Wednesday May 25th, 2016 around 9:15. Right after Sam turned into a mutant turtle and a random humanoid dude appeared*

The boys jumped backwards in a defensive position to block their two female companions, but quickly eased when they saw how harmless and scrawny this robot was.

"What are you?" Donnie asked.

"I'm actually a who. My name is Professor Zayton Honeycutt" the android said in a slightly high-pitched voice.

"What do you want from us?" Leo asked, somewhat in his typical strict way, yet slightly easing up. The way the professor talked didn't seem threatening or menacing in anyway.

"You want to escape from this place, well so do I."

"Backstory time" Mikey whispered with a small smile.

"Indeed" the professor said with a nod in his direction. "I'm from Dimension X and live on planet Neutrino. I am-"

"SEE! I TOLD YOU THEY'RE REAL!" Sam blurted out, aiming her words directly at Raph for the comments he made after the group defeated Krang the first time.

"You're joking" Raph said shaking his head. "The Neutrinos exist?" he scoffed.

"Affirmative" Honeycutt nodded. "I am-"

"But you said they had funky hair and clothes!" Raph shouted back at Sam.

"Yeah, the ones that met me had bright colored hair and clothes. Pointy ears too" she responded matter-of-factly.

"Then why doesn't he look like that?"

"Well we'd know if you'd both shut up!" S2 said as she whipped around to glare at the two of them...and then realized how she had just responded to two people that could easily kick her ass. "She said nicely!" She then turned around and smiled at the robot. "Please continue professor" she said with a smile. She was genuinely curious as to wtf was going on. Man she had experienced A LOT in only a few days.

"Thank you ma'am. Ahem! As I was saying, I am a scientist from planet Neutrino, one of them best in fact. While my species used to be very peaceful and against war and violence, that all changed when Krang's species took over. When they initially met with our people and landed on our planet, they said their species was being attacked and needed our help to create machines to help them defend themselves. We were naïve and offered our assistance. We used our intelligence and technology to help Krang and his army only to have them use the weapons to take over other planets, many which were peaceful like ours and had never harmed anyone. He also turned on us and turned my people into slaves that had to work for him if they wanted to live. I was once a living and breathing Neutrino. I had a wife, Marra, and a son, Ely. We grew tired of the way the Neutrinos were forced to live and secretly joined a resistance group to try and take down Krang."

He then looked away, and although a robot, the sorrow on his face was easily recognizable.

"Unfortunately, Krang's soldiers found our compound and attacked our resistance group. A fire broke out and I used my robot SAL to stop the fire. However, there were complications and my mind fused with SAL's body, leaving me like this. I was eventually captured by Krang, and although everyone survived the fire, they were later still decimated by Krang" he said in disdain and clenching his fist.

"We're so sorry to hear that" Donnie said in a melancholy tone.

"I assume you're trying to escape from his capture then."

"That is correct" Honeycutt said, looking back up to face the group. "I know how to use the portal in the main room of the Technodrome to leave. However, I do not plan on leaving alone. I want to help a species oh amphibious creatures who were captured and forced to be tortured for experimentation by Kraang. Those poor fellows. Another peaceful species captured for absolutely no reason" he said, angrily shaking his head. "I want to help them escape back to a new planet called D'Hoonib where it would be difficult for Kraang and his army to find them."

"How do you know Kraang won't find you there, and how do you know how to use the controls on the Technodrome?" Leo asked cautiously.

"Well, Kraang is so busy controlling the planets he's conquered now and has so many of them to watch over that he doesn't have the time to travel as far out as D'Hoonib. Also, I created the Technodrome."

"Wait, you built this thing? Then why should we trust you?" Raph demanded.

"Does he look like he's having fun here?" Mikey questioned.

"You were forced to build this thing, weren't you?" Sam asked peacefully.

