Here's the next chapter! This is a sequel to The Winter Dance! I don't know how long it's going to be, but it might not be a short story. This is going to be more about Kirishima, but with other classmates here and there. I highly recommend reading The Winter Dance, Class 1-A's Sleepover and A Beautiful View to understand what's going on fully. Other than that, Enjoy!
"This is perfect! We can send this to him through his locker in the morning with a letter," Ashido said to him.
"Are you sure about this? Midoriya and Uraraka don't even know about this plan," Kirishima said back.
"I'm sure. We'll let them know about it," Ashido told him, "We still need to write a letter anyway. They can help out with that."
Ashido headed out of her room with a pen, paper and envelope and carefully tucked it into her pocket. Kirishima followed her out of her room, ready to start the plan. Bakugo was definitely keeping something from him, but hoped that something would good would come from this. As him and Ashido headed downstairs, they both stood in the elevator quietly.
Ashido kept looking at the photo, and Kirishima was a little worried about her carrying that around in the common room. She soon tucked it away into her pocket and the elevator door opened. They both noticed that some of their classmates and friends were back from either Gym Gamma or their rooms. Kirishima got nervous, but still stuck with Ashido just in case the photo fell out of her pocket.
"Hey Ashido, Kirishima!" Iida yelled out with his arm waving around, "How was Class 1-B this morning?"
"Oh, yeah. They were doing great," Kirishima said back with a smile, "Kendo and TetsuTetsu are just so glad things are turning out great for us and them as a class."
"That's great to hear," Iida said back with a smile.
"I saw Tokoyami and Shiozaki hanging out together in Gym Gamma. I didn't even know that they were friends," Sero said to them, "Did you two know that?"
"Yeah! Isn't that so cool?" Ashido cried out, "I'm just so glad that Tokoyami finally has a friend outside of our class."
"I guess. I just didn't expect him to keep a secret like this," Sero said back, "It looked like they were doing some sort of poetry writing or meeting. Whatever it was, it was pretty weird to see them together."
Ashido couldn't help but laugh at how funny it all was. Seeing them together was the best thing she had ever seen today.
"So, what're you two up to?" Sero asked them, "Hopefully something juicy."
Kirishima and Ashido both looked at each other and tried so hard not to show any sign that he was right. Ashido inconspicuously tucked her hand into her pocket, trying to hide the picture. Kirishima was just glad that no one had found them doing something unusual or out of the ordinary.
"Nah. There's not much going on today," Ashido said back, "Just boring stuff, but I did notice Bakugo acting a little strange earlier. Did you talk to him at all recently?"
Kirishima noticed her trying to get something from Sero, just to see if there was any more information that they might be able to use.
"Actually, we both saw him heading out for a jog, or at least that's what it seemed like," Sero said to them as Midoriya and Uraraka joined them in the conversation, "He just seemed like he was in hurry. Iida tried to talk to him, but he didn't say much to him."
"I actually stopped him from leaving, but he didn't even yell at me like he usually does," Iida said to them, "Something is definitely going on with him."
Kirishima felt his heart skip a beat, and Ashido noticed him stiffen up. She tried not to say anything or burst out laughing, so instead she pulled him aside.
"Okay, well Kirishima promised me he'd help me with some homework. Even Midoriya and Uraraka said that they'd join us earlier. Iida wouldn't want us to slack on our homework, right Iida?" Ashido said to them as she wrapped her arm around his.
"Of course, I wouldn't want anyone to be slacking on any sort of homework or hero training," Iida said to them as he waved his arm at them, "Go ahead. Yaoyorozu and Sato are planning on making dinner tonight just so you know."
"Okay Iida. We'll finish before then," Kirishima said to them.
Kirishima and the others headed towards Midoriya's room. Midoriya said that it was fine to do this in his room, considering Bakugo's room was right next to Kirishima's. Ashido didn't want him eavesdropping in on their conversations, especially since they haven't seen him coming back inside.
Once they settled down into Midoriya's room, Kirishima and Ashido were about to tell them everything about Bakugo and the other love letter. Kirishima felt a little uncomfortable talking about Bakugo like this, but he had to know for sure that it was actually him.
"So. What exactly is going on between you two?" Uraraka asked them.
Kirishima was a little throw off for a moment, but then he realized that she meant the plan. He shook it off, and Ashido took over and pulled out the picture. Midoriya and Uraraka looked at it and were so embarrassed and shocked to see it once again. Kirishima could tell they weren't expecting any of this for the plan, even Uraraka's face looked confused for a moment.
