Chapter 35: The Titan Wars
Featuring Bat Choju, Battra and
Ice Lizard Choju, Neronga
Hipporit: Emperor Belos, I have recieved your message. I am here to serve you once again.
Emperor Belos: Happy to see you again.
Kikimora: Yes, I...I thought you retired from the Emperor's Coven.
Emperor Belos: I called Hipporit back as Captain of the guard. We are at our prime and want everthing to be great, especially witht he Day of Unity on it's way.
Hipporit: I will assist you in anyway I can.
Emperor Belos: You may leave and fulfill your tasks.
Hipporit gets up and exits the throne room. As he walked towards the hallway, he is approached by Selene from behind.
Selene: My, you still look great for you age.
Hipporit turns to Selene.
Hipporit: Selene.
Selene: It's been years sir.
Hipporit: It has. You've grown so much since last I've seen you. Being part of Legion of Five has made you strong.
Selene: It has.
Hipporit: But is it true? Lilith is no longer here?
Selene: She betrayed us. After everything the Emperor has done, she went rogue by helping her sister escape and the human that caused us trouble. Worst of all. She betrayed you. You entrusted her your posistion.
Hipporit: I thought...I thought she was worthy of it. Seeing how she progressed so fast at young age. But...
Hipporit clenched his fist and punched a pillar, causing it to crack.
Hipporit: I chose wrong! I thought Lilith was clever, brave and would make the coven stronger. Sadly, she was nothing more than a spinless coward and a traitor.
Selene: I am truly sorry for how you feel sir.
Hipporit: Never mind that now. But help me once more like you did Selene. I will make you big.
Selene: Bigger than part of the Legion of Five?
Hipporit: Someone who works close to the Emperor.
Selene: ( silent chuckles) I look forward working with you again sir...I mean, Captain Hipporit.
Selene leaves. Once she was gone, Hipporit made his way to another part of the castle. As he was making his way through the halls when he suddenly stepped on something.
Terra: Well, look who it is.
He looked and saw more plant vines form and opening up revealing to be Terra Snapdragon, head witch of the Plant Coven.
Hipporit: Terra.
Terra: Hipporit Vorst. Long time no see. I thought you'd retired from Coven Head.
Hipporit: I am not Coven Head anymore. I'm just captain now.
Terra: Well either way I thought I'd never see you again. Were you really going to work without saying hi to me?
Hipporit: I'm surprised you're still here. Not doubting your power and skill but...
Terra: What? You think I should have retired and miss out being the first to enter paradise when the Day of Unity comes? I don't think so.
Hipporit: Is there anything you need to report to me?
Terra: Can't I not say hello to an old friend. I see you're still good shape. You haven't aged a bit
Hipporit: My kinds life span is twice the amount a witch lives.
Terra: Well, I'm just hoping we find Sprout soon.
Hipporit: Sprout?
Terra: Raine Whispers. They've gone missing since word of their little resistance.
Hipporit: Ah that's right. Some good witches here are becoming rouge.
Terra: Well once we find them, I might be able to get them under control. Anyway I must get going, but we should catch up some time.
Hipporit: Perhaps. I too must get to some important work.
Terra: Don't work yourself too hard Hipporit.
Hipporit: That's Captain Hipporit to you head witch.
Terra leaves as Hipporit continues to his work. He soon made it to a room. First he looked behind to make sure he wasn't followed. He opened the door and closed it quickly. He was in some kind of record room with multiple cabinets.
Hipporit: Now time to find some answers.
Hipporit began browsing through. He kept looking until he found the file for Emperor Belos. He opened and found the typical information of how he ruled the Isles for 50 years and has the ability to talk to the Titan.
Hipporit: Same information, but what about Day of Unity? What is it?
Hipporit kept looking through the file but found nothing. He hoped to find a separte file on it, but still nothing.
Hipporit: I finally got my chance but still nothing. This can't be it. Someone must know more but... of course.
The next day
Luz was with Christa, Lilith and Seraphina in an outing in the woods. They were helping the two girls with a homework assignment to look for and observe plants in wildlife for plant track class.
Luz: Okay, let's see. Got two down. Still need to find three more wild plants to observe. You found anything yet Christa.
Christa: No, nothing that stands out. Why couldn't we get Willow to help us on this again?
Luz: She was busy with her own after school activities today. But we can do this one without her. It's not that hard.
Lilith: This is a good chance for the two of you to learn more about exotic plants here. It might seem hard, but trust me whenever you find something new it feels great. Atleast that's how it is with me.
Seraphina: Hey! Kilala found something.
They went over to Seraphina as her palisman Kilala (who was a lioness and much like Howl she was the size of a regular lion and had the ability to mass shift her body to a smaller size when in staff form) found another plant for the two to observe. It looked like flower. It had yellow pedals with red anthers sticking out.
Christa: Oh that looks pretty.
