Just to let you all know, in Chapter 9, I changed Yaoyorozu's experience with the monsters in the apartment complex. You might want to read back on that, if you want to be confused in one part of this chapter. The monsters are called Jitters, just so you know. ^^;
[Midoriya and Yaoyorozu]
Streets of Chinmoku
About ten minutes in, both teens were walking through the foggy streets as they followed the path on their phones.
Midoriya kept glancing at his phone and up at the path ahead, trying to multitask between trekking down the road and getting ready for when a monster would come up walking out of the fog. Yaoyorozu, with the center part of her buttoned shirt, opened up, thanks to the monster that pulled the button off, was also trying to look out for any more monsters. She was dependent on Midoriya to lead the way for them, so she kept an eye out for anything strange, including anything that was creeping up behind them
As he stared at the screen, Midoriya saw that the red line leading them to wherever they were supposed to go was making a right turn.
"...Okay, we take a right here," Midoriya told Yaoyorozu.
Glancing back at her classmate after looking behind her, Yaoyorozu sees the intersection of the street they are on. "Alright..."
They take a right at the intersection...
Yaoyorozu looks up to see a street sign that says the following:
Midushi Street
Eyes widening, Yaoyorozu called her classmate, "Midoriya! Look, the street sign!"
Midoriya looked up at his phone and saw the name on it.
"Huh? ...Midushi Street?" he muttered, "...Wait...then..." perking up, Midoriya realized, "Hey! I bet that's where the school is!"
Yaoyorozu nodded with a smile. "Yes! We must be close by!"
"Well, let's not stand around here too long! We got to get to this destination and find Iida!" Midoriya declared.
Nodding to that, Yaoyorozu followed Midoriya as they rushed through the road where the school might be.
However...as they ran down the road for a minute...
...U-U-U-U-U-FUAMANADNDAKS!
Both teens stopped, frozen in place when they heard the familiar sound.
"...Oh no..." Midoriya whispered in worry.
Yaoyorozu also looked worried...
"...Get behind me, Yaoyorozu," Midoriya told her.
Doing as she was told, Yaoyorozu got behind him.
...The stuttering noise got closer...
...O-O-O-O-OFMAKOWIWAKADNS!
But then...there was another sound right after that one...
M-M-M-M-M-MATIGOKAFIGKVALDFA!
...Then, there were two voices chattering...they sounded like a garbled sound of gibberish...one of them stopped as the other was still emitting the sound.
Midoriya's eyes widened, as did Yaoyorozu.
Oh...crap...
There were two of them.
And then, one of them came speeding towards them and stopped suddenly, their silhouette present in the fog.
The teens tensed.
...It stood there...until it did its stuttering nonsense again.
And then, another one came into the fog as the other one was rambling.
Both Midoriya and Yaoyorozu got ready, their heartbeats beating fast, hoping they could somehow take care of these things and move on. Midoriya got his gun out, which he loaded some bullets a while back, while Yaoyorozu stayed behind him.
...The two monsters(Midoriya was thinking of calling them Jitters) stood there, one of them finishing its gibberish, while the other was just standing there...
...They all stood there, quiet, unmoving. Both teens looked at the outlines of the monsters to see if they were going to make the first move, the first strike...
...The silence was deafening...
...Then one of them ran forward with inhuman speed like they were being fast-forwarded.
Midoriya gasped, eyes widened as he tried to follow where it was going. The Jitter was running to its left and right like it was trying to disorientate Midoriya's field of vision. The Jitter kept going left and right, until-
AM-MA-MA-MA-MA-MA-MA-MA-...
...It stopped...
...Its head started vibrating rapidly.
Then, the other Jitter came forward, doing the same thing as the other.
"MIDORIYA, HURRY! SHOOT ONE OF THEM! I'LL TAKE THE OTHER ONE DOWN!" yelled out Yaoyorozu.
"H-Huh!?" Midoriya stuttered, but then-
The other Jitter stopped vibrating its head and rushed forward at Midoriya, almost in reaching distance.
The boy then began to fire his gun.
BANG!
It hit the Jitter on its left shoulder blade.
BANG!
The next bullet hit the Jitter in its right chest.
BANG! BANG!
The last two bullets hit its neck and forehead, letting it lurch back and plop onto the ground in a messy and bloody pile, the last shot killing it.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Startled by the foreign gunshots, Midoriya looked behind him to see that Yaoyorozu was...carrying a handgun as well! She had it in her hands, aiming the weapon at the moving target. It seemed the shots hit the other Jitter in the side of its left chest, the other in the right side of the chest, and the last one grazing its neck. The monster looked as if it was slowing down from the shots it received, which let Yaoyorozu gather her focus on the Jitter, aiming it for its head.
She fired.
BANG!
And that's when the monster lurched to its side from the impact of the shot, letting it plop onto the pavement, dead as it could be.
The Jitters lay there, visibly shaking like they were having a seizure...until their shaking died down...letting them lay there still...
Seeing that the monsters were not getting back up, Midoriya sighed and turned to Yaoyorozu, who also sighed in relief, albeit she looked shaken.
"Wow...you created a gun?" Midoriya asked his classmate in awe.
Yaoyorozu, getting her bearings together, lowered her gun in her hands and said, "Y-Yeah...my shooting was a little rusty, but I managed to put it down."
Midoriya looked at the Jitter that Yaoyorozu shot and back at the taller girl, "Well, you're a better shot than me."
Looking at her classmate, Yaoyorozu just smiled, "Thank you, Midoriya. But you don't give yourself too much credit. It looks like you took care of this thing with just three bullets, while mine were four."
"I mean, yours was still moving, though! Mine was going forward! I was just lucky to get in that first shot."
Yaoyorozu chuckled, "Well, I guess I had more practice trying to shoot moving objects a lot more through skeet shooting."
"Skeet shooting?" Midoriya asked in confusion.
"Oh, I sometimes go to England or America to practice my aim with a gun. They're usually shotguns, but I also had handgun firing lessons as well."
Eyes widened, Midoriya looked amazed, "Wow...how long have you been firing a gun?"
"Well...I started to use and fire a gun when I turned thirteen," Yaoyorozu told him, "I mean, I only wanted to try to learn because I wanted to become a Hero someday...well, I mean, I only will use a gun as a last resort...if...I-I ever become a Hero..." she said the last part in uncertainty, looking a little unsure.
Seeing her expression as she said the last thing, Midoriya looked a little puzzled. Then he remembered...
Would I make a good Hero, Midoriya?
"...Hey."
Yaoyorozu looked at Midoriya, snapping out of her thoughts.
"...I'm sure you'll make a great Hero someday, Yaoyorozu. Whoever said so, and whatever you're thinking, don't listen to them or it. You proved you can fight and take on anything and protect yourself and even me. That makes you a Hero," Midoriya reassured her.
She stared at Midoriya...astonished...
"...Th-...Thank you, Midoriya," Yaoyorozu said to him, the feeling of shame almost being lifted...
...Both teens stood there on the street awkwardly, when Midoriya said, "Well, um...we better get going. I don't think we want to encounter more of these...um, Jitters?"
