Chapter 16: Eda's Requiem
Part: 2
Featuring Choju Twins, Black King and Red King
The next day
Mathilda was approaching the Owl House. As she was getting close, Hooty approached to her and wraps himself around her to hug her.
Hooty: Matti!
Mathilda: Hello Hooty. It's so nice to see you. Is Eda home?
Hooty: Glad your here actually. Eda' sort of having uh...um an episode. Hoot!
Mathilda: What?
Mathilda enters the house, but the door barely opened as there were endless empty bottles of apple blood all over the floor.
Mathilda: Oh what the? Eda! Eda?
Mathilda looked around the house for Eda. She went upstairs where more bottles of apple blood were on the floor and could hear Eda groaning from her room. She walked over to it.
Mathilda: Eda, I thought I told you to lay off the apple blood. You know what this stuff does to...oh.
Mathilda stopped talking when she saw Eda sitting at her make up station, in pajamas holding a bottle of apple blood in one hand and a tissue box close to her. She lifted up her head which showed the make up on her face was all messed up, especially with her mascara, like she was crying. She took another sip out of the bottle.
Eda: (sniffs) Stupid Archy. Thinking because he's so smart he can do whatever. He's just jealous, right Owlbert.
Owlbert just sat in the corner with a few empty bottles, hooting once at Eda but looked concerned for her.
Mathilda: Eda are you okay?
Eda jumped a bit hearing Mathilda's voice and turned to her and trying hard to act cool.
Eda: Matti hey. I'm just uh, um recycling. You know it's a good way to get some extra money.
Mathilda: How many bottles have you drank.
Eda: I don't know, uh five?
Mathilda: How did you even afford all of this?
Eda: I traded in some of the selkigris for a truck load.
Mathilda got closer to her.
Mathilda: Okay, what's the matter?
Eda: Pffft nothing, I'm good. I'm good. Uh excuse me...
Eda was about to take another sip out of the bottle until Mathilda snatched it off her hand.
Mathilda: Nah ah. No more apple blood until you tell me what's wrong. What did I hear about Archimedes and jealousy?
Eda looked down sniffing. Mathilda saw tears coming down her face. She took some tissues and wiped the tears off Eda's face and cleaning off the smeared make up.
Mathilda: Eda talk to me. What's wrong?
Eda: Well, what happened was...Archimedes and I got into a fight. A bad one.
Mathilda: Oh no. What happened?
Eda: So, you've heard about Raine now Head Bard.
Mathilda: Yeah, I saw them yesterday. They told me about it.
Eda: Well they've also been leading the rebellion against the Emperor and I joined in.
Mathilda: What?
Eda: I was helping with their raids until Archimedes saw me and then yesterday he came over and talked about what I was doing.
Mathilda: What did he say exactly?
Eda: He asked why we were doing this, when Raine and I dated and how dangerous helping them with this is.
Mathilda: Eda, you know that...
Eda: I know what I'm doing is dangerous Matti! But I'm not weak. I can take care of myself!
Eda realized her yell startled Matti a bit.
Eda: I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell at you.
Mathilda held Eda close and hugged her.
Mathilda: It's okay. I know you didn't mean it. Do the kids know about this?
Eda: No.
Mathilda: Eda, your putting your life in danger and if something happened to you, how will Luz, Christa or King feel about losing you?
Eda: But they don't need me. They all have real families to get too. I know King plans on leaving real soon and Luz and Christa have their homes to get to. I don't want to force them to stay then that would be selfish of me and I would crush their dreams. I'm just gonna miss them.
Mathilda: Eda even if they leave, they'll always remember and love you. I know how much you mean to them.
Eda: Yeah, too bad Archy doesn't.
Mathilda: He's probably just worried about you. You know how much you mean to him.
Eda: Maybe he was. Maybe if I didn't say he was just jealous he wouldn't have said what he said at the end.
Mathilda: What did he say?
Eda: ( sighs) He got upset and as he left, he said he wasn't going to be there for me anymore if I got into trouble.
Mathilda: Oh. That's uh...that's harsh.
Eda: He probably hates me now.
Mathilda: He doesn't hate you, he just got over his head and said things he shouldn't.
Eda: But it's over between us.
Mathilda: Did he break up with you?
Eda: He might have well said it. I can't even look at him again.
Mathilda: Eda, he probably feels bad for what he said as well. I want to say what you're doing is dangerous too and I'm worried for your safty. But I can't force you to change your mind. Just promise me that you'll be okay and be there for all of us. There are so many people who love and care for you. I'll be devestated if you were gone. And please look after Raine also. They've been my best friend since childhood.
Eda: I know you all are worried about me, but you know me. I'm pretty crafty and tough, even without my magic. And I can't leave Raine. I've always been there to help you and Archy when we were kids. I won't do anything stupid
Mathilda: Alright. Where is everyone?
Eda: Oh they should be getting ready for the Gland Prix. Wait that's today! Ah dang I promised Luz I'd be there!
Eda quickly got up and got ready.
Eda: Wish I could talk more sis, but I gotta get going fast.
Eda gave Mathilda a hug which she did as well.
Mathilda: Of course, and if you do see Raine again soon. Give him this.
Mathilda took out a small bottle from her bag and hands it to Eda.
Mathilda: I made an ointment that if applied on wounds it'll heal them quickly.
Eda takes it and puts it in her hair.
Eda: I will.
Later at Archimedes's house.
Archimedes was in his study room, his face on his desk and surrounded wtih books and still upset over yesterday. Then he sprung his head up when he heard a knock. Was it Eda he thought. When he opened it was Mathilda.
Archimedes: Matti?
Mathilda: Archy, mind if we talk a bit?
Archimedes: Uh yeah sure come in.
Archimedes invites Mathilda inside to his guest room and gets her a drink.
Archimedes: So what brings you here?
Mathilda: Archimedes, I heard what happened yesterday. With you and Eda.
Archimedes frowned and looked away.
Archimedes: So you heard.
Mathilda: So then, did you break up with her?
Archimedes: No I didn't. Did she tell you that?
Mathilda: No, but she thinks you have.
Archimedes: I never broke up with her, but the thing is...I don't know what to do right now. I tried to talk her out of it but she wouldn't listen to me and she's probably still going to do this.
Mathilda: I know. Archy you know she's a bit hard to get through, but we can't force her out of it.
Archimedes: You mean to tell me you're okay with this?
Mathilda: Not really, but I need someone to be there for her. I trust Raine, but maybe it'd be better if you were there with her to make sure.
Archimedes: She doesn't need me.
