Oh boy, I've been dead for a while. So, my plain to update my fic's every month was a massive failure I think I'm going to return to my original update schedule as in posting chapters once they're ready to post. However, for my return I decided to start posting Halloween stories early reason number one: I was locked out of my laptop due to password related issues last October and couldn't write or post anything so I'm fixing that by trying to write and update as many Halloween fic's as I can hopefully, I can even finish some old ones. So, with that said, enjoy the return of my Etharah week fic that I really left for dead once the week ended oh well better late than never.

"Finally, a Halloween where nothing is going to go wrong!" Jane cheered, running around the living room in Dakota's house. It was October 31stHalloween night, and Jane, Dakota, Benny, Mabel, and Rory couldn't be more excited. For once the gang tried to be extra careful not to awaken any supernatural forces this October. Any ancient props brought to school were inspected to make sure no evil spirit was connected so no student (or Rory) would get possessed. They did not want another Mummy, Sky Queen, Sun King, evil tree, or the plot of Halloween Town 2 happening again. And as much as Ethan liked dealing with the supernatural, he really needed a break; all the constant hustle and bustle was really wearing him out. At least this month was normal enough.

This year Jane, Mabel, and Dakota insisted on wearing couple costumes. Jane wanted to dress up as characters from the movie Hocus Pocus. As much as Ethan wasn't into the idea at first, he caved after seeing his parents go out of their way to get their costumes, so it was no use arguing.

Ethan was getting changed in the bathroom as Sarah changed in the master bedroom that Emily, Amy, Cindy, Chloe, Esamanda, and Lizzy shared. How the girl's managed to share the room with no problem is something Ethan always wanted to ask but decided to keep it to himself.

Ethan looked into the mirror after straightening his jacket as a knock came from the other side.

"Yo, Eth you almost done; some of us still need to put on makeup?!" Emily called out,

"Yeah, just give me a moment!" He replied, finishing up and opened the door.

Emily was dressed as a paranormal investigator, paired with an old school detective's hat and tweed jacket. Not what Ethen had in mind when he thought of paranormal investigator, but Emily had her mind set on a detective noir style look.

"Bathroom's all yours, Ems." He said getting out of her way,

"Thanks, Bud, most of the gang is in Dakota's room; we'll be leaving in twelve minutes."

Ethen nodded and made his way there. Going inside, he saw Dakota, Mabel, and Rory, who were dressed in their Pokémon couple cosplays. Dakota was dressed up as Brixen, a fox Pokémon who stood on two legs with fur resembling a dress and a big bushy tail with a tree branch sticking out. It was her favorite out of the Fennekin evolution line.

Mabel was dressed as Popstar Pikachu, complete with a pink mid-drift top, matching short skirt, white gloves, a big pink bow that was on Pikachu's left ear, and a heart-shaped tail with a black spot on it.

Rory was dressed as himself but as a Pokémon trainer. Ethen couldn't remember if it was Red or Ash's outfit, but he didn't really care since the trainers were meant to be you anyway.

"Hey, Eth, like my cosplay?" Dakota asked, doing a small twirl,

He chuckled, "Yeah, I do; you three look great."

"Who would've thought I'd be able to pull this look off?" Mabel added, striking a pose, "I own this look."

Ethan laughed; the threesomes were really cute together. "Hey, have you three seen Sarah yet?"

"She's still getting ready; she'll be out in a moment." Amy said who was dressed as a Japanese school girl,

"Why don't you come downstairs? We'll wait together." Dakota suggested, and so they did.

The gang continued waiting for their other friends while giving out candy to the first trick or treater of the night.

Jane was dressed as Dani, Max's little sister. She even had a black cat plush representing Thackery Binx.

"When's Sarah going to be ready? If we wait much longer, all the good candy will be gone." Jane pouted,

"She'll be ready in a moment, Jane, and even if time runs out, we can go to the store to grab some ourselves." Mimi reassured, dressed up in a pink princess dress, white gloves, and a peal headband, just as someone knocked on the door.

"Ah, more trick or treater. I'll get it." Ethen offered opening the door for Benny, Mrs. Weir, His mom, and Mrs. Keanor.

"Hey, guys, what do you think? Do I look undead enough to pass off as Winifred's ex-husband?" Benny asked, dressed up in zombie make-up that resembled Benny.

"Benny playing Benny, how appropriate." Cindy smirked, dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood, complete with a picnic basket of plastic baked goods.

"Wow, the rest of you look great." Sarah spoke, coming downstairs; she was dressed up as Allison. Max's love interest turned girlfriend. How appropriate that Ethan's actual girlfriend was the female lead, and if you were to ask him. Ethan thought Sarah looked gorgeous.

Evelin, Vivion, and Samantha were dressed as the Sanderson sisters. Evelin as Mary, Vivion as Sarah, and Samantha as Winifred.

"Thank you, Sarah. You all look spellbinding now. Who's ready for some bubble, bubble toil, and trouble?" Mrs. Morgan asked excitedly,

"We are!" Everyone cheered,

"Great, now let's go grab some candy." One by one, everyone stood outside for some pictures and started knocking on doors.

Hours later, when most houses were dark and their friends went home, Ethan took Sarah to the woods by his house and began slow dancing with her.

"You know I didn't get a chance to compliment you on your costume, but you make a great Allison."

Sarah chuckled, "Thanks; you look really handsome too."

Ethan returned the smile as he spun her around, "You know, I wasn't sure about the couple costumes at first, but I think we pulled it off."

"I think we did too. Happy Halloween, Ethen." Sarah smiled, leaning in.

"Happy Halloween, Sarah." Ethen returned the smile and leaned in to kiss her. All the while the light of the full moon illuminated a star-filled sky.

I just realized I completely forgot about Erica. Uh, let's just pretend she's at a Halloween party at Jesse's house or another vampire party at the council or something else. I wrote this short little drabble last year but never posted it because I think I was aiming to finish the entire fic and post it all throughout the week. However, for some reason I never did get around to finishing the fic last year which is what I'm aiming for this year. I'm also aiming to finish a few MBAV stories that have been in the back log for a while now. So, with that I hope to see you again very soon with another prompt.
