Chapter 63:
Into the Unknown
Part 1
At Emperor Belos castle.
Kikimora: So it has come to this. The human, the Owl Lady and their friends are on there way to this Unknown Isles. This is finally my chance to round them all up. After being mocked and ridiculed for my failures, this is my chance to finally prove myself to Emperor Belos and make my way to the top! Ahahahahaha!
Scout: Uh yes ma 'me, you've been monologuing for the past 15 minutes.
Kikimora: I just have big plans. Behold!
Kikimora pulled a nearby lever. The wall began to open up and showed a large abomiton like robot, about 50 ft tall one that looks like she can pilot.
Kikimora: I can finally test out my new toy that I got from those Blights a while back. At last, I will have my revenge. Mwahahahaha!
Scout: Uh ma'me, you sure you want to leave now. It's Lenny's Birthday today.
Kikimora: Yeah I don't care.
Scout: But they're going to have blood velvet cake.
Kikimora: I...I suppose there's time for some cake
Scout: And coffee.
Kikimora: Oh alright some cake and a quick cup of coffee. Then I will finally have my revenge!
The next day at the CATS base.
After everything that's happened, and with so much searching, Luz and Christa finally found Temperor and the whereabouts of the Unknown Isles. With only five days left before the Day of Unity, everyone got ready to set sail to the Unknown Isles.
Hipporit: So you say this map will take you to this unknown part of the demon realm. Are you certain it's real?
Luz: It has to be. Christa remembers it as her home.
Eda: This is the only chance we got. Plus we need to know how to stop Keizer.
Raine: But it says here it's best to get there by a ship.
Christa: Do you guys have a ship?
Hipporit: Well...
Christa: Wait you have one.
Lilith: Sir if it's alright, may we please borrow.
Hipporit: Oh alright, just please don't scratch it.
Hooty: Oh wow! Can I sail it.
Hipporit: No, no, no! You can not sail it. Please do not let him lay a finger on it.
Hooty: Oh don't worry. I don't have any hands. Hoot! Hoot!
Eda: Then it's settled. Why don't you three get ready quickly. We leave soon.
Luz: We'll be quick Eda.
We cut to Luz, Christa and King in their bunker gathering a few things.
Luz: You know guys it just occurred to me.
Christa: What's that?
Luz: We're just barely finding the Unknown Isles.
Christa: What do you mean?
Luz: Well it feels like we've been searching for like two years.
Christa: But we only met almost two months ago.
Luz: I know right? It's weird. So you looking forward Christa?
Christa: I guess so. I just can't believe it's about to happen. I'm finally going to see my home, my family and well know who I am. But I am a little nervous though. For one is that I have the feeling somethings might have changed over there since Belos's attack.( frowns) But also once we get there, things will change for us. I mean like, I won't really live with you anymore, I can't go to Hexside anymore and I probably won't see you guys as much.
Luz: ( holds her shoulders) Hey don't worry. We'll take one step at a time there. I still need to get back to my home but as I said I'll still come and see you guys. I promise to visit you often, even if you live in another isles. Besides, I'd like it if you showed me around. I'd love to get to know your home.
Christa: ( smiles) I guess I can arrange that. I mean I really want to introduce you to my family, ( hugs her) and tell them how you took care of me and being my best friend and a second sister to me. Also if possible, I too would want to see your world someday.
Luz: Oh I can arrange that.
Christa: Oh King, so what about you. You excited to see where you originally came from.
King: I guess. But after what happened last time, I'm not even sure if any other Skull Canis are out there. Besides my Titan and Skull families died a long time ago. But I have you guys so, it's fine.
Luz picks King up and hugs him as Christa kisses his head.
King: But you're going to introduce me to your mom right?
Christa: Of course I am.
King: Do you think she makes snacks.
Christa: I'm sure she does.
As they left their quarters they're met up with the Hexsquad.
Luz: Guys.
Amity: So are we ready yet?
Christa: You guys want to come too?
Willow: Of course we do. Wherever you go, we go too.
Gus: You're talking about the place your from and a whole new advanced isles. I can't just skip out on this.
Alex: I mean, we were gonna go together right, as friends to the end. Amigos?
Christa smiles as Hunter approaches her.
Hunter: I'm ready when you are Red.
Christa takes his hand and the Hexsquad meets up with Eda.
Archimedes: E wait!
They saw Archimedes running to them.
Eda: Archy?
Archimedes: Please let me come E. After studying about this a lot recently I have to go. I have to see this place.
Lilith: Oh Edalyn let me come too. This is big.
Archimedes and Lilith: Can we? Can we? Can we!?
Eda: Okay alright. Easy. You two are really acting like nerds.
Archimedes: But I'm the nerd you love right.
Eda: ( sigh) Ha, yeah. ( kisses his cheek) Your my nerd Archy.
Seraphina: ( hugs her from behind) And you're my nerd Lilith. You're not going without me are you?
Lilith: ( blushes) Oh Seraphina, of course you can come.