Seraphina: These are Gijera flowers. They look pretty and may smell nice, but that's what it wants it's prey to think.
Luz: It's prey?
Then a bug flew over and landed on the flower, which then suddenly closed up, devouring the insect and within seconds it opened up with nothing there.
Luz: Whoa, glad I'm not a bug or these things aren't big.
Christa: Actually you're right learning a new plant is pretty exciting. I didn't know you were this knowlegable with plants.
Seraphina: ( petting Kilala) Of coure, I spend a lot of my time in the wilderness. Other than looking after the wildlife, I like to observe plants as well.
Luz: Well we appreciate you coming over to help us.
Seraphina: Hey Kilala and I like to help you kids anyway we can. ( wraps arm around Lilith) Plus it also gives me an excuse to hang with my Lilith.
Lilith: ( chuckles) Stop it, not in front of the girls.
Seraphina: What? I can't express my love to you. You're as shy as you always were.
As the two kept talking, Christa suddenly sensed someting. Everything around her was tuned out and looked over to the other side. She didn't know what but something was telling her to go that way. She began to walk slowly away from the group. She also began to hear faint roaring sounds. Then something within her started to beat. It wasn't her heart she felt but something else. Was this somekind of call?
Luz: Christa. Hey Christa!
Christa snapped out of her trance and gasped as she turned to Luz.
Christa: Oh it's you Luz.
Luz: You okay. It looked like something was on your mind.
Christa: I'm fine it's just...did you hear something.
Luz: Like what?
Christa: Like...nevermind. Sorry I didn't mean to act weird.
Luz: Hey it's fine. That's the deal when living in the Owl House. As Eda says, us weirdos have to stick to together.
Christa: Ha, right.
Luz: Come on, let's head back before...
Then they heard the sound of a roar that sounded like a distored record scratching.
Luz: ( gasps) Battra! Get down!
Luz grabbed Christa's arm and pulled her behind a tree. They looked up and saw Battra flying over around the area roaring.
Luz: Was it him you heard?
Christa: No, definitly not that.
Then they felt the ground shake.
Christa: What's that!?
The ground bursted open and another choju, Neronga appeared. He was a large quadrapedal lizard about the size of a bear. He had orange scales and really large head. The head had features of a Jackson's chameleon with the horns and chamelon like eyes but did show off it's sharp teeth. The rest of the body resembled more of a komodo dragon but with spikes coming from the back to the tail. It emerged out of the ground shaking off the dirt and roared ( stock Barugon roar). Battra landed and roaring at Neronga as he roared back.
Luz: Oh great, more choju.
Christa: What are they doing?
Luz: I think they're talking?
They continued to watch the two ommunicate with each other.
Christa: What are they saying?
Luz: How should I know. But that's the least of our worries. Mikela must have sent them for us.
Christa: What do we do?
Luz: Don't panic. Let's back away slowly and quietly and find Lilith and Seraphina.
Christa nodded as the two quietly walked away. That was until a laser was fired right above there heads. The tree they hid behind was cut in half as Battra spotted the two, flapping his wings roaring as Neronga.
Christa: Oh no we're caught.
Neronga roared again as he approached the two. Christa formed a bunch of thorny vines and sent them at him. But then Neronga opened it's mouth and it's chameleon tounge shot out and from the tip of the tongue it let out an icy mist at the vines, it froze them instantly and then it used it's tounge again as a battering ram, destroying the frozen vines and hitting Christa into a tree.
Luz: Christa!
Luz was about to help her until Neronga breathed his icy mist at Luz. She took out a fire glyph and waved the fire in the air, melting the ice mist and making Neronga back away. He swung his tail at Luz which she dodged and placed an ice glyph on the ground, turning the floor into ice and making Neronga slip and fall. He kept slipping and falling until Christa punched the ground as a stone pillar came at Neronga, sending him back as a tree fell on him. As he tried to get out, Battra came at the two shooting his laser at Christa as she just dodged. That was until Luz used a plant glyph and formed a vine to shut his mouth shut, unable to use his laser and Christa using ice magic placed her hand on the ground as spikes of ice were coming at Battra, he backed away but not before as the spikes cut his body a little.
Luz: ( taking out invisible glyph) Christa, come to me let's...
But then and icy mist came at her from behind as Luz was frozen in place.
Christa: Luz!
Neronga freed came towards Luz about to shatter her into pieces until Christa fired a fire ball at his right horn, breaking it off as he roared in pain as Christa stepped in front of him shielding Luz.
Christa: I'm not letting you get to her.
But then she was knocked down by Battra who swooped down at her, he came down a second time but this time grabbed Luz and flew off with her.
Christa: Luz!
But the moment she wasn't paying attention, Neronga hit her with his tounge again. Christa was knocked down again, but then she sensed the presense again. The beating presence she felt within herself was telling her to go into the direction behind her. She looked back at Battra who was already far gone with Luz. She wanted to save her but there was nothing she could do at the moment and she was having trouble with this choju. Maybe it was telling her to go find help.
