As the last of the fires were put out, dozens were taken in for medical care. Thankfully, there were no casualties. Yet. The entire main group had to be admitted for intensive medical treatment. Pangoro and his gang had disappeared, probably via teleportation. While the group was in recovery, Blastoise met up with Sceptile and Drapion to discuss the matter. After telling them everything he saw, Blastoise awaited Sceptile's response.

"Arceus," said Sceptile as he lit a cigarette, "If I had known we were dealing with former Black Masks, I'dve stepped in and helped."

"What's done is done," said Blastoise, "People needed you and you answered their calls." He then looked towards Drapion, "Any information on Pangoro."

"It's not much. Based on criminal records, his minions seem to have no association with the Black Masks. Mostly just crooks, jewel thieves, enforcers for low level mob gangs. I guess that with the Black Masks behind bars the overwhelming difficulty that would come with a break out, I think he's decided to cut his losses."

"What about any hospital records for Pangoro? Nobody walks away from an explosion of that size that easily." asked Sceptile. Drapion shook his head,

"Nothing. Whoever healed him operated wasn't a hospital worker." Sceptile sighed as he looked out a window. The early morning chill was a refreshing break from the blazing heat. As he puffed out a little ball of smoke, he couldn't help but think aloud,

"Something big's coming." The other two looked at the grass type. Both wanted to ask, but someone deep inside, they knew just as well as Sceptile did. Sceptile continued, "I've seen more action in these past few months than I have in almost 15 years. Since Absol. The Black Masks imploding, the cult summoning a legendary Pokemon, even something as little as Donquixote of the Phantom Corp showing his face to what is effectively a civilian. I don't believe in destiny, but I do believe in history. When big events happen one after another with no breaks in between, it is only a matter of time until the bubble pops." Blastoise looked down at his bandaged hand. Gauze had been stained red. He sighed to himself before looking back towards Drapion, who nodded,

"I'll let Queen know."

"If that is the case, then perhaps it is time to nurture the next generation," said Blastoise.

"What do you mean?" asked Sceptile.

"I held back against Pangoro, but look at the damage that did to me," Blastoise then gestured to his cast, "I wouldn't have felt a scratch in my prime. Age is catching up to me, and I fear that there will be no one who can take my place. In this age, with stronger and stronger villains appearing, we need stronger and stronger Senshi if we want to protect the world." Drapion looked down a hallway. He frowned subtly before turning bc to Blastoise and Sceptile,

"With all due respect, Blastoise, escalation is just going to make things worse. If the Phantom Corp sees us building up our forces, there's no telling what they would do. And then there's the issue of Donquixote himself."

"Donquixote's power is exactly why we would need a larger, stronger force," said Sceptile, "Absol's and his group needed enough dozens of Senshi, on top of me, Blaziken and Swampert. Even if we find them before they can enact whatever plan they have cooking, we'll need enough heavy-hitters to keep up."

"But we need to be careful. We cannot just go recruiting new Senshi openly," explained Drapion. However, he didn't realize that the best candidates would be in fighting shape in just a few short hours.

Aggron's eyes slowly opened. The blinding hospital light shined in his face. A part of felt that would probably have to get used to this. Sitting up, he looked down at his legs, which weren't in the best shape. His gut told him that standing would probably be a terrible idea. He decided to listen. A nurse walked in and told him the situation. He had torn his leg muscles during that scuffle with the tree. Thankfully, in this era, such an injury was manageable. Apparently, he would be walking in just a few short hours, although the nurse advised him against intense physical activity for a week. However, something that surprised him was the fact that he had a visitor.

Kakureta, the Lucario from last night walked into the room. Her brother was nowhere in sight. She ran over to him and gave him a hug. Surprised, Aggron slowly returned the favor. When she pulled away, he asked,

"What are you doing here?"

"You saved my life. I…I wanted to thank you," she said.

"Where's your brother?" Asked Aggron, leaning to see if he was behind her. Lucario told him that her brother Yawarakai, was in the other room calling Mom. The two talked for a bit, mostly about the events that transpired. Of course, there was one question that Aggron had to ask. One that had been drifting around in his head since last night. "I'm sorry if this is too personal, but you that you were responsible for your father…what happened?"

Immediately, Lucario's demeanor soured. She found a seat and sat back down. Aggron reassured her that,

"If you don't feel comfortable telling me. That's okay." Lucario grinned slightly. However, Aggron wasn't quite finished. "Just…I don't what happened between you and your father. But you are a nice person. I can't imagine you going out of your way to hurt someone, much less family. But…sometimes the people you love get hurt. Life is unfair in that way. They may be good people, with a good life and with good friends and family, but…they just get hurt. Maybe it's some grand plan, maybe it's a targeted attack, maybe there's not point to it. I could tell you I went through the same thing but that wouldn't make it any easier for you," he sighed, "It is not your fault. Don't ever convince yourself that it was. Blame fate, blame Arceus, blame whatever, but never yourself."

By the time Aggron was finished talking, Lucario was welling up. She took shaky breath after shaky breath. Hugging herself, trying to calm herself, she looked down to the floor. Aggron laid back down, staring off into the ceiling. Waiting until the doctor told him he could walk again.

"It was an accident," said Lucario as she fought back her tears. Aggron perked back up once again to listen in. As Lucario attempted to compose herself, she told him what happened. "My dad runs a warehouse. He…he told me to move some crates around. I…I was up on a ladder but I couldn't lift it over my head. Dad tried to help. I slipped and grabbed the shelf," At this point, she was barely able to continue. Stifling her tears, she told him, "The whole thing collapsed. I…I…l," she couldn't keep going. She broke down into a sobbing fit. Aggron, unable to move from his bed, could only sit there and watch. Life could be unfair in that way.

They sat for who knows how long. The silence only filled by Lucario's tears. Aggron wanted to reach out and pat her on the shoulder but he couldn't. All he could was let her cry. He knew the place she was at well. Right now, she just needed some time to let all of her emotions out. Only once the last tears had been shed could the recovery process begin. He was surprised about what happened when those tears ended.

"I…I have a gift. A gift I shared with you tonight. A gift I want to use to help others."

"Gift? You mean that weird thing you did to me earlier?" he asked. Lucario nodded,

"The very same. I awakened your Aura." At that moment, Aggron remembered. Roserade had read him that book back in Hydroton. She could use it? Sure, she was a Lucario but you know what they say about assuming. She elaborated further, "I briefly awakened yours to save us. I was surprised by just how much you had. Once you unlock yours, I imagine that you would grow quick strong."

"Wait, you're saying I have aura?" asked Aggron. Lucario grinned slightly,

"Yes. You'll need training to unlock it though. Anyway, back on track. I've been thinking about it for awhile but after seeing you risk your life to save someone like me, I've mae my decision. When I become 18, I want to join the Senshi."

Aggron was surprised by that. They seemed more similar than he realized. With a little grin, he told her,

"Great choice."

Just then, the doctor came in,

"Alright, Hikane, you should be good to go. As a reminder, try not to get into another situation like that again, at least for a week. You lot are becoming quite famous amongst the hospital staff in this country." Aggron just smiled,

"Just a part of the job."
