~~~Chapter Twenty-One~~~

~~~Previous~~~

Yami looks at Daimon, confused. Strange…why does he keep attacking with these weak cards?

Daimon lets out a faint sound. "You fell for it. It's complete."

"What?" Yami questions.

"This is next." Daimon choses his next card. "Zombie Master." He places the card down. "This card may be weak, but it has the ability to freely control the dead. In other words, it absorbs all the defeated cards…and becomes the ultimate card!"

Yami's card is defeated. Yami chooses his next cards, and each one is defeated. No way. Yami takes a card from his deck. This is... Yami takes his next card. "First, magic card: Revive the Dead." He places the card down. "I'm reviving the Fairy Ophelia that you used earlier." He takes another card. "And I just drew an equipment card: Flute of Light."

"It can't be!" Daimon exclaims.

"If the dead are revived, Zombie Master loses his power." Yami points out. "Zombie Master's power reverts to normal. Ophelia may have a weak attack, but he's King of the Fairies. He can draw upon the greatest power with this Flute of Light. Holy Light. The evil Zombie Master is led on a path of destruction."

"I-Impossible!" Daimon calls out in disbelief.

"Fairy King Ophelia is a card you shouldn't have discarded." Yami holds up a card. "You may read people's hearts, but you can't read the cards' hearts, it seems."

Daimon monster loses. Daimon lets out a shout as his wheelchair falls backwards. Isis turns her head to see the monster lower Anzu onto the ground. Isis sighs as Anzu opens her eyes and looks around, confused.

She looks back at Yami. The pair of them share a look before heading over to Daimon. Daimon is lying on the floor. "W-well done."

"You too." Yami praises.

Isis nods her head. "You did well with your body, no doubt in pain."

"It's the first time that I've had an opponent with such respect for games," Yami adds.

Daimon reaches up and grabs Yami's hand. "Y-you might be able to get it back…Bocchama's lost…kind heart."

"Kaiba's heart?" Yami and Isis repeat before they share a look.

Isis snaps out of it and clicks her finger. Daimon disappears before them, reappearing inside his capsule and falling asleep.

Kaiba leaves the monster house with two bodyguards behind him. A child bangs into Kaiba, and he falls to the ground, orange falling from the bag he was holding. Kaiba doesn't stop walking, stepping, and squashing an orange as he continues toward his car.

He gets into his car. "Drive." He orders. An aura surrounds Kaiba. Next time, you will face me, Mutou Yuugi.

~~~Present~~~

~~~3rd POV~~~

Lightning flashes in the sky, lighting up Kaiba Corporation. Inside, Kaiba stands in front of the window, gazing at the sky as lighting continues to flash by. It's complete. Yuugi.

Footsteps are heard before a person stops behind Kaiba. "Nii-sama." Kaiba turns to look at his younger brother. "Is this Yuugi guy really that strong?"

"Do not underestimate him, Mokuba," Kaiba warns. "With games, Yuugi is so strong it's like he's another person."

Mokuba lets out a hmm. "If you say so, Nii-sama, he's the real thing."

"This time, for sure, I will destroy Yuugi…" Kaiba mutters before he turns around and gazes out the window. "…with my Kaiba Land."

Lightning flashes across the sky.

~~~Next Day~~~

~~~At School~~~

~~~Isis's POV~~~

"Today…Let me introduce another transfer student." The teacher states.

A male walks in. I blink my eyes. Isn't he…

The male stands in front of the class. "I'm Bakura Ryou. Pleased to meet you."

Yuugi releases a surprised sound. "It's him…"

I nod my head. "Yeah, from the other day…"

Miho blinks, surprised. "No way…why?"

I blink again before Yuugi, and I share a look before looking back at Bakura.

~~~At Break~~~

As soon as the teacher left the classroom, Girls surrounded Bakura's desk.

"Hey, let me show you around the school."

Jounouchi lets out a sigh. "He's lucky…Even with that weird hairstyle."

Honda looks down at Jounouchi. "You're one to talk."

When Bakura gets up and walks over, Yuugi, Jounouchi, and Honda look surprised. "Um…"

"Thanks for before," Miho says. Bakura looks at her. Miho points at herself with a smile on her face. "It's me. You know."

Honda makes a faint sound and pulls a face as he gazes at Miho's back.

