Chapter 55: Glory for the Doragoris Clan

Part 2

Featuring Doragoris Demon, Kalayavan

Sea Coral Choju, Bakshin &

Termite Demon, Termatra

Eda and Lilith weren't doing too well against a large group of monsters. They fought off some of the Dorodoros but then Bakshin roared and tried ramming into the two. They got out of the way as Termatra grabbed Lilith with his mandibles and tried to crush her. Eda helped her by forcefully opening his mandibles to free her. But then Kalayavan roared and hits her across the head from behind. Kalayavan breathed his heat ray at Eda but manages to dodge as she helps Lilith up and the two were being surrounded.

Mikela: We got you now. Where's your rebel friends now? Hahahaha...huh?

Mikela felt a tap on his back. He looked behind and saw no one, but he didn't see a fire glyph placed on his back. The glyph activated as it sent Mikela flying into a tree.

Voffa: What?

Ice was forming on the ground as ice spikes came close at Voffa, almost getting his eye. It then shows Luz and Christa turning visible after using an invisibility glyph. Luz had multiple glyphs in her hand as Christa had her hands with fire and ice on them.

Harpy Eda: Luz. It hasn't even been an hour yet.

Luz: Sorry Eda, but it was hard after 30 minutes.

Kalayavan roared when he saw Luz and Christa.

Kalayavan: Ah, you again.

Kalayavan breathed his heat ray at the two. Luz placed an ice glyph on the ground which made an ice pillar. The ice pillar cancelled the attack and Christa raised her hand up as a stone pillar then hits Kalayavan to the ground.

Harpy Eda: Well, glad to see you here.

Harpy Lilith: Wait you left Seraphina alone?

Seraphina: Don't worry Lilith.

She looked up and saw Seraphina on her staff.

Seraphina: I'm here too.

Mikela: Grrr Luz, Christa! You again!? Dorodoros, Bakshin attack!

The Dorodoros and Bakshin approached the group. Seraphina formed a spell circle as her eyes began to glow orange. Coming out of the ground were a group of meganulon demons that Luz recalled encountering once the night she met Seraphina. But these ones summoned by her did as she said and attacked the Dorodoros and Bakshin.

Termatra was coming next for the group, Seraphina landed down. She used her staff to help support her as she was still hurt. But she used her magic to tame Termatra.

Seraphina: Stop where you are!

She formed a spell circle as tried to calm him down. Though he resisted at first, he finally stopped trying to attack.

Seraphina: That's it. That's it, you're mine now.

Kalayavan roared as he was coming at the group.

Seraphina: Go, attack him.

Termatra roared and did as she said and attacked Kalayavan. As the two demons were busy fighting each other, Mikela and Voffa approached the group with the Dorodoros.

Mikela: There is no escape for you this time. Attack!

The Dorodoros came at Luz, Christa and Eda. Luz had placed a plant glyph on the floor as vines came out of the ground and grabbed hold of some of them. Christa froze some of them with her ice magic as Eda clawed and kicked down some of them. They were now facing Mikela and Voffa.

Mikela fired his lightning beam from his staff and Voffa his eye beam at Luz and Christa. Christa rose a pillar from the ground to block the attack. It explodes and ice was coming towards the two villains. They stepped back as they were almost stabbed by the ice. Then Luz appeared in front of Mikela and Christa in front of Voffa, becoming visible after using and invisible glyph. Mikela and Voffa were caught off guard and had no time to react. The girls used fire magic to attack and then formed a wave of water ( Luz using a combo glyph while Christa used her own) and froze them.

Eda and Lilith came at the two frozen villains and slashed across the two, breaking the ice as they fell to the ground. Voffa however was screaming in agony as he held his head and a couple of horns from his head broke off.

