Hey guys, here's chapter 11 of Digimon: Adventure Loud.
Ronnie Anne sat on the fire escape with Renamon looking over the city.
"How are you adjusting to our world?" Ronnie Anne asked her partner. "I know how hard it is to adjust to a new place." Renamon sighs.
"It's different," The fox Digimon admitted, "This world is much more different than my own so it's been taking some getting used to."
"But it's not so bad, is it?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"No. It's actually quite nice... lovely even. It's definitely far less dangerous here, at least compared to the digital world," Renamon replied, "Plus, I was able to meet you and make a few allies."
"Yeah, Sid, Vorvomon, Lincoln, Otsoamon," Ronnie said.
"Otsoamon is a little punk sometimes though," Renamon said, "Although... I do admire that fire in his eyes."
"He definitely has a lot of fire, that's for sure," Ronnie Anne agreed, "Renamon, can I ask you something?" Renamon turns to her partner.
"Of course," Renamon answers, "Ask me anything."
"How do I get you to digivolve?" Ronnie Anne asks, "Otsoamon and Vorvomon can digivolve to the next level and I just don't want you to fall behind."
"Don't try to rush it. It'll happen when it happens," Renamon reassured her.
"I know, but I just wish we knew how it worked or what conditions needed to be met so that you could reach the next level," Ronnie Anne says. She places a finger on her chin. "According to Lincoln, when Otsoamon digivolved, he was on the brink of death. Same could be said for Vorvomon. But I don't think that's right if I'm being honest. Vorvomon wasn't hit too many times by Veedramon before he digivolved. That being said, I think it's something else," she's interrupted by her stomach growling, "And I can't figure it out on an empty stomach," she turns to the fox Digimon, "Want anything?"
"I'll take a few tamales and some juice," Renamon replied.
"You got it," Ronnie Anne winked before walking off.
Renamon returned to looking at the night sky.
"Otsoamon. Can't believe that little runt was able to digivolve before me. Well, he can certainly hold his own in a fight, I'll give him that," Renamon muttered, "I hope the next Digimon we face won't be too dangerous."
Inside the apartments, Ronnie Anne was getting the tamales together as well as some juice for her partner.
"I know she says that she doesn't care, but I know deep down it bothers her," Ronnie Anne mutters, "Especially when it comes down to Otsoamon. She doesn't show it, but I can tell it bothers her that he was able to reach the Champion level. Honestly, I don't blame her. In rookie form, she's clearly the better fighter. But when he goes Vulkamon, he's stronger and that definitely annoys her," she grabs the plate and starts to walk out of the kitchen.
"Ronalda?" Ronnie Anne stops dead in her tracks as she hears her grandmother's voice, "Where are you doing with all those tamales?"
" How does she always know?" Ronnie Anne thought, "Just gonna store these in my mini fridge, Abuela!" she replied to her grandmother.
Rosa comes in and sees Ronnie Anne with the tamales, "Ronalda, why do you have so many tamales?" she asks.
"Like I said, I'm storing them in my room," Ronnie Anne replied nervously, "Just in case I get hungry."
Rosa looked at her suspiciously for a moment, "Ok then, mija. Just try not to make a mess," she said, patting her head.
"You got it Abuela," Ronnie Anne says before heading to her room. When she got up there, she saw Renamon still there but was joined by Sid and Vorvomon, "Hey guys. I brought the tamales, Renamon," she grabs a drink from her mini fridge, "Almost got busted by my Abuela."
"Sounds crazy getting busted by family," Sid said as she chuckled nervously. Ronnie Anne glances at her friend as she set the plate down by Renamon and Vorvomon.
"Sid… Did your family find out about Vorvomon?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"No..." Sid replied. Renamon and Ronnie Anne stare at her, "Well, Adelaide did," she said.
"Uh huh." Ronnie Anne says.
"And then my parents found out not long after," Sid finished, "It was an accident! Adelaide was trying to find her frog and came into my room where Vorvomon was! Then she told my parents!"
"Sid! What part of "this has to be a secret" didn't you get!?" Ronnie Anne shouted. She then calmed down, "What happened then?"
"Well, my mom started interrogating me and I told her that Vorvomon was a Digimon," Sid told her. "Surprisingly she didn't get mad. Instead, she started asking Vorvomon questions. Though I was grounded the rest of the night," she turns to the two Digimon who were eating tamales with her eyes resting on Vorvomon, "Though it is easier with my parents knowing. Don't have to keep hiding him."
"Well, Renamon can vanish, so I don't really have to hide her per se," Ronnie Anne said, "Still, better to be safe than sorry. If my family found out about her, they'd freak out and probably overwhelm her. Especially my abuela."
"Yeah, wouldn't want that to happen," Sid replied.
"Nope," Ronnie Anne agreed, "But I'm trying to figure out how to get Renamon to digivolve like Otsoamon and Vorvomon."
"Why would you worry about that?" Sid asked as she drank her soda, "Renamon is arguably the strongest rookie out of all of them."