"Ummm…" Bakura blinks. "I'm sorry…have we met before?"

Miho lets out a gasp, her hand near her mouth.

The other girls appear behind Miho.

"No fair, Miho."

"Don't sneak a move in."

Miho looks at them, hands held in front of her. "No, that's not it."

"Then what is it?" A girl demands.

"Well…" Miho trails off.

"Yuugi-kun." Bakura calls out.

Yuugi turns and looks up at him.

Bakura looks at Yuugi's Millennium Puzzle. "Your…pendant there…It has an interesting shape."

Yuugi follows his gaze. "It's called the Millennium Puzzle. It was found in an Egyptian grave."

Bakura holds out his hand. "Can I touch it?" He holds it, and it isn't long before he gasps.

I narrow my eyes when I sense energy similar to Yami.

Bakura holds his chest and lowers his head.

"What's wrong?" Yuugi questions, worried.

Bakura lifts his head, face pale and hand still against his chest. "No…it's nothing. I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" I ask worriedly. That isn't a normal reaction from touching the Puzzle.

Bakura nods his head. "I'm fine."

"If you're sure," I reply softly before letting out a sigh.

The teacher returns, and we sit down as the lesson starts.

~~~After School~~~

We walk home together, Bakura with us, standing on the other side of Yuugi. "Yuugi's home is a game store?"

Yuugi laughs happily. "Bakura-kun, do you like games?"

"Yeah, I love them." Bakura agrees. "Especially board games."

Yuugi lets out an amazed sound. "The fundamentals!"

Miho walks over to Bakura's side. "Then let's play a game to celebrate our acquaintance."

"Game? Where?" Anzu questions.

I blink. "At that place?" I query.

Miho nods her head. "The game centre. A new one opened past the train station."

A smile appears on Anzu's face. "Ah. You're right; I haven't been there yet."

"Right? Let's go, Bakura-kun. Okay?" Miho asks excitedly.

"Okay. Sounds good." Bakura agrees.

"Then it's decided," Miho says happily.

"Miho-chan…just what does she see in him?" Honda mutters.

"Well, why not?" Jounouchi teases. "Bakura is not a bad guy. He might be a good friend."

I let out a soft chuckle when I saw the annoyance on Honda's face and the smirk resting on Jounouchi's face.

~~~Game Centre~~~

We all head inside, and we look around at the different games.

"Which one shall we play?" Jounouchi questions. Jounouchi lets out a surprised sound.

"What's wrong?" Yuugi asks, turning his head to look at him.

"Looks like it's here, too," Jounouchi replies.

"What's here?" I query.

Jounouchi continues to look to the side. "Look. On the ranking list are names." Yuugi and I turn our heads to look. "This KAI guy."

"KAI?" Yuugi repeats.

I let out a hmm. "I've seen that name on other games."

Jounouchi nods his head. "Not just here. Puzzle games. Fighter games. All the number one spots have this KAI guy."

Yuugi makes an amazed sound before looking away from the names to gaze up at Jounouchi. "Such an amazing person exists?"

"The games here are connected online to the rest of the nation's game centres. In other words, this KAI guy…is a gamer that is reigning on top of all games in Japan." Jounouchi comments.

Yuugi looks back at the names with a smile on his face. "I wonder what kind of person he is?"

I hear footsteps and turn to see Anzu and Miho standing behind us. Anzu has her eyes closed and arms folded across her chest. "What are you two so excited about?"

Yuugi and Jounouchi let out a slight flinch, causing me to release a soft chuckle.

"We came here to welcome Bakura-kun, right?" Miho scolds.

Yuugi turns his head to look at them sheepishly, a hand at the side of his head. "Ah…right. Sorry."

"Where's Honda?" I question, looking around. I notice him near one of the machines. "Never mind. Found him."

"D One." I hear Honda mutter.

Miho walks over to him. "Mou…Honda-kun, too?"

Honda looks at Miho sheepishly, a blush on his cheeks. "Ummm…no…"

Jounouchi looks away from Honda and smirks back at the name. "At any rate, let's rewrite KAI's record with Bakura."

Two children laugh. "That's impossible."

"What an idiot."

Jounouchi glances at them. "What?" He demands.

"You can't break Kaiba-kun's record." One of the boys' comments.