Yaoyorozu looked at Midoriya oddly, "Jitters?"
Flushing a little, Midoriya mumbled, "It...It sounded like a good name for these things."
She glanced down at the dead Jitter that Midoriya shot, "...Well, I can see how they're called that," Yaoyorozu admits.
"Uh...yeah, um...you know, because of the way they stutt-..." Midoriya paused, "...Cause of the way they move, you know?"
"Uh, yeah..." Yaoyorozu looked at the dead Jitter for a moment.
...When she saw that Jitter's cracked face back in the apartment complex...It looked a little bit like...
Shaking her head to get that thought out of her mind, she said, "W-We should go and find that school."
"Uh, yeah, right!" Midoriya nodded.
So they continued to run on the road...
After about three minutes of running (with no more of those Jitters, thank goodness), on their left side, they see a building. Midoriya still had his gun in his right hand, while Yaoyorozu's gun was in her right hand as well, just in case any more monsters were to come up.
As they neared the building, the complex had four floors and a gate that kept people away from people going in and out. There was a sign on the gate, next to its entrance...
Midushi Middle School
"Here it is!" Midoriya declared. He looked down at his phone to see if the red line was pointing at the building in front of them. Sure enough, the red line was pointing an arrow at the school.
"Okay then," Yaoyorozu said as she gazed at the sign and the gate entrance next. She sees that the gate door has a chain wrapped around it on the other side of the gate, indicating that they can't get in. She grunted in frustration, "Darn it. The door is chained up."
Midoriya looked at the chains wrapped around the door and the gate. Frowning, he came up to the door and pulled the chains with his hands. Upon seeing that it wouldn't loosen, Midoriya turned to Yaoyorozu and said to her, "Do, um, do you think you can make another bolt cutter?"
Yaoyorozu lowered her gaze down to contemplate, "Well...I think I can."
"Huh? You think can?" Midoriya asked her, a little puzzled by that statement.
"I mean, I wasted enough lipids already...I'm also a little hungry," Yaoyorozu blushed in embarrassment.
"Oh...well, um..." Midoriya scratched his head in thought, "Well, I don't know if we can find any food-"
BING!
A sound came from...Yaoyorozu's phone.
Confused by the sound, thinking it came from his phone, Midoriya got his phone out to check but once he opened his screen, he saw that the sound wasn't from his.
Yaoyorzu, who felt the vibration in her pocket, got her phone out of her skirt pocket and looked at the screen, wondering who texted her.
...There were two words in the text. The text message belongs to...no one.
[Eat up.]
"...Eat up?" Yaoyorozu muttered to herself in confusion, yet she felt a little offended by the words being said.
What? How did...does this person know that I was...hungry? Yaoyorozu thought. If that's the case, then...does he know about my...my Quirk?
"Yaoyorozu?" Midoriya's voice pierced through her thoughts.
She looked up at Midoriya, her expression still puzzled.
Putting his phone back in his pocket, the boy looked at her for a second and asked, "Did...you get a text from...whomever?"
"I...I think I did," Yaoyorozu replied, "The person..." looking down at her phone again briefly and looking back at Misoriya, she said, "They told me to 'eat up'."
Midoriya blinked at that. "Uh..." thinking about it for a moment, he lowered his gaze to the ground, trying to understand that...until he quickly looked up at Yaoyorozu and realized something, "Oh! You need food to create your lipids and use the lipids to create your objects! Which...if you use too many lipids to create your objects, you'll...uh, get...um...r-real s-skinny?" he tried to be as sensitive to the topic as possible.
Surprised that Midoriya knew that much about her Quirk, she said to him, "Um...y-yeah," she looked at him oddly, "How do you know?"
Realizing that he might've sounded like a creep, he jolted up straight in a panic and defended himself, "I-I-I mean, I just analyze! I-I write my analysis in notebooks! NO! Wait, I mean, they're not about you! I MEAN, WAIT! They're about everybody in the class! Just their Quirks! I-I like to analyze Quirks! I-I'm not a weirdo, I just...l-like...Q-Quirks..."
...Midoriya and Yaoyorozu stood there, the latter looking at the former in surprise at the panic outburst he made.
"...Oh...um…" Yaoyorozu blinked, "...Well...t-that isn't really...weird..."
"...O-Okay..." Midoriya stuttered, feeling a little uneasy about expressing his panic like that.
"Um, yeah...in fact, that's a very smar-"
BLOO-LIP!
Before Yaoyorozu could say anything else, she looked down at her phone again, the sound coming from hers.
Her phone looked like it automatically went to the town map app, and it was giving her directions, the same red arrow leading her the way. The red arrow that was leading her also had something written on it.
In yellow font, it said, "To Food."
"..." Yaoyorozu frowned at the screen of her phone.
...I don't like how this mystery person knows how my Quirk works...
...Yaoyorozu turned around behind her, the arrow pointing behind her on the map, and turned back to Midoriya, "Um...I...I think we need to come back here soon. Follow me."
"Huh?" Midoriya blinked in confusion, "Wha-What happened?"
"...Simply put, I need to...refuel, I guess," Yaoyorozu shifted her eyes to her left a little sheepishly.
"Oh...uh...okay..." Midoriya was still a little confused, but he followed her nonetheless.
They walked down the path, following Yaoyorozu's map and the arrow indicator to wherever they, or mostly she, needed to 'refuel'...
...They kept walking...
...Every once in a while, Yaoyorozu would look down at her phone to see where they needed to go. Midoriya just trailed behind her in silence...
...It was around a minute and a half later, Midoriya decided to ask her, "Uh, can I ask you a question about your...uh, your Quirk, Yaoyorozu? I mean, if you don't mind?"
Yaoyorozu paused and looked back at her classmate, "Oh, um, sure. I, uh, I don't really mind."
"Oh, okay! Well...I guess what I want to ask, is, um...since you use lipids to create your objects and weapons, do you need to...uh, eat to get those lipids back? D-Do you also have a high metabolism if you do?"
"Um, yes, I do on the first question," she nodded, "I do need more lipids to make other things, such as a gun, or another boltcutter. And I guess I do have a bit of a high metabolism. It's part of my Quirk, after all."
"Oh wow! That's really amazing!" Midoriya said, his eyes widened in admiration.
Yaoyorozu just blushed a bit, putting a lock of her hair behind her ear, "I mean..." she paused and looked...alarmed?
Midoriya noticed her look and his eyes faded into worry, "Yaoyorozu? Are you okay?"
"...I-I'm sorry, Midoriya, but...is it okay if you...don't ask about my Quirk right now?" Yaoyorozu asked of him a little meekly.
Midoriya just looked on in confusion, but he suddenly felt alarmed, thinking he might've offended her somehow, "I-I'm so sorry!" he apologized, "I mean, I-I should've known! I-I mean, it-it was out of line! I should've respected your privacy! I mean, I-uh, I was just-"
"M-Midoriya! It's okay, calm down! It's...It's not you," Yaoyorozu told him, raising a hand to calm him down.