Mathilda: But if anything happens to her, what about Luz, Christa and King?
Archimedes: I promised myself that I would look after them. But if she wants to join Raine's crazy rebellion, let her.
Mathilda: Is that jealousy I hear out of you?
Archimedes: ( looking away) Uh, um...
Mathilda: You are jealous that Eda is with Raine aren't you?
Archimedes: Oh wow...
Archimedes sits down with sudden realization.
Archimedes: I really am jealous of them. I mean I don't dislike Raine, we were friends back in school. But it's not just that. I'm worried about her. She could get hurt or maybe killed.
Mathilda: She's always been in tough situations, but we know her better than that. She's pretty tough.
Archimedes: Back when she was all powerful! Before she was the most powerful witch in the Boiling Isles but now she's not.
Mathilda: So that's it. You think because she's powerless she shouldn't get into adventures.
Archimedes: ( sighs) Yeah. I mean, I check with her every other day to make sure she's safe. Matti, yesterday I was only trying to look out for her and reason with her to stop, but I think I made things worse. I love her so much and I'm scared of losing her. But I think I was jealous and that it over took my emotions. I yelled at her and told her I wouldn't be there to help her. I guess I did break up with her without basically saying it.
Mathilda got up and placed her hand on his shoulder.
Mathilda: Archy, I know you're only trying to protect her and it's sweet you care so much. But she's tough girl no matter what. She maybe hanging out with Raine, but you're her boyfriend right now. If you want to make sure she's safe, then be there for her and face those obstacles like before. She's always had your back when were kids, be there for her.
Archimedes just thought of what she said and she's right. How could always be there for Eda but suddenly quit on her. She never left his side whenever he was feeling down or in trouble. He was remembering another moment of theirs from childhood.
Long time ago
Archimedes at age 11 was walking through the halls at Hexside. He was heading towards the sports field because he found a note at his desk from a classmate named Shanna, who he had a crush on thinking she was cool and pretty. The note said she thought he was cute and to meet her after school at the sports field.
Young Eda: Hey Archy!
He turned and saw Eda with Lilith and Mathilda approach him.
Young Eda: Hey, you studying after school again?
Young Archimedes: No, I got a note from Shanna Atwill from my history class. She wants to meet me.
Young Lilith: Oh, a girl wants to meet you in private?
Young Mathilda: Aw that's cute.
Young Eda: You mean that girl you go on and on about how cool and beautiful she is?
Young Archimedes: I think she's really starting to notice me.
Young Eda: Yeah but don't you guys just do small talk and occasionally work on a project together. Why would she want to meet you all of the sudden?
Young Archimedes: Why wounld't she? I'm like the smartest student in the class. Have you seen my grades?
Young Eda: I'm just saying Archy, this sounds a bit odd don't you think?
Young Archimedes: Oh Eda, you know what I'd mean if you crushing on someone too.
Young Eda: Hey even if I did, I know when something is off.
Young Archimedes: Can't stay anymore, really gotta go. See you guys.
Archimedes walks away to meet his date.
Young Lilith: Don't you think you're overthinking this Edalyn?
Young Eda: I'm not overthinking nothing.
Young Mathilda: You're not jealous are you Eda?
Young Eda: ( blushing) What?! No Matti, I like Archy but not that way. I'm just worried about him is all.
Later.
Archimedes made it to the sports field where his classmate Shanna was supposed to be.
Young Archimedes: Well I'm here, but where is she?
Shanna: Hey Archimedes!
He turned and saw her waving to him.
Young Archimedes: Oh Shanna! Hey, so what's...
But when he tried to touch her she vanished revealing to be an illusion.
Young Archimedes: What the?
Then he was hit with a ball that looked like abomination goop and was covered in it. He heard laughter and saw two bullies, one being an illusionist and the other being from the abomination track.
Abomination bully: Hey Archimedes, glad you got our note.
Illusionist bully: Yeah but too bad Shanna doesn't bother having the time for a loser like you.
They continued laughing at him as Archimedes ran away in embarresment.
Illusionist bully: Oh man, that was hilarious.
Abomination bully: I know, did you get a load of the look on his face?
Young Eda: I definitly did.
They turned and saw Eda looking at them really mad.
Young Eda: I saw the look on his face unfortunatly and you know what? It wasn't funny and you know what I do to jerks like you who mess with my friends?
Eda formed a spell circle and shot a plant vine that wrapped the two bullies together, tieing them up and a long piece of the vine still sticking out.
Abomination bully: Hey what the?
Illusionist bully: Let us out loser!
Young Eda: Oh you'll be free.
Eda takes the loose vine and sets it on fire as it slowly comes to them
Illusionist bully: Whoa, whoa what are you doing?
Young Eda: You'll be free as soon as it burns it off, better hope you two don't get burnt.
Abomination bully: Hey this isn't cool! Help!
Eda left looking for Archimedes as the two screamed from the fire coming at them.
Young Eda: Archy! Archy!?
Eda looked for him all over the school until she found him sitting near the entrance, still covered in goop and curled up. She went down to check on him.
Young Eda: Hey!
Archimedes gasped looking up.
Young Eda: Hey you okay? Were you crying?
Young Archimedes: No I'm not okay and no I wasn't crying.
Young Eda: Why do I see tears in your eyes?
Young Archimedes: I just got abomination goop in my eye, that's all!
Archimedes curled up again.
Young Eda: I'm sorry I wasn't there in time to stop it. But cheer up, those jerks were taught a lesson they'll never forget.
Young Archimedes: Thanks, but it won't change anything. I'm a loser.
Young Eda: Hey don't listen to them, you're not a loser. You're almost twelve, toughen up a bit.
Young Archimedes: I'm trying Eda it's hard! You were right, it was a prank and I fell for it. You must really think I'm naive don't you?
Young Eda: Of course not. You're my bestie. I think it's cruel to mess with someone's feelings.
Young Archimedes: But who am I kidding. Shanna's never going to really notice me or any girl probably.
Archimedes curled up again. Eda formed a spell circle and used her magic to remove the obomination goo off of him. He realized it was all gone and looked at her.
Young Eda: Hey don't give up now. I'm sure if you keep trying you'll woo her or any girl. I mean who wouldn't want to go out with you. You're smart, helpful and nice. I for one think that.
Eda pulled him into a hug. Archimedes and blushed then hugged her back. It this day, this moment he began to have feelings for Eda.
Young Eda: Don't let others pick on you. When you're scared you just gotta punch fear in the face and if you're in any trouble, just come to me okay Archy? I got you.
Young Archimedes: Thanks E.
Young Eda: So you okay now?
