Chapter 41: Matti and Babalou: A Horrific Encounter

At Emperor Belos Castle.
An explosion was heard somewhere in the castle we see scouts and Dorodoros flown to walls and pillars. Running past them was the last Terrible Trio member Babalou. He was making his way to the castle's treasure room and soon found the door.
Scout Captain: Stop right there!
Babalou turned and saw the captain. With her were four scouts, four Dorodoros and was controlling an abomiton.
Babalou: Am I supposed to be scared?
Scout Captain: You're under arrest for betraying our Emperor.
Babalou just laughed and formed his hands into his spear and hook.
Babalou: You can't arrest me if I kill you.
Scout Captain: Get him!
The scouts and Dorodors attacked. One scout fired a magic projectile at Babalou which he deflected with his spear hand. He kept firing at him as Babalou just ran at him constantly deflecting the attacks, until he got closed and stabbed the scout with the spear coming out from his back. He pulled his spear hand out slashed the Dorodoro behind him killing him instantly. Two more Dorodoros went up to him as they tried to attack him with their swords. Babalou blocked each attack and pushed one of them off and decaptitated one of them and the other he slashed across it's stomach killing him.
Suddenly vines formed around him and wrapped him up. It was caused by one of the scouts andd another one next to him formed a stone wall and had it coming at Babalou, attempting to crush him into the wall. It looked like they had him, but then saw the wall burst and shatter. Babalou was free and was coming at the two. They were caught off guard and Babalou stuck his hook under the jaw of the scout that made the stone wall. He lifted him up in the air as the scout held onto his arm, kicking, grunting and gurgling as blood was spilling on the floor and spraying. Some of the blood got onto Babalou's mask. The scout next to him was about to use his plant magic to trap him again, but Babalou saw it coming and before he could even make a spell circle, he cut off his hand with his spear. The scout dropped to his knees holding his arm, screaming in agony as blood squirted from the wound. Babalou dropped the scout off from his hook and left him there to bleed out and choke on his own blood. The disarmed scout continued screaming until he looked up at Babalou and was instatnly killed by decaptiation.
He turned to the last scout and Dorodoro, both looking scared and taking a step back.
Babalou: What's wrong? Come at me! I'm wide open!
Scout Captaina: What are you doing? Attack!
The Captain controlled the Abomiton and had it stand behind the two.
Babalou: Alright then. I'll come at you!
The Abomiton stretched it's hand out at him. Babalou slid to dodge the attack and jumped up. He landed as the Dorodoro tried to slash him, but blocked the attack with his hook and kicked him off, but the scout cut his left arm with a spear, which Babalou retaliated with a kick to head.. The Dorodoro ran at him trying to slash him at the head. Babalou blocked the attack and sliced the Dorodoro in half. The scout tried to stab him from behind. Babalou did a backflip and landed behind the scout, he turned around but is then is impaled in the face and pinned him at the wall.
Scout Captain: You! How dare you!?
The captain controlled the Abomiton as it appeared behind Babalou. It formed it's hand into a hammer and tried to crush him. He avoided the attack as the Abomiton tried to smash him again. It even formed it's other hand into an axe and kept attacking. The axe hand came at Babalou as he rolled out of the way to dodge, but the next attack did cut across his back. He let out a painful grunt, but got back up to fight, the next axe attack came at him, but he dodged and cut the hand off. Of course this did not work as it easily regenerated.
The Abomiton used it's hammer hand hit Babalou into a wall. The Captain chuckled as she watched Babalou lying against the wall motionless and was about to finish him off. But this was his plan as he got up, formed a large spell circle with his spear hand and jabbed through it. Coming out of the spell circle was a larger version of his spear, impaling the Abomiton right through, destroying the mechanisms inside as it fell to the ground shutting down. The Captain yelled and then gasped when she saw Babalou was no where to be found. She looked around the area but was no where.
Scout Captain: No...no. Where did he go? Where did...AAAAHHH!
Someone kicked the captain's right hind leg, breaking it as she fell to her knees. But felt someone grabbing her from behind and felt a hook over her neck. She was breathing heavily, terrified and heard a voice behind her.
Babalou: Sorry, it's nothing personal.
Babalou finished her off, slitting her throat and pushed the body to the ground.
