Heyo everyone! I am back with a super fun and cute little story featuring the core four. I had fun writing this as my giftee had asked for Alya and Nino, so I tried to let Adrienette take a backseat for a bit with this one. I hope y'all like it, especially you, Autumn!
Nino stared out the car window in amazement as snow continued to fall all around them. "Wow…there's so much of it!" He exclaimed, turning to look at Alya, who was in the driver's seat. "We don't get nearly this much back in Paris."
She laughed a little. "No, we sure don't," she looked on ahead as their destination came into view. Looking up, she took a glance at her mirror and shook her head. "Will you please wake those two sleepyheads?"
Despite it only being a six hour drive from Paris, Marinette and Adrien had fallen asleep about halfway through. Adrien rested his head on a pillow that he had placed up against the window. Marinette lay slouched over in her seat with her head resting on his chest. The both of them had drool marks on their chins.
Nino turned around in his seat, taking one last look at their sleeping forms. "Hey, we're almost there," he reached back and began shaking Marinette. She yawned before groggily wiping her eyes. "You guys don't wanna miss this!"
Marinette squinted as her eyes were met with a beam of light. The sun's rays cascaded over the mountains in front of them, leaving them nearly blinded. "Mmm, it's way too bright," she whined, throwing her hand up and smacking her boyfriend's chest.
"Hey!" He awoke and threw an arm around her, pulling her up tightly against him. He looked down to see her smiling sweetly at him and his face softened. "Oh, it was just you." He leaned down and kissed her gently on her forehead. "I had a dream that we were fighting a bad guy."
She giggled as he yawned. "No, that was just last night," he released her from his grip and she sat up in her seat, straightening her seatbelt.
Alya peeked at them through her mirror. "That explains why you two are so exhausted," she said with a smirk. "Well, anyway, our cabin is right around the corner."
After spending most of the year pooling their own money together and refusing Adrien's offers to pay for the whole thing, the four of them had finally gathered up enough money to rent a cabin in The Alps for a weekend. It was their first real vacation together and they couldn't be more excited.
It wasn't long until they pulled into the snowy driveway. "We've made it!" Alya exclaimed as she immediately turned off the car. "First one inside gets the best room!" She flung her door open, laughing as she jumped from the car.
"That's gonna be me!" Nino said as he, too, jumped from the car and scrambled to grab his luggage from the trunk.
In a near opposite manner from their friends, Marinette and Adrien looked on as the couple rummaged through the trunk in a frantic search for their suitcases.
"Oh boy, here we go," Marinette unbuckled her seatbelt and slid over as Adrien got out and left the door open for her. "I dunno about you, but I don't feel like being in a hurry." She laughed as they watched their friends bust through the door of the cabin. "And I know that's saying a lot coming from me."
Adrien shared in her laughter as they walked around to grab their own luggage. "I don't really care what size room I get," he said, closing the trunk and then grabbing one of her hands. "I'm just happy that I get to spend the weekend with you, my love."
She blushed as he gleamed at her. "Me too," she gripped the handle of her pink suitcase and squeezed his hand. "Being away from all the chaos in Paris will be good for all of us."
The two began walking towards the entrance, eager to start their weekend getaway with their best friends.
"First!" Alya flung her hands in the air, letting her suitcase fall to the ground. "Which means I get to pick my room first."
"Aw man," Nino crossed his arms, shaking his head in defeat. "Well, you did drive us here, so I guess that's only fair." He then turned his head towards the open door, his eyes landing on Marinette and Adrien as they finally came inside. "There you are, you nearly missed Alya's victory dance."
Marinette shut the door behind them. "Seen it before, but thanks," she laughed.
As things finally quieted down, the group took a moment to take in their new surroundings for the weekend. The scent of freshly chopped wood filled their nostrils, creating a sense of warmth and tranquility that they hardly ever experienced in the city. The cabin was quite spacious. The living room had a large couch and a couple reclining chairs that focused on a small television mounted on the wall, right above a fireplace. A set of stairs sat to the left and the kitchen opened into the living space.
Alya picked up her suitcase and stood at the bottom of the stairs. She turned towards her friends, a huge smile on her face. "Come on, slowpokes," her feet pounded against the wood as she began climbing up the stairs.
The other three followed quickly behind as they made their way towards the top of the stairs. The second level had a small ledge that looked over the living space down below, making it easy to keep an eye on whoever was downstairs.
The group stopped at the end of the runway, where there were three doors. Alya opened up the first one, which was directly in front of her.
"Ok, this is a bathroom," she then turned to the door on the left. "This must be it, then." She turned the knob and the door creaked open.
"Whoa, dude!" Nino stood beside her, poking his head inside. "This room is massive!" He ran inside to inspect everything. "There's even a jacuzzi in the corner!"
Alya watched on with a puzzled look on her face. "Hmm, it is really big," she said, furrowing her brows.
"Is everything okay?" Marinette came over and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Well…" Alya began, before turning around as the door behind her creaked open.
Adrien stood in front of it as he, curiously, peeked into the other bedroom. "This one is really big too!"
She turned back to Marinette. "Just as I thought," she then walked into the first room and sat on the massive king sized bed. "We accidentally booked the wrong cabin." Nino came over and jumped on it, laughing as they bounced up and down.
Marinette felt as if her face were on fire. "Oh…so then that means…" she turned around to see Adrien putting their luggage in the other room.
Alya smiled back at her with a cheeky expression that did little to settle her nerves. "Yep," she said. "There's only two beds."
After a long day of exploring the nearby resort, the group came back to the cabin to settle down. Currently, Alya and Marinette sat together on the couch as the former attempted to French braid her best friend's hair.
