This is just my attempt at writing a multi-chapter LadyLuka fanfic that parallels "The Melody of Your Heart" with how...While the first story is the slowburn of the century for Marinette and Viperion...This story takes the exact opposite route of having Luka and Ladybug already dating.

And to note, this story will connect with "The Melody of Your Heart". How? You'll find out eventually ehehehe!

And writing a "what if?" with Ladybug being Luka's primary love interest is fun...I know I fuel the Vipernette ship on a daily basis but LadyLuka is underrated. It made me fall in love with red/blue relationships again. It reminded me that I used to love red and blue relationships. Fox and Krystal from Starfox. Judai and Johan from YugiOh GX. Zuko and Sokka from Avatar the Last Airbender etc etc. And LadyLuka's crimson red and cobalt blue is aesthetically pleasing.

Anyways, I hope someone gets enjoyment out of this. Thanks for reading!

Luka loved playing music for everyone to enjoy. He loved the thrill of playing on stage and singing for all the fans.

But the life of a teenage rockstar was lonelier than anyone would think. He was still mostly known as Jagged Stones' son. Luka lost contact with his friends from his high school band Kitty Section when he became a celebrity, and his own father is always traveling. He doesn't even act like an actual father.

Life for Luka Couffaine was so hard when Luka wasn't playing music to let it all out.

That is until he met her.

A girl in a red and black suit with her blue eyes framed by a mask swung onto the balcony of Luka's penthouse apartment while he was practicing the guitar, and she nearly made him fall over. Her blue eyes were so mysterious, and they looked at each other with wonder.

She ended up resting on his apartment balcony, but Luka couldn't bring himself to kick her out. Besides, she admitted she was a fan of his by exclaiming, "I love your music!" like she was dying to tell him that in person.

And Luka knew her as well. She was Ladybug, the mysterious red hero who guarded Paris. She was on his balcony and could talk for hours about how his music gave her strength in the most intense battles she fought.

Luka had to admit to himself that his heart caved in on him at that moment. Something more personal than thousands of fans cheering him on in the crowd. Instead, the mysterious Ladybug told him she was his biggest fan.

And their chemistry grew from there. Since Luka was mostly alone in this apartment, they could be alone together and talk about everything. Luka would also play music for her, and both of them would laugh until their sides hurt. And later, they enjoyed cuddling and lacing each other's hands together. Eventually, Luka gently cupped her face with his hand and moved in to kiss her, only for Ladybug to passionately plant a kiss on his lips that made him see fireworks.

That's how they started secretly dating. Luka always looked forward to Ladybug's visits on quiet nights, and others noticed that Luka seemed happier, but Luka just pretended nothing out of the ordinary had changed.

Although this relationship was the most incredible high Luka had ever had, it was still complicated. Yes, he adored his superhero girlfriend, but he wasn't too fond of the secret. Those romantic nights they would have together, only for Ladybug to have to leave him when the morning came. Luka had to wash the red lipstick stains off him so nobody would find out.

But he didn't have much time to think about it as tonight he opened the doors to the balcony and waited for her again.

Luka glanced at the cityscape and the twinkling stars in the night sky above him before grabbing his guitar and playing a cheery tune. A tune that helped him remember when his world came alive again, and everything in his vision became more colorful and bright. How all of Paris started to come alive again and how love didn't feel like some cliche love song anymore.

Eventually, Ladybug swung to the penthouse apartment and clung to the balcony's edge. She climbed up and saw Luka playing guitar with his eyes closed. He was looking so happy, so she stayed quiet for a moment. But when Luka was finished playing and opened his beautiful aquamarine eyes, Ladybug couldn't help but make herself known.

"Hello, blue wonder!" Ladybug cried.

Luka was nearly taken aback as he placed his hand over his chest. "Ladybug!"

That was a giant grin Ladybug adored more than anything. It was a side of Luka that wasn't seen while performing on stage. Ladybug batted her eyelashes and blushed. "Sorry, I'm late."

Luka smiled down at her and held out his hand. "I knew you would come."

Ladybug grinned and took Luka's hand as he pulled her onto the balcony, wrapped his arms around her, and twirled her in the air a few times. "Whoa!" Ladybug cried as she hugged him tightly, and Luka's back hit the wall. Ladybug bit her lip, feeling guilty, but Luka was far too love-struck to care as he stroked her cheek before leading her into the apartment.

