Chapter 49: Family Drama
Somewhere in Bonesborough at an apartment building we see Alador and Odalia entering their appartment from the Night Martket, carrying a bag of what looked like small abomination products. But there was something about Odalia though. She didn't appear to be old like she was when Alice cursed her, but her necklace was now blue.
Odalia: Such a long night. Definitly not our best sale.
Alador: Our independent buisness hasn't been going well lately. I've worked hard on these but people now see us as shady salespeople.
Odalia: We haven't been doing well lately. Not ever since your sister fired and cut us off! We had it all until she ruined everything and even me!
Odalia removes her necklace revealing to be a concealment stone and she reverts to her old self that she was cursed to be.
Odalia: Just look at me! I used to be young and beautiful until she cursed me.
Alador: I know, I know dear. But if it makes you feel better, you're still lovely to me.
Odalia: ( puts conealment stone back on) Flattery won't help hon. We can't live like this.
Alador: Your right. We can't. We need a proper job. I'll go talk to my sister tomorrow.
Odalia: Didn't she make it perfectly clear we're out of the buisness.
Alador: She and I went through a lot together in the past. Maybe she'll listen to me. I'll see her tomorrow. Hopefully we can get something out of her.
Odalia: I hope so too. I can't stand this place you call life any longer.
The next day.
We cut to Blight Industries in Alice's office. She was at her desk, filling some paper work and smoking a cigarrette. But she had a hard time focusing due to what's been happening lately.
Alice: ( groans) How did we mess up this bad. If I was a month ago would I have still sold my products to the Emperor? I wanted to make the world better with our company's product, not to destroy it.
Suddenly phone speaker on her desk went on.
Secretary: Ms. Blight you have a visitor.
Alice: Not now.
Secretary: But Ms. Blight, it's your brother.
Alice looked up as this caught her attention.
Secretary: He says he wants to see yo urgently.
Alice: ( sighs) Send him in.
Alice puts out the cigarrete in the ash tray and within a few minutes, Alador entered her office.
Alador: Hello Alice.
Alice: Alador, I haven't seen you in a while. Where have you been this past month?
Alador: Odalia and I have been living in an apartment. We needed to use the money we got from selling the house to make our own little independent buisness at the Night Markets.
Alice: And how is that been going?
Alador: Alright at first, but it hasn't been going great lately. Which is why I'm here.
Alice: I thought I made it clear to you Alador. Because of how you and your wife have been running things here and using your daughter...
Alador: I know! I know, it was wrong. I knew but...
Alice: You knew but you still used her. You used her as a test subject. You did the same for her girlfriend and then you tried to have her killed.
Alador: It wasn't my decision.
Alice: Of course it wasn't. It was Odalia's. Always Odalia. That's the issue. You were never running it, she was! You let her walk all over you.
Alador: She knew how to run things. She added some flare.
Alice: ( nods) There you go. You think she knows best, but she doesn't. Are you here because she told you to. If this is about trying to bet back into the buisness she can forget it.
Alador: I'm not here to beg you to be CEO again. I just need a job. I can't find a good one and we're struggling. Please Alice, don't turn me away like this. I need your help, please.
Alice looked at her brother's pleading face. She felt sympothy for him and got up.
Alice: ( sighs) You're right. I can't turn you away, you're still my little brother and you do have great engineering skills. Okay, I'll give you a job here as an engineer.
Alador: Really?
Alice: However don't expect any special treatment. You will be treated as every other employee and this is for you only. Odalia is banned.
Alador: That's, that's fair enough. Alice thank you. I... I can't thank you enough.
Alice: Come here.
Alice went up to him and the two hugged.
Alice: I can't bring myself to hate you. You're still my brother.
Alador: Thank you. One more thing but how are the kids?
Alice: The kids are doing well. I'm making sure they're well fed and comfortable.
Alador: I'm glad they're doing okay. You seem to be doing well taking care of them.
Alice: I treat them as if they were my own.
Alador: Then can I see them?
