Adam had woken early feeling well rested. However it was too early to wake his family. He knew they all needed more sleep. Especially Kim. They both knew she was chronically tired and that she tried her best to work through it. She was doing well but he wasn't rushing her to wake. He decided to lay still and look at social media while she slept. She was partially on top of him so moving would wake her so he stayed where he was. He was fine with that though. He saw the photos he posted yesterday had dozens of likes and replies. He took the time to read through them and even replied to some. A few of the comments were not the most positive. He chose to comment back letting them know how much he loved his family. And that he was sure he was making the best decision in his life. He knew people would not be happy about the relationship status since it seemed rushed but he knew where their hearts were.

It was roughly an hour later when he felt her stirring. He heard her little whimpers as she stretched out her arms and back. Adam was loving it because she was pressing her breasts closer to his mouth. He allowed himself to kiss the one closest to him. Hearing her moan softly. "Good morning my darling." He kissed her body again. "Good morning my love." Kim whispered as she kissed his chest. "How are you feeling this morning?" He saw her eyes still closed but she was awake, relaxed her fingers wondering over his chest. "I'm good." She shook her head. "Darling I know your ears didn't decompress. And I know you didn't want to talk about it in front of the kids but how are you feeling really?" He had wondered but she seemed okay. "Um I'm okay ish. My ears still feel plugged, the crackle and popping is still there. This normally turns into an ear infection but I will deal with that and let it heal on its own. I hate antibiotics. Especially since I'm allergic to most of them. The only one that works is rough of my stomach. And antibiotics mean birth control doesn't work so that's something to think about too. But right now I feel okay." She explained looking up at him.

"Well I'm not okay with you suffering so if you need the antibiotics then take them. We can go a week or two without having sex or just use condoms it's fine. I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about you being in pain or being sick. And I'm sure it will get worse when we fly back so if you need antibiotics take them please." He kissed her head hoping she would listen to him. "We will see when we get home. But let's focus on here and now. Today we are taking you parasailing. I will be filming the entire thing to share with our friends. Our kids cheering you on. And then we can do whatever else you want to do. So what do you want to do?" She asked looking up seeing the excitement in his eyes. "Well I'm so excited for parasailing! I absolutely can't wait to try it. And I'm excited for the you and the kids watching. I saw there is a children's museum here that I think the kids would like. And I want to get some fresh seafood for dinner tonight. Other than that I just want to enjoy the beach as a family. How does that sound?" He knew she would be fine but he liked to double check.

"Sounds like a great plan. The kids will love that. You know they are up for most anything so they will have a great time. But I think the best part for them is getting to do these things with their daddy." She watched his smile get brighter. "I still love hearing that. My heart is filled with so much love for the kids. I'm so lucky to call them my kids. And so lucky to be their father." He almost cried but he held back a bit. "You are a beautiful man. Inside and out. I love the fuck out of you!" She laughed crashing her lips on his. "I love the fuck out of you too!" He laughed before kissing her hard once again. "Should we shower before the kids get up?" Kim but her lip looking at him. "Oh absolutely! Let's go!" He helped her up so neither got hurt before he scoped her up carrying her to the bathroom. He placed her down to turn on the shower. While the water warmed up the couple made out like two teenagers.

"Let's continue this in the shower." Kim moaned feeling his lips on her neck. "That's the plan." He whispered carrying her into the shower. He let her down but their bodies stayed connected as he kissed all over her chest making it to her breasts. He licked around the mound, flicking the nipple with tongue before sucking on her nipple. He heard her moaning. He also felt her hand going down to stroke him. "No you don't! I'm not finishing like that right now. If you want me to come it will be inside you only." He moved her hand to his shoulder. "Then do it." It sounded like a challenge. Her eyes were closed but her smile looked like a smirk. "Challenge accepted darling!" He lifted her up. Her legs wrapped around his waist. He slammed inside her without warning. She moaned happily.

