Here's the next chapter! This is a sequel to The Winter Dance! I don't know how long it's going to be, but it might not be a short story. This is going to be more about Kirishima, but with other classmates here and there. I highly recommend reading The Winter Dance, Class 1-A's Sleepover and A Beautiful View to understand what's going on fully. Other than that, Enjoy!
After sitting around the common room for a long time, Kirishima wondered what was up with Ashido. She said she'd be downstairs in a minute, but it had been a half hour. He sat there eating popcorn with Midoriya and Uraraka, even they both wondered where she was and what she was doing exactly.
"What could Ashido be doing up there?" Midoriya asked them.
"At this point, I don't even want to know," Uraraka said back as she threw some popcorn into her mouth.
Kirishima looked back at the hallway and thought that she might be trying to come up with a plan. Whatever it was, he just wanted in on it. He stood up from the couch and headed over there.
"Are you going to find out what's she up to?" Uraraka asked him, "Do you want us to come with you?"
"That's okay. I need to go to my dorm room first anyway," Kirishima said to them, "I'll be right back."
Kirishima grabbed his school bag and headed back to his room. Once he entered the elevator and the door closed, he felt like he could finally relax. As he headed up to his room, he remembered that his wall was damaged from Ashido freaking him out earlier. He had totally forgotten all about that and wondered if Mr. Aizawa knows about it yet. He let out a long sigh and knew that he'd have to talk to him about it sooner or later.
Once the elevator doors opened, he walked out to see Bakugo's door cracked open. Kirishima was confused to see it slightly open. He couldn't help, but look inside to see if Bakugo was in there.
"Bakugo, are you in there?" Kirishima asked him.
He peeked, realizing that he wasn't even in there. Kirishima wondered if he was in a rush to go do some hero training. He thought that it was bizarre to see his door cracked open like this. Bakugo wasn't really someone that left his room open for anyone to go inside. Kirishima leaned in a little more just to make sure he wasn't sleeping.
Bakugo was no where to be found.
"Maybe he went out for a jog," Kirishima said to himself.
In the corner of his eye, Kirishima spotted his school bag on the floor. It was just laying there as if he had just thrown it down. Kirishima then spotted something peeking out of it and looked a little closer. It looked like a romantic novel, which surprised him. Kirishima never thought that Bakugo would ever be into that sort of thing until now. He clearly didn't want anyone to know about it if he'd never seen it before.
Then for a moment, something clicked.
Kirishima felt something weird in his chest the moment he touched the novel. He put it back as if he had never touched it. As he left, he decided to leave it open just in case he might notice something off. Kirishima ran out of there and quickly entered his room before anyone saw him. Once he closed the door behind him, it felt like his heart was racing.
Kirishima tried to calm down, but he couldn't seem to stop freaking out. He had just found a romantic novel in his friend's school bag, but it didn't mean anything. It could've just been a random novel that he was interested in. Nothing more than that.
"Bakugo... There's no way..." Kirishima said to himself.
Kirishima's face turned bright red, thinking about Bakugo actually being into that sort of stuff. He tried to shake it off, but it wouldn't go away. He dropped his school bag onto the floor, ready to head out. Before he could leave however, something fell from the hinge in between his door and the frame. Kirishima's eyes widened in shock, realizing what it was.
It was another love letter.
Kirishima could barely even move as it just sat there on the floor. It even had his name written on the front, just like last time.
His shaky hand reached out for it and slowly picked it up. He opened it up and took it out, knowing that it was going to be quite the letter.
To Eijiro,
I can't stop thinking about you. All I ever wanted was to be with you and know that you probably don't feel the same way. I see you hero training and wonder if you ever think about me. Sometimes I even think about holding your hand when no one is looking. I know that this is cheesy and maybe even romantic, but I just needed to let you know how I feel about you.
I still can't get myself to tell you who I am. Maybe someday soon. Just not today.
Kirishima's eyes widened at how weird it felt reading this after seeing Bakugo's romantic novel. His face felt so hot that he could swear there was smoke coming off of him. He ran into his bathroom and splashed some cold water on his face. It actually felt really refreshing, so he kept doing it. For a long moment, he just stood there with his head hanging over the sink.
