So, please enjoy this chapter, don't forget to leave a review or drop a fav or a follow and I'll see you as soon as I get the next chapter done.
EDIT: GUESS WHAT?! I found the original chapter I wrote which is ten times better than this version! So now we have the original chapter I originally wrote with an even steamier sex scene! Please enjoy!
Chapter 379
The last stop on his birthday of jumping was a theater.
Not a movie theater, but an actual theater. And not a modern one, but a fancy one. The seats were covered in royal red velvet, everything that wasn't red was gold, except the walls which were sky blue.
They were in their own personal box, a rather large box actually, and from the ceiling hung a little crystal chandelier.
And already sitting in their seats were all his friends.
The friends that knew about Rowan's powers that is.
Con was the one that was on the other side of the door and ushered them to where they were sitting, with a loud: "And the man of the hour is here!"
His friends all clapped for him, and he smiled, noting right away that out of everyone was there.
Already sitting down were Kono and Chin, Grover, and Jian and his mother. Danny was there too, in his own tux, perfectly alive. Wo was pushing him forward so he could take his seat. As he looked over the railing, he could see they were the only ones there.
And everyone was dressed up. Not just him, Wo and Danny.
Jian was in this red flowing gown. Kono was in an off white, almost cream gown. Grover, Chin and Adam were in all Tuxes like his. Even Con was in a tux, but he was clearly on door duty.
In the orchestra pit was a full orchestra practicing already. The house lights were still on, there was a red curtain in front of the stage.
The only thing missing was his wife. If they were here to watch a show, where the hell was his wife? His wife was the one who liked these things. Not him. Not that he'd complain. A whole theater to himself and his friends, there was no way he could complain. Except he was going to because the point was to spend the whole day with his wife. And she wasn't there.
"Do any of you guys know where Ro is?"
"She's getting ready," Jian said, but that didn't make sense. Ro and Jian had jumped here before him and Jian was already ready. What the hell was Rowan doing to herself that had her not ready yet?
Behind them, Con opened the door again. That was another thing that was weird. How was Rowan not here but holding a portal open in that doorway? Particularly one to different places, because there was no one else in Japan for her to bring here, which meant she was pulling from somewhere else.
Actually, who else could she want to pull? No one else really knew about her powers.
"Uh… was not expecting two," Con said and when Steve turned he found Nahele standing there with a very confused Grace.
God damn it, he had told Nahele that Ro's powers needed to be a secret, why the hell would he do this?
And why was he holding Grace's hand?
"Uh… Monkey…. What are you doing here?" Danny said standing up and Steve did the same.
The two teens let go of each other's hands. "Hi Danno," she said almost apologetically. "Where are we?"
"It's a super secret underground theater," Con said dryly as the two dads moved towards their kids.
Danno got to Grace to talk to her, and Steve went to Nahele.
"Hey… what are you doing here?"
"Well… it the last stop of the day and mom said I could come if I wanted to and I wanted to be here for you…"
"Yeah and that's great, but what about your party?"
"I've been at it all day," he said. "I caught major waves, had fun with Makani and Kai and if we're going to be honest my bonfire got hijacked by popular kids with alcohol."
Steve must have pulled a face because Nahele immediately said: "No I wasn't drinking and I made sure Grace wasn't either. Not sure about Will to be honest, cause I haven't seen him yet, but he's Grover's kid so I'm assuming he's not."
Yeah, that did not bode well. And he needed to make sure Grover and Danny didn't hear about the alcoholic party of Nahele's that their kids were attending.
"Alright… well… okay… as long as you're sure. I was serious, you know, about you having the day to yourself and your friends. You don't have to be here just for me."
"Naw, it's not the only reason I'm here."
"This is nice," Con said interrupting the two parents. "But I only have a suit for Nahele. I was unaware that he was bringing a date."
"Oh, no…" "…no we're not…" "not dating…" the two kids tried to explain but Con wasn't having it.
"That's alright," Jian said interrupting the both of them. "She can come with me, we'll see if the costume master has a dress for her, what do you say?"
Grace nodded, watching as Nahele was handed a dress bag that no doubt had his suit. "Do you want me to help you with the tie?" he asked.
"Why?" Wo asked butting in between them. "You couldn't do up your own bowtie. Just take a seat Birthday-boy. I'll get Nahele ready. Go talk to your friends."