We then cut to Kalayavan and Termatra still fighting. Termatra tried biting into Kalayavan, but he grabbed onto his mandibles from biting down. He forcfully opened them wide and broke them off. Termatra roared in pain and tried to retreat, but Kalayavan grabbed hold of him and hits him across the head and onto the floor. Kalayavan then stomped his foot down onto Termatra's leg, breaking it. Termatra roared in pain as Kalayavan bit into his back neck. He twisted his neck until a snap was heard.

Kalayavan drops Termatra's dead body and set his attention back at Seraphina roaring at her. Before he could do anything, Luz stepped up to him and shined a light glyph at his eyes. Kalayavan roars as he covers his eyes and steps back. As he regained his vision however he saw that everyone was gone. He growled as he looks back at Mikela and Voffa, the latter was on his knees looking badly hurt as Mikela checked on him and a Dorodoro dressed as a nurse was checking on his broken horns.

Kalayavan: No resting. We must go.

Mikela: Hold on there. Voffa's hurt.

Voffa: It hurt's so bad Mikela.

Mikela: I know. We're heading back.

Kalayavan: No! We move on now!

Mikela: We can come back and hunt the enemy or whatever this mission of yours is once we're healed up.

Kalayavan: ( growls) Useless witches.

Voffa: Useless? Watch your tongue demon.

Voffa winches from his pain.

Mikela: We head back now.

Kalayavan: Fine, run away like cowards you are. I never needed you for this anyway. I'm taking your troops however. Atleast what's left of them.

Mikela: Bakshin.

Bakshin approaches Mikela with a soft growl.

Mikela: Keep an eye on him. Make sure he returns to the castle when he's done.

Bakshin nods with a growl.

We then cut to the others flying back to the Owl House. Eda and Lilith still flying in their harpy forms, Christa on her staff and Luz flying with Seraphina.

Harpy Eda: So where's King?

Luz: We had him stay. We didn't want him anywhere near this thing.

Harpy Lilith: Seraphina you should have stayed with him.

Seraphina: Hooty is there with him. He's a strong one after all. Besides I couldn't allow these two to go alone. I wouldn't have felt right. I can still use my magic without hurting myself.

They soon made it back to Owl House. Eda and Lilith turned back into their normal selves and entered seeing King with Hooty.

King: ( hugs Eda) You're back!

Eda: ( hugs him back) Course I'm back. Were you that worried for me?

Lilith: Edalyn what are we to do now? We couldn't even beat him in our harpy forms.

Eda: We were outnumbered by a lot.

Lilith: It wasn't just that. Kalayavan could have killed us himself.

Eda: I know and I know he'll be coming for us soon.

Christa: What are we going to do? What if he does come here soon?

Eda: Luz did the notes say how you can beat one of these things.

Luz: Only that trained Kamerian soldiers can take on these guys. They're not invincible but very hard to kill.

Christa: Would we even call ourselves trained soldiers?

Luz: I don't know about that. But maybe, maybe we could lure him to a trap.

Eda: You got something in mind kiddo?

Meanwhile

We cut to Emperor Belos in Keizer's room.

( Queue Naraku's theme)

Keizer: So, the son of Ginga is still at large.

Emperor Belos: It's what I've been informed Master. I swear I thought the Skull Canis have been all been hunted down.

Keizer: That task I entrusted to the Titan Trappers. I need you more here for the upcoming Blood Moon Eclipse Belos. But this is getting too much out of hand. First Euphemia is found with the power of the Eye and the new Titan is roaming around in the Boiling Isles. Can no one get a simple task done?!

Emperor Belos: Rest assured Master, Kalayavan is out to hunt him down.

Keizer: You fool! If he devours the skull cani, he will develop his power. I want to be the only living Titan for my return.

Emperor Belos: I haven't forgotten that Master. I told Kalayavan to return here after he is done.

Emperor Belos then formed his hand into a scythe.

Emperor Belos: I will ensure you are the only one and end the blood line.

Keizer: Perhaps I misjudged you Belos.

