Chapter 7: Counterstrike
It's been a few days since Ayaka and V became a couple. V is preparing to enjoy a nice swim by his penthouse in his outdoor swimming pool. "So, I heard about you making it official with V?" Michiko asked on the holo phone.

"There are hostages. We are sending in our solos to deal with this. Cho and Zell went in sooner via AV. You two need to go there as well," the operator said.
"We are on it," Ayaka said as they got into their combat gear. V puts on his helmet and body armor over his combat uniform. Ayaka puts on a combat bodysuit to grab onto her sword Mist Slicer to go into the armory.
"Gee, data on the spaceport. Over 200 Iron Legion terrorists are scattered throughout the port and holding down hostages," V said as he grabbed an M245 SAW Midway light machine gun which is based on western machine gun models chambered for the 6.5x45mm rounds with 200 bullets in the ammo box. He also grabs a Tactician pump action shotgun.
Ayaka grabs a Shingen smart SMG and a Kenshin tech pistol. They go outside to see Arasaka AV collect them and take them to the battle zone with the broadcast buzzing with the Neo-Nazi killing people who look at them funny.
"The hell is this," V said as there was a video of the Iron Legion being broadcast to the city.
"We will cleanse this nation from the filth. To keep it pure and bright like marble. The poison that has rotted the FSA is because these fake Americans will never be able to bring it back to its full glory," the speaker said for V turned it off.
"What nonsense, just say you are resisting asshole, and not dress it up with nonstarters," V said.
"It's sad but some people fall into it anyway," Ayaka said as she checked her Shingen submachine gun to approach the roof of the main building complex. There is a huge circle of SWAT units and Arasaka backup is there
Okay, the mission is simple. Clear out the complex, rescue the hostages, and kill the bastards. Pretty simple," Ayaka said as she cocks her SMG with them hovering by a roof. "Looks like the roof has guards," she said as V fired his machine gun to take out the guards.
"Simple," V said to open the door to hover nearby to put down the terrorists in the head seeing blood escaping onto the ground.
Ayaka uses quickhacks to destroy the rest of the guards seeing them all consumed with flames. "Roof cleared," she said as the AV hovered above the roof for them to land on the ground with Ayaka holding onto her weapon.
Ayaka hacks into the camera to jump into another one to see through the cameras. "I got multiple hostiles with Wyvern drones and cybernetic dogs named Stalkers," Ayaka said.
"Hate those dogs," V said
"Well stay on your toes," Ayaka said as they went in to see multiple Iron Legion fighters wielding AKR-20 assault rifles and VST-37 Pozhar shotguns.
The two get into cover with V firing his Tactician shotgun to put down the fighter with the terrorists setting up defensive positions with drones covering them. The Stalkers are using cloaking to become invisible to begin the attack.
V tosses EMP grenades to expose the stealthy cyber dogs to use his shotgun to blast open their skulls. One of the Stalkers tackles V trying to bite into his throat but he kicks the robot dog away to fire a slug into its head to make it disappear in a red mist.
Ayaka gets hit by Smart rounds from the drones to tank their hits with her skin toughening. She fires her smart gun to knock out the drones from the air while slicing up a close by terrorist with a one-handed slice splitting her in half.
She spreads Contagion while triggering Overheat to let out a series of gassy explosions in violet chain reactions. She leaps up with her powerful cyber legs to go down with her blade to sever a man in half while using her Kenshin to fire two rounds at each drone in her view.
V is using his Sandy to avoid getting hit by rockets and grenades while kicking a grenade back at the source blasting them to bits. He wields his Midway to unleash a wave of white-hot lead piercing into his targets to see them falling into their pools of blood.
V looks through the hybrid scope with a magnifier pulled to the side to use the red dot sight to put down more terrorists and drones.
"Area is cleared," Ayaka said as she detected guards securing hostages within the next room. She looks through the camera inside to deliver powerful shocks to fry their bodies to drop them lifelessly on the floor.
They knocked through the door to secure the hostages. "Hey, you guys there?" Cho asked on the radio to clear out Neo Nazis with Zell wielding his Custom Standard D ACPA with a shoulder-mounted rocket pod, mono blade in the right waist, and a flamethrower in the left waist. He is wielding an MA70 HB machine gun like a rifle firing explosive rounds to turn groups into piles of bones and gore.
Zell leaps towards the group to unleash an energy shockwave through his armored feet to scatter the terrorists' broken bodies into the walls and floor. He slices a terrorist in half while burning a group of thugs alive. Several rounds strike his modified power suit able to shrug it off with ease.