As Wo disappeared with Steve's son, Danny and Steve had no choice but to take their seats. The friends all exchanged small talk until it was basically 9 at night in Hawaii. Steve wasn't sure where they were so he didn't know what time it was.
Nahele and Wo came back first. Nahele took the seat beside Steve, while Wo took the other one. When Jian came back with Grace, Grace took the seat beside Nahele, and Danny sat beside her. While Jian took the seat beside Wo with Con next to her. The rest of their friends took their seats behind them, all of them seemingly aware of what was coming.
Nahele was looking like a mini-Steve, but Grace, Grace had come out in this beautiful sparkling dusty rose floor length gown. Danny had beamed when he saw her, told her she looked beautiful, and Nahele had done the same.
The smile that Steve's son won from Grace was worrying, but he didn't want to get into that now and he wouldn't unless Danny gave him shit.
Once everyone was in their seats the house lights went down and a man came out onto the stage.
"Welcome Ladies and Gentleman. Thank you for joining us tonight at Teatro La Fenice…" Venice, they were back in Venice. But… why were they back here? They had done everything already. "…for Rowan Pierce's second engagement!"
What the actual fuck?!
"Whoa, hold on. Second engagement? What the fuck is he talking about? We haven't broken up, who the hell even proposed to her?!" Steve thundered jumping out of his seat
"He's means second showing here at this theater, you idiot!" Wo hissed and Steve sunk down in his seat.
"Sorry… I didn't… I just panicked…"
"Shut up," Wo hissed and Steve went quiet. The only thing that made him feel better, other then watching his wife walking out on that stage in a stunningly gorgeous dress, was his son reaching out to hold his hand. Being sure to give him a bit of a squeeze of solidarity.
Rowan had come out in a completely different dress from the original dress that Wo Fat had bought her all those years ago, but still had all together the same look as her original one.
This dress was Navy blue, with sparkling crystals all over the bodice and sown into the skirt of the gown. It literally looked like she was wearing the night sky.
It had a swear heart bodice, with no straps but lace sleeves that started right under her arms. She was wearing the stolen diamond Necklace and her hair was done up in the amazing updo. She looked stunning, and Steve wanted nothing more than to take her to bed in that dress, just so he could take it off of her.
But he realized what had happened. She was going to give him a concert, just like she had for Wo and Con almost a full year ago. The crown jewel of the whole trip.
That video had done unspeakable things to him. It took his breath away and had broken his heart all over again. Now he was going to see it in person and he could take the girl home when she was done taking his breath away.
Everyone around clapped and cheered for Rowan but only when they were finally quiet, and she was in the middle of the stage, did she nod to the orchestra.
The second they started playing, Steve reached out for Nahele again, because he knew this song.
I'm trying to hold my breath…
She stopped and actually took a breath, before continuing with the song.
Let it stay this way, can't let this moment end. You set off a dream in me. Getting louder now, can you hear it echoing? Take my hand, will you share this with me? 'Cause darling, without you…
Steve found himself sitting straighter in his seat. He couldn't take his eyes off of his wife, how much she looked at home on that stage. She was a born performer, god how he wished she could do this more.
All the shine of a thousand spotlights, all the stars we steal from the night sky, will never be enough. Never be enough. Towers of gold are still too little, these hands could hold the world but it'll, never be enough. Never be enough… For me!
As soon as she hit the high note for the for me the background behind her lit up, an explosion of fireworks went off on a screen behind her.
As the song grew, and her voice grew higher, Steve found himself breathlessly in awe of her.
She looked happy, she looked happier then he had ever seen her before, just lost in the music and his heart was up in his throat.
It was the words. Her words. That song. He didn't know if it was true or not, and he would be asking her later, but those words, they felt like she was talking to him. Him and Nahele. That nothing in this world was more important to her than them. That all the gold and cash and material items were not worth more than them.
There came that rising crescendo and without even thinking he reached out with his other hand and grabbed onto Wo, who, without a second thought held his hand back.
The song came to an end and Steve was up on his feet with the rest of his friends clapping and cheering. Behind him Chin was whistling for her, Nahele kept shouting that that was his mom. It was just amazing.
Rowan smiled at them all, waving up to them and eventually as it died down.
"Would you guys like another song?" she called up to them and that got a resounding cry of yes from the people that were sitting with them.
Rowan nodded. "Alright," she called up. "Give me one second."
She left the stage briefly, only to come back with her black guitar. With her someone helping her, a someone who was carrying the mic.