"I'm not proud of it. I regret everything I've ever built for this monster. But at the time I had no other choice. I tried to protect my family and my people as best as I could, but in the end I lost everyone anyway. But no more, I won't help him hurt anyone else" the professor stated with confidence.

"What do you need from us so that we can all get out of here?" Leo asked.

"First, I need to head back down to a room where the amphibian beings are located. I have something special for them that can help them help all of us escape and protect them in the future. Then we can all charge out of here. I would use the laser dimension blade to get the amphibians out of here, but it would take too long knowing how many of them there are and how long it would take to let them all pass through one by one. But if we all charge together then I can get them all to the portal on the main floor. Once I have gotten all of them through the portal then you all will be free to escape using the laser dimension blade to a safety point of your choosing. The only thing I would still need from you is to destroy the portal controls. Without me, it will take forever for Krang to fix the main portal on his ship."

"But what about the other Kraang?" Sam questioned.

"Come again?" Honeycutt asked, confusion written on his robotic face.

"Well Kraang is the big guy, but there's another one. What about him?"

The android wasn't sure how to respond to his. "I'm sorry miss, but I don't know what you mean. I've only ever seen the Kraang that I'm assuming you call the big guy. I've never seen another creature like Kraang on this ship other than him. I've seen others of his species back on planet Neutrino, but I've never seen anyone other than him here."

"Oh...got it..." she trailed off with an awkward smile. Something didn't add up. When Sam was captured on the Technodrome back in June 2015, exactly 11 months ago, there was a much smaller version of Kraang who seemed to the brains of the operation and Kraang himself was more the "big guns" who carried out the dirty work. Sam knew that if he wasn't on the ship itself then he had to be somewhere where he had eyes on everything going on. It truly shocked her that the professor had no idea what she was talking about, but she decided to stay silent about it for now.

"Alright, I'll contact April and Jay and see what's going on" Leo stated. Within a matter of minutes he had determined that Kraang was gradually working towards getting himself free, but April and Jay made sure to intervene each time he began to make any progress. However, they also stated that an army of rock soldiers were trying to break into the room. Because of this, the two humans were trying to make an escape through the vents which meant they wouldn't have visuals on Kraang anymore. Leo instructed them to hide somewhere in the main room where the original battle took place when the alternate universe siblings were rescued. He caught them up on everything else briefly, leaving out the part where Sam mutated her body, and told him to expect chaos in a matter of minutes.

Once the group knew the game plan, Honeycutt instructed them of which room they needed to get to. The group swiftly made their way down the hallway and hooked a right where a secret entrance way was located. It was a tight squeeze for the turtles, but they managed to get through the secret entrance which was opened by removing a tile in the wall that looked like it was made of many planks but was really just the pattern of one large tile that only someone with a secret unlocking device could even activate. The professor had made many of these throughout the ship in case he needed to make a quick getaway and escape from Kraang, something he had lost track of doing.

The group heard numerous gasps in the dark room before Dr. Honeycutt turned on a light and revealed himself to the group of amphibious beings.

"It's the professor!"

"Dr. Honeycutt!"

"You're back!"

"Thank goodness!"

"Don't worry everyone, I have returned. These fellows and ladies are going to help us with our escape. In just a moment I'm going to give each of you a mutagen concoction that I created that should be safe for you to use. This will help you defend yourselves so you can rush to escape." Professor Honeycutt then turned around to his new friends. "I will need more help from the rest of you though to make everything work."

"What do you need from us?" Leo asked.

"I've been forced to work for Kraang for a long time now. While working for him I've read his notes about all of you so I know you're all masters of ninjutsu. One of the things I need from you is to teach some basic moves to my amphibian friends."

"You expect us to teach allllll these guys ninjutsu in the brief amount of time we have before Kraang is free?" Raph unintentionally questioned rather harshly.

"Not all you know, just enough to help them survive" Sam stated, nodding towards the professor to show she understood.