Jounouchi turns around and glares down at them. "What? Where?"

I blink. "Did you just…" I start.

"…say Kaiba?" Yuugi finishes.

"Yeah." The first boy agrees.

"He's our hero." The second boy adds.

"KAI…KAI must beam Kaiba-kun." Yuugi comments.

"It must be." I agree.

"Kaiba…That guy?" Jounouchi exclaims.

"It is to be expected with Kaiba being the first in so many games." I point out.

Yuugi nods his head. "Kaiba-kun is an expert on various games besides Duel Monsters…"

"You don't know anything, do you?" The first boy taunts. "That's Kaiba-sama. The older brother."

"Kaiba-sama is indeed strong…But the high score records are done by his little brother, Mokuba-kun." The second boy adds.

"Mokuba?" Jounouchi repeats, surprised. "Kaiba? That guy has a little brother?"

"Those brothers have won all kinds of games." The second boy states.

"Bye! Good luck challenging those records." The first boy taunts.

The second boy holds up a hand. "It'll take you an eternity." He says as the pair of them walk off.

"Why you…" Jounouchi curses.

Yuugi lowers his head and blinks his eyes. I let out a soft sigh before Anzu let out a sound of amazement. "Bakura-kun, you're good."

Bakura is on the crane game. He easily gets one of the prizes that Anzu takes.

"Wow!" Miho cheers. "Get that next for Miho!"

Honda rushes over and stands next to Miho. "Miho-chan! Please leave this to me!"

I let out a soft chuckle. "There goes Honda again."

"Shall we go too, Yuugi? Isis?" Jounouchi queries.

"Yeah." Yuugi and I agree at the same time.

We walk over. Yuugi notices one of the games, and his eyes light up. "I like this. A fighting game. The character I'm going to use is Dragon 1. He's a kung-fu master."

Jounouchi releases a faint sound of amazement. "It's just like from a movie."

"Yeah. Action star Dragon 1 appears as himself in the game." Yuugi replies happily. "I'm a big fan of Dragon 1."

Jounouchi heads to the other side of the machine. "Alright! Let's have a duel."

I let out a chuckle before looking toward Honda and the others. Honda is having a go at the crane machine. He got one of the prizes, but it slipped out of the claw, causing him to pale.

"Honda-kun, you're pretty bad." Miho comments.

Honda lowers his head. "I'm ashamed…"

I let out another chuckle before looking back at Jounouchi when he shouts.

Anzu walks over and looks at Jounouchi's screen, her arms folded across her chest. "What? You're pretty weak, Jounouchi."

"Shut up! I'm not losing in a real fight, though." Jounouchi comments.

Miho stands next to Yuugi. "Surprisingly, Miho likes this."

"Then, do you want to try?" Yuugi offers.

Miho lets out a sound of agreement.

"This time, I'm not losing," Jounouchi comments with a grin.

The match is quickly over. Miho laughs happily. "I won!"

Anzu lets out a teasing sound as Jounouchi glares at his screen. "Somehow."

Miho heads over to the racing game and smiles at it. "Let's do that next!"

The others, apart from Miho and me, take a seat.

"You can do it, Bakura-kun!" Miho cheers.

I chuckle as Honda glares at Bakura from the corner of his eye.

"Start!" Yuugi calls out.

All the cars apart from the red one zoom off.

Jounouchi lets out a shout. "I got left behind!" A black car appears on the screen next to Jounouchi's, pushing it slightly. "What's with him? Whose car is that?"

"Pretty lousy. You won't get on the rankings." A voice states.

I narrow my eyes as I look at the screen. "That voice…" I trail off.

"It is coming from the game." Yuugi comments, surprised.

The car window lowers, and a young boy gazes out of the window. "That would never reach my high score." He laughs.

"High score?" Honda repeats. "It can't be; he's…!"

"Let me show you a more fun game." He lifts a black bomb and throws it out of the window. It causes an explosion in the game. The screens are covered with the blast from the explosion before the screen changes to show the words Kaiba Corporation.

"What is this?" Anzu questions.

"Kaiba Corporation." Yuugi reads out.

"Then, Kaiba's company," I add.

Just then, Kaiba appears on the screen. "Yuugi, this time, we will settle things."

"Kaiba-kun!" Yuugi exclaims, surprised.