Young Archimedes: A little.
Young Eda: A little? Nope, I need you completely.
Eda breaks the hug and then wraps her arm around his neck nooging him.
Young Eda: Tell me you're better.
Young Archimedes: AAAAH! I'm better!
Young Eda: I can't here you!
Young Archimedes: I'm better! OW!
Flashback ends.
Archimedes smiled at that memory. If she was there for his tough times then he will for hers no matter the situation.
Archimedes: Alright, I'm going to make things right with her.
Mathilda: Great. She's at the Gland Prix.
Archimedes: Okay, thank you Matti. You've always been the glue to our friendship in our group.
Mathilda happily hugged him.
Mathilda: Of course, I'm always there for my friends.
Meanwhile.
Eda made it to the Gland Prix where students were gathering for the race. She saw Luz, Christa and King getting ready and were about to use Christa's new staff for this.
Luz: Eda!
Luz and Christa ran to Eda hugging her.
Christa: So glad you could come. I really want you to see how much I improved on staff flying.
Eda: Hey of course I'd make. Definitely wasn't sulking in apple blood hehe.
King: Hey Eda, I really like to tell you something before the race.
Eda: Well if it's so important, you can tell me after the race. When you win okay?
King: For real?
Eda: Yes for real, really. Now you three get out there and make mama proud.
Christa: I'll make you proud Eda.
Luz: Alright guys, lets get out there give our all.
Soon the race began and announcer Perry Porter with his son Gus stepped forward.
Perry: Welcome everyone to the Gland Prix!
The audience cheered as the race was about to begin.
Perry: Contestants will fly down the right arm to the cubital valley. They use speed, cunning and magic to the check point and back to the finish line! Winner will get their name etched on the Cup of Ephemeral Glory!
Cup of Ephemeral Glory: All victory is fleeting.
Perry: And an on camera interview seen by everyone watching across the isles.
The trio looked at each other. Luz and Christa looked determined while King looked nervous. They got on the staff. Christa would take control of flying with Luz as her back up sitting behind her and King sitting up front. All racers got in place ready to start.
Perry: On your mark. Get set.
The Cup of Ephermal Glory gives the yell for them and the race begins. Eda who was rooting for the trio to win, was still nervous of the outcome. If they win, she has to let King say what he wants. She brushed it away long enough. While she sat and watched, Archimedes saw her on the bench. She hasn't noticed him yet, but he was here to make amends with her, but was trying to think what to say. But then Eda's raven phone range and got a call from Raine.
Eda: Raine?
Raine: We just got a tip of another raid. I know you're probably busy but...
Eda: No it's fine. I'll be there.
Eda hangs up and looks back at the screen as she saw the kids racing.
Eda: Sorry kiddos but I'm still rooting for ya.
Eda got off the bench and left, but Archimedes didn't notice yet as he was still thinking of what to say.
Archimedes: Okay uh" Eda I'm sorry. I was jealous, please forgive." Nah too generic, needs to be more real. " Eda I should have know better and trust you. I'm sorry." Nah maybe the first one was better.
But then he turns and see's her gone.
Archimedes: Oh come on.
Archimedes runs out to go find her.
Meanwhile.
Eda was with Raine and the Bats in the forest nearby the race.
Eda: So what's up?
Raine: I heard of a wagon carrying more imprisoned wild witches coming this way. It's not much but worth saving. Everyone get into position.
Everyone hid behind their own tree and waited for the wagon to come. It soon came and there was a coven scout driving it. Eda looked over and Raine nodded. They pulled a string on the violin which let out a magic wave that destroyed the wheels. The scout looked confused for a moment until Eda threw a rock at his head, knocking him out.
Katya: That's it? That was the whole raid?
Derwin: I honestly expected to be harder than that. This was easy.
Eda: Perhaps to easy.
Eda's eyes widened as looked over at Raine who thought the same thing.
Amber: Come on, lets get them out of here.
Raine: Wait guys don't...
But Derwin opened the back door of the wagon and suddenly it bursts open with two monstrous demons. They were two bipedal reptilian monsters with yellow teeth and claws. They had four fingers and three toes and stood 8 feet tall. They had long fangs sticking out from their upper jaws, a small horn on their snout and a another long horn on their head. Their back was spiked up like a crocodile, but did have one long dorsal spike in the middle and a row of spikes on their tails. They both had red eyes and their looks and body were the same except one was red and the other black. Their roars were more of a hissing growl ( stock Ultraman Black King roar).
Katya: Oh Titan. What are those things?
Eda: Demons?
Raine: Not ones I've seen before.
The red demon roared and breathed fire at the group. The black demon did so also, separating Eda and Raine from the others. Raine got his violin and shot out a wave of magic at the black monster, but it didn't even budge it. It stood there a bit fazed but unharmed. Eda took a potion bomb strapped around her waist and threw it at it, but again was unharmed.
Eda: It's not even dented.
Raines: Their hides are extremely thick.
The red demon cornered Katya, Derwin and Amber, then suddenly from the shadows was a large snake, lunging at the three and constricting them, but also coming out from the shadows was the Legion of Five. The snake was revealed to actually be Selene's arm that she stretched out and turned into a snake catching the three. When she showed herself the other four did as well.
Selene: Well, well. Look what we have here. A trio of rebels in the palm of my hand.
Satarakura: Nice one Selene. Squeeze them like the echomice they are. Bahahahahaa!
Raine: The Legion of Five.
Shadam: So you were right Selene, Raine Whispers is the leader of the resistance. Not only that, but it's true. Eda the Owl Lady is here as well.
Selene: I told you I was right. Hm? No Lilith? What a shame. I was hoping to see her so we could...catch up.
Eda: Sorry to disappoint you Selene.
Raine: We fell for their trap.
Voffa: Yes, but we had some help from an old friend of yours Owl Lady.
The scout got up and removed the cloak revealing to be Thomas.
Thomas: Ow, you didn't have to hit me with a rock.
Eda: Thomas.
Thomas: Eda, baby, how nice to see you again. And our good old nerd Raine Whispers, the new head of the Bard Coven.
Eda: I can't believe you Thomas. I knew you were an awful guy for hypnotizing me. But going as low as helping the Emperor's Coven?
Raine: You don't know what they're doing.
Thomas: Hey, I don't care about what the Emperor has in plan. The only thing that matters is that I get you.
Eda: What part of it's over do you not understand?
Thomas: I never take no for an answer. And you know, I'm willing to forget about the beating last time and wedgie if...you surrender to me.
Eda: You really think I'm gonna do that?