Rowan got herself situation in front of it, and then she no longer had to yell.
"So Uhm… you guys might recognize this song. I've been trying write this song for a while. I've had a hard time trying to figure out the lyrics but I've recently got them down," she said as she strummed through a very familiar melody.
She was right, Steve did recognize this one. She had been trying to write it the year before the Year of Deceit.
And then she was singing.
I've been to Paris, made my way down to Rome, seen the sun setting on the beach on Oahu. But I could care less, 'cause I was all alone, and there ain't no way to touch hug my baby over the phone.
It looked a little weird, Rowan singing a country song in such a glitzy red-carpet dress. But he didn't care, because that was his wife, and this song was about them and she looked beautiful in every single way.
But then that helper came back out and to her. She didn't have anything with her though. Instead what she did was go right up to Rowan, take a hold of the waist of her dress and rip it right off.
Steve let out a gasp, firstly because he didn't know why someone who worked at this theater would pants his wife in the middle of a concert. But Rowan wasn't left with standing there in her underwear, which was a view that was for him and only for him. With the skirt gone he could see that a pair of matching navy blue pants were underneath, with a swirling crystal pattern. They looked as satin as the corset top. The pants were ankle long and she was in a pair of matching red bottomed heels.
Now she most definitely looked the part now.
I've been all around the world, done all there is to do, but you'll always be the home I wanna come home to. You're a wild night with a hell of a view. There ain't no place, ain't no place like you. There ain't no place, ain't no place like you.
Well she had definitely figured it out and it was definitely a song about them. But not just her and Steve, it was about all of them. It was about how she went away for a year, got to see everything she wanted to see but it was Steve, Nahele and the rest of her Five-0 family that she missed, that she really wanted to be with.
You're my daybreak, you're my California sun. You're my London, Berlin, Colombian Hills all rolled into one. In the city, the country, the mountains or sea, wherever you are, baby, that's where I wanna be.
Steve sat there, a hand gripping Nahele's listening to the song swell. His own heart swelling with the music. This song was perfect, this song was them, and he loved each and every chord, each note.
And when it was done, and everyone was done clapping for her she asked: "Do you guys want another one?"
And they all cheered. So yes, yes, they very much did want another song.
"Right. Any requests?" she called up and then they were all shouting songs at her.
Steve was just sitting there smiling at her. He had never been more proud of his wife before. It was just another one of those time where he was reminded just how lucky he was to have her. He kept saying that he had to step up, had to be deserving of her, but he really, really had to do it now. After this, their next anniversary, he'd have to pull out all the stops.

Once the songs were done, Nahele and Grace were sent off to change into their old outfits and Rowan came up into the wings for small talk and to send everyone home.
She hugged everyone who came, Steve got his birthday gifts that he said he'd open the following day, and Rowan opened a portal to their kitchen where they all put the gifts on the table.
By the time Grace and Nahele were back, everyone else was gone. Conejo had been sent back to wherever he was working, which Steve was not allowed to know where, Adam and Kono had been sent their home, Grover had been sent to his. Jian and Wo were sent back to Japan, and Doris was sent back to her safe house with Yao.
The only one left was Danny who was waiting because he was still confused as to how his daughter had ended up coming with Nahele. He was also wondering what he was going to do and how he was going to explain this.
Steve was more concerned with Rowan, who had to be exhausted by now, so he was standing right beside her, hand on her arm, focusing on pulsing power into her so she wasn't too tired.
When the two teens came up there were walking, awfully close to one another something Steve hoped Danny didn't notice. He did not want Danny bitch at his kid, or about his kid. The second they saw their parents waiting for them, they stopped twittering away and approached them.
"Hey Gracie," Rowan said. "Not that I'm not happy you're here, but I'm a little surprised that Nahele brought you with him."
Grace definitely looked confused, Nahele just looked chastised. Which was fair because they were now in a position to explain how this had happened. And well, Steve and Rowan were getting tired on explaining this. Seriously this was the worst kept secret in the world.
"I know mom," he said.
"Right well, it's up to you to explain," she said. "If she needs clarification we can do it next weekend okay?"
"Okay mom," he said.
He watched her open up the door. He hugged them both good-bye, Grace hugged her dad and then hugged Steve and Rowan and then Rowan was ushering them through the door.
"We'll see you tomorrow, don't do anything I would do," she said. Nahele had Grace out first before going through himself. Once they were through Nahele found himself on the beach again.