Babalou: Hmph, pathetic.
Babalou opened the doors and saw the treasure inside the room, filled with gold.
Babalou: Now then, to collect my concelation prize.
He took out two large sacks and used his magic to get the gold inside them.
Hunter: Stop it right there.
Babalou looked and saw Hunter with Hipporit standing at the door with Steve, Carl and Earl.
Hipporit: Babalou! What do you think you're doing?
Babalou: Taking what's mine. I'm through working for you!
Hunter: This is a huge offense agaisnt Emperor Belos. You will not be getting away with this.
Babalou: Hahaha! Did you not see the remains of your troops Golden Guard? You really want to tangle with me?
Hunter was about to warp to attack from behind, but then felt Hipporit grab his shoulder.
Babalou: That's what I thought.
Babalou formed a spell circle and jabbed through it and the large spear broke through the ceiling, showing the outside.
Babalou: Farewell, send Selene my regards!
Babalou grabbed the two sacks and clicked his feet together. Jets formed at the bottom of his boots and flew out of the castle.
Hunter: He got away. Why didn't you let me get him? I could have snuck him from behind.
Hipporit: That's what he wanted you to do. You do that, he would have killed you. Babalou is the most skilled and dangerous member of the Terrible Trio.
Hunter: So I guess I better go after him. Steve, Carl, Earl! Let's go!
Carl: Wait what?
Steve: Us?
Hunter: What?
Carl: Uh well...
Earl: It's not that we don't want to go. It's just...
Steve: Look man with all due respect...he just mutilated an entire squad. I don't want to die this way.
Hipporit: I will not be endangering any more troops. I'll take it from here. But first, I'm going to have a word with Selene.
Steve: Phew. Steve gets to live another day.
We cut to Babalou still flying over the Boiling Isles until finally landing down near a cave and placing the two sacks of gold down. He opened one of them and looked at his treasure.
Babalou: This will do fine. I got more than what Belos was going to pay me. I deserve it. But I was probably better off in prison. Scourge, Karasniper. My friends are dead because we joined this coven. I knew we were better off on our own.
Babalou began digging a hole into the ground and placed the gold in it and buried it back up. He then went to the river and washed the blood that was on his armor and mask. He winched from the pain from his wounds. He was losing too much blood and was getting woozy.
Babalou: Need to...find a...a healer ugh...
Babalou fell to the ground, seemigly dying of his wounds. But flying over the woods was Matti.
Matti: Shoot, shoot, shoot. I said I'd be there to pick them up thirty minutes ago. Hope they're not getting impatient.
But then she looked down and saw Babalou on the ground.
Matti: Is that...( gasps) it's a person.
Matti landed down and approached Babalou.
Matti: Hey are you okay? Hello?
He only made a groaning sound and saw the blood on his body.
Matti: Hold on.
Matti placed her hands on him and used her healing magic to heal him. His wounds were healing up, stopped the bleeding restored his armor. Babalou sat up and rubbed his head.
Babablou: What?
Matti: Are you okay? You were lucky I saw you, you could have...
Babalou was alarmed when he heard Matti and let out a harsh grunt jumped high out of the area and onto a tree. Matti looked around for him, but was no where to be seen. When Babalou calmed down, he gazed at her. She was probably the most beautiful witch he'd ever seen. With her smooth honey milk skin, silver french braided hair, sapphire eyes and thin glasses. And the fact that she was kind enough to help a common criminal like him, although she probably had no idea who he was.
Matti: Where'd he go? I just wanted to make sure he was okay. Poor guy must have been scared. I didn't even get his name.
Matti got back onto her staff and flew off. Babalou watched her fly off.
Babalou: That witch. She helped me. I... I can't let her go! Not yet!
Babalou jumped up and flew after her.
Later.
We now cut to Matti with Luz, Christa and King, shopping through Bonesborough. Luz and Christa each held her hands as King was on her shoulder.
Matti: Finally got some time off. I've been planning this outing since I met you two.
Luz: Well we hung out with everyone else already. So naturally you're next.
Christa: Where did you say you wanted to take us next?
Matti: I wanted to go into that store right there.
King: That one, but it looks boring.
Matti: If we go, I'll take you to a candy store King.
King: Can I fill my bag up?
Luz: King.
Matti: Of course you can.