"Just like Sam said, just enough to help them. The way you see these creatures now is because I've already given them some small doses of mutagen that I've tested before. Unfortunately some of what I know about the mutagens I've used is because of the trials that were completed on Earth. A LOT of mutagen was tested and while I hate the way it was studied, it has provided me with a lot of information. I was able to form a mutagen combination that would provide these creatures with some more defined muscle. I had to give it in doses to be safe though. They've all taken the first dose and I need to give them all another small dose. This will give them some more muscle to help fight against the rock soldiers. The reason I'm saying this is because before they were captured they were an extremely peaceful group that NEVER fought, from what they've told me at least. They don't know anything about self-defense."

Raph nodded. "We'll do the best we can to help them then."

"Excellent! Then the other thing I need help with is passing out the second dose of mutagen. I already have it prepared, I just need to pass it out in small cups for them to drink. If you can help me with those two things then I can prepare the amphibians for their upcoming battle while also helping Samantha return to her original self."

This got everyone's attention as they all whipped their heads to face the professor.

"Wait, you can make Sam human again?" Leo asked in shock.

"Why yes, I can quickly test what mutagen she used and create an antidote that can let her keep her powers but return her to human form. I can do my best to create the mutagen quickly but only if I focus solely on that and nothing else, I need complete concentration. That's why I need the rest of you to help prepare the amphibians for battle."

"We'll get it done professor" Donnie said with confidence.

They all turned to do what they needed to and were shocked to see all the blue and black spotted amphibious beings bowing towards them.

"Thank you for helping us. If there is ever anything we can do to thank you properly in the future then we will make sure to do it" a more elderly grown male of the group stated.

With that, the boys and S2 quickly walked around with trays and cups of the mutagen and passed them out to the blue and black creatures. It was astonishing how within seconds of drinking the liquid that their muscles began to bulge. 90% of the creatures had muscles almost as wide as Raph's and the group thought it was insane how a liquid could change their bodies in seconds. As soon as this was done, the boys began walking around teaching different moves of self-defense as possible. They knew now wasn't the time to be thorough and instead give brief tips. They were all hoping this battle would be more of a charge that would push through the enemy. Everyone just wanted to get home and away from the danger and save the big fight for another day.

As soon as the professor was done getting things set up with the group, he guided a still mutated Sam to a back room that was freezing in order to keep the mutagen in stable condition.

"Alright, let me just run some quick blood tests on you so I can see what exactly you took" the professor said.

After he had carefully put a needle into Sam's arm so that he could draw blood Sam had some questions for him.

"Soooooooo have you ever had to build bombs for Kraang?" she asked innocently.

"Why yes I have" he replied as he handed her a band aid to put over the small dot of blood from the needle and then walked the small bottles to a machine."

"Do you have images of them? Any large ones in particular I could see pictures of?" she asked nonchalantly.

The android sighed before turning around to face her.

"Samantha, while I've only actually met you for a short period of time, I've read notes about you. Kraang has many files on you actually since you were a member of the Foot clan and then also fought him on the Technodrome. In fact, you've been a number one concern of his ever since he learned how the mutagen in your body gave you multiple types of powers. Because of this, I've learned a lot about you meaning I also know how incredibly strong and courageous yet reckless you can be."

"Ouch, he has that much information on me, huh?" she asked with an awkward smile.

"I'm assuming you're asking about these bombs because you have a plan in mind, one I'm also assuming you don't plan on telling your terrapin companions" he said with concern.

"I'm not sure I like how smart you are" she said teasingly...only for the android to continue staring at her blankly.

Sigh* "You're correct, I don't plan on telling the guys. Look-"

"Hold please so I can determine which chemicals I need."

The robotic being then scattered about, knowing that any moment now someone would run in and tell him that Kraang was free. He needed a total of 2 minutes to gather the needed materials.

"Alright, you can carry on while I combine the materials and prep the needle."