Once he was able to calm down, he grabbed the other love letter. He quickly shoved it into his school bag and headed back towards the common room. Kirishima was able to get out of the hallway without anyone noticing him. He even somehow avoided Bakugo showing up at the last minute and entered the elevator no problem. Kirishima couldn't wait for Ashido any longer and went straight to her room.
He made his way around to the floor that she was on and soon found himself right in front of her door. Before he could knock, she opened the door and almost bumped into him.
"Oh! Kirishima, you scared me," Ashido said to him.
Then Ashido noticed how red he looked and wondered what could've possibly happened down in the common room.
"Kirishima, what're you..."
She spotted something in his hand as he pulled it out of his school bag. It was another love letter. Her golden eyes couldn't look away from it and pulled him into her room. She quickly closed the door, making sure no one else knew about this.
"No way. Is that...?" Ashido asked him.
"Ye-Yeah. I found it in my room," Kirishima told her, "It was between the door and the frame so no one was actually in my room."
"Oh my gosh! Th-This is amazing!" Ashido cried out, "They reached out to you again!"
Kirishima felt himself start to get all flustered again since he couldn't get Bakugo out of his head now. He scratched the back of his head, trying to get this stuff about Bakugo out of the way.
"Did you read it yet?" Ashido asked a little too eagerly.
"Y-Yes. I did," Kirishima confessed, feeling a little warm again.
"And...?" Ashido said back leaning in closer.
Kirishima could smell her strawberries and vanilla scent coming off of her which just made him even more confused. He felt himself heating up again and just gave her the love letter without hesitation. Ashido was confused, but grabbed it anyway. He watched her read the letter, but tried not to pay too much attention to her reaction.
"Kirishima! This is so romantic!" Ashido cried out with sparkling eyes, "I can't believe it!"
Kirishima just found all of this even more weird seeing her so excited over this. They went out together during The Winter Dance, and now she was getting excited over finding out who liked him. Something about it just didn't feel right.
"Aren't you a little weirded out by this?" Kirishima asked her, "I mean... we did go out together during The Winter Dance."
Ashido stopped squealing and noticed how embarrassed and confused he looked. She looked down at the floor wondering if maybe he noticed something off about her.
"What do you mean? I'm just helping out a friend," Ashido said back, "I know that you'd do the same thing for me, Kirishima."
Kirishima's eyes widened and felt his stomach flutter from what she just said. Something about the way she looked at him made him wonder if she might've been feeling the same way. He really wanted to just tell her how he felt about her, but this love letter was getting in the way of that. He looked down at the letter and then up at her. If it really was Bakugo, then he really didn't know what to do.
"Ashido... there's something I need to tell you..." Kirishima said to her, feeling a little embarrassed.
Ashido looked up at him with the most amazing smile on her face. Just looking at her made him all flustered inside, and he could barely get the words out. He felt like he was finally going to say something, but then an image of Bakugo got in the way. Kirishima couldn't get that stupid novel out of his head, but he felt like he had to say something.
"I found something in Bakugo's room, and it made me wonder if maybe... he is the one..." Kirishima said trailing off, a little nervous to say anything more than that.
Ashido's eyes widened with so much excitement, but she didn't actually do anything. She didn't even squeal or cheer for him. She just stood there looking a little thrown off, like it's not what she was expecting. She soon sat down on her desk chair, trying to catch her breath.
Kirishima was kind of confused as to why she wasn't freaking out now. Just a moment ago, she was so excited for him. And now, she was quiet and didn't know what to say.
"Ashido, what's going on?" Kirishima asked her.
"N-Nothing... It's nothing," Ashido said back, "I just... want to find out who sent you the love letter. If it's important to you, then it's important to me too."
Kirishima felt like his heart skipped a beat when she looked up at him with those golden eyes. She really cared about him, and he definitely felt like they at least needed to figure out if it really was Bakugo or not.
"Thank you Ashido for helping me," Kirishima said to her through a blush across his face.
"Hey, Horn buddies need to stick together, right?" Ashido said back with her tongue sticking out.
Kirishima couldn't help but smile at how cute she was.
"Right."
After a moment of finally settling down, Ashido remembered what she was planning on doing. She then realized since Kirishima might've stumbled upon Bakugo possibly being the secret admirer. If this were true, then she knew what to do.