"Huh?" Midoriya blinked, seemingly calming down a bit.
"Don't worry, it's..." Yaoyorozu looked conflicted, thinking if she should explain, "...It's just-"
But then...they heard footsteps...
Both teens went silent, startled. Midoriya looked straight forward at the source, while Yaoyorozu turned around, alarmed by the sound as she stared into the fog behind her.
The fog revealed no one...but soon, in the mist, a person became noticeable, although they were still obscured as their silhouette was the only thing visible. It was obvious the footsteps were coming from this presence, the form looking a little bit on the big size...
...But something about this person...struck a familiar cord to both the teens...
"Huh?" said the person, sounding like an older male...however, the voice even sounded familiar. "Who, uh, who's there?"
That's when they realized...
Both Yaoyorozu and Midoriya froze, their faces expressing shock.
Eda?
The silhouette came closer...and sure enough, out of the dense fog, it was Eda.
"E-Eda?" Midoriya stuttered out.
"Wha?" said Eda in surprise, "M-Midoriya? Yaoyorozu?"
The teens then looked down at what Eda was carrying in his right hand...
It was his gun.
Upon following their gazes toward his gun, Eda looked alarmed and stuttered out a defense, "I-I-I'm sorry! I mean, what I mean by that is I, uh, well, I-I should've told you that I-well, that I got a gun! I-I found it at the convenience store where we last met!"
Midoriya and Yaoyorozu just stood there...each of them trying to come up with something to say.
It wasn't until Midoriya noticed that...Tsuyu wasn't with him.
Yaoyorozu then blurted out, "Oh, um, no worries! We, uh...we have guns too..."
"Huh? Y-You do?" Eda looked surprised. He then looked a little closely to see that the teens do have, in fact, guns in their hands. "W-Whoa! Wh-Where did you find those!?"
"Um...well, I created a gun with my Quirk, and Midoriya found his in an apartment complex," Yaoyorozu explained, still a little wary.
"Oh...what, uh...what were you both doing in an apartment complex?" Eda asked. He even give quick glances at Midoriya and Yaoyorozu, which he had noticed that her top was missing a button...
...But it didn't make him a creep or anything!
"Um..." Yaoyorozu glanced at Midoriya, expecting him to answer that question.
Upon hearing that question and seeing Yaoyorozu looking at him, he said a little embarrassed, "Uh, we were...simply put, we were in a wild goose chase of some kind."
"Oh...well, uh..." Eda scratched the back of his head, "Um...actually, have you guys...uh, seen your friend, um...Tsuyu?"
That got both teens looking back at Eda, Midoriya asking him, "What? You mean...she's not where you are?"
"Uh, no...I was out here looking for her...she ran out of the McDonalds' we were in, looking like she saw someone, or...something..."
"Saw someone?" Yaoyorozu's eyes widened.
"I mean, I think! I don't know, she was talking to me and...she acted all strange, like she saw someone outside, and...she told me she'd be back...but she never came back...I-I was just looking for her! I don't want there to be any monsters getting her or anything like that, you know?" Eda explained.
...Midoriya and Yaoyorozu looked at each other, the worry evident in their eyes.
Eda, seeing that he might've messed up, apologized in a panic, "I-I-I'm really sorry! I just...I just thought she was coming back! I didn't know! Honest!"
Midoriya turned his attention to Eda to calm him down, "E-Eda, it's okay, y-you didn't know, like you said. Do you happen to know where Tsu went to? What direction did she go to?"
"I...I mean, she went to the right of the McDonalds', but I...couldn't see where she went because of the fog."
Midoriya went silent in thought, while Yaoyorozu was thinking about why Tsuyu would go out and leave them like that.
"...Yaoyorozu," Midoriya spoke up.
She turned to her classmate, "Huh? Uh, y-yes, Midoriya?"
"I think we need to keep going," he turned to Eda, "Eda, maybe you could...follow us?"
"Huh?" Eda blinked.
"Huh?" Yaoyorozu looked at Eda and back at Midoriya.
"I mean, maybe Eda could-"
BING!
Now hearing the sound and feeling the vibration coming through his phone, Midoriya turned his attention to the phone in his pocket. Getting it out, he looked at the screen, reading the message.
[Leave pig boy alone. Just follow your gal pal to the intersection and take a right. I'll guide you from there.]
"...Uh..." looking up at Eda and then turning his head to Yaoyorozu, Midoriya went back to staring at his phone in confusion, "...um..."
"Oh...hey, the phones are...working again," Eda said, almost as if he was now registering it.
"Uh...yeah..." Midoriya stood there, a little dazed by what the person texting him was telling him.
Yaoyorozu looked at Midoriya in concern and was about to ask what was wrong, but her phone made a sound indicating a text had come to her also. Midoriya's phone also rang out a text to his phone again when hers rang in.
The text in Midoriya's phone said:
[Little piggy will be fine. Just look for your friend, the Frog Girl. I'll lead you there.]
...As for the text in Yaoyorozu's phone:
[Get your friend away from Porky. You don't know too much about him, right? He could've actually killed someone...or maybe he didn't? I don't know, what do you think?]
...Both teens looked at their phones, Midoriya a little worried at what he read, while Yaoyorozu was disturbed by her text.
Eda still looked confused. He got his phone out of his shorts pocket to see if he could use his, and turned on his screen.
"Whoa...my phone is...working..." Eda then froze, eye widened in dread as if he almost remembered something, "Uh...u-um-"
"Uh, Eda?" Midoriya spoke out.
Eda turned his attention to Midoriya, his stance tense as his face now expressed a ton of unease.
"...You'll be...fine on your own, right?" Midoriya asked him, his tone sounding almost a little unsure.
Yaoyorozu turned her head to Midoriya, a little shocked that he would suggest leaving Eda behind...but at the same time, she...supported that decision...
But to Midoriya's (and even Yaoyorozu's) surprise, Eda replied by saying, "Y-Yeah! No worries! I'll, uh, I'll be fine! I'll just...uh, go and...find Tsuyu...while...y-you know, you go and look for her! Yeah..."
"Uh...okay," Midoriya nodded slowly, looking a little puzzled about this whole thing.
"R-Right! Uh, I'll, um, I'll go!" Eda said as he suddenly began to make a head start, rushing past them as he ran to find Tsuyu in the fog. Then, as if he realized he was acting strange, he slowed down, but kept his speed to a minimum until he couldn't be seen in the fog anymore.
The teens both looked back at the retreating figure of Eda, a little dumbfounded...
"...Um, w-we should go, Midoriya," Yaoyorozu said to him.
"...Uh...right…" Midoriya agreed.
They kept going as they walked down the foggy two-lane road, the street lights lighting their way as they went forward.
...They were both silent...
...Until Yaoyorozu spoke up, "Um...did..."
Midoriya glanced at her as they walked, "Huh?"
"...Did you...somehow sense that...Eda was, um...hiding something?" she asked him.
Blinking at that, Midoriya answered, "Um...no? Why?"