"Kaiba," Bakura repeats.

"Hey! What is all this?" Jounouchi demands.

"It's an invitation," Kaiba replies. "Yuugi, come to Kaiba Land." An image of Kaiba Land appears.

"Kaiba Land?" Yuugi repeats, confused.

"What an arrogant thing to say," Anzu says, annoyed. "If you want to duel Yuugi, you should come here!"

Kaiba appears back on the screen. "You have no choice but to come, Yuugi." He looks to the left. "Hey, Mokuba."

Mokuba appears on the screen.

"Mokuba? So, he is Kaiba's little brother!" Jounouchi exclaims.

"He looks like an elementary schooler!" Anzu adds, surprised.

"That boy got all the high scores?" Yuugi queries in amazement.

Mokuba lets out a laugh before pointing his thumb to the side. "Hey, Yuugi, look at this."

A light flashes on the screen to show Grandfather tied up.

"Jii-chan! / Grandfather!" Yuugi and I call out at the same time.

Mokuba appears back on the screen. "He's just an old man. He's bait for a certain boy to come to Kaiba Land."

Kaiba appears on the screen next to Mokuba. "If you want the old man back…You have to duel me. And we have various games that you have to win before reaching me. If you lose on the way, you have to immediately retire…and the old man will face a punishment game."

Mokuba laughs and dances about. "Punishment game! Punishment game!"

Yuugi stands up. "Jii-chan has nothing to do with this! Why are you doing this, Kaiba-kun?"

"Because I cannot forget all the humiliation you have dealt me," Kaiba replies. "If you're not confident, have those guys back you up. If you lose, they face a punishment game with you."

"You'll face a punishment game if you lose, too, right?" Jounouchi demands.

A close-up of Kaiba appears on the screen. "In the unlikely chance that happens, that won't occur. If you win, you will get a prize."

A close-up of Mokuba appears on the screen. "But nii-sama won't need to appear. Because you won't beat me."

Kaiba appears back on the screen. "We'll be waiting at Kaiba Land tomorrow morning at 8."

Kaiba disappears from the screen, and the words GAME OVER appear.

We gaze at the screens in silence before Yuugi breaks it. "Why…?"

Yami's Puzzle glows. I look at Bakura when he lets out a sound of pain and grabs his chest.

Miho looks at him, worried. "What's wrong, Bakura-kun?"

"I'm fine…" He leans forward. "If I go home and rest…" He stands up.

Miho places her hand on his arms. "Bakura-kun, Miho will walk you home."

Honda hurriedly stands up. "Miho-chan, I'm going too." Honda turns his head to look at Jounouchi. "Jounouchi."

"Yeah. Leave this to us." Jounouchi agrees.

Honda and Miho walk on either side of Bakura as they head towards the door. Miho places a hand on Bakura's back. "Are you okay, Bakura-kun?"

I look away from them and look back at Yuugi, his head lowered. "Jii-chan…Why is Kaiba-kun doing that?"

"Yuugi…" Anzu mutters.

"Kaiba-kun…Why does he hate me?" Yuugi queries, confused. "Could it be related to my recent lapses in memory?"

"Yuugi…" I mutter softly before letting out a sigh.

Jounouchi walks over to Yuugi. "At any rate, all we need to do is beat Kaiba at a game. We'll win and get your jii-san back. And we'll get the prize!"

"Kaiba-kun is really powerful. He's not easy to beat." Yuugi states.

"Why are you showing weakness before trying?" Jounouchi scolds.

"Because if I lose, Jii-chan will suffer!" Yuugi exclaims.

"If you don't go and win, your jii-san will just remain there!" Jounouchi points out.

Yuugi looks away. Jounouchi gazes down at Yuugi. "I understand your worries." He points a thumb at himself. "It's okay. I'll go with you."

"No!" Yuugi denies. "Umm…Jounouchi-kun…you're bad at games…"

Jounouchi grabs hold of Yuugi's shirt and lifts him. "Yuugi, you…!"

Anzu pushes Jounouchi away, causing him to release Yuugi. "Stop it, Jounouchi."

Yuugi walks off.

Anzu gazes at Yuugi's back. "Yuugi is upset."

"That's right." Jounouchi agrees. "If he weren't, I'd knock him out."

