Chapter 36: Life Full of Regrets

Teen Lilith snuck back home. She snuck out of the house late to the Night Market, to find something that would help her for tomorrow. Tomorrow was her duel with Eda to see who would get the last position for the Emperor's Coven. This was Lilith's dream to be part of it, but Eda took her magic seriously and was most likely more powerful than she was. Eda would surely win she thought, that's why she went out to find something to slow her down. She found a scroll which contained a curse. She thought it would power her down temporarly. She now stood in front of Eda's bedroom door with the curse in her hand. Part of her felt wrong for cheating like this, but she was so desperate for this. She worked too hard for it and doesn't know what else to do if she lost.
Teen Lilith: ( sighs) It's just temporary, it's okay. I'm sorry dear sister.
Lilith opened the door. She saw Eda sleeping soundly in bed. She got the curse ready as she was about to cast it on her.
Teen Eda: Lily?
Lilith gasped when she saw Eda waking up and hid the curse behind her back.
Teen Lilith: Eda. You're awake.
Teen Eda: I am now. What are you doing here?
Teen Lilith: Oh uh...I...I...I couldn't sleep and came to check if you were okay.
Teen Eda: Is something wrong?
Teen Lilith: It's nothing.
Teen Eda: No I see that look. Come here.
Eda sat up and patted the side of her bed for Lilith to sit next to. Lilith did so and sat next to her sister.
Teen Eda: So what's up?
Teen Lilith: Well...Edalyn, we've been practing and studying magic a lot lately. But you seem to be more into it.
Teen Eda: Yup, I like to take my skills to the extreme.
Teen Lilith: Right, but you and I, we both want to join the Emperor's Coven. Thinking we could really make a difference as the Clawthorne Sisters, but it seems only one of us can enter and...
Teen Eda: Yeah?
Teen Lilith: This is going to sound selfish of me, but can you please let me win? I know, it's selfish that I even ask this. But it's my dream and...
Teen Eda: Is that it? Pffft, hahahaha!
Teen Lilith: This isn't a joke. I'm being serious.
Teen Eda: I know. Lily if it makes you feel better, I was going to forfeit the match.
Teen Lilith: What?
Teen Eda: I'm not going to fight my own sister. It's not worth it to me.
Teen Lilith: But you wanted this too.
Teen Eda: Eh I decided covens aren't really my thing. It holds back my bad girl instincts.
Teen Lilith: You really mean it.
Teen Eda: ( places hand on shoulder) Hey, I kow how much this means to you. I saw how hard you were studying for this and if only one of us can enter, than I want to be you. Just do me a favor and try not to miss me when you become a big shot, okay sis?
Lilith smiled and hugged Eda tight.
Teen Lilith: Thank you, thank you Eda! You're the best sister ever.
Teen Eda: Okay, alright. Don't get all mushy on me. But it's what I do.
Teen Lilith: I mean it. I'm so glad we talked about this, because I was probably about to do something I would probably regret.
Teen Eda: I know.
Lilith looked at her with a confused look.
Teen Eda: And I forgive you.
But then Lilith woke up. She woke up with a gasp and sat up. She looked around the area and was in her room at the Owl House. Everything that just happened was all a dream. A what if scenario it looked like. But one she wished happened as Lilith broke down crying.
The next day.
( taking place not long after the last chapter)
Luz, Christa, Lilith and Seraphina finally made back to the Owl House after everything that happened today and saw Eda outside.
Eda: There you guys are. Whoa, what happened to you four? You look like you got beat up and look a little cold.
Luz: It's a long story Eda.
Christa: Yeah, saw a lot of things today.
Eda: ( sighs) Alright, come inside and tell mama everything.
Lilith: I'll be right in.
The three of them went back inside, leaving Lilith and Seraphina outside.
Lilith: Seraphina, can we talk?
Seraphina: Sure, about what?
Lilith: What was all that earlier?
Seraphina: What was what?
Lilith: You were pushing me away from the fight.
Seraphina: I had the situation under control.
Lilith: Really? You had it under control. Like when that choju was beating you down.
Seraphina: I would have gotten out?
Lilith: No, if I didn't step in there, you would have been crushed.
Seraphina: If you hadn't stepped in, we both wouldn't have gotten frozen.
Lilith: So you're saying it's my fault?
Seraphina: I didn't say that. Is it so wrong that I'm looking out for you?
Lilith: There's a difference between looking out for someone and pushing someone who wants to help fight.
Seraphina: You shouldn't be anywhere near the fight.
Lilith: Why because I don't possess my own magic anymore?
Seraphina: Yes!
Lilith looked at her with a hurtful look. Seraphina's tensed face softened up after realizing what she just said and reached her hand to Lilith.
Seraphina: Lilith I...I didn't mean it like that.
Lilith however turned away and frowned.
Lilith: I'm tired. Bye Seraphina.
Lilith walked back into the house, not turning to look back at Seraphina. She didn't want her to see her sad look as Seraphina watched her leave feeling bad of what she said. She wanted to persue and assure her it wasn't what she thought, but it has been a long day and thought maybe she should leave Lilith alone for now.
Hooty: Hey Lulu, you okay?
Lilith: ( glum) Not now Hootsifer.
Lilith just opened the door and entered.
Inside
Eda: What? The five have sent choju after you?
Luz: Yeah, and I think we should be expecting some frequent attacks.
Eda: ( groans) So now the five are sending monsters to do their dirty work. I knew I should have come.
Christa: Don't blame yourself Eda. We atleast had help from Lilith's friend.
King: Yeah I was about to ask. You got help from somone who works for the Emperor? Can you even trust him?
