"You know what I still want to know?" Poppy turned to Velvet and Veneer. "How you guys managed to find us."

She pointed towards Veneer's hand before he and/or Velvet could respond and he held it out for her to climb onto. But, as she did so, Branch reached out and put a hand on her shoulder. She turned to him with a slight, confused look and he, in return gave her one in return as if he was telling her, 'Don't.'

But Poppy's confused expression changed to a smile and she kissed his cheek before turning around again and fully stepping on Veneer's hand, fully returning her attention to the twins.

"Alright then….Let's get down to business, okay? Basically—" Poppy began to continue, only to get cut off by Floyd and Branch, both of whom had taken the time to swing up onto Veneer's hand as well and were now standing on either side of her.

A brief silence hit before she continued.

"As I was saying, let's get a little serious." Poppy glanced between Velvet and Veneer. "You guys came across this area of the forest somehow—"

The twins nodded. A silence hit, breaking when Poppy continued.

"As Queen, I'd have to say that this is a bit of an issue regarding the safety of me and my tribe considering that Mount Rageons, thanks to the two of you, now all know that they can steal a troll's talent and use it as their own." She paused briefly and looked down at Veneer's hand before looking up again. "Or was it a troll's life force? Both? I'd have to ask Barb again later— either way!"

A silence hit, then she continued.

"Still, it's not safe for me and my tribe and I need to protect them from threats that're much bigger than us and you Rageons are the biggest yet. Bigger than any bergen or vaycationer l've seen."

"Well, yeah, we Mount Rageons can get super tall," Velvet explained, hiding a laugh. "For example: me and Veneer are pretty much average height for our own kind, actually. We're only seven feet and seven foot two. Anyways, about getting here, we just walked here. That's all. We had no where to go so we walked into the forest. We used to go there all the time as kids and it felt familiar. We were kinda running on autopilot, ya know?"

A brief bout of silence hit, then Veneer continued. "We saw bright, vibrant colors that reminded us of you guys and we 's about it. It must've been a subconscious thing."

"Wait... did you say you were average height followed by seven foot to seven foot two?" Branch asked. "I- that's- ugh! Never mind! Not important right now! We can talk about that later!

"Anyways, this isn't good," Poppy added, after another minute. "Just tell us how exactly you guys got here, okay?"

It was Velvet who spoke up next. "Well…"

An hour before….

Velvet and Veneer got up, having cried for long enough. They were physically tired and mentally exhausted yet had no place to go so they set out.

Mount Rageous wasn't welcoming to them, anymore, and they would go back to jail if they ever, if they even, went back. They just knew that they would. They looked over their shoulders at what had previously been their home before, after several seconds, deciding to head out into the woods.

They had no clue what the reason as to why they felt the need to make their way through the woods was, but it just made sense. And they weren't sure why, but this particular forest felt familiar to them the more they ventured into it. But, at the same time, it was… tougher than they'd expected.

They were starting to get hungry. Now, sure, it didn't take much food for a Mount Rageon to live off. They were given little sustenance to function but the food they were given to eat in prison was horrible.

The twins had barely been eating it for that reason alone.

They cut through trees, passed animals, and at certain points caught themselves before they fell. One of the perks of being a Mount Rageon. And that need to eat caught up to them a few more feet into their trek through the woods.

The first food that the twins caught sight of was some fruit at the top of a nearby tree, them stopping to pick and eat.

That'd have to do for now, Velvet thought quietly to herself as she and Veneer continued on with their trek.

One thing they noticed was that the further they walked through the forest was the smaller things became. It was… weird, to say the least. They also looked… weird. Like- Velvet and Veneer have seen weird things but nothing quite as weird as what they were seeing now.

They saw some type of creature walk past them. It looked like… a miniature bus. They couldn't quite tell as they were hiding behind a tree to avoid it. Everything was small but the trees were somehow still big. Even then, trees didn't needed to be that big for Mount Rageons to hide behind them.

Their noodle-y, boneless bodies made that way too easy.

They kept walking, each threat they came across different from the next.

Creatures as big as them yet non hostile but still terrifying to look at, and creatures very small were biters. It was a too much. They were so, so, so tired. They decided to lay down by a river that they found but not before washing off at it. They weren't just, but they were dirty too. After washing off, they were wet as expected. Their clothes were wet, their hair was wet, and their skin was wet. The sun was basically gone so drying off in the sun wasn't an option. They turned their backs to each other, taking off their clothes and squeezing as much water out as they could before putting them back on. They gathered some wood and managed to make a fire… somehow.

Don't ask them, they have no clue how either. They fell asleep and woke up to a burnt out fire and drier clothes than the night prior. The sun beamed down on them and they seemed untouched, no woodland creature brave enough to approach the giants. There weren't any big creatures in the area that they rested. Only small ones.

They got back up, continuing their travels. The more they ventured the more familiar things got. Not in what things looked like but the colors things were. The colors were bright and loud and in your face. Very… troll-y? It was weird. It reminded them of the trolls they faced a while back. They walked further and further until they saw something laying on the ground. Something that seemed… troll-like? Wait… the twins could now better see what it was. They were shocked. They had to make sure they weren't hallucinating.

"Floyd?" Veneer tried to say. But Floyd ignored him and Velvet, continuing on with what he was doing. Regardless of whether or not the pink haired troll had consistent, bad, nightmares every now and again where he heard their voices. Something that was relatively and completely normal after everything he'd been through, according to Branch, John and Clay.

Yet he would have been better off not knowing any of that information.

Him dying didn't exactly keep him up at night. No. Not at all. It was only for a few seconds. He woke up right after. He was fine. He was-

Before Floyd could finish what he was doing, he suddenly felt himself getting picked up.

"Woah- hey! Stop! Put-... me... down..."

"We just want to talk to you."

Floyd looked up at the sound of the familiar voice, eyes going wide, him freezing on the spot. "Veneer. I… but… what? I thought you were happy with—"

"Hey... uhm... how are you?" Veneer asked. Velvet stayed behind, hiding behind a tree so Floyd wouldn't freak out as much.

"I thought you were fine with going to prison," Floyd finally managed out. "Why are you back here? By yourself?"

Veneer looked over his shoulder at his older sister, then back down at Floyd. "By myself? No. It's not just me…"

"Velvet too?"