"Wow that was so cool!" Grace said. "I know I've said it before, and I'm like her biggest fan, but seriously your mom is such a great singer."
"Yeah," Nahele said.
"And who would have thought that there was a hidden theater in that building," she said and Nahele winced.
"About that," he said. "Uhm…. I have something to tell you, but uh… it's kind of a family secret so if I tell you, you can't tell anyone else."
Grace paused and turned back to him. "Yeah, okay. You know you can trust me."
And he did trust her. His level of trust in Grace was about the same as his trust in his parents. Maybe even a little bit more, because it was a deep dark fear of his that they'd give him up, give him back.
A secret he had told Grace once in one of their late night talks. So yeah. He trusted her.
Nahele nodded and moved towards her. "There isn't a secret underground theater," he told her. "We were in Venice. They have a famous theater there. The Teatro de la Fenice. My mom performed there once, and she booked it again for my dad's birthday."
For a moment Grace just stared at him and then she started to laugh. "We can't have been in Venice, Nahele. We're in Hawaii."
"Okay. Yeah. You're right," he said. "We're in Hawaii now. But we weren't before. We were in Venice. And if you don't believe me go back to the door. It's a washroom now. Go on. Go check."
Grace stared at him. She didn't know if he was joking or not. It wasn't like him to play a joke like this so she had to believe that he was serious, but what he was saying was crazy.
"I'm serious Grace. Go check," he said pointing back to the door.
She stalked past him, right up to that door. Then she opened it. Just as he said it was a typical public washroom, complete with a flickering light. There definitely wasn't an entrance to a secret underground theater. She shut the door and opened it again.
Nope, still no theater.
She shut the door for good this time and turned back to Nahele and found him smiling at her shocked face.
"It's not a theater," she said.
"No, it's not."
She came towards him trying to rack her brain, trying to figure how it was possible that this was happening.
"How… how… but if not's then…"
"There's a whole long story to it," he said. "But the short of it is mom… Rowan… she's got magic powers."
And then he just stood there waiting, waiting for her reaction. But Grace didn't have one. She simply started laughing.
"Of course," she said. "Why am I surprised."
"Yeah, it's a whole thing. Basically, she can open portals to anywhere she's been. So uhm… that's it. She wanted to show my dad everything she did while she was away last year and uhm, as I said, that last one was the Teatro La Fenice. That's where we were."
Grace nodded. "That's so cool," she said and his smile widened. "And I promise I won't tell anyone."
"Oh great!" he said. "Uhm… would you like to go back… to the party now?" She nodded and he offered her a hand. He watched her go for her phone and he winced.
"Oh… I uh… I should have mentioned that her powers destroy electronics, so uhm… your phone is probably fried. I'll talk to my mom she should buy you a new one."
Grace sighed. Wow, yeah, her phone had been off this whole time, she had assumed it had been out of power but damn. Hopefully Will hadn't been looking for her.
Nahele offered her a hand and she took it right away, letting him lead her back to the party. If asked he'd say he offered because the sand was uneven and he didn't want her to fall.
Not knowing that she was thinking the exact same thing.
The whole reason she started dating Will was because he muted the emotions she had been cultivating for Nahele. But now… now they were coming back and she didn't know what she was going to do.
But for that moment, walking hand and hand through the sand, she didn't care.
H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O
After Nahele and Grace were sent home, Danny was next. Then it was their turn.
Rowan popped yet another portal and then they were home.
Steve had taken off his suit jacket and thrown it across the bed. He glanced over to Rowan and saw that was in the process of unpacked all of their souvenirs, was putting everything in it's proper places.
Leaving him only to put the towels away in the linen closet, except for Steve's wet towel which she hung up in the shower to dry.
Right, fine, he could help her with that.
Steve took the two art books, the five frames and the two canvases down first. The Art books went on the coffee table, the frames and canvases by the door, they could figure out where to hang them later once Rowan printed out the corresponding pictures. Though he'd probably hang the canvases tomorrow once they agreed on where they'd go.
It'd be silly to think they'd just agree on where to put them, but he didn't mind discussing décor arrangements in their house. Usually he let her slide on that, he kind of liked that his house was no longer a bachelor pad, that she had put her mark on parts of his house.
Like the pillows on the couch, or the details in the kitchen, or the vases she put on his dad's desk, and the pictures of their family.