Christa: ( in her mind) I'll be back Luz.
Christa got up and ran as Neronga chased after her. Christa kept on running to whatever was calling her, until she made it the beach and it stopped.
Christa: Wait, why'd it stop. Where is this spot you want me to go...AH! Huh?
But then Christa stripped over something. She wasn't sure what at first until she felt her foot fall into something again. She looked down and saw her foot go through the sand. She kneeled down and saw this specific spot on the sand wasn't like the rest of the area but like a puddle of water. She took a stick and put it in as it went through.
Christa: What is this?
But then she heard Neronga's roar again as he finally found her. She felt the presense again and it was telling her to go in the puddle. With little choices left, she went into the puddle. She then found herself falling from the sky. Christa was screaming as she fell, but then quickly pulled out a levitation glyph and used it land saftly on the ground.
Christa: Phew, good thing Luz made that. But where am I?
Christa looked at her surrondings. It looks like she's back on the Boiling Isles but something was completely off. She was on top of the skull she thought but nothing looked decayed or anything, the whole body of the Titan look clean and fresh.
Christa: What happened to this place?
But then the whole isles began to shake. But what was even more bizare was that the isles itselft was moving. The legs were getting up as were the arms. Christa stood on top to the head just holding on as the whole body rose up. But then she fell as a large hand caught her from falling as she to her surprise was brought to the face of the living Titan. She just looked up in awe as the Titan looked down at her.
Titan: Who...are you?
Meanwhile in the present
Battra was still flying over the forest with a frozen Luz still in his clutches. He was on his way back to the castle to turn her in, when suddenly Seraphina on her staff appeared blocking his path.
Seraphina: Where do you think you're going with her?
Battra roared and fired his laser at her. Seraphina avoided some of his attacks, though one laser did almost cut her head, but instead cut her cheek and part of her hair and another one cut the side of her right arm, but it wasn't deep enough to hurt her. She formed a large spell circle as her eyes glowed orange. Suddenly a swarm of fire bees were coming towards Battra. The swarm surrounded him, burning and stinging him, making him drop Luz. Seraphina acted quickly and used her magic to catch Luz and hold her. She gently placed her back down as Lilith ran over to her.
Lilith: Oh Luz.
Lilith took out a fire glyph and used it to melt the ice. Seraphina was still dealing with Battra. He fired his laser again, cutting up a few of the fire bees but not enough to scare them off. He was only able to shoot up and down since he's unable to turn his neck side to side. Battra had no choice now but to flee as the swarm chased after him. Once he was gone, she landed back down with Lilith.
Seraphina: How is she?
Lilith: She's almost free, the ice is melting.
The ice melted and Luz was finally free, she lost balance for a moment as Lilith and Seraphina caught her from falling.
Lilith: Easy, we got you.
Seraphina: Luz are you okay? Where's Christa?
Luz: Chri...Christa! I was catching her from wondering off and then we were attacked by choju. ( gasps) She's still back there!
Seraphina: Take me to where you were attacked and let's hurry.
Luz got on Lilith with her staff as the three flew over to where the attack was.
Luz: There.
Luz saw the familiar area, with the broken trees and the large hole on the ground. They landed but there was no sign of Neronga or Christa.
Lilith: You sure this is it?
Luz: It is I recongize. But where's Christa?
A worried look formed on her face. Then she saw Seraphina walk around the area, kneeling down and looking at the ground.
Seraphina: Luz come here.
Luz: ( approaches her) What is it?
Seraphina: Lift your foot.
Luz: Um okay.
Luz did so as Seraphina took her foot and looked at the bottom of her shoe. She lets go and looks back at the ground.
Luz: What are you doing?
Seraphina: Look at the tracks on the ground. These are yours and over here is where you were frozen judging by the frost all around. The choju stood here and judging by these foot prints, these are Christa's. The choju was facing her and then she ran off that way.
Luz: Whoa girl, your a real detective.
Seraphina: Part of beast keeping involves tracking beasts. Examing the foot prints can tell you what they've been doing.
Luz: So it's like hunting skills.
Lilith: ( blushes and whispers) Oh, she's so cool when showing off her skills.
Seraphina: Come on. If we hurry we can catch up to her.
Meanwhile in the past.
Christa looked up at the Titan as he held her on her hand. The Titan was huge, very huge that it was no wonder his body made up the Boiling Isles. His skin was a charcoal grey and had big of a humanoid appearence. The boiling sea at the bottom only went up to his ankles. His head was a skull, much like King's but wasn't exactly canine shaped. It's eyes were a glowing blue and as it spoke, it never moved it's mouth. The tone of his voice had sort of a deep stoic and calm expression.
Titan: Who...are you? Where do you come from?