Yuugi sits down on a stool, his head lowered. I sighed, walked over to him, and sat beside him.

Yuugi gazes at the game screen that shows Dragon 1. "If I were as strong as Dragon 1…But this is all I have, right? I don't have any special powers."

"Yuugi, you…" Anzu starts, but Jounouchi cuts her off. "Don't waste time thinking! Go and win!"

Anzu places a hand on Jounouchi's shoulder. "Jounouchi, let's leave him with Isis for a bit. 'Til he calms down."

"I'll go buy something to drink." Jounouchi offers. "Yuugi, what do you want?"

"I don't want anything." Yuugi declines.

I let out a sigh. "We'll have cola."

"Wait right there," Jounouchi states before he and Anzu walk off.

I hear footsteps and narrow my eyes when someone walks by Yuugi and sits on the other side of Yuugi. An image of Dragon 1 suddenly appears on Yuugi's screen with the words 'Challenger'.

Yuugi's eyes widen, and I narrow my eyes at the male on the other side of the machine.

"Be my opponent." The male demands.

Yuugi looks up. "Uumm…but…"

"Hurry up." He orders.

Yuugi looks at me, and I nod my head. Yuugi places the coin into the slot, and Yuugi's chosen character, Dragon 1, appears on the screen.

~~~3rd POV~~~

Jounouchi takes a sip of his drink before lowering it. "I understand his worries, but how will getting scared help?"

"There's pressure from facing Kaiba-kun alone." Anzu points out.

"But I said I was going," Jounouchi states.

"Yuugi doesn't want to be a burden on us." Anzu comments. "If we lose, there's a punishment game, right?"

Jounouchi looks at Anzu. "That's what a loner would do."

Anzu lowers her head. "Yuugi is that kind of boy. But…I believe…in Yuugi's power."

~~~Isis's POV~~~

It isn't long before the match ends, and Yuugi easily wins.

Yuugi looks at his screen, surprised. "Another challenge?"

I narrow my eyes at the male. Again?

Yuugi plays again and easily wins, even with his mind distracted.

The male suddenly stands up. "Hey, brat!"

Yuugi and I suddenly look. I narrow my eyes when I see him clench his fist. I catch his fist in my hand when he punches Yuugi. "What do you think you are doing?"

He yanks his fist from my hand. He lets out a tch. "Brat! Don't get a big head just because you won a game. Let me show you what a real fight is like."

He throws a kick, which I easily block. He moves away and lets out another tch. Yuugi walks over to me, worried. "Isis-nee."

I look at Yuugi. "I'm fine."

Distracted, I didn't notice the male throwing a kick. He completely ignored me and kicked Yuugi away from me, and Yuugi landed on the floor. "Yuugi!" I call out.

The male laughs. "Where's that victorious expression from before? Try laughing again!"

"I'm not so..." Yuugi mutters.

The male kicks Yuugi again. The male lowers his gaze and notices Yami's Puzzle. "What an interesting pendant. I'll take this as payment for your real fight lesson." He reaches out to grab it.

"No!" Yuugi calls out.

"Don't you dare," I warn.

He ignores us and grabs the Puzzle from around Yuugi's next. I rush over to Yuugi, who holds his hand out before him. "Give that back!"

"Shut up!" He shouts before he throws another kick.

I narrow my eyes and block his kick with my arm. I throw his leg away from me.

The male laughs and walks off. "Relieving stress through a real fight is the best!"

I hear rushed footsteps and look to see Anzu and Jounouchi running over.

"Yuugi! Isis!" Jounouchi calls out.

"What happened, Yuugi? Isis?" Anzu questions, worried.

"Puzzle…My Millennium Puzzle…" Yuugi mutters, upset.

"What?" Jounouchi exclaims. "Don't worry." Jounouchi looks towards the door. "I'll go get it back."

"No! Jounouchi-kun, he's really strong." Yuugi warns.

"Shut up!" Jounouchi scolds. "Leave it to me!" Jounouchi rushes out of the door.

I let out a sigh. "Yuugi, you should believe in your friends more."

"Isis-nee…" Yuugi trails off.

I smile down at him. "It will be alright. Believe in Jounouchi."