Kirishima noticed Ashido turn on her phone and scrolling through it pretty quickly. She looked like she was looking for something specific. Then he noticed her eyes sparkling with a devious plan. He wasn't liking where this was heading and wondering what she was looking at.
"Ashido, what exactly are you planning on doing?" Kirishima asked her, knowing full well that she was not backing out of this now.
"Oh, it's nothing. Just a little something that might help us figure out if the secret admirer is Bakugo or not," Ashido explained with a big smile on her face.
"Please at least let me know what you're planning on doing," Kirishima said to her.
Ashido gave him a you asked for it look and turned her phone over to him. His eyes widened with embarrassment and confusion when he saw something he thought he would never see again.
It was a picture of Bakugo accidentally kissing Kirishima during the sleepover they had the other day. Ashido laughed as she held her phone, clearly remembering Spin The Bottle and how well it all seemed to work out. That is until Bakugo showed up.
Kirishima tried to swipe it away from her, but she was too quick for him and pulled it away.
"Ah ah ah. There's no way you are getting your hands on my phone," Ashido said back to him.
"Where did you get these pictures?! Mineta lost these!" Kirishima cried out with a slight blush across his cheeks.
"How do you think? I sent them to my phone when he was sleeping and deleted them afterwards," Ashido said with a big and devious smile.
"Ashido! You are not suppose to have these!" Kirishima cried out, still trying to take her phone from her.
"Oh come on. You'd do the same thing. These pictures are gold, especially for our first year!" Ashido cried out as she held it up high.
Kirishima felt so uncomfortable even talking about Bakugo possibly being his secret admirer, and now Ashido was bringing up these pictures from their sleepover. He tried to shake off this feeling again and went back to her plan.
"What exactly are you planning on doing with these pictures, Ashido?" Kirishima asked her, "I'm sure Bakugo would not be happy to find out that you have these."
"Exactly," Ashido said to him with the same devious smile, "We're going to use this picture of you and Bakugo to lure him out. Just to make sure that it's him."
Kirishima felt himself heat up, remembering how weird it felt to kiss his friend. It felt not as weird as he thought it would for some reason.
"I don't want these pictures to get out, Ashido!" Kirishima cried out, "This sleepover was fun and all, but this is not something you should be messing with. Maybe we should plan something else."
Ashido slumped her shoulders, feeling a little disappointed. Kirishima didn't like seeing her so upset, but he did wonder if this picture might help him. Bakugo definitely seemed to be keeping a distance from him ever since the sleepover. Even after the body swap incident, he'd been a little more quiet around him for some reason. The Winter Dance was fun, especially when he danced with Ashido. He remembered dancing to some pop and rock n' roll music with Bakugo as well. Something came up however when he remembered Bakugo looking away from him when Ashido came up to him.
Something about that moment didn't seem to bother him at the time, but thinking about it now he wondered if it meant something to him. Kirishima started to wonder if Bakugo actually liked him, which made his heart skip a beat.
"Fine. You win, Ashido," Kirishima said to her, "You can use the picture. Just don't put them on the internet or send them to the group chat."
Ashido grinned widely and squealed with delight. He smiled at her and felt so much better just watching her freak out.
"Thank you, Kirishima! I promise I won't do anything like that! Oh man, Bakugo is going to freak out when he sees this," Ashido said as she opened up her phone.
Kirishima wondered how Ashido was going to go about this and joined in on what she was doing. He tried not to stand so close to her, but looked over her shoulder. She opened up her photos file and looked through them. Soon she found the picture of him and Bakugo kissing. She smiled at it and clicked on it to send to Bakugo. Then he realized what she was about to do and stopped her.
"Wait. We can't send this to him," Kirishima said to her, "He'll know that it's from you. He has you in his contacts, right?"
Ashido realized this and stomped her foot in defeat. She thought about it some more and wondered how to send it to him without him knowing who did it. Ashido knew that he would come after them so fast once he saw this. Then she thought of something even more crazier. She smiled up at Kirishima and got off of her photos file and went to a different app.
She had switched it to something Kirishima didn't recognize. She somehow picked the picture in the app and pressed print. Then something started to make a noise on her desk. A small picture was being printed through some sort of mini printer. Kirishima didn't even know that she had something like that, but then noticed she that had little pictures of her friends everywhere in her room.
Soon the picture was printed, and Ashido pulled it out with a wide grin.