Hooty: OOH! I want to come.
Lilith: Hootsifer your coming regardless.
Hooty: I know but I want to meet CC's family and tell them of all the times I was there for her. Keeping her company, making her laugh. Nurting and loving her. I have a lot stories.
Christa: I think my family is going to love you Hoot Hoot.
King: That is they're not creeped out by him.
Matti: Wait, I'm coming too. As your aunt, I want to assure them that you've been safe with me and our times together.
Eda: Okay anyone else.
Alice: Hold up.
Alice comes in next.
Amity: Aunt Alice, you sure you're okay?
Alice: I'm fine now. I want to make sure everyone else is okay, plus I want to see exactly how advanced this place is compared to Blight Industries.
Amity: Dad are you coming?
Alador: I should stay here, your brother and sister are still resting, plus I have something to work on in hopes to use against Belos.
Darius: So what about the rest of us.
Hipporit: The rest of us should remain here. We still need to finalize the plan, but Raine maybe you should go. You can probably talk to their leader best.
Raine: I will.
Hipporit: But come back as soon as possible. We don't have much time left here.
Luz: Okay, it's time to head into the unknown.
We then cut to everyone on Hipporit's ship. Everyone stood around on deck as Steve, Carl and Earl were behind the wheel with Raine who had the map. Others stood around the ship, Luz and Amity stood on the edge looking down at the water.
Luz: It's amazing. I've never been on a boat before. I've always did want to go on a cruise.
Amity: What's a cruise?
Luz: It's where people get on luxurious ship with lots to do, has swimming pools, water slides and plenty to eat. And can take you to different places around the world.
Amity: That's really cool. ( blushes) You think maybe, we could do that together Batata.
Luz: Oh ho Ami. You me, together on a ship in...in cute swimsuits?
The two look at each other and thought bubbles appeared over their heads and imagine each other in swimsuits but then look away with their faces turning red.
Amity: Uh, is it getting hot out here?
We then cut to Gus and Willow, the latter rubbing Alex's back who appeared to be sea sick and throwing up off board and his face was green. Matti notices and approaches.
Matti: Oh my are you okay?
Willow: Alex is feeling sea sick.
Alex: ( groans) I hate the sea. Can we just fly over there?
Gus: It's too far for us to fly. Besides the fog will be a problem when we get there.
Alex: But I don't like it here.
Matti: Hold on, I got something for this.
Matti looks into her bag and takes out a patch.
Matti: ( places patch on his arm) Sea sick patch. This should help reduce your sea sickness.
Alex: Oh thank you Matti. So, so nice.
We then cut to Christa and Hunter standing together near the front part of the ship.
Hunter: So um, you think your parents will be okay with us?
Christa: Don't worry, they're going to like you. I'll tell them about all the good things.
Hunter: No I should be honest with them. I don't want to lie to them about my history with Belos. I want to be judged accordingly, my misdeeds along with the good.
Christa: You're so honest. But it might be hard trying to keep a long distance relationship.
Hunter: ( holds her hand) We can make it work. Can we?
Christa: Guess we could.
Christa kneels down to Howl petting him.
Christa: But I sure hope my parents will let me keep you Howl.
Archimedes: Everyone, I see the fog!
The ship was approaching a large fog.
Raine: According to the map, that's Maguma's fog.
Luz: So no one's ever gone through it.
Archimedes: That's right. We're about to enter unknown territory to get to part of the Demon realm no one as ever seen before because of the mystery of Maguma's fog.
Lilith: Some say that when you enter even if you go straight you just end up back where you started but there were also a few incidents where ships never came back at all.
King: Wait what's that last part?
Luz: But Belos discovered it. So now it's our turn.
Steve: We're about to enter the fog. Brace yourselves.
And so they entered the fog. It was a heavy and thick fog.
Raine: Ugh, I can't see the map well.
Luz takes out light glyph and lights it for Raine.
Raine: Ah, thank you that's better.
Steve: What do I do first?
Luz: Says here, to make a right at upcoming rock that looks like a face.
Steve: I can't see anything up head.
Christa: It got it!
Christa ran up to the front of the ship and both her hands shined out light. They were now able see better that was ahead and saw a large rock like face.
Christa: There's your rock face.
Alex: Wait so is it a face that looks like rock or is it the other way around.
Gus: Does it even matter?
Alex: Does to me.
The ship turned to the right as the map said. Once he did some winds began to blow harder. Everyone stepped away from the edge parts of the ship. Christa almost tripped but Hooty stretched over and grabbed hold of her.
Christa: Thanks Hoot Hoot.
Eda: I think that meant we're going the right way. What else does it say?
Raine: There's a...now there's going to be...follow this pattern right here on these rocks.
Raine showed it to Steve. The map showed a line going around what looked like large rocks in a odd pattern. One told him to go around the right side, another to the left and strangely it said to go around it and in order to see another rock to make a left. As strange as it sounded it seemed to have worked. Suddenly it felt like the ship was being pulled.
