Chapter 6: First Impressions

It was morning and Christa woke up. But something wasn't right though. She wasn't in Luz's room nor was she in the Owl House. She was in a bedroom. A fancy looking one. She was in large bed with bed curtains. The room she was in had a book shelf of many different story books, a doll house and the ceiling had a night sky with stars on it. She looked around in confusion.

Christa: Where am I? Luz? King?

She got off the bed and left the room. She went through the halls and soon came across a large room with stairs going down, like the lobby of a mansion. There was a chandelier, potted plants and paths to other rooms. As she went down the stairs, she turned around and saw a giant portriat, but there was nothing on it. It was blank.

Christa: Odd.

Then she heard humming noises. Someone was humming. She followed the sound through downstairs and one of the paths to another room and soon found a library. There was a fireplace that was lit and a few chairs. She found the person humming, it was a woman about Eda and Lilith's height. She turned to Christa. She was was wearing a violet pants gown dress, black slippers as well as violet gloves and had a necklace of pearls. Like Christa she had long fire red hair, green eyes and an emerald on her forehead. She looked at Christa and smiled.

Christa: M-Mom? Mom!

Christa ran over to who she believes is her mother and hugged her.

Christa: Oh mom, I searched all over for you. I knew I'd find you soon.

But then the woman frowned and fire in the fireplace went out. Christa heard creeking sounds as the floor started to collapse into a dark abyss. Everything in the room was being sucked down to the bottom. Christa and the woman were still standing still holding onto each other.

Christa: What's happening? Mom what's going on?

But then the woman pushed Christa off of her. Christa was caught off guard and all she could do was just look at the woman who had a neutral and unexpressive look staring down at her. Christa kept falling into the abyss, then the area turned red and there was fire all over as she was falling through debris of a burning town. She could hear screams of agony coming from it, until finally she landed. She opened her eyes and saw the woman standing in front of her. She looked where she landed and to her surprise it was the pod she was in.

Christa: ( gasps) No, no mom!

But then the pod closed shut on her.

Christa: Mom, mom! Let me out! Let me out, please! I don't like it in here!

Christa banged at the glass dome part of the pod, screaming and begging for her mother to let her out, but she did nothing still standing there with a frown. But then a red gastly aura was forming around the room, engulfing her mother and it got inside the pod, now engulging Christa.

Christa: No mom! Mom! Please, let me out! Don't go! Please! COME BACK PLEASE! DON'T LEAVE ME!

Luz: Christa! Christa! Wake up!

Christa opened her eyes and sat up, breathing heavily. Luz was right next to her and she looked around the area. She was in Luz's room, it was all a nightmare.

Luz: Christa are you okay? You were screaming in your sleep?

Christa shook as she began to tear up. She grabbed Luz and hugged her. Luz didn't hesitate and immediatly hugged her and rubbed her back, trying to calm her down. She could hear Christa's cries muffled into her shoulder.

Luz: Shhhh. It's okay. You're okay. I'm here.

King: ( yawn) What is going on? Are you okay?

Luz: Christa had a nightmare. But I got this, back to sleep King.

King: ( yawn) Will do.

King fell back asleep as Christa finally let go. Luz got some tissues and wiped the tears of Christa's eyes.

Luz: Christa are you okay, what happened?

Christa: I...( sniffs) I just had a bad dream, that's all.

Luz: It must have been a very scary one to make you scream like that.

Christa: Did I really scream in my sleep?

Luz: Yeah, I got startled and saw you screaming. You had tears in your eyes. Do you want to talk about it?

Christa: Well. I dreamt that I was in a different house and I heard humming from someone. There was this woman. I think... I think it was my mother.

Luz: You're mother really?

Christa: Yeah.

Luz: What did she look like?

Christa: She kinda looked like me and was beautiful, but sad. Next thing she pushed into the pod I was in. I begged her to let me out but she wouldn't.

Luz: Oh...that must have scary.

Christa: It was. Luz do you think, I'm remembering who my mom is?

Luz: It's possible.

Christa: But if that's so, then did she really put me in the pod? Was I reliving a memory?

Luz: Maybe, but dreams can be a little, I guess I would say delusional or hazy. Maybe part of it is a memory.

Christa: If it is, why did she put me in the pod?

Luz: I wish I knew the answer. But we'll find her someday and we'll get the answers from her.

Christa: Alright, I'm sorry that I woke you up.

Luz: Aw don't be. I'm here for you, hermana.

