Later that evening, in another part of Brisbane, Mackenzie and his parents were relaxing at home when a news report flashed across the TV screen. The headline read: "Truck Driver Arrested on Riverside Expressway: Heavy Vehicle Causes Chaos." The camera zoomed in on the scene, showing police surrounding the DAF XF semi-truck and arresting the driver, an Indonesian Kintamani man. As the news anchor explained how the truck, had illegally entered the expressway and was involved in a high-speed chase before being stopped by the police.
Mackenzie's eyes widened as he recognized the location. "Hey, Mum, Dad! That's the Riverside Expressway! Isn't that the expressway we drive on sometimes?" he asked, pointing at the screen.
His parents exchanged concerned glances. "It sure is," Mackenzie's dad said, his voice tinged with worry. "That truck shouldn't have been on that road. It's a good thing the police were able to stop him before anything worse happened."
Mackenzie's mum nodded. "It's scary to think about, but I'm glad the police did their job. They arrested that driver before he could cause more trouble."
Mackenzie, still watching the screen, noticed how serious the situation had been. "I hope everything are okay," he said, a hint of concern in his voice.
Just then, Mackenzie's dad's phone rang. He picked it up and saw Bandit's name on the screen. "It's Bandit," he said before answering and put the phone loudspeaker. "Hey, Bandit! Everything okay?"
To his surprise, it was Chilli on the other end. "Hi, sorry for calling on Bandit's phone," Chilli began. "I just wanted to let you know that we're all safe. It was a bit of a crazy day, and I thought you might have seen the news."
Mackenzie's parents exchanged relieved looks. "We did see the news about that truck on the expressway. Crazy stuff!" Mackenzie's dad said. "It's good to hear you're all okay. That must have been quite the ordeal."
Chilli recounted the story of how they had encountered the truck on the expressway, how she had helped the police, and how they managed to avoid the danger. "It was a bit scary, but I'm just glad the police were able to handle it," she finished.
Mackenzie's mum was impressed. "Chilli, that's amazing. You really helped out in a tough situation. The police must have appreciated your quick thinking. It's not every day you get to be a hero like that."
Mackenzie's dad chimed in, "Yeah, great job, Chilli. You did something really important today."
After thanking them, Chilli ended the call, feeling touched by their appreciation.
Mackenzie's parents couldn't stop talking about how proud they were of Chilli's quick thinking and bravery. Mackenzie listened intently, feeling a newfound admiration for Bluey's mum.
Meanwhile, across town, Honey was sitting with her parents, Daisy and Marcus, when the same news story appeared on their TV. Honey watched in shock as the news anchor described the dangerous chase and the arrest of the truck driver. "Mum, Dad, look! That's the expressway!"
Daisy nodded, her eyes glued to the TV. "That's quite awful," Daisy said, shaking her head. "That poor driver, getting caught up in something so serious. That truck driver must have been completely lost"
Marcus agreed. "But the police did what they had to do. You can't have a truck like that on the expressway. It could've been a disaster."
Honey, feeling worried, decided to call Bluey's mum to check on them. She grabbed the phone and dialed Chilli's number. When Chilli answered, Honey asked, "Are you okay, Bluey's mum?"
Chilli smiled at the nickname. "We're all fine, Honey. It was a bit of a crazy day, but everything turned out okay. I ended up helping the police stop that truck. They're were able to stop the truck, and we're just glad no one was hurt."
Honey sighed in relief. "I'm glad you're all safe. That must have been scary, but you were so brave to help the police. You're amazing, Bluey's mum!"
"You're like a real-life superhero." she added.
Chilli laughed softly. "Oh, I don't know about that, Honey, but thank you. I'm just glad everyone's safe. It was just one of those days, I suppose."
After the call, Honey couldn't stop thinking about how cool it was that Bluey's mum had been part of such an important moment. She told her parents all about it, and they too were impressed with Chilli's bravery.
"Bluey's mum helped the police! Isn't that awesome?" Honey asked her mum.
"It is, sweetie. Chilli's quite something." Daisy replied.
As the night went on, both Mackenzie's and Honey's families couldn't help but feel a deep sense of respect and appreciation for Chilli, whose quick thinking and bravery had made a difference in a dangerous situation. And though it had been an unusual day, it was one they would all remember, with a new story to tell about Bluey's incredible mum.
That same night, as the Heeler family settled in after their eventful day, they knew that their friends and loved ones were there for them, ready to support them no matter what unexpected adventures came their way.