Luz: Lilith said we could and he's trying to find out more about the Day of Unity.
Christa: And he follows a strict code of honor.
King: Yeah, a lot of people say that to trick others.
Eda: Well if Lilith trusts him, I guess we could. But I'll fully decide that when I meet him. I mean we still don't know what the Day of Unity is so he could help. But anyway Chrissy, you said you fell into a timepool?
King: And you actually met the Titan?
Christa: His name is Ginga.
Eda: Wow, Belos should really eat his heart out. Still this is really odd.
Luz: Why because she went back in time?
Eda: No. Time pools are hard to come by but can allow you to access to the past. Archy told me how he does his work and how historians would locate these to learn some history. He and I used to search for those as kids. But the fact you discovered a time pool that went as far back as the creation of the Boiling Isles is unheard of. Sure there's the theory of the Titan Wars , but no one really knew what the Titan looked like alive nor did they know of his name.
Luz: Does Belos even know his name?
Eda: He never made mention of it. So maybe he is lying. Anyway, you all look exhausted. Go upstairs and freshen up, oh and give King his flea bath.
Luz: Alright, come on King.
King: Aw, I don't want to take a bath.
Christa: King we're not doing this again.
King: You can't make me!
Eda: Alright, that's fine. No dinner then.
King: Uh, fine!
Luz picks up King and goes upstairs as Christa follows. Once they were gone, Hooty enters.
Hooty: Uh Eda. I think Lulu is having another one her depressive episodes.
Eda: Ah geez.
Eda runs to the kitchen and see's Lilith taking out a tub of ice cream out of the freezer.
Eda: Hey!
Lilith gasps seeing her.
Eda: No, put that back.
Lilith: But I need it.
Eda: No you don't.
Eda goes up to Lilith and grabs the ice cream as the two comedically struggle for it.
Eda: I just bought that yesterday at the night market and it's for celebrated purposes only.
Lilith: It's the only thing that comforts me.
Hooty comes in and pulls her away as Eda takes the ice cream and puts it back in the freezer.
Eda: What's wrong with you Lily?
Eda's annoyed look however softened when she saw how upset Lilith looked as Hooty lets go of her and she sits down. Eda took a seat next to her and placed her hand on her shoulder.
Eda: Hey, what's wrong?
Lilith: I got into bit of a fight with Seraphina.
Eda: Oh, what happened?
Lilith: Today when we faced that choju, Seraphina kept trying to put me aside during the fight. She thinks I'm weak.
Eda: Whoa hey that's not true.
:Lilith: She flat out said I shouldn't be anywhere near the fight because I'm powerless.
Eda: I'm sure she didn't mean it.
Hooty: And you're not powerless Lulu. You're the coolest witch and friend I know. Have you seen your own skills with glyphs. You made an amazing ice sculpture of me. I bet Eda can't do that! Hoot! Hoot!
Eda: ( glares at Hoot) Yeah thanks Hooty. ( to Lilith) But he's right. You were a fast learner when Luz was teaching us glyph magic.
Lilith: Thanks, but Seraphina...
Eda: She doesn't think your weak. I know she didn't mean that. Archy and I sometimes fight, yet it's because he's concerned about me. We haven't spent time with either one of them for years and they're still trying to get to know the new us. I'll help you talk to her about it okay.
Lilith: I guess.
Lilith just hugged Eda tight as she hugged her back.
Lilith: Thank you Edalyn I... I don't deserve a sister like you..
Eda: Hey of course you do.
Lilith: Really? You seriously forgive me after what I've done.
Eda: Hey, forget all that. I know how sorry you are and you are trying to make it up to me. You're still my sister and I can never bring myself to hate you. We've been buds since kids, we'll stay that way until we die.
Lilith: Thank you Eda, but still. I want to be more help.
Lilith's eyes widened, having an idea.
Lilith: Actually Edalyn, I want to know. How did you gain your harpy powers?
Eda: Why?
Lilith: If you gained from your curse and now that I share that curse, maybe I can do it too.
Hooty: Uh, you sure about that Lulu?
Eda: There's a way but I don't know if you can handle it. This is intense. Pyschologically intense as it will involve revisiting unpleasant memories and fears.
Hooty: Yeah and I promised to never use the sleeping nettles on anyone ever again.
Lilith: But I want to improve. I want to show I can still be strong. Please Edalyn, show me how.
Eda looked away for a moment and then grabbed Lilith's arms giving her a firm and serious look.
Eda: Are you absolutly sure about this? You dead serious?
Lilith: I've never been more serious in my entire life.
Eda: ( sighs) Okay. Hooty get the sleeping nettles ready.
Later.
Everyone was in the living room as Lilith and Eda sat together on the couch. Hooty arrived with a pouch of sleeping nettle dust and handed it to Luz.
Luz: Alright, here it is.
Eda: Alright kiddo. Take a pinch and throw it at our faces and let us sleep the night. If we hold hands, I should be able to go with Lily into her dream and guide her. You guys just keep an eye on our bodies and if any emergency happens, wake me up.
Lilith: You're okay with this?
Eda: Hey I already did my part, it's you I'm worried about. This is your last chance to back out.
Lilith: I'm not backing out. If you can do it, so can I. Everyone I just want to be clear that no matter how much you see me scarred in my sleep, you let me sleep.
Eda: Alright. Do it Luz.
Luz: Alright.
Luz opens the bag and takes some of the dust.
Luz: Good night guys and be careful.
Luz throws the dust at their faces as Eda and Lilith fell asleep.
King: Well they're knocked out now.
Christa: So now what?
Luz: Now we wait for them to wake up.