Christa looked at her confused.

Luz: It means sister.

Christa: Sister?

Luz: Sorry is it okay? It's just, I always wanted a sister. I'm an only child and it kinda gets lonely you know and...

Christa: No, no it's fine. I'd love to be your sister Luz.

Christa gave Luz another hug, this one being more soft. Luz hugged her back.

Christa: Thanks for comforting me Luz.

Luz: You're welcome. Try and go back to sleep. I have plans for us tomorrow.

Christa laid down again as Luz tucked her in and she went back to sleep. Christa smiled at Luz, happy to know she has a loving friend like her. She closed her eyes and tried to sleep again, hoping not to have that dream again.

The next morning.

Eda was heading to the couch, holding a mug of apple blood.

Eda: Ah, nothing but a nice cup of apple blood to start the day.

Eda was about to take a sip, until Hooty open the door so suddenly.

Hooty: Ding dong ding! Hoot! Hoot!

Eda was startled by his entrance, making her splash the apple blood all over her face and clothes. She now looked unhappy.

Eda: Hooty, you better give me a good reason why I shouldn't bake you into a pie.

Hooty: Because we got company!

Eda went to the door and standing there were Willow and Guz.

Willow and Gus: Hello Eda.

Eda: Oh if it isn't Luz's friends, Willow and Goops.

Gus: It's Gus.

Eda: That's what I said. ( calling out) Luz your friends are here!

Luz ran down and saw them and smiled.

Luz: Guys you're here!

Luz ran up to hug the two.

Gus: Told you we'd come by the end of the week.

Eda: Well you kids have fun. I'm gonna go change and get another cup of apple blood, thank you very much Hooty.

Hooty: You're welcome! Hoot! Hoot!

Eda leaves, passing by Christa who peeked out from the halls and got a glimpse of Luz's friends. They looked nice, but she was too scared to meet them.

Willow: So you ready to start the day?

Luz: Almost, first I have someone I want you to meet first.

Willow: Oh right, this friend you just met right?

Luz: Uh huh, hold on.

Luz went back to the hall entrance to get Christa.

Luz: Come on my friends are here.

Christa: I don't know. What if they don't like me?

Luz: Don't be scared, they want to meet you. Come on.

Luz took her hand and lead her to Willow and Gus.

Luz: Guys, this my new friend Christa. Christa this is Willow and Gus, my friends from school.

Christa: Hello, it's nice to meet you Willow and Gus my friends from school. I mean just Willow and Gus!

Christa gave a nervous chuckle for that slip up, but everyone just gave a friendly laugh.

Willow: It's alright. It's nice to meet you Christa. Luz told us about you.

Christa: Really?

Gus: Yeah, she found you trapped in a pod. Is that true?

Christa: ( nods) Yeah.

Christa motioned to the damaged pod in the room as Willow and Gus took a closer look at it.

Gus: Whoa look at this thing. Looks high tech.

Willow: Why were you in this?

Christa: I wish I knew.

Gus: So it's also true that you lost your memory.

Christa: ( frowning) Yeah, Christa's not even my real name. Just something poeple can call me and I don't know where I'm from.

Gus saw the frown on Christa's face.

Gus: Oh wait, I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you. Ah, I've only been here five minutes and already I mess up.

Christa: Oh no, no it's okay. I mean it sucks not remembering but, Luz has been very nice to me and has been making me feel comfortable.

Willow: I do hope you find your home soon.

Christa: Thanks me too.

Willow: Oh and before I forget. I really love that emerald on your forehead. It really suits you.

Christa: Oh thanks. Though I think it's part of my body.

Gus: Does it itch?

Christa: Not really.

Luz: Hey Willow, maybe you can help Christa with some magic. She barely found out she can do plant magic.

Willow: You can do plant magic.

Christa: Well yeah. I mean I can also do fire, light and ice but I haven't figured out how to do plant yet.

Willow: Well plant magic is what I'm best at. Let's head outside.

Outside.

Willow: Okay, lets try something simple.

Willow gives Christa a seed.

Willow: Take this seed and plant it on the ground

Willow had her own seed and planted it on the ground. Christa did the same.

Willow: Okay now we want to make it grow. Watch what I do.

Willow formed a spell circle over the spot of the planted seed. Green particles showered down to it and in seconds a flower grew.

Christa: Wow. Willow that was so cool.

Willow: Thanks now you try.

Christa: Okay, here we go.