"Yeah, but when Otsoamon and Vorvomon digivolve, they get stronger," Ronnie Anne argues, "I just don't want Renamon falling behind."
Meanwhile by the food, Renamon and Vorvomon were listening.
"Vorvomon," Renamon says, getting the small dragon's attention, "When you digivolved, what was it like?"
"It was incredible. I felt a tremendous surge of power. It was like I was unbeatable," Vorvomon informed her.
"I see," Renamon says, "But how did you digivolve?" Vorvomon stops eating his tamale and thinks about it.
"I'm not sure," Vorvomon admits. "I just did. But it was weird because it felt like my heart connected with Sid's. Like we were one."
"Hearts connected..." Renamon muttered then quickly glanced at her partner.
"Oh, yeah, Lincoln called me today," Ronnie Anne said. "He says that Luna's Digimon Gabumon digivolved to champion level and Lynn has a Digimon now named Gaomon."
"Cool," Sid says with a slight blush, "So, it's actually three Digimon that reached the next level."
"Looks like it," Ronnie Anne said with a sigh. She gets an idea, "Sid, let's go Digimon hunting."
"Excuse me?" Sid raised an eyebrow.
"Listen. Ever since Veedramon, it's been quiet," Ronnie Anne explains, "We're due for a Digimon invasion soon. So, let's go on patrol! If we go now, we can get back before anyone knows we're gone."
"...You want to do this so you can make Renamon digivole, don't you?" Sid said.
"No! I'm just doing my duty," Ronnie Anne says with her hands on her hips while Sid and the two Digimon stare at her.
" Yeah, she's lying," all three thought.
"Fine, let's go patrolling," Sid said, seeing no point in trying to talk her friend down.
"Alright!" Ronnie Anne hugged Sid.
"God, this is boring!" Ronnie Anne groans, "We've been walking for hours!"
"Actually, it's only been thirty minutes," Renamon corrected, "And you really shouldn't be complaining since I've been carrying you."
The four of them have been moving through the city with the Digimon carrying their respective partners as they hopped from building to building.
"Yeah, how can you two be complaining when we're the ones moving?" Vorvomon chimed in.
"Heh. Good point." Sid says as she patted Vorvomon on the head. "But it would be nice if something actually happened." Renamon places Ronnie Anne back onto the ground.
"It seems like the city isn't as big of a hotspot for digimon to come." Renamon comments. Suddenly her eyes get dilated and her fur stand up while Vorvomon crouches down and growls. "I spoke too soon it seems."
"But where?" Ronnie Anne asked. She and Sid look around until their eyes rest on a taller building where they see what looks like a red wolf with a long red muzzle black straps around all four legs and purple claws.
"There!" Sid shouted pointing. She pulls out the digivice.
Name: Fangmon
Level: Champion
Signature Attack(s): Blast Coffin
"It's Fangmon!" Vorvomon shouted. "A cruel and evil digimon who takes great pride in deceiving his opponents."
"Well, well, what do we have here?" Fangmon growled, "Precious little children far from home," he lets out a low cackle, "Easy prey! Dark Coffin!" he fires a dark ball of energy from his mouth at the two digi-destined. Moving quickly, Renamon picks up Ronnie Anne and leaps off the building, with Vorvomon not far behind, "Ooh. Now the hunt really begins."
The two Digimon hid in alley, setting their partners down.
"Stay here," Renamon told them.
"Yeah, we'll handle this," Vorvomon added.
The Digimon came out of the alley, only for Vorvomon to be hit by an energy ball, knocking him back.
"Hmph. Not much of a chase," Fangmon said.
"Running is for cowards. I prefer action," Renamon said, putting her fists up.
Fangmon flashes a malicious grin, "It's more fun when the prey fights back," he says. Then, with a snarl, he lunges at Renamon, pouncing on her. Renamon puts her hands up to keep his jaw away from her face. "What's wrong little fox? Afraid of the big bad wolf?"
"I fear no one." Renamon grunts. Renamon keeps pushing against Fangmon's muzzle when Fangmon's weight suddenly disappears off of her. Renamon sits up to see Vorvomon standing protectively in her.
"You alright?" Vorvomon asks. Renamon gets up and stands next to him.
"I'm fine." Renamon reponds. "Let's put this dog down." Fangmon snarls and opens his mouth.
"Blast Coffin!" Fangmon shouts as he fired a dark energy ball at the two rookies.
The two dodged out of the way.
"Petite Flame!" Vorvomon shouted.
"Diamond Storm!" Renamon shouted.
The two attacks hit the champion simultaneously, creating a cloud of smoke. Out of smoke came Fangmon who had leaped into the air.
"Blast Coffin!" Fangmon shouted, releasing a double shot of his attack, each hitting both rookies.
"Renamon!"
"Vorvomon!"
The Digimon slowly get to their feet as Fangmon lands on the ground.
"So, you two are still standing?" Fangmon says. "At least you're making it interesting."