The three of them stood there for a minute as nothing happens.
King: Okay I'm starting to get bored.
Christa: Yeah me too.
Luz: You guys want to have a slumber party.
Christa: ( shrugs) Don't see why not.
King: OOH! Let's get that premium ice cream Eda won't let us eat!
Hooty: And I'll get my book of scary stories!
In the dream world.
Lilith's eye's opened. She found herself in the Owl House, still sitting down. Although it did look a bit different as it was more grayish or had dull like colors.
Lilith: Is this it? Edalyn? Edalyn where are you?
Eda: I'm right here.
Lilith turned to her left and saw Eda next to her.
Lilith: Oh good your here too.
Eda: Yeah looks like it worked. Come on.
Eda took Lilith's hand as they walked around the house. It was completely empty and the dull atmosphere made it a bit unsettling.
Lilith: What am I supposed to do again?
Eda: You need to come to terms with your problems. When I did this I accepted the curse was a part of me. Though I did have to face off the Owl Beast.
Lilith: So I have to face off my part of the curse then?
Then they heard scratching sound. They looked behind and saw a shadowy figure. They couldn't tell who it was at first since, but did tell they had a feminine figure. They saw her nails scratching across the wall as she finally stepped into the light, revealing to be Selene.
Selene: Well, well. If it isn't you Lilith.
Lilith: Selene?
Eda: That can't be. How is she here?
Selene: Oh Eda. You should know where ever your sister goes. I go as well.
Lilith: You have no right to be here.
Eda: That's right Selene. Beat it before I kick your...
Selene: Whoa Eda. Are you really defending your own sister. After what she did?
Eda: That doesn't matter.
Selene: Doesn't matter? Perhaps the two of you need a reminder.
Selene raised her arms as she changed the environment. Eda and Lilith now saw they were in their old home, more specifically outside Eda's old bedroom and they saw Lilith's teenage self at the front of the door, holding the curse.
Teen Lilith: ( sighs) It's just temporary, it's okay. I'm sorry dear sister.
Lilith: No don't! Stop!
Lilith tried to grab her younger self to keep her from cursing her sister, but Lilith just fazed right through her.
Lilith: No, no!
Eda: Lilith stop. You can't change the past here. These are just your memories.
Lilith: No please! I can't let myself do this again.
Eda: Lilith relax.
Then they heard Selene's voice. She was no where to be seen.
Selene: Oh but you did do it Lilith. You really thought it was just a harmless power down for her? Oh, but you had no idea the consenquences the next day. Remember.
The environment changed again. Now they were standing near the ring of their witches duel to see who would win to be in the Emperor's Coven. They saw their young selves standing in the ring about to duel. Teen Lilith ran up to Teen Eda about to fight, until Eda forfeited.
Teen Eda: No.
Teen Lilith stopped at her tracks confused.
Teen Eda: I refuse to battle my sister.
Teen Eda approached her sister who still had a confused look.
Teen Eda: I decided covens aren't really my style.
Teen Lilith: Edalyn...
Teen Eda: Hey don't forget me when you're a big shot sis.
And just when Teen Eda left the ring, she grunted as she transformed into the Owl Beast for the first time. Teen Lilith gasped and covered her mouth as present Lilith looked at her and remembered how unexpected this was. She didn't expect Eda to forfeit. That would mean she cursed her for nothing, but what's worse was the curse itself. She thought was only to make her her drain her power for a short time, but it was more than that. It caused her own sister to turn into a monster. As the audience gasped, as Satarakura starts throwing rocks at her.
Satarakura: What a freak! A freak I tell you! Bahahahahaha!
Teen Lilith: No, stop!
The rest of the scouts started booing and throwing rocks at her as well as Owl Beast Eda roared at them and ran away.
Teen Lilith: Edalyn!
Teen Lilith tried to run after for her, but she was crowded by Coven Scouts congratulating her. She tried to get through but couldn't, but did see Archimedes running off to find Eda.
Coven Scout: Lilith Clawthorne, we welcome you to the Emperor's Coven!
The audience cheered for her, but she couldn't think about her false victory, she pushed through and made it out of the crowd. Once she did she was met up by Matti and Seraphina.
Teen Matti: Lilith! What was that? What happened to Eda?
Teen Lilith: I...I...I don't know.
Teen Seraphina: We have to find her. I just saw Archy chase after her, let's hurry.
The three them ran off to try and find the two. But that was until they heard Archimedes's scream. They hurried to where they heard the scream but by the time they got there, they found Archimedes lying on the ground, severly injured and covered in blood.
Teen Lilith: Archimedes!
The three of them ran to him and kneeled down. Matti immedietly placed her hands gently on him and used her healing magic. Present Lilith and Eda watched the whole thing. Lilith looked over at Eda and saw the uncomfortable look on her face of being reminded of what she did to Archimedes.
Teen Lilith: Is he...
Teen Matti: He's alive. I can still feel his vitals, but they're fading.
Teen Seraphina: Did Eda do this to him?
Teen Lilith: No, not her. She'd never hurt him.
Teen Matti: He's losing so much blood and I can only sustain him for now.
Teen Seraphina: I'll go get help.
Seraphina ran off leaving the two of them alone. Lilith looked around the area for Eda, but she was no where to be found. But right now Archimedes needed help. She looked down at him. She felt so awful. Not just cursing her sister for nothing and having her turn into the owl beast but she indirectly injured her study partner Archimedes as his life was on the line.
Teen Lilith: ( whispers) Archimedes, I'm so sorry. Please hold on.
Selene: You see that? You cursed your own sister for nothing and your friend their could have died. Oh you would have had your cake and eat it whole too had you not did what you did.
