The bunker tremors awakened Kelly. She then stood up from her cot, grabbed her rifle, and walked past some wounded soldiers on the floor. The Covenant was going hard on them.
She then entered another room and saw Marines and Army troopers alongside a few officers running around, talking on radios, and giving out orders with a few TV screens. She continued walking, entered another room filled with more wounded, and proceeded to the exit. The stench of blood and dead bodies filled her nose. Almost making her hurl.
Some of the soldiers had tarps over their bodies while medics came running in with stretchers carrying more wounded. She then reaches the exit only to see Manny sitting on the floor leaning his back against the wall, his head down with multiple cuts and bruises.
Makoa then comes out from the entrance and throws Manny a rifle "We are Oscar Mike let's go". Makoa says. Manny catches it and follows him, with Kelly behind. When the trio stepped out of the bunker she was met with a city on fire. Gunfire and explosions can be heard and seen, and UNSC fighters fly overhead desperately trying to fight Covenant air superiority.
She then looks over and sees her squad alongside Sergeant Marcus Stacker, Chips Dubbo, Ashley Davis, and a few more unnamed Marines with them. The Sergeant then spoke"All right this evac site is getting hit hard, We are here trying by them some time and get the Civies off the planet Oorah" Everyone responded with "Oorah!!"
Her squad followed the sergeant and exited the trenches.
An explosion hit right on top of them mangling a marine that fell right next to her. Stepping out of the trenches, they quickly ran past a Scorpion tank laying down fire on a building the Covenant had recently taken. Kelly and her squad sprinted down a field jumping into a few potholes and started laying fire on the Aliens. Civilians were desperately trying to board any pelicans or remaining transports to escape the genocidal covenant.
Marines and Army troopers were desperately trying to hold off the Covenant forces to no avail. Kelly's squad were pinned down. The Marine did her best to return fire but she was quickly suppressed. Makoa then shot his rifle at a few grunts killing two.
But caught the attention of an elite who quickly shot back at him. Makoa quickly ducked behind some cover. Kelly's Comms then suddenly came on. " Hunter-31 this is a command over ''. Sergeant Marcus then responded. "Command this is hunter-31 over."
Sergeant Stacker then pumped a few rounds into a jackal. "Hunter-31 this is command we need you to take back Commerce building, they installed AA guns and artillery making it difficult for the evac sites we need you to go in there and take them out over ''. "This is going to be a tough one," Makoa said. Marcus just ignored his Sarcasm...
"Roger that Command." The Sgt then looked at the building seeing how heavily defended it was. He sighs. "All right, guys you heard them, we got to go and retake the building!!." Everyone nodded. This task was going to be a pain in the ass.
"All right we move on my go."
"Come get some you alien wankers!!" Chips ran out of cover screaming.
The sergeant just facepalmed while the enraged Aussie proceeded to kick a grunt in the face, shooting at two others killing them instantly, an elite then appeared and aimed its plasma rifle at Dubbo but with quick reflexes, he emptied an entire mag into it.
He then quickly ran to one of the building's entrances. Wasting no time, everyone else went out of cover to follow the marine. Kelly quickly followed behind with Makoa firing at any covenant that got in their way. A mortar shot then exploded right behind them killing several troopers.
The squad ran across the street firing at the building. When they finally arrived at one of the entrances and proceeded to go inside. Once in the building, they quickly came under fire from some covenant on the second floor. Kelly and her squad quickly returned the favor, killing a few grunts.
A few more covenant squads started appearing on the first floor Makoa quickly threw a grenade at them. The grenade landed near a group of aliens, wiping out half of them. The ones that survived were quickly gunned down by Kelly and Ashley. "Get up the stairs!," Marcus ordered. Following his orders Kelly the squad then went up and continued to eliminate any remaining covenant. They then reached the second floor and engaged even more.
Kelly then slid over to some cover and started firing and hit a few grunts, a Jackal then quickly lifted his shield to block her shots. She kept firing and her bullets were quickly blocked by the Kig-yars shield, the Jackal then took its chance and shot at Kelly forcing her to take cover again. The Jackal kept on firing until his Plasma pistol overheated.
The alien growled in anger and started hitting its weapon. Distracted, Kelly quickly popped out of cover and shot Jackal's right hand causing him to stumble leaving his body exposed, which Kelly riddled with bullets.