He thrusted hard and fast. Loving the moans coming from her mouth. He wasn't sure she would ever get this comfortable with sex but here they were. "Darling let it go!" He thrusted harder, his grip tightened so she wouldn't fall under the pressure. "You too! You are close I feel it!" She clenched her core keeping it tight as he hissed in pain. "God damn darling! God that feels amazing!" He groaned loving the tightness around him. "Finish first! You have to!" She reached down stroking his balls. He came immediately with a loud animalistic growl. Kim finished after him biting into his shoulder to hide the sound of her moan. It was loud but his body helped muffle it. Adam let her down, his arms growing tired. "God damn! That was insanely intense! We can do that again definitely!" He kissed her head as he slumped against her. "Oh yeah so damn good!" Her breathing heavy, her hands clenched on his body. "So hot! So fucking hot!" Adam moved to kiss her again. "Need cooler water please." He laughed moving her under the water but changed the temp to cool it off some for her.

"Better now?" He chuckled seeing her sighing under the water. "Oh yeah so much better." Kim started to wash her body and wash his body. He loved how tender she was with washing him. He washed his hair quickly before he stepped out to dry off. Kim shaved her legs while he watched her. "Enjoying the show?" Kim asked as she continued to work. "Of course! I love watching you like this. It's sexy!" Adam growled low looking over her body. "Down boy! The kids will be up soon." Kim laughed seeing him defeated. "Oh I know I can't wait to see them. I'm sure they will be hungry so that's mission number 1." He laughed knowing the kids were always hungry first thing. "Yup. Hence why I didn't wash my hair. Would take too long with my hungry babies waiting." Kim laughed knowing how impatient they could get it. "Oh yeah no one needs cranky babies who are hungry." Adam cringed knowing how bad they could be when hungry.

"Let's hurry up then!" Kim laughed as she got out of the shower. She dried off quickly and dressed before brushing her teeth. Adam brushed his teeth and then headed to wake the kids. He found them both playing in their room. "Well good morning! What are we doing up already?" He smiled down at them. "Daddy! Morning!" He caught them both for a hug. "Are you guys ready to go potty and get dressed?" He asked watching them smile. "Okay let's go babies." He moved them to their bathroom. He helped each one on the toilet and then washing their hands as they headed back to the bedroom to get dressed for the day. Kim joined them seeing them almost ready for the day. "Good morning babies!" Kim got down to hug them both. "Mommy! Good morning!" Both kids were excited to see her. "Are we ready to go to breakfast?" Kim asked watching them nod excitedly. "Well let's go then." Adam scooped them up moving them to the door. Kim grabbed her purse, the diaper bag and stroller. The kids were buckled in and the family headed out for the morning.

"Oh my it's beautiful outside today!" Kim looked up at the sun soaking it in. "It's definitely a great day! Beach weather for sure." He watched her smiling brightly. "You are made for the sun darling." He loved watching her in the sun. She was always happy. The small family found a little restaurant that was packed full of diners. This looked like the spot to be. They were seated promptly. Kim ordered the kids food first knowing it was better to feed them then make them wait. "So kiddos today dad is going try parasailing. So we are sit on the dock watching him okay?" Both kids nodded. "Mommy has done it before so now it's my turn to try it." Adam was excited about it. "Well east coast life allowed for lots of water sports. So now it's your turn to experience it. Next summer I want to try sand boarding so maybe we can try that together?" Kim suggested since she had already done so much.

"What is sand boarding?" He hadn't heard of it and he knew most sports. "It's like snow boarding but on the sand. So you just need some decent dunes and a board. It looks like fun and a challenge which we both love. And it would be cool to experience this together since it's a first." Kim knew he would love it even more trying to find new things for them to do together. "Sounds like a great idea! I want to try new things together so that would be great." He smiled wide knowing she was really trying to build their relationship with new experiences not just healing trauma. "How do you feel about winter sports?" He asked unsure since she never mentioned it. "I hate winter! And of course living in Chicago makes no sense with that but it is what it is. But no I really don't like winter. And I don't like skiing. Maybe ice skating but I was never given the chance to try as a kid. My parents were not sports people." Kim shrugged. "Oh I figured that! Neither looked athletic at all. I know they are older but still they look like they have never run in their lives." Adam wasn't trying to be mean but it was the truth.