Eda: Now what's going on?
Raine: Now it says...wait this can't be right.
Eda: What?
Raine: Go into the...the whirlpool.
Luz: What?
Raine: That's what it says.
Luz looks at the map it shows what looks like a whirlpool icon. The ship kept getting pulled and it was not long after they saw the whirlpool sucking the ship in.
King: Uh are you sure this is what the map says. Because there's a good chance we're all going to burn and drown.
Steve: We can't get out. We're being pulled in.
Eda: If that's what the map says, it's a chance we're going to have to take. Everyone take cover.
Everyone on the ship enters the inside of ship's quarters as the ship gets pulled down into the whirlpool.
Hunter: Everyone hold onto something.
Alex: Oh geez now I'm really going to be sick.
Everyone grabbed onto something sturdy or each other as the ship was shaking crazy and screamed due to being sucked down into the whirlpool. The ship was sucked down and then we saw it emerge back out from another whirlpool. We cut to inside where everyone seemed okay as they were all on the floor some were on top of one another.
Luz: Wait it stopped.
King: Are we dead?
Eda: No I don't think so.
Luz: ( helping up Amity) Are you okay Amity.
Amity: I'm alright Batata.
We then cut to Gus opening his eyes and felt his face on something soft.
Christa: Um Gus.
Gus looked and saw Christa who was looking at him and he quickly realized he was on top of her and his face was on breasts. Gus immedietly jumped back off of her, his face now red.
Gus: I'm so sorry! Please don't tell Hunter.
Christa: ( pats his head) Oh it's fine. I know you wouldn't stoop that low. He doesn't need to know.
Hunter: Know what?
Gus and Christa: NOTHING!
Everyone exits out of the ship and it was foggy at first, but then it cleared up.
Amity: What happened? Did it work?
Luz: I...I'm not sure. I don't see anything.
Seraphina: I see land up ahead.
Lilith: Is it the Boiling Isles.
Seraphina: I...It's hard to tell from this distance.
Eda takes out a spy glass and takes a look.
Luz: What do you see?
Eda: Oh, this is big.
Eda hands the spy glass to Luz as she takes a look at it.
Luz: We're here.
Christa: You mean...
Luz hands the spy glass to Christa as she looks.
Luz: This is it. The Unknown Isles.
The scene shifts over the Unknown Isles as we see in a birds eye view of the archipelago. Just like the Boiling Isles it too consisted of land made from the remains of a titan. The titan however was Keizer's body, laying on his stomach. The arms consisted of heavy jungles, legs did so at first but the feet were sunk creating a beach. The wings were skeletal and laid each side of the body, creating rocky peaks, the same with the tail, neck and the skull head was partially submerged in the sea. But in the center on his back they could see a huge city. Everyone gathered and just gazed in awe.
Archimedes: The Unknown Isles. It really does exist.
Christa: This is it. My home.
Luz: You ready?
Christa: ( nods) There's no turning back.
Alice: Look at the size of that titan. I think he's a little bigger than ours.
Matti: So that's what Keizer looks like. Kinda glad I don't live on top of him.
Amity: It's incredible. Hey do you guys see those buildings in the distance?
Christa: I think that's the city Kameria. That's where my people live.
Eda: Then that's where we gotta go.
Raine: We'll anchor the ship here. Anyone who wants to stay, you may.
Steve: Well you all can go. Carl, Earl and I will remain here and guard the ship.
Luz: Then let's get going.
Everyone gets on their staff, ( except Luz who rides with Eda and Alice on Stranix) and fly over to the Isles. But then on the island we cut to a large cave and surrounding the area were members of the Doragoris clan. They resembled Kalayavan but some had different shades of green, some were taller while some were slightly shorter. These monstrous demons either sat around, fought or were chewing on bones. One of them came out of the cave, he was large fierce looking demon with battle scars on his chest, arms and face. He growled at the two fighting to stop and get it together. But then he smelled something. Moments after they all did. The fierce one looked up and saw the group flying over them. He growled and began to drool.
We cut back to the others flying over the jungles of the isles. They looked around the area, eager of their surroundings.
Luz: The land around here, it looks like the Boiling Isles.
Eda: Seems like it, but the center of the body is where it differs.
King: We're almost there.
Everyone was getting closer to the Kameria. They could see the buildings.
Christa: Stop here!
Everyone lands in the city.
Luz: We're here.
Christa: Yeah but...
They finally made it to their destination. But something wasn't right. The city seemed empty. The city itself seemed out of shape with some demolished and half destroyed buildings, plant life growing around them and empty vehicles all around and the monorail system.
King: Uh this? This it?
Gus: It's quiet.
Hunter: Too quiet. Where is everybody?
The group began to walk through the city, looking around. The Hexsquad along with King stayed together as the adults looked around different parts on their own.
Amity: This wasn't really what I expected coming to an advanced city. Does any of this look familiar to you Christa?
Christa: This is not how I remembered it. From my memories, my dreams there was more going on. It's so lifeless here. Wait, this place.