The covenants' numbers started to dwindle, Manny then aimed his battle rifle at the only elite remaining. He then shot at it hitting the Elite in the head, its large body planted onto the ground. The remaining were a few Jackals and Grunts, who then started to panic once they saw their leader dead. Kelly and a few others got out of cover and finished them off.
They then proceeded into an open area of the building. Three Elite Zealots came out of their invisibility and ambushed them.
Kelly tried to warn two other Marines that were taking point but were quickly cut down by the zealots. The Squad of marines then opened fired on the Zealots but their shields just absorbed the bullets.
Kelly and her squad quickly pulled back, But Manny and Dubbo then charged three. Manny then pulled out a shotgun and shot one of the zealots closest to him, causing the Giant to stumble; he then regained his balance and swung his sword at Manny. He ducked down avoiding the energy blade; he then aimed his shotgun at the elite's chest. He pulled the trigger hitting the elite, effectively killing it.
Chips then ran up and peppered another zealot with bullets breaking its shield and hitting it with the butt of his gun knocking Elite to the ground dead. The remaining Zealot was then unsure of what to do. Much to his annoyance before he could cloak he was peppered by Dubbo, Distracted Manny moved closer and shot his shotgun breaking the Zealots' shield,
He then shot a second time. The Elite screamed in agony and fell hitting the hard floor. Kelly and her Squad were in awe to see that these two marines were able to kill three zealots, Spartans are one thing but Marines are another. They should apply to be ODSTS
Makoa's voice then piped up," Show-offs, the both of you," Makoa said Sarcastically. The duo turned their heads and glared at him.
" Enough talk, we got a job to do, come on" The sergeant ordered. Everyone just simply followed behind him and entered a side entrance to the third floor. The squad of marines passed by dead bodies of army troopers and civilians alike. Kelly ignored the bodies and continued. Suddenly a group of covenants came down from a ruined floorbed now acting as a staircase.
The marines quickly shot them taking out the two elite leaders causing the grunts to panic.
Kelly and her squad quickly dispatched them. They continued up the ruined floorboard and came and saw more dead bodies and ruined rooms until they finally reached their objective.
They saw that an artillery squad of Elites and grunts were firing upon the evac zone out of a huge opening in the building causing a lot of damage using fuel rods and other heavy weapons.
The sergeant motioned 3 unnamed marines to take positions near the doorway to the room and Motioned Kelly, Makoa, and Dubbo to the left.
Kelly aimed her rifle through one of the holes in the room and so did everyone else. The sergeant then activated their comms, " When I give the order, clear out this room". Everyone then quickly got into position.
"Ready, now!"
Everyone then opened fire in the room surprising the Aliens who quickly scrambled to cover. Kelly shot her rifle at an elite breaking his shields and then switched to his head killing it.
Dubbo then killed the other one. Her squad then killed the remaining grunts. Once cleared they then entered the room and looked at the carnage they caused.
The sergeant then took out his binoculars and saw that the defenders on the evac site were taking heavy losses and only 3 scorpion tanks were left. He then looked over to his right and saw many covenant tanks and ghosts were now approaching the site. He then put down his binoculars and sighed. " Alright, you guys grab those plasma launchers we need to take out those tanks."
"You three cover us in the back and make sure covies don't come and sneak up on us."
The three marines nodded their heads and took positions outside of the room. Kelly and Makoa grabbed launchers. Manny and Dubbo provided overwatch. The two marines quickly started firing the captured enemy fuel rods and suppressing fire on the covenant tanks.
Kelly took aim and shot her launcher, plasma beamed out and hit her target causing the tank to engulf in flames. Makoa aimed at another one with the same accuracy. The two kept on firing and taking one tank after another. Right when Kelly was about to take out the last tank she heard plasma fire behind them.
"Covies behind us!!"
Kelly grabbed her rifle and started firing on the incoming covenant.
Kelly and her squad were surprised at first but quickly dispatched them. Kelly then grabbed her launcher and shot at the last tank. She hit it dead in the center and it went up into flames.
She then saw the evac zone and saw that the last remaining ships were quickly departing. Her squad receiving commes from command
"Hunter-31 we are detecting multiple tangos inside the building heading toward your position. Get the hell out of there!!" Command yelled.