Yaoyorozu stopped in her walk and looked at Midoriya in perplexity, "What? Then...why did you change your mind about Eda coming with us?"
"Oh...well...the person that's texting me...said to leave him alone..." Midoriya said, pausing in his walk as well.
Eyebrows rose up in surprise, Yaoyorozu looked at Midoriya for a couple of seconds, until she looked back at the phone in her left hand to read the text that she got...
"...What?" she muttered in bewilderment as her eyes went wide.
...There was no text from her on the screen. It was gone.
"...M-Midoriya? Could...Could you check the recent text you got?" she asked him.
"Huh? Um...okay?" Midoriya looked at the phone that was in his left hand to see the text on his screen.
...There was also nothing. Nothing was there.
"...What? But...I...I just read a text...did I?" Midoriya asked in shock, mostly to himself.
"You too?" Yaoyorozu said, her suspicions correct.
"Huh?" Midoriya looked up at Yaoyorozu, "You mean, there's nothing on your phone as well? I mean, nothing about a text? I heard it before next to you, I was..." he looked down at his phone again, completely confused, "...there..."
"..." Yaoyorozu frowned at this development, "I...I don't know what's happening right now...but we have to focus. Focus on finding Tsuyu, Iida, and everyone else before something bad happens."
"...Yeah..." Midoriya was starting to feel like he might have imagined the text, "...Okay. Let's just keep going."
"Right," Yaoyorozu nodded.
And they kept going...down the road...that foggy road...
Two Minutes Later
Soon, they came up to an intersection through the fog...
Walking up to it, they stopped, trying to gather their senses and bearings.
Yaoyorozu looked to her left and saw that there was a lit-up McDonald's a little bit that way. Blinking at the convenience, she glanced down at her phone and looked at the directions that the app was giving her.
The red arrow was pointing to that exact restaurant.
"Oh..." she looked at the McDonald's up ahead to see if there were any lights inside the building...and they looked like they were. Blinking at that, Yaoyorozu turned to Midoriya, "Come on, Midoriya, maybe we-"
When she turned to him, he was going in the other opposite direction, the right way of the intersection. However, he stopped and turned around, looking at Yaoyorozu in puzzlement. "Huh?"
Now blinking a third time in stupefaction, Yaoyorozu said, "Um...the restaurant is this way?"
"Uh...oh!" Midoriya's eyes widened in realization, "Uh...I mean...well...y-yeah, that's right...well, I-I-"
BING!
Midoriya looked down at his phone, seeing what this text would entail.
[Leave her for now. A healthy girl needs to eat, right?]
...Eyes furrowing at that response, Midoriya didn't like how that was worded.
But then, Yaoyorozu's phone suddenly made a text noise as well.
BING!
"Huh?" Yaoyorozu looked down at her phone again.
The text said...
[I think you should let the boy go and let him look for your Froggy friend. What he said a while back made you think of 'that', right? Besides, you don't want him to actually watch you eat, right? That would be creepy. Right?]
...Yaoyorozu felt...a little disturbed by what this person was implying...
But...this person wouldn't...
How...they wouldn't...know about...that...
...Right?
"...Um...M-Midoriya?" she spoke.
"Huh? Y-Yeah?" Midoriya stuttered as he looked up at her.
"...Y-You can...go off and...find Tsuyu...I...I don't think...there's any need for you to...a-accompany me in the...in the restaurant," Yaoyorozu explained. But she sounded unsure...
Midoriya looked confused, "You...want me to go? To, uh, to find Tsu?"
"I mean..." Yaoyorozu looked down at her phone again to see if the text was still there.
It was.
"...H-How about this? When you find Tsu, just...call me, okay? I'll...I'll either be at the McDonald's or at the school when I finish...eating..." Yaoyorozu said, a little puzzled at her reasoning.
"Um..." Midoriya thought about that, "...I mean...I guess that makes sense. Tsu is out alone and she needs someone with her...but...you'll be fine without anyone with you? I mean, I understand you have to, uh, refuel and all, but...will you be safe?"
Yaoyorozu looked at Midoriya for a moment, her expression unsure about something...until she told him, "I mean, I do have a gun," she motioned the gun in her right hand, "And...well..." she sighed, "...I'm training to be a Hero either way. I...I guess I just...want to feel...independent, I suppose?"
"Oh..." Midoriya lowered his head to digest that, "...Um...okay," Midoriya looked up at Yaoyorozu, "Well, um, alright then. I'll, uh, give you a call when I find Tsu, okay? I-uh, I promise I'll be back!"
The taller girl smiled and nodded, "I...I know you will."
"Yeah! I mean, right..." Midoriya turned around to go over to the direction he was going, taking a few steps until he stopped, turning his head back to glance at Yaoyorozu, "Just, um...really, be careful, okay?"
Nodding to that, Yaoyorozu said, "Right. I will."
Midoriya nodded to that as well...and with some reluctance, he walked away from Yaoyorozu as he went further in the night fog...
...Leaving Yaoyorozu alone...
...She took a deep breath and exhaled. Turning around to face the McDonald's, she stood there to get herself ready...
...Well, I should probably...get to eating...
...She didn't question anything further, walking over to the restaurant.
Inside the McDonald's
As soon as Yaoyorozu entered the restaurant, she...found something quite...unbelievable.
On the checkout counter...there was food on a tray.
It was a Big Mac with a large fry and a large drink...
...She looked at the meal in front of her, absolutely baffled at seeing something like this...in an abandoned town...
"...Is...anyone here?" Yaoyorozu softly said to whoever was in the restaurant.
...There was no answer...
...The quiet felt haunting...
...She took a cautious step forward, and another, going over to the meal on the counter.
When she was close to the meal tray, she observed the food.
...It looked like it was a regular Big Mac meal...
...Yaoyorozu put her phone up in her pocket and reached out for a single fry to see if the food was real.
...It felt real...
...She picked it up and put it to her mouth...and took a bite of the fry...
...It was...real...
...But...how?
Is...someone working here?
Yaoyorozu stood there...listening to anyone maybe working behind the counter...
...Nothing...
Just...silence...
...Feeling a little bothered by this, but needing to focus on the task at hand, Yaoyorozu grabbed the tray and decided to sit down at a booth to eat the meal.
Quickly. Maybe quickly...no, she needs to pace herself. She can't eat like a barbarian, her parents didn't raise her that way...
Getting a booth seat, she grabbed her Big Mac and took a bite of it, a little slowly just so she could...savor it...
...Savor it...
...Like...
...Like that...
...That freak...who would...
Shaking her head, Yaoyorozu berated herself.
Don't. Just...don't...not now...
...She kept eating...all alone...
[Uraraka and Sandarando]
In the Tunnel at the Bank
The two of them are walking in the tunnel...
It was dark and a little narrow...
Sandarando's flashlight fingers lighted the way forward, while he carried his gun in his other hand. Uraraka was behind him, trailing along as she got her gun ready.
They kept walking, their footsteps echoing across this hallway, this tunnel to the unknown...
They both wondered where this would lead...