King: Okay, I can wait.
They entered the store and looked around. Luz was looking around. Though she was mainly looking for a new pair of gloves for Amity.
Christa was looking at some clothes and some jewelery. But what caught her attention was a necklace. It was silver with an emerald pendent. Chirsta looked interested.
Christa: That is so pretty.
But then she saw the price tag for it.
Christa: Fifty snails? Aw, I only have thirty. Knew shouldn't have bought that lipstick at the last shop.
Matti: Save your money Christa. I'll take that one.
Matti purchases the necklace for her.
Christa: Wait really?
Matti: Of course. You're my niece and whatever you need I'm there if you need help.
Matti puts the necklace around Christa's neck.
Matti: There. Wow, you really look beautiful with it. It really matches your emerald on you head.
Christa smiles at her a hugs her tight.
Christa: Thank you Aunt Matti. You're the best ever.
Matti: You're very welcome.
She looked over at Luz and saw her still looking through the gloves. She lets go of Christa and goes over to her.
Matti: You doing okay?
Luz: Just trying to find a new pair of gloves for Amity. I still owe her a new pair after her old ones got ruined. But I can't find the exact pair that she had.
Matti: You don't have to get her the exact pair. How about get her something you think is special or would suit her. Oh, how about this. It kinda looks like her hair doesn't it?
Luz looked at the gloves Matti pointed out to. It was a pair of gloves that were lavender, like her hair but on the wrists had a grey mane like fuzz.
Luz: Oh, these really do look nice for her. I think I have enough for it.
Matti: Save your money. I got this.
Luz: Oh Matti no. You don't have to.
Matti: When your with me, your money is no good.
Luz: ( hugging her) Oh Matti, nicest auntie ever.
Matti giggles hugging Luz back.
Later.
The four of them were outside sitting together having lunch, though King was seen eating out from his bag of candy.
Christa: King you're going to get sick eating all that.
King: I don't care.
Matti: King as your regular healer, I'd strongly suggest you not eat it all at once.
King: Okay Matti.
Christa: I just said the same thing.
King: Well Matti's a professional.
Luz: No one has to be a professional to know eating too much candy is bad for you.
King: Well Matti knows best.
Matti: But still listen to your friends and Eda King.
King: I know, I do.
Luz: Hey Matti.
Matti: Hm?
Luz: Since I can't think of a better time, but how did you meet Eda?
Matti: ( smiles) Well, I used to live near the knee but when I was around, I think 7 or 8 my family moved over here. I was sad moving and really didn't like it, mainly since I was leaving a childhood friend of mine. I was pretty sad, lonely and felt like a fish out of water. But then I went to my first day of Hexside...
Flashback
Long time ago.
We see a young Matti walking in the hallways of Hexside. She didn't look too happy and wasn't having the best luck. First the strap on her backpack snapped off and her books fell out. She groaned as she kneeled down to pick them up but then she felt something under her feet, she looked down and saw she stepped on gum.
Young Matti: My mom just got me these.
Matti tried to move on and soon found her demon locker. She tried to open up, but the demon but refused to open.
Young Matti: Ugh, come on already.
As this was happening, we see Eda, Archimedes and Lilith, the former with her ball.
Young Eda: Okay Archy you ready?
Young Archimedes: Wait Eda, how is this supposed to help me be brave?
Young Eda: We went over this Archimedes. I'm really skilled with my kicks and to help you build your courage I'm going to kick this at you. Now I'm really fast so you can't dodge, the only thing you can do is deflect.
Young Archimedes: Wait what!?
Young Lilith: Eda you're pressuring him. Archimedes you don't have to do this.
Young Eda: He'll be fine Lily we practiced. Okay Archy here it comes.
Young Archimedes: Uh Eda I'm having second thoughts on this.
Young Eda: Ready?
Young Archimedes: E, I really don't...
Young Eda: Think fast!
Eda kicks the ball at Archimedes. He paniced the jumped down, dodging the ball. It instead was coming at Matti from behind. She gets hit in the back of the head and falls to the ground. The three of them gasped when they saw her fall.
Young Eda: Oh Titan!
Young Lilith: Edalyn!
Young Archimedes: Oh no, Eda what did you do?
Young Eda: It was an accident!