Christa pointed a what looked like the tea shop she recalled dreaming. The building was wrecked with the windows shattered, the inside ransacked, the tables flipped and some chairs missing.
Christa: I remember this.
King: A bakery?
Christa: A tea shop. I think I came here for tea and pastries with my family.
Alex: Man it's a wreck. Bet I could fix it. Actually I really want to know the architect of this place. This does not look like how buildings back home are. Nothing around here looks like it's made with any organic matter like back home.
Gus: You told me there were signs that used illusions. That I really wanted to see.
Hunter: Guys I think this place has been abandoned.
Christa: No, it can't be. Not after everything we went through. Where is everyone?
Willow: You said that Belos attacked your home right. Do you think maybe they relocated somewhere else to hide from him?
Christa: But if so where?
The Hexsquad kept looking around together as the adults looked on other parts.
Alice: For an advanced civilization I expected this place to be more...advanced.
Matti: Something's not right here. Why does this place look all beat up?
Raine: The place seems to be abandoned.
Eda: This isn't right. ( calling out) Hey! Anybody here! Anybody!
Hooty: Hmm, maybe everyone is sleeping.
Seraphina: They're sleeping at the same time and let this place rot?
Lilith: I highly doubt that Hootsifer.
Lilith, Seraphina and Eda saw Archimedes examining a building. They approached him and watched as he examined.
Eda: Anything Archy?
Archimedes: Guys these buildings. These are old.
Eda: How old.
Archimedes: Ancient. You can tell.
Lilith: How so?
Archimedes: Just look at this place. It's not just the style but look around. It takes decades for plant life to take over a city like this.
Eda: Decades?
Archimedes: E, how long exactly was Christa in the pod.
Eda looked over at Christa still looking around.
Eda: Oh no... don't tell me.
We cut back to the Hexsquad still looking around.
Luz: Hello! Anyone here!?
Luz looked over at Christa. She had a sad look and held her arms.
Christa: There's no one here.
Luz: No there has to be. You were kidnapped here.
Christa: Then where is everyone. Why was I the only one. Why...
King: Hey who's that over there?
Everyone looked over to where King was pointing and they did in fact see someone from the distance staring at the group. She was a kamerian witch that stood Eda and Lilith's height. She wore a violet pants gown dress, black slippers as well as violet gloves and had a necklace of pearls. She also had long fire red hair, an emerald on her forehead and green eyes.
Eda: Who's that over there?
Christa stepped up a little closer and squinted her eyes trying to see who it was. Her eyes widened the moment she recognized her.
Christa: Mom? That's my mom!
Luz: That's her?
Christa: Yes. Mom! Mom it's me Chri...Euphemia.
Her mom however didn't respond and walked mom.
Christa: ( starts running) Wait, mom come back.
Luz: Christa wait!
The others chase after her. Christa kept running after her mom. She caught up but then saw her mom walk towards another path.
Christa: Mom wait! Where are you going? It's me!
Christa ran to where she was going. But then she let out a small gasp and stopped as the others caught up.
Luz: Christa you find her?
Everyone else stopped running too as they gazed at what they stopped at. It looked like a temple. They opened the heavy doors as Christa let out a small gasp of the inside. Luz and Hunter recognized it as well in Belos's mind. It was the temple that Christa saw in her dreams.
Amity: What is this place?
Archimedes: It seems to be some kind of holy temple the people came to worship their Titan.
Christa: I remember this. I've seen this in my dreams, multiple times.
Hunter: Yeah, this was the place where Belos and your mom fought.
Everyone slowly entered and looked around. Unlike her dreams, the temple looked more ancient this time. Benches were flipped, the candle waxes were worn out or missing, pillars were chipped and the place was full of dust and webs. They could see two large statues standing side by side with their arms up together as if they were holding something.
Lilith: Just at look at this. Everything outside had some kind of advanced yet old look but this is looks like ancient gothic architecture.
They made it up to the upper area of the temple. They were near the feet of the statues and on the wall was an opening.
Gus: Whoa.
Alex: Yeah, whoa bro.
King: What's with this hole on the wall.
Archimedes: It looks like someone broke in here and took something out.
Christa: Like treasure?
Archimedes: Probably but look at the length in the inside. After examining your pod for a while, this has the same length.
Christa: What?
?: So you've finally came young Euphemia.
Everyone is startled by a loud echoey voice that sounded like an old man.
Raine: Who are you? Where are you?
?: Calm yourselves. I am not here to haunt you. I can sense your intentions of why your here. You finally brought Euphemia.
Christa: You know who I am?
?: Of course I do.
Then a new person appeared before them through a flash of light. He was an old man wearing old white clothes, but with a dark blue cloak, with necklace of beads around his neck and right wrist. In his right hand was staff with the tip being shaped circular almost like a sun shining. He had a white and gold mitre hat and had a long grey beard and mustache with green eyes.
?: How can I forget my own granddaughter.
Everyone turned to Christa as they were as surprised as she was.