"Roger that command, everybody you heard them let's get the hell out of here" Stacker screamed. Suddenly a huge swarm of Covenant came out of the bottom floor and started shooting at them. "Oh fuck that's a lot of them!" Makoa screamed.
"Come on, we need to get out of here!" The sergeant screamed. The group of Marines started running towards the roof of the building. Sergeant Marcus then received comms and heard the voice of a Falcon pilot"Hunter-31 this is Falcon-alpha here to transport you, where you want us?" the pilot asked.
"Land on the roof of the commercial building we will meet you there over " he replied.
"Roger, we will meet you there," the pilot responded. Kelly and her squad continued running and started climbing over debris up to the roof with the covenant close behind. Kelly was ahead of everyone and finally reached the roof seeing an ODST trooper at the top.
The ODST then pointed at the Falcon, " The chopper is over there, I will cover you!". Kelly quickly nodded and dashed to the Falcon to be met with another ODST and mounted the helicopter. The rest of her squad then soon joined her one by one.
Keeping his word the ODST was covering them until the last marine boarded. He then quickly sprinted to the chopper and jumped on board as well.
Covenant forces then started popping out, but to their frustration, the pilot quickly took off. Kelly and Manny then mounted the guns, Kelly on the right and Manny on the left. The rest of her squad then started receiving evacuation orders from command " All call signs retreat to the Halcyon cruiser the Pillar of Autumn I repeat retreat to the Pillar of Autumn."
The order repeated. A few hornets and Pelicans then joined the Falcon. Kelly then looked down to see the city in ruins.
The allied gunships were quickly shot down, crashing into the ground.
"Hunter-31 we have new orders for you, a few AA guns located in the central park need to be taken out, they are making it difficult for the evacuation ships .''
"Roger that command we got it over and out" Sergeant Stacker replied.
The pilot then turned the Falcon and headed to where the AA guns were located. They arrived at the park and opened fire on the AA vehicles and Kelly shot her side gun along with Manny. Manny and Kelly were making quick work of the vehicles and covenant infantry. Until there was nothing left.
The falcon was then hit by a Plasma rocket setting its right propeller on fire. Marcus then quickly radioed Command
"Command we are hit but we are still in the air. We located the AA guns on the Corporate building we are going in!! ".
"Hunter-31 copy that and good luck." Marcus then started shouting orders at the pilot. The falcon arrived to be hit with heavy fire. Kelly and Manny started shooting their side guns taking out as many of the AA guns as possible, Debris, and explosions went everywhere.
A grunt then shot a rocket at the Falcons left wing and caused it to spin out of control. Kelly desperately tried to hang on trying not to fall off the chopper.
"This is Falcon-Alpha!, we are going down! I repeat we are going down!" the pilot yelled. " Hang on!!" Stacker yelled. The falcon violently crashed onto the ground tossing Kelly hitting her head.
Moments later.
Kelly woke up to gunshots and screaming. She felt great pain on her face. She reached up with her right hand and lightly touched an open wound on her right cheek. She then looked down and saw her body battered with cuts and bruises. She then stood up and looked at her hands with cut marks tearing into her gloves. She then took her eyes off them and looked up. Sergeant Marcus was screaming orders while everyone else was trying their best to hold their positions. One Marine looked over and saw Kelly from the corner of his eye; he grabbed a rifle of a dead marine and handed it to her.
" Take this and stay down!!" He shouted. The Marine was then shot in the head, causing his blood to splatter over her face. "Brace is Down '' Makoa Shouted firing at the covenant. Kelly then aimed her rifle and started firing in short bursts hitting her targets with good accuracy. She kept firing Killing Covie after Covie.
Until her gun clicked signaling her, she ran out of ammo. Sergeant Marcus then reached into his pouch. "Kelly, the last mag make it count!" he threw it to her. She caught it and quickly reloaded and started firing afain. "Makoa Ammo check",
"Got three rounds left!."
"Manny, what about you?" He asked,
" I am good."
" There are too many of them!! We need to–" A plasma bolt then hit Makoa's shoulder causing him to fall "Oh fuck oh fuck this shit burns!! Fuck!".
"Makoa, hang on!" Marcus Yelled grabbing him into cover. "Manny pass me a medkit," Marcus ordered." Here" He tossed it. Marcus caught it and took out some gauze and bandages and placed it on Makoa's wound. "Everybody hold your positions!" Marcus once again ordered. Kelly then emptied the last of her rounds into an Elite.
