He could no longer go to Hogwarts anymore, all because he took the blame for his former best friend. Newton Artemis-Fido Scamander sighed as he sat at his desk in his room. What was he going to do now? He could no longer be a wizard. He looked down at the wand in his hand. He was glad that he got to keep it. He put his head in his hands.

"Brother, you have a letter." Newt nodded slowly and got up and opened the door.

"Thank you," Newt said, taking the letter and closing the door in his brother's face.

Albus Dumbledore smiled as he walked up to the Scamander house. He hoped Newt had gotten his letter. Newt needed help and Albus was going to give it to him. Albus knocked on the door and waited.

Newt sat back down and opened the letter. It read:

Dear Newt,

How are you doing? I'm sorry for what happened. Don't worry, I can help you. I'll be coming over to your house later. I'm sure you'll be happy.

Yours,

Albus Dumbledore

Newt picked up his wand and stared at it. What did he mean by helping him? He could have meant he'd help with the spells he would miss, but Newt didn't know for sure.

"Newt? Dumbledore is here for you!" Theseus called through his door. Newt nodded, but he didn't leave his seat.

Albus walked up the stairs and over to Newt's door. He waited a few seconds before knocking.

"Come in," Newt's voice called. Albus smiled before he opened the door.

"Hello Newt," Albus said, pulling out a book from his robes. Newt's eyes grew wide.

"Hello, sir," Newt said, standing up. "Why?"

Albus didn't say anything, instead pulling up a chair.

"Shall we get started?" Albus asked, pulling out his wand. Newt smiled and nodded.

"Why are you helping me?" Newt asked the third week into Albus teaching him.

"I can't let a good wizard go to waste. You will do great things, Newt, great things." Newt smiled at what Albus said.

"Thank you, sir. Can I show you the new beast I found?" Newt asked, standing up. Albus smiled.

"After you finish this spell," he said, laughing. Newt laughed happily. He will be a great wizard, he was sure of it.
