I wanted to write this chapter as a big "Author's Note", a message outside of the plot of the fics, and because due to the finale you might be confused.
First of all, I once again thank you for all you who read this fic. In almost seven years of writing fanfics, this has been my longest and most read fic, and to think I only wrote this story just I needed to cope with the wait for Doctor Who Series 14!
Now, of course, the story isn't perfect and the ending could feel rather abrupt, at first I had in mind a completely different ending, but I didn't think it would have made sense, but at the end, I'm rather satisfied.
As you read in the finale, I willreturn to this series. In fact, I even have in mind ideas for some sequels/spinoffs, based on the ending you just read.
After the Doctors detonated the Time Bomb, it didn't erase the Doctor from existence, but it had brought the crew to another timeline, where the Doctor never met them, and erased their memories (Or so it seems) by replacing their counterparts in this new timeline. So, no Doctor and no Master, here the Hotel has a chance to shine without disastrous external influences.
And that's where these sequel spinoffs are set!
The first one is an anthology titledTales of the Hellaverse, a collection of mainly OC-centred stories that show different parts of both Hell and Heaven (along with some stories featuring Canon characters and some set during the first timeline of TSoaTL). The Doctor will make appearances here and there.
The story is titledThe Sins of a Time Lord: A Happy Day in Hell (Working title). While writing the original story, I had the feeling that it felt...Hijacked by the "Doctor Who-ness". Here, I wanna give more focus on Charlie & Co, without a "Super-duper mega villain" as a threat, but rather exploring more of the denizens and telling more of their past. The Doctor here will rarely appear too, but will help the Hotel from the shadows, sending new potential clients to the Hotel the moment he finds out about it.
When will these stories come out? I...Have no idea. You have no idea how many documents I have with just story ideas, I have one .txt file which is full of just Doctor Who story ideas. Although it's likely that Tales of the Hellaverse will come out first between the two.
However, for now, other than The Loud Caretaker, I will focus to work on my next big project, which it's probably the most ambitious thing I've ever done. I won't tell you what it is now, I want it to be fully planned first. Although I will tell you that it's another crossover, involving more than two fandoms. One is Doctor Who and one of the others is a superhero fandom I've never wrote for. Now that's really all, folks!