Christa: Gr-Granddaughter? You're my grandpa?!
Luz: Christa you have a grandpa? You didn't tell us that.
Christa: I can't even remember my dad. I didn't know I have a grandpa.
?: Euphemia, you do not remember me?
Eda: Hi, excuse me sir. Uh listen long story short, your granddaughter hit her head when we found her and well she doesn't remember much about her home, name and barely remembers her family. We've been looking after her since and done everything we can to get her here.
?: ( sighs) I see. I very much appreciate you looking after her.
Luz: Please, we came all this way to get her here and we need your help. Belos is working with Keizer and he's planning on...
?: The draining spell for his resurrection.
Luz: Then you know why we're here?
?: Perhaps I owe you all an explanation. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Quan Ata Lachu. I am the Grand Witch of Kameria, capital city of the Emerald Isles.
Luz: Emerald Isles? Is that the name of the Unknown Isles?
Quan Ata Lachu: ( nods) Indeed it is. Named by our ancestors, the 13 original Kamerians who had emeralds as their decendents did later.
Christa: But what happened here? Grandpa where is mom?
Quan Ata Lachu: ( sighs) Oh Euphemia. You really don't remember do you?
Christa: Remember what?
Quan Ata Lachu: Cornelia. Come.
Then coming out of the shadows was Christa's mom.
Quan Ata Lachu: This here is my daughter Cornelia, Priestess of Kameria.
Cornelia: Greetings travelers.
Everyone gazed at Cornelia now they had a closer look, especially Christa. The two looked at one another with Cornelia's eyes widened seeing her.
Christa: Mom?
Cornelia: Euphemia? Is it really you?
Christa: ( smiles big) Mom!
Christa ran up to hug her mom.
Christa: Mom I'm so glad I finally found you. You have to meet my friends, they helped me find you and...
But when Christa tried to hug her mom she couldn't. She went right through her.
Christa: What?
Cornelia frowns knowing what's wrong as Christa tried to touch her again, only for her hand to faze right through her.
Christa: Wh-What...
Cornelia: Oh...I'm sorry but these aren't our physical forms.
Quan Ata Lachu: We're only here in spirit.
Luz: Only in spirit?
Christa: What do you mean? Mom, what's going on? What happened here? Where is everyone? What happened to you?
Cornelia looked away and frowns but she kneeled down to face her.
Cornelia: Oh Euphemia I don't know how to put this. But there hasn't been life here for 400 years.
With that said everyone was shocked, mainly Christa as she had a look of disbelief.
King: Did she just say 400 years?
Christa: No...no that can't be. That's not true.
Cornelia: I know you don't want to believe it. Our kind was wiped out, because of him.
Luz: ( clutches her fist) Belos.
Christa: You mean, you're de...dead?
Christa's body was shaking as she began to suffer a emotional breakdown and was hyper ventilating. Luz and the others were looking concerned for her.
Luz: Christa...
Christa: This is wrong. All of this is wrong!
Cornelia: Euphemia please.
King: Christa, are you okay.
Eda: Chrissy, look at me. Breathe.
Hunter: Red, Red it's going to be okay.
Christa: NO!
Christa's power erupted and let out a bright flash around the temple. Everyone was momentarily blinded and when it dimmed down, Christa was gone.
Luz: Christa!
Amity: Where did she go?
Then they noticed the temple door was open. They exited out, but Christa was no where to be seen.
Hunter: ( calling out) Red! Red! Christa!
Willow: Where did she go?
Eda: It was too much for her to handle.
Matti: Oh, the poor girl. I feel so sorry for her.
King: This is me all over again.
Hooty: ( crying) CC please come back! I feel your pain!
Cornelia: I'm sorry, this my fault.
Eda: No, there was no easy way to break it to her.
Quan Ata Lachu: Sad as it maybe, she must remember who she is. Bring here and we will explain everything to you.
Lilith: She couldn't have gotten far. We can still find her if we act fast.
Eda: Alright, let's split into groups and find her.
Luz: Eda.
Eda: ( places hand on her shoulder) I know. We should have seen this coming. If you find her calm and ease her down. Let her know your there for her and we'll help her through this.
Luz: ( nods) I will.
King: I'll go with you Luz.
Hunter: Me too. She needs me.
Amity: She needs all of us.
Eda: Well I think you kids should all go as a group. She needs all her friends with her.
Luz: Let's go find her.
We cut to the Luz, King and the Hexsquad flying over the ruined city on their staffs, with Luz and King riding with Amity.
Willow: Does anyone see her?
Alex: Still looking. How could she gone off so far in place like this. You think she's hiding from us?
Luz: She shouldn't be.
Gus: Wait, I think I see her.
They looked down and they could see Christa running into some kind of house.
Luz: Land down. Christa wait!
The group lands down as they saw where Christa ran into. It was old rundown mansion, the one we saw in her dreams.
Hunter: What is this place?
Luz: She told me about this before. I think this is her house.
Alex: Well, what's left of it anyway.