He asked why she did that and she said it was so his dad could look at them, in case he ever wanted to sit in his desk. Not going to lie, that brought a tear to his eye, that she thought that his dad would be looking over them, sitting at that desk, and she thought to decorate it for him.
Just another reason in that ever growing list of reasons as to why he didn't deserve his wife.
When he came back up, Rowan was still reorganizing so he then took the Wayuu hammock and the three furin down to the couch so he could put them up tomorrow. It would be a fun thing to do tomorrow, Nahele had one, so they'd get his opinion on it.
That was his last trip downstairs. And he didn't care if she was done or not, if he was tired she had to be worse, they were going to bed. Simple. But when he got back upstairs, Rowan had put away the three sweaters. She had put everything for Nahele in his room to show him tomorrow. She had also added his new decorations to the room.
"Is everything okay where I put them?"
The Chiva bus was sitting on his dresser between her two sugar skull animals. The Ryukyu dolls were sitting on his bedside table beside the picture frame that had a picture of them and Nahele on their wedding day.
She had the Alice in Wonderland statue all on the dresser looking over her ring dish with her Hello Kitty and Totoro plush on the floor, clearly to put on the bed in the morning.
Also by the two stuffed animals was his Mochila bag, he didn't have to look inside it to know that she had put the hanko stamp in it.
"I figured you wanted to take those two to the office, maybe tomorrow we can pick a plant to put in it. Give it to your office some color."
Yes, he liked that idea. He was now looking forward to going plant shopping tomorrow. Did the fact that that excited him prove that he was getting old?
Yeah, he was too tired to figure that out. He was exhausted. Not too exhausted, of course, but he was definitely tired.
They had done a lot today and honestly, it was the best birthday ever. It definitely made up for last year's shit birthday without her. He didn't even celebrate, well other than that dinner with Liangs and Nahele, yeah they didn't really do much.
He crossed to her, his hands going to his hips and pulling her back to him. His head dipped, is lips finding her neck, and nibbling up to her sweet spots.
Already she was moaning and he was getting hot and bothered just by that alone. Seriously his wife could drive him wild without even trying.
She turned around in his grasp, her hands resting on his chest, slowly going about undoing the buttons of his white shirt.
"Did you have a good day Steven?"
"Of course I did baby," he whispered angling down to kiss her, except she ducked away.
"Do you have a favourite part?"
Steve straightened to think about it. As she undid the rest of his buttons and then stripped him of the shirt entirely.
"I liked the ROM and uh… California was nice…"
She was pressing kisses to his chest, starting from the center and working her way up until she was kissing his neck. He couldn't think about picking a favourite part when she was kissing him like that. Why was she asking him questions when she was going to be distracting like that?
Done with answering her questions, he took a hold of the back of her head, tilting it back and then kissing her fully.
She only let him kiss her a bit before she pushed him back and away. Seriously? He knew she said that sex wasn't his gift this year but he didn't think that it meant that he wouldn't be getting it at all.
"Are you ready for your last present?"
"We have to go somewhere else?" he asked almost dreading it. "But babe… I thought… haven't we done the whole year?"
The only places they hadn't gone were to Russia, any of her heist sites, and wherever her safe house was. But out of all of those places he figured she'd be taking him to the safe house.
It would be a nice gesture, trusting him with the location when it's hidden location was key to her and her brothers' newest Captain America Contingency Plan.
But Rowan shook her head. "No. Your present, from me."
"Babe… you bought me all my souvenirs," he reminded her as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She pressed her whole body against the length of his and his body reacted right away.
He already had his hands on her waist, but as soon as she pressed against him he was pressing into her, his mouth dipping into her neck.
"No, silly," she said, her own lips warming his ear. "I mean me."
Steve pulled away from her to look down to her. Did she mean what he thought she meant?
"Unless you're too tired."
And then she bit her lip at him. Tired? Too tired? For sex?
She was out of her damn mind.
His hands began to skim her, trying to feel out the best way to get to what was underneath.
The bodice was zippered so he undid that right away. "Steven," she said as he struggled to figure out how to get her out of it. "I designed this dress with one specific purpose."
"It's not a dress right now, it's a pantsuit that's all sewn together…"
"Yes, but just like the skirt, it's very easy to tear apart."
Steve paused just briefly as he let that sink in. He almost felt bad doing it, she had probably spent so much money on this outfit, but she did say that she designed it to be ripped.
It took one tug and the bodice came away from her, sleeves and all just coming apart. Two tugs had her out of her pants and then she was just standing there in lace pantie set he didn't recognize.