The three of them ran to her as Matti was on her knees, looking down and holding onto the back of her head.
Young Eda: I'm so sorry. Are you okay?
Matti began to cry. They couldn't see her face, but heard her sobbing and tears falling down.
Young Eda: Oh no. I'm sorry. I swear it was accident. It wasn't even meant for you.
Young Archimedes: It was meant for me actually.
Young Lilith: Hey I'm so sorry about this. I tried to tell her not to but...
Young Matti: I knew I wouldn't like it here.
Young Lilith: What?
Young Matti: I told my parents I didn't want to move but they wouldn't listen. I was happy back at my old home, at my old school but it's all gone now.
Young Archimedes: Did you just move here?
Young Matti: A week ago. Today's my first day here and already it's going bad.
Young Eda: Oh. I'm really sorry, I really ruined it for you didn't I.
Young Matti: I mean you didn't mean it, but it still hurts.
Matti winched from the pain on her back.
Young Lilith: Give me your hand.
Lilith took Matti's hand.
Young Lillith: With this spell declared, let this pain be shared.
A small flash was made as Matti felt less pain on the back of her head and Lilith held the back of her head as she felt a small pain.
Young Matti: What did you do?
Young Lilith: I shared the pain with you. You should feel less.
Young Matti: But wouldn't that mean you'd feel my pain then.
Young Lilith: Just a little, but it's okay. Are you okay is what matters?
Young Matti: Yeah, I am. Thank you but you didn't have to.
Young Lilith: Hey I know moving to a new town and school can be scary, but it isn't all bad.
Young Eda: Yeah, you just got to meet the right people to guide you through. I'm Eda, this is my sister Lilith and this is Archimedes.
Young Matti: My name's Mathilda.
Young Eda: Mathilda huh? So are we okay with the whole uh, ball to your head?
Young Matti: It's okay.
Young Eda: You sure. I'll even let you hit me on the head.
Young Matti: It's fine really. But you kick hard though, how do you do it?
Eda wraps her arm around her shoulder
Young Eda: Well stick with this bad girl and I'll teach you everything you need to know Matti.
Young Matti: My name is Mathilda.
Young Eda: I know, but I need a nickname for you so how about Matti for short.
Young Matti: Guess that's fine.
Young Lilith: Just ignore any rebellious advice she has.
Young Eda: Eh don't listen to Liliy.
Young Matti: Wait so why were you trying to kick the ball at Archimedes again.
Young Eda: He was supposed to deflect it but chickened out.
Young Archimedes: I told you I wasn't going to do it.
Young Eda: Okay Archy because you failed the test, you know what that means.
Young Archimedes: Eda please don't.
Eda jumps at Archimedes, head locks him and noogies him.
Young Archimedes: Ow! Stop!
Young Eda: That's what you get Archy for failing.
Matti just laughed as she now felt her day was going better making new friends.
Flashback ends.
Matti: They've been my closest friends and even when everyone went their separate ways I still visited Eda and Lilith time to time to make sure they were okay. But I'm glad to see everyone coming back together. Well most of them.
Luz: And you said you spent years trying to cure her curse?
Matti: I spent twenty years trying to find a cure with Gwen, but no luck. I didn't just look into it to help her but also thought it would be revolutionary for the Healing Coven. She keeps telling me she's fine with her elixer system how it's managable but I felt like I should do more. When you're expert healer who can cure any sickness, pain or other curse than this can really be bothersome to you.
Christa: Don't be too down. She's accpeted the curse as part of her now and now she has harpy powers.
Matti: Yeah, that is really impressive.
Luz: I've been here a few months I swear I haven't seen you until sometime after I met Christa.
Matti: Believe me you probably would have met me sooner, but work has been crazy.
Luz: So healing is your profession?
Matti: I'm a professional healer. I work at the healing houses or for emergencies I'm called to come over to help. But when I'm not at work, I do volunteers work at the orphange.
Christa: Whoa really? So you work with children?
Matti: Yes, I talk to kids, I read them stories, keep them company, talk and help them find homes.
Luz: Aw that's so sweet that you're helping kids.
Matti: I'm great with them. Most of them are sad or really hoping to find a new family. I try help them get through, build up their hope and ensure their happiness. Let me tell you it really brings me joy when I see them get adopted. ( sighs) Eda is so lucky.