Thomas: Think about it. I can pay off the charges these guys will press and keep you safe from the Emperor. Just come to me and we can start over. What do you say?
Raine looked over at Eda, wasn't sure what she would decide.
Eda: Forget it Tommy! I'd rather be dead than to ever be with you again.
Thomas: Oh come on!
Voffa: Enough of this. There is no escape for you this time.
Mikela: Oh and what do you think of my Choju? In other words, Terrible-Demons. Meet my new creations, the King Brothers. Red King and Black King.
Eda: ( sarcastically) Oh wow that's really creative.
Mikela: Shut up! I had to name them in such short notice. But enough of that. Red King, Black King! Kill them both!
The King Brothers roared and their horns glowed and shot an energy projectile at them. Eda and Raine them. Raine tried to use more magic projectiles with his violin at Red King and Eda got out a fire glyph and used it on Black King. Neither attack had much effect on them. Black King's horn began to glow and fired at Eda and Raine as the two barely dodged.
Selene: Now for you three.
Katya, Derwin and Amber looked worried. Selene pointed her staff at them.
Selene: It's the comformatorium for you three until we come up for a sentence.
Kaa's eyes began to glow and warped the three away.
Raine: No!
Katya, Derwin and Amber are warped inside a cell in the coformatorium.
Katya: No, no. Not this place again!
Back in the woods Eda and Raine were still fighting the King Brothers, but then the two Choju did something else. They held onto each other and began to spin. The back dorsal spike began to glow blue and a blue aura formed around them as they kept spinning. Eda got a plant glyph and shot a vine at them, which was instantly cut to pieces upon impact. She then tried an ice glyph but again, it shattered upon impact.
Raine: I don't believe it, they're practically invincible.
Eda: Nothing is invincible, they have to have a weak spot.
But then the top of the King Brothers horns began to glow as they kept spinning. The red beams shot at them as Eda and Raine dodged.
Raine: We're at a disadvantage.
Eda: Grab onto me and hold your breath as long as you can.
Raine holds onto Eda as she gets out an invisibility glyph and turned invisible. The King Brothers stopped spinning and looked confused.
Thomas: They're gone!
Shadam: They won't get far. Spit up! Find them!
Mikela created a five dorodoros and they all split up to find them.
Meanwhile.
Archimedes was flying over the forest looking for Eda.
Archimedes: Where is she? I know I saw her go in here.
Back in the ground.
Eda and Raine finally breathes as they were hidden in a far part of the forest.
Eda: I am glad I remembered how to do that. But now what? Those King Brothers are tough and the Legion of Five. Sheesh they might as well send the whole army at us.
Raine: Wait, there might be a way to beat them. You said your curse messes with magic. I think I can make that work in our favor.
Eda: It might be our best hope. Let's go for it Raine Storm.
Raine formed his violin and a loot for Eda. Raine played their song first, to spread the magic all around the area. Then Eda started playing. Their song was lifting the objects all around, but then as they kept playing, Eda's curse started to take over and turn the magic into a dark grey aura and decomposing the levitating objects.
Mikela: You hear that?
Voffa: They're close. What's that?
Mikela and Voffa saw the cursed magic coming towards them. The dorodoros with them panicked and one of them tripped and fell, he was being consumed by the curse and it's body turned into ash.
Mikela: AAH! What is that?! Brother do something!
Voffa: What can I do? AH!
Mikela and Voffa and the other two dorodoros were slowly being consumed by the curse.
Satarakura: Come out, come out where ever you are! Huh?
Satarakura turned and saw the cursed magic coming towards him, he didn't have time to react and was caught being consumed and struggled to get out.
Shadam and Selene were still looking for the two and heard the music.
Shadam: Over there!
He pointed to the cursed magic coming towards them.
Selene: There they are. What?
They saw the cursed magic come at them and Shadam was being corrupted from the bottom of his legs.
Shadam: What is this?
Shadam's eyes glowed and shot his eye beams at the ground hoping to stop it, but nothing.
Selene: Shadam! Urgh!
Selene was now being corrupted by the curse.
Thomas and the King Brothers were still searching for the two, then they heard music playing.
Thomas: They're over there. Get them!
Thomas ran to the song, but then found himself stuck to the ground as he was being consumed by the curse.
Thomas: No, what is this? Stop no!
The King Brothers also tried getting out but they couldn't as they were being consumed.
Archimedes was still flying over the forest looking for her.
Archimedes: Come on, come on where is she?
Then he heard music playing.
Archimedes: Is that her?
Archimedes followed the sound of the song in hopes it would lead him to her.
Back on the ground. The Legion of Five and Thomas were nearly consumed by the curse as Eda and Raine kept playing.
Eda: It's working. Keep playing.
But then they noticed the curse was starting to consume them too. It they kept playing, they'll die as well.
Raine: Eda, we may not make it ourselves. Do you really want to keep going.
Eda listened to Raine but her decision was already made. Archimedes isn't there for her anymore and Luz, Christa and King had their own families to get to.
Eda: ( in her mind) I'm sorry Matti, I just can't. ( outloud)We play on until they're truly gone!
Archimedes: Eda!
Eda and Raine stopped playing hearing that voice. Eda especially as she messed up her tune and eyes widened. The cursed magic faded away and everything turned back to normal. Archimedes landed and ran at her, grabbing her by the arms.
Eda: Archimedes? What are you...
Archimedes: Eda, you weren't doing what I thought you were, were you?
Then he set his attention to Raine.
Raine: Archimedes, it's been a...
Archimedes: Raine! Was this your idea? Your plan almost got her killed.
Eda: Archimedes stop, Raine was willing to fallback. I wanted to keep going.
Archimedes: Eda why? You were seriously going to kill yourself and leave us behind?
Eda: I'm sorry, I...I was sort of in a depressive mood. I thought, I thought I had nothing left.
Archimedes: Of course you do. Eda I can't let you guys do this, you'll be leaving the kids alone.
Raine: Kids? Eda, do you have kids? Wait you guys have kids?
Eda and Archimedes blushed and looked at each other for a moment.
Archimedes: Whoa, whoa we just started dating.
Eda: And they're not mine, mine. Ugh, but it doesn't matter, they have real families to get to.
Archimedes: That maybe true Eda, but they still need you. They look up to you, you gave Luz and Christa a place to stay as they're finding their home and you raised King. If you were killed, they'll be devasted. I'll be devastated.
Raine: You know, he's got a point.
Eda looked over at Raine as did Archimedes seeing how they agreed with him.
Raine: I don't know what exactly you're running away from, but shouldn't give up so easily. Eda you said you had nothing to live for, but you do. You and Matti told me about how you finally got with Archimedes and you've never been more happy in your life.