Christa: I...I don't really know to be honest.
Titan: You don't know?
Christa: Well, it's complicated. I woke up one day with no memory of where I came from or my name. Though my friends call me Christa.
Titan: Is that so. Then tell me Christa, did you originate from the stars?
Christa: The stars?
Christa looked up in the sky. Since she did fall from there, in a way she did but also didn't want to give too much away about the future.
Christa: I guess I did.
Titan: And what are you?
Christa: I'm a witch.
Titan: A witch? What is that?
Christa: Wait are there no witches here?
Titan: The only forms of life here are us Titans. Or what's left of us.
The Titan turned and looked over at the battle field. Christa looked and saw remains of other titan body parts all around.
Christa: What happened?
Titan: This is the result of our on going battle.
Christa let out a small gasp. She got it now. This was the Titan war she learned from Mr Hirata at school. Though it was theory, here it was confirmed.
Christa: A war you mean?
Titan: You could say that. It's been going on for years since I started it.
Christa: Wait, you started the war?
Titan: I did.
Christa: But why though?
Titan: Hmmm. I had to. I forsaw something in the future. I saw this world, becoming a dark world. Ruled by the Titan of Darkness.
Christa: Darkness?
Titan: He was going to warp this world into his own image and rule us as the Alpha with his legion of followers. I had to convince the others about this and though it took time, they ultimatly agreed. But sadly, I've lost many of my friends. They were all torn to pieces. We are now at the peak of the battle. I am one of the last two. My name is Ginga.
Christa: Ginga? So you have a name.
Ginga: Of course. But the other, the Titan of Darkness is still at large. The one I have to take down. His name is Keizer.
Christa's eyes widened at the name. Keizer as in the Titan of the Unknown Isles.
Christa: Keizer.
Ginga: I've encountered him many times, he's killed a majority of my friends, but not without me doing the same to his. But soon it will be time to settle this. Only one will be victorious. You should go back to where you came from Christa.
Christa: I would but...( looks up) I don't know how. Or I don't know if I can get back to my friends.
Ginga: I'm sure they will come find you soon.
Then they heard a roar from the distance ( stock 2019 King Ghidorah roar). Ginga looked and could vaguely see another Titan flying towards him.
Ginga: He's here. You must hide now.
Ginga placed Christa down to hand far from the battlefield.
Ginga: Stay here.
Christa: But what about you?
Ginga: This is what I was prepared for.
Ginga turned back and approached Keizer who had landed. Keizer was about as big as he was. His body was more monstrous. It was pure black red patterns on his body. His upperbody looked like armor but more organic as it was part of him. He had long sharp claws and a huge wing span. He had a long spear like tail. The head like Ginga was a skull and was a cross between a pteranodon and dragon though he was able to move his mouth when he spoke, with long horns, the eyes while hollow glowed and orange red, had a long neck and horns. But the most distinct feature about him was the giant third red eye in the abdomen.
Keizer: Ginga. So you actually came after all. Tell me, why throw away your life so recklessly?
Ginga: That's a question you should ask yourself Keizer.
Keizer: Hmph, you think you're a hero? Look around you! The near extinction of our kind and for what? Because you think I'm going to bring this world into ruins if I am made Alpha?
Ginga: Then stop what you're doing. There is no one to rule now.
Keizer: You are too soft for that posistion Ginga. It should go to someone more powerful, more feared, like me. But you and I know our remains will spawn new life. I will be worshipped as a god of a new world. But it's not just about power, it's to finally to settle the score with you. I always hated you Ginga. You always made me look bad, but now I will be the one to kill you.
Ginga: I would rather die than to serve you.
Keizer: So be it!
Ginga: One shall stand...
Keizer: And one shall fall.
The two Titan's roared as the ran up to each other about to fight.
Meanwhile in the present.
Seraphina lead Luz and Lilith to where Christa would be. They were getting close to the beach, but then they stopped.
Lilith: Why are we stopping?
Seraphina: Shh, somethings up ahead.
They looked from behind a bush and saw Neronga standing around in the beach, looking down.
Seraphina: Is that the choju that froze you?
Luz: Yeah that's him.
Lilith: Where's Christa though? ( gasps) You don't think that thing...ate her.
Seraphina: I don't think. If he ate or killed her, there should be blood or remains around. Also do you see the tracks? I see hers and suddenly it stops.
Luz: It stops? What do you mean?
Seraphina: I don't know, it just ends.
Lilith: But what is he doing? He's just standing there looking at the ground.
Luz: Does that mean she's underground? Buried?
Seraphina: Okay, you two wait here. I'll handle this thing.
Lilith: Seraphina you're not facing that thing alone.
Luz: Yeah you need us.
Seraphina: I can handle it. I wouldn't feel right if you got hurt Luz. Lilith you stay with her.
Lilith: Seraphina...
Seraphina: Lilith please!
