don't want this getting out, then that means we need to come up with something that will get them out of hiding!"
"And how are you going to do that exactly?" Kirishima asked her with a confused look.
Ashido gave him a huge smile, giving him a feeling that she knew what she was doing.
"I'll be right back, Kirishima! Don't go anywhere," Ashido said as she ran down the hallways, "I've got a plan! Hopefully it'll work!"
Kirishima was so confused, but he went along with it. Something told him that she was having way too much fun with this, but it kind of made him feel a lot better having her tag along. He definitely wouldn't be having as much fun doing this all by himself, that's for sure.
"Where did Ashido go? I saw her run off into the dorm rooms," Uraraka asked Kirishima as they headed over there with snacks and drinks.
"She apparently has a plan to lure the secret admirer out of hiding," Kirishima explained to them.
"That's a great idea, but what would she even have to actually pull this off?" Midoriya asked back.
Kirishima grabbed some popcorn and threw it in his mouth.
"I have no idea."