Archimedes: What?
Raine: Yes, she told me how you were this great friend that was there for Eda. She told me how you she taught you something and later me about...punching fears in the face? And how you were always trying to help her get away from the Emperor's Coven and helping with her problems. At least that's what I've heard. And you know what, I can't ruin that for any of you. We'll find another way to beat them.
But then the trees behind them broke down. They looked and saw the King Brothers roaring. Black King grabbed hold of Raine while Red King grabbed Eda.
Archimedes: Eda! Raine! Let them go!
Archimedes staff turned into an actual scythe and tried to attack Red King. But then he was knocked down by a magic wave caused by Thomas's violin.
Eda: Archy!
Eda tried breaking free, but couldn't as the King Brothers took her and Raine to the Legion of Five. Archimedes got back up and saw Thomas standing in front of him.
Archimedes: Thomas.
Thomas: Well if it isn't Archimedes, come to ruin my chances with Eda again?
Archimedes: You had your chance. And you call this trying to get to her.
Thomas: Hey I'm giving her a choice to be with me or be turned over to the Emperor's Coven.
Archimedes: I won't allow it. Not when I'm here.
Archimedes swiped his scythe in the air which let out an energy wave at Thomas. Thomas dodged the attack played his violine which made musical note projectiles and shot at Archimedes, he blocked each attack but got hit on his shoulder. Archimedes formed a spell circle which shot out magic projectiles at Thomas, he dodged one attack, but then was knocked down by another. Archimedes took his scythe and was about to strike down at Thomas. He panicked for a moment and shut his eyes scared. But Archimedes didn't strike down at him, he intentionally missed and had the blade barely miss his face.
Archimedes: I'm not a killer, but tell your friends to back off or else.
Thomas: Bad move Archimedes.
Thomas kicked him off. Archimedes fell back and saw a dozen of destructive music notes aimed at him and Thomas was about to finish him off.
Thomas: I got you now Archimedes. Prepare to die!
Meanwhile at the race.
Christa, Luz and King were doing their best in the race. With the training they did, they were getting past all the racers. They soon saw the ring they were supposed to go through and Christa was going at fast speed.
King: Uh Christa, you might want to slow down or we'll crash making the turn.
Luz: Don't worry King. That's what I'm here for.
Luz got out a plant glyph and shot a vine at the ring which held on and made an easy turn for them. They were in the lead, nothing could stop them now.
Christa: Thanks.
Luz: That's the power of teamwork.
Christa: I can see the finish line.
Luz: We're gonna make it!
But King wasn't feeling too well.
King: Uh guys, I don't feel to good.
Christa: Just hold it in King, we're almost there.
King: I...can't...
King covered his mouth as he was about to throw up.
Luz: King? King?!
Back on the ground, Thomas was about to finish off Archimedes.
Thomas: I got you now Archimedes. Prepare to die!
King: BLEH!
Thomas: What was that?
Thomas looked up after hearing King's puking sound. But then something was coming down at him.
Thomas: What was that noise? Wait what's that coming...oh no, no,no!
Archimedes covered his eyes when King's vomit got all over Thomas's head.
Thomas: NOOOOO-AAAAAAAAAAAH!
Archimedes took this as a chance and hits Thomas on the head with his staff, knocking him out.
Archimedes: Phew, thank Titan for whatever that was.
Archimedes got up and ran to save Eda and Raine.
Meanwhile.
The King Brothers dragged Eda and Raine to the Legion of Five who were waiting.
Mikela: Well done my pets. Well done. Look who's in our grasp. The infamous Eda the Owl Lady and the traitor Raine Whispers. Hehehe, Emperor Belos will truly praise me for my plan.
Then he felt a shove from Selene.
Mikela: Um of course I couldn't have done it without your insight Selene and all my dear comrades. Now shall we take them back and torture them to death with our new torture devices.
Selene: That will be for the Emperor to decide. You really thought you could pull this off forever.
Raine: So how'd you know it was me?
Selene's palisman Kaa came to life and wrapped around her as she petted him.
Selene: I have an amazing spy.
Shadam: ( removing his hood) You've given us quite the trouble Raine. But you will suffer dearly for betraying the Emperor. He shall decide your fate.
Raine: I guess I should look forward to my own petrification.
Voffa: The same for you Owl Lady. He may have let you go before, but seeing what you have done. I will convince him to change his mind.
Raine: Stop! You can do what you want with me, but leave her out of it.
Selene: Oh how nobel. You playing the hero and taking the fall. How romantic.
Selene reached her arm at Raine and it stretched and turned into a snake arm. Black King lets go for her to grab as she slowly constricted them.
Selene: I find romance to be very cliched and sickening. I would squeeze you to death, but it's not my decision to make.
Satarakura: Come on, he's an instant traitor.
Mikela: I have to agree, but I rather torture him.
Eda: Wait! If you kill Raine, then you'll never know where the treasure is buried.
Mikela: Wh-What treasure?
Eda: Uh...the treasure of Imawiener.
Mikela: I'm a wiener?
But then Eda, Raine and even Satarakura laughed at Mikela.
Satarakura: HA! Nice!
Mikela: Who's side are you on?
Satarakura: Well you gotta admit that was pretty clever.
Mikela: Okay enough! I have had it! Let's just take them to the castle and save our skins.
Archimedes: HEY!
They looked up and saw Archimedes standing on a branch in a tree. He looked down at them with a serious look.
Archimedes: Put down my friends.
Archimedes formed a large spell circle which shot out magic projectiles. The five got out of the way, but King was shot in the back and back head which didn't hurt him, but one of the projectiles hit his horn, making it yell in pain and letting go of Eda. Red King was going to grab Eda again until Archimedes came up and slashed the demon across the chest, making it step back a bit.
Archimedes: Eda, you okay?
Archimedes reached his hand for her. Eda smiled and took it.
Eda: Yeah, thanks.
But then they looked and saw the Legion of Five, the dorodoros and King Brothers in front of them. In the very back was Selene still holding Raine in her snake arm.
Eda: We have to get Raine.
Archimedes: Alright, let's do it together.
Eda nodded at him as they got onto his staff.
Eda: Just fly at them, I'll do the rest.
Archimedes nodded and flew at them. Mikela shot a lightning beam at them while Voffa got his mini organ and played forming magic energy waves at them. Archimedes dodged each attack as Eda got two ice glyphs and shot ice projectile at them, freezing them.