Seraphina coverd her mouth, realizing she yelled too loud. Neronga turned over and saw the three and roared. Seraphina formed a spell circle and shot a magic beam that took the form of a lion at Neronga, hitting him and knocking him down. Her nails glowed and slashed them in the air letting out her slash waves at him. Neronga saw it coming and burrowed underground. Seraphina looked around trying to find him, until the ground bursted open and Neronga's tounge came at her leg. He threw her aside and as Seraphina got back up, he hit her with his tail.
Lilith: Hey! Don't you dare hurt my girlfriend.
Lilith used an ice glyph formed a few icicles at him. They pierced his body as Neronga roared and turned to Lilith. Next she used a plant glyph as thorny vines came at him. He opened his mouth and stuck his tounge out shooting his icy mist at the vines, again freezing them. He then lunged at Lilith, landing on top of her and pushing her to the ground as Neronga kept stomping on her. His weight was crushing Lilith and now he was about to bite down on her head, until Seraphina pushed him off with a blow from her hand which had a magic aura all around. She kneeled down and helped Lilith up.
Seraphina: Lilith.
Lilith: ( whinching) I'm fine.
Seraphina: I told you I got it.
Lilith: And I said you're not fighting alone.
Seraphina: Why won't you listen to...
Luz: Guys!
The two looked but then were both frozen by Neronga's mist.
Luz: That does it.
Luz used air glyph and formed a powerful blow of wind and blew Neronga into the water of the boiling sea, but it seemed it didn't do much to harm him. Luz was about to get another glyph when suddenly she tripped. She looked down and saw her foot faze into a specific spot in the sand. She put her foot in again and went through.
Luz: What?
Before she could further question, Neronga was running at her about to attack. Luz was about to get another glyph to use, but then to her surprise a new figure appeared in front of it, it was Hipporit who punched the choju aside.
Luz: What? Who...
Hipporit: No time for introductions. Free those two!
Hipporit ran towards Neronga and continued to fight. Luz confused, did as he said and ran over to a frozen Lilith and Seraphina. She used a fire glyph and kept it close to them as they thawed out.
Seraphina: Wha...What happened?
Luz: I don't know, this guy suddenly showed up.
Lilith looked over and saw him.
Lilith: Hipporit?
We cut back to Hipporit fighting Neronga. Hipporit headlocked Neronga, hitting on the head mulitple times until Neronga's tail flew up hitting him off. Neronga was about to freeze him with his icy mist, but when he did Hipporit counterattacked it by breathing fire at the mist, instantly disintergrating it. Neronga stepped back and then lunged at him. Hipporit dodged and kicked him aside. Neronga then used his battering ram tounge to attack, but Hipporit caught the tounge. The two had a tug of war as they tried to pull each other back. Hipporit then riased his free hand as it glowed blue and karate chopped the tounge off. Neronga retracted what was left of his tounge as it screamed in agony and bled from his mouth. Hipporit reached his arm out as it again glowed blue and shot three crescent shaped projectiles at Neronga's head, exploding upon impact. Neronga fell to the ground dying, Hipporit finished him off by grabbing his tail and swung him around and throwing him into the pit he emerged from and breathing fire into it and bursts into flames. With Neronga gone he turned over to Lilith and Seraphina.
Lilith: I don't believe it. Hipporit?
Hipporit: It's good to see you again Lilith.
Then they looked over at Luz who was searching the ground until she found the spot she discoverd.
Luz: Guys over here.
The three of them approached Luz.
Seraphina: What is it?
Luz: Look ( puts her hand through). I think that's what he was looking at.
Lilith: It must be a time pool.
Luz: A time pool?
Lilith: They're puddles that act as access windows into the past. Christa must have went in.
Luz: Wait so she's in the past?
Hipporit: Look inside. Do you see your friend?
Luz put her head through. She was confused about her surroundings until realizing she was in the sky. Then she heard loud roars. She looked down and saw two collosal creatures fighting.
Luz: Whoa, what's going on over there?
She looked down at one of the detached hands and could barely make it out, but she saw Christa watching the fight.
Luz: Christa. Hey Christa! Hey, hello! Christa!
But she was too far down and Christa couldn't hear her. Luz pulled back out and gasped.
Seraphina: What did you see?
Luz: She's there, but she's too far down.
Meanwhile in the past.
Ginga roared and punched Keizer across the face. Keizer fell back as Ginga yelled, letting out a familiar looking sonic wave attack. Keizer flew up in the sky to dodge. His claws began to glow red as he slashed the air letting out giant red slash waves. Ginga cancled the attack by letting out another sonic wave. Keizer growled and flew down Ginga. His claws sinked into Ginga's arms and then bit down onto his right shoulder. Ginga roared as Christa watched in worry. Ginga broke free of his grasp and grabbed Keizer's neck, strangling him as bluish foamy substance was forming in his mouth. Keizer's mouth began to glow red as he shot an energy blast at Ginga's face letting go of him. Ginga quickly recovered and shot a white beam at Keizer. Keizer was hit and fell back. Before he could get up, Ginga stomped onto the eye on his abdomen, but something was blocking it. There seemed to be somekind of invisible shield around it. He then placed his foot on his chest above the eye and stomped his other foot on Keizer's spear tail.
