It had been a week since the incident during the training session on the field, and so far nothing had happened. Most if the families with small children had relocated to Hogwarts, and were encouraged to not take said children into public. In fact, most families did their shopping in Hogsmeade, as it was close enough to Hogwarts and the protections in place there. Many of the adults who worked in or had shops in Diagon Alley said it was like a ghost town there.
It was apparently so bad, that the Minister of Magic himself had been at Hogwarts demanding the headmaster to reassure the families that everything was fine and send them all home. He was quite irate when the headmaster refused and told the other man that he would need to prove to the people that it was indeed safe. The minister had blustered, and became even more toungtied when Tony started in on his wisecracks. It didn't help as the students started laughing at what the Avenger was saying.
"Daddy, are you sure you can't stay here with us?" Elliot asked as Harry stood from his parent's couch in their rooms to leave. James and Lily had offered to keep Elliot for the night, so that Harry and the younger people could enjoy a night out. The plan was to go out to a night club in Diagon Alley to let loose, but also to see if they could find some information on the attackers.
Since Wyatt and Chris were the only two Halliwell children over twenty-one they would be the only witches there. Their sister and cousins who were eighteen tried to get their parents to let them go too, bit were denied and told they would be following the rules of their home country. The Avengers wete all going, and for the wizards it was going to he Ron, Harry, Hermione, Evan, and Cassie. Of course the parents didn't realize this was more than just a fun night out, but they figured they had Wyatt there to heal them if things went south.
"Now I thought you were looking forward to a sleepover with your grandparents." Harry spoke as he knelt down to his son's level.
"But what if I need you?" Elliot whispered, his chin tucked down to his neck. "The Castle is so big and I could get lost going to your rooms. And there is no JARVIS here to tell you I need you."
"Remember, if you want us all you have to do is call out Wyatt's name and he will orb right to you." Harry spoke as he gently lifted his son's chin so the child would look at him. After the first stage of the soul bond had been completed, Wyatt and his family could sense Harry and Elliot. "Why dont you give it a try?" He encouraged his son.
"Wyatt!" The child called out loud and clear, and moments later Wyatt orbed right in.
"You rang little man." The man said with a grin as Elliot giggled in relief.
"It worked Daddy, I called his name and he came!" Elliot spoke excitedly.
"Of course it worked, I will always come for you." Wyatt said as he scooped him up and hugged him. "Now, are you ready to have fun with your grandma and grandpa?" He asked, handing Elliot over to James.
"Yeah, but you'll still be able to hear be call, no matter how far away, right?" Elliott still seemed fearful.
"Tell you what, think of something you want from the tower, and I'll orb there to get it. I'll then wait for you to call my name to orb back." Wyatt told the child.
"Daddy's chocolate chip cookies in the freezer." Elliot didn't even take a minute to consider, and Wyatt took even less time orbing out.
"Just one bag Wyatt!" Harry called after the orbs before lookiny at his son, "And you're going to share them with your grandparents."
"Of course daddy, but Grandpa James says he can eat alot so we will have to make more while we are here." Elliot said seriously.
"We'll see." He trailed off, looking expectantly at his son, "Well, are you going to call him?"
"Oh, right, Wyatt!" The man orbed back in eating a homemade, gooey chocolate chip cookie.
"Here I warmed one up for you too." He said as he handed one over to Elliot, then handing the bag of frozen cookies to Lily. "I was starting to think you forgot about me."
"Nope, I was just telling Daddy we needed to make cookies here." Elliot grinned, chocolate in the corners of his mouth.
"Are we good to go now?" Harry asked his son, and recieved a nod. "You be good for grandma and grandpa then." He said, giving his son a kiss.
"Hey! Wyatt, where's my kiss!" Elliot called as Wyatt opened the door. Wyatt bestowed the demanded kiss, said good night, and walked out the door looking as if he was on cloud nine.
Once at the club the group spread out, some heading toward the bar, some to the dance floor, and some to various tables. Harry and Wyatt joined Chris, Evan, and Bruce at one of the tables while the women in the group took off toward the dance floor. More than once they were approached by the girls to join them in dancing, but none of them were dancers.
The first person the ran into that they knew was Ron's little sister Ginny. She was out with her Quidditch team to celebrate their win, and just stopped to say hi, but ended up deep in conversation with Chris. They ran into a few of their old school mates, and Harry was happy to introduce Wyatt, Chris, and Bruce to them. Bruce enjoyed being able to fly under the radar here as not many wizards had heard of the Avengers, and those who did knew of his alterego, but not him. The rest of his team were not so lucky as more than one was having their ear talked off by a wizard.