...Uraraka looked behind her briefly to see if they were somehow being followed. Turning back to Sandarando, she rushed back close to him, feeling a lot more secure when she was near him.
I mean, I know I'm supposed to be an up-and-coming Hero, but...I'm still a girl...a girl who's vulnerable in some abandoned town...and Sandarando is a nice enough guy, so I feel like I could...trust him...yeah...I feel safe around him...
She looked up at Sandarando from behind, who had his fingers lighting up the way, and his other hand carrying and pointing his gun downward in safety.
...Deciding to make small talk, Uraraka asked him, "So...you're a bank teller?"
Sandarando paused for a moment and turned his head at Uraraka. Smiling softly, he turned his head back forward and walked, answering, "Yeah. It's a good job. I help people with their money and sorting out their accounts...it may seem boring to some people, but I like to talk with my co-workers as I work, and I find it a little therapeutic. Mostly because it just relaxes me."
"Oh, okay," Uraraka smiled and nodded, "So, uh...I mean, you work in a bank, so, you never have like...trouble over there? Like robberies or anything?"
"Hm?" Sandarando looked back at Uraraka again, "Robberies?"
"Well, you know, Villains and…Heroes and whatnot," Uraraka said, a little sheepishly, feeling that that question was a little personal.
"Oh. Well...I mean, not really, thankfully," answered Sandarando, "It's mostly orderly and safe over where I work."
"Oh, that's good to know!" Uraraka nodded with a smile, "Villains usually like to rob banks...I don't really find it good for Villains to steal people's hard-earned money for themselves. It feels despicable to me."
Sandarando smiled, "Well...you made the right decision to give that money to charity."
"Haha, th-thanks!" Uraraka rubbed the back of her head nervously as she smiled, "I mean, as much as I need the money, I couldn't let my morals down. I was kind of taught what was important when it comes to giving back to the needy...maybe this person is letting us test our decisions or...something?"
"Hmm..." Sandarando looked back at the path ahead of them, "...Well, whoever is doing this, we could just..." he paused, "...keep doing the..." he finished the last part a little...unsure of himself, "...right thing."
Uraraka sensed the uncertainty in Sandarando's tone. Thinking of something comforting to say, she said to him, "Hey, no worries, Sandarando! Maybe the choices won't be hard! I mean, if this is what this person is setting up with us, then we just, uh...need to be wise!"
Looking back at Uraraka again, Sandarando said, "Oh, uh, right! Yeah..." he turned his head forward again, "Um, okay...I, uh, I think we should keep going to...wherever this tunnel will lead us."
"Uh, right!" Uraraka nodded.
They kept going, not saying anything else after that...
...Until a minute later, Uraraka asked, "I wonder...what this long tunnel is here for? Like, what is it used for?"
Sandarando hummed as he mused while walking forward, "...This is strange to have a tunnel be here in a safe room in a bank...I hope there isn't any shady business stuff happening in this bank."
"Shady business stuff?" Uraraka looked up at Sandarando curiously.
"Well...I don't know the history of this town, but some bank institutions will fund illegal corporations without them even knowing it. Although...I don't know where this tunnel would come from then..."
"Oh..." Uraraka thought about that as she walked behind Sandarando, "...Well, we did have some kind of history lesson while we toured around Chinmoku. Something about cults and other gang Yakuza stuff happening when it had people here at the time. Maybe this tunnel is related to them or something?"
"Really?" Sandarando glanced back at Uraraka, a little surprised to hear that, "Wow..." he frowned as he thought about this town having such a sketchy background, "...You know, I kind of feel bad for this town."
Uraraka looked up at the man, intrigued by his statement and wanting him to continue.
"It's just...a town is supposed to have a great community that lives in it. The community is like the...the blood that flows through it, you know? It's what beats like a heart...if that makes sense. I'm just saying that...whatever happened to this town...it probably didn't deserve to be abandoned like this."
"...A dead town, huh?" Uraraka muttered. "That's...kind of deep when you put it like-"
But then...they heard something...
It came from behind them...
Turning around to the sound quickly, Uraraka and Sandarando looked ahead at the dark passage to see if anyone was there. Sandarando flashed his lights on the way back to spot anybody coming through, while Uraraka began to grip the gun in her hands, starting to feel the dread as fear began to seep in.
The sound echoed through the hall...
...Shriik! ...Shriik! ...Shriik!
...It started to come closer...
...Shriik! ...Shriik! ...SHIIRK!
...It became louder...
...SHRIIK! ...SHRIIK! ...SHRIIK!
And then...Sandarando and Uraraka saw who...or, to be more precise, what was in the hall with them.
...In the light of Sandarando's flashlight fingers, there was...something coming up to them...
What...they saw, was...
...A half-naked man, burly chest exposed, with no shoes on, and wearing a brown loin-cloth...but that's not all.
On his head...was a red pyramid-shaped metal mask that had no eye holes...it was just a rusty metal pointy pyramid mask on this person's head.
But another thing about this man was that he was carrying what looked to be...a large broadsword...and he was dragging it on the ground with his right hand as he came closer to them.
Uraraka's eyes widened in shock, unable to process what this person, man, thing, was as she cautiously raised her gun in her trembling hands to aim her weapon at him.
Sandarando, on the other hand, looked at the person in...wonder...like he might've...seen this thing before...
But he hadn't...so...why would he-
"S-Sandarando?" Uraraka softly said to the man, the gun now raised in her hands as they still trembled in them, "What...What is that?"
"...I...I don't know,"
The man, this...Red Pyramid Head Thing, came up to them gradually, yet menacingly. His right arm was almost about to lift the sword up in his hand, the hall having some room capacity for him to use it.
Uraraka tensed, and said to Sandarando, "Um, I-I don't think he's friendly!"
Looking at the Red Pyramid Head Thing, Sandarando just stared at it for a second, upon realizing that he was going to attack them, shouting to Uraraka, "Uraraka, shoot him!"
"Wha-What!?" Uraraka briefly glanced back at Sandarando.
"Do it! Hurry!"
Looking back at the Pyramid Head, Uraraka saw that he was getting ready to slam the sword down on them. Frozen, Uraraka's eyes widened in fear.
"NOW!"
Uraraka fired the gun.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
She fired three shots at the Pyramid Head. One on the right side of his chest, the other hitting the lower front of the metal mask, and the last one grazing his right bicep.
The Red Pyramid Head didn't cry out in pain while being shot, although he did stop when the bullets hit him. His chest was bleeding, while his right bicep bled as well. He staggered just a tiny bit, as his left hand went over to his sword's hilt that his right hand was holding, ready to swing it downward on them with both hands.
Seeing that he was still going to attack, Sandarando grabbed Uraraka by the shoulder and went for her arm to pull her away from the monster's swing. "Come on!"
"Ah!" Uraraka exclaimed as she was pulled back by her right arm, carrying the gun in her left hand.
Red Pyramid Head then swung the sword down on the ground, missing them just in time.
WHAM!
Both the man and the girl ran away from the monster, running into the dark hallway with Sandarando lighting the way as best as he could.