Keizer: Ha, you think it's that easy to destroy my eye.
Ginga: I didn't expect it to be.
Ginga aimed his hand above his eye as he charged an attack. Keizer's eyes widened as he tried to lift Ginga's foot off his chest but wouldn't budge.
Ginga: This ends now Keizer.
Keizer: NO! You shall not kill me! RAURGH!
Keizer's chest eye began to glow and his attack charged faster and a red beam shot at Ginga, flying him off of him.
Christa: Ginga!
Ginga however was weakening. Keizer slowly approached him. He grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up to his face.
Keizer: As I said, you are not fit as the Alpha Titan. That's why I must take control.
Keizer then forced open Ginga's bottom jaw as Keizer opened his mouth above his. His horns began to glow as another attack was charging in his mouth. He was about to win, but then he was hit by a powerful blast. Keizer lets go of Ginga roared from the pain.
Keizer: Who did that?!
Keizer looked over and saw Christa. Her eye and gem were glowing as a white aura formed around her body and her hair flowing up.
Christa: Get off of him!
Christa yelled again and fired another white blast at Keizer, knocking him down. Keizer was on his knees, his body shaking from the intense power.
Keizer: ( in his mind) What is this? That power? It's just like Ginga's but...but how can a lowlife form like her possess this kind of power. ( outloud) So, you wish to challenge me? The most powerful Titan in the world?
Christa just stared at him without saying a word.
Keizer: Hmm, then you can joing Ginga on his way to Hell!
Keizer then used his next attack. A black and red energy beam he shot from his mouth at Christa. The beam came right at Christa and it seemed to have destroyed her and the whole hand. But the smoke cleared up and a large white orb was floating in the air. Keizer eyes widened as inside the orb, Christa was there floating inside of it. Keizer looked confused but then Ginga came back up headlocked Keizer.
Ginga: I will not allow you to spill any more blood.
Ginga raised his free hand as it began to glow white.
Ginga: Give me...your eye!
Ginga jabbed his hand into Keizer's abdomen, this time the power in his hand broke the barrier as he got hold of Keizer's eye. Keizer grunted as he felt Ginga gouging his eye. Blood was oozing out of Keizer's abdomen until Ginga pulled his arm out with Keizer's eye still in his hand and throwing it away Keizer let out a painful roar as he fell to his knees.
Ginga: It is over Keizer. You're finished.
Keizer: No...
But then Keizer's tail flew up and stabbed Ginga from the back as it came out through his chest. Ginga also roared in agonzing pain.
Keizer: If I die, I'm taking you with me!
Christa: No!
Keizer pulled his tail out and Ginga fell onto his back, in the posistion he would be when making up the isles. Keizer spread his wings and flew up with very little strength as his hands coverd his wound.
Keizer: Ginga...I will see you again soon...in Hell.
As Keizer flew away, Christa's power was fading. She landed on top of Ginga's head as she looked down with a sad look.
Christa: Ginga.
Ginga: Chr...Christa...do not grieve over me.
Christa: But, your the last of your kind.
Ginga: My time has come. I did what had to be done. Even if it meant costing my own. But even if I am dead...I will not truly be gone. When we die, our bodies make new life. At least I can die knowing I left the world at peace. But the age of Titans isn't truly gone.
Ginga slowly raisded his hand up and pointed at the sky. He then let out a white light into the sky as it disappeared.
Christa: What was that?
Ginga: I may die...but my legacy will live on. One day...a new Titan will be born. One who shares my power. My reincarnation...my...my son. If the time comes, he will help bring balance to this world and protect it. You...there is also something special about you.
Christa: My powers I know. I don't truly understand them.
Ginga: You have a power...a familiar power. One that is so strong that it could change the world. But you must use it wisely and responsibly. Use it for the good.
Christa: I know. And I will.
Back in the present.
Luz tied a long vine around her waist as Hipporit tied it to a tree and Lilith and Seraphina held onto it.
Lilith: You sure this is safe.
Luz: Don't worry this is sturdy. Just lower me down slowly and when I give a tug, that's your queue to pull me up.
Seraphina: Alright, we got you.
Luz nodded as she went down the time pool as the three of them lowered her down. Luz was coming down and as she got closer, she saw Christa on Ginga's head.
Luz: Christa! Hey!
Christa: Luz?
Luz: Up here!
Christa looked up and saw Luz coming down for her and smiling.
Christa: Luz!
Luz: Hold on. I'm getting you out of here.