Luz: Lucky on what?
Matti: To have you three. It would be nice to have kids of my own and well...someone to love.
Christa: Matti have you ever fallen in love with someone?
Matti: Well, not exactly. I mean I did once have crush on a...a special someone lets say. They were also a close friend growing up and well I loved every moment I spent with them. We haven't seen each other much these days however but they've been busy I'm sure. But other than them, no one has really caught my eye, either that or I've just been so busy to find a suiter. I don't know. Maybe I'm too old to start a family of my own. I am an old lady after all.
Christa: Are you kidding? You're not old. You're still young and beautiful!
Luz: Who wouldn't fall for you and you'd make a great mom. You have all the qualities to be one. You should really meet mine, I'm sure the two of you would get along great.
Christa: And you have us if you ever get lonely.
Matti: ( hugging Luz and Christa) Aw thanks. I would love to meet both your moms and I'm glad to have met you two. Just know if either of you ever need help, just know your auntie is here for you. I love you both so much.
Luz: Thank you Aunt Matti.
Christa: And we love you too.
Matti continues holding the two as she smiles and gives the two a kiss on their cheek.
King: Hey you're not forgetting me are you?
Matti smiles and picks up King, hugging and placing multiple kisses on his head.
Matti: King I would never forget about you. I love you so, so much.
As Matti continued snuggling King, she looked and saw Babalou in the distance, staring at her. She looked over at him confused.
King: Matti? Hey Matti you okay?
Matti: What? Oh I...huh?
She looked back and saw Babalou was no longer there.
Luz: You okay?
Matti: Yeah, yeah I'm fine.
Meanwhile
We cut to a club and we see Thomas Harmony surrounded by some girls and having some drinks.
Thomas: Yeah and so I said to him " That's not a lute, it's a guitar. How can you not tell the difference?"
Girls around him were giggling.
Thomas: I'm telling you, it's such rookie mistake.
Babalou: Thomas.
Thomas looked up and saw Babalou standing in front of him.
Thomas: Babalou?
Babalou: We need to talk.
Thomas: Hey can't you see I'm busy. Buzz off will ya?
Babalou formed his spear hand and striked down the table in fron of them, breaking it in half and spilling all the drinks. The girls were startled by him while Thomas looked annoyed.
Thomas: ( sighs) Ladies I'll be back with you.
The girls with Thomas left the scene leaving the two alone.
Thomas: Okay what's up?
Babalou: I'm leaving the Boiling Isles. I'm on the run from the Emperor's Coven.
Thomas: Yeah I heard. And what are you doing here? You know seeing you here I could just turn you in now and get something good out of it.
Babalou pointed his spear hand at his neck.
Babalou: You do that, I will kill you in your sleep.
Thomas: Alright no need to get nasty. What do you want?
Babalou turns his spear hand back to normal.
Babalou: I've lost all my friends and you're the only other person I can turn to. So I ask, what do you know about women?
Thomas: W-What? You came over here just to ask for dating advice.
Babalou: I nearly died of my wounds yet this witch, she found my body and healed me. I didn't say anything afterwards as I fled, but something about her is just...just...I don't know how to explain this but there is something irresistable of her.
Thomas: So you're crushing on her.
Babalou: I mean her beauty, her magic and kindness. She's perfect. She's perfect to start my life over. To rebuild the terrible trio with her as my wife.
Thomas: You want to marry her?
Babalou: She will be my wife. She's perfect for me. So what do you have for me.
Thomas: Whoa easy there. First of all you don't just go up to a woman and ask them to marry.
Babalou: You used a spell on that Owl Lady I heard a while back.
Thomas: Okay, well she was playing hard to get and I've moved on from her after my past few attempts to get her back kinda backfired. Actually wait, sometimes they play hard to get. Just sweep them off her feet, pursue her, show her what you got. Girls like a bad boy.
Babalou: Hmph, I'm already a determined witch. I'll be seeing her soon.
Meanwhile
At the Owl House.
We see Matti sitting on the couch with Christa, braiding her hair as Luz was showing the gloves she got to Eda and Lilith.
Eda: ( whistles) Oh these are nice. Boots is definitly going to like these.
Luz: I'm so excited to give them to her.
Matti: Okay everyone, behold the new and improved Christa.