"Yeah not so much. I wish the would have encouraged us to play sports and to be athletic but they didn't. And yeah I played basketball but they never encouraged it. I used to shoot hoops in the driveway three hours a day. They never came out to play with me. Or even watch. I was alone. I remember playing against my sister one day. My mom was watching her kids. But anyway I got off a good shot and Carolyn was mad so she tripped me. My palms completely scraped up, my jeans ripped, my shoes scuffed. And my mom said nothing. I demanded Carolyn pay for my clothes and she never did. I stopped shortly after that." Kim was staring off as see spoke. "Sounds about right. When the kids get older we will make sure we foster their interest. Together and separate. I think that's important for the kids to have different interests too." He watched her nod. "It will be interesting to see what they pick. I hope it's not cheerleading since it's stupid expensive for all the gear and all the traveling and all the competitions. It's absolutely insane!" Kim shuddered. Adam laughed a bit.

"Only time will tell. But it will be one hell of a ride." He smiled taking her hand in his. The whole family was eating by this point loving this relaxed time together. After eating they headed out to a local place that did parasailing. The couple excited for different reasons. Kim paid as Adam read and signed the release forms. They ended down the dock to where the boat was. The kids were sitting in the stroller excited to watch their father try something new. Adam boarded the boat and was strapped into the harness. Kim started the video as the boat started to take off Kim filmed the whole thing as the parachute opened and lifted Adam off the boat. He was yelling and cheering the entire time. Enjoying every moment of flying high over the water. It was a short trip but he loved every second of it. As he stepped off the boat the smile couldn't have been brighter. "That was completely amazing! Thank you for letting me do that! We should do it again together next time. Like together on the same parachute." He hugged her tight.

"We can do that. I promise." She kissed him sweetly as they headed to the children's museum so the kids could run around and learn from doing experiments. As nap time approached they all headed back to their rental so the kids could nap. The kids could barely stay awake as they arrived. Adam carried both kids to bed since they wanted daddy to hold them. Kim followed behind to give them each a kiss on the cheek and I love you before they were sound asleep. The couple locked the front door and crashed outside on the deck listening to the ocean. "So was it everything you dreamed of?" Kim asked as she snuggled into his side. "Omg it was amazing. Really I've never felt that weightless. Never felt like that before. It was like flying. Would completely do it again any day. I can see why you loved living on the east coast. Getting to do these types of things so easily is awesome. You are 31 and you have done more things in your life than most do their entire life. It's just so cool." He explained looking into her eyes.

"Delaware has its own beaches which are nice but it's so close to the Jersey Shore, it's close to Ocean City MD, the Outer Banks, Virginia Beach. We could be to the ocean in less than 2 hours. It was a day trip. So it was easy. But like I said before we just have to plan to travel more. Maybe rent a bigger place next summer where Michael can stay with us for a few days. That way we can do the parasailing together. And whatever else you want to try. It's something to think about." Kim replied knowing he wasn't always sure she liked living in Chicago. "You are correct. We plan and we travel. Would you ever move back to Delaware?" He was curious about that. "In a heart beat if it was just me and the kids. But since I found you I don't know. I do love it there. And the education system is great. It's tax free shopping, low property tax, no income tax. Close to everything with a ton of diversity. That's a hard one for me to answer. Would you ever consider moving away from Chicago?" She wasn't sure that would ever be an option.

"For the right opportunity for our family, yes I would move. But it would have to be worth it to uproot all our lives. But it's not out of the question at all. I don't think either of us is ready to even think about moving especially since we are about to close on our new house in Chicago." He laughed a bit tickling her sides. "Hey you brought it up!" Kim laughed a bit more. "True I did. Just trying to figure out where your head is at. I think that's important to discuss." He watched her nodding. "It absolutely is. But I'm not looking to move east any time soon. Just know that I love Chicago mostly because you are there but I'm happy where we are. So I'm good right now. If I ever have a desire to move again I will let you know but I have a feeling it won't be till the kids are in college." Kim shrugged. She really didn't have a full answer for him. "That's all I ask. Just keep me in the loop." He kissed her pulling her into his arms just holding her. While it wasn't the most difficult conversation it was a bit hard. Not knowing if you are on the same page as your partner. It made things tough. But they were at least open to idea down the line which was good for them both.