They ran...and ran...
...They could hear the Pyramid Head chasing them...seemingly going faster than he was before.
But they didn't look back. They kept going.
...Soon, they saw a door up ahead.
Thankful there was an end in sight, Sandarando opened the door, dragging Uraraka with him.
They were now outside...in an alleyway.
Not questioning where they were, Sandarando let go of Uraraka as they were out and closed the door. Turning to the girl, he said, "Come on, we got to lose him!"
"U-Uh, right!" Uraraka nodded, the adrenaline coming through her as she followed Sandarando through the alleyway. They went the left way of the alley, hoping they were going the right way. They turned to the right of the alley and ran through a straight line, which they soon went to another right, and then, they reached through the end of the alleyway.
Once they exited the alleyway, they were in an area where a construction site was present, construction for a new building. They passed the street and went to the metal gates that were guarding the construction site, finding a way to get in somehow.
Upon seeing no way to get in as of right now, Sandarando told Uraraka, "We have to climb through this fence!"
"Huh!? I-I mean, okay..." Uraraka then quickly thought, "Oh! Wait, maybe I can use my Quirk on you? You can float over the fence and I'll turn it off when you're over it!"
"Huh?" Sandarando blinked at that, "R-Really?"
"Yeah! I'll join you after I get you over there! Um...I have to touch your skin to let you float weightless, though, so..." Uraraka then looked nervous all of a sudden, "Can I touch your face, o-or...?
"Wha? T-Touch my face?" he asked, his face turning red as he looked surprised.
Uraraka felt a little embarrassed about asking this already, so she also blushed red, "I mean, that's the only way to let you float! I can't touch your clothes, they're totally different from your whole self! Your clothes will only lose their gravity and not your entire being!"
"Uh...oh..." Sandarando understood that, although he felt a little awkward, "Um...so you need to touch my face, uh, my skin to let me float?"
"Y-Yeah!" Uraraka nodded, "Um...l-lean over, um, please?"
Okay, what am I doing? I didn't think this through! Uraraka thought.
Deciding to not question this for now, Sandarando did as he was told and leaned forward, putting the gun in his jacket before he did.
Oh my. He's really handsome up close. Uraraka thought, her face a little redder as she lifted her right arm up to let her bare hand and used her five fingers on the left side of his face.
When her four fingers touched his face, she felt the fuzz on his face, the light stubble of a growing beard...
...Seeing that she was slightly caressing his face and hadn't let her thumb touch the rest of it, Uraraka snapped out of it and let her thumb touch his face, letting her hand retract quickly in embarrassment as Sandarando soon started to float.
"Wh-Whoa!" he exclaimed as he floated up, letting the loss of gravity overtake him.
"U-Uh, just grab onto the top of the fence and swing yourself on the other side! I'll turn it off once you're there!" Uraraka told him, putting her gun in her pants line.
"Uh, r-right!" Sandarando understood and floated up to the top of the fence, grabbing it as he swung himself over it on the other side.
"Okay!" Uraraka used both her hands and ten finger pads on her fingers to deactivate his gravity.
"Ack!" Sandarando fell and landed on the ground on his rear.
"U-Um, sorry! Hold on!" Uraraka then used her other hand to place her fingers on her face, and then she started to float up. Once she went over to the top of the fence, she grabbed the railing and swung over to the other side.
She touched each of her fingers together and deactivated her Quirk on herself, letting her fall. While in midair, Uraraka cursed in her mind when she was falling, hoping that she wouldn't land harshly.
However, she was caught...by Sandarando!
He caught her bridal style, which Uraraka had to blink for a second to see that she was okay. She looked at Sandarando, who also looked at her for a second in confusion but smiled at her seeing that she was alright.
"Uh...th-thanks..." Uraraka said.
"Uh, heh, no prob," Sandarando replied as she let her down gently.
Wow. He's also a gentleman... Uraraka then looked around the construction site they were in.
The site looked like they were building a three-storied facility...what it could be, they don't know.
Uraraka then saw that there was a construction trailer with a rectangular window and two doors nearby a little ways from where they were. Turning to Sandarando, she said to him, "Hey, let's check there real quickly. Maybe we can have some sort of clue of where we are and what to do next."
"Oh, uh, sure," he nodded.
Going over to the construction trailer, they went up the stairs to one of the doors, where Uraraka was about to open the door first, until Sandarando told her, "Wait, Uraraka! Let me go in first. We might not know what's in this trailer."
"Oh...I mean, well, if-if you say so..." Uraraka said, feeling as if maybe she was being a little impulsive for rushing in without thinking.
I mean...I hope nothing else comes at us...
Sandarando went ahead of her and opened the door to the trailer.
It was dark inside...
It was also quiet...
However, there was a light switch next to Sandarando, which he turned on.
The trailer was empty, save for a desk in front of them, and at the far right a table with blueprints laid out, a safe in the corner bottom corner, and a water cooler, of all things, being against the wall next to the door. Another door was over at the right end, where the next room was the office area, while this one was the meeting area.
Both Sandarando and Uraraka entered the trailer, closing the door on them, with the former going over to the table to see what the building's blueprints were, while the latter followed him to see what they were as well.
As they looked down at the blueprints, they saw that the building layout was for an orphanage.
"An orphanage?" Uraraka said out loud in question, "That building was going to be an orphanage at one time?"
Frowning at that, Sandarando stared at the layout of this orphanage, almost seemingly in thought.
Seeing the expression on his face, Uraraka grew concerned and asked him, "Sandarando? Are you alright?"
"Huh?" he uttered, "Oh, um, I...I was...thinking about..." his frown turned melancholy, "...well, Meri and I...we wanted a child. Maybe even adopt one. I mean, we thought about adoption before...she turned...sick..."
Uraraka frowned at that, feeling sorry for Sandarando. "Oh..." she looked back at the blueprints of the orphanage, gazing at them momentarily, until she turned her attention back to him, saying, "Um...Sandaran-"
Then, something inside her made her decide to try something different...
"...Jasei?" she said.
Sandarando - Jasei - looked at Uraraka, a little in shock that she used his first name.
"Wha-uh...yes, U-Uraraka?"
"..." Uraraka blinked, wondering why she said his first name to begin with, "U-Uh..." Now feeling a little embarrassed, she looked around the trailer to see if she could distract herself from this awkward tension. "Um..." Feeling trapped, she just blurted out, saying to him, "D-Don't worry! We'll find her! You don't have to worry anymore!"
Jasei blinked and just uttered, "Uh...okay..."
"Right!" Uraraka nodded, although feeling mortified at her impulsiveness in calling Sandarando by his first name...
But why did I, though?
She looked at the safe behind them in the corner to distract herself.
"Um..." she went over to the safe, inspecting it.
The safe was a little large...almost large enough to fit her inside of it...
...Another memory came to her...
She remembered...when she was four...that she and her mother were playing hide and seek in a construction site...and she thought of a perfect hiding place...
The safe...
She went inside to hide...closing the door with her inside it...
She was very small and she didn't know better at the time...