Matti showed everyone Christa's new look. Her hair was now in a french braid like Matti's.
Eda: Oh whoa, Matti you really transformed her.
King: Christa is that you or did Matti turn into a kid again?
Luz: Dang girl, that is one heck of a makover.
Hooty: You look so amazing CC.
Christa: Thank you everyone. I have been considering doing something with my hair.
Lilith: Matti you have done a great job with her hair.
Matti: Well she liked my hairstyle and asked if she could give her one and I did.
Christa: I really love it Aunt Matti.
Matti: And you look so beutiful with it.
Matti kisses her head and hugs her.
Later.
Matti has just left the Owl House and was on her way home. It was night now and was walking through Bonesborough, through the night markets. As she walked the streets began to be more empty by the minute until she heard footsteps behind her. She looked behind her but no one was there. She shrugged and continued walking. But as she kept walking she heard the faint sound of someone else's footsteps again. She turned back to look. But it was so dark out she couldn't see who was her. Whoever was following her seemed to be hiding in the darkness. She turned back and started walking, until she heard footsteps again turned to who ever was there.
Matti: Hello? Is someone there?
Matti still couldn't see who was behind her. She turned and walked away, but this time sped walked as she was starting to get nervous. She kept walking fast and kept looking back to see who was following her. She still heard someone's footsteps from behind but she still couldn't see who it was.
She soon stopped at a lampost and looked back. She took out from her pocket what looked like a red potion. But before she could see who was coming to her, she heard a loud, hissing noise that startled her. She jumped and saw it was the bus. Well actually more of a giant worm used as a bus making a stop where she was standing at as passengers were getting off. Matti breathed heavily as she tried to move on. She didn't hear anything anymore. There were no footsteps behind her. Maybe who ever was stalking her had left or was scared off by the crowd.
Babalou: That mamothworm's hissing can be quite frightening.
Matti looked up and saw Babalou looking down at her from a building. He jumped off and landed in front of you.
Matti: It's you. You're that guy I found in the forest.
Babalou: ( nods) I wanted to thank you for saving me on the verge of death.
Matti: Oh, I'm glad. You were very lucky I was passing by. Are you hurt anywhere else?
Babalou: I'm fine. I'm touched by your kindness miss uh...
Matti: Mathilda.
Babalou: Mathilda. Such a beutiful name for such a beautiful witch.
Matti: ( blushes) Um right. And you are...
Babalou: What? You mean you haven't heard of me.
Matti: Should I know who you are?
Babalou: Of course. I am the great Babalou.
Matti's face formed a worried look hearing his name.
Matti: Wait, Babalou as in the Terrible Trio?
Babalou: Well, more like the Terrible Uno now. But that will change soon. I didn't follow you all day just to thank you.
Matti: So you were following me?
Babalou: I have quite the Emperor's Coven and I'm leaving the Boiling Isles to keep myself from being petrified and I'm not sticking around for this Day of Unity crap. I have two bags of gold hidden away to help me start over. But you know what I think would be perfect? A new teamate and a wife.
Matti: W-What?
Babalou took Matti's hands.
Babalou: You're very skilled with healing and I'm touched by your kindness. How about it?
Matti shook his hand off hers.
Matti: Whoa, whoa. Listen I'm flattered you're thankful of me, but I'm not interested.
Babalou: What? How can you turn down an amazing offer? You'll be with the greatest criminal of all the Demon realm. You'll have riches, power, whatever you desire.
Matti: I already have everything I could want here and I don't even know you.
Babalou: You will if you come with me.
Matti: I'm sorry but I'm not interested. Now if you excuse me.
Matti walked passed him.
Babalou: Maybe you didn't hear me right.
Babalou grabbed her arm as she gasped.
Matti: Let go of me.
Babalou: I'm not asking you.
Matti: I said no.
Babalou: You're perfect for my new team and fit to be my wife.
Babalou pulled her up to him. He now had both her arms with her up to his face.
Babalou: It'll be you and me together! We're perfect for each other!
Matti then kicked him in the groin. He yelled as he fell back. She formed her staff and vanished. One of her own abilities was invisibility. She was able to turn herself invisible for three minutes and formed her staff and flew off. Babablou while he couldn't see her, did hear her feet running and the sound of someone taking off on their staff.