The thong was pink with black lace edging. The top was all black lace bralette that covered up her tattoo it was so long. It was sort of like a slutty baby doll.
But it was new.
And that meant she had lied to him.
She had bought him an outfit.
"I went for simple this time, is that okay?"
In what world would it not be okay?
Steve didn't even dignify her with an answer. He picked her up with easy and just tossed her, right onto their bed, and then he was on it too, crawling towards her and up her body. As he moved, he pressed kisses to whatever skin he could fine, and she tried to distract him by being careful with his buttons.
Fuck that shit.
He ripped the buttons away, went about pulling his white shirt off, and her hands went to his chest. She loved his pecks and shoulders and for a moment he just let her run her hands over his skin. But he was way too hot, way to impatient to let her pet him for long.
He crashed into her, lips first, kissing her with such intensity he was surprised he hadn't set them both on fire.
And his fingers wandered.
First under that bralette so her could pinch those dew bud nipples until they were in hardened peaks. She moaned and squeaked against his lips, but he didn't let go and he didn't stop kissing her.
Her own hands were trying to get into his pants but if she managed that he'd come undone and that was unacceptable. He needed to distract her.
So his own hand dipped. Beneath those silken pink panties and to the soaking wet warmth that was his and his alone.
Two fingers in right away, half a movement and his girl was pitching against him. Hips bucking, nails digging into his shoulder and lower back. A low cry he swallowed. He knew her. He knew every inch of her, he knew where to move, where to push. Within second she had cum against his hand.
He wasn't done with her yet though.
But she derailed him.
He thought her breathless and momentarily spent, but she had surprised him. Surprised him by sitting up, forcing him over and then pulling down those pants she had halfway undone.
See. This was a problem. Because birthday sex was supposed to be about him in control, because he liked being in control. This was not him in control but he was powerless to stop her.
The second her fingers wrapped around his shaft he was lost. Her touch always did that to him. But she barely had him in her hand before her mouth enclosed on him and suddenly all control, the desire to regain that control, left him.
And she wasn't playing nice either. No teasing or testing, just straight to business. And god was his wife's blowjobs amazing.
Hands fisting her hair she bobbed, taking all of him that she could into her mouth, he was holding on for dear life. That tongue, that sinful tongue of hers traced patterns around the tip until he was shaking and practically shouting for more. She sucked and swallowed and licked and it took all his willpower not to cum right then and there.
But he was not going to do that. He had self control, and yes Rowan shattered that self control on a daily basis, but this was his birthday goddamn it, and he would decide when he'd cum. And when she'd cum.
He pulled her up by the hair, and she yelped his name.
Fuck. Unintentional.
He pulled her to him, not by the hair this time, and slowly lowered her back down to the bed. As he pillowed her, and came to hover on top of her, he apologized to her in soft kisses, until she was comfortable and murmuring against him. Only then did he pull out the handcuffs.
Most couples had a safe word.
Rowan had magic powers.
The deal was she'd keep her hands cuffed until either he said so, or she couldn't take it anymore. If it was him in the cuffs, they had a safe word. He had not been cuffs since her birthday. Wasn't that big of a fan of it and she knew that. But he never turned her down when she wanted to.
And she never turned him down either.
"Really? You wanna cuff me after you yanked on my hair like that?"
Steve paused. He did. He really did.
"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I didn't mean… I just got… I thought…"
"A couple of kisses aren't going to make up for that."
"Oh, I plan to more than make up for it," he whispered before kissing her again.
If she said no, he'd ditch the cuffs without complaint but there was something exciting about having his wife captive beneath him. Not to mention to have her hands off of him meant he'd be in better control of his own reactions.
While they were kissing, Rowan raised her hands and he smiled into it as he carefully and gently cuffed her to the headboard.
As soon as she was secured he left her, sliding down that mostly bare body of hers until he was between her legs.
He pulled those panties free of her, and then pushed those legs apart so he could gaze upon his domain. She whimpered his name, no doubt needing more than just cold air against her and he obliged her by licking her. One strong all-encompassing lick from bottom to top. And for a long while that's all he did.
Until she was writhing and moaning and begging him for more.
Only then did he focus on her, only then did he deepen his intentions.
As soon as his tongue was in her she went from moaning and whimpering to full out cries of pleasure. Her hips had started to buck so he had to hold on tight to keep her still, but even when he had her in his grasp she had started to wriggle.