Lilith covered her ears as her body shook as Eda held onto her.
Selene: And not just him, your father suffered from you actions as well didn't he.
Then environment changed in a flash as it then took them to their old home again and showed them their dad being attacked by Eda in her Owl Beast form, which resulted in hurting his hands, unable to carve palisman anymore and his eye.
Lilith: ( tearing up) Dad. No, I didn't want this. Not to him too.
Eda: Stop reminding her all of this you coward! Why don't you come out and fight us already.
Selene: Oh Eda, you really taking her side? I just showed you how she cursed you, ruined your life, you running away from home and chances of maybe living a happy life with the one you love.
Lilith: She's right. I did ruin your life.
Eda: No you didn't. Lily look at me.
Selene: Alright, let's look at one more. This one being my favorite.
The environement changed. They were surprised with the new place they were at as it was something they never wanted to look back at again. They were at the entrance bridge of Emperor Belos's castle, when Lilith held Luz hostage to get Eda to come. The day the two had there intense witch duel
Lilith: No, not this place again.
Past Lilith: Come on Edalyn. You would be late when I need you most.
Moments after that, past Eda arrived in a flash, glaring down at her.
Past Eda: Where is she?
Past Lilith: Easy now. The human is safe. You can have her back, provided you do as I say. Renounce your wild ways and join the Emperor's Coven. He can help heal your curse.
Past Eda: Don't believe everything that bone head tells you. He doesn't want heal me, he wants to control me.
Past Lilith: Then I'll take you in by force.
Past Eda: You always looked down on me because I'm wild. But fortunatly that just made me work harder than you!
The two began to fight, flying around, warping and putting their magic skills to the max. Eda and Lilith just watched their past selves fight. They never fought like this before nor did they ever wanted to fight, especially since Eda forfited the match years ago. If Matti saw this, she would have been heart broken seeing her two sister figures fight. They continued watching the fight when past Eda was about to hit past Lilith, but then used Luz as a shield forcing her to move the attack.
Past Eda: Stop hiding behind Luz you coward.
Past Lilith: It's sad seeing you slowing down sister. Tell me, is it the curse?
Lilith watched how her past self acted. She never realized how mean she was that day. Using Luz as as shield and antagonizing her sister, she was never like this before. She was acting just like Selene.
Past Eda: Maybe it is the curse. But how pathetic are you, that you can't best me at my worst!
Past Eda formed numerous spell circles and fired a barrage of magic projectiles at past Lilith, forcing her to shield herself.
Past Lilith: You always thought you were better than me. That I could never beat you at anything.
Past Eda: I am better than you.
Past Lilith: Then why were you so easy to curse?!
Then there was the moment where Lilith admitted she was the one who cursed her. She was so on edge she let it slip. Lilith looked over at Eda with an upset look. She glanced over her and saw how she was reacting.
Past Luz: Eda stop, you're magic!
Then past Lilith used her magic to levitated Luz over the bridge.
Past Lilith: Foolish human. That orb was for your protection.
Now she threw Luz off the bridge as past Eda tried to save her, which resulted in her using the last of her magic and turning into the Owl Beast. This was another sight the two didn't like to see. Eda since Luz was like a daughter to her and hated seeing her danger and Lilith feeling awful for throwing someone she now saw as a niece off a bridge.
Eda: Selene I know you can hear me! If you're trying to make me turn against Lily it's not working. Don't think you can get under my skin.
Selene: Who said I was trying to get under skin?
Eda looked over at Lilith, her body was shaking, placing her hand over her mouth and tearing up.
Eda: Lily? Lily.
Lilith: How could I have done all those things? Is this what I'm really like? I'm no different from Selene.
Eda: That's not true.
Past Lilith: Oh no, she's right.
The two were caught completely off guard when they heard past Lilith reply to them. She spoke again, but now her voice started to warp a bit.
Past Lilith: She and I...
She turned over to the two, but her face was Selene's face.
Selene: ...are alike.
The environment started to crumble as they were in the black void.
Selene: I thought I was bad, but you. You're a 've done nothing but hurt your friends and family. All these years, you bring nothing but pain and misery to others.
Eda felt something was not right. She still didn't understand how Selene could be here. But everything that was happening were Lilith's worst moments in her life, just like how she went through horrible moments in her mind trip. But how did Selene know full details on all this? She partly knew she cursed her but she shouldn't have known about Archimedes's and her dad's attack or the fight. Her eyes widened and figured it out.
Eda: Wait, Lilith. Don't listen to her. That's not Selene, it's...
Selene used her magic and pushed Eda away.
Lilith: Edayln!
Selene: You stay out of this Eda. As for you Lilith, I'm not done with you yet. How about we talk this over with the others?
Selene then transformed into a giant version of Kaa and swallowed Lilith. She fell into a dark abyss until she finally landed. Lilith got back up as she looked around.
Lilith: Hello? Edalyn? Edalyn where are you.
?: I can't believe you.
Lilith turned around and saw Matti who looked angry at her.
Lilith: Matti? What are you doing here?
Matti: I can't believe you did all this. You cursed your own sister and lied to me all these years. You don't care about your sister, you only care about your job. I can't believe I looked up to you.
Lilith: Matti, I'm sorry. It wasn't supposed to be this way.
Archimedes: Was it?
Then Archimedes appeared, also angry and the scars on his face were now bloody scratches.
Archimedes: I nearly died that day. I never got to be with Eda because of you.
Lilith: Archimedes I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for you to get hurt.
Dell: Or me?
Then her parents appeared, Dell was covering his eye that scratched and blood dripping from it as well as from his hands as Gwen stood next to him angry at her.
