Dear Father Muriel, Mr. King, Mrs. King, Miss King, Mrs. Lynde, Davy, Dora, Felicity, Gus, Cecily, & Daniel,

I am sure that you all must be very confused right now (to why I have addressed everyone in the same letter). This letter is addressed to my house, so, Father, Muriel, do not read the letter until everyone is with you.

First, I must apologize. I was supposed to be taking a trip to Montreal … Well, I didn't. Instead, I joined the Red Cross. Father, before you go contacting all of your old colleagues, remember that there is nothing that you can do. By now, I am already somewhere in Europe. I am also 18. Legally, there is nothing you can do.

I am sure that you all want to know my reasons. Well … it is Felix. The day I found out he was MIA I began to plan all of this out. I knew that I couldn't tell you because all of you would try to stop me. I know that my reasons may sound ridiculous to all of you, but they make perfect sense to me. I intend to find Felix. I know that he is alive, I just know it. I will find him and bring him home even if it takes the rest of my life. I am not going to ask any of you not to worry because I know that you will. If I am being honest, I am worried too. Instead, I ask that you pray for Felix and myself.

I love you all so, so much, and I promise to continue to write to all of you. I don't know how long I will be gone, but I do know that we will come home. Not one of us, both of us. That is my promise to all of you.

Love,

Izzy