Babalou: Clever girl.
Babalou's jumped up and flew after her.
After a few minutes Matti became visibile again. She looked back and breathed heavily. She sighed in relief thinking she got a way. Then she heard the sound of small engines. She looked back and saw Babalou flying towards her. She gasped and flew down to the left as Babalou followed her. Matti flew around trying to shake her off. Though she was very skilled at flying on her staff, he seemed to be just as skilled as her. Matti couldn't lose him. She would just turn invisible again, but she needed three minutes to also recharge. Once they were flying steadily, Babalou reached his arm cannon at her and shot his harpoon chains at her staff, pulling it and making Matti fall off. She fell onto a tree as she kept falling through the branches, tearing some of her dress. She fell to the ground, her glasses also fell off. She found them, but realized she lost her staff and her palisman.
Matti: Flit? Flit!?
She turned and saw Babalou standing behind her.
Matti: Get away from me.
Babalou: Come on. Don't make this harder than it needs to be.
Matti formed a serious look and formed a spell circle and fired three blue magic projectiles at him. He blocked the attacks with his arm guards. She tried again this time she brought her hands together and shot a long and wider magic projectile. It came at Babalou but he jumped up over her. Before she could do anything, he pushed her back against the tree. He held her arms tight as struggled to break free.
Babalou: Playing hard to get. I like that.
Babalou formed his hand into a hook. Matti looked scared seeing it. Babalou gently placed the hook on her cheek, but not hard enough to cut her. He then rubbed her face with his normal hand.
Babalou: You have such smooth and soft skin.
Suddenly he tore off the upper part of her dress with his hook exposing her bra making her gasp.
Babalou: What a lovely body.
Babalou kept his hook at her neck to ensure she wouldn't do anything and used his free hand to feel her. He moved his hand and fondled her breasts slowly moved it to her stomach. Matti was shaking in fear now. She was being sexually harrased by one of the most feared criminals. She couldn't do anything for if she did he would cut her. But since her arms were down her left arm did reach into her pocket and in it was a red potion. She remembered back then Eda and Lilith taught her make a pepper brew used to burn whoever would attack her like this in close range. But she had to let Babalou's guard down. Babalou was about to bring his hand lower to her body, but then she placed her hand on his, pressing against her stomach slowly brought it up to her face, kissing his hand.
Matti: Wouldn't you like to see more?
Babalou: ( silent chuckles) Turn around.
Matti turn as Babalou massaged her shoulders, rubbed her back and waist. He tried to undo her bra. Though he was having trouble at first, but then decided to use his hook and cut the strap off. But once he did, Matti reached the pepper brew and smashed at Babalou's face.
While his face was covered in a mask, some of it did get into his eye holes and had a strong stench. He let's go of her and held his face, letting out and horrific, blood curdling, inhuman scream. Matti ran the moment he let go, running as far from him as possible through the woods while holding her bra from falling off.
Babalou: What did you do to me Mathilda?! MATHILDA!?
She ran as fast as she could, she could still hear his screams but couldn't tell if he was chasing after her. Suddenly his arm reached from the shadows and grabbed hold of the right side of her hair. Matti screamed as he was pulling her hair. She tried to pull back and hit his arm to let go, but wouldn't until he pulled harder but ended up ripping some of her hair off as loud tearing sound was heard. Matti yelled out in pain, but kept running and this time turned herself invisible.
Babalou: You can't hide from me!
Babalou reached his arm cannon out and fired a yellow ball at her, upon impact yellow dust was formed on her body, showing where she was.
Babalou: You can't hide from me Mathilda! Come back to me!
Matti kept running, she would look back and shoot a magic projectile at him, but would either miss or couldn't tell if he was there due to the darkness. Finally she made it to a residential area saw Gwen's house. She ran up, rang the door bell and banged the door.
Matti: Gwen! Gwen open the door! It's me Matti!
Matti looked back and saw Babalou, slowly walking up to her. She banged the door again and did it continiously. She was beyond scared now, body was shaking and tears flowing down her face.
Matti: Gwen! Dell! Anybody please let me in! Open the door!
She looked again and Babalou was getting closer and continued banging the door.
Matti: Gwen please! Let me in please! Open the door Gwen please! Gwen please! Gwen!