Alice: Well. I mean I would say you can, but they may not be happy to see you.
Alador: I just want to talk to them. See how they are. Especially to Amity. Please Alice.
Alice: Alright, you can but not Odalia. I don't want her anywhere near them. You can meet me when I get off and I'll take you to them
Alador: Alright.
We cut back to Alador returning to his apartment with Odalia sitting on the chair with some tea.
Odalia: Well, did you see her? What did she say?
Alador: I have some good news. I did convince her to let me get a job as an engineer.
Odalia: That's it? That's all you got from her. Just a job as an engineer?
Alador: You knew our chances to be CEO were slim to begin with. This was the best I could get. It's still a good paying job.
Odalia: Good is not good enough. We're capable of much more than engineers.
Alador: Actually about that, she said it was only for me.
Odalia: What?! I'm not part of it?
Alador: She said it was for me only and didn't want you in any part of it.
Odalia: I don't believe her. She's only doing this because she never liked me.
Alador: You know it's more than that. We wouldn't have been in this situation if...
Odalia: If what? What are you going to say?
Alador stopped talking as Odalia was showing her more aggressive side.
Odalia: Spit it out. What are you going to say, because of how we treated our kids.
Alador: Well, I mean don't you think we were hard on Amity?
Odalia: Everything we did for her was for her own good and for the family.
Alador: But did you really have to go as far as poisoning her girlfriend.
Odalia: Our Mittens was perfect until she came in and ruined her! I'd rather be dead than to allow that low life human to date our daughter! She's one of the main reasons we lost our buisness and fortune.
Alador: Odalia please calm down. I know we faced some hard struggles lately but this is our chance to start over. Alice is the heir to the company and the trust fund, but give it time and maybe in time she'll trust us again.
Odalia: Alright, fine. We'll see.
Odalia gets up and leaves to the bedroom. She then took out a raven phone and dialed a number on it.
?: Yeah
Odalia: It's me. I think I have another job for you.
?: Not this again. I nearly died from your last one.
Odalia: I promise you'll be paid plentifully.
Later that day.
Hunter was making his way outside to meet up with Luz and Christa for his next glyph lessons. Edric and Emira were out with them as was Amity, however she was sitting near a tree by herself but kept a close eye on Hunter to make sure he didn't do anything funny.
Luz: Hey Hunter. Is it fine we do our lessons here today.
Hunter: Oh yeah it's fine. Glad to see you two here.
Christa: Well we have a special guest who wants to see you.
Luz and Christa step aside revealing Willow.
Willow: Hello Hunter.
Hunter: Captain! This is an unexpected surprise. You wanted to see me?
Willow: Luz told me what happened when you three went into Belos's mind. I know you have a lot on your mind right now, but I want you to know that you also have my support. I want to give you a chance, especially after we played Flyer Derby together.
Hunter: I see. Thank you Captain.
Willow: Please call me Willow.
Hunter: Thank you Willow. So how are Gus and Alex?
Willow: They're doing fine, but they're not ready to see you yet.
Hunter: It's fine. I really screwed a lot of you.
He looked over at Amity who was glaring at him as Luz notices.
Luz: Did you talk to Amity?
Hunter: Yes. I did as you said. I tried to apologize and be sincere like you said, but she still hates me and is watching me like I'm going to kill someone.
Christa: Did you try baking her something.
Hunter: Actually this morning I tried to cook her breakfast but...( exhales) uh...I kinda, may of set the stove on fire.
Luz: Are you serious?
Emira: Oh you should have seen it. It was worse than the time Ed thought it was a good idea to put a griffin egg in a microwave.
Edric: I said I was sorry. I was curious okay.
Hunter: I really can't cook and then there was this morning.
Flashback
Earlier that same day.
Hunter was going to bathroom as he had to pee. He was running through the hallway to get to it, but once he did he saw Amity standing in front of the door wearing a purple bath robe.
Hunter: Oh uh, morning Amity.
Amity: What do you want now?