Next was Satarakura who formed four other illusions of himself and charged at them and jumped up forming his throwing knives. Eda got out a fire glyph and spread it out hitting each illusion and Satarakura, who fell down and putting out his cape.
Now was Shadam who removed his robes and was charging at them with his arm blade. Eda got out a a plant glyph and shot a vine at his eye, blinding him as he struggled to pull it off.
The dorodors came at them, but Eda formed a water glyph and washed them away with a wave.
The King Brothers horns glow as they fired energy beams at them, Archimedes dodged each attack. Eda took some potion bombs from her waist and threw it at them, they were mildly fazed but unharmed then she formed the vines again and tied their legs, making them fall. Now they were getting to Selene.
Selene: Oh please.
Selene with her free hand with her staff formed a spell circle and it shot out rays of venomous snakes at them. Eda with another water glyph formed a wave of water at the snakes, knocking them down.
Selene: Impressive. But how about this?
Selene's neck suddenly stretched out like a snake as she came a Eda and Archimedes. Snake like fangs formed on mouth and was about to bite them. Eda got out a light glyph and the light ball shined at Selene, temporarly blinding her. Selene retracted her neck and rubbed her eyes with her free hand. Eda and Archimedes landed and Archimedes acted fast and used his scythe to cut off Selene's snake arm holding Raine. Selene yelled in pain and fell back as her decapitated snake arm turned back to normal but was missing her hand. Eda and Archimedes helped Raine up.
Archimedes: Raine, are you alright?
Raine: Yeah I'm fine. Thanks.
Then they heard the King Brothers roar and come at the three.
Eda: Aw come on.
Selene got back up and held her arm and her hand was actually regenerating.
Selene: Red King, Black King. Destroy them!
The King Brothers roared and breathed fire at them. Archimedes spun his scythe like a fan and blew the fire back at them.
Eda: Nice one.
Raine: Watch out.
The King Brothers held onto each other and began to spin with their spin attack again. They were coming towards the three. Archimedes tried to strike them, but the scythe just bounced off and he got hit by the spin attack. The horns on the King Brothers began to glow and shot red beams at them and Archimedes got hit in the back. Archimedes fell and the King Brothers stopped spinning and Red King approached Archimedes and stomped onto his back, slowly breaking it.
Raine: Archimedes!
Eda: Archy!
Eda and Raine ran to help him, but were cut off by Black King. His glowed and fired a beam at them. Raine tried again with his violin and Eda potion bombs but nothing.
Raine: There has to be some way to beat them.
Archimedes: Horns...
They heard Archimedes say something as he was being crushed.
Archimedes: Horns are the weakness. Hit the horns!
Eda and Raine looked at him and nodded. Eda threw a potion bomb at Black King's horn and it broke off. Black King roared in pain and fell back. Raine went up to Red King and with his violin formed a magic wave at his horn, breaking it off. Red King roared in pain and got off Archimedes. Eda and Raine helped him.
Eda: We got you Archy.
Shadam: Stop them!
Shadam and the others were coming at them
Raine: Let's get out of here.
Raine got out a smoke ball and threw it at the ground. Smoke formed around the spot and when it cleared up the three disappeared.
Satarakura: Oh come on!
Voffa: Find them! Don't let them get away!.
In a far part of the woods. Eda, Archimedes and Raine got away, for now.
Eda: Did we lose them?
Raine: Not long, they'll be here.
Archimedes: We have to get out of here.
Raine: It doesn't matter where we go. They'll keep finding us unless...
Eda: Unless what?
Raine: I'll lead them away.
Archimedes: What?
Eda: Raine no.
Raine: I'm the one they really want. You're not their main target.
Eda: But Raine...
Archimedes: Do you know what you're getting yourself into?
Raine: It's okay, I can handle it. Eda you just be there for your loved ones. And Archimedes...
Archimedes set his attention to them.
Raine: Take care of Eda and Archy thanks, for saving me back there.
Archimedes nods and smiles at them.
Archimedes: Of course and I'm sorry for lashing out at you like that and for the jealousy. It is great to see you again after all these years. Just be careful out there Band Geek.
Raine: Hmph, will do Egghead.
Eda: Raine wait.
Eda took out from her hair the ointment Mathilda made for him and handed it to them.
Eda: Matti wanted me to give you this.
Raine: I appreciate it. Tell her I said thank you.
Eda look sad and hugged them tight.
Eda: Be careful Raine Storm.
Raine hugged her back.
Raine: I will.
Selene: Come out Raine Whispers!
Satarakura: We just want to play!
Raine: Go now!
Eda got onto Archimedes's staff and flew away, leaving Raine behind as they lead the Legion of Five away from them.
Archimedes flew them back to the Gland Prix and looked back, concerned for Raine and at Eda who looked sad.
Archimedes: Eda you okay?
Eda: Yeah...( sniffs) yeah I'm fine.
They made it back to the race and looked at the screen that showed Luz, Christa and King getting near the finish line, neck and neck with another racer.
Perry: Luz and Christa of Hexside and Ookla of Glandus are barreling towards the finish line.
Eda: Come on girls, you got this!
Archimedes: Don't stop! Finish strong!
Luz and Christa were getting super close and at last they made it first to the finish line.
Perry: And there you have it! Luz and Christa over Ookla!
Eda: YEAH! That's how they rule!
Archimedes: They made it! Haha!
Perry: At 5th place.
Eda and Archimedes: Huh?
Perry: And now, let's give a hearty applause to our actual winners.
They missed the entire race and realized that they didn't win.
Christa: Hey Eda.
Eda and Archimedes turned and saw Luz, Christa and King with defeated looks.
Eda: You were flying like the dang wind. What happened?
Luz: Well we were winning for a while but then...
King: I got sick during the race and threw up.
Christa: And then we crashed.
King: I'm sorry guys. We would have made it had it not been for me.
Christa: No King, it's not you. I thought I mastered staff flying, if I did I wouldn't have gotten distracted and crashed.
Luz: Guys, don't beat yourselves. We did our best. Sometimes things just don't go as planned.
Christa: I guess, but now we won't be able to make some contact with our parents.
King: Guess I should throw my message into the garbage where it belongs.
Eda saw the sad looks on them and couldn't stand it. Even if it meant King telling her he was leaving, she won't crush their dreams.
Eda: No, it isn't over.
Eda got out her penstagram and started a stream.
King: Eda, who's even going to watch this?
Eda: Nobody watches crystal balls anymore. It's all about streaming now.
King: Okay, uh Christa did you want to go first?
Christa: You can go first King. I know how anxious you are to do this.
King: Thanks.
King got his message ready and began to read.