Christa tried , she tried once but didn't get the spell circle stabalized and disappear.

Luz: Remember stay focused.

Gus: Just don't rush it.

Christa tried again, she was able to get it right. The spell circle was formed and green partilces showered on the spot of her seed and grew in flower grew.

Christa: I did it!

Luz: Way to go Christa!

Gus: Yeah you're the man! I mean girl. I mean you know what I mean.

Willow: That was really good. Now let's try something else.

Willow and Christa stood five feet away of a tree.

Willow: Okay, now lets try and form a vine to grab that branch up on top.

Willow formed a spell circle and a vine shot up to the branch and tied up to it as Willow swung around the tree.

Willow: Alright now your turn.

Christa tried it next. She formed the vine as it shot up the tree branch and tieing as Christa swung around the tree next.

Christa: Willow, I did it! Wooo...

But as then she ended crashing into the tree.

Luz, Willow and Guz: OOOOOH!

Christa fell off the vine and onto the floor covering her face.

Gus: That's gotta hurt.

Luz: Oh my gosh Christa!

Willow: Are you alright?

Christa: Ow...my face.

Luz: Let me see.

Christa uncovers her face and had a small nose bleed.

Luz: Ooh, you're nose is bleeding.

Christa: I'm bleeding?

Willow: It's just a nose bleed. It happens.

Luz: Let's stop for now, let's take you inside and clean you up.

10 minutes later.

They went back outside, now Christa face was cleaned up.

Willow: You okay now Christa?

Christa: Yeah, that was my bad really. I'm sorta of a cluts.

Luz: Well it was your first time.

Willow: You did pretty good though. You just gotta keep practicing and we'll come by now and then to teach you more.

Christa: Thanks Willow. Really appreciate it.

Gus: I can tell your a fast learner.

Christa: Thank you. Gus I didn't ask but what do you do?

Gus decided to show her instead of tell. He formed a spell circle and made duplicate of himself.

Christa: ( gasps) Gus you just made another you.

Gus: That is the power of illusions. Also look at this.

Gus alters his appearence and makes himself to look like Christa. Christa gasped as she examined Gus looking like her.

Christa: Whoa. It's just like looking a mirror

Gus: How do I look.

Christa: I...well you look great, but is my forehead really that big?

Gus: What no, I mean, maybe I rushed it. But no it's not that big.

Gus turned back to normal

Christa: Gus that is so cool.

Gus: You really think it's cool?

Christa: Yeah, I mean with illusion you can make duplicates of yourself or disguise yourself right.

Gus: Well yeah, though there are a lot people who think the illusion magic is the weakest.

Christa: Why is that?

Gus: It's because it lacks physical abilities and they're not wrong, but I wouldn't go to say it's weak or useless.

Gus frowned a bit. Christa approached him and placed her hands on his shoulders.

Christa: Well if you ask me, I don't think your powers are useless.

Gus: ( smiles) Thanks.

Luz: Hey guys, shall we head out soon.

Christa: Where are we going?

Luz: We were gonna go shopping in Bonesborough today. Really wanted to do this so you can get to know my friends.

Willow: Well we're ready when you are.

Luz: Let me just get a couple things quickly and...

Luz was about to run to the house, but the moment she did she bumped into someone. It was Amity.

Luz: Amity! Oh sorry I didn't see you there.

Amity: It's okay, I should have said something first.

Luz: So you actually came.

Amity: Yeah, appearntly the presentation was moved to another day so I was able to get the time off today. I spent the morning baking you this fairy pie.

Luz: ( gasps) Aw Amity that so sweet. That looks...

But the moment Luz saw the fairy pie, she was a bit disgusted and horrified seeing limbs of fairys sticking, still moving and could hear their screams.

Luz: So...good...

Amity: I made it with love. ( blushing) I mean with heart! I mean with friendship! I mean with ingredients. Yup ingredients which are faireis, that's why it's called fairy pie. Hahaha! I'm doing it again aren't I?

Amity's face was turning red and looked away.

Luz: I like it, I'll definitly have some later. Oh Christa come here.

Christa came closer to Luz and Amity. Luz placed her hand over Amity's shoulder as she introduced her making her blush.

Luz: Christa this is Amity, my best friend from school.

Amity: ( blushing) Yup best friend. I'm her bestie. Hahaha!

Amity tried to regain composure before continuing.

Amity: Anyway, so you're Christa. Luz's new friend.