She looked up and was then blinded by a bright light.
Present-day, Athen's Station Day 2.
Kelly woke up to the sound of screaming and saw Makoa hitting his table. "Manny you idiot!! What the fuck!!." He yelled. Kelly then grabbed one of her boots near her bed and threw it at him, hitting his head and knocking his headphones off.
"Ow, what the fuck!! Kelly." He said, turning to her. Kelly then responded
" Look around the room you idiot." she whispered. Rubbing his head Makoa looked around and saw Yaz and Wip sleeping peacefully in the corner. Dubbo is sleeping heavily in his bed. While Ash tumbled around. Makoa facepalmed and apologized to Kelly. He then put back on his headphones and looked at Kelly. "Sorry, I will try my best to be quiet".
"You Better"
Kelly then went back to bed. Makoa then watched the brunette Marine fall asleep and returned to his game
"Sorry about that boys where are we dropping".
"We are going to the superstore. Also, Makoa, you need to keep it down before Kelly kills you" Manny said.
"Eat my ass Manny and focus on the game". Makoa responded.
1 hour later 18:00
"All right boys, I will see you later today," Makoa said. Manny. Rigo, Carlos, Jesus, Frankie, and Christian all said their goodbyes and went off.
Back in the room, Makoa was filling out some paperwork until he looked over at Kelly and saw that she was fumbling in her bed. Makoa got up from his seat and walked over to her. He looked closely at her and noticed she was shuffling in her sleep, it was clear she was having a nightmare. Makoa then shook her. Nothing. He then did it again. "Kelly wake up". Still nothing. He then shook Her again.
"Kelly wake up!!" Makoa Screamed
Kelly suddenly opened her eyes, jumped off her bed, grabbed Makoa by the head, and threw him over her shoulder. Makoa quickly planted his hands to avoid hitting the ground. He turned around and the female marine quickly started throwing Jabs at Makoa. He then blocked her strikes with good defense.
"Kelly calm down!!" He shouted.
Kelly, not listening, just kept on throwing punches at Makoa. Makoa then grabbed her hand and twisted it behind her back causing her to grunt. He then slammed her to the ground using his weight to keep her on the floor. " Calm down Kelly the Flood is gone they are not out to get you okay". Makoa calmed her. Kelly slowed down her breathing and was starting to calm down. Makoa loosened his grip.
"You calmed down yet?" the marine asked
"Yes I am fine now Makoa can you please let me go now" She responded. "All right don't attack me ok". Makoa then released Kelly out of his arms. The Marine looked at her with concern. " Same dream again Kelly".
"What dream?"
The pair then looked to see Chips, and Ash had awoken from their slumber. The two grunts surprisingly were still sleeping peacefully.
" Nothing to worry about you guys, it was just a nightmare." She said
" Just a nightmare, come on Kelly you had this nightmare so many times." Ash said scowling at her
"Is that true?" She asked
Kelly sighed." Yes, it is, I have been having it for a couple of weeks now." She said sadly. Ash pondered on what her best friend should do, then an idea popped into her head. " You should go see one of the therapists on the station."
Makoa then interjected, "I suggest seeing what's her name oh Doctor Scarlet you should see her". Kelly questioningly looked at Makoa. " Why her?".
" Oh there are other councilors, Kelly there is Doctor Johnson, Diamante, and Miss Alverez," Makoa responded.
"I said Scarlet because of how hot she is".
This earned glares from everybody in the room including the two grunts that had finally awoken from their slumber.
"You are a horny bastard bro" Manny stated entering the room.
"That is why you love me though Manny".
"Gross Makoa" The two women said at the same time.
Kelly then pondered on which counselor she should see, all of them are all female so she could probably have an easier time talking to them. She finally decided that she will go see Doctor Scarlet due to her best friend's high praise for her and not doing with the fact that she is hot. " I guess I will go see Doctor Scarlet then since you recommended her Makoa."
" You do realize that he only recommended her because she is attractive," Manny said.
"Man screw you Manny I just said she is just attractive bro, nothing wrong with that."