"Ashido, how do you have this?" Uraraka asked her friend, "I thought Mineta lost them..."
Uraraka then realized what had happened during the sleepover, and her eyes widened even more.
"You took them?!" Uraraka cried out.
"Yeah, yeah. Kirishima and I went through this already. Now is not the time to freak out about this. You're just lucky that I kept this at all considering Bakugo being a part of this now--"
"Wa-Wait a minute, Kacchan...? What do you mean he's a part of this now?" Midoriya asked them, clearly a little thrown off.
Kirishima was a little nervous talking about this with them, especially Midoriya. He'd known him for a lot longer than him, so it felt weird to talk about Bakugo in this sort of situation. Even Uraraka was starting to become friends with him. After the body swap incident, he had noticed that they've been getting along a lot more. He could feel himself getting flustered again, but fought through and told them the truth.
"I found something tucked between my door and the hinges. It turned out to be another love letter," Kirishima confessed as he took it out of his school bag.
He put it on the coffee table, and Midoriya and Uraraka were still confused.
"B-But what does this have to do with Bakugo?" Uraraka asked them, "If anything, anyone could've put the love letter by your room."
"I actually found the door cracked open to his room. I didn't mean to find it, but I found a romantic novel poking out of his school bag. Then I realized that he's been acting a little more distant around me since the sleepover," Kirishima tried to explain, "Uraraka, you've been friends with him a little more recently. Has he mentioned anything to you about this?"
Uraraka took a moment to think it over, but he noticed that she seemed to know nothing.
"No. He never mentioned anything about a romantic novel," Uraraka said to him, "He didn't even borrow anything like that from me."
"K-Kacchan, reading a romantic novel? That's new," Midoriya said looking a little red around his face.
"That still doesn't prove anything though," Uraraka said back, "You shouldn't be looking through other people's things even if he is your friend."
"I'm sorry, but his door was left open. You have to admit, that's pretty strange for Bakugo to leave it open like that," Kirishima said back.
Uraraka and Midoriya both shared a look, and she took the love letter to read it with him. Kirishima watched them reading the love letter and something about this one just felt slightly different from the other one. This one felt more natural and personal compared to the other one. Kirishima wondered if they at all felt like Bakugo might be able to write something like this.
"Th-This is..." Midoriya said as he trailed off.
"I can't picture Bakugo actually writing any of this. He never mentioned like this to me," Uraraka said back, "But it is very sweet that someone thinks of you like this."
"Even if it's not Bakugo, we still want to narrow it down a bit," Ashido explained, "Besides, it'd be kind of funny to see his reaction to this picture. Don't you think?"
"Come on, Ashido. You can't be this stupid," Uraraka said back, "Even Kaminari wouldn't do something like this."
"Don't worry about it, Uraraka. He's not going to know that it's from me," Ashido said to her.
"Yeah, but he'll definitely think that Kirishima wrote it," Midoriya said to them, "He'd just go after Kirishima since he will obviously think that he's the only one that knows about this love letter."
Kirishima didn't even about that at all when talking to Ashido about it.
"Y-Yeah, but he won't because he doesn't want anyone else to know about the love letters," Ashido tried to explain with a sweat drop forming on top of her forehead.
"You don't know that he even is the secret admirer. You still don't have any proof," Midoriya said to them.
Kirishima and Ashido both looked at each other and felt a little defeated. They really thought they had something here, but maybe not. Then Ashido stood up straight with a determined look on her face. Kirishima knew just by looking at her, he didn't like where this was going. She turned towards her door and ran out of her room.
Kirishima didn't expect that and everyone ran after her.
"A-Ashido! Wait up!" Kirishima cried out.
Kirishima and the others ran after her and almost didn't make it to the elevator in time. They all squeezed their way through and noticed Ashido looking really determined to do something. Just by the look on her face, he knew exactly what she was getting at.
"Ashido, I know what you're planning on doing. Please don't do it," Kirishima said to her, "Bakugo could show up at any moment."
"I don't care about that. I just need to take a peek in his room," Ashido said to them, "If Bakugo's there, we'll just leave."
"Ashido, I don't think you should be bothering Kacchan," Midoriya said back, "He's not exactly in the mood today I've noticed."