Yuugi nods his head.

~~~3rd POV~~~

The male walks down the street, a hand holding Yami's Puzzle. "This pendant is pretty well made." He comes to a stop. "I like it."

"Wait up!" A male voice demands.

The male turns to see Jounouchi standing there, hands in his pocket and a scowl on his face.

"You bastard…How dare you do that to my bud!" Jounouchi demands angrily.

"You challenging me?" The male queries.

Jounouchi takes a step forward. "I'm going to kick your ass! And I'm going to get that pendant back!"

The male lets out a hmm. "Looks like this guy is a bit tougher. A straight-out fight would be boring. Accompany me for my game."

Jounouchi narrows his eyes. "Game?"

Jounouchi follows him to a dimly lit street. They both stand on the pipe above some water.

"The rule is simple. If you knock your opponent down, you win. But if you leave this water pipe, you lose."

Jounouchi stands there with his hand inside his pockets. "Thank you for the explanation. Just wait; I'll beat you right away."

The male lets out a scoff. "Let me tell you one thing. I've got kung-fu like Dragon 1. This location is nothing to me."

"Then I won't need to hold back," Jounouchi replies without hesitation. "I won't need fists to bring down an imposter Dragon like you."

The male's eyes widen, and he clenches his teeth before rushing forward. "You bastard!"

He punches at Jounouchi, who easily dodges out of the way with a smirk. Jounouchi kicks the male's foot from under him. The male lets out a yell as he loses his balance slightly.

"Hey, hey. What's wrong, Mister Imposter?" Jounouchi taunts.

The male regains his balance. "Don't get cocky!" He takes nunchucks from his back pocket and holds them above his head.

"You bastard…" Jounouchi curses.

"I didn't say this way a barehanded game." The male swings them about towards Jounouchi.

Jounouchi dodges out of the way each time but gets backed towards the end of the water pipe on his side.

The male lets out a laugh. "There's nowhere left to run!" He holds up his nunchucks. "I'll finish you!"

Jounouchi narrows his eyes. The male suddenly lets out a gasp as liquid sprays into his eyes. He yells and falls over the edge, hanging on the side of the pipe. Jounouchi is holding a can of cola. "You ruined my present for my bud."

The male lifts his head and looks at the can. "Cola?"

Jounouchi leans down and grabs the Millennium Puzzle from about the male's neck before standing back up. "This doesn't look good on you at all. Mister Imposter Dragon."

"Damn it…this isn't ending here…" The male mutters.

"Shut up." Jounouchi orders as he gazes down at the male. He kicks his hands from the side, and the male lands in the water below with a yell. Jounouchi lets out a scoff. "Don't catch a cold." He turns around and heads back to Yuugi, Isis, and Anzu.

~~~Isis's POV~~~

It isn't long before Jounouchi walks through the doors, Yami's Puzzle in his grasp.

"Jounouchi-kun," Yuugi calls out. Yuugi takes back his Puzzle.

"Tomorrow, I'm going with you," Jounouchi states.

"But…" Yuugi trails off, worried.

"I'm not scared of some punishment game. We're buds, right?" Jounouchi points out.

Yuugi looks at him with wide eyes before a smile appears. "Thanks."

"I told you it would be alright," I commented softly.

Yuugi nods his head. "Isis-nee."

I let out a soft chuckle and pat Yuugi's head.

Anzu looks at Jounouchi. "By the way, what'll you do about your weakness at games?"

"Shut up! I'll handle it somehow." Jounouchi states confident.

Yuugi looks up at Jounouchi with starry eyes, causing me to chuckle. We head out separate ways until tomorrow morning.

~~~3rd POV~~~

~~~With Jounouchi~~~

Jounouchi is sitting at his desk, face pale, reading a book. "I'll read through it all tonight. Leave it to me tomorrow, Yuugi!"

~~~With Anzu~~~

Anzu is standing in front of her stove, cooking some food. She pauses and lowers her gaze before going back to cooking. It's okay, Yuugi. You are a strong person. She lifts her head. Be more confident.

She places food inside different bentou. "This is Yuugi's favourite. Isis isn't picky about food. Honda's is fried chicken. Miho's is natto." She looks up thoughtfully. "What is Jounouchi's favourite?" She looks at the bentou. "Oh well."