Christa: That's me. It's nice to meet you Amity. Luz told me a lot about you.

Amity: ( blushes) R-Really. Like, uh like what?

Christa: Oh how, you're like the coolest witch she knows next to Eda, how smart you are, mature and pretty...

Luz: ( blushing) Pretty awesome! Haha yup! Anyway this great, the five of us together. This is gonna be a great outing.

Later.

The five of them were making their way through the markets of Bonesborough.

Luz: Jeez it's packed today.

Willow: That's how it is on a Sunday.

Amity stood near Luz. She was trying to think of what to say to her or if she wanted to do something. She looked nervous, but took a deep breath.

Amity: Hey Luz, you wanna...

Christa: Luz, look at that. There's a Build a Demon workshop!

Luz: ( gasps) I think King would love a new doll for his collection. Come on Amity.

The four of them ran to the store as Amity slowly caught up.

Amity: Um right, coming.

We begin a montage of the group going through many different stores and stands. They stopped by a stand with jewelry. Amity saw a necklace thinking it would look nice on Luz, she turned to ask her, but she saw she was too busy looking at Christa wearing a whole bunch of jewlery and showing off.

Next they stopped by a clothing store. Each of them were emerging out a dressing room, wearing stylish clothes. Amity was looking for something amazing. Something that would really make Luz notice her. She thinks she found something, but before it was her turn it was Christa's and when she came out she got everyone's attention as Luz, Willow and Gus applaud. She was dressed up like a celebrity and Luz even whistled at her. This made Amity frown and closing the dressing room door.

Then they were at a petting zoo with mythical creatures. Willow was feeding a jackalope and Gus was petting baby griffin. Amity was with a pheonix bird that stood on her arm. She was about to show Luz until Christa caught her attention with something else that made Luz eyes sparkle and gasp, it was a baby Unicorn. Luz always wanted to see one and this was it as she fed it and petted the creature. Amity again frowned as the pheonix tugged onto the ponytail of her hair thinking it was food.

Then they all got into a photo booth as the five of them squeezed in there. As the pictures we being taken it mainly got Luz, Christa, Gus and Willow while Amity was stuck in the back, barely seen.

Later.

The five of them were walking through the main shopping center still.

Luz: Man today has been fun.

Christa: I know, I mean I can't believe I haven't done this yet.

Amity was behind them but looked sad and a bit jealous.

Amity: ( in her mind) Luz has been hanging out a lot with Christa today. You don't think...no, no don't be that way Amity. Christa is just a new friend of Luz and is just excited to be with her. But she hasn't done much with me today. What if Luz likes her more and it doesn't help they live together. You don't think they share a bed...no stop it Amity! You're just overthinking it. Luz still thinks your cool and you still have a chance. Right?

Willow: So what do we do next?

Christa: You guys want to get something to eat. I'm starving.

But then Christa bumped into someone, it was Boscha.

Boscha: Hey watch it!

Christa: Oh sorry.

Boscha: Who do you think you are bumping into me?

Willow: ( glaring) Boscha.

Boscha: Well, well if it isn't half a witch Willow. The human Luz-er, Goops and...

When Boscha saw Amity, she glared at her.

Boscha: Amity. How's that leg of yours? You gonna break the other one to be top student again?

Amity: I'm really not in the mood Boscha.

Boscha: Neither am I. I was minding my own buisness until your clumsy friend bumped into me.

Boshca turned to Christa who was still standing in front of her.

Boscha: What are you staring at me for? You're in my space!

Luz: Hey leave her alone Boscha!

Willow: Yeah back off!

Boscha: Pffft, whatever. I have a date tonight and I just got my hair done. Later losers.

Boscha walked away, Christa just watched her leave, feeling upset.

Willow: Sorry about that, but don't listen to her.

Luz: Yeah she's a jerk, but the best thing is to walk away.

But Christa wasn't having it and balled her fists up as the emerald on her forhead began to glow as well as her eyes.

Boscha stood next to a fountain and took out a coin.

Boscha: Let's see what do I wish for. Oh yes, I wish to be the best grudgby player ever.

Boscha tossed her coin in the fountain, but he moment she did the water erupted and splashed her soaking wet.

Boscha: ( cough) What?! AAAAH MY HAIR!

Luz: Oh geez, quick run!

Boscha: Hey come back here! I know you had something to do with this!

The five of them ran away. They managed to get away from Boscha and hid behind a building.