Hunter: Uh well I can tell you're about to take a shower.
Amity: Bath.
Hunter: Bath okay, but that will take some time but I really got to take a wiz which will only take a minute, not even. So I can please use the bathroom first? I promise I'll wash my hands.
Amity didn't answer him and enters the bathroom shutting and locking the door. Hunter could hear her turning on the water, readying her bath. Hunter just stood there pacing around jumping as he really had to go. Then motioned over to a potted plant behind him.
Hunter: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O...PEEEEEEEEEE!
Flashback ends.
Luz, Willow and Christa: Ew!
Hunter: I'm sorry I couldn't hold it and theres only two bathrooms in this whole mansion, the other being in Alice's room but we're not aloud to use hers. Please don't tell her I did that.
Luz looks over at Amity again and see's her keeping a close watch on him still.
Luz: I see. You were not kidding, she does appear to hate you way more than she used to hate me.
Hunter: Really? But I thought she was your awesome girlfriend as she always bragged about.
Luz: We weren't always girlfriends. When we were first met, actually when I first met Willow I pretended to be her abomination assignment, made her lose title of top student and then tried to get our principle to disect me. Then there was the time at the covention where we had our duel and that ended kinda badly as were both exposed of cheating and she got embarresed. And then there was the time when I found her diary and accidentally looked into a few pages and...oh man, I'm surprised we're even in a relationship.
Emira: Well the diary part was more our fault. Mainly Ed's.
Edric: Yeah that was...hey!
Luz: Okay Willow, Christa why don't you show him the basics on plant magic. I'll be right back.
Willow: Sure thing.
Christa: Go on ahead.
As Willow and Christa trained Hunter with plant magic, Luz approached Amity.
Luz: Hey.
Amity: ( looks up and smiles) Hey.
Luz: Mind if I sit down?
Amity pats the ground next to her for Luz to sit down.
Amity: I didn't think you wanted to spend time with me.
Luz wraps her arms around Amity and kisses her cheek making her giggle.
Luz: You really think I'm going to ignore my awesome girlfriend?
Amity: No.
Luz: Amity, how are you warming up with Hunter?
Amity: ( frowns) I'm not warming up at all. Luz why are you teaching him glyph magic? He's the Golden Guard.
Luz: That was then, this is now. He's with us now.
Amity: How do you know? You have to be careful with someone like him.
Luz: I am being careful, but I assure you he's done nothing evil.
Amity: Not yet. Once he tries to get through to you of his feelings, he'll take what he needs.
Luz: He won't do that.
Amity; Luz how can you trust him?! He tricked me that he would send the five after you if I didn't give him the key. He's a liar and a thief!
Luz: Amity calm down.
Amity: I just...I thought you trusted me. I'm honest with you, I would never lie to you. Do you think I'm lying?
Luz: Of course not. Hey.
Luz placed her hand on her cheek and had her face towards her.
Luz: Of course I believe you. I trust you the most because you're my girlfriend. You've never steered me wrong.
Amity: I'm just saying, you can't trust him. He's done things that are unforgivable.
Luz: Like you?
Amity: What?
Luz: When we first met you were mean to me, Willow and Gus. You picked on us without an ounce of decency. I could have saw you as a bully, but then I saw you reading to those kids showing me you do have a good side. I wanted to be your friend yet you kept pushing me away. I could have just stopped and let you be, but I didn't because I wanted to start over with you and look where it got us. Look where it got you. You have real friends who will back you up and a girlfriend who loves and cares for you.
Amity: That's differnt Luz. I wasn't always a bad person, it was my stupid parents who made me that way and Boscha definitly didn't help make it better.
Luz: Same with Hunter. Everything he did was for Belos. He was a bad influence to him just as your mom was to you. But you stopped letting her defy who you are as he is with Belos. He's trying to find a better path and we're the only ones he trusts. We're the only ones who can help him right now. Can you please give him another chance?
Amity looked at Luz and did see her point. She felt she was lucky to even have Luz by her side despite how she used to treat her.