"Okay, I promised my brothers, uh the turtles, that I would take it easy from now on so that I'm not always throwing myself in danger. I know I've experienced things that have negatively affected my decisions, especially during stressful and intense battle situations. I do plan on taking a back seat to the action so that I don't keep scaring my family...but there's something I need to do first."

"And that would be"? the professor asked curiously, briefly turning to face her to hear her response.

However, he never got to hear it because Mikey rushed in.

"Guys, Leo got a message from Jay that he can hear Kraang. It sounds like he is about to pass where we're located. Leo is forming a plan now but we need you both ready in a matter of seconds. And stay silent" he whispered as he quickly turned to head back into the other room.

Sam then shot a pleading look towards the android.

"Please, I don't have time to explain."

The android shot her a sorrowful look as he walked over towards her.

"While I don't know what you're scheming, I know you're an incredible and brave young woman. I know you've saved your 'brothers' many times before. Please, please don't make me regret helping you. Hold out your arm."

While the professor injected a shot into Sam's arm he also projected a digital image of a HUGE bomb.

"Whoa that thing is massive" Sam whispered. She wasn't expecting something quite that large. It also surprisingly had a lot of pointy parts as well as bumps. It was an odd shape and not what she was expecting, but it was perfect for what she was planning.

"Would it upset you if I also asked to have your laser dimension blade?" she asked timidly.

This caught the professor off guard.

"What? How did you know I had one?"

"I kinda assumed when you said earlier that you would use it if there wasn't a huge group you needed to get through a portal. You never asked for mine, so you must have had one of your own based on the wording you used."

He chuckled. "Actually, I have quite a few. I will give you an extra. Why do you need the spare though?"

"Let's just say that it's part of my plan" she said with a wink before it then turned into a wince.

While it didn't hurt, there was a small pinch as Sam felt her body began to change. It was weird since this mutation was slower than when she initially took the mutagen that physically altered her body in the first place so she was able to actually see her skin change. It almost bubbled at first before her skin then went back down. When it bubbled up the green began to dim and fade back into her paler white skin. What was even more weird was feeling hair begin to grow on her body again. She felt hair grow rather quickly on her head, and she was surprised that could even happen at all. She obviously hoped her hair would come back but was shocked at the pace at which it immediately was back and as long as before. It was even more weird to feel her nails retract, that was one of the more unpleasant feelings from the change. It was then even MORE WEIRD feeling where a shell and plastron were gradually morph back into skin. Feeling something hard morph into something soft and squishy was...interesting, nonetheless. That quickly she went from being a teenage mutant ninja turtle to being a human with mutant powers again.

"Good to see you back to normal" came a familiar voice.

Sam whipped her head around to see the turtles standing in the entryway to the room. Leo, the familiar voice, smiled and nodded at the android.

"If there's anything we can ever do to thank you, please let me know. Of course I say that and we're about to part ways."

A digital smile formed on the robotic beings 'face.'

"I wish we all could have gotten to know each other a bit better, you all seem like a good group. But hopefully our paths will cross again in the future, right now we need to focus on Kraang."

"Right! He actually just passed by. I told the others our plan. We're going to run out of here and charge onto the main floor. We'll do our best to guide you towards the control panel. Do whatever you need to do so that you can get the amphibians to D'Hoonib. Once you're all through the portal then one of us will destroy the control panel and will use the laser dimension blade to escape."

"I think S2 should be in charge of the blade" Sam blurted out.

Leo gave her an odd look but gave her the time to explain.

"Well, I know she's like me and will want something to do, so she should protect the laser dimension blade and hide in the shadows where nothing can happen to her."

The group shrugged, agreeing that was actually a good idea.

"Here you go" Sam said as she handed the blade to her alternate.

S2 shot her a smile but secretly wondered if that was the real reason Sam thought she should be in charge of this task.

