After an 4 hours Sonics friends came back and released Sonic and Eggman.
"Okay Sonic. You're free." Tails said with a stern tone.
But unfortunately for all 4 of the friends, when Sonic stood up and walked off without saying a word, they were taken by surprise. They followed him.
it was sun set at the time and Eggman was asleep by the time they came back.
"I can't believe you all would do this to me!!" Sonic said spoke up in an upsetting tone.
"I thought you guys were my friends!" Sonic said 'turning to them with an upset expression and an upsetting tone'.
"We are Sonic. We told you the ridicule would be more severe." Amy said with a straight expression and her usual lecture.
"You already should know that you can be a little competitive and plus we did not like how you said 'putting Eggman in a cage'." Amy continue.
"So you putting me in a cage with Eggman is ridiculing?! That was so wrong you 4." Sonic said 'with a hint of hurt in his tone'.
"Well you keep saying you got ! You wouldn't shut up about it!" Sticks protested.
"Yeah. You always think you can take Eggman by yourself." Tails said sternly.
"Not cool Sonic." Knuckles said simply.
"Besides, if we can, we could put you back in that cage with Eggman about 24 hours and leave you there so we can forget about you." The four said 'not paying attention to what they were saying'
By the time they realized what they said, Sonic was extremely hurt by what they said.
They felt awful, before any of them could say anything, Sonic speeds off without saying a word.
They all thought about it before they all thought they went too far.
"Ya know? I'm starting to think we kinda went too far and plus I'm thinking we never shoulda put him in the cage with Eggman." Knuckles said looking at his friends.
"Yeah. I guess it was a little too severe." Amy said looking down.
"We should head over and apologize." Sticks said 'about to walk to Sonics shack'.
But Tails stopped her by grabbing her arm.
"No Sticks. I think we should give him some space." Amy suggested.
"Amy's right, I mean who knows? Maybe he'll get over it in a week. He'll be back with us and we can laugh at it like nothing happened." Tails said happily.
Neither Amy or Tails couldn't be more wrong.
Cause about a week later, the four friends were at Meh Burger.
They were talking and eating their usual meal when they see Sonic alone at the table eating a chilidog, fries, and orange soda.
"Hey Sonic!!" Knuckles said 'waving happily with a smile'.
Sonic looks at him angrily and was sayin nothing before resuming his lunch.
Knuckles slowly frowns as he puts his hand down.
"Hey...Look, Sonic. I...I know what we said was not right but..." Tails said 'walking to his best friend but Sonic looks at him coldly'.
"Oh come on, you're not still mad cause we left you in that cage with Eggman and said those things to you, are you?" Tails asked in frustration and anxiety.
His question was answered when Sonic threw his lunch at him 'his friends were stunned' before the cobalt hedgehog stormed off angrily.
"I can't even eat my lunch with them. Guess there are times I miss eating chilidogs at those chilidog stands in Mobotropolis." Sonic said to himself coldly.
"So he's still mad?" Sticks asked uneasily as Tails walked back to them with chili dripping from his head.
"Obviously, he's still mad." Tails said 'sitting back'.
Knuckles smacked him in the back of his head before Tails offensively looked at him.
"He'll get over it in a week you said. He'll be back with us you said. We can laugh at it like nothing happened you said." Knuckles said 'mocking Tails words'.
"Okay. Okay. I'm wrong. You happy?" Tails said stubbornly as he looked at Knuckles sternly.
"Not really." Knuckles said while looking down on the floor.
"Guess he's still mad at us then." Sticks said as she leaned onto the table.
"I'll be right back." Knuckles said 'walking away to the direction Sonic was at.'
Leaving Tails and the girls alone.
"Uhhh, does someone have a napkin? I gotta get this chili off of me." Tails asked.
"I have plenty." Amy answered 'revealing 20 napkins on the table'.
Meanwhile.
Knuckles walks around while looking down on the ground.
"Geez, Manic will be real mad if he found out we left Sonic in a cage with Eggman. He would blame me for it. As usual..." Knuckles thought.
That was when he sees Sonic walking back to the shack.
Knuckles rushed to him and called out his name before Eggman started attacking with his robots.
"Aww what's the matter Sonic? You still crying about your friends putting you in a ca...AGHH!!" Eggman mocked before Sonic spindashed one of the beebots at him and then knocked Eggman out of the sky and onto the hard ground.
But when Knuckles was helping Sonic stopped spindashing until Knuckles destroyed the rest of the robots 'which weren't many left'.
"Hey Nice job Sonic." Knuckles said happily to give Sonic a high five.
But Sonic ignored him and left him hanging.
"Oh come on Sonic. Don't leave me hanging." Knuckles said sadly.
"Hey Sonic. You still being sore about them leaving you in a cage that you trapped me in?" Eggman mocked as he laughed 'dusting himself'.
"Eggman. Shut up." Knuckles said to the evil scientist.
Sonic growled before he spindashed Eggman so bad that he was even more dirtier.