"Bro you say that every time we get a waitress that is serving us or any girl you see, horny boy, but it is also funny that you are still a virgin and a bad kisser." This offended Makoa. "Oh really bitch you want to start right now let's go, boy." Makoa then started walking over to him
Before the argument could get worse. Kelly stood between the two to stop them from killing each other or Manny kicking Makoa's ass. "Guys calm down you two, you could start making out later." She ordered. The two marines backed off "Fine Kelly." They both said
" What about me Makoa, do you think I am attractive?" Ashley asked with a smug expression on her face. Makoa quickly turned red " Well Uhmm.. I would say y-y-yes." the marine said, twiddling his fingers.
"Aah thank you Makoa, that is so sweet of you. Before he knew it the brunette quickly wrapped him in a hug which he tried resisting a bit. "Uh Ash what are you doing!" He said his cheeks flushing redder trying to pry the female marine off of him but to no avail.
"Giving you a hug stupid idiot, ahh you are adorable when you are embarrassed". She said nuzzling into his chest.
Kelly sighed. " Anyways, are you guys hungry for something? let's go get some grub." This got the attention of Makoa and two grunts perked their heads up with excitement." Hell yes, I am hungry."
" You are always hungry Makoa," Kelly said.
"Hey at least I am not like Christian". He responded
"Let's go to the mess hall you guys let's see what they got". Ashley said, releasing Makoa from her hug. Yaz and Wip were very happy to eat some food. Right before everyone was about to leave the station speakers came up. "Attention Marines 1st platoon, 2nd platoon, 5th platoon, 14th platoon, and Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie platoon please report to the training area and bring your covenant squad mates as well." Everyone groaned, including the grunts. "Fuck me in the arse I want fucking food." Chips said.
"Whatever you guys, let's just go and see what the higher-ups want," Makoa said.
With that everyone left to go to the training room. "Hey wip," Yazad asked, poking his friend. " What?" Wip asked. Yazad looked to see if their human squadmates couldn't hear them. "Why are humans so weird?" the grunt asked. "Heck if I know humans are a weird species." The other grunt said. "We may never know, let's head to the training room". The two grunts alongside their human friends left.
Time skip 5 minutes later at Athena station training room/ shooting range.
Kelly and her squad arrived in the training room to see other Marines, Elites, grunts, and a few Hunters all lined up in rows of 5. She and her squad quickly got to Makoa landing right next to Carlos, Rigo, Frankie, and Jesus in the back. Kelly got right next to an Indian man and a guy with glasses to her left. Ash and Dubbo stood next to each other with Manny next to Makoa. " Attention marines, '' a Sergeant said. Everyone then faced forward to see Commander Shepard with her red hair tied into a bun with her Naval commander clothing alongside her were a few ODST bodyguards and a few Elites alongside 1 Zealot ranked. " Alright, Marines and.. aliens today you are probably wondering why I asked for you to be here. Well, we are having some special guests if you look to your left.
Everyone then turned to see over 10 different new channels including BNN and Box News on the second floor behind some glass with Admiral Hood and the Arbiter. Everyone then turned back to Colonel Shepard. " Alright you still are all probably wondering why you are all here today, well to show lucky for us the good old 7th Marine regiment was chosen to show this alliance all of you will be. Performing training together and training new Marines on how to use Covenant weapons and in turn showing them how to use ours."
With that new Marines, Elite Minors and their grunts following behind them started coming into the room who had not seen a lick of combat. Some of the marines walking in were intimidated by the Elites and hunters that eyed them up and down. " Great fucking greenies fuck me, man". Chips remarked. Makoa looked at Chips " It can't be that bad we dealt with worse".
Elizabeth was watching through the glass window along with the rest of the reporters observing the soldiers and Covenant. Until she was rudely interrupted by a rival and asshole-like reporter. " Well look who it is". Elizabeth reluctantly turned around to see no other than Carl Tuckerton from Box News with a stupid ass grin on his face. Elizabeth sighed " How are you doing Mr. Tuckerton?." she said. "Well, I am just wondering why BNN has an interest here, especially one of their prettiest reporters?". He said creepily
"You know a pretty thing like you should not be here with these aliens and soldier types that no doubt have seen their wives in ages." Now he was starting to get on Elizabeth's nerves, especially since he was trying to imply that one of the marines wanted to rail her.
" I will have you know Mr. Tuckerson I could handle myself just fine," Elizabeth responded, trying desperately to stay professional.
Carl snickered, " Sure Whatever just stay out of my way and we should get along just fine." He mischievously smiled and walked away to the opposite side of the room.