Amity: If he wants my trust he's going to have to prove it. I see your point but I'm still going to keep my eye on him.
Luz: I understand. Thanks for listening Ami.
Amity pulled Luz into a hug and kisses her cheek.
Amity: I'm sorry I yelled Batata.
Luz: Don't be. I get your concerned for me.
Alice: Kids.
Amity: Aunt Alice.
Amity turns around seeing Alice with a smile, but it went away when she saw her dad with her.
Amity: Dad?
Luz: Alador?
Alador: Uh, hello Mittens.
Alice: Kids, your father is here to see you. Please come.
Amity: ( groans) I'll be back.
Amity gets up and goes with Edric and Emira as they approach Alice and Alador.
Alador: Do you mind if I have this in private?
Alice: You can go inside.
Alador and his kids enter inside the mansion as they stood around the main entrance, though his kids didn't look to happy to see him.
Alador: Kids, it's been a while.
Amity: Is mom here too?
Alador: Relax it's just me, Alice wouldn't allow your mother to come.
Emira: Well she was right not to.
Alador: Listen I just want to see you. I'm trying to get back on my feet and Alice was nice enough to let me have a job. That was the first step and next was to make amends with you.
Amity: Amends? Since when did you start feeling bad for us?
Alador: I always felt for you three, especially you Mittens?
Amity: Really? You felt for me? Like the time your invention broke my leg?
Alador: I will admit that was an ufortunate accident but I did ensure you got the best medical care.
Amity: But you hardly checked on me afterwards. Or what about just regular needs?
Alador: Of course I do that. Emira what about that time at Hexside's father daughter dance.
Emira: You never showed up because of your work.
Alador: Oh right, well Edric what about the time I went to your games.
Edric: You never came to one and you always forgot to pick me up. I had to walk home the whole season and took me two hours to get home. Two hours!
Alador: Oh really? I swear I keep forgetting.
Amity: See? You don't talk to us anymore. All you care about your inventions. Whenever you're not at work, you're busy trying to fix that...that abomiton monster you had in your lab.
Alador: I know. I know I allowed my work to distance myself from you all but I want to talk to you now. I never realized how much I missed you all until I lost custody. But I want to make things right with you.
Amity: You seriously want to make things right after all these years? You never cared about us! You always sided with mom.
Alador: Of course I do. Everything we ever did was for your own good.
Amity: My own good? You call cutting ties with Willow, one my closest friends since I was little my own good? You and mom threatened to get her expelled if I didn't stop being her friend because she wasn't powerful with magic.
Alador: Okay sure, but I did see how skilled she was with her magic and she's actually not bad so it's fine now.
Amity: No it isn't. I was mean to her for a while and only recently did we just become friends again and I'm trying so hard to make up with her. And don't get me started with Luz! Not only did you use her as a lab rat, but you sent that beast keeper after her and then you poisoned her!
Alador: I swear I had nothing to do with any of those. It was all your mother. But I was against it. I knew it was wrong but...
Amity: But you allowed her still. I nearly lost my girlfriend twice because of her and you didn't do anything to stop her. You...
Amity looked away as small tears formed in her eyes.
Amity: You never stepped in to help. You let her make all the decisions. You allowed her to hit me.
Alador: Mittens please, I'm so sorry for the abuse she caused you. I coulnd't stand it either.
Amity: Then why didn't you tell her to stop or do anything?
Alador: I...I...
Amity: Yeah, I thought so. I already have enough unwelcomed company here, I don't need anymore. Now please go.
Alador: But Mittens.
Amity: I said go!
Alador was tacken back by her shouting. He looked over at Edric and Emira but they had their arms crossed and turned their back from them. Alador seeing he appeared to be unwelcomed and so he sighs and exits the mansion as Alice stood outside but heard the fight. Luz also witnessed the fight as she saw it all through the window and peaked to see Alador talking with Alice.
Alador: ( sighs) Well that went horribly.
Alice: Alador I'm sorry. I swear I didn't teach them to hate you.