"You need to shut your annoying mouth right now. I am no mood for your shenanigans Egghead!!" Sonic shouted angrily.
"Whoa settle down." Eggman said with a raised brow.
"Calm down?! Calm down?! I AM NOT CALMING DOWN!! Now you better be lucky you didn't do this Designated scheme on me while I was in the Underground. Manic woulda finished you off by secreting your head or cutting your body in half. If it were Sonia's or mine. Manic would not hesitate to either slice you like a pizza or shoot you so many times that you would have more holes than a block of swiss cheese. Deal or no deal." Sonic said coldly and angrily to Eggman as he got was shaking in fear.
He knew what Manic was currently capable of. He finds it hard to believe he 'like everyone' thought he was the carefree, thieving, youngest of the triplets but now everyone knows Manic as (known to be him actually being the oldest of the triplets) a serious, merciless, cold blooded killer. That he would kill anyone who dares harm Sonic to Sonia.
"As for you Knux. You better be lucky I won't tell big bro what you did last week. Cause even if I do, he won't hesitate to hang you and Eggman upside down by your shoe straps under a crocodile lake." Sonic said to Knuckles angrily.
"Wait Sonic..." Knuckles said 'desperate to earn Sonics apology'.
"Don't 'Wait Sonic' me. Geez, sometimes I wish I wasn't so merciful just like my Mommy." Sonic said to him before walking off coldly.
When Sonic walked off, he passed, Admiral Beaverton, Professor Cluckins, and Lady Walrus.
"Wait. He's merciful like his mother?" Lady Walrus asked in confusion with a raised brow 'turning to Professor Cluckins'.
"I dunno what's it about but Sonics eyes really remind me of someone. I just can't figure out whose eyes they remind me of." Admiral Beaverton said while rubbing his chin.
Knuckles sighed deeply as Eggman was going to say something.
"YA KNOW, NONE OF THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN IF YOU DID NOT MAKE THAT DUMB DESIGNATED HERO SCHEME EGGMAN!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!" Knuckles shouted at Eggman before walking off.
"He's gotcha there sir." Orbot said while turning to his creator.
"Just get me back to my Eggmobile and let's go back to the lair with Cubot." Eggman replied angrily.
A few days later.
Tails, Amy, Sticks, and Knuckles had tried and tried to apologize to Sonic but unfortunately he was still mad.
They tried to talk to him but he turns them away, lashes out of them until they left. No matter what they had no success on earning Sonics forgiveness.
On a quiet afternoon, Sonic was talking to his sister on the communicator 'with a camouflaged earbuds in his ear'.
"Ugh. I am telling you sis, this is really ticking me off!! I mean really, you shoulda heard them, 'Please we're so sorry.' Sorry my tail. They said some things that hurt me deeply. I wanna go home." Sonic said 'complaining'.
"Sonic. You and I both know if you decide to go home Manic would take that as a sign you want Eggman dead." Sonia replied.
"True... But I just want to go home and have a little time away. Any chance I can crash at your place at least?" Sonic asked.
"Sorry Sonic. I love to see little brother, I really do but my place is filled with lice and ticks right now. So I'm staying at Mindy's place. You remember Mindy right?" Sonia replied before asking.
"How could I not? And lice and ticks? How's that possible?" Sonic asked in shock.
"It's a long story little brother." Sonia answered with an uneasy expression.
"I know you're frustrated Sonic. But you can't be mad at your friends forever. You and I both know it's not time yet." Sonia said softly and nicely.
"I know. I'm frustrated sissy. What should I do?" Sonic asked. 'Surprised at himself for asking his sister'.
"I'll give you some advice little brother. Do what I do when some of my ex-boyfriends make me mad." Sonia suggested.
"And what's that?" Sonic asked with a raised brow.
"Let them take you to a fun day out. One at a time. If one passes, forgive them. If not, you need more time to be mad at them." Sonia suggested.
"So it's sort of a 'Designated Thing'?" Sonic asked with a raised brow.
"Pretty much." Sonia answered.
Sonic thought about it for a moment before he sighed.
"Okay Sonia. I'll try. But only because we're family." Sonic said with his usual cool tone.
"That's the spirit. I gotta go. Mindy and I are going shopping." Sonia said happily.
"Okay. But if you see Manic, tell him I miss him as much as I miss you. I know he's still out there looking for Dad." Sonic said sadly.
"I will and I miss you too Sonic." Sonia said softly.
"Oh and thanks for the advice big sis. I'll see you around in the holidays." Sonic said with a smile.
"Not a problem little brother. What are siblings for?" Sonia said happily before hanging up.
Sonic took the earbuds out before putting them back onto the communicator.
"Good thing I had a friend of mine upgrade my communicator with these camoflauge earbuds. Or someone will hear my conversation with my sis and Mom. Yet its a miracle I still have contact with my family from time to time. But I can barely contact Manic anymore. I know he's still out there trying to find Dad." Sonic said to himself him.
He walked out of the shack and looked at the sky and asked himself with a sigh, "Where are you now Dad?"
That was when things started the next day.