But he wasn't done with her yet and though she kept begging for more, for him, he wasn't going to oblige her until he was ready.
He hooked an arm around her waist to hold her still and let go over her with his other hand so he could slip two of his fingers back into her and turn his attention to the tip of her. Her got that bud into his mouth, put the tip of his tongue to her and she practically screamed his name.
It took only a few seconds of attention on it, of his fingers twitching inside of her, for her to shudder into a climax.
That was her second climax, and it wasn't going to be her last either.
Now. Now Steve was ready.
He climbed back up her body. His wife was whimpering for him, begging for him and that was exactly where he wanted her.
With one sure thrust he was in her. For a moment he was still just relishing in the feel of her, how he always found peace and solace in being this close to her. Like they were one, had always been one, and always would be one.
And while he liked that feeling, he knew what he liked as much if not more. He slowly withdrew only to plunge into her as deep as he could. Her back arched. And he did it again. That time he got a cry of his name. Wonderful.
He continued those slow agonizingly deep thrusts, watching her face as the pleasure and the desire and the desperate need for something harder and faster washed over her. Each new expression hit him, filled him with the same kind of wonder he had felt as he took in each new master piece at the art galleries he had visited with her today.
She was his own personal masterpiece.
He was almost to the point of no return. He was about to slip out of the control he had. He wanted to give her all she wanted but first, first she needed to climax.
So when she did, when her back arched and her mouth fell open in that mindless climax, he was ready. Ready to kick it up a notch.
He let her catch her breath, only for a moment and then he was powering through to reach his own. Harder, faster, deeper, just like she wanted. Just like he wanted.
He lost himself with in the rhythm, in her legs wrapped around his waist in the wet warmth of her. His head buried into her neck, his mouth latching on to any bit of skin he could find and leaving a million branding marks. Her own teeth were sunk into his shoulder and he didn't even care if she was ripping him up.
There wasn't a single bit space between them, he was living on friction and her wondrous sounds.
There was an electric pulse that he felt stinging through him and then her hands were free. Her hands came free, and she lurched up, pushing him back and onto his knees again as she practically mounted him. She had her arms hooked around his neck and her mouth on his right away. It took nothing to reposition her onto his lap, her legs wrapped around his waist without a second of hesitation and then he was thrusting up and she writhed against him.
They were together again, that friction setting them both off as their tongues dueled. This continued until the fire of desire took full control of him.
The plan was gone now, completely forgotten, he was lost to it all.
They dropped back to the bed, still together, joined in every way. His mouth left hers and latched onto her neck, while her teeth sunk into shoulder. Her legs still around him, he pounded into her, harder faster, deeper just like she wanted from him.
Her teeth sunk in deeper, but as her own climax overtook her, her back arched, her head went back as a scream of his name left her. His own climax ripped through him, but came out in this rough cry of her name.
With him spent the both collapsed. She back into the pillows and him into her.
Normally he'd roll off of her but this time he didn't. Only because she was holding him, softly running her hands up and down his back and he wanted nothing more than to stay that way with her forever.
For those brief moments they were the same person, with the same heartbeat, same body. Even their breathing matched.
His wife had managed to deliver him the perfect day and he was just in awe of her. In how much she knew and cared for him, in how much she'd do for him, and in how much she so clearly loved him. And how much he so very much loved her.
This all encompassing, soul branding love for her, for their life together, for… everything that came with her.
"So, do you have a new favourite part?" she asked.
Steve propped himself up to look down at her for a moment, and to take his bulk off of her before he smothered her.
"No," he whispered. "The sex is always great, and it sure as hell was a highlight, but I'd still my favourite part was Cali."
"Yeah?"
"Only because… when I was out there, I could clearly see you on the beach. I had everything I'd ever need in life. A beach, the sea and you."
"And me," she whispered, almost sleepily as she pressed a kiss to the edges of his lips. It hadn't occurred to him but she had used her powers a lot today, she must have been exhausted.
How had he not noticed that before?
He got himself off of her properly and then pulled her sweaty form to his side.
"And you," he repeated and a sleepy smile stretched over her lips and against his skin. "Most importantly you."
And it was true. He could live without the beaches, the sea, the sky, or nature even. But he'd never be able to live without Rowan.
And he meant it. He loved her. All of her. Everything about her. He loved his life with her, he loved his new family, even if it included Wo Fat.
And from now on she was never going to doubt that again.