Gus: Holy crud, what the heck was that?

Luz: I don't know. Christa?

Everyone looked at her.

Christa: I'm sorry I don't know what happened. She just ticked me off so bad, called all of us names and just left like she owns us. I couldn't stand it!

Willow: Christa it's cool. Honestly, that was pretty sweet.

Gus: I know, did you get a look at her face when she got soaked?

Luz: Christa your power right there, you just manipulated water. Wait does this mean their exists water magic?

Christa: I don't know.

Luz: Wait whats that on your hand?

Christa took out her hand and saw a glyph symbol that Luz has not seen yet. Luz quickly got out a piece of paper and placed it over her hand, now adding the water glyph. She she got another piece of paper and drew that symbol on it. She placed the palm of her hand on it and it turned into a water ball. Everyone looked at it amazed.

Luz: No way. A new glyph? Christa you not only found a new power but you helped me find a new glyph!

Christa: So I did okay?

Luz: Okay? You did great.

Luz pulled Christa into a hug making Amity frown and feel more jealous

Luz: Christa your the coolest witch ever!

The last line really hit Amity. She just hugged Christa and called her cool. Cooler than her? She's not hoping what she thinks but it most likely is. Luz might actually like Christa more than her.

Later

The five of them were together eating. Each of them had their own meal from a different stand and sat together to end their day.

Luz: Wow guys, today was great.

Christa: I know. We should really do this again sometime.

Willow: I can't believe you don't go to Hexside Christa.

Gus: I know, can't we get her enrolled?

Luz: I want to, but I don't if we can. What if she goes to school somewhere else and we need proper information for her to get enrolled. Christa isn't even her actual name. Not to mention we can't even get her parents or any guardian to get her enrolled.

Gus: Eda's not exactly your legal guardian either.

Luz: She's the only guardian I have here.

Christa: It's okay, as long as we can hang out once in a while I'm fine with it. I don't think it would be good to sneek in, is it true Luz got banned from the school once?

Willow: Oh yeah, it was crazy. It was actually the first day we met her and she pretened to be my abomination back when I was in the abomination track. She was pretty convincing until she got caught when Amity was onto us.

Gus: I know, Amity remember? You almost got Principle Bump to dissect her?

Amity: ( looked away) Yeah, I rather not bring that up.

Luz: Oh don't worry Amity, those were different times.

Amity was done eating and sat up.

Amity: Well it's been fun, but I need to go.

Luz: Aw already Amity?

Amity: Yeah, mom is gonna be at me if I'm home late. But I'll see you guys tomorrow for school.

Luz: Okay, see you Amity.

Amity waved at them and walked away.

Christa: Oh wait I forgot. Amity wait!

Christa ran up to Amity and called for her. Amity didn't look back, she just kept walking but listened.

Amity: What Christa?

Christa: I know we haven't talked much today. Just didn't get the chance but Luz has been showing me her Azura book and I've been really getting into it.

Amity: That's uh...that's nice.

Christa: Yeah and she told me your just a fan as her and you have all the books, maybe you can show me.

Amity: I'm sorry but I can't. I have a tight schedule.

Christa: Oh well, whenever you have the time can we hang out. I'd like to read them with you.

Amity snaps and turns to her.

Amity: IF YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT IT, WHY DON'T HAVE LUZ DO IT FOR YOU? I'M SURE SHE'D LOVE TO! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!

Amity's voice echoed as she breathed heavily. But then she stopped and realized what she did when she saw the hurt and sad look on Christa's face. She could see tears forming in her eyes. Amity frowned knowing she messed up.

Amity: Christa I...

Christa was tearing up and her voice started to crack.

Christa: I...I get it. If you didn't want to be my friend you could have just said so. I'm sor...sorry I made things bad for you.

Christa ran away, running pass Luz.

Luz: Christa what happened? Christa wait!

Luz got up to chase her. She stopped for a moment and looked at Amity. Amity stood there thinking what Luz was looking at her for. Did she notice what Amity said to her? Did that mean she'd never want to hang with her anymore.

Luz wanted to know what happened with Amity, but she felt Christa needed her more and ran to her as Willow and Gus followed her.

Once they were gone Amity turned around and head home, but was facing down and covered her mouth.

Amity: What have I done?

The next day.

It was another day at Hexside. Students were making their way inside. Willow was heading to her locker to get her books, once she did she saw Luz coming towards.

Willow: Luz hi.

Luz: Hey Willow. Have you seen Amity around?

