The rest of the first day went by quickly. Everyone discovered they shared a class with at least one person from their friend group.
It was refreshing that they had at least someone in their classes. Sometimes class can be boring and it's nice to be with your friends.
A week later.
Arizona woke up with a smile on her face. She quickly got dressed and went downstairs where her family was.
"Good morning, Mom, Dad and Timmy." Arizona said, smiling, walking towards the kitchen.
"Zona, good morning sweetheart I made you blueberry pancakes." Her mother Barbara Robbins said.
She tucked her food and joined her brother and father at the table.
"So, dad, my football tryouts are after school, and I was going to the arcade. Can I borrow the car later and Zona can get her ride from one of our friends." Tim said, shoving his pancakes.
"Sure, why not." Daniel said. "Arizona, do you have something to do later?" Daniel asked his daughter.
"Me and my friends are going to work on our project and then Callie and I are going to work from 5 to 11."
Tim gave his sister a knowing look. "Tim don't."
"What?" he said, holding up his hands. He came closer to her and whispered, "Are you ever going to tell Callie?"
"No. Not right now. And how do you know, only Alex and Teddy know?" She looks at Tim with a confused look.
"Because I know how I can keep things in, whether it's for the good or worse." she said
"What are you two talking about?" Daniel asked his twins.
"Don't I suspect our Arizona has a crush on someone. But I don't understand what Arizona can't tell Callie. Honey, I thought you guys were best friends." Barabra asked.
"Nothing mom, it's just a thing that is embarrassing that only Teddy, Alex and Timothy knows and I don't want the rest of my friends finding out." Arizona said, while she stomped on Tim's foot.
"Is it that Eliza girl that I see at your summer softball games?"
"No, she's just a girl from my school." Arizona says, rolling her eyes at the mention of Eliza Minniek.
After they finished, they said goodbye to their parents and left to go to school.
At School
Arizona and Tim got out of their car and headed towards where the rest of their friends were.
"Hey Robbins twins, you guys are coming to my party Friday night." Mark said. Mark's parents are rich, and he owns a big backyard with a pool.
Arizona nodded and went to Callie.
"Hey Calliope, are you giving me a ride to work after our session?" Arizona asked Callie, "Tim's going out after his practice."
Callie looked at Arizona with a kind smile and said "yeah, sure of course you can." She smiled at her and then continued her conversation with Mark and Derek about the party on Friday.
"So, guys, we are inviting every senior and Lexie Grey from the junior class. How about if we open the beach house for a space since my parents are out of town. Cal, did you let your parents know that you are coming to mine after school, right?" Mark looked at her.
Callie looks at Mark and gives him a nod.
After that the friend groups chatted a bit about their project and what they wanted to have at Mark's party on the way to their homeroom class.
LUNCH
Callie and Mark held back to talk a bit more about the party as everyone sat in the outside cafeteria.
"So, for the party I was wondering if you have any heaters at your house for the poolside that would be great." Mark said.
Callie was just about to answer him when she heard an annoying voice.
"Hey Callie."
She turned to face her ex-girlfriend, Erica. The same person that hated her friends and she doesn't even remember why she dated her.
She faked a smile and said, "Hi Erica, how was your summer?"
Erica smiled and said, "It was good, I've missed you." Erica misses her and wants her back.
Callie nodded and didn't say anything.
Mark watched the awkwardness and tried to diffuse it. "Well, I see Robbins and the others, me and Cal are going to meet up with our friends."
"Wait, I heard something about a party Friday night." Erica stopped them.
"Yes, Mark and I are hosting it at his parents' house. You want to come?" Callie said. Hating herself for suggesting it. She really doesn't like her ex.
"Yeah sure. I hope we can talk at the party." Erica said. Looking over to see Callie's friend, but she rolled her eyes when she saw Arizona.
Why is she everywhere? She turned around and walked away to her friend.
Callie sat down beside Arizona and Mark looked a little annoyed.
"We saw that back there, are you okay Calliope?" Arizona said, looking a bit concerned. She may not know everything why they broke up like Addison, but she knew how bad Erica was during their relationship.
"Yeah, I'm fine, don't worry." She's touched that her friends are worried about her.
"She's a bitch." Addison said from across the table.
Especially Arizona.
God.
The things she makes her feel.
She's crushing so hard. The way she laughs, the way she smiles with those dimples.
God damn
.
She's one of the sweetest people she's ever met.
The way she–
Callie's thoughts were interrupted.
"Cal, stop daydreaming and pay attention." Mark whispered to her making sure no-one is paying attention
"Cal, you know if you ever need Owen and me to take care of it we got you." Cristina said. She's always hated Hahn.
"Ya, me and Cristina got this." Owen said, nodding at his girlfriend. They would do anything for their friend.
Everyone else started speaking in agreement and Callie was grateful she had such great friends.
"So, the party starts at 7 but if you guys want to come around 5 that would be great." Mark said.
Everyone nodded. Callie was just about to speak up when she noticed someone approaching their table. She just rolled her eyes.
"Can I bring chips and Beer?" Alex said he knew he had to get that.
"I'll bring candy and some cho…" Arizona was about to finish when she lost her train of thought.
Everyone looked to see what she was looking at.
Oh Great. Callie thought.
Eliza Minnick came up to the group and went straight to Arizona.
"Arizona, I am so sorry to interrupt you guys, but can you help me with jr. tryouts tomorrow." Arizona nodded.