Meanwhile

We cut to outside the Owl House. Everyone was hiding in the tower part of the house. At the bottom was Hooty, with his head dressed like King. With his face peaking from the chest while the rest of the costume was made to look like King.

King: Eda, this is never going to work.

Eda: Don't worry. Hooty does a great impression of you.

Christa: Are you sure it's okay to use Hoot Hoot as bait? I'm worried about him.

Hooty: Don't worry about me CC. Look at me I'm King! I'm the King of alllllllll the Titans. I'm gonna grow big and strong one day! Hoot, Hoot! I mean weh! Weh, weh, weh!

King: Ugh, I do not sound like that.

Luz: Just stay in character Hooty. Remember we have to trap him.

The scene motions to the ground and notices multiple large spots of leaves covering the ground.

Luz: We have multiple ice glyphs placed on the ground since we're not sure which direction he'll come from.

Seraphina: I don't normally like doing someting like this as I'm against hunting. But this one we're dealing with is a real monster.

Then they heard footsteps from the distance. Loud ones.

Luz: Here he comes.

And so they saw Kalayavan entering the area as he roared.

Eda: ( whispers) Everybody get down.

Hooty: Oh uh, hey Kala! Look at me I'm King! You want me! I'm right here. All alone and no one to protect me.

Kalayavan stood there sniffing. He let out a small growl as he slowly approached Hooty. The others just watched anxiously for him to step on the glyph. But as he started moving the Dorodoros came in next as did Bakshin.

Christa: I don't think we made enough for all of them.

Luz: We just need Kalayavan to step on it. Come on.

One of Dorodoro runs and steps on the trap and freezes instantly from the glyph. Kalayavan stopped as did Bakshin. Bakshin roared and breathed fire at the ground, burning off the leaves and glyphs.

Eda: Shoot. He knows.

Kalayavan sniffed around the area and looked up. He opened his mouth as his mouth began to shine for his heat ray.

Eda: Everyone take cover!

Kalayavan fired his heat ray at the tower as it explodes. We then see coming down the flames Eda and Lilith in their harpy forms landing to the ground. Eda was holding Luz, Christa and King as Lilith held onto Seraphina.

Kalayavan: That's a nice try. You really thought you could fool me?

Kalayavan looked closer and saw King.

Kalayavan: Titan!

Kalayavan roared ran over at the group. Eda ran at him first and rammed into him with her shoulder. He was pushed back a little.

Bakshin roared and came at Lilith and Seraphina. Lilith grabbed him by his horn and hits him on the head and pushes him on his back. She got on top of him and began punching him until he breathed fire right at her. Lilith got out of the way before he could burn her. Bakshin continued breathing fire at Lilith as all she could do was dodge, Seraphina took a water glyph she had gotten from Luz and used it to put out the fire coming from his mouth. Bakshin sets his attention at Seraphina and roars. She forms a few spell circles and summons what look like giant worms out of the ground and had them constrict Bakshin.

Bakshin roared as he bit down one worm, breaking it in half and did so with the other. Bakshin broke free and came at Seraphina again about to ram her. She got ready to counter the attack, but then Hooty appeared to defend her. He let out a loud hoot and rammed his head into Bakshin's head, knocking him to the ground.

Hooty: Ow! It's like hitting your head onto concrete. Ow hoot.

We then cut to Lilith and in her hand she had a potion bomb. Bakshin got back up and roared, about to breathe fire at Seraphina and Hooty. Right before he did she threw the potion bomb at his face. His fire made impact with it and creates a fiery explosion. Bakshin's head was set on fire as he lets out a dying roar and falls to the ground as the rest of his body is set on fire.