Willow smacks him the back of his head.
Alex: Ow.
The entered inside, but little do they know we see silhouettes of two large figures from behind growling.
We cut to inside of the mansion. Like the outside, the inside was wrecked, but it did resemble Christa's dream. Some of the furniture however was covered in dust, vines or was party destroyed. There were stairs leading up to the next level as well as what appears to be a large portrait, unfortunately the picture itself was burnt away.
Luz: Christa! Christa are you in here?
King: Christa!
Amity: Christa it's us.
Willow: Please come out!
Gus: We just want to talk.
Alex: Christa! Don't hide. Come out!
Hunter: Red, please just let us see you.
The group went up stairs and there was a hallway.
Luz: You hear that.
Everyone stayed silent as they could here a faint crying sound.
Amity: She's close. Come on.
The group continued walking, but then Hunter stepped on something. He heard a glass cracking sound and looked down. There was a framed picture on the ground. He picked it up and wiped off the dust off the glass. He then let out a small gasp when he saw what it was.
Willow: Hunter. Come on.
Hunter: Uh yeah. Coming.
Hunter puts the picture in his shirt and catches up with the others. They soon found what looked like Christa's old bedroom. In it they saw Christa with her back against a wall, curled into a ball crying with Howl sitting by her. The others approached her and sat around with her with Luz, King and Hunter sitting by her side.
Luz: Christa.
Christa: They're all gone. My family, my friends, my home.
Luz: Christa I'm so sorry for all of this. I got your hopes so high that I never considered the negative outcomes.
Christa: You couldn't have known. I should have seen this coming. I'm the one who kept dreaming of this place and with Belos. He took away everything here. He killed everyone. I...I'm the last kamerian witch. I'm an orphan. I'm all alone.
Christa felt King hugging her. She looked down at him who was holding onto her tight and she placed her hand on his head.
King: I'm the last of my kind too, but I know I'm not alone. You have us don't you?
Christa didn't answer as she couldn't speak right with her sobbing. She then felt Willow's hand on her shoulder.
Willow: Hey, take deep breaths with me.
Willow did her breathing technique as Christa did her best to follow along. Her sobbing settled down as she remained teary eye.
Christa: Thanks Willow.
Willow: Of course. You know I have your back.
Amity: We all do. Christa, I'm sorry for your loss. I can only imagine so much what your going through and feeling, but I want you to know we're not going to leave you alone.
Gus: Your our friend too and just how you helped motivated me back at the Looking Glass Ruins, when I was feeling down, I'm going to do the same for you.
Alex: I know I just met you, but you really are nice friend and I can't stand seeing you like this. But I swear to you when I see Belos, I'm gonna hit so hard that he'd have to eat through a mechanical straw for the rest of his life.
Then Christa felt Hunter's hand holding hers.
Hunter: A while back, when we went into Belos's mind and we saw the memory of him fighting your mom, you asked me if I still thought what he was doing was for the greater good. I didn't think what he was doing was for the greater good anymore and seeing all this, it proves it. I know what your feeling. You find out things you didn't want to know. You begin to question everything and feel like your alone now. But after what I witnessed and found out I'm a grim walker, you still came for me to make sure I was okay despite I was towards you. You made sure I was safe and happy. I was going through a tough time but then I made friends with all of you and whatever obstacle or problem I faced, I didn't face it alone. I'm going to do the same for you Red. ( hugs her) I'm right here for you.
Christa: ( sniffs) Hunter...
Luz: He's right. This isn't how we expected this to go and I can't express how sorry I am for all this, but we all promise to help you through this, we're all here for you.
Luz hugs her next as the others join the hug. Christa was breathing heavily and then started crying.
Christa: ( crying) Waahaaa! Guys! Than...Thank you! I love you all so much!
But then they heard something in the house fall and break.
Luz: Uh, Eda? Is that you?
Luz got up and peeked out the door. But then she gasped and came back in.
Amity: What's wrong?
Luz replied with a shush look. We then see what she saw and it was Doragoris demon.
King: Kalayavan?
Luz: No, but it is a member of the Doragoris Clan.
Amity: That's what you fought against?
Alex: Alright, let's take this thing down.
Luz: Alex no. You have no idea how dangerous these demons are. Seraphina barely got away from one of them.
Willow: So fighting it is out of the question?
Hunter: What do we do. It's coming this way?
Luz looked around and saw the window.
Luz: Everyone on your staff, through the window.
The Doragoris demon drew closer. It growled and sniffed around the hallway. It then got the scent of the Hexsquad. It made it's way to Christa's room but when it got there they were gone as we cut to the Hexsquad flying out of the mansion.
Luz: That was a close one. Let's head back to that temple. Everyone is worried for you and...
But then a heat ray fired from down below. The group barely dodged as it nearly hit Gus and he fell off his staff.
Willow: Gus!
Willow forms a flower on the ground for him to land safely. But it wasn't all good as Gus found himself surrounded by two Doragoris demons growling at him, one was dark green while the other was a light green.