Dell: Because of you I lost an eye and can no longer carve palisman.
Gwen: I'm very disappointed in you Sweat Flea. You destroyed our family.
Lilith: Mom, dad...
Lilith fell to her knees, holding her arms and tears flowing down her eyes. Everyone surrouned her and glared down at her as Selene appeared again grinning at her.
Selene: It's as I said Lilith, you've done nothing but cause pain and misery for everyone. What can I say? You're just a natural at what you do.
Meanwhile.
We cut back to reality where Luz, Christa, Hooty and King were waking up after their slumber party. The room was bit of a mess with some half eaten foods, board games and an empty tub of ice cream.
Luz: Oh man, morning already. Well that was a fun night, and glad we didn't have to just sit and watch being bored.
King: Uhh, wake me up later...still sleeping.
Hooty: Oh I'm glad I finally got to be part of something.
Christa: Uh... I shouldn't have had so much of that junk food. ( holds her stomach) Oh...my tummy hurts. But that ice cream was so good.
Luz: ( gasps) Wait did we really eat all the ice cream. Eda's going to kill us.
King: Don't worry Luz. She cares more about her apple blood and we can replace it behind her back.
Hooty: Uh guys. What's up with Lulu?
They looked over at Eda and Lilith and saw the latter twisting and turning.
Christa: What's happening?
Luz: She must be experiencing a nightmare or something really scary in there.
Christa: What should we do, should we wake her up?
Seraphina: Um hello.
The four of them looked over and saw Seraphina at the entrance.
Seraphina: Morning everyone. Am I interurrpting something? I didn't mean to intrude but the door was wide open and...
Seraphina stopped talking when she saw Lilith twisting and turning. She immedietly went up to her.
Seraphina: Lilith? What's wrong with her?
Luz: She's probably facing her worst nightmares to gain access to her harpy powers.
Seraphina: She looks scared. We should wake her up.
King: No, if you do that she'll fail.
Seraphina: Why is she even doing this?
Christa: Is it true you guys had a fight yesterday?
Seraphina: We had a bit of a disagreement sure but I didn't...oh this is my fault. I stopped by to talk things out and apologize.
Luz: I'm sure you didn't mean to upset her. She wants to get stronger for you.
Seraphina: I never wanted her to think she was weak. I just wanted to protect.
Then they heard a familiar record scratching roaring sound.
Luz: Oh come on. Now?
They ran outside and saw Battra flying around the Owl House.
Christa: Well Hipporit did say to expect frequent attacks.
King: Uh should we wake those two up.
Seraphina: It's okay, I'm here to help. It's just one after all.
Then they saw a fire ball coming from the distance. It landed near them with a fiery explosion. When the fire and smoke cleared the new choju, Nataran stood there. He was a bipedal tall monster. His body was a fire red with the upper body and necks having a spiky red texture all around like fire. The most notable thing about the choju was it's two heads. They had long necks with vulture heads with a horn on their heads, black beaks, yellow eyes and two tails. It let out a roar ( stock Rodan roar) as it was ready to attack. Battra landed next to him, flapping his wings roaring.
King: You were saying?
Meanwhile
Lilith was still on her knees crying with Selene and others still circling her.
Selene: Face it Lilith, you're nothing but a burden to everyone. Why don't you do everyone a favor, wake up and jump off a cliff into the boiling sea.
Eda: Don't you dare even think of that!
Lilith: Edalyn?
Lilith looked up and saw Eda running towards her.
Eda: Do you really think that way Lilith? You think killing yourself will make us happy.
Lilith: What do you mean?
Eda: Lily. These aren't our friends, our parents, that's not even the real Selene. They're a manifistation of your guilt.
Lilith: Then you know how I ruined everyone's life. You saw what I did. I really am like Selene
Eda: That's not true. You're nothing like Selene. She has no friends, no family. She has nothing, you do. We all know what you did, but we still love and care for you, not just me but our friends, mom, dad and Seraphina. Did you already forget some of the last things we did with them.
Suddenly Eda's body began to fade.
Eda: Uh oh. I think I'm waking up.
Lilith: Eda please don't leave. I can't do this without you.
Eda: ( holding her) Yes you what I used to say. Sometimes you just gotta face your fears and punch them in the face. That's what you got to do.
Lilith: I can't do it.
Eda: Yes you can. I believe in you sis. Just remember some of the good times we had catching up.
With that Eda fades and we cut to her waking up and Luz entering inside.
Eda: Whoa, what just happened here.
Luz: Eda we need help!
Eda runs outside and see's Christa and King fighting Battra and Seraphina and Hooty fighting Nataran.
Eda: You guys just can't let me have my cup of apple blood before I start my day can you? Alright then.
Eda transforms into her harpy form. We cut to King letting out a sonic wave at Battra, he flapped his wings and flew up avoiding it. He swooped down at King as Christa formed a stone wall to shield him. Battra cut it down with a few attacks from his laser. He was about to strike the two until Harpy Eda flew from the side and knocked him down.
Harpy Eda: Hey Bat Brain.
Battra turns over to Harpy Eda.
Harpy Eda: You want a proper fight, come at me.
Harpy Eda flew up as Battra flew after her as the two engaged an aeriel fight. We then see Luz, Seraphina and Hooty fighting Nataran. Nataran roared at the group. He spat out fire balls at the three. Seraphina grabbed Luz and pulled her out of the way as Hooty dodged. Seraphina let Luz go as she used an ice glyph and placed it on the ground as a wave of ice spikes were coming at him. Nataran breathed a heat ray at the ice coming at him, melting it instantly and even fired at Luz which she formed a rock wall to block it, but the impact of th heat ray caused it to explode knocking her down. Nataran roared and was coming at her until Hooty bursted from the ground and hit him in the chest keeping her away. Nataran roared at Hooty and began spitting fire balls at him which he dodged with ease.