"Yeah, we are. We saved a bunch of hostages. What is your status?" Ayaka asked.
"Yep, we rescue some ourselves. They got some heavy firepower here, don't know how they sneak it into here," Cho said as she used an Aki Ashi precision rifle and a Kappa smart machine pistol.
"LAW inbound," Zell said as they saw a large 4-legged robot covered in heavy armor and an auto grenade launcher on top lobbing explosives at them.
She tosses an EMP grenade to disable the LAW with Zell coming out to fire a rocket to strike the LAW to destroy it in a fiery blast. She tosses a Recon grenade to tag several enemies behind the cover. She fires her rifle to have charged shots punch through cover to nail them in the head.
"Hostages in this room," Zell said as there were several enemies inside a room holding multiple hostages. Cho can see through the walls to use charged shots to pierce through the walls taking them all out. They come in and secure the hostages.
"We got these guys. We are going forward," Cho said.
V and Ayaka are heading into another area which is
"Shit, we can't lose the hostages. Bring in the PAC," the commander said as he called on the radio.
Ayaka fires her Shingen locking onto several terrorists and taking them out via headshots. She hears heavy steps to sees a large 9-foot humanoid mech called a PAC (Powered Armor Crusader) armed with minigun-linked arms, a shoulder-mounted rocket battery, and flamethrowers built into its feet.
"Die you fucking Jap," the Iron Legion pilot said through the speakers firing a high stream of bullets to tear through the environment. Then getting behind a thick metal box to shield from the mech.
"Can you hack it?" V asked Ayaka.
"Nope, strong ICE on this one," Ayaka said.
"Draw its attention, I will take it out," V said wielding his arm blades to use his Sandy to go into the offensive to deflect the shots while the rapid barrage of 7.62x51mm rounds struck her body multiple times but got close to push himself into the large mech to stun it a bit.
"Damn it," the PAC gets moved to a generator with Ayaka hacking the generator to make it overload to let out an electric blast to stun it. This lets V latch on several sticky grenades on the large mech to blow off the right limb.
"Your suit is going to be scrap metal soon," V said as he used his jump boosters in his legs to get out of a barrage of rockets to miss their targets.
"I will not let these jap fuckers get close," the pilot said as he slammed its foot to unleash a wave of flames which dodges with ease.
"Damn Choom, this isn't 1940s. Get out of the past or better yet get out of your ass," V said kicking a box to slam into the mech. Ayaka causes the generator to explode causing more damage to the PAC.
Ayaka finds a fallen RPG-B which is an upgraded version of the RPG-A made for fighting heavier vehicles. She fires the powerful rocket and strikes down the PAC to see it fall onto the floor with the pilot dead from the massive damage the mech took.
"Hey, Cho and Zell, what is your status?" Ayaka asked on the radio.
"We are pushing through the enemies. It's so bad here," Cho said.
"Yeah Choomba, this place is a total warzone. Guards killed and civilians getting wiped out especially ones they don't like," Zell said.
The dup went into the lobby to see a bunch of dead bodies piled on the floor. "Fuck me, these monsters just love this," V said.
"Disgusting trash," Ayaka feeling upset about this with another PAC blocking their path.
Ayaka uses a Militech RPG-B launcher to fire at the mech and hit it in the arm destroying that side of the mech.
"Eat this," Ayaka fired another rocket to blow the PAC away turning it into a flaming pile of scrap. "Okay on the enemy comm. The hostages are on the next floor below," Ayaka said looking through a camera to see multiple Iron Legion members holding several civilians in a large room having two doors.
They reached the room where the commander and the others were guarding the hostages. "We are going to breach from both doors," Cho said as V and Ayaka were on one door with Zell and Cho on the other.
V grips his shotgun tight to the breach to slam through the doors to quickly pick off targets while avoiding hitting the civilians. They clear out of the room to see the commander is dead with the spaceport staff safe from harm.
"Okay. We got the hostages," Cho said on the radio to the SWAT units along with Arasaka backup for them to swarm in to clear out the rest of the terrorists.
"Good work team," the operator said on the radio.
"All in a day's work sir," V said.
"They got very bold and they got some powerful hardware," Ayaka said.
"From their Militech backers no doubt. The missions completed, let the counter-terrorists deal with the rest," Zell said.
"Well V, you were quite impressive out there," Cho said to sling her rifle on her back.
"I try to do my best," V said as they left the spaceport with the security units coming in to sweep and kill off the rest of the terrorists completing their mission.