Christa: Gus no!
Hunter: I'll go get him!
Hunter warped down for Gus. The moment he did the others who were still in the air heard the roars and behind them were five Doragoris demons flying at them.
Christa: They're onto us!
Luz: Split up!
The Hexsquad split up as they were chased by the flying Doragorises.
We cut to the ground as the two Doragoris demons closed in on Gus. But then Hunter appeared from behind the dark green one and kicked him across the head. It turned around to Hunter and roared and tried to hit him. Hunter warped and appeared behind him placing a fire glyph on his back and igniting. The dark green Doragoris targeted Hunter while the light green went back to Gus. It lost track of him but then saw Gus running and then he fell.
Gus: AH! My ankle!
The light green Doragoris drooled and roared charging at Gus. Gus tried to get back up but couldn't. The Doragoris lunged at Gus, but when it did it went right through him, turning out to be an illusion and ends up ramming it's head into the wall of a building and getting stuck. The real Gus appears and runs off to Hunter.
We cut back to Hunter still taking on the dark green Doragoris. It heat rays at Hunter only to miss due to his warp. Doragoris roars in frustration looking around for him. Hunter appears again now placing an ice glyph on the ground as ice spikes form up as Doragoris steps back. Doragoris smashes through the ice and heat rays again at Hunter only to warp and appearing in front of Doragoris's face and placing a fire glyph on his face. It ignites as the Doragoris roars in agony from the blast and rubbing his face.
Gus: Hunter!
Hunter: Gus let's go!
Gus and Hunter flies back up with the others. We then cut to Alex and Willow flying and avoiding heat ray attacks from a flying Doragoris, this one's right eye had a yellow eye. Alex aimed his stone fist at the Doragoris. He fires but misses. Yellow eye Doragoris breathes its heat ray at Alex and he ends up getting hit in his right arm. Alex grunts and falls off his staff only to be caught by Willow who flew down and saves him.
Willow: You okay tough guy.
Alex: ( blushes) Yeah thanks. ( winches from burn) Yup just fine.
They heard Yellow Eye Doragoris roar as it breathed it's heat ray again. Willow dodges the attack and seeing the vines and plant life wrapped around one of the buildings she manipulated them to attack the demon. He gets knocked down and wrapped up like a mummy in the vines, struggling to get out as Willow flies away.
We then cut to Luz and Amity as they were being chased by another Doragoris, this one had a scar on his face. Luz got out a fire glyph and shot it at the Scarface Doragoris. It dodged the attack and flew faster to gain on them. As it was getting close, Amity threw a ball of abomination goo at his head. It stopped where it was as it scrapped off the goo on his face. It growled and continued flying after them.
Amity: You were right. These things are tough. I can't lose him.
Luz: Wait I got a idea. Get your fist ready.
Luz got a glyph combo of fire and earth. She placed it on Amity's abomination fist.
Amity: Keep your head down.
Luz ducks down as Amity turns over to aim her fist at Doragoris. She fires at him as the glyph activated and the abomination fist turned into a lava fist. Doragoris gets hit by a firey blast and falls to the ground.
Amity: Nice one Batata.
Luz: I just thought of that one.
We now cut to Christa with King flying from two Doragrois, one had a spiked mohawk in between his crest and the other had only one fang sticking out. One fang was getting close, King let out a sonic yell and the power itself knocked it down easily. But he didn't pay attention to Mohawk who rammed into them. Christa and King falls into a tree as the two fall from branches. Christa was on the ground as King fell on top of her.
King: Christa? Christa are you okay?
But then then Mohawk Doragoris landed behind King. He looked up as the demon snarled at him. He readied himself and tried to protect Christa.
Christa: He killed them.
The two set their attention to Christa. She was on her knees and was facing the opposite direction.
Christa: He killed them all and you the Doragoris Clan took part of it too.
Mohawk Doragoris took another step towards Christa. King got in the way and was about to use his sonic yell at him, but was swiped by it's tail and away from the two.
King: Christa!
Mohawk Doragoris raised his claws at Christa about to kill her.
Christa: You all took my family away. I won't let you do the same to my FRIENDS!
Christa yelled as her power erupted. Mohawk Doragoris stopped what it was doing and stepped back as it was being engulfed by her white power.
Meanwhile
We now cut to the adults as they too were facing off the Doragoris Clan. First was with Eda in her harpy form and Archimedes. Archimedes fell onto the ground and was pinned down by one a Doragoris. It tried to bite down on him but he used his staff to keep him from biting him. Doragoris kept biting onto the shaft of his staff as drool dripped down on Archimedes' face, much to his disgust.
Archimedes: ( coughs) Aw, you know there's a thing called tooth paste.
Eda appears behind the Doragoris grabbing him from the tail and trying to pull him off. It got off of Archimedes and heat rays at Eda. She lifted the tail up as it got hit by it's own blast as Doragoris roars in pain. Eda helps up Archimedes.
Harpy Eda: I got you Archy.