Willow: Not yet I haven't?

Luz: I really need to talk to her about what happened with her yesterday. Christa told me she lashed out on her.

Willow: Well, I mean Amity is a bit hard to be friends with.

Luz: But she's not like that anymore. I wonder what made her act up against Christa. We were with them all day, I don't recall any tension building up,did you?

Willow: No. How is Christa right now?

Luz: Well she's a bit shooken up and is really upset. She kept telling me she messed up somehow and knew she was going to. I tried to ease her down, but she kept crying.

Willow: I feel bad for her.

Luz: Well I want the two to talk it over, hopefully after school. If you see her let me know okay.

Willow: Sure thing.

Luz left as did Willow. Little did they know Amity was listening from a corner. She kept her hood on to stay hidden. She just felt bad of what she did and too ashamed to see Luz right now. Throughout school, she stayed hidden and tried to avoid contact with Luz, Willow and Gus. Though she knew she coulnd't hide forever, she knew it was wrong to runaway but is too scared to think of what will happen. What if this ends her friendship with Luz. She felt like she just became friends with her. But it also occured to her this wasn't about her, it was about Christa. She just wanted to be her friend, but acted so cold to her. She was turning back into the bully she once was.

7 hours later.

School was over as everyone left. Amity was near the exit and went out first and hid on the side of the stairs. She could hear Luz and Willow talking heading out.

Luz: Can't believe Amity is not here today. I really wanted to see her.

Willow: I'm sure she'll be back tomorrow.

Luz: Yeah, I'll talk to her then. Well I gotta head back and check up with Christa. See you tomorrow Willow.

Willow: Bye Luz.

Luz left but Willow still stood there.

Willow: I know you're there, Amity.

Amity's eyes widened when Willow knew she was hiding, but showed herself anyway.

Amity: Willow, hey.

Willow approached Amity. She looked away looking nervous.

Willow: Were you hiding from us the whole day?

Amity: No...okay yes I was.

Willow: Why? Luz has been looking for you.

Amity: I just... I just wasn't ready to see her yet. I feel so horrible for what I did.

Willow: What happened with you and Christa. Why did you yell at her.

Amity: I don't know, I just, I just...

Willow: Is it because you felt jealous that Luz was liking Christa more? And I mean like like.

Amity's face turned red.

Amity: How do you...

Willow: It's so obvious you love Luz. You really showed it when you asked for my help for grudgby.

Amity: Oh right. Willow, I didn't mean to hide all day and I didn't mean to hurt Christa. I really feel horrible for what I did to her. Whether or not Christa loves Luz like I do, she just wanted to be my friend and I just pushed her away. This is old me all over again of how I treated you and Luz. I just made amends with you and I'm still trying to make up for what I did. I just became closer to Luz and she still wanted to be friends with me after I almost got her disected. I thought I've changed but I haven't.

Amity grabbed her hair in frustration, pulling it trying to rip it out and teared up a little.

Amity; Argh! What's wrong with me?!

Willow grabbed Amity's arms to get her to let go of her hair.

Willow: Amity easy! Relax. If I remember correctly you broke ties with me because your parents threatned to get me expelled. You did it to protect me.

Amity: But there was no excuse for me to treat you bad. I could have just not talked to you, I didn't have to be mean. Everyday I acted like a cool girl, training to be number one and please my parents, but everyday I regret what I did and wished to friends with you again.

Willow: We are now. I mean yeah I didn't appreciate how you were acting with me for a while, but you showed you're sorry and I'm glad we're friends again. Luz will forgive you if you talk to Christa. Don't make the same mistake again. Just go talk to her.

Amity wiped the tears in her eyes and formed a determined look.

Amity: You're right. I'm going to apologize to Christa and make things right with her.

Willow: Now you're talking.

Amity was about to leave but before she did she turned back to Willow and hugged her. Willow was taken by surprised. Amity hasn't hugged her in years, not since they were little.

Amity: Thanks Willow. You really are a great friend.

Willow hugged her back.

Willow: You're welcome Amity.

Amity: Oh and just don't tell Luz how I feel about her. I want to tell her myself.

Willow: Don't worry your secret is safe with me.

They broke the hug as Amity ran to the Owl House.

Later.

Amity was getting close to the Owl House. This was it, she was going to apologize to Christa. Hopefully it'll go smooth. She went up the door but then looked annoyed the moment she saw Hooty.