"Damn it. He's stronger than he looks," Ronnie Anne said, "Sid, you gotta digivolve Vorvomon!"
"On it!" Sid says as she pulls out her digivice.
"Oh, no you don't!" Fangmon shouted, "Blast Coffin!" He fires the attack at the two girls.
"Sid!" Vorvomon shouts before jumping in front of the blast sending Vorvomon flying back.
"Now for the other. Blast Coffin!" Fangmon shot out another blast, this time towards Ronnie Anne.
"Power Paw!" Suddenly, Renamon appears with her paws covered in flames and kicks the blast away, "You will not harm my partner!"
"Then you can be destroyed together!" Fangmon growled. Renamon lets out a small growl.
"Damn it. He's too strong..." Renamon muttered, "I can't beat him," she turns to Ronnie Anne, "But I have to protect her no matter what. So, I can't afford to lose!"
"You've got this, Renamon!" Ronnie Anne encouragingly.
Renamon leaped into the air, "Diamond Storm!"
"Blast Coffin!" Fangmon shot a blast.
The blast shattered through Renamon's attack like it was nothing. The attack hit the sexy fox dead on. Renamon fell from the ground onto her back right in front of Ronnie Anne. She then stood back up, albeit shakily.
"Renamon, are you alright?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"I'm fine," Renamon replied with a grunt, "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine as long as you're safe," she put her paws up in another fighting stance. Ronnie Anne watched in awe as the fox Digimon, battered and bruised, stood ready to fight.
"Then let me help you," Ronnie Anne says, "Let's beat this ugly dog together!" Renamon looks at her surprised before a small smile forms on her face.
"Very well," she says. Before she can try and attack Fangmon again, a data ring appears on Ronnie Anne's hand and her digivice lights up. "And I think we have our ace in the hole."
"Aw yeah!" Ronnie Anne grinned. She moved her hands around, "Execute!" she scanned the data ring, "Champion digivolution!"
"Renamon digivolve to..." Renamon shouted as she was surrounded by data. A moment later, out came a fox with nine tails, "Kyubimon!"
"Whoa," Sid gasps as she helps Vorvomon to his feet, "Renamon digivolved."
Ronnie Anne pulls out her digivice and a picture of Kyubimon pops up.
Name: Kyubimon
Level: Champion
Signature Attack(s): Fox Tail Inferno, Dragon Wheel
"Grrr. So, what! You gained eight more tails!" Fangmon growled, "You still won't be able to beat me!"
Fangmon charged at them.
"Fox Tail Inferno!" Kyubimon shouted, the tips of her tail lighting up with blue flames.
She launches the flames at Fangmon stopping him in his tracks. Kyubimon then rushes forward pounces onto Fangmon and does a monkey flip on him launching him into the air. Kyubimon jumps up into the air and starts spinning until she's surrounded by blue flames.
"Dragon Wheel!" Kyubimon shouted as a dragon is formed from the flames. The attack hits Fangmon as he falls to the ground causing him to turn into a silhouette with a Fractal Code around it.
"Now, Ronnie Anne!" Kyubimon said.
Ronnie Anne nodded, "Fractal Code, digitize!" she shouted as she scanned the data.
Fangmon then reverted back into a digi-egg which shot up into the air before vanishing. And since there wasn't any damage this time, the data remained Ronnie Anne's digivice.
"We did it!" Sid cheered as she helped Vorvomon stand up, "You ok?" Vorvomon nods.
"I'll be fine. I'm just happy you're ok," he says. While they're talking, Ronnie Anne approached the yellow fox.
"Kyubimon. You finally digivolved," Ronnie Anne said as she placed a hand on Kyubimon's head. "Granted, you're smaller than Vulkamon and Lavorvomon."
"Are you disappointed?" Kyubimon asked. Ronnie Anne shakes her head.
"No. Because you're perfect," Ronnie Anne answered before hugging Kyubimon's head. "You got enough energy to carry us home?"
"Yes, I do," Kyubimon replied.
"Everyone on!" Ronnie Anne says as she, Sid and Vorvomon climb onto Kyubimon's back.
"Hang on!" Kyubimon tells them before running off.
By the time Kyubimon got them back to the apartments, she reverted back to Renamon.
"Luckily we were off you before you did that," Ronnie Anne says.
"Yes, very lucky," Renamon said.
"That was cool. Now you can stop obsessing over wanting Renamon to digivolve," Sid spoke, causing Ronnie Anne to blush, "Well, see you, Ronnie Anne," she said as she and Vorvomon climbed the fire escape.
"Phew!" Ronnie Anne leaned against the railing, "That was an ordeal."
"Indeed, it was," Renamon says, "But in the end it was worth it. Granted it was weird having so many tails."
"You'll get used to it," Ronnie Anne assures her, "I'm just glad that you're no longer falling behind the other Digimon. Now everything is good."
Suddenly her door opens to reveal a shocked Rosa.
"Ronalda! What is that creature?!" Rosa exclaimed.
"Oh, shit..." Ronnie Anne muttered.