Hooty: ( dodging) Ha, you can't get me! You can't get me. I'm too fast for you. No one can beat the Hoot...UGH!
Hooty gagged when Nataran grabbed him by his neck.
Hooty: I think I got a little carried away.
Nataran through Hooty to the ground and began stomping on the back of his neck. He stomped on him again, and again, and again the third time it caused him to spit out a live rodent like creature running away.
Hooty: Hey that was my dinner last night.
Nataran roared and was about stomp again until he felt a magic projectile hit his back.
Seraphina: That's enough. I'm not letting you hurt my friends any longer.
Seraphina formed a large spell circle around her as her eyes began to glow, accessing her feral mode again. She let out a roar and ran up at Nataran as the two fought.
Meanwhile
Lilith was all alone now. Her guilt was getting to her and all she wanted to do was to wake up from this nightmare. Everyone kept saying how horrible she was because of what she did as Selene watched in amusment.
Selene: Now that Eda's gone, I have you all alone. Didn't you have anything else to say to her Matilda?
Matti: I can't believe I looked up to you. You're definitly not the big sister I always wanted. You liar!
Lilith: Matti, how can you say that after our time at the dinner party. You were so happy to have us all there.
But when Lilith said that, Matti bursted into light as it showed a projection of memory. It was the night at the dinner party that Gwen and Matti invited everyone to. But this memory was when Lilith, Seraphina and Hooty went to help Matti in the kitchen.
Matti: Okay let's see. Roast should be done in 30 minutes. I got the rolls, the scalopped potatoes, the cooked veggies and...( gasps) shoot I forgot to cook the veggies and I haven't even cut them.
Lilith: Don't worry, I'm almost done.
Lilith was nearly done cutting the vegetables as Matti sighed in relief.
Matti: Oh Lily, you're a life saver.
Seraphina: Matti is there anything else we can do?
Matti: If you two can just set the table that'll be it.
Seraphina: Will do, come along Hooty.
Hooty: I'm right with you Siri! Hoot!
Seraphina: ( chuckles) Is that what you're going to call me now?
Once the two were gone, Lilith and Matti continued to talk as they prepped.
Matti: Those two are getting along.
Lilith: Hootsifer was very excited when I introduced him to Seraphina and she took an immediet liking to her.
Matti: I'm glad. I am glad you all could make it. It's been years since the five of us got together. And now Eda has her kids and you reconnecting with everyone.
Lilith: Yeah. ( frowns) Are you still mad at me? For cursing Eda?
Matti: Forget about it.
Lilith: But you were so angry at when I told you and how you said you didn't want to talk to me anymore and...
Matti: ( holding her hands) Lilith please. That's done. I was upset but I'm passed that. You're not a bad person at heart, just flawed. But we all are. Plus I'm kinda glad you're not part of the Emperor's Coven anymore. You acted so differently when you were there. I'm glad to have the old you back but let's not talk about it anymore. Can we just have fun tonight? Please?
Lilith felt the tight hold on her hands. She smiled and pulled Matti into a hug.
Lilith: Sure we can.
Lilith smiled at the memory and she may have figured it out. It's as Eda told her to remember what everyone really thinks of her.
Lilith: Archimedes, I know I messed things up for you but you still never held whatever I did against me.
Selene: What are you doing?
Archimedes bursted into light as it showed another memory. It showed Lilith and Eda at the house when Archimedes came over.
Hooty: Hey Eda! Your BF is here! Hoot, Hoot!
Archimedes: Please don't call me that. Hey guys..
Lilith: Oh hello Archimedes.
Eda: Archy. ( hugging him) You here to spend time with your Lovely E?
Archimedes: Well, I mean yes. I always love to see you. But I mainly came to see you Lilith.
Lilith: Me?
Archimedes: Yeah listen. So I know you've been out of work ever since you quite the Emperor's Coven. And well, knowing you how you're kinda into history, our old assistant curator at the museum quit on us and well I talked to my boss and I think we can get you a job there.
Eda: Whoa.
Lilith: Wait, you're serious? You mean at the Supernatural Museum of History?
Archimedes: Yeah, are you able to come for an interview for tomorrow morning.
Lilith: Yes. Yes tell your boss I'll be there. Archimedes thank you I, I can't believe you actually did this for me.
Archimedes: Well yeah of course. Why wouldn't I?
Lilith: I don't know. ( frowns) Probably because of what I did to you?
Archimedes: What are you...oh, oh that. Look Lilith it's fine.
Lilith: It's fine that you almost died?
Archimedes: No I mean. Uh look what I'm trying to say is that I don't hold any resentment towards you. I still made it, I still made it with Eda and well...I guess I'm not the type of guy to hold a grudge. You are my girlfriends sister and still my friend and you know history as well as I do.
Lilith: Well I don't like to brag but I always did consider myself the Bad Girl Historian. But this really means a lot to me. Thank you.
Archimedes: Hey of course. You're still my friend and plus you were my best study buddy.
Eda then grabs his ear and pulls him down.
Archimedes: Ow! What?
Eda: And what's that supposed to mean? You saying I'm not as smart as her.
Archimedes: No, no I didn't say that E. You're the smartest witch I know.
Eda: Okay then how come you always went to Lily whenever you needed help with homework?
Archimedes: Well I just needed her expertise. I'm not saying you're not good at history. I'm just saying Lilith is better.