Luka urged her to sit on the couch even if Ladybug was as eager as ever.

"I'll make dinner," he said.

"Ooo!" Ladybug sat back and watched with glee as Luka got the takeout boxes of Chinese food from the fridge. She noted that Luka was improving at using a wok and seemed to enjoy cooking for himself rather than eating at restaurants all the time. It didn't matter to her that it was just leftover Chinese food. It still tasted delicious, especially since she was eating with Luka.

Luka placed the plate on the coffee table. "Here."

Ladybug squealed again and took some chopsticks that Luka offered.

She clapped her hands together and smiled at Luka. He smiled in return as they both dug in and enjoyed the big plate of food. Ladybug was occasionally coy, knocking her chopsticks against Luka and pretending to sword fight.

And when they filled their stomachs and laid down on the couch, they started talking about their adventures. Ladybug could only talk about so much because she had to protect Luka, but she felt she could give her boyfriend a little bit more leeway since he earned her trust.

"Being in this noisy and snooty city for so long, it was so nice to see dragonflies race each other. And bumble bees collect pollen from flowers, it's so nice to have quiet and see nature come alive," Ladybug said.

Luka smiled. "Believe me, I would love a break from being a superficial rockstar like my father and just go camping and play the guitar under the stars."

"Ooo!" Ladybug cried as she crawled closer to Luka. Her mysterious blue eyes gleamed into Luka's aqua-blue eyes. "I would love to join you."

Luka chuckled, but then the couple paused, pondering whether their relationship was ready to go that far or if it could even go that far in the first place. Ladybug frowned, picked herself up from Luka, and looked outside the balcony where the stars were shining. Luka sat beside her and felt like wishing as he looked at the stars. The young couple linked hands and were shocked that a shooting star appeared before them.

Ladybug giggled, and she rested her head on Luka's chest. Luka wrapped his arm around her.

"We'll escape into nature, someday soon," Luka whispered.

Luka's soft whispers were music to Ladybug's ears.

"Someday soon," Ladybug replied.

Ladybug sighed as she and Luka fell back on the couch together. It almost felt like a dream for both of them every time they fell asleep on the couch, feeling each other's warmth. Ladybug was a lonely hero who had found someone she could confide in, and Luka was a simple rockstar who had found someone to make this dead-end career a lot less lonely.

Sure, they both knew Ladybug had to leave in the morning, but Luka would hold on to her until then.

The lights turned off, and Ladybug lightly glided her hand on Luka's chest before laying her head to listen to his heartbeat.

"It's ok, I'll always be connected to you," Ladybug whispered.

"I know this song by heart," Ladybug whispered as she fell asleep.

The first rays of sunlight woke Ladybug up, and she quickly got off Luka to see him smiling in his sleep. Ladybug could watch her precious blue angel like that forever, but she had to snap out of it and run to the bathroom to freshen up. When she was in the bathroom, she dropped her transformation so she could shower.

Ladybug hummed Luka's song offkey as she enjoyed the hot shower, and Luka woke up just in time to listen to her. Made him think of the recurring dream he had of Ladybug being part of one of his concerts.

When Ladybug was done in the shower, she put her civilian clothes back on, wiped the fog off the mirror, and revealed her smiling civilian form as Marinette Dupain Cheng before putting on her glasses.

"Not too shabby!" Marinette rejoiced.

Then she grabbed her compact again. "Spots on!"

Through her own sneaky maneuvers, Ladybug got out of the apartment without Luka noticing. Luka heard the bathroom door unlock and expected Ladybug to say goodbye before leaving. But Luka noticed Ladybug rushed out almost too late. He ran out to the balcony and caught a glance of Ladybug swinging away.

Luka knew Ladybug needed to leave at dawn before morning came, and Ladybug regretted leaving Luka so swiftly. Still, both of them could be more careful about their relationship.

However, every time they got together, they wanted to get closer and closer.

Marinette had to be the luckiest girl alive to date teen musician Luka Couffaine on sheer dumb luck but as her superhero persona, Ladybug.

Yes, Marinette knew she was in the biggest pickle in the world for this. Still, there was something undeniable between her and Luka, and she couldn't just walk away.

Their relationship still felt miles apart as she watched a large building video of Luka playing the guitar and everyone else around her cheering.

Marinette pushed her glasses up and grinned at her shining star, before blowing a kiss at him.