Amity: Oh no, not this thing again.

Hooty: Lalalala! Hoot, hoot...AAAAAHH!

Hooty got scared seeing Amity and stretched his neck away from her.

Hooty: You're that scary girl that beat me up!

Amity: Yeah I'm her. Look I'm not hear to beat you up again, but I need to see Christa.

Hooty: Oh okay, mmmmm. Sorry can't let you do that.

Amity: What, why?

Hooty: CC told me what you did. You hurt her feelings. She was crying the rest of the day, but I her faithful pal Hooty did everything to cheer her up. No thanks to you. Hoot!

Amity: That's why I'm here, to apologize to her.

Hooty: Well my feelings were hurt too. So was my face, and my eye, my neck, my beak, my jaw. Did I say my neck yet? Do I get an apology for you beating me up?

Amity: ( sighs) Okay, I'm sorry I beated you up. Now can I please talk to Christa and tell her to come outside. I want to talk in private.

Hooty: Apology accepted. Hoot! Hoot!

Hooty stretched up to the window where Christa. Amity could hear a faint conversation from the window.

Hooty: Oh CC! You have a guest waiting for you outside.

Christa: Tell them I'll be right down Hoot Hoot.

Hooty went back down.

Hooty: She'll be right down.

Amity: Good.

The two of them waited for Christa to come down.

Hooty: So as we're waiting, you want to hear the time I was friends with a fly for the whole day?

But before Amity could answer no, the door opened and it was Christa. Christa frowned when she saw Amity.

Christa: Amity?

Amity: Christa. Um how've you been?

Christa: ( looking away) Ok I guess. A little better than yesterday.

Luz: Christa, who's at the door?

Luz came from behind.

Luz: Amity, where have you been? I've been looking for you to talk to Christa.

Amity: I uh...wasn't feeling well today. But I'm here now, is it okay I talk to Christa in private.

Luz: Oh okay. If this will help you guys. I'll be inside.

Luz closed the door, giving the two some privacy.

Christa: What did you want to see me about?

Amity: Christa I came to...

Before Amity could continue Hooty stretched behind Christa.

Amity: I said I wanted a private conversation.

Christa: Hoot Hoot do you mind?

Hooty: Oh sorry.

Hooty stuck his head into the ground like an ostrich.

Hooty: This is the best I can do. Just pretend I'm not here. Hoot!

Amity: ( sighs) Okay Christa, I came to apologize for what I did yesterday.

Christa: R-Really?

Amity: Yes, the way I acted was inexcusable.

Christa: No, you had every right reason to yell at me.

Amity: What do you mean?

Christa: I knew I wasn't going to make a good first impression. I don't know how I did it, but I did. I'm a screw up in general and you were the one person I really wanted to get to know.

Amity: Christa you didn't do anything, it was all me. I yelled at you because...can you keep a scecret?

Christa nodded and Amity got closer to her.

Amity: Luz is a... very special person to me. She's kind, friendly, energetic, funny, fun to hang with, selfless and forgiving. She's everything I wished I was. I was pretty bad girl before. My parents are so controlling, they made me break ties with Willow, I was friends with Boscha and you saw how she is and I wasn't very good to Luz either. But she still wanted to get to know me and forgave me for how I treated her. She helped me get out of a bad crowd and showed me friends that were supportive to me.

Christa: She means that much to you doesn't she?

Amity: Yeah, she's just so sweet and...and she's really grown on me. She's so special that I wouldn't want anything happening to her.

Christa's eyes widened realizing what this was.

Christa: Amity do you love Luz? Like in love?

Amity: ( nods and blushes) Yeah. She's just so...inspiring and supportive. I've had feelings for her for a few months now. When I saw how she was hanging out with you and looked happier I felt...

Christa: You thought I was stealing her away from you. Amity is this what it's all about?

Amity looked down and frowned, rubbing her arm.

Amity: Yes.

Christa: Oh Amity, I like Luz as well, but she's a dear friend to me. I see her more as a sister figure. I swear I don't have any romantic feelings for her.

Amity: Really?

Christa: Yes. When I woke up from the pod, I had no memory of who I was. I was scared, lost and confused, but Luz took me in. She and everyone else treated me with kindness and are trying everything they can to find my home. Luz has been helping me discover more on my powers and who I am. I've only known her for almost two weeks now, but it feels like I've known her for a while now. She treats my like a sister she never had. I didn't mean to take her away from you. I'm sorry that I made you jealous.