We cut to Luz, Christa and King fighting the Dorodoros. King took out some of them with his sonic wave. Christa formed some wind and into a small tornado, gathering some of them and then used her lightning to electrocute them and Luz used fire and plant magic glyphs to take out the last few. Her attention then set to Eda who was doing her best fighting Kalayavan. She placed a few punches on his stomach and at his face. He swiped across her face and kicked her to the ground. Eda got back up but then he grabbed onto her and bit down into her shoulder. Eda let out a shriek as blood was dripping from her shoulder.

Luz: Eda!

Christa: Luz wait!

Luz placed an ice glyph on the ground and ice spike slashed across his back. Kalayavan lets go of Eda and turns to Luz, first breaking the ice in his way and shooting his heat ray near her feet, falling to the floor.

Harpy Eda: Luz!

Eda winched from her shoulder pain but tried to stop Kalayavan and grabbed his tail. Kalayavan looked back and shook her off. Before Luz could get up, Kalayavan grabbed her by her shirt and lifted her up to his face.

Kalayavan: Hmm, I've tasted the blood of Kamerians and Skull Canis, but never human. Is it tasty? Is it salty? Is it scrumptious?

Kalayavan was drooling but he didn't pay attention to Luz's hand as she was pulling a fire glyph out of her pocket. She quickly placed it on his face and it activated. Kalayavan roared in agony as he dropped Luz and held his face. We now see part of his face burnt and angry. He was about to kill Luz until Christa used her plant magic and tied up his hands and lassoed his neck. Christa formed lightning from her hands and him. Kalayavan cancelled the attack breathing his heat ray at the lightning. He broke free from the vines and hits Christa with his tail as she is flown to Luz.

Kalayavan: A kamerian witch here. I didn't think I'd ever see another one of you again. But you look familiar.

Kalayavan approached the two girls but then King stepped in his way.

King: Stop!

Kalayavan did so and stopped where he was at staring at King.

Christa: King no!

Christa and Luz got back up and shield King as Eda, Lilith, Seraphina and Hooty also joined them.

Kalayavan: It really is you. The long lost son of the Ginga.

Seraphina: What?

Seraphina looked at King and then back at Lilith who looked away.

King: You were there weren't you?

Kalayavan: There?

King: At my tower. You were the one who originally attacked it weren't you?

Kalayavan: Impressive, you remember things despite not hatching yet. More the reason why I should devour you.

Harpy Eda: You won't be eating King!

Christa: What has he ever done to you?

Kalayavan: He has something that should have been for us! The powers of the Titan.

Luz: This is what it's all about.

Kalayavan: We the Doragoris clan are outraged that a member of the Skull Canis was chosen by the universe. That one of their kind shall be born as the son and reincarnation of a Titan, wielding such great power. But it's all wrong. That power should belong to the Doragoris clan. We are a much stronger race. We're the ones that were living troubled lives, we should have had a hero among our people.

Christa: Your kind was at war with ours. You've killed innocents and tried to take what didn't belong to you.

Luz: Besides, the Skull Canis were worthy of being chosen.

Kalayavan: Ah yes, because they participated in the battle against that monster so I've heard. But look at him, he doesn't even know how to use his full power. Had it been to us our children learns to fight at 8 months. This shows he is not worthy to have that power. Give him to me so I shall devour him.

Luz: What?

Kalayavan: If I eat him, I will gain that power and the world will know fear from the Doragoris Clan. This realm belongs to us! Step aside and perhaps I will spare you in my new world.

Harpy Eda: Over our dead bodies.

Harpy Lilith: You stay away from my nephew.

Kalayavan: So, that's how it's going to be.

Kalayavan breathed his heat ray at the group. King ends up hitting the wall of the house and to his horror he see's Luz, Christa and Eda on the floor hurt.

King: Guys! No.

King runs to Luz and Christa.

King: Luz. Christa. Get up. Please get up.

King looked over and saw Kalayavan raising his foot at Eda. He was about to stomp down at her head but then he stepped forth and let out a sonic wave which pushed him into a tree. Kalayavan got back up and growled as he approached King.

King: I won't let you hurt my family.