"What else do you want to try that you haven't done yet?" He asked knowing she loved trying new things. "Um the place we go every summer has dune buggy rentals that can be driven on the beach. Like I drive the jeep on the beach all the time but taking a dune buggy just seems fun. I don't know. Um there also kayak tour that goes down a river with alligators. That would be cool to do without the kids. I would never want them near that. But it seems cool for us. What about you?" Kim asked wondering what he dreamed of. "Well both those sound cool. Dune buggy's just seems old school, different, fun. The river tour definitely not with the kids. One reaches over it could be a nightmare. So I agree." He agreed with her. "As for things I want to do, everything. Kite boarding, stand up paddle boarding, jet skis, oh the race car thing you did. Just so many cool things we can do together." He answered knowing they would have a fun life together.

"So stand up paddle boarding is fun but yoga on the stand up paddle board is the true challenge. It's beyond crazy hard. But I enjoyed it." Kim saw his eyes but out a bit. "Oh yeah crazy hard and fun." She laughed hugging him tight. "Not sure I want to that but I would love to watch you do that! Would be crazy hot!" He kissed her hard loving her body pressed against his. But they were outside and needed to keep it PG rated. She pulled back rested her forehead on his. "I love this and you but we need to keep it clean out here." She laughed kissing his sweetly. "Oh I know and I love you too! This right here, seeing you so happy and free is everything." He kissed her lovingly holding her tight. "I love being this free! It's exciting, fun, relaxing, calming, healing. It's insane how happy I am with you." She loved sitting on him, holding him tight, being able to kiss him freely. "I've never been this happy either. But I'm so thrilled we found each other." He buried his face under her chin kissing her neck.

"I think the kids will be up soon. Should we get some lunch ordered for all of us?" Kim asked not moving from his hold. "Not the worst idea though I'm loving this more." She felt him smirking. "Me too! But our babies need food. We can't be bad parents." Kim laughed a bit. "So very true. And I don't want to be a bad parent especially in my first month as a father." He held her tight but able to look into her eyes. "You have been a father a lot longer than a month. They have only called you that for a month. But it's definitely been longer. We both know that in our hearts!" They shared a powerful kiss before they entered the home to order lunch for the kids. "What should we order today?" Kim asked as they looked at their phones looking for local places to eat. "Maybe just sandwiches since we are doing seafood tonight?" He suggested. "Yeah that works, some fruit too. It would work with the going to the beach too. So let's do that." Kim settled next to Adam to order the food.

The couple heard the kids moving and headed to see the kids getting up. "Hey babies. How was your nap?" Kim asked sitting next to her kids. "Good. Hungry though." Milo leaned into Kim almost like he was still tired. She held him close noticing Mia in Adams arms. "Well we already ordered some lunch and it should be here soon. How about a snack while we wait?" Kim asked holding him close rocking him slightly. "Okay." Kim lifted him up bringing him to the living room where Kim had snacks for the kids. She traveled with lots of snacks always just in case. She loved being prepared for everything and would drive Adam crazy with it but it was the result of trauma and being a single parent. She handed eat of the kids a small snack pack that would hold them over till the food arrived. Both kids were still waking up some and took solace in the embrace of their parents. Adam loved these moments with his kids. Their small hands holding on to his shirt. Leaning against him for comfort. It brought him so much joy.

Kim only left the room to grab the food that had been delivered. She found her family in the same spot when she returned. "Do you guys want to eat outside on the patio?" Kim asked unsure how awake they were though they had finished their snacks. Both kids nodded and headed for the door. "Here take the bag I will grab the drinks from the fridge." Kim,had ordered some small things for the fridge but not a ton since they planned to eat out while exploring most days. But drinks were always needed so she had them delivered before they arrived. "Okay thank you!" Adam kissed her lightly hearing the kids gagging once more. The couple laughed and moved in different directions. Kim returned to the patio with drinks for the whole family. She noticed both kids eating happily already looking much more awake now. "Do you guys want to go to the beach after lunch?" Adam asked knowing it was what he wanted and hoped they did too. "Yes please!" Both kids cheered. They loved the beach and loved sharing it with their dad.