Eliza left smiling at that.
"You do know she has a massive crush on you. Don't you?" Callie looked at her.
"Yes, but she is nice and knows that I am not interested." Arizona looks at Callie.
"But she always hangs off of you when she's around. It's annoying." Callie rolled her eyes.
She kept to herself for the rest of lunch thinking of what she should do about her crush.
FRIDAY
Everything was going well with schoolwork. Seniors felt excited about Mark's party and were discussing it with their friends.
It was the talk of the week while Callie and Mark got everything sorted with the help of their friends to have a great part for their senior class
Friday dragged slowly and the day felt like it took forever to end.
"Hey guys, don't forget to be at Mark's place for 5." Callie told their friends.
Mark and Callie fell on the couch finishing setting up
"I'm going to change into Jeans and a button down, you're welcome to get change in the guest house before our friends get here." Mark said getting up.
Callie thanked him and headed towards the guest house.
A while later she's back in the living room with Mark wearing ripped jeans and a low-cut shirt.
"Damn Torres you look hot," Mark whistled. "Dressing for anyone in particular?" Mark said with his eyebrows raised.
"Shut up." She blushed. " I swear mark if you–" Callie's train of thought was cut when they heard the doorbell.
Mark went to the doorbell to see that all their friends came plus Lexie Grey,
"Hey guys come in before the party starts."
Just then they all walked in and all started helping Mark and Callie finish setting it up.
Teddy, Alex and Arizona went outside, finishing setting up their backs, while everyone worked in the living room.
An hour later the party was in full swing.
People crowded the back and the house.
Callie walked over to Tim and teddy.
"Nice party Cal, Sloan would never be able to do this without you." Tim said, taking a drink of his coke.
Callie smiled and went to dance around. There were so many people at this party.
Callie walked towards the kitchen where she spotted Erica.
"Hey Callie, I was hoping to see you." Erica smiled.
"Erica, what a nice run in." Callie said with a tight fake smile.
"Hey, I think we need to talk about our whole break-up. I think I made a mistake a few months ago." Erica talked. "I think I made a mistake." She moved in closer to Callie and tried to kiss her on the lips.
Callie instantly felt lips on hers, but not the ones she's been dreaming about for all summer.
She pushed Erica away and slapped her on the face.
"Nope, we broke up. I don't want you back." Callie yelled and walked away to find Addison.
Callie walked towards her friends and started dancing.
A while later
That's what everyone was doing now and just having fun.
Everyone is just goofing around and dancing to funky music.
The music was upbeat and exciting, and people were having a good time.
There were people goofing outside playing basketball in Mark's outdoor hoops and there were some people all over his house just making out this was fun.
Callie was dancing around till she felt a tingle on the back of her neck. She turned around and saw Arizona and Teddy.
Teddy was close to Arizona and telling something hilarious because Arizona kept on throwing her head back.
Man, Arizona's smile can light the whole room.
People were dancing, Chatting and eating all over and the party was going crazy.
There were people screaming and Callie walked through the crowd to talk to Arizona.
"Hey, Teds, can I steal Arizona from you.?" She asked her friend.
Teddy nodded and gave Arizona a look before she went to find Addison.
Callie took Arizona's hand and was about to take her to a secure area, but she started talking.
"Arizona, I have something very important to ask you? I want to ask you privately before any of our friends disturbed." Callie said looking serious in Arizona.
"Okay…" Arizona looked at Callie nervously.
"Man, this is hard to say. But I know you saw Erica tried to kiss me, but it meant nothing. The whole time she kissed me I thought about you." Callie revealed, "I want to be more than friends with you, but we need to keep it a secret for a while."
Arizona stared at Callie in shock. Did Callie say that?
Holy. Shit. Her eyes widen
"Arizona," Callie said, trying to get her attention back.
She was nervous about Arizona's reaction. But then she saw a big bright smile on her face.
"Wow, Calliope, have I not been obvious I like you too. The reason why I haven't said anything was because of our friendship and then you got with Erica last year and I thought I missed my chance." Arizona said a little shyly.
Whew.
She likes her back.
Omg
"Do you think you want to try this? But keep it to us for a little while?" Callie said.
Arizona looked around making sure no-one was there and stepped closer to Callie.
"Like…. Dating in secret?" She smirked.
"Yes, for a little while. I don't want to mess this up and I don't want Erica to come for you." Callie said
"I'm in, we can go back to the party like nothing happened. I want you to be myself for now and no one should know." Arizona said. "Is there another reason why? Do you still have feelings for Erica?"
"Hell no. But she really hates you and I don't want her to treat you more like crap than she already does." Callie wants to protect Arizona at all costs.
The two smiled at each other.
Callie took another step closer and was now very close to Arizona
"Can I uh..." she looks down at Arizona's lips and then back into her eyes. "Can I uh Kiss you."
Arizona smiles harder and says, "I've been wanting to hear you say that all summer."
Callie was just about to lean in to kiss Arizona for the first time until her phone Buzzed.
Mark
•Cal, where are you?
Callie
•Outside talking to AZ, we'll be right there,
"Mark's looking for me, but we'll talk this weekend." Callie looked at her and then just before she walked away, she kissed Arizona on the cheek.
Arizona stayed dumbfounded for a minute before she walked back into the house, knowingly the girl of her dreams confessed her feelings for her.