Kalayavan: I can see you have a fighting spirit. You not only look like him, but act like him too.

King: My dad? You couldn't have known him, no Titan is alive...

Kalayavan: I'm not talking about your Titan! I'm talking about Commander Magnus.

King: Who?

Kalayavan: Your template. Your Skull Cani relative. You were to be born from his line. Your kind described him as the strongest and bravest of the Skull Canis and Kamerian army. You do look a lot like him. Even having the same kind of skull. I thought Magnus family has all been wiped out, but it seems I left one more.

King: You...you killed my skull cani family?

Kalayavan: It was revenge. Him and those Kamerians, they caved us in for years. Years I spent my life in complete darkness. Not that I had a problem with the dark but all the good food is out here. It's been so long since I had skull cani. But one with titan blood.

King let out another sonic wave but Kalayavan flew up and fired a heat ray at him.

Luz and Christa: King!

King was on the ground hurt. Kalayavan lands and picks him up.

Kalayavan: And now, to take back what belongs to me.

Kalayavan opened his mouth wide and was about to eat King. But then something came at him and cuts Kalayavan's arm. King fell but was caught in someone's arms. He looked up and saw it was Jean Luc, activated outside of his tower.

King: Jean Luc?

Luz: What? How is he even active outside the tower.

Kalayavan: A sentinel! You activated it?

King: What?

King then remembers a while back when he last touched Jean Luc and how a flash of light emitted around him. Was that some kind of activation for him? For him to come when King was in danger.

King: Did I do that? Did you come to save me?

Luz got up and approached Jean Luc. He looked at her and handed her King as he set his attention back to Kalayavan. Kalayavan roared at Jean Luc and came at him. Kalayavan swipes across Jean Luc's face and grabbed his arm. Jean Luc with his free hand clawed across his face. Jean Luc tried to swipe his face again but Kalayavan bit onto his hand. Jean Luc jumped and flipped onto his back and wrapped his other arm around his neck. Kalayvan lets go as he is being choked. He grabs Jean Luc by his head and throws him off. He breathed his heat ray at him but the ray just went through Jean Luc as he opened a hole through his abdomen.

Kalayavan swung his tail at Jean Luc legs, making him trip over. Jean Luc was about to get up but the was hit back down by Kalayavan's tail. Kalayavan kept hitting him with his tai until he turned and fired his heat ray at Jean Luc. This time was hit and looked singed, Jean Luc got back up swiped across Kalayavan's chest. Kalayavan roared and breathed his heat ray again at Jean Luc, but he dodged it with a roll and formed his hand into an axe. Kalayavan was about to hit him again but then Jean Luc cuts his hand clean off with the axe hand, as Kalayavan roared in pain.

Kalayavan: Help me Savior!

Kalayavan opened his wings and flew up about to escape.

Luz: We can't let him escape.

Christa: He won't.

Christa yelled out as she fired multiple ice spikes at Kalayavan. But she was mainly aiming at his wings as the ice pierced through his wings.

Kalayavan: No!

Kalayavan fell to the ground. His wings were torn and was unable to fly. Jean Luc came at him from behind and wrapped his arms and legs around him. Kalayavan roared as he tried to get him off of him, but couldn't. He was holding him tight. But then something else began to happen. Jean Luc began to glow, a bright orange. Kalayvan felt the burn from it and realized what he was doing.

Luz: What is he doing?

Harpy Eda: Everybody move, he's gonna blow!

King: What no! Jean Luc!

Christa: King!

King ran to Jean Luc but Christa grabbed him and took him back to take cover.

King: Let go! I have to help him!

Christa: There's nothing we can do King! We have to take cover.

King: Jean Luc don't! Please. Don't do it!

Jean Luc took one last look at King. The two just looked at each other and exchanged their goodbyes. Christa and King got back with the others as Hooty wrapped himself around everyone.

Kalayavan: (roars) Belos! Belos- AARGH!