"Did you have fun today?" Alya asked as she fiddled with Marinette's hair.
"Oh yeah, definitely!" Marinette responded. "That little cafe we went to was so good, although I don't think their pastries were as good as my parents'"
Alya nodded. "Of course," she tugged on her best friend's hair a bit as she got to the bottom of the braid. "I think my favorite was definitely watching Adrien and Nino attempt to get on the ski lift."
Marinette bursted into laughter. "Poor guys," she leaned back further into her best friend's lap as her laughs turned into a yawn. "I'm so ready for bed, though."
"Me too," Alya said as she grabbed a tiny rubber band to finish off the braid. "Now I do wonder what those boys are up to."
Marinette grabbed her hair, running her fingers across the braided loops. "Hmm, now that you mention it…" she sat up and looked around. "They have been awfully quiet."
It was then that Nino appeared on the balcony above them. "Hey babe, can you come here for a sec?"
Alya looked up at him. "Gimme just a sec, okay?" She smiled as he began walking back towards their room. A pair of eyes glared at her as she felt the heat rising to her cheeks. "What?"
Marinette had the tiniest smirk on her lips. "This is exciting!" She clapped her hands together. "I bet he's got some really neat surprise planned for you."
"Oh yeah, for sure," Alya said as she got up off the couch, turning to face her best friend as she put her hands on her hips. "Maybe you should go see what Adrien's up to as well…seeing as how you two will be sharing a bed tonight, too."
Marinette froze as her face turned a bright shade of red. "O-Oh, yeah, we are aren't we…" she grabbed ahold of her braid, rubbing it between her hands. "I, um, yeah, I'll go talk to him."
Alya laughed a little, leaning down to place a gentle hand on her best friend's shoulder. "Hey, it'll be okay," her voice became gentle as she spoke. "Just think about all the times we've slept in the same bed over the last couple of years." She smiled as the other girl's shoulders relaxed beneath her hand. "You'll be fine."
Marinette let out a hefty sigh. "You're right, it's not a big deal," she then stood up and the pair shared a quick hug. "Go see what Nino wants and I'll go talk to Adrien."
Alya adjusted her glasses. "Good idea."
The girls walked up the stairs, quietly anticipating the things that awaited them in their respective rooms.
Alya could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she stood in front of the wooden door. The faint smell of lavender escaped from beneath the crack that separated the door from the carpet underneath. She pushed it slowly, listening to the faint creaking as she peeked her head inside.
The room was dim, only being illuminated by candles spread throughout. Soft jazz music played on the speakers near the bedside table. Her toes curled around the carpet as she stepped inside, closing the door behind her. Her eyes moved towards the bed, where her swimsuit lay atop a pile of rose petals.
Her eyes wandered to the jacuzzi in the corner, where Nino sat against the back, a wide smile on his face. "What is this?" She asked, picking up the swimsuit in her hands.
"Well, I figured we might as well take advantage of our alone time together," he avoided her gaze, his cheeks turning red. "Come on, put it on."
She laughed a little. "Close your eyes, then," she smirked as he covered his eyes and she slowly began to slip out of her clothes. "No peeking, either." She shook her head as he giggled. Her legs slipped through the bottom of the swimsuit and she pulled it up over her chest, fastening the straps onto her shoulders. "Okay, you're good."
As his eyes gazed up at her, he swore that something inside of him melted. The heat from the jacuzzi certainly did not help. "Hello there, pretty lady," he said in a soft voice as she stepped inside. "So, whaddya think?"
Alya sat down next to him, letting her head rest on his shoulder. "I think it's sweet," she relaxed as he wrapped his arm around her, pulling her in closer. The warm water caressed her. "Mmm this thing is amazing."
Nino brushed a piece of loose hair behind her ear before gently kissing the top of her head. "Not as amazing as you, though," he laid his head on top of hers, letting his body relax as the jets vibrated against their skin.
She laughed, snuggling closer to him and laying her head on his chest. "Speak for yourself," she said, her voice nearly in a whisper. "You're pretty amazing, too."
He sighed as he felt his heart flutter in his chest. "I love you so much," he hugged her closer to him, taking in the warmth of the water mixed with the softness of her skin. "I can never express that enough."
She tilted her head back to look at him, their amber eyes meeting. "I know," they sealed the gap between them with a gentle kiss. One of her hands made its way to his face, caressing his cheek and deepening the kiss before they pulled away. "I love you, too."
They spent the next hour taking in one another's embrace before finally deciding to head to bed.
In their single, king size bed.
The birds chirped outside as dawn fell upon the snowy mountainside. Beads of light sprinkled in through the blinds that covered all the windows.
Alya awoke first, stretching and yawning as she slowly opened her eyes. A stray hand lay across her stomach and she turned her head to see Nino, who was still fast asleep. She gently picked up his hand, peppering kisses on his knuckles before moving it away and throwing the covers off of herself.
The floor creaked slightly beneath her feet as she shuffled along the carpet. She turned the doorknob, opening the door slightly so as to not wake him. Shutting the door gently, she turned around and quickly noticed that the door across the hall had been left ajar.
She went over to it and peeped her head inside. The sight before her nearly made her heart melt into a puddle. In the middle of the bed lay Adrien and Marinette, who were still fast asleep. They faced one another, their arms wrapped around each other as if they were hugging. Not a single space was left between them as they formed a singular clump in the middle of the bed.
Alya quickly went to grab her phone to make sure this event would be immortalized forever.
It would definitely be a trip that none of them would forget.
Also, please do let me know if y'all would like another chapter where I show what happened between Marinette and Adrien that night as well 😆 I'd be more than happy to do that haha