King: ( ahem) Hi dad. If you're watching this, I wanted to introduce myself. My name is King. I like cheesy foods and conquering kingdoms, though I haven't conquered any of my own yet. But you might have had and maybe we can compare notes. I'd love to meet ya. We can do parent and kid stuff. Toss a ball, burn some cookies, catch me going on some weird websites or something. Also I found this symbol from the tower I hatched in, but I also have a friend who also came from a pod that had it also. We'll get to her in a minute but maybe you can tell us what it means. I live with my two favorite friends and a cranky old witch.
Eda: Hey!
King: But cranky or not, she's the one who raised me. So that's why I am legally changing my name to King Clawthorne!
Eda: Wait what?
King showed her the documents of his name change.
King: Haha, surprise Eda! We're connected to life and theirs nothing you can do about it!
Eda: You mean, this is what you wanted to tell me this whole time?
Luz: ( handing her a pen) And if you sign here, it'll be official.
Archimedes smiled at Eda thinking she must be relieved, but saw the look on her face and it looked like she was about to start crying.
Luz: Eda are you okay?
Then Eda started crying feeling overjoyed over this.
Luz: Eda, if you keep crying then I'm gonna cry too.
Then Luz started crying as the two cried together.
Archimedes: Um, you two go over there let it out, I'll keep filming.
King: Well, I got nothing else to say, but before we end this I have a friend who also wants to speak out.
King took Christa's hand and put her on screen.
King: Dad, this is my friend Christa who I made mention before. I'll leave it to you now.
Christa: Thank you King.
Christa looked at the camera and took a deep breathe.
Christa: Mom, dad. If you're out there somewhere watching this I also wanted to introduce myself. My name is Christa Lightwing, well technically not. The truth is I woke up from a pod with amnesia. I don't remember who I am, where I live and where you are. But I wanted to do this to ensure you that I'm okay. It's been rough lately, but I was given a new name and being taken care of by some great people.
Christa held King close to her.
Christa: One is this little guy King, the other two are...
Christa wanted to bring Luz and Eda in also, but saw they were too busy crying.
Christa: Well, a great human Luz and a cool witch Eda. And I've been making new friends who've also been helping me my powers and some who've been helping me find my home. But there's more though. I seem to possess so much magic and I'm still getting the hang of it. I really want to meet you and learn more about myself. I just wanted to do this to let you know I'm here and okay. I just hope to meet you really soon so I can come back home with you.
We cut to the Mikela who was watching the stream on his penstagram. The dorodoros with him were weeping and wiping their eyes with tissues.
Mikela: Aww, that' so sweet. I hate sweet! I'm allergic!Achoo!
Selene: How can you look at your penstagram at a time like this? We just lost Raine!
Satarakura: Come on commrades, we can't give up now. He has to be around.
Shadam: I am able to sense his presence, he's not here anymore. He's long gone.
Voffa: But what about the Owl Lady and the Historian witch?
Selene: Forget them, Raine was our main target.
Then the heard they heard a russle in the bushes and saw Thomas all dirty and looking beat.
Voffa: And where have you been?
Thomas: Where, where's Eda?
Voffa: Gone! No thanks to you!
Thomas: What did I do?
Voffa: Had you helped us out 10 minutes ago, we would have had the three of them in our clutches.
Thomas: I got puked on and knocked out.
Mikela: Ugh, I can tell. You really stink.
Satarakura: You got puked on? Pfft, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Thomas: Shut up!
Selene: Don't you dare speak to us like that.
Shadam: We lost them because of you.
Thomas: Me,I'm the one who came up with the plan.
Voffa: And that failed. I knew we should never have trusted you with this mission! This is the second time you screwed me over!
Thomas: You know what? You want be that way old man? Fine. I don't need you. Hey King Brothers, lets go.
Thomas walked away but noticed the King Brothers not following.
Thomas: What are you waiting for? Come on.
Mikela: Oh ho what? You thought because you needed these two for you plan they belong to you.
The King Brothers grabbed hold of Thomas and brought him to them.
Mikela: My creations only obey me as long as I hold the staff and the Emperor. You... you're just dirt.
Thomas: Wait, what are you ...ah!
The King Brothers took Thomas away and dug a hole in the ground and buried Thomas in it, with only his head sticking out.
Thomas: Huh, what the?
Mikela: As I said, you're dirt.
Mikela kicks dirt at his face.
Shadam: Let's head back, we should report of what happened. Our fates belong to the Emperor now.
Shadam also kicked dirt at Thomas's face then leaves.
Selene: You disappoint me. I can't even stand to look at you. Come along Kaa.
Selene kicks dirt at his face then leaves.
Voffa: Thomas, you are officially dead to me. If I ever see you sneak into the castle again, I promise you will spend the rest of your days rotting in the coformatorium!
Voffa kicks dirt at Thomas's face and leaves. Now was Satarakura.
Thomas: Aren't you going to kick dirt at me?
Satarakura: Mmm, nah. Not funny enough. You know what's funny?
Satarakura takes a marker out.
Thomas: Don't you dare. No stop!
Satarakura draws all over Thoma's face like a dumb mustache, glasses and black dots supposed to be pimples.
Satarakura: Now that's funny.
Thomas: ( sarcastically) Oh ha, ha. Is that all?
Satarakura: Nope!
Satarkura forms what appears to be honey and smothers it all over Thomas.
Thomas: What is that honey?
Satarkura: Fire bee honey!
Thomas: What?
Satarakura took out a whistle and blew at it. Then they heard fire bees buzzing, coming to them being summoned by the call.
Satarakura: Just gonna leave this camera here. This is gonna be hilarious when I get back. Byyyyyyye!
Satarakura vanishes leaving Thomas.
Thomas: Wait no!
Thomas looked over as the fire bee's were coming at him.
Thomas: Not in the face. Not in the face!
Meanwhile at Emperor Belos Castle.
The Legion of Five reported to Emperor Belos of what had happened.
Emperor Belos: So you return with some of the captured rebels, but you failed to get the leader.
Shadam: My lord, the leader was none other than the Bard head Raine Whispers.
Emperor Belos: Is that so?
Selene: Yes, they've been plotting against you from the start and became head Bard to get to know more information about our...I mean your plans.
Voffa: But do not worry my Emperor. Just give us more time and we will execute them for their betrayal.
Emperor Belos: Hunt them down, but do not kill them.
Voffa: My lord?
Emperor Belos: The Day of Unity must come soon. If we killed them, it would be too much of a hassle to find a replacement. They will cooperate whether they want to or not.
Satarakura: Yes my Emperor we can do that.