Eda: Excuse me?
Archimedes: Wait, wait I worded it wrong. I meant...
Eda: ( pulling harder) So you trying to get on with my sister Archy?
Archimedes: Ow, Eda stop!
Lilith just laughed at the two as the memory ends.
Selene: Don't brush your problems aside Lilith! You can't pretend this didn't happen.
Lilith: No I can't pretend. Right mom, dad?
Dell and Gwen then bursted into light showing another memory at the dinner party. It was just right after Eda made up with Dell and Lilith entered the scene and went up hugging her dad.
Lilith: Dad, I'm so glad you're here.
Dell: ( chuckles) I'm happy to see you as well Lilith.
Lilith: Dad, I'm so sorry for everything that happened to you with Eda and...
Dell: Hey, hey don't be that way. You're mother and Matti told me what really happened and maybe it's my fault for not properly checking in.
Gwen: Oh Dell you were a busy man. I'm the one who's always home.
Lilith: No it's not, it's mine. Our family drifted because I was jealous. Eda didn't ruin things, I did.
Dell: Now hold, I was just telling your sister that I'm not mad at her and the same goes for you. Neither of you ruined my life and I wouldn't trade you both for anyone else.
Gwen: We love you both and we're just so happy to be together once again.
Lilith: And I'm happy to be home with all of you as well. ( looks at Eda) Edalyn why are you wearing my old clothes?
Eda: Uh, I don't want to talk about it.
Dell: Oh she was trying to pretend to be you, but to be honest she's not very good at it.
Eda: Hey.
Lilith smiled at the memory as it fades. She then formed a firm gaze and looked over at Selene.
Selene: What are you...
Lilith: I'm not afraid anymore.
Lilith began to walk towards Selene.
Selene: What you think because of a few good compliments from them it's all good?
Lilith: Yes.
Selene: You and I both know it's not true. You're a monster just like me.
Lilith: No you're right. I was a monster. I allowed my jealousy, fear and guilt destroy me. But I am no longer that witch anymore, and I will never ever be like you! Unlike you, I felt remorse of whatever I did.
Lilith began running at Selene who looked startled.
Lilith: I will protect the ones I love from monsters like you!
Lilith punches Selene in the face, causing her to disappear into black smoke. Lilith breathed heavily as she turned and saw a white light coming towards her.
Lilith: Edalyn you were right. I did it.
Lilith stood there as the light engulfed her.
Meanwhile.
We cut to Seraphina fighting Nataran. She scratched the air letting out red slash waves at him. Nataran blocked the attack spits fire balls at her. She dodges but he keeps attacking, not giving her a chance to attack. Even in her feral mode, Nataran was able to withstand her boosted power.
Luz came at him from behind and placed a few fire glyphs on his back. They exploded upon impact as he turned over to her. He didn't see her though and then he felt a couple vines pulling from his two necks. Luz was pulling onto them as Hooty helped her.
Luz: Get him now Seraphina!
Seraphina nodded and formed a large spell circle. She let out an energy blast that took the form of a wild cat roaring and running at him. It looked like he was about to be hit, but then his body ignited on fire and took the form of his fireball form. It burnt off the vines and was coming towards the the blast. The impact let out an explosion that Seraphina, Luz and Hooty got caught in. It sent them to the ground and Serphina hitting a tree and falling to the ground.
Harpy Eda: Luz, Seraphina...Argh!
Eda yelled in pain when she felt something sharp cut across her back. It was caused by Battra's laser. Eda fell to the ground as Battra laned on top of her jumping up and down.
Christa: Eda!
Christa and King were running to help her, but Natara breathed his heat ray at the ground, blocking the two with a wall of fire. Then he turned back to Seraphina and approached her.
Luz: Seraphina!
Luz was about to go help her, but Nataran tail whipped her away.
Seraphina: Luz!
Seraphina reached for her, but then saw his foot block her view. She looked up and saw Nataran looking down at her. He opened his mouths and was charging for a heat ray. She shut her eyes but then something knocked him over. She opened her eyes and to hers and everyone's surprise it was Lilith, in her harpy form. She had a very similar build to Harpy Eda, though her feathers and body were mainly black and like Eda it looked like it was her old dress and was more raven themed. Her eyes were black with green irises ut didn't have her glasses as her eye sight was much clearer, ears were more pointed and had claws on her hands and feet and longer black hair.
Harpy Lilith: Don't you dare lay a claw on my girlfriend.
Nataran got back up and roared and breathed his heat ray at the two. Lilith picked up Seraphina and flew up and brought her with Luz and Hooty.
Hooty: Is that you Lulu? Wow you look so cool!
Luz: Dang girl that's one sweet makeover!
Harpy Lilith: Oh stop you two. But we can talk about my new look later.
Seraphina: Lilith...
Harpy Lilith: Just sit aside Seraphina. I'll be right back.
Lilith flew to Eda. She got her hands out and slashed across Battra's face, forcing him off of Eda and helping her up.
Harpy Lilith: Are you okay sister?
Harpy Eda: I am now that you're here. Whoa, told you could do it.
The two heard Battra and Nataran roar approaching the two.
Harpy Eda: Alright let's show what the Clawthorne Sisters can do.
Harpy Lilith: Agreed.
The two engaged combat with the two choju. Eda charged at Battra. He shot multiple laser projectiles at her, but she dodged each attack and grabbed hold of him. Battra bit down on her shoulder, but she hit him a couple times on the head, letting her go, grabbed his neck and threw him aside.