"Awesome! Maybe another walk to find more cool things like yesterday?" He offered knowing they were fascinated by the horseshoe crab the day before. "Sounds like a good plan. Hopefully no jellyfish today. I do not need to get stung by that." Kim shuddered thinking about it. "That's true! No one needs that especially you." Adam laughed a bit knowing it would be chaos for sure. When the kids finished eating Kim took them inside to change into their bathing suits. While Adam cleaned up the mess and headed to change himself. Kim was last to change but when she was done she noticed her family already on the beach playing. She loved watching them playing together. It felt like a dream come true. Kim watched a bit longer loving the scene before her. She decided to take a video before joining them. When she finally arrived the kid ran right to her wanting hugs. Adam smiled watching them. While he knew the kids loved him, Kim would always be number 1 to them both. She not only was their mother but the only parent they knew for a long time. Plus she protected them with her life always.

The family settled around the towels building sand castles. Enjoying this quiet time together. "Swimming with otters." Kim said out of no where. Adam looked confused but her face said it all she wanted to swim with otters. That was a wish list thing to do together. "Sounds great. Where can we do that?" He wasn't sure. "Um I know of a few places but Delaware is actually one of them. So sounds like we need to plan a trip there next year." Kim smiled wide. "Deal!" Adam kissed her sealing the deal. The kids grew bored so they were taken down to the water. Both kids running in the shallow water splashing each other laughing like crazy. Kim stayed close just in case but the waves were calm and low today. It was the perfect day for the kids to be playing in the water. Adam took each out to get them drenched in water to cool off from the hot sun. The kids loved every moment. After an hour the couple decided to walk but let the kids walk in the water right by them. It was only enough to cover their feet so Kim knew it was pretty safe.

Milo ran ahead seeing something he wanted to check out. Adam followed close by just in case. "What did you find this time?" Adam was curious what he found. "I don't know?" He picked it up showing them what he found. "That's a starfish buddy. It's very delicate so be careful. We don't want to break it." He watched as Kim and Mia caught up. "See this spot in the middle of the starfish's back? That's where it eats." Kim showed both kids. Adam leaned close to Kim's ear. "Disney has done explaining to do." Kim just laughed with Adam. She swatted his chest before they put the starfish back. They continued walking picking up shells every once in a while. It was an easy walk with a nice slow pace. The kids loved it. "This has been so much fun. I'm happy we did this. Even if it was only a quick weekend getaway. It was much needed for all of us." Adam wrapped his arm around her shoulders as they walked. "Yeah this has been pretty perfect. It's nice seeing new places together. We need to do this again soon." Kim smiled watching the kids playing and exploring the shore line.

"Sounds like a good plan darling." He kissed the side of her head as they started to walk back to their rental. The kids laughing as they ran ahead. The beach was practically deserted again so the kids had room to run around and play without bothering anyone. They couldn't help but hear Mia shriek when she saw something in the sand. The couple ran closer. "Sweetheart what happened?" Kim was concerned but she didn't seem hurt. "Ghost Crab!" She point squealing with joy. "Oh hunny that's great but you scared us!" Kim looked at Adam shaking her head. "Sorry mommy, sorry daddy!" Mia did feel bad but she was still excited. "What's a ghost crab?" Adam hadn't heard of it before. "It's a small crab that doesn't require water and is almost see through. It's tan and clear almost. It blends in with the sand hence the ghost name." Kim pointed as they watched it bringing sand out of the hole it was digging out. "Cool. Not dinner but it's cool." He laughed a bit.