The fuckface of a reporter got on Elizabeth's nerves; sometimes she would be weirded out by him and feel like he is trying to make advances on her. Not only that but the rival reporter would always happen to cross paths with her while she was out and about. Why do I always run into him, Elizabeth said to herself. Elizabeth's cameraman then walked behind her and saw the whole ordeal. " What an asshole they all like on Box news?." Elizabeth then turned to him " Only if you are a Republican they would be nice to you Wade. Come on, the Admiral is about to give his speech." She said
" Alright, Grennies line up with your squad and go with two experienced Marines and an Elite Major same thing with the Minors and the grunts to begin training with these plasma weapons. The Greenies then all quickly jogged into the position of three rows separated from the other squads with 10-15 members then joined by a Minor and his squad. 2 experienced Marines and 1 Elite then would pick a squad of their choosing.
"Alph and C squadron go and do some training with the Hunters." The two squadrons then went to their designated duo and went down to the training course with the giants. Makoa and Kelly, alongside an Elite Major, went to a squad of Newbies to begin training. " Alright, Greenies listen up!!".
The word Greenies confused the Aliens but they did not think about it too much. "I am Corporal Kelly this is Lance Corporal Shefte and you are?"
Thezo Kalkame miss" The elite bowed. "Well, anyways we will be showing you how to use Alien weapons and UNSC weapons. Go to the shooting range and pick out a carbine rifle. You Elites will be given a Battle rifle while the grunts will be given smgs!". With that, the Squadron then went out to grab their weapons.
Across the training room, all the Squadrons were then picking out the weapons that the squad leaders had chosen from them. Kelly's squad with their new weapons in hand lined up right behind the shooting range. Alright everyone Lance Corporal Shefte would show you how to use the Carbine as you Covenant boys I will let Major Kalkame teach you.
"Reporters as you can see to strengthen our alliance with the Elites we decided to have these joint training operations with each other to strengthen our tie." All the reporters then started shouting and raising their hands asking questions. Admiral Hood then pointed to one reporter.
"Uhm Admiral how would you say the Alliance is going between the Elites and the UNSC?" A nerdy reporter asked
The Admiral leaned into the microphone and answered. " The Alliance has so far been beneficial for the UNSC and we will continue with this Pact to help defend ourselves from other threats." After he answered, the group of reporters quickly raised their hands yelling his name.
You miss " How will the UNSC be training with our covenant allies and is there any hostility between the UN Soldiers and Covenant soldiers? Admiral Hood pondered for a little while to answer the reporter's question " Well we will be doing more training exercises with our allies and we will do the best we can to teach each other and learn from each other." When Hood finished talking the huge group of reporters then quickly raised their hands screaming out the Admirals name.
While the reporters were shouting at the admiral. Elizabeth looked over through the glass and saw the marine's training. She continued looking over until she spotted something interesting a few marines were arguing with an elite and one flipping him off.
The Elite of course not knowing of the rude human gesture remained confused and angry. The Alien placed his hand over his head
" For the last time, you should only shoot the plasma rifle into short bursts if you shoot for too long it will overheat."
The marine grunted in frustration " Screw you split-lip this fucking thing is shit!!" The Marine threw the rifle on the ground causing a huge clank to be heard getting everyone's attention in the training room. Little did they know a certain blue-eyed reporter started noticing the drama going down. "Hey Wade, Take a look at this and started recording". She whispered
Wade quickly walked right next to Elizabeth and started rolling the camera. While this was happening Admiral Hood was oblivious as he was distracted by the bombardment of the reporters' questions.
" Man fuck you split-lip I don't need to know this shit this is so fucking useless," Yeah fuck this shit we don't need your help" another chimed in the insults.
The Elite finally losing his cool snarled " Alright humans let's see you insult me when you are on the ground under my heels!!". The Elite then charged the two marines but was stopped by two marine trainers trying their best to calm down tall Sangheili from murdering the two. " Bring it on split-lip" The marine kept taunting the Elite which angered him even more.
This incident then garnered the attention of everyone in the room including Commander Shepard. The Marines continued taunting, angering the Elite even more.
Yelling out a huge roar the enraged Alien threw one of the marines holding him back across the room landing on the steel floor and breaking his legs he then easily threw the other one to the opposite side. The Elite quickly rushed to the two marines that dared to offend him he slammed another marine, hitting the ground the marine shattered his arm and screamed in agony.