"Alright, we determined that Raph and I will be up near the front leading the group in our charge. I'll be up front since I'm the leader and can help guide the amphibians and provide advice for fighting. Raph can do the same and has the strength to lead and knock down rock soldiers rushing towards us. Donnie and Mikey will be in the middle of the group, using their speed to maneuver through and provide guidance as well. Donnie will be in a position to further analyze what's going on and Mikey can use his flexibility to adapt to any changes that occur. Sam and S2 will hang in the back to be on the safe side and to come in as our secret weapons as needed" Leo said with a stern look. If facial expressions could talk then Leo's would be asking "right?" based on the conversations that they had with Sam not long ago.

"Can Mikey actually hang in the back with me?" Sam asked.

"What, you think I can't handle the middle of the group?" Mikey asked, half jokingly but also half offended.

"No, but I'd rather have my best friend nearby if I'm supposed to be playing it safe. If I can't fight the way I normally do then it would be nice to have someone I can rely on in a worst case situation. I think you could handle that" she said reassuringly.

Mikey shrugged. "I do like the sound of that. Fighting the big fight but also being cautious."

Leo nodded. "Alright, for now that's our formation. Get ready, we're leaving in one minute."

As the group broke formation, Sam pulled S2 over to her. She made sure the two were practically glued to each other's sides as they walked and Sam whispered in her ear.

"Stay calm, but I need your help."

S2 tried to yank herself away but she had no chance of doing so when going up against a mutant Sam who had her strength powers back.

"Whatever you want to do, no. We've already had this conversation" she said harshly.

Sam whipped her counterpart so they were now eye-to-eye with their foreheads touching.

"I know. I swear on my life that this will be my last crazy stunt. I don't have time to explain now, but there's something I need to do. One last crazy thing so that I never have to hurt my brothers again. I would literally get on my knees and beg you if I had the time" Sam desperately pleaded as quietly yet as sternly as she could so she didn't alarm her brothers who were getting the alien beings ready to dash out of the room.

S2 didn't like it, but she had a feeling Sam would do something stupid and crazy regardless, so she decided she would help.

"FINE" she huffed through a smile of gritted teeth, also trying to make it seem like things were fine.

She was honestly mortified by Sam's plan. It was risky and there were multiple areas where things could go very wrong very fast. But, she also understood how if this chaotic idea worked that it could benefit the turtles. She wasn't sure it would exactly benefit Sam herself, but clearly Sam wasn't worried about her future afterwards, only the safety and sanity of her brothers. As the group got ready to sprint out the room, she crossed her fingers and hoped that everything worked out in Sam's favor and that the turtles wouldn't once again be heartbroken at a possible loss of their sister.

UGHHHHH sorry this is so short. But it took me all summer to finally get the motivation to write again. Dude, working full time (I usually work on average from 7:30ish to about 5:00 each day) 10 months of the year and then working on graduate work for my Master's program in the evenings literally broke me this past school year. I was fortunate to get 4 weeks where I wasn't working or working on grad work and finally that tiny break gave me time to properly relax and get the motivation to come back to this story.

We're still not at the final battle yet :') she says while rocking in a corner.

Just kidding. I have a feeling that whenever I finally get a chance to update/finally have the mental capacity and don't feel stressed out and physically and emotionally drained then I'll probably post shorter and quicker updates so that way there's some type of continuation. Like it's insane how this story has been in my head since 2016 and 8 years later, getting married to a fellow nerd, buying a house and a car, and now going into my 5th year teaching (I'm an adult woohoo!) I started writing this in my sophomore year of college and now I'm an extra adult!) AND I STILL HAVE THOSE SAME IDEAS AS WELL AS SO MANY NEW ONES. Like over the years as I've watched other TMNT movies, shows, and reading the IDW comics as well as other fun online adventures from reddit and TMNTPedia and watching turtle fans on YouTube I've gained so many ideas I've also wanted to add to this series.

I'm just grateful that even throughout the year of me not posting updates people are still reading this story. I'm trying guys! But seeing your support means the world to me.

Until next time (hopefully sooner than August 2025)!