Alador: I know. It's not your fault. It's mine. I failed as a father.
Alice: I'm sure with time they'll talk to you again. See you at work tomorrow.
Alador: Yeah, see you then.
Alador hugs Alice and leaves. Luz followed Alador out of the mansion gates.
Luz: Hey wait. Alador.
Alador turned around and saw Luz.
Alador: It's you. Luz was it. Uh, this akward. Listen I don't expect you to forgive me but I'm sorry for what Odalia has done to you. I swear to you that I had nothing to do with any of your assasinations.
Luz: Forget about it, besides it's not the first time someone tried to kill me. But I heard what happened.
Alador: You heard the whole converstation.
Luz: Yeah and I just want to say that I thinks good of you to try and reconnect with you kids.
Alador: Really? Well I wished they thought so too.
Luz: Just give Amity time. Admitting your faults is your first step. She doens't realize it, but she should be fortunate that she still has her dad and that he wanted to see her. I mean, I think she should be fortunate. ( frowns) I lost my dad when I was very young.
Alador: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.
Luz: It's fine. It was a long time ago. But I do hope one day the two of you can make things right.
Alador: Yeah, me too. Thank you Luz, I can see why Mittens likes you. She's always happy when she's around you. Take care of yourself and look after her for me.
With that Alador leaves. Luz goes back in and her first instinct was to go inside to check Amity, but then she noticed Hunter, Willow and Christa had stopped training as they were looking at something on Willow's penstagram.
Hunter: I don't believe it.
Luz: What's going on?
Willow: Luz you might want to look at this.
Luz: What is it?
Christa: Hunter has just been replaced.
Luz looked confused but ran over to the trio and watched video, it was a live broadcast from Belos's castle.
Emperor Belos: Children of the Isles, these past couple months have been rough as we have had not one but two deserters in my coven. Which is why I'm bringing my next runner up. But I assure you that the next one in line is worthy. Behold!
A fanfare music was made as path was cleared out as new figure was approaching Belos. Everyone in the room eye's widened in shock.
Hunter: No way.
Christa: Oh you got to be kidding me.
The one who was approaching Belos and Hipporit was Selene.
Hipporit: Selene Crimson. I was wrong to have convinced our Emperor in choosing the wrong witch for the job.
Emperor Belos: You've served my coven for years and your devotion is strong. I should've chosen you for the job to begin with. You went from top scout, to luitenent, to being part of the Legion of Five. You've been the most trusted, skilled and loyal witch here and for that I bestow upon you this.
Emperor Belos shows her in his hands the Emperor's Coven medallion.
Selene: Emperor Belos. Being part of the Emperor's Coven has been my life long career but being Head witch has always been my goal. I know we've had two rouge witches betraying you and this is unacceptabl. I swear on my life to you and Titan that I will not dissapoint you. You will not regret this decision. I will help you accomplish the Day of Unity and I will bring the two traitors into justice.
Emperor Belos: I'm sure you will.
As the broadcast keeps playing we cut to Eda and Lilith also watching it, the latter nodding her head.
Eda: Look at her, she thinks she's Queen of the World now.
Lilith: She finally did it. She finally got what she wanted. The job that as she puts, I " stole" from her. She must feel so proud of herself.
Selene takes the medallion and shows it to the camera.
Emperor Belos: Congratulations, Head Witch Selene Crimson!
The audience applauds for her as the others turns it off.
Hunter: I don't believe it. He just replaced me just like that.
Christa: But now that Selene is Head Witch, what does this mean for us?
Luz: We'll wait see, but we have to prepared.
Hunter: You should. I was going easy on you guys because of our moments but knowing Selene, she'll do anything to please Belos and...argh.
Luz: Hunter?
Hunter held his chest as he felt the pain in his chest again.
Willow: Hey are you okay?
Christa: Hunter?
Hunter kept grunting as he took out from his pocket his medicine, took a pill and swallowed it. The pain stopped as Luz and Willow helped him up.