But soon the vine just stopped. It seemed it wasn't long enough considering the distance from the sky to the ground.
Luz: Oh no.
Christa: What's wrong?
Luz: It's not long enough. Don't freak out. I'll try again, I'll make a new one and...whoa!
Luz saw Ginga's arm move and takes Christa up.
Luz: Is that the Titan?
Christa: Ginga.
Ginga: It seems your friends have come for you. Go back to where you came from.
Christa: But...
Ginga: Go...
Once Ginga had his arm up, she was close to Luz as she held onto her.
Luz: Just hang onto me, I got you.
Luz tugged onto the vine as they were being pulled up. As they were being pulled up, Ginga's arm fell back down as Christa looked back at him with a sad look.
Christa: Ginga.
Ginga: Thank you Christa...for being the last one I talk to...
Ginga let out a soft groan as his eyes dimmed out, finally dying. Soon they made it out of the time pool.
Lilith: Oh thank Titan. Christa are you okay.
Seraphina: Are you hurt?
Hipporit: Give her some space. Do not crowd.
Christa: I'm fine. Really, I'm fine.
Luz: Christa, what happened right there and the Titan?
Lilith: Hold on what?
Christa: It's a long story.
Little while later.
Christa explained to everyone what she saw in the time pool.
Luz: Wait so that was the Titan Wars we learned from school?
Seraphina: You actually met the Titan witnessed it's battle.
Christa: He has a name. It's Ginga.
Lilith: The Titan's name is Ginga? That...that is completely unheard of. No one knew that? Not even Belos.
Hipporit: But the Titan is dead though right?
Christa: Yes.
Hipporit: Good, because if you changed the past where he lived, we wouldn't exist.
Christa: I know, but who are you again?
Luz: Yeah and how do you know Lilith?
Lilith: Oh Luz, Christa this is Hipporit Vorst. He's the former head witch of the Emperor's Coven before me. We worked together before he passed the title to me.
Hipporit: I've heard a lot about you two. The human who crossed over into this world and faced the Emperor and the young witch with unknown power. Glad to finally meet you face to face.
Luz: Whoa what?! He's your mentor?
Christa: Yeah and...wait you said he's part of the Emperor's Coven?
Hipporit: Calm yourselves. I assure you that I am not your enemy. I was called back by Emperor Belos as captain of the guard, but I am not here to fight you. I was looking for you Lilith.
Lilith: Me?
Hipporit: So it's true. You really did leave the coven.
Lilith: Well... I mean yes but... ( sighs) I know you must be disspointed in me. After everything we went through together, how you entrusted me with the job, I left it because of Belos's lie and helped Luz save my sister. Are you here to turn me in?
Hipporit: Normal circumustances I would. But I am not. To be honest, I'm glad you're no longer working for him.
Lilith looked at him surprised.
Lilith: Really? Why?
Hipporit: I didn't want to view you as an enemy. I have a confession to make Lilith. I worked my way to be head witch to gain more information on Belo's plan of Day of Unity. Always he said this was supposed to be event where us witches and demons in covens would gain access to a new world of paradise, free of wild magic. But I always felt it was too good to be true. And his ability to talk to the Titan? I don't buy it.
Lilith: You think it's all false?
Hipporit: I found it hard to believe. But seeing how this girl met the Titan and knows his name, how come he doesn't know or never said anything. I know he's hiding something from us.
Luz: Well that's something we can agree on.
Hipporit: Most of the time I never got the chance to look into it and had to help with his work. Rounding up innocents, forcing them into covens and petrifiying those who are deemed wild. I've killed so many under his rule. Where is the honor in that? Other times when I did have the chance to search, I found nothing. But when I was called back, I felt I was given a second chance. As of now I still haven't learned anything new. Or perhaps I did thanks to you Christa. He could lying about the Titan. But now comes the reason I wanted to find you Lilith. What do you know about Day of Unity?
Lilith: I...I hate to break it to you, but I don't know any better than you. I was told the same thing. To be honest, I just followed him without question for years until recently.
Hipporit: Hmm, I see. So what is that you are doing now?
Lilith: Just been making amends with the people I hurt. I'm living with my sister, I've been spending time with my new nieces here, Luz and Christa.
Christa: By the way. Coolest auntie ever.
Luz: Very cool.
Lilith: I've also got back with Seraphina here.
Seraphina: Hello.
Lilith: Oh and thanks to Archimedes, he got me a job at the Supernatural Museum of History as assistant curator. I'm working on my own exhibit about the architectural history behind Deadwardian balusters. I'm so excited to show it off when it's done. Oh but I'm sorry I don't have anything useful to share.
Hipporit: No need for apologies. I'm glad you're doing better. But I must go. I'll be questioned soon for being gone for too long. Listen, be sure to expect some choju attacks. But if you ever need my assistance, Lilith knows how to contact me. Farewell.