A couple of hour in, Harry excused himself to head to the restroom. Steve just happened to be washing his hands as he entered, so stuck around until he was done. "You enjoying your night?" He asked his friend as the two headed back into the club.
"Yeah, but I find it strange how many people are here with all the attacks going on." There was something about Steve's tone that made him feel uneasy.
Sure ehough, the club was packed with people around his age. Seeing Ron at the bar the two headed over that way and mentioned Steve's observation to him. Sure enough he had already been aware of it himself, and had been looking for anything that would make him think there could be something more than just young people having fun going on here. As far as he could see there wasn't anything. It wasn't like the people were all from the same Hogwarts house. No large groups were wearing matching colors or shirts. It really was just a bunch of young people having fun, not caring about the potential danger.
"Well, Well, Well, what do we have here?" Someone spoke as strong arms wrapped around Harry from behind. It took him less than a second to realize the person was much too short to be Wyatt, and not much longer for his elbow to connect with the man's nose.
"Damn Harry, that is the last time I sneak up on you?" George Weasley spoke holding his nose. He barely had a moment to react before Wyatt had him in the air by the shirt, his magic making the feat look like nothing.
"No Wyatt, I know him, he's a friend, he just startled me." Harry surged forward, grabbing his boyfriend's arm.
"I hope this is the boyfriend, because if not he'll scare off anyone who even glances your way." George spoke as he was put back on his feet.
"He is, Wyatt, this is Ron's older brother George, George, this is my boyfriend Wyatt." Harry spoke as Wyatt's arm snaked around his waist.
"Nice to meet you," both men spoke at the same time, before George turned to Harry. "Sorry for scaring you like that, though it's good to know you can protect yourself."
"Yeah, sorry about that." Harry rubbed his neck nervously.
"I can heal that if you like." Wyatt stepped forward and healed the man's broken nose for him.
"Wow, much more pleasant that what any of the healers can do." George remarked as he felt his nose, shocked to feel it didn't hurt anymore. "He must be pretty handy to have around."
"Elliot and I sure like having him." Harry said with a grin at Wyatt what was happily returned.
"So the is Elliot..." George trailed off not knowing how to finish the question.
"Elliot is my son, he is six years old having a sleepover with my parents." Harry pulled out his phone to show George pictures.
"So will Wyatt blood adopt him when you two get married?" George asked as his eyes drifted to Harry's finger and the tattooed ring there.
"Blood Adopt?" Wyatt asked as Harry spoke, "I'd have to loom into it more. Wyatt is a Wiccan witch and Whitelighter highbred. I wanted to make sure his his magic wouldn't create issues with the potion." Harry explained more to Wyatt than George.
"The potion is also pretty expensive, though I'm sure your parents would happily cover it." George added.
"What is expensive and where can I buy it?" Tony asked as he came up next to Harry. "Wow, yet another redhead, though nowhere near as hot as mine. Now, what expensive thing am I buying?"
"George was talking about getting a potion that would allow Wyatt to blood adopt Elliot. There are actually two kinds, the first one would add Wyatt's DNA to Elliot's genetic makeup, making him another genetic parent. The second one would actually take Wyatt's DNA and replace the other father's DNA with it, making Wyat and I the only two genetic parents. However, the second one is extremely expensive, so much so almost no one can afford it."
"Where could I get a vial of the second one?" Tony asked George. "If Orbs here doesn't want to be Elliot's other daddy then I will."
"Absolutely not, Elliot is my son!" Wyatt practally growled at Tony. He then turned to see the shocked look on Harry's face, "I mean, I know I havent been in his life long, but I love him as if he were my own. I would be honored to be his father." He cupped Harry's face in his hand tenderly as he spoke.
"Well, that settles it then, I'll take one vial of the potion, I'll even pay extra if it means I can get it quicker." Tony spoke to George who seemed thunderstruck that someone would say they would drop that kind of money as if it were nothing.
"That's the thing, it is hard to come by, as very few potion masters can actually brew it successfully." Hermione spoke as she and Ron joined the group, each of them hugging George in greeting.
"I actually know someone who can do it. I can put Tony in touch with him if you like." Evan spoke with a blush, that had Harry wondering who this person was and how they were connected to his brother.
"Absolutely get me in touch with this person." Tony spoke with a grin. "And no arguing from you two. This is also going to be a just because kind of thing, I refuse any repayment." He stopped and thought about it before telling Evan, "I will actually need two do them. I believe there is another Halliwell that would like to be one in blood and not just name."