"Are you hungry?" Kim asked seeing it was close to 5 at that point. "Yup! Let's head back so we can eat and then do showers before bed time." Adam knew the kids would be hungry too from all the running around. "Sounds good. Let's head back kiddos." The kids cheered heading back to the house. They loved to eat so they were down for getting a move on. Before entering the house Kim washed their feet making sure not to track sand in the house. Adam took the kids to get dressed so they could head out again. Kim was changing at the same time wanting to be dressed for dinner and not in a bathing suit. That was not appropriate to her at all but people often did that in beach towns. Adam changed quick after the kids were done wanting to go soon. He was starving now. "Let's go kiddos. I'm hungry!" He laughed scooping them up quickly. The squealed in surprise but laughed loving the extra attention. Kim followed them to the door getting the kids settled in the stroller before they left the house. She was thrilled with how this trip went.

They headed out looking for a place on the waterfront. Kim loved eating outside and so did the kids. The found what looked like a local restaurant that stated they served local caught seafood which was exactly what they were looking for. They headed in seeing it was somewhat busy but not too bad since it was a Sunday. They were given a table outside looking over the water but it was shaded which was nice but it was a little cool with the ocean breeze. They ordered for the kids first as the couple,e continued to look over the menu. Kim had decided on the catch of the day which was Rockfish. Adam went with Tuna. He wasn't sure about the other but Kim agreed to share with him. It was a good compromise for the couple. The small family talked about their favorite thing from vacation and both kids agreed with having a vacation with their dad was the best part. Adam cried softly but they were tears of joy. He loved his kids so much.

As their dinners arrived Adam watched Kim's eyes light up. She was thrilled that it was cooked right, not over cooked at all. She took the first bite shimmying in her seat with happiness. Adam laughed. "That good?" He asked as she danced in her seat. "So darn good! Here!" Kim gave him a bite of her fish. She watched him process the tastes. "Okay that is really good! I can see why you are dancing around in your seat." He loved her like this. "So good! I'm happy we came here." Kim offered bites to the kids as well. She loved seeing them try new things. Adam offered the kids bites as well. Both kids were happy to try something new. They liked both so Kim and Adam shared some with each kid. If they didn't finish their dinner it was fine since they were still eating a ton of food. "Can we have dessert?" Mia asked. "Yes but you have to share. I don't want you having too much sugar before bed time okay." Both kids nodded which was what they expected. The kids seldom argued with Kim. And when they did it was only because they were overly tired.

"Dessert sounds good to me." Adam winked at Kim letting her know he had something else in mind. She just laughed returning her focus back to her food. The kids were excited for dessert Kim normally only met them get ice cream so this was a treat. They got three different desserts to share between the 4 of them. Everyone excited for the sweet, sugary goodness. The kids cheered as the desserts arrived. They couldn't wait to dig in. "Okay let's try them all." Kim helped them get bites of each dessert. Both kids looked in heaven. Adam was taking lots of photos of them and their adorable messy faces. When dessert came to an end the small family paid the bill and headed back to the rental. They decided to play in the sand till bed time. The kids were excited to keep playing. They loved the outdoors and October was not normally warm weather for them. October in New York and Chicago was normally cool and snowing towards November. So they wanted to soak up as much sun as they could. And Kim did too. Anything to keep her skin clear for a bit longer.

Adam sat on the ground with the kids playing. Kim laid next to the kids taking photos of her family playing but also looking into getting Adam the raceway experience for Christmas. She knew he would love it and while it was a bit more than she would normally spend on Christmas gifts this seemed important. Their first Christmas as a real family. It would be perfect. "I can't believe we leave tomorrow already. I'm not ready to leave." Kim whined like a child. "I know this has been amazing. But it will happen again. We know that. Heck in January we could take another weekend away." He shrugged a bit. "Um probably not since Erin is due in January. It could be anytime during that month. It's not an exact science." Kim shrugged back, "True. How far were you when you went into labor?" He asked still playing with the kids. "37 weeks. Which is pretty rare with twins. Anything after 34 weeks is considered full term with twins. But sheer will power kept them in as long as I could." Kim explained as she watched the kids. "That's crazy! I can't imagine how you got around like that. That's intense." Adam was surprised she made it that long.