That's when the dark quiet surrounded her...and the air was thinning...
She started to panic...
And then...her Quirk started to activate at that time…
Her Quirk came to her as she touched the inside of the safe, letting it float...
Upon seeing that the safe was floating, her mother and father went over to it, opened it, and got their daughter out just in time.
It was...a rather traumatic experience...
"Uraraka?" said the voice of Jasei.
"Huh?" Uraraka turned her attention to him, "Uh, y-yes?"
Jasei looked at the girl and back at the safe. "Um...are you thinking something is inside that safe that can help us?"
Uraraka looked back at the safe again, "Um...w-well, m-may-"
BUMP! BUMP! BUMP!
Startled, both Uraraka and Jasei turned to the door that led to the office area.
BUMP! BUMP! BUMP!
"...Um...is someone supposed to...be here?" Uraraka asked Jasei a little uneasily.
Jasei didn't answer, standing there staring at the door as he tensed...
BUMP! BUMP! BUMP!
...Getting his gun ready, Jasei went in front of Uraraka, who also shakily got her gun out, and waited for whoever was going to barge out of the door.
BUMP! BUMP...BUMP, BUMP, BUMP!
And then-
BUMP-CRASH!
It came out.
Jasei looked on at the thing in horror.
Uraraka took a look at what came out...and her eyes widened in terror, unable to understand what she was seeing.
This...creature was just an average-looking body that had a male appearance...it looked nude, but no genitalia was shown.
But the most disturbing thing about it, was that the head...is just a large safe...
Its head looked blocky and fleshy, and it had somewhat of a door in the front of its face, with a dial and...an eye in the center of it?
It just looked...wrong. Very wrong.
It staggered around after using its head to knock open the door. Drunkenly, it started to swing its head around, like it was trying to balance the weight of its safe-looking head. It started to come toward them, swinging its head downward at Jasei.
He then aimed and fired at the monster.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The first bullet hit the monster in the blocky head, which let his head lurch back, the bullet ricocheting, the second bullet hitting it in the right shoulder, and the third bullet hitting it in the left chest. Despite the last two bullets hitting its body, it was still going, right toward Jasei.
"Jasei!" Uraraka exclaimed in panic.
Before he could try to fire again, the monster tilted its head to its right and swung it to its left to hit Jasei, sending him across the side of the room.
"Ugh!" Jasei exclaimed as he hit the side of the table, sending him and it toppling over.
"JASEI!" Uraraka called out to him, formalities long forgotten.
The safe monster kept its balance after the swing and went forward over to Uraraka, its hands reaching out to her.
"AAH!" Uraraka then quickly aimed and fired two shots.
BANG! BANG!
One in the chest again, and the other in the 'face', which it ricochets off it, the bullet going past her from the right.
The monster then grabbed Uraraka by the shoulders.
"AAAH!" Uraraka screamed.
Then, the 'door' that was its face...opened. The 'door' opened to its left, its face opening up altogether...whereas inside the blocky and fleshy head was...just gooey, bulbous, and wet skin...
Uraraka stared into the cramped, fleshy space, her eyes widened in dread and horror.
Uh, M-Momma? I'm in here! I-I can't get out!
The monster reared its head…
Momma? Momma! I-I can't breathe! Help!
...and then it slammed its open head onto Uraraka's head, letting the space consume her, darkening her vision...and blocking her air supply.
Momma? M-Momma!? MOMMA!?
Horrified, Uraraka dropped her gun and tried to get the monster's head out and off of her head with her hands. She gripped the edges of the monster's head, trying to push it off of her, but it almost proved futile.
M-MOMMA! HELP! D-DADDY!? MOMMA!? DADDY!? I-I CAN'T BREATHE! HELP! HELP! I-I'M SCARED!
Frantically trying to get this thing off of her, Uraraka was starting to feel it...the loss of air...loss of breath...her lungs were about to burst...
She...was she...
Was she going to die here?
Just when she thought all hope was lost...
BOOM!
Uraraka felt a jerk coming from the monster, which lurched backward, letting its head release her head and giving her fresh air again. She gasped as she inhaled that fresh air, letting her back away, tripping her own two feet and landing on her butt.
The monster lurched back as something struck it in the back...or moreover, someone struck it...
"DIE!" shouted...
...Bakugou!?
It was, indeed, none other than her classmate, Bakugou Katsuki!
The monster - could she call it a Safekeeper? - regained its balance, almost not letting the blow affect it. It swung its head to its left to try to hit Bakugou, who jumped back away from the swing.
Bakugou sneered at the monster and shouted at it, "So you ain't down yet, huh!? Well, let's see how you like this!"
He rushed over to the Safekeeper and jumped, delivering a kick to the monster's 'face', making it fall backward and land on its back! The Safekeeper, with its blocky head being heavier, apparently, tried to get up but was squirming around and having a hard time doing so.
As Bakugou landed on his feet, he scoffed, "Shit, you ain't nothing."
Then, Jasei, who recovered from being hit by the Safekeeper, got up with his gun in his hands, aimed the gun at the monster, and started to shoot four shots into the monster's body.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
The gunshots surprised Bakugou just a bit, backing away from Jasei's gun firing at the thing. The Safekeeper got shot through its body, blood splattering from its wounds. After being shot multiple times, the monster convulsed, and then...it laid still, limp as it succumbed to its injuries.
...Everything was silent for a moment...
...Jasei then turned to Uraraka, "Uraraka! Are you alright!?"
Uraraka sat there, her eyes still wide as she looked at the dead thing...
"Uraraka!?"
Snapping out of her trance, Uraraka looked up at Jasei, blinking at him as she saw his concerned face.
"Uh...y-yeah...th-thank you, J-...Jasei," Uraraka said to him.
Bakugou scowled, "Hey, I helped put this fucker down as well!"
Uraraka turned her attention to Bakugou, "Oh! Um...B-Bakugou? Y-You're here?"
"Of course I'm here! I was with you and the other extras, ya know!?" Bakugou exclaimed.
"Wha-no, I meant...you're here where...we are?" Uraraka asked him curiously.
Jasei looked at Bakugou and said, "Oh hey, you're the Bakugou kid I met earlier."
"Yeah. Hey," Bakugou nodded. He glanced at Jasei's gun, "Where the fuck did you found a gun?"
At the mention of 'gun', Uraraka looked on the ground to see where hers was. It was next to the dead bleeding Safekeeper, the blood almost about to touch the gun as it seeped on the floor. Not wanting to let there be blood on the gun, Uraraka dove at it and got the gun by its handle, standing up as she got away from the bloody corpse.
A little surprised at Bakugou's blunt and crass question, he answered, "Um, me and Uraraka found these guns at a bank."
"A bank?" Bakugou raised an eyebrow, "Who leaves guns in a bank?"
Then, he realized...
"Wait..." Bakugou turned to Uraraka, who had a gun in her hands. "...You're using a fucking gun in this place?"
"Um...well, it's like...someone is giving us guns..." Uraraka said a little lamely, "B-But, they're for self-defense!" she defended herself, "I mean, I don't think we'll go to jail or anything for, um...you know using them!"
