Chapter XIII

Konoha's Fall

The sun rose over the trees and hit the walls of buildings. Even though it was early morning, the sun seemed dimmer than before. Like it knew a village was about to be destroyed permanently. Many civilians were beginning to hide in tunnel networks built inside the Hokage Rock to help protect themselves from the terrifying day that lay ahead.

Through all of this, Danzo and Inochi walked calmly to the balcony overlooking the walls and wasteland that was a battlefield. He smirked before a terrifying explosion was heard. Danzo and Inochi turned to see a massive portion of the wall was blown to bits giving the Talogans an easy access to the walls.

Ino and Sai had caused this explosion of course. They had rose earlier than anyone else after a good night of lovemaking for the last time and had strapped 1000 explosive tags to their bodies and ran towards the walls.

As they ran, guards saw them and chased after them, yelling them to stop in their tracks. But Ino and Sai continued to run. They made it to wall out of breath and looked at each other. "So this is it. This is where we die." Ino said. Sai nodded. "I will see you in the afterlife lover." Sai said as he and Ino hugged and kissed one last time. "I will see you too." Ino said right before activating the tags and ripping their bodies and the wall in front of them apart. The guards also perished in this explosion and none of their bodies were ever recovered.

Danzo and Inochi stood baffled at what happened before a flag appeared. One that Danzo knew all too well. "KONOHA! YOUR LAST DAY IS UPON YOU!" Falcon shouted as the armies of the Talogan Empire stormed the walls hellbent on destruction.

The battle was on and things were grim for the Axis. The Talogans outnumbered them 10:1 and the Axis forces were dwindling. Talogan firearms and other weapons wreaked chaos on the enemy. Smoke was everywhere and the shouts and screams was deafening.

Through all of this, Falcon, Naruto, Neji, Shikamaru, Lee, and Konohamaru were leading the charge. Falcon was doing most of the fighting though and it was clear to all that he would be the one to kill the most this day. Little did anyone know that this would be the day that Falcon's oath would be fulfilled.

The Eagle's Brigade and Konoha Raiders wreaked havoc on the city of Konoha. Buildings were destroyed and enemy soldiers lay in heaps. General Kiro killed Inochi while he was stunned from an explosive flash bang device. Danzo retreated to the Hokage Rock where he stood at the entrance of the tunnels. Defiantly holding a sword against the Talogans. Though it was clear that there were no more forces left.

Through all of this though, Shino had been hiding waiting to kill the one man he swore to kill and the opportunity presented itself. Falcon had taken a slight break from killing to give Hiro an order when Shino lunged. The kunai in his hand, went straight through Falcon's armor and into his chest cavity. He fell to the ground, seemingly dead instantly. Hiro screamed as her love lay on the ground.

Shino smirked "just like Orichimaru said. Now let's finish you off." He said as he took out another kunai.

It all happened so suddenly, yet slowly. Hiro watched as Falcon stood up from the ground with his eyes closed to open them and reveal blinding white lights replaced his normal eyes. Shino moved forward slowly only to find that Hiro was teleported out of his range and in a place she could see the last part of the detail. Shino looked stunned that Hiro had disappeared and was wondering where she was when Falcon ran a sword through Shino's heart.

Shino stopped moving. He could feel death approaching him yet it was agonizing to feel this. "Like I told you earlier Shino. I would kill you in the ruins of your village in the same way I killed Kiba. Now to Hell you go." Falcon said as he pulled the sword out of Shino.

Shino fell to the ground, his vision turned dark and all he could hear was screaming, all he could feel was heat, and all he could see was nothing.

Falcon then stumbled to the ground. His eyes turned to their normal brown and he was struggling to keep alive.

"FALCON!" Naruto shouted as he watched his Commander and Chief die a slow painful death. "DON'T GET CLOSE!" Falcon shouted back. He then raised his left arm and made a three with his fingers, then a one, then a two. The signal to prepare the weapon to be fired. The rocket was aimed right at the mountain and Naruto called one last call to Danzo.

"DANZO, YOUR VILLAGE LAYS IN RUIN. YOUR ARMY IS DESTROYED. SURRENDER NOW AND WE WILL SPARE YOUR CIVILIANS. BUT DENY AND WE WILL DESTROY YOU ALL!" Naruto called.

"NEVER NARUTO! YOU WILL NEVER BE SEEN AS A HERO ON THESE SHORES EVER AGAIN!" Danzo shouted back. Then Falcon closed his hand into a fist and shouted "FIRE!"

The rocket was lit and soldiers ran away from it as soon as it was. Danzo watched as the missile thundered to life sailing through the air with a high pitched screech. It flew directly at Danzo and all Danzo could do was watch. As the missile made impact.

It detonated and destroyed the entire mountain side. Everyone inside that mountain perished and with this last effort, Konoha was destroyed for good. The war was effectively over.

Falcon fell to the ground. He couldn't see anything anymore. He felt his soul leaving his body just like the first time. His last words before completely dying was "It's over Lord."

Hiro was beside him in an instant. She turned him over only to find his eyes devoid of life. Tears flowed down her cheeks as she realized her love was dead. Naruto, Hinata, Neji, Shikamaru, Lee, Konohamaru, and the entire Talogan Army stood there in a respectful silence as Hiro mourned the passing of her love.

After a minute, three men appeared, the mere presence made everyone, even the Naruto bow a knee to them. They walked calmly to where Falcon's lifeless body lay in the grasp of a heart broken Hiro.

Hiro held her love's lifeless body protectively as she looked at the robes of these men. Then the man in the middle spoke. "You have done well Falcon. I am proud of the man you have become." He said in a voice that soothed Hiro's trembling heart.

The man in the middle looked at Hiro. "You love him dearly don't you Hiroko? Don't be sad any longer, your love's oath has been fulfilled."

Hiro looked stunned. "H-How do you know my name?" The man in the middle said nothing for a moment before giving an order to Falcon. "Rise Falcon, be with the one you love. You have fulfilled your oath."

Falcon's eyes snapped open as he gasped for air. He looked around slowly as if trying to get his bearings. As soon as he saw the trio of men in robes, he got out of Hiro's arms and bowed before them.

"The war is over Lord. We have won." He said as he bowed. "Rise Falcon, you are no longer under the oath sworn by you for your duty has been fulfilled. All wars after this one shall be won with far less bloodshed and will end sooner. For your perseverance and loyalty have determined the fate of this world." The man in the middle spoke.

Falcon looked up and finally smiled for the first time in a long time. To the other people, Falcon never smiled. So seeing this small, happy, and hopeful smile spread across his face was a rare sight. "I give thanks lord." He said as the men disappeared.

Naruto approached him. "Who was that?" Falcon gave the small simple smile he wore earlier. "That was the person who gave me my power. That person was the one who gave me my life back countless times." "Countless times?" Naruto asked.

Falcon stood up. "In due time, I will tell you. For now we can go home. Konoha has fallen. The Axis has lost." Falcon said as he walked bacl towards the ships.
