Kagome wasn't sure what exactly led her to pick up that stray cat. Maybe it was her kindness, or maybe somewhere deep down she longed for just a little bit of unpredictability. Perhaps it'd prove to be a mistake, but she had never been one to turn away from anyone in need. Surely vampires couldn't be that different from demons.

The well has been sealed up for the better part of four years. Kagome has moved on from that part of her life, but her life is still so far from normal. From demons to vampires, it's as if nothing ever changed. She could claim to resent the day she met Mikuni all she wanted, but they both knew those claims were all untrue. After all, they are two souls so alike in this world.

She was an angel who fell from the skies, cursed to be left nameless. The Avatar of Lust found her and gave her a name- Kagome. A Pillar, the virtue of peace and love will turn to something truly ghastly when corroded. Without that which holds the corruption back, there's nothing to keep her from breaking. When she does, Tsubaki's war is nothing more than mere child's play.

If he'd ever been anything to her, it was fiercely protective. Kagome felt her twin's affection teetered on the line of obsessive, but Mikuni thought otherwise. The past is stained by shadows and nightmares alike. All she wants is closure, but things are never as simple as they seem. Especially with the looming threat of Tsubaki.

Kagome has an eventful life, but lately things just seem to keep getting worse. Among an influx of enemy vampires, an old enemy from her past had risen again. Naraku has been revived, and she's never been less prepared.