"Yeah it was nuts. Plus I was basically on my own so it was hard. And because it's SVU I still worked crime scenes till I went into labor." She watched his jaw drop. "That can't be right? I can't believe they allowed that!" He was shocked but also angry they put his kids in danger. "It's really mostly victims. We didn't do raids often which I stayed back on but I interviewed 2 victims on the same day I went into labor." She watched him process. "Look we can talk more later but I know that can't happen again." She watched him smile and nod. They played a bit longer till it was bath time. Adam carried both kids to the bathroom to get them washed up. Both kids were happy to get washed up but Kim was watching the whole time knowing Milo would bolt out the door if he got the chance. The little dude loved being naked after bath time. The couple hoped he grew out of it soon. It was frustrating but they managed. Bath time was over quick and Milo was out and ready to bolt. Adam wrapped him up quick with a towel to stop him from running. He was laughing hysterically. "Nope dude! You are getting dressed in your jammies." Adam shook his head but loved every minute of it.

"Alright jammies, then into bed for story time." Kim helped Mia get dried off and dressed. They headed into their room to get them settled in the bed. Milo was happy to get settled into bed. He was tired and crashing but he was still trying to stay awake. Kim settled next to the kids with the book. "It's okay to fall asleep. You both played hard today." Kim assured them. Kim started to read the book feeling both kids falling asleep towards the end of the book. She finished the book kissing their cheeks softly as she tucked them in. She whispers I love you before Adam does the same. They closed the door as they headed back to the patio to rest together. "So you mentioned a talk later. Is this later?" Adam asked pulling her on to his lap. "Yeah I think it is. What do you want to know? Or ask?" Kim wasn't sure where his head was at. "You mentioned that you know working crimes scenes can't and won't happen again. Does that mean you decided you want more kids?" He was confused or maybe more curious.

"Um I'm still not sure still but I know for sure that I can't work the field in Intelligence and be pregnant. I know you need to hear that. I know that it would cause a fight if I didn't say something. So I just wanted to let you know that if we do decide to have more then I will do desk duty. I promise you that." She watched him process her words. "Lord I know this is hard for you to talk about. But I'm proud of you for having it. I also am so thankful that you would desk duty this time. I wouldn't be able to relax knowing you were out there carrying our child, my child. Even if you go to SVU, if it gets started please stay at the district for interviews. Or the hospital for interviews. I need you safe. I need them safe." He pleaded with his eyes. "I will do my best. I promise to always do my best to come home safe and sound to you all." She hugged him tight.

"That's all I ask. I just want you and all our kids safe. So thank you for having this difficult conversation. I really appreciate it." He pulled away a bit placing his hand on her belly. "I have no idea how you made it to 37 weeks. And I hope like hell I get to feel you pregnant. Get to feel them kicking, hear their heart beat, see them moving on the sonogram. I really hope you believe me." He watched her nod holding back tears. "Just give me time. Please just give me time." He could hear she crying as she spoke. "Always! No rush. I just needed you to know I'm all in." He kissed her hard loving her arms wrapped around his neck holding on for dear life. He scooped her up carrying her to the bedroom knowing outside was too public for her. Even though the beach was deserted he knew she would want privacy, he respected that. "I think Disney had the right idea with the starfish!" He whispered as he pulled her shirt off and ripped the bra off he needed it gone and he needed his personal heaven. "Fuck Disney!" Kim groaned feeling his mouth on her skin.

"How about I just fuck you? Then make love you to?" He got no answer just her legs wrapping around his waist pulling him closer. The couple made quick work of the left over clothes before he thrusted inside her filling her fully. Her legs wrapped around him once more as he started to move. It was all hard and fast but the promise of love making right after was the motivation to finish hard and fast. The couple was left sated after several rounds but never left each other's warm embrace. They needed the other to survive right now. The anchor keeping them in this reality. No matter the reality it felt like heaven and no one could convince them otherwise. As they fell asleep together it felt different but a good different. Like they were making more progress to a future with more kids. Adam hoped with all he had that it would happen and he would do everything in his power to make sure Kim knew he was never leaving and things would never change. But for now he was content with his family of four.
