Chapter 25
The attack stopped just as suddenly they'd begun, the three crafts hung over the city. Ten minutes after the last explosion, several Metropolis news stations were hijacked.
"People of earth, we are here on behalf of the royal guard of Tameran, it has been found that your planet currently harbors a fugitive known as Koriand'r, Tameran does not wish war with your planet, but should you refuse to turn over or cooperate with the capture of this fugitive, we will take this as a sign that earth is waging war with Tameran."
Titan Tower
The Titans rushed back to the tower as soon as the first explosion struck, the message had just finished for the third time.
"We can't just hand her over" Barbara said,
"This is my problem, I won't let earth suffer because of me" Kori argued,
"We're not letting them take you" Dick said "We'll set up to meet them at the airport just outside the city, force them onto our turf, that'll give us at least 1 advantage" He turned to address the whole group "Suit up, briefing in 5."
Kori, Garfield, and Kara stood in their grey Titan's uniforms, Rachel wore the same uniform with a dark blue cloak and a pair of red tinted sunglasses added, Donna had her red, blue and gold wonder girl suit, Barbara and DIck stood at the front of the briefing room in their Batgirl and Robin suit's.
"Ok we'll be splitting into two teams, Dick, Kori, Kara, and I will go to the airport and set up a meeting there" Barbara began "Donna, Garfield you 2 will begin search and rescue, Rachel you'll stay here and monitor the situation from the tower"
"What? Why?" Rachel asked looked from Barbara to Dick,
"We just think it's best for you ok?" Dick answered,
"That's bullshit, you don't sideline your most powerful player" She turned back to Barbara "Come on, tell him" She demanded, Barbara hesitated for a second,
"It was my call, Rachel, Dick isn't happy about it either, but it's for your protection" Barbara insisted,
"What the shit? Outside of Kara I'm the most powerful member of the team," Rachel shouted,
"And you don't have full control of those powers, which could put everyone in danger most of all you" Barbara unintentionally raised her voice,
"Fine," Rachel spat.
Donna and Garfield got into her car, while Barbara and Dike climbed onto their motorcycle's, Kori and Kara flew close behind them,
"Ok, looks like the fire station in new city got hit by 1 of the explosions, their trapped and have sent out a request for help, Garfield, Donna, if you guys want to help them out, you can pair to evacuate civilians" Rachel's voice came through the team's ear pieces,
"We're on it" Donna responded breaking off from the rest of the team,
"Dick" Rachel said,
"Go for it," He replied,
"4 U.S Military choppers are inbound, they'll be landing just off Slander's bridge, they just made radio contact" Rachel said, Dick looked to Barbara,
"You should go meet them at their landing zone, I can take care of the airport" Barbara called over to Dick, who nodded,
"Ok, tell them I'll be there to meet them" Dick said to Rachel,
"I'll let them know" She answered before cutting off her headpiece.