Luz: Are you alright?
Hunter: ( panting) I'm...I'm fine.
Willow: You did not look fine. You were in serious pain.
Christa: What's wrong Hunter?
Hunter: I...well I guess should tell you guys but, lately I've been feeling pain in my chest.
Christa: Wait, I saw this happen once with you.
Luz: How long has this been going on?
Hunter: Well, almost a month actually.
Christa: A month?!
Luz: Haven't you gotten medical help on this? Does Belos know about your condition.
Hunter: I went to see the Doc, he said until he could really figure out what was wrong with me he prescribed to me these painkillers to soothe the pain. And no, I never told Belos because I didn't want to be replaced. He never took kindly to unhealthy scouts.
Willow: Hunter if this has been going on for a while this could serious.
Christa: She's right this isn't normal. I'm worried about your health. I don't want you to...I don't want to lose you.
Hunter: ( taking her hand) Hey, easy Red. I'm not going anywhere. Don't worry.
Christa: I can't just not worry.
Luz: I'm glad you told us. Come on, let's head back to the Owl House. We'll have Eda call Aunt Matti.
Hunter: Who's Aunt Matti?
Christa: Only the best healer we know. She can help.
Hunter: And she's your aunt?
Luz: She prefers we call her that.
Christa: Plus she did my hair.
Meanwhile
We cut to Odalia out at night wearing a cloak. She was near a storage unit as another hooded figure approached her.
Odalia: You're late.
?: I was finishing my last job. I told you I'd be here later.
Odalia: Whatever. Glad you could make it though, Monsieur Bolst.
The figure removed his cloak revealing himself to be Monsieur Bolst, but it looked like he had a red burn around his left eye.
Monsieur Bolst: Had I not unleashed my aquatic beast Zola to save me, I would have been boiled to death. But still didn't make it unharmed.
Odalia: I know, I know and I'm sorry you had to go through that. But I'm glad your okay old friend.
Monsieur Bolst: Hmph, so what is it you called me for?
Odalia: Recently I've hit rock bottom. Thanks to that dreaded sister in law of mine.
Monsieur Bolst: Ah yes I heard. You lost your buisness and fortune and your husband's sister now runs it.
Odalia: Yes, but there is a way for me to get that back. If someting unfortunate were to happen to Alice, Alador would become heir to the the company and the trust fund.
Monsieur Bolst: So you called me here to assassinate her? This isn't going to be like last time is it?
Odalia: I promise you it won't. Help me and I'll pay you double with the reclaimed fortune.
Monsieur Bolst: Hmm, you do drive a hard bargain. You want me to use another beast?
Odalia: No, I have something special for you.
Odalia opens the storage unit they were standing in front of and shows him a deactivated Abomiking.
Monsieur Bolst: What is that?
Odalia: That is our shelved project, Abomiking. Made from the bones of an actual demon but he developed a mind of his own and went wild. Alice ordered us to destroy it but of course we didn't. Alador tried his best to fix him but no luck and once we sold the house we moved him into storage until we could figure out what to do with him. But now I do. Since this thing is part demon, do you think you can control him?
Monsieur Bolst: Hmm, interesting. I may have an idea but I need to go back to inform my boss.
Odalia: ( smirks) Good, we'll begin tomorrow. I'll finally have my revenge.
Meanwhile
We cut to Emperor Belos's castle as Selene accompanied by Dr. Cushing and Kikimora entered the Legion of Five's lounge.
Mikela: Well, well, well. Look who it is. The new Head Witch of the Emperor's Coven.
Satarakura: Let's hear it for our Selene. Hooray, hooray, hooray!
Selene: Pipe down, I don't want to celebrate just yet.
Voffa: What's the deal? You've longed for this position. You always complained how you would have run things better than Lilith or the Golden Guard.
Selene: I may of gotten my dream job, but now I need to show Belos what I'm truly capable of. I'm lucky I even got this had the Golden Guard not flaked out on us.