"..." Bakugou stared at her for a moment and then at Jasei, "...Okay, what the fuck is going on here? I was at an apartment complex a while back because..." he grunted, seemingly not finishing that statement, "Either way, I fought some samurai Villain there, and I escaped from that apartment place, and then I'm here, where I heard some gunshots going off..." he looked down at the Safekeeper. "...Just what the fuck is this thing?"
"Uh..." Uraraka then remembered something crucial that involved Bakugou, "Wait! Where's Todoroki and Jirou!?"
"Eh? Ah, those office supplies are sucking face somewhere, I don't know."
"Huh!?" Uraraka blinked at that answer.
Todoroki and Jirou!? ...Huh...I can kind of see it.
"Um, excuse me?" Jasei spoke up.
Both teens looked at the older man.
"Uh...I think we should try to...find our...friends? I mean, I'm looking for my...my wife, but I...um, yeah..." Jasei rubbed the back of his head, a little bit sheepishly, "...Maybe we should exit this trailer and see where to go next as well as find out what we need to do?"
Bakugou stared at Jasei, and just shrugged, "Yeah, sure."
Uraraka was about to agree but saw the safe that was next to her. She glanced at Bakugou and thought of an idea.
"Um, actually, Bakugou, could you, uh...maybe blast this safe door open?" she asked him.
The blonde boy looked at the chestnut-haired girl like she was about to commit a crime...which, in a way, she might have well been.
"...You want me to blow up a safe?" he asked.
"Well, who knows? It might have something useful inside! I mean, could you please do that?" she asked him as she put her hands together in a pleading way.
"...Fuck no."
"...Eh!?"
Jasei frowned at that answer, "Bakugou, language."
Bakugou ignored him as he told Uraraka, "I ain't no one's errand boy. Besides, I don't want to get in trouble blowing shit up in this abandoned town-turned park. I'm being a Hero, not a juvenile."
"B-But-"
"No way, Round Face. I ain't even losing my internship for that shit either."
BING!
"Huh?" Bakugou looked down at his pocket where his phone was. He got it out and looked at the screen of his phone, mumbling, "Who the fuck is texting me?"
...Then, his eyes widened a bit.
It said...
[What's the matter? Giving up? The girl is right, you know. Maybe you'll find a clue and find your speedy classmate as well as the others. Want to get that Hero cred, am I right? Maybe even find the Hero Killer and teach him a lesson.]
"..." Bakugou sneered.
Uraraka and Jasei looked at Bakugou in confusion.
"...Okay then, fine, ya fucker," Bakugou muttered to the phone. Putting his phone in his pocket, he said, "Alright, I'll blast the shitty safe open. Out of the way."
Uraraka blinked, "Uh..."
She did as she was told though, as Bakugou came up to the safe and got ready. He raised his hand and slammed his hand on the dial of the safe, breaking it.
BOOM!
He raised his hand again and slammed against one of its hinges.
BOOM!
And one more time at the other hinge.
BOOM!
Soon, the safe door basically loosened itself, now being easily accessible.
Bakugou backed away and said to Uraraka, "Okay, Round Face, check whatever you want to check in there."
"...Okay then..." she went over to the safe and cautiously approached it. Reaching out for the handle, she pulled it and opened it with ease, letting the door fall off its hinges with a plop-bang!
...Ignoring that, Uraraka looked inside the safe to see...
...That there was a piece of paper in it.
Looking in the safe as well, Bakugou scowled, "A piece of paper, huh? Well, that's a fucking waste."
"Bakugou, wait a minute," Uraraka told him as she reached out for the paper and picked it up. She read the piece of paper as it says:
You have a stab wound. You might need to go to the hospital. It's nearby. Go to the right side of the orphanage and keep walking down the road.
Just hurry on over. That wound is not going to heal itself.
"...Huh?" Uraraka uttered in question.
"What's wrong, Uraraka?" Jasei asked her.
"...Um...we might need to go to the...hospital?" she answered, a little confused.
"Huh? The hospital?" Bakugou raised an eyebrow, "The fuck for?"
Jasei then had a thought that could be possible.
"Wait...maybe...maybe my wife...maybe she could be there..." he said, his tone hopeful.
Uraraka looked up at Jasei, "Oh! Well...yeah, maybe she is!" she said with a smile.
Bakugou looked at Uraraka and Jasei dumbfounded. He grunted, "Ah, shit, I just want to find the Hero Killer and beat him."
Jasei looked at Bakugou with a frown, "Bakugou, being a Hero isn't always about beating up bad guys. You have to help people as well."
"Yeah, well, I'm no closer to finding Four-Eyes and Stain anytime soon! I feel like this whole thing is a fuckin' bust," Bakugou mumbled as he walked through the door that he came in, the office door that the monster came from.
Uraraka then spoke out, "Wait, Bakugou! We might need your help either way! We could use your Quirk for offensive attacks if we ever come up with any monsters here! Who knows, maybe Iida and Stain could be in the hospital! We just got to stick together this time!"
"...Feh," Bakugou put his hands in his pockets in frustration, "Okay, whatever. Let's just get out of this place."
Sighing at Bakugou's reluctance, Uraraka turned to Jasei and said, "Sorry about Bakugou. Really, I don't know why he's like that. But as of right now, I think it's safe to say that we might be okay from any monsters from here on in now that we have Bakugou here."
"Um...right..." Jasei looked at the direction Bakugou went out of, "...So he's always like that?"
Uraraka sighed, "...Yeah."
"Oh...um...I'm sorry to hear that," Jasei said sympathetically.
"Hey! You want me to leave you two!?" Bakugou yelled out from outside.
The two of them followed Bakugou out of the trailer and into the night again.
As they walked around the construction site, Uraraka looked at the building that was once being built and followed her gaze to the right side of it. On the right side of the building, there seemed to be the gate that was covering the perimeter, but there was an opening on that side of it.
"Oh! Did you go through there, Bakuguo?" Uraraka asked him.
"Tch, yeah. It was the only opening there was," Bakugou mumbled.
As soon as they went over to it...
...Someone else came through the opening...
All three of them paused.
It was...
"...Ah, shit," Bakugou cursed.
It's that samurai bastard!
For the both Uraraka and Jasei...
Oh no...it's him again! Uraraka thought fearfully.
It's...that Red Pyramid Head Thing! Jasei thought, his eyes widened.
Okay! Well, this was a long one! XD Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been helping my parents a little bit. But I hope this was worth the wait! ;)
No worries, though, we'll get back to Shouto and Kyoka soon, as well as Tenya! We waited too long for that! XP
(Also, yes, I am calling 'Sandarando' Jasei from now on. It's a lot easier for me and or everyone else at this point. XD )
But yeah, my birthday is coming up, and I'm hoping I update a story before my birthday comes next Saturday! Here's hoping! ;D But yeah, thank you all for waiting patiently with me on this! X) Leave a review, fave, and a follow! :D
Thank you all for reading and keep on rocking everybody! :)