Archimedes: Thanks E.
They heard more roars as two Doragoris demons were coming at them as the readied to fight more.
We then cut to Lilith in her Harpy form fighting a Doragoris demon with Hooty still strapped to her back. She clawed across his face but retaliated with a tail slap. It then grabs Lilith by her head, lifting her up and tried to crush her head. But then Seraphina came in to save her in her feral mode. She knocked down the Doragoris to the ground, roared and bit down onto his neck. Another one however came from behind and grabbed her from behind. She struggled to break free but Hooty came in and constricted him.
Hooty: Hey there. You know I really enjoy gardening do you.
Hooty lifted him up and pile drived him into the ground now with his feet sticking up.
Hooty: Yup, I love to plant my garden.
Seraphina: Oh, thank you so much Hooty. You truly are a gentleman.
Next we see Raine letting out magic whistle waves at two Doragoris's. They were pushed by the wave and one more came at them from behind. That was until Matti came in with a red potion and threw it at it's face. The brew burned it's eyes as it roared.
Matti: Grab on.
Raine holds onto Matti as the monster was about to blindly smash them, only for Matti and Raine disappear, missing the two.
We then see Alice in her abomination form and she forms lots of abomination goo on the floor getting three of them stuck. Two came at her. She hits one of them with a mace hand and the other flapped it's wings at her creating it's pollen, causing her to cough and lose concentration. But before it could attack her, Stranix swoops down at him as the two fight.
All the adults were being overwhelmed by the numbers, strength and durability of the Doragoris clan.
Raine: There's too many of them!
Matti: They just keep getting back up no matter how much we hit them.
Archimedes: Eda...
Harpy Eda: Just hold on.
But then the surrounding Doragoris's flapped their wings and emitted their pollen making them cough and weaken. After that they heard a another roar, but it sounded more fierce.
The Doragoris clan stopped attacking and made way for the big and fierce looking Doragoris we saw earlier. Judging by the way they acted around him, it appeared he was the alpha.
Alpha Doragoris: Well, look what came for dinner.
Hooty: We're just in time for dinner? Yay!
Harpy Lilith: Hootsifer we are the dinner.
Hooty: ( disappointed) Oh.
Harpy Eda: So I take it your the leader.
Alpha Doragoris: The strongest and fiercest of the Doragoris Clan. It's not too often we get witches here. I love the taste of your flesh and blood. And I know this is only half of you.
Harpy Eda: Don't you even lay a single claw on those kids.
The Alpha Doragoris growls and swipes across Eda's head knocking her down.
Archimedes: Eda!
Archimedes kneeled down and helped her up.
Alpha Doragoris: The younger ones are more tender and I think I smelt a Skull Cani with them. It's been years since I last had one. Bring them to the lair! We will be eating good tonight.
But then a bright white light shot up in the sky like a flare around the area. Everyone got startled but the Doragoris Clan appeared to be terrified and saw a silhouette of a figure approaching
Alpha Doragoris: It's the Eye! The Priestess!
The Alpha Doragoris retreats as the rest of his clan follows leaving everyone behind. The light dims down and they saw Christa and the others with her.
Eda: ( turns back to normal) Chrissy.
Matti, Lilith Hooty approached her making sure she was okay. Matti hugged her as did Lilith and Hooty gently wrapped around her as she tightly hugged him. She then went up to Eda and hugged her.
Christa: Eda.
Eda: Shhh, I'm so sorry.
Christa: What's going to happen with me Eda.
Eda: It'll be okay. Right now, let's go back to the temple. Let's find out who you are. I'll be right there with you okay.
Luz: We'll take one step at a time.
Hunter: We've come this far right.
Christa: Okay.
Christa took Eda's hand with Luz right there next to her.
Everyone made it back to the temple where Cornelia and Quan Ata Lachu were still waiting.
Cornelia: Euphemia.
Christa: Mom, I'm ready. I need to know who I am.
Cornelia: Are you sure? You will remember things you may not like.
Christa: I know, but I've come this far. Please I need to know.
Cornelia nods and forms a spell circle and a white glowing ball formed on her finger tips. She placed it on Christa's forehead and suddenly memories of Christa's life were flashing before her eyes. Once the process was done Christa stumbled back as Eda, Hunter and Luz caught her.
Eda: Whoa, easy I got you.
Hunter: You okay?
Christa: Guys, I remember now. Everything.
Luz: You remember who you are? Your name?
Christa: ( nods) Yes. My name is Euphemia Wittebane.

Author's Note: That's it for this chapter. Sorry it's been a while, this and the next chapter were big and had to work carefully and have been going back and forth with scenes and lines of dialogue. I'm still trying to finalize the next one's certain plot points. Plus been distracted with a lot of things lately, both with hobbies and personal things. I'll try not to take as long with the next one but next week I'm going on vacation for a week. Next chapter will go more in depth but I'm sure your guessing Christa's relation, family and if it's unintentionally controversial I will explain in the next chapter.
