Author's Note: Posting an extra update. Originally, this had been combined with the the last one, but as I was editing it felt like the longer chapter should be split. Also, we have more three more chapters after this one before Kellie finds out Charles is alive. I'll give that much away. Happy reading!

Greenland Airport

In the commotion at the airport, Charles managed to slip off to the men's restroom. He went into a stall for several minutes until someone entered the stall next to him and slipped a duffel bag underneath the divide to Charles and left.

Charles opened the bag to find several changes of clothes, a phone, toiletries, and a shaving kit. Charles shaved and then changed into a pair of slacks and pullover sweater. He put the clothes in the bag and turned on the phone which had instruction to board a private plane."

After leaving the restroom, Charles made his way to the terminal where private planes would take off. He boarded the plane and sat down. Then he buried his face in his hands, unaware that someone else had boarded the plane.

When Charles finally looked up, he was startled to see Maximus sitting across from him.

"I did not expect to see you in person," Charles said.

"It's not every day I get a phone call from Anna Devane that my brother came back from the dead," Maximus said, "Of course, I had to see you in person."

"And make sure I am who I say I am," Charles said.

"I've been watching you since you got to the airport," Maximus said, "It's you."

"I'm sure it's not quite that easy," Charles said.

"Lorenzo Alcazar has already requested DNA testing and comparisons to dental records," Maximus said, "He's insistent on that before you set foot in Port Charles or Kellie's told."

"I'm glad he and I can agree on that," Charles said, "For ensuring Kellie and the grandkids are protected if this does turn out to be something more nefarious. But how does Lorenzo know about me already?"

"Detective Falconari was informed of your impending return to Port Charles as someone who could monitor you for any signs of brainwashing," Maximus said, "He sought out Lorenzo's counsel about telling Kellie the news."

"We do need to discuss the possibility of brainwashing," Charles said, "I'm not even sure I should be returning to Port Charles without being certain that it's not an issue. The Cassadines are known for that."

"We're just waiting for cousin Luca to come along with the doctor to board," Maximus said, "The doctor can perform an initial examination as well as the needed DNA test all while we fly over the Atlantic. Luca is a therapist. He specializes in hypnosis. I feel fairly confident he can put to rest any fears you might have with regards to brainwashing."

Charles nodded, lost in thought for a moment.

"Do you happen to know if Dr. Monica Quartermaine is still in Port Charles," Charles asked.

"Yes," Maximus said, "She's been busy as a member of the hospital board. You'll probably want to break the news sooner than later."

"Her sons, Drew or Jason might tell her once it's out the in open," Charles said, "Not that I'm expecting anything after all this."

"All in good time, Brother," Maximus said, "Let's just focus on getting you home. I'm glad you suggested Anna Devane call me to pick you up rather than leave it to the WSB. That Victor Cassadine is a slimy one and since he was a director of the Bureau at one time, I believe it was wise not to let the WSB haul you off somewhere."

Elsewhere in the Airport

Spencer looked around and realized Charles was no longer with the group.

"Grandmother," Spencer said to Laura, "We seem to be missing someone."

"We're not," Laura said.

"But…." Spencer started to say.

"Shhhh…." Laura said as a WSB agent was looking around, while holding a tablet.

"I could have sworn we had one more person in your group," The Agent said, "I have a Charles Scott on the list. But we seem to be a person short."

Everyone looked around at each other as if they were confused.

"Maybe he's with one of the other groups?" Valentin suggested.

"Maybe," The Agent replied, leaving the matter alone for now.

When the agent walked far enough away, Spencer looked back at Laura.

"He was here," Spencer whispered, "I didn't make that up right."

Laura shook her head and whispered, "He's got another way home from here. I'll explain it later when it's just us."