Hipporit's body flashes and teleports away.
Luz: Lilith, can we really trust him?
Lilith: We can. He may work for the Emperor, but he's an honorable ally and friend.
Christa then looked over at Ginga's skull. To think she'd actually met the Titan. Though she felt sorry that he died, she had to understand that's how things are. Without him, no one she would know here would exist.
Christa: Ginga...
Later.
Hipporit was walking through the castle halls. He was passing by Emperor Belos throne room. He approached the door and looked around the room to make sure no one was and placed his ear over, hoping to overhear some secrets. But he quickly backed away when the doors opened, coming out was Hunter.
Hipporit: ( clears throat) Ah, the latest Golden Guard and new leader of the coven.
Hunter: Oh uh former head witch Hipporit. Or Mr. Vorst. Uh sorry, what do I...
Hipporit: Address me as Captain Hipporit. It's my new position.
Hunter: Uh right Captain. Were you about to enter or...
Hipporit: No, no just passing by and resuming my duty.
Hunter: Wait, wait. Um listen. I've read all about you. How you were always the strong and feared demon of the coven. I'm just wondering, but do you have any advice regarding leading.
Hipporit approached Hunter and placed his hand on his shoulder.
Hipporit: Just know two things. Number one, you show the scouts and others who is the one in charge here. Do not let others step all over you. And number two, be on a look out for those with potential. They have bright futures and are destined for greatness and become your best allies.
Hunter: Oh, well I'll keep those in mind thank you sir.
Hunter turned around and left. But then he felt the pain in his chest again. He grunted as he held his chest. He quickly took out the pills and swallowed one of them to stop it.
Hipporit: Are you alright?
Hunter: I'm good. Just a cramp.
Just as Hunter was leaving, a large abomination appeared behind Hipporit and engulfed him as he struggled out.
Moments later he's freed and finds himself at the top of the castle.
Hipporit: What is the meaning of this!?
Darius: Finally we're alone.
Hipporit looked over and saw Darius and Eberwolf.
Hipporit: Darius, Eberwolf! What is this?
Darius: We've noticed your behaviour around the castle, snooping around record room and trying to evesdrop the Emperor and leaving your position to make contact with old friends. We know what you're trying to do.
Hipporit raises his hands as formed a few spell circles about to fight.
Darius: Let me finish. We know what you're doing and we want in.
Eberwolf responds also with a growl as Hipporit lowers his arms confused.
Hipporit: Come again.
Darius: You're not the only one who thinks this Day of Unity junk sounds suspicious. Eber and I think the same thing. But now seeing how you think this, perhaps we can do something about it.
Hipporit: If that's the case, than shouldn't we talk to the others as well?
Darius: They won't believe us. They're blinded by his flattery and promise of a new world. Especially Terra. You're lucky it was me who caught you instead.
Hipporit: I know, she along with Selene are very crafty. But I don't know. How do I know you're not luring me into a trap?
Darius: I'm not lying to you. I want to know more and stop it if this is bad. I know he's hiding something. I know he had something to do with his disappearence!
Hipporit: Who's disappearence?
Darius eyes widened when he let that slip and looked away.
Darius: The previous Golden Guard.
Hipporit: Ah, I remember him. He was a strong, intelligent and honorable witch. You looked up to him I remembered, until he disappeared.
Darius: I know Belos had something to do with it. I remember overhearing a arguement from behind the throne room doors. It was hard to make out but I swear I remembered something of Belos saying he saw too much. I was young and too scared to do anything. And because of that I never saw him again.
Hipporit approached Darius and reached his hand for a hand shake.
Hipporit: I can see the pain in your eyes. Very well, let's work together.
Darius smiles and shakes his hand, Eberwolf growls and places his hands on theres.
Darius: So what now?
Hipporit: First we need more help. I know a couple others who'd join us. One is an old friend of mine. He's a school teacher at Hexside but he used to work here with Dr. Cushing. The other is the new Head Bard.
Darius: Raine Whispers? But they haven't been see for weeks.
Hipporit: I will find them. I'm sure they'd want in on this and would like someone from the inside.
Meanwhile in the past.
After the brutal battle with Ginga, Keizer fell to the ground. He fell flat down on his stomach and his body was in the position as he would be for the Unknown Isles. He was dying from his wounds.
Keizer: How could I have lost? I...I had it...
Then he remembered Christa. He was about to kill Ginga until he was hit by Christa.
Keizer: That girl...how does she have access to that kind of power. She's not an ordinary one. Is this really...really the end for me.
Keizer's eyes suddenly lit up, as he was forseeing something.
Keizer: I...I will return. Yes... it may take centuries, but I can see it. My reign will not end. And the best part...Ginga will not be there. As for that girl...ha...haha...I will see you again soon.
Keizer groaned as his eyes finally dimmed and died of it's wounds.