Jean Luc self destructs himself, taking Kalayavan with him. Hooty unwrapped himself and everyone looked as Jean Luc and Kalayavan were gone. All there was left was some fiery bits of Kalayvan's body parts and Jean Luc's rock head. King just approached his head and fell to his knees. He covered his eyes and sobbed. Luz, Christa and Eda kneeled down to him and comforted him.

Luz: I'm sorry King.

Harpy Eda: He risked everything to save us and you.

King: But Jean Luc is...gone.

Christa: His actions will not be forgotten and his sacrifice will not be in vein. We'll always remember his bravery.

Lilith, Seraphina and Hooty also came to him.

Seraphina: I'm glad your safe. Your friend fulfilled his purpose to protect the Titan from monsters like Kalayavan.

Harpy Lilith: Oh, so Seraphina about what he said?

Seraphina: Please, I'd like to know what's really going on.

Luz: ( sighs) Guess there's no point hiding it from you now.

A few minutes pass as everyone explains about who King really is to Seraphina.

Seraphina: So then he's a skull cani that was chosen to be the new Titan? Well, that explains why I never knew what kind of demon you are.

Christa: You know the day I fell in that time pool and met Ginga. He's his son.

Seraphina: Unbelievable.

Harpy Lilith: Seraphina I never meant for you to get hurt. I'm sorry if our secret got you intot his.

Seraphina: You have nothing to apologize. I think it's wise for you all to keep this a secret.

King: So you won't tell anyone?

Seraphina kneels down to King and pats his head.

Seraphina: For your sake and everyone else's, I'll keep your secret.

King: Thank you Seraphina.

Seraphina: I'm so sorry for your loss King.

King: Thanks for your condolences.

Seraphina: ( to Luz and Christa) Why not take him inside, he must be tired.

Eda winched from the pain on her shoulder as Luz bandaged her up.

Harpy Eda: Thanks kiddo.

Luz: Will you be okay Eda?

Harpy Eda: Eh don't worry. You know me, I suffered way worse. Can't think of any but I'm sure it's up there.

Later that night.

Christa entered her room and saw King on his small bed looking sad with Jean Luc's head.

Christa: ( sits down next to him) Hey King.

King: Hey Christa.

Christa: You okay?

King: I just can't sleep.

Christa: I know what you mean, after today. But you really should try.

King: Christa, I've been meaning to talk to you about something.

Christa: Yeah?

King: You met my dad right? What was he like?

Christa: Well um...I mean I only met him for a short time but he was both strong and wise. Though he started the Titan Wars, he did it stop Keizer from bringing the world into darkness. He lost all his friends to him and in the end, he gave his life to stop Keizer. But to continue his legacy, he gave away his power so one day his son would be born. You.

King: But why? Why did he do it? Why did he choose me? I mean I know why he chose the skull canis but why me out of all of them?

Christa: Well, I don't know how to answer why you were chosen but why as in why you were born with it, well...

Christa thought about how to answer this. She didn't want to say to what Ginga answered to her, to be the Isle's guardian and that he may have to fight Keizer someday. She didn't want to put so much pressure on him as he was already dealing with a lot.

Christa: I don't know exactly why, but I like to think because you would do great things with it. That you'll make the best of it and help the world.

King: But can I still be me?

Christa: That's up for you to decide. As long as you remind yourself who you are, you can be whatever you want.

King: And one more thing. If he were alive, do you think he would have wanted to spend time with me?

Christa places her hand on his head and pulls him close to her.

Christa: I think he would have. ( in her mind) Would you have Ginga?

We then cut Keizer who was watching the scene through a projection from his pupil.

Keizer: King Clawthorne, son of Ginga. I look forward meeting you. Hahahahahaha!

Author's Note: That's it for this chapter. Okay so I guess I could have just told this in one chapter considering part 2 wasn't that much different or didn't feel right to split it.