The Elite roared then grabbed the other marine by the throat and slammed him to the floor. All of the reporters then shifted their attention to the drama that was unfolding before them and the cameramen then started to livestream the fight. "Yes, now I could show the people of Earth what their tax dollars are going to."
" A smug voice said. Elizabeth sighed she knew exactly who the person was. She just ignored it and watched the fight below her. Lord Hood and the Arbiter did not know what to do to distract the reporters from the current situation 'Everyone calms down now this is just simple bantering between two soldiers" Lord Hood said trying to distract them. Some went back and were yelling inaudible questions that Hood could not understand.
Kelly and Makoa did not know what to do to stop the Elite. The two knew how one is so strong compared to a human being. The Marine was then slammed again causing him to lose consciousness. Before he could land another blow on the injured Marine. An Elite Zealot grabbed the Minor's hand, twisting it and almost breaking it. The Major roared in pain.
"Now, Now learn your manners major." The Zealot said coldly twisting the Major's arm more causing him to roar in pain. " Now Listen, to me closely when I let you go, you are going to walk out of this room and report to the Arbiter for your punishment." The Major went pale, scared at the thought. " Not to mention you caused quite a scene for the reporters. The Arbiter would probably not like that too. Now be a good soldier and go, this will not happen again, do we have an understanding." The Zealot said tightening his grip, even causing the minor to grunt in more pain. " Y-Y-Yes sir I understand, '' the Elite mumbled.
The Zealot nodded and released him and the minor quickly ran out of the training room. Everyone in the room was silent and frightened including the hunters. This Elite in gold armor gave off a cold presence. One wrong move and he would end you. Kelly and Makoa looked at each other with a shiver running down their spine including Thezo.
"Alright everybody, go back to training and show these reporters what you got". he Triumphantly said cheerfully.
Makoa and Kelly were confused because somehow this Elite went from a commanding tone and did a complete 180 to a flamboyant persona. Soon everyone went back to what they were doing and started training.
Back in the conference room, the reporters were peppering Lord Hood with questions. "Everyone please calm down, the situation has been resolved." Ignoring the fleet admirals' plea's the group of reporters kept on peppering him with questions causing him to sigh. Shipmaster Rtas 'Vadum has stayed silent as they do not know how the Human news media works compared to when they were serving in the Covenant. "Can we plea–"
"Admiral, how do you feel that you can't control alien troops?" One said Admiral " Admiral, many people say that this alliance is very fragile. Did this situation prove their point?" At this point Lord Hood was beyond annoyed, these damn reporters just don't let up. Admiral Gering, knowing that the reporters will not stop, gently pushed aside Hood and was now on the podium. "The UNSC is committed to humanity and will continue with this alliance with the Elites, that is all no more question." Like that the two admirals left the stage ignoring the yelling and screaming of the reporters who were desperately trying to get past the security blocking them
Admiral Hood sighed with relief. " I want to thank you, Admiral. I appreciate what you did back there."
Admiral Gering nodded and looked over to Hood " It's the least I could do Admiral, after all, you have done."
Admiral Hood sighed again " Honestly when the war ended I thought all my problems would be solved but all that seemed to happen is that it created new ones for me and the entire UNSC."
The two Admirables kept on walking down passing by the occasional Marine Saluting them. "Well admirable when any major conflict ends there always seems to be a fallout afterward, WW 2, the Cold War you name it".
Lord Hood then stopped and looked out of the station's window with Admiral Gering right behind him. He touched the glass and put the palm of his hand on Earth. " All I want is peace, buy a decent-sized house, and enjoy life. The war has taken so much of humanity and taken too many lives including Chiefs. He sighed once again.
Gering went beside him " Well sir all I can say is we have a lot of work ahead of us but do you honestly think that the Master Chief is dead sir?". The Vice-Admiral questioned. Hearing the question Lord Hood does not honestly know if the Master Chief is dead they made a memorial for him but the Admiral has no idea what happened to the Spartan. The admiral rubbed his forehead.
Who knows if the master chief is dead or not? but for its worth I hope he is still alive". The other admiral just nodded. ": Come on sir, let's get to the meeting room to discuss further topics". Hood mumbled in annoyance and took one final glance back at Earth and proceeded to the bridge.
Spartans never die they are just missing in action.
