Forest Peaceful Talks
(^^)

All three of them were sitting outside their tent while still being inside the carefully constructed wards. It was a surprisingly peaceful evening. The war seemed far removed from their campsite in the middle of the Forest of Dean. Under the hypnotic thrall of the quiet clacks of Hermione's ever-moving knitting needles, Harini could almost feel the stress melting off of her soul.

The fire popped with a flare of crimson flames before setting back to its soft crackling in the growing dark. The scent of the stew cooking over the fire, mostly sweet potatoes scavenged the last time they had through a village, hung thick in the air around them. Their drying laundry hung up on a purple rope between two trees would likely carry the scent for days.

"Then Charlie made a puppet out of the washrag," Ron continued his story about some of the shenanigans from his childhood. "Ginny shrieked as if it was a real ghost—"

"How did you all fit?" Harini asked without planning to interrupt. Hermione switched out which yarn she was using. This next one was a coral red that looked nice against the bright turmeric that made the center circle for the granny squares she had been making every evening for the last few weeks. Ron blushed almost the same shade as his hair.

"It was a big bathtub," he defended. Maybe he would have continued to bluster if anyone else had been there, but thankfully, it was just the three of them. It had been so scary when they were chased out of Grimmauld Place. Harini would still occasionally worry about how Kreacher was dealing with their disappearance. The old elf had been only just growing to like any of them (mostly just Harini). Did he think he had been abandoned again, left to rot alone like he had been after Walburga's death?

Maybe Harini should mention the idea of swinging back through London to check on him? Maybe Hermione would like the chance to pick up more yarn at her favorite craft shop near Piccadilly. It could be worth the awkwardness of bring up her worry.

Maybe after Ron finished telling them this story about all the Weasley children except for Ginny (who had been a baby) taking advantage of their Aunt Muriel's extremely large bathtub that sounded like it would be at home in the Prefects' bathroom.

No need to interrupt the peaceful talk they were having in this moment.