Mikela: So then, you're not going to petrify us?
Emperor Belos: No, I won't. I must say, the five of you have accomplished a lot here. Especially you Selene Crimson.
Selene's eyes widened from Belos's praise.
Emperor Belos: You were wise to think there was a spy among us and there was. Have Kaa keep an eye all around. We must not have anymore traitors.
Selene: Yes Emperor Belos.
Emperor Belos: And Mikela.
Mikela also looked up at him in surprise.
Mikela: Yes my Emperor?
Emperor Belos: Let me see those Choju you made.
Mikela: Yes of course. King Brothers!
The King Brothers approached Emperor Belos and kneeled to him.
Mikela: Their horns need some time to grow back, but once they do, their hides will be strong again and will serve you.
Emperor Belos: I'm sure they will make excellent use to us. Make more of them.
Mikela: Yes, I will!
Shadam: My lord. What about the Owl Lady who was involved.
Emperor Belos: Nevermind her. She's a powerless witch, she's no threat to us. Just focus on getting Raine Whispers back.
Back at the Owl House.
Eda was standing outside, her arms crossed and looking at the sunset. She could here Archimedes coming to her from behind.
Archimedes: Hey, you okay?
Eda: Yeah just...today has been pretty eventful.
Archimedes: It sure was.
The two looked at each other for a moment, a bit nervous of what else to say.
Archimedes: ( sighs) Eda I'm sorry, for how I acted yesterday. It was uncalled for.
Eda: No you had every right reason.
Archimedes: What no. No one deserves to be yelled like that.
Eda: I've been a pretty terrrible girlfriend. I went with Raine on their rebellion, knowing it was going to get dangerous. But doing so, I put myself in danger and worrying everyone. I didn't consider how the girls, King or you would feel if I died. I was mainly thinking of myself.
Archimedes: You were trying to help an old friend of ours.
Eda: Yeah but, I nearly killed myself today thinking I had nothing left when I did. I understand if you want to break up with me.
Archimedes: Whoa wait. I never said I wanted to break up with you. I was just upset the other day and worried. Eda one of the reasons I got upset was because I know you were able to take care of yourself before because you were all powerful. But now that you're not, I felt you were more vulnerable and I had to be there to make sure you're okay.
Eda: Hey it's okay. I know you were trying to look out for me, but I'm capable of taking care of myself. I may not have magic ,but I still got brains some skill. I know when to back down when things get bad, well except when I almost died. But I'm sorry I worried you. It was selfish of me.
Archimedes: Yeah, but I should have trusted you more and um...and I was a bit jealous.
Eda: ( smirks) Oh so you were.
Archimedes: Yeah, why didn't you tell me you two used to date?
Eda: It was so long ago and didn't think you'd cared.
Archimedes: So, why did you break up with them?
Eda: I didn't. They broke up with me.
Archimedes: Why?
Eda: Because I wasn't truly honest with them, with my curse. I loved the times we had, but I didn't want Raine to get so close because...because I didn't want them to end up like you did.
Archimedes: Oh, I see. Eda, can you be honest with me on something.
Eda: Sure what?
Archimedes: Do you still have feelings for them and...
Archimedes's body shook.
Eda: And what?
Archimedes: Do you really love me or did you only date me because you felt sorry?
Eda: Whoa, hey listen. Raine and I had our moments, but that was then. We're just friends now. And to answer your second question...
Eda pulled him to her and kissed him. She wrapped her arms around his head as he held onto her.
Eda: I love you. If I didn't truly love you, the spell I was one would never have been broken. Archy I've always loved you since we were teens. You're smart, nobal, a bit shy and awkward at times.
Archimedes: ( blushes) No I'm not.
Eda: ( snorts)Yeah sure and supportive and kind. You're my Archy, never forget that and thanks for coming back.
Archimedes: Of course E. I couldn't leave you after what you've done for me.
Eda: By the way, you were so awesome out there. I don't think I've seen you at your max.
Archimedes: I uh... I was just focused on saving you.
Eda: Yeah, I just hope Raine is okay.
Archimedes: I'm sure they are. We'll see them again soon. You still worried about the kids?
Eda: Well not so much now, Luz and Chrissy I'll have to let go someday, but at least King is now my son.
Archimedes: Yeah, but what I was trying to say was, even if they do leave, you won't be alone. Because I'm here for you. Always.
Eda smiled at him and placed her hand over his cheek as he held onto her hand.
Eda: Thank you Archy.
Archimedes: Can you promise me one more thing.
Eda: Okay what?
Archimedes: If you're going to go on another crazy or dangerous adventure, let me be there to back you up.
Eda smiled and hugged him.
Eda: Of course Archy. So are we okay?
Archimedes replies to her with a kiss on her cheek.
Archimedes: We are.
Eda: Good, cause you still owe me my date. Which is tonight by the way.
Archimedes: You're right.
Archimedes picked up Eda up bridal style. She laughed as he held her.
Archimedes: Let's start it then.
Eda: ( laughs and snorts) Put me down.
Archimedes: Never! I'm carrying you to every place we go too. I'm taking you to dinner. I got a reservation for us than we're going to prank and pitpocket the vendors at the night market like we used to.
Eda: Oh since when did you become such a bad boy.
Archimedes: Since today I guess.
Meanwhile
Raine was packing what they need at their base. They couldn't stay there long, knowing they will be found soon.
Raine: I'm sorry I couldn't save you guys. I'll make it up to you. I promise.
Raine winched at the pain in their shoulder. They looked and saw bite marks caused by one of the King Brothers during his escape.
Raine: Those King Brothers really put up a fight.
Then he got the ointment bottle Eda gave them. She said it was from Matti. They read the directions and it said to apply on wound. They took some and did. It stung at first, but was healing him.
Raine: It's working. Matti made this huh? How thoughtful. I'll thank her next time I see her.
We then cut to a valley where a demon sitting by his carriage home was finishing watching the stream King and Christa did. But this demon, it resembled King, but as an adult, with curled ram horns, wings, and wore black robe with a yellow tunic.
?: King Clawthorne...so then, I'm not alone.

Author's Note: That's it for this chapter. Did have fun writing this two parter. I apologize if this was too different from the episode and if it upsets fans who mainly shipped Eda with Raine, I'll say this one more time Archimedes was being developed before Raine's debut and when they did come, I was torn whether to use him or Raine but not wanting to waist him, I ended up doing so. I also did want to bring Darius and Eberwolf, but there were already too many characters for me to handle. Also I'm not sure what the show has planned for King and that other demon who may or may not be his dad but I am working on my own origin.