Amity: No don't be. I shouldn't have thought like that or yelled at you. I'm the idiot. But now that you know, just don't tell Luz about how I feel about her just yet. If she's going to know, I want to tell her myself oneday.

Christa: I won't and I won't get in the way if you want to be with her.

Amity: Thanks, again I'm so sorry.

Christa: It's okay. I'm glad you came to apologize. I forgive you.

Amity: But I'm having trouble forgiving myself.

Christa: Please try to. I don't want this to affect you forever.

Amity: I just need time, but I'll try. Wait, did you mean it when you said I was the one person you really wanted to be friends with?

Christa: Yes I did. I told you Luz told me so much about you and they way she described you, you must be so cool.

Amity: Thanks but I'm not as cool as you think. Also I never said it yesterday, but I have to admit what you did to Boscha was pretty cool.

Christa: ( chuckles) I still can't believe I did that. But I was more surprised I have the power to control water.

Amity: So are you still learning?

Christa: Yeah, I got the hang of fire and ice, well almost. Plant I just found out I had and still practicing, but now I have water.

Amity: That's quite a bit of power for someone of your age don't you think?

Christa: Yeah, I don't know how I have these though.

Amity: Have you remembered anything about yourself yet?

Christa: Well, other than this vague dream of someone who I think is my mother, that's it for now.

Amity: Well I really hope you remember more or find your home. And if you need help, you can see me. I can help you train and I'll do my part to help in your search.

Christa: Thanks. So does this mean we're okay?

Amity: Yeah, we are. You still forgive me right?

Christa: I already said yes silly.

Amity: ( chuckles) Right you did. How about we start over with introductions?

Christa: Sure we can do that.

Amity: Ahem Hello, my name is Amity Blight. It's nice to meet you.

Christa: Hello Amity, my name is Christa. It's nice to meet you as well.

Amity: That's a very nice name. I heard you were into Azura. Would you like to be part of our Azura book club?

Christa's eyes widened, sparkling when Amity offered her to join her club.

Christa: Yes!

Christa hugged Amity. Amity was a bit suprised, but she smiled and hugged her back. The two entered inside where Luz was waiting.

Luz: Amity, Christa. Is everything okay?

Amity: It's alright Luz, we made up.

Christa: We're okay now, really.

Luz smiled and jumped up hugging the two.

Luz: This is great. My two besties are getting along now!

Amity: Luz I also want to apologize to you, for ruining things.

Luz: You don't have to say why if you don't want to. I was more concerned for Christa than myself. But if she forgives you, then it's okay.

Amity: Okay.

Luz: Good now that things are better now. Who wants to go to get ice cream and go to the park to feed the birds there?

Christa was about to she wanted to, but something else came to though.

Christa: I'd love to Luz, but I think I'll sit this out.

Luz: You sure.

Christa: Yeah, Eda really had it with me with chores and training, I'm beat. But I'm sure Amity would like to go.

Christa winked at Amity. Amity gave a silent gasp knowing what she was trying to do. She was giving her the alone time with Luz.

Luz: Oh okay, well Amity do you want to go?

Amity responed almost immedietly.

Amity: YES! I mean yes I would.

Luz: Okay come on. Be back later Christa, I'll bring you a cone.

Luz took Amity's hand, making her blush. As the walked away, Amity turned and looked at Christa. She gave a smile and waved to her. Christa smiled and waved back at her. Once they were gone, Hooty emerged from the ground.

Hooty: OOOOH! I see what you did there.

Christa: I think I made the right move Hoot Hoot. Amity deserves some time with Luz and I don't want mess with love.

Hooty: CC the wingman! I mean woman. Hoot! Hoot!

Christa: ( chuckles) Very funny Hoot Hoot. I think the new episode of Bleeding Hearts is about to come on. You wanna watch with me?

Hooty: Oh, I'll get the popcorn!

Christa went inside as Hooty followed her in. She felt she made the right move and is excited to know what her new friendship with Amity would be like.

Author's Note: That's it for this chapter. I was anxious to get to this one, to have Willow, Gus and Amity have a major chapter, but I will do more with them soon and make might make some of my own Lumity moments. I don't know if I made Amity out of character in this chapter and if I did I apologize, just thought how she would act if Luz was hanging with another girl. But I won't make her like this again. I am trying to think how else I can work with her and if she and Luz should get together in a different way. I want to thank Lady Shadow92 for help on this chapter.