Voffa: Ha, the nerve that brat. He's the Emperor's nephew yet he betrayed him.
Mikela: But I'm sure we can all agree we're more than happy that brat is out of here.
Kikimora: I'm overjoyed. Now we can finally put that boy in his place. After always making us look bad.
Kikimora: Hold it Kikimora. He maybe a traitor but the Emperor made it clear that he wants him back here alive and unharmed.
Dr. Cushing: That's right He will face trial for his crimes and will have suitable punishment.
Voffa: Petrification I hope.
Satarakura: Yeah. Hey Shady, you haven't said anything yet. You of all people must be happy you don't have to work with Goldy. You hated him the most right? Shady?
Shadam didn't say a thing. He just sat in front of his fire just staring at it. Selene noticed how tensed up he was.
Satarakura: Shady?
Shadam: Everyone get out. I need some time alone.
Voffa: What?
Mikela: This is our lounge! You can't just kick us out for your alone time.
Shadam: I said leave!
Shadam's eyes were turning red as electricity was forming around his body. Everyone were on edge seeing him in that state.
Selene: Do as he says. Get out now!
Mikela: What, but Selene.
Selene: You want to get killed the worst way ever?
Mikela: ( groans) No.
Selene: Then you better go. Satarakura, wait for me outside. I have a special assigment for you to get ready.
Satarakura: OH! For me? Oh, hohohoho! I love speical assingments!
Mikela, Voffa and Satarakura leaves ( witht he latter laughing out) as Selene approaches Shadam. Selene took a blue potion from her waist and hurried over to Shadam and had him drink it to calm him down. His eyes turned back to yellow and the electricity disappeared.
Selene: Shadam what have I said about keeping your anger at bay. Are you trying to kill us?
Shadam: I messed up
Selene: You mean with the curse you placed on the Golden Guard?
Shadam: After what he did at Latissa, I cursed him with the Scorpions Curse. But now I regret what I've done.
Kikimora: Oh but we were so excited to see that twerp finally get what he deserved.
Shadam: But now that Belos specified that he wants him alive and unharmed this is a big problem! The curse set to take its toll in less than week. If he ends up dead and Belos finds out that it was my doing, this could be the end for me.
Selene: Can't you just lift it?
Shadam: I don't know how! If Cushing doesn't know how could I?
Dr Cushing: I mean I knew what was wrong with him but one I don't know how to lift a dark curse like this and even if I did, I too wanted to see him die. Either way you shouldn't have done that Shadam. Especially since he's the Emperor's nephew.
Shadam: Shut up! Now leave, I must have make contact with my master.
Kikimora: Your old master? But isn't he dead?
Shadam: I mean spiritually. He knows more than I. Now go, please.
Selene: ( sighs) Leave him be. You can come out when you behave.
Selene, Dr. Cushing and Kikimora leaves. Shadam was left all alone as he brought his hands together and began to chant. It started off slow but then his eyes sparked as the flames erupted and started chanting faster as the flames kept erupting.
Shadam: I call to you the monks of Zabi! I call to you Master Dozle! Help me! Help me find the cure for the Scorpions Curse! Help me like you have before!
The flames erupted as it then formed into a fiery figure, though his face was obscured by the flames.
Shadam: Master Dozle.
The figure raised his hand and ray shot down at Shadam's face as his eyes began to glow purple.
Shadam: Yes. Yes! I can see it! I can lift the curse! I...
But then Shadam gasped when he began to have vision. He saw Hunter, Luz and Christa. They were fighting him. But then he began scream as ice, fire and vines began erupting out of his body and explodes. Shadam gasps and falls back as the flames died down.
Shadam: That vision. Did I...did I just witness my own death?

Author's Note: That's it for this chapter. Didn't think I'd bring back Alador and Odalia did you. Tell you the truth their last appearence was supposed to be it for them, but after I uploaded that chapter " Reaching Out" had aired and I did regret doing Alador dirty. But I can finally fix that and this was the only time I could think to bring in more plot elements and build ups for future arcs.