The elevator door opened, and they were already heading towards Bakugo's dorm room. Ashido could already tell that Bakugo was still out just based on his door being cracked open. She walked over there, but made sure to check inside before entering.
Bakugo was still no where to be found.
"Ashido, we really shouldn't be in here," Kirishima said to her as she tried to look through his things.
"Quit your worrying. How about help me look around instead so we can get out of here quicker," Ashido said to them.
They all agreed, but still didn't like doing it. Uraraka could barely touch his things because she felt weird looking through his stuff. They were friends now, so it didn't feel right. Kirishima looked through a couple of things on his desk, but didn't spot anything suspicious. Ashido was looking under his bed to see if he threw anything under there. All she could find was some exercise weights and a bin of clothes.
Kirishima didn't end up finding anything weird. Then something caught the corner of his eye. It was something sticking out of the trash, and he couldn't help but reach in and grab it. His stomach tightened when he saw what it turned out to be.
It was a calligraphy pen.
"N-No way..." Kirishima mumbled as his face turned bright red.
"What? What did you find?" Ashido asked him as she looked over at him.
"What the hell are you all doing in my room?!"
Kirishima instinctively hid the calligraphy pen behind him and turned around to see Bakugo. He was wearing his gym uniform, and he looked pissed.
"H-Hey Bakugo! We were just looking for you," Ashido said to him, "We heard that you needed help with your homework."
Bakugo looked about ready to let off a few explosions in his room. Ashido backed off and tried to get out of there. Bakugo stood in the way, looking really angry at even Midoriya being in his room. Uraraka tried to step up and explain things, but he barely paid attention to her. Then he spotted Kirishima, and his face began to turn a little red. Their eyes locked onto one another, and Kirishima didn't know what to think of it.
"Ki-Kirishima...?" Bakugo said without realizing it.
His voice was less intense and more soft spoken. Kirishima stood there, feeling a little nervous that he might reveal himself to be the secret admirer. Bakugo didn't say anything, but also couldn't look away from him. Then he looked away from him and tried to hide his red face.
"Go. Get out of here," Bakugo growled at them, but more towards Kirishima.
They all hesitated, and Kirishima felt really bad for doing this.
"Bakugo... I--"
"I said get the hell out of here, Kirishima!" Bakugo yelled out.
Kirishima and the others ran out of there, leaving Bakugo behind. Uraraka felt really bad for being a part of this considering they were friends. He felt really bad for rummaging through his room as he held what he found. They all ran into the elevator and caught their breaths as they headed back to Midoriya's room. Once Ashido could finally relax, she looked at Kirishima.
"Well, that was a close one. What did you find, Kirishima?" Ashido asked.
Kirishima still felt really bad for doing this, but he finally felt like he had a lead. His cheeks turned red as he held the calligraphy pen to show it to everyone in the elevator. Ashido, Midoriya and Uraraka's eyes widened in shock to see something like that coming from Bakugo's room.
"No way... Is that...?" Ashido said trailing off.
"Y-Yes. It's a calligraphy pen," Kirishima said back with shaky hands, "I found it in his trashcan. It's broken though."
"Kirishima, that has to mean that Bakugo is your secret admirer," Ashido said to him with a slight squeal.
"It's just a calligraphy pen though," Uraraka said to them, "Izuku, it can't be that weird that he has one of those. Right?"
Midoriya looked like he'd never seen something like this before. Kirishima could tell even he was having a hard time trying to understand what was going on here.
"W-Well, Kacchan isn't one to have stuff like that just thrown away. If Kirishima found that in the trash, then it's definitely possible that it's him," Midoriya said to them.
It was quiet for a moment as they all tried to figure out what to do next.
"Now what?" Uraraka asked them.
"Well, we should get back to our plan," Ashido said as the elevator door opened, "Send a letter to Bakugo with that picture and see..."
Kirishima noticed Ashido stop in her tracks as she noticed something missing in her pocket. She frantically patted down on all of her pockets, but didn't find anything. Kirishima's stomach tightened when he noticed what she was doing.
"Ashido, please don't tell me..." Kirishima said to her with a shaky voice.
Ashido gave him a look that told him something was missing. They all ran into Midoriya's room, remembering the last time they saw the picture. Then they all noticed that they accidentally left Midoriya's door open. It was wide open.
Once they entered, the stuff to write the love letter was still there. But the picture of Bakugo and Kirishima kissing was missing.
They all looked at Ashido, knowing full well that someone had found it.
"Oopsie..."