~~~With Miho~~~

Miho is sitting in front of her vanity, brushing her hair. "I wonder if Bakura-kun is in poor health? And Yuugi-kun…" Her brush pauses. "I wonder if tomorrow will be okay."

~~~With Honda~~~

Honda is sitting on the floor of his bedroom in a meditation pose. "The world is spirit and presence of mind. If I have that…I will surely win…!"

A dog starts barking, snapping him out of his shouting. He gazes at his window sheepishly.

~~~With Yuugi and Isis~~~

The pair of them stand outside their grandfather's empty bedroom door. "Jii-chan…" Yuugi mutters with his head lowered.

Isis lets out a sigh and places her hand on his shoulder. "It will be alright."

Yuugi nods his head before looking back at his Puzzle once more. "The Millennium Puzzle has given me friends, right? And this Puzzle has given me power."

Isis nods her head. "Everything will work out if you believe in yourself and your friends.

"Tomorrow, we'll save you. With our friends." Yuugi states.

"Without a doubt." Isis agrees.

~~~With Bakura~~~

Bakura is standing in front of a mirror before unbuttoning his shirt. What's happening to me? I've been strange since I touched Yuugi-kun's pendant. He opens his shirt to show a necklace with the same eye design as Yuugi's. That pendant…very much like my own. Is that pain because of this ring? But…why?

~~~Next Morning~~~

The sun has only just begun to rise, a fog covering the surroundings. Three figures walk into the same fog. It is Yuugi, Isis, and Jounouchi. Isis and Yuugi are wearing their usual outfits. Jounouchi is wearing a blue t-shirt and grey jeans with suspenders over his shoulders.

"Did you sleep okay last night?" Jounouchi questions.

"Yep!" Yuugi replies happily.

Isis nods her head. "I did. What about you, Jounouchi?"

"Me? I was fine." Jounouchi replies, causing Yuugi to let out a giggle. "You don't seem scared anymore."

"Of course! I'm not alone, after all." Yuugi comments happily.

"Yeah! That's the spirit." Jounouchi praises. "Let's save your jii-san and humiliate Kaiba."

"Yeah!" Yuugi and Isis agree.

Footsteps are heard before a figure appears next to Isis. "Good morning!"

"Anzu?" Yuugi exclaims, surprised.

"Let's do our best today, Yuugi. Isis." Anzu states.

Anzu is wearing a turquoise shirt with a white collar over a black strap top and a turquoise skirt.

"Our best?" Yuugi repeats. "Anzu, don't tell me…"

"It could be dangerous," Isis warns.

Anzu shakes her head with a smile. "I came to cheer. But if I can help, let me know."

"But…" Yuugi trails off hesitantly.

"We're bud, right?" Anzu points out.

"Yuugi, what did I tell you yesterday?" Isis scolds.

"Isis-nee…" Yuugi looks down before looking back up. "Yeah."

"Well, I'm here. That'll be enough." Jounouchi comments confidently.

Another figure appears next to Jounouchi. "Wait, wait!"

"What's with you?" Jounouchi questions.

"The manly Honda Hiroto is here!" Honda calls out. "Expect a lot, Yuugi! Isis!"

Honda is wearing a crème/yellow T-shirt with black trousers.

"You're coming too?" Jounouchi queries.

"As a beautification member, I can't overlook Kaiba's dirty way, right?" Honda states seriously.

A figure appears next to Anzu. "Everyone, do your best."

"M-Miho-chan, too?" Honda stutters, surprised.

Miho is wearing a pink short-sleeved top with a black and white stripe down the front and a beige skirt.

"Miho is going to cheer," Miho says happily.

Isis, Jounouchi, Honda, Anzu, and Miho look at Yuugi with smiles. Yuugi looks at them before looking in front of him, a confident look on his face. "Everyone, thank you."

"Thank us after we beat Kaiba." Jounouchi teases.

Isis lets out a chuckle. "Let's go."

Bakura appears near a pear, breathing heavily with his hand on his chest. He lifts his head and gazes at the building on the other side of the water. "I'm being called…Something is calling me!"

Inside Kaiba Corporation, Kaiba and Mokuba are standing near a large window, gazing outside.

"They're here." Kaiba comments.

"They're here," Mokuba repeats.

Yuugi, Isis, and the others are heading toward their destination on a boat.

"We're going now, Jii-chan/ Grandfather." Yuugi and Isis comment at the same time.