Lilith went up to Nataran and punched him a few times at the body. He tried to hit her across the face, but she caught his arm and threw him aside. He was about to get back up but she clawed his left head, scratching his face and roaring in agony. He tail whipped at her, but she caught his two tails and swung him around and threw him at Battra.
Harpy Eda: Lily, let's take this up in the air.
Harpy Lilith: Right.
The two of them flew up and Battra and Nataran were just barely getting up and saw the two in the air. Battra flew up and Nataran turned into his fireball form and flew up.
Harpy Eda: You ready.
Harpy Lilith: Yes.
Eda and Lilith split up as Battra chased after Eda and Nataran after Lilith. After flying around a bit, Lilith and Eda were flying at each other. They were getting closer and closer to each other as each choju chased each of them.
Harpy Eda: Now!
Eda and Lilith flew up causing Battra and Nataran to crash into each other, letting out a fiery explosion. Nataran turned back to normal and fell to the ground as did Battra, accept once he got back up he quickly flew up and retreated. Nataran howerver was weakening as barely had any strenght left. Eda and Lilith landed and were close to victory.
Harpy Eda: You want to do the honors Lily.
Harpy Lilith: Glady.
Seraphina: Lilith wait.
Lilith turned to Seraphina who grabbed her hand. Her hand began to glow as she was transferring a red aura to Lilith's hand.
Seraphina: This is from all of us.
Lilth nodded as she yelled charging at Nataran. She slashed across Nataran's body with her powered up clawed hand. Nataran let out a dying roar as he fell to the ground and bursts into flames. Lilith breathed heavily as everyone went up cheering for her.
Hooty: Wow Lulu! You really saved us there. I knew you could pull it through! I'm so over joyed!
King: Yeah you were like whoosh and pow. You're a harpy woman now.
Harpy Eda: Hey I have that too.
King: Yeah but we've seen yours already.
Christa: Lilith that was so cool.
Luz: Very! You really are Cool Aunt Lilith.
Harpy Eda: ( hugging) I'm proud of you sis. Told you, you could do it.
Harpy Lilith: I did what you said and I punched my fears in the face. Literally! And I'd do it to again to the real Selene!
Seraphina: Lilith.
Seraphina went up to Lilith and hugged her tight.
Harpy Lilith: Seraphina are you okay?
Seraphina: I'm fine. You look so beutiful. Not that you weren't before.
Harpy Lilith: ( blushes) Aw, I know. It was tough, but I did it. I was able to get stronger for you.
Seraphina: For me? Oh...Lilith I came by to talk to you about yesterday. I'm sorry for what I said. I didn't mean to upset you.
Harpy Lilith: But you were right, I was weak before.
Seraphina: Weak? Lilith you're not weak. You're the smartest and most resoursful witch I know. I'm sorry about pushing you away. I did that because...because that day when I decided to talk things out with you about our break up, but Selene was there tormenting you, it scared me. It scared me seeing you like that and hurt. When we got back together I said to myself I would protect you no matter what, but...we haven't seen each other in years and things have changed between us and I made it worse for us. I guess I don't truly know the new you.
Lilith took her hand and looked at her in the eye.
Harpy Lilith: I haven't changed that much. I appreciate that you just want to look after me, but don't push me away from the fights. Please let me fight by your side.
Seraphina: Okay. Lilith I love you, magic or no magic.
Harpy Lilith: I know and I love you too Seraphina.
She wrapped her arms around Lilith and reached up to her to kiss her. Lilith pulled up a little and kissed her as well.
Luz: Aw, it's just like me and Amity.
Harpy Eda: Well this was one heck of a way to start a morning.
Eda turned back to normal.
Harpy Lilith: Wait, how do I change back.
Eda: Oh, right. It might take some time of getting used to until you can change back on your own. I'll go get an elixer and to celebrate our victory, who wants ice cream for breakfast?
But then Luz, Christa and King formed worried expressions on their faces.
Luz: Uh, I mean it sounds great, but we're good.
Christa: Yeah maybe it's best to save for dinner.
King: In fact you should definitly not look into the freezer.
Christa nudged King to be quiet.
Eda: Come on, you kids deserved it. I'll go get it ready.
Eda goes inside while the three looked nervous.
Luz: Oh, look at the time.
Christa: Yeah we better get to school.
Seraphina: It's a Saturday.
Luz: Well, today is a special day. It's uh, Studen tappeciation day where we the students get to party all day and...
Harpy Lilith: You three ate all the ice cream didn't you?
Luz: We totally did.
King: We couldn't help it.
Christa: It was so good. Eda's going to kill us.
King: Let's beat it while we still can!
Luz: No guys, we're not going to run. We're just going to confess to Eda that we ate it during our sleepover fun. She might disapprove but I'm sure she'll understand.
Then they heard Eda's yell from the inside of the house.
Eda: WHERE'D ALL THE ICE CREAM GO! KIDS!?
Luz: Run for it!

Author's Note: That's it for this chapter. Finally made this one. I was really hoping we would get a Harpy Lilith in the show, but sadly we didn't and I don't think we will and some memories here were actually deleted scenes from my previous chapters due to eitheir they took too long or plot changed. Also I've been meaning to answer a question regarding what would the show's op would look like with Christa and the other characters. Well I would try to crunch them all in, but since the opening is a bit short, I thought of a longer one and maybe a different song. I was thinking something simialr to Gurenge, the opening to Demon Slayer. In fact if I didnt have the rights to the shows soundtrack and had to change it, I'd use something sort of anime like inspired by Inuyasha, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, Naruto or the Ultra series. Or better yet use both. The end theme I'd either use the original end credits or something similar to Glitter from Fairy Tail or My Will and Shinjitsu no Uta from again Inuyasha.
